Stopping by to promote her current Broadway show "Dead Accounts," Katie Holmes arrived at the "Late Show with David Letterman" in the Big Apple on Thursday (December 20).
The "Dawson's Creek" star looked cute in a bright Pink knee-length dress, brown trench coat, and tan heels as she gave a shy smile to fans and photographers.
Last month, the 34-year-old actress received the highest form of flattery when Anne Hathaway imitated her in a "Saturday Night Live" skit.
On Monday (December 17), Anne appeared on "The Ellen Degeneres" show and revealed that she had not heard from Katie, but explained, "What I really wanted to have happen, because this is the second time I've done Katie ... I wanted Katie to come on the show and do me, and I wanted to do this rap about how awesome I think Katie Holmes is."
Later, she echoed her praise, saying, "[Katie] is on Broadway, and killing it on Broadway, so she was busy."

I saw you guys talking about this in the previous LeAnn post, so here you go ? a post devoted to LeAnn Rimes?s WTF performance last night on The X-Factor. LeAnn came out to do a duet with 13-year-old Carly Rose Sonenclar for the song ?How Do I Live?. I actually forgot that ?How Do I Live? is one of LeAnn?s hit songs ? but she didn?t actually write, just FYI. It was written by famed songwriter Diane Warren. Still, it?s one of LeAnn?s most famous hits, and she came out to perform it with a young talent. What?s hilarious is that LeAnn thought the moment was totally about HER and not young Carly Rose. Even Carly realized that LeAnn was trying to steal her thunder, thus Carly is making some hilarious WTF baby-bitchfaces throughout the performance. A few more things to note: LeAnn is wearing those Givenchy boots that I used to like (but I can?t like them anymore). And seriously, did they rehearse this? It doesn?t feel like it.
After the odd duet, LeAnn said, ?I love this girl so much, she is such an amazing talent.? Can I just say? Between LeAnn and Britney Spears and this young Carly Rose, the vibe is very? weird. Britney was a child performer. LeAnn was a child performer. And now LeAnn and Britney are working to ensure that little Carly Rose comes out the winner of The X-Factor? I wonder if both Britney and LeAnn see themselves in Carly Rose. And I wonder if that scares them. There’s always someone younger and cuter (and more talented) coming along.

Rihanna usually vacations with her entourage, so I suspect she got some friends staying with her at the villa. But not Chris Brown ? sources keep saying that Chris Brown is back with Karrueche Tran for real now, and that Chris and Rihanna are ?on a break? after all of the crap that went down in Paris. Well? okay. Even though I hate this entire situation so much it makes me want to cry, my takeaway is that Chris made a series of choices last week in Paris, and he chose Karrueche over Rihanna. Meaning that CHRIS was the one to walk out on Rihanna, and as soon as he wants her back, she?ll go running back to him. Which sucks.
Meanwhile, Rihanna just bought herself a $12 million home in LA ? you can see photos of the crazy spread here. That house is AMAZING.

Max Factor clearly has their work cut out for them while employing Gwyneth Paltrow as their latest downmarket spokesmodel. Last month, the cosmetics brand revealed their first of “seven sides of Gwyneth Paltrow” by painting Goop in her “writer” persona, which Goop herself basically described as a creative person who goes out to dinner in London. Yes, it was ridiculous because Gwyneth unironically failed to realize that writers spend most of their time, uh, sitting at a desk and, you know, writing. As far as the rest of Goop’s makeup personas go, I personally can’t wait to see Max Factor’s take on her “cleansing” persona. Admit it — you’re curious too.
Now Max Factor has revealed Goop’s “rock chick” persona, I guess because she’s married to a “rock star.” Yes, those quotes are there for a reason because Coldplay really isn’t “rock” music, right? But this is about makeup, and Gwyneth’s look here is essentially all about the smokey eyes. She actually looks really good with her hair all mussed up (as opposed to her usual flat-ironed tresses) like that because I can sort of see some sex appeal bubbling under the surface. I’m not really crazy about the Pink sequinned dress though.
Here’s a behind the scenes video of Gwyneth gooping it up as a punk rocker chick. Does she pull it off? Not really, but it’s better than her “writer” persona.

Aw! Claire Danes has welcomed her first child just one day after the season finale of her hit show, Homeland. Claire and cute English husband Hugh Dancy welcomed a baby boy on Monday, and they just announced it yesterday. Claire?s pregnancy became increasingly obvious during the last part of Homeland?s season 2 ? you could really tell that the directors were shooting around some of Claire?s angles, and her face really looked fuller in the last episodes. Still, I?m kind of surprised that she gave birth so soon! I didn?t think she was due for another month or so.
It will be a very happy holiday for Claire Danes and Hugh Dancy!
The Homeland star, 33, and her actor husband welcomed their first child, son Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, on Monday, Dec. 17, her rep confirms to PEOPLE exclusively.
Since confirming her pregnancy in July, Danes has stayed mostly mum on the subject of baby ? including keeping the sex a secret ? but tells PEOPLE in its new year-end double issue that she looks forward to ?getting to know our new Dancy? over the break.
Danes, who won an Emmy in September for her role as bipolar CIA-agent Carrie Matheson on the hit Showtime drama, wed Dancy, 37, in a private ceremony in France in 2009.

I?ve been thinking about the finale of Homeland all week, and I?ve also indulged in some blog-cheating to read some other conspiracy theories, and I?ve found one that I really like ? go here if you want to have your world crushed. I think that conspiracy theory might be The One. I think Brody WAS the bomber after all. I think Carrie got played. AGAIN. And not just her ? Quinn got played too. And that theory means that? Estes was right all along?!!? Also, this isn?t so much a spoiler as just an assessment of the TV awards season ? I think Claire Danes is going to sweep all of the major awards for her work on Season 2? but Damian Lewis might be a harder sell, because of his (maybe purposefully?) uneven performance.

Just as Us Weekly said a few weeks ago, Weight Watchers has released Jessica Simpson?s new (and likely FINAL) commercial for the program. Remember the first commercial? It was just Jessica from the neck up, talking about how she ?is not a supermodel? blah blah. Incidentally, when that first commercial came out, WW was all ?That crap was all her idea, we hate it.? But recently a source close to Jessica claimed, ?It was Weight Watchers? idea to shoot her from the waist up the first time.? Who do you believe? Anyway, the new commercial is? Jessica standing around, showing off her weight loss. It was shot a few months ago, probably right around the time she was being impregnated by Eric Johnson. She looks good. Truly!
See? That wasn?t so bad. The worst part is actually Jessica?s voiceover. She sounds like she has a cold or something. So nasal. When Us Weekly recently discussed the problems WW was having with Jessica?s second pregnancy ? problems that might mean WW doesn?t pay her the full $4 million for her endorsement ? a source claimed, ?They don?t think it can run. No one wants to hear about a pregnant woman dieting. Her pregnancy confuses the message.? And from what I can see, it looks like Jessica is totally done with Weight Watchers and portion control too. Last week we heard about her gorging on some onion rings and grilled cheese ? probably with a slutty brownie chaser. Poor Jess.
Also, I understand that she might have still been breastfeeding when she shot this commercial in November, but GOOD GOD look at her rack. It?s like all of the baby weight just got transferred to her boobs.

The Single White Female stench has been wafting around LeAnn for a long, long time, but Radar still wants to talk about it. So why not?
Since hooking up with Eddie Cibrian more than three years ago, LeAnn Rimes has been at constant odds with the actor’s ex-wife, Brandi Glanville, and an insider tells Star magazine the long-running feud has worn the singer down to the point that she’s hanging on Brandi’s every word, and emulating her in any way possible.
?It?s out of control, the way LeAnn stalks Brandi,? an insider tells Star. ?Even LeAnn?s friends think it?s weird, but she can?t seem to help herself. If Brandi tweets a picture of herself in a bikini, LeAnn does the same thing. If Brandi talks about becoming a dermatologist, LeAnn suddenly starts talking about it on Twitter?it?s really strange!?

One source says the obsession is tied to LeAnn’s insecurity in her marriage to Eddie, a Hollywood hunk with a history of cheating.
?Ever since LeAnn got Eddie, all she can think about is how to keep him, and it?s making her act like a lunatic,? the source tells Star. ?She has it in her head that if she looks and acts just like Brandi, Eddie won?t ever leave her. And I didn?t realize that LeAnn was STILL copying the little things Brandi did too ? is LeAnn seriously still copying Brandi?s every shoe and clothing purchase? Good God. And it?s not like Brandi is CoCo Chanel or anything ? I?m just saying, it?s not like Brandi’s taste in clothes, cars, doctors and men is so great. Brandi wears some cute outfits sometimes, but if I?m going to copy someone? I don?t know, I guess I would take the time to find a better role model? Is that how to describe this? Does LeAnn see Brandi as some kind of twisted role model? Or is it LeAnn?s way of psychologically annihilating Brandi ? by completely absorbing Brandi?s personality, her style, her everything? Accompanied by two of her four children, the ?Dancing with the Stars? host topped off her casual look with a grey felt hat and scarf as she and her little ones looked for Christmas gifts.
After a long day, the exhausted Ms. Burke lamented about the holiday hustle and bustle to her twitter followers, tweeting, ?Finally done shopping, crazy holiday traffic, kids in the car 4 hours! @LeapFrog is the best entertainment - they love theirs."
Brooke revealed that she is cancer-free on her blog last week, writing, ?The thyroid cancer has been removed from my body and all my lymph nodes are clear. So I?m hoping that this is the end of the story ? Thank God!?.

Back in 2009, the 33-year-old actress married her British actor husband in a private ceremony in France. Cyrus is the couple's first child.
It's an exciting time for Claire for many reasons. She is also nominated for and Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series for her work on Showtime's "Homeland." Though, it may be too soon to leave the little one when the awards take place on January 13th.
