Sporting a black jacket with a grey top and black leggings, the ?Walk the Line? actress was in good spirits as she strolled up the sidewalk with a smile.
Perhaps Reese?s sunny disposition had something to do with the Best Actress nomination she received from the 2015 Critics? Choice Awards panel.
Ms. Witherspoon will compete against Jennifer Aniston, Marion Cotillard, Felicity Jones, Julianne Moore and Rosamund Pike.

Yes, Lindsay Lohan has totally changed, you guys. She?s so different now that she?s living in London and not LA. All she did in LA was go out at night and party. All she does in London is? attend random events and get fall-down wasted. And she brought her little sister Aliana along for the ride! Last night, Lindsay and Ali went to the LOVE x Balmain Xmas Party at The Ivy Market Grill. Lindsay was also at the Chiltern Firehouse at some point in the evening, in a different outfit.
Ali is 20 years old now. Michael K at Dlisted always calls her The Curious Case of Ali Lohan, which is funny and somewhat true. I think Ali looks somewhat normal in these photos though ? she isn?t messing with her face like she was a few years ago. She looks even younger to me in these photos, actually. Like, I had to look up her age because Ali looks about 16 years old.
As for Lindsay? cracked-out mess. She never changes. There is no ?New Lindsay.? Just the same Cracken in a different city.
PS? Apparently, Ali was in London to record something with Duran Duran. What the hell? Step away from Simon Le Bon!!!!

These are photos from last night’s New York premiere of American Sniper. Bradley Cooper is wearing a sweet Tom Ford suit but looks exhausted. He’s probably doing a standard 8-shows per week for The Elephant Man. Dude got snubbed for a Globe nomination, so he may yet escape an Oscar campaign this year. But he does want an Oscar, badly. He just wants us to think he doesn’t care. Bradley’s girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, didn’t walk the red carpet. She’s in town, wearing various slouchy street ensembles over the past few days. She attended the afterparty for the premiere in an odd floral dress.
Sienna wore a Balenciaga dress with a very sheer look underneath the cross-bodice. She’s flashing her abs and her legs with only granny panties to preserve her modesty. I think this would be too flashy for an awards show, but somehow it works at a premiere. The dress is very see-thru, but the diamond appliques hide enough flesh and make it look fancy. Right? (Kaiser’s correct though — Sienna’s style mojo ain’t what it used to be.)
Sienna’s wearing Harry Winston diamonds and Balenciaga sandals. I do like Sienna’s new messy blonde crop. Elsa Pataky and Jennifer Lawrence favor the same style right now. I’m also including pics of Sienna heading to a press luncheon yesterday. She wore a blue A.L.C. flared dress. Cute.
Stacey Dash showed up too. She’s not in the movie. She only wanted to wear a too-tight bandage dress, which she coordinated with a patriotic manicure.

Let?s see, what else? The loonies at Hollywood Life also claim that Kristen has been telling her friends that Sparkles and Twigs are ?just a fling? and they?ll be over within six months. This is going to make me sound dumb, but I had no idea that the artist Margaret Keane is still alive! She is! And she helped Amy Adams get into character for Tim Burton?s Big Eyes. Apparently, Keane is totally happy with Burton making a film about her life. Keane even attended the Big Eyes premiere last night. These are some photos from the premiere. Amy wore this green Max Mara shirt-dress thing. I actually like it. This is a beautiful color on Amy, she looks comfortable, she?s got pockets, her hair looks amazing and everything is working. I have to say though? Margaret Keane stole the red carpet!! She?s 87 years old and she?s still killing it.
I have to say though, Amy didn?t look too happy at the premiere. Big Eyes was supposed to be another one of her big Oscar-contender films and people thought she was going to be shortlisted for all of the awards. Big Eyes did pick up some Golden Globes nominations (for Best Comedy, and Best Comedic Actor and Actress for Christoph Waltz and Amy), but Amy was shut out of the SAGs and the Critics Choice. My thought: Jennifer Aniston took Amy?s place this year. I wonder if that will happen with the Oscar nominations too? Will Aniston make the Best Actress shortlist and Amy will be shut out? People have said that Big Eyes isn?t really a great film, but when has that ever mattered? Besides, Amy is usually the best part of even lukewarm films.

Way to make the rest of us feel bad, Scarlett Johansson! The 30-year-old blond bombshell admitted to having her own body insecurities Sunday on Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2014.
“It’s an okay body, I guess,” said the actress, who welcomed her and Romain Dauriac’s first child Rose Dorothy just three months ago. “I wouldn’t say it’s particularly remarkable, though. I don’t like my thighs, my midsection.”
And how does the newly married mama feel about being viewed as a sex symbol? “I never put on a sexy face,” she told Barbara, “so I don’t know what it means to act seductively.”

Says the woman who has dressed up like a nouveau Marilyn Monroe for multiple ad campaigns, campaigns that often feature her ?SexyFace? pose (lips apart, mouth open, eyes widened). Let?s not play that game, Scarlett! But I feel her about her problem areas or whatever. I too have issues with my thighs and midsection and I always will. It?s just my body type. And it?s just Scarlett?s body type too. That being said, she looks really great. I can?t believe how quickly she?s lost the baby weight.

The American Country Countdown Awards took place in Nashville last night. They were hosted by Florida Georgia Line and featured performances by Carrie Underwood, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and Miranda Lambert, among many others. I’ve never heard of the ACCAs and that’s because this is the first year they’ve happened. It seems like new awards shows are cropping up all over the place. You can see the winners and nominees here.
First off we have country queen Carrie Underwood in a tight white Ashdon gown featuring one sleeve and sheer cutout panels with gold beading. Carrie is very pregnant at this point, and she looks uncomfortable like she’d rather be at home in her sweatpants. I give her a lot of credit for putting on her game face and getting out there. She is a trooper. This is not my favorite dress in that it’s not particularly interesting or fashion-forward. I find it kind of cheap looking, but she’s gorgeous as usual.

Later on in the night Carrie changed into this voluminous blue Leanne Marshall gown which is much more suited to her. She performed a medley of her hit songs. (You can see her performance here.) The layers on this dress are so well draped that you can barely tell that she’s pregnant.
Miranda Lambert also had two different looks last night. On the red carpet she wore this Alon Livn black gown featuring a leather bodice with artfully cut flame-like details. This is so sexy and flattering. For her performance she changed into a shorter dress with similar cutouts along the bustline and tassels down the hem. It’s amazing how much different Lambert looks with curled hair and wearing a shorter dress. She should stick to sleek hair. Lambert performed with Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson, you can see their performance here. Miranda took home the award for Female Vocalist of The Year.

Good lord, this really looks like an old photo of Jennifer Aniston, right? Like Allure used a photo from 2004 for their cover. Hm. Anyway, Jennifer covers the January issue of Allure to promote Cake, which has already garnered Golden Globe and SAG Best Actress nominations for Aniston (plus, she got a Critics Choice nomination yesterday as well). Aniston has really upped her interview game for her presumptive Oscar campaign ? last week, her THR interview was actually interesting and lucid. These quotes from Allure are also pretty interesting in that it?s not just random, spacey thoughts and New Age-speak. Some highlights:
Why ?feminism? is seen as complicated: “Because people overcomplicate it. It’s simply believing in equality between men and women. Pretty basic.”
On the questions about pregnancy and children: “I don’t like [the pressure] that people put on me, on women?that you’ve failed yourself as a female because you haven’t procreated. I don’t think it’s fair. You may not have a child come out of your vagina, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t mothering?dogs, friends, friends’ children. I have a lot of friends who decided not to have children, who can’t have children, or are trying but are having a difficult time. There’s all sorts of reasons why children aren’t in people’s lives, and no one has the right to assume. It’s quite rude, insulting and ignorant.”
Her public persona as a woman who was ?too driven? to have babies: “This continually is said about me: that I was so career-driven and focused on myself; that I don’t want to be a mother, and how selfish that is.” Ticking off these accusations now, she seems unfazed. But when it’s suggested to Aniston that maybe she just lets the insinuations roll off her back after so many years of hearing them, she says, “No. Even saying it gets me a little tight in my throat.”
The conversation about ?going ugly for Oscar?: “A woman going physically unattractive is where you get recognition and some sort of respect. You read things like, ‘Oh, finally, she’s acting!’” The actress calls such criticism “quite sexist, to be honest, because men don’t get that.”
On Justin Theroux: “We’re equals. He’s a nurturer. He is so fiercely loyal. Beyond protective. I mean, the way he takes care of our dogs, he takes care of me, he takes care of friends.” Aniston doesn’t say much about their wedding plans. “We do talk about it all the time.?
On Gwyneth Paltrow’s style: “I’ve known her a long time. That woman has got style to the moon and back. Chic, effortless, gorgeous. This sums us up. Look, I’m in a T-shirt, jeans, and 400-year-old shoes, and this one is just, like, to a T. She’s always been sweet to me.”

Props to Jennifer for talking about feminism without sounding like a jackass (coughEvangelineLillycough). And she?s absolutely right, society and the media and other people shouldn?t judge women for their reproductive choices. In general. But what I always say about Jennifer is? she invited them in. She always invited the speculation and conversation about the state of her womb. Until she didn?t. And now she?s got different talking points. Now the speculation is ?rude, insulting and ignorant.? It might have been better if she said that in her 2005 Vanity Fair hit-job interview, right?

Here are some photos from last night?s LA premiere of Unbroken. No Angelina Jolie, obviously. She has chicken pox, so she was probably at home, fighting the urge to scratch and maybe eating some soup with Vivienne, Knox and Zahara. Do you think Zahara makes soup for her mom when La Jolie is feeling itchy? I do. So last night, in Angelina?s place, Brad Pitt walked the carpet with Maddox, Pax and Shiloh. They all wore suits and looked very snazzy. Brad?s parents were there too ? apparently, they were already coming in for the premiere (and perhaps to stay through Christmas?) and they just decided to attend the premiere in Angelina?s place.
As for how Angelina is doing, Brad told E! News, ?Her spirits are high. A little spotted and a little itchy, but her spirits are high.” God, I hope so. I hope she rallies. I hope she manages to make all of the h8rs crazy with how much she wins at life.

Not many people will care about this story or Rose McGowan’s chartreuse pumps and newly short hair as she shopped on Melrose this weekend. I simply felt like reliving some Rose McGowan gossip from days past. Mostly because Rose is revising her past in a new interview with Flatt magazine. I’m not including the photos because her girls are on display, but you can see them here.
Rose is preparing to debut her first directorial effort, Dawn, which draws from Flannery O’Connor’s A Good Man is Hard to Find. The story is about a serial killer, and the New York Times praised the film and said Rose had “the makings of a talented director.” Huh.
Serious Rose is pumped about being a director, and she wants to reframe her sexpot past. I don’t know why this is a problem for her. Rose played up her vampy ways for decades. But she’s complaining about her semi-NSFW Rolling Stone cover from 2007. The shot featured Rose and Rosario Dawson promoting Grindhouse. Both women are wearing a few strings of bullets and nothing else. Rose says that was the moment she refused to be sexualized ever again. Even though she takes it off for this magazine too. Oh well, let’s do these excerpts:
She’s done with being sexualized: “I just grew up with not just an appreciation, but the desire to break down the study of film. Okay Rose, let?s study the Lumiere Brothers, who invented the moving camera. Let?s now study and focus on this. So when I was discovered for acting I thought, oh, this must be what I?m meant to do. But I was never comfortable in the role of basically being voiceless. I worked with some seriously misogynistic directors. And people get a pass because they?re directors — but you don?t get a pass for being a bad person, you just don?t. I don?t think any job. I got really tired of being sexualized. There was a moment, I was on the cover of Rolling Stone, with a fake tan and gun belt around me and breasts, they gave me some big bouffant hair and glossy lips, and I just was like, I?ve had it, I have just had it. I?m like sick of being sexualized, I?m sick of this. So I just checked out and I ran around and I had the most fabulous time. I figured out finally what was wrong. It was not that I wasn?t meant to be an actress, it was just that I was meant to be in film, and I just was literally cast in the wrong role in life. And I?m good at acting, I like exploring different worlds and I like disappearing, but I spent 15 years disappearing into other people?s bodies, into other people?s minds, other people?s clothes, eating what other people would eat. It wasn?t that I didn?t have amazing moments or got to do amazing things, absolutely. I?m an artist, but I never felt like I was an artist as an actor. Not because of how I was treated, because that?s not how artists are treated, or should be treated, or people should be treated.”
On female directors: “I think it?s a great time for women filmmakers. Women are being afforded greater roles in their destiny, or roles in art, or roles as directors, but why should women be ‘afforded’ anything? I shouldn?t just be allowed to have something — it is my right. It is my right to create as much as it?s another human being?s right, and I think that comes first. Somebody asked if I thought a man would have made Dawn, and I don?t know if they could have. I don?t know if it would have occurred to them.
“The Seattle International Film Festival put me and dawn was in the festival, which was an honor, but then under genre, they put ‘woman director.’ I feel bad because then of course I go on Twitter and I was like, ?Dear Friends on Twitter, please explain to the Seattle International Film Festival why a woman director is not a genre.? I got a letter back from them saying we can assure you: we are neither sexist nor racist. I was very confused by that one, and I said no. It?s a passive sexism and that?s dangerous. All the people that looked at that to go into the program, nobody waved a flag at that one, because it?s normal. And that?s what has to change, I think.”
Her philanthropic efforts: “I support Children of The Night, they are who I earmark for things and anybody who?s going to donate on my behalf, they work to support children and teen runaways. I?m involved in are working at Walter Reed Hospital. I?ve been working with the military in the USO for years. I?ve been to Afghanistan and Kuwait, and I?ve done a lot of stuff in the last seven years military. I?m very, very close to that world. I have the utmost respect for them, and it?s beyond that. I think I would have been a really good soldier or officer, frankly. Except for I probably would have gotten kicked out for some reason or another, I?m sure. But I?m a fighter, I?m a born fighter, and I respect fighters, in any capacity.”

Most of what Rose says about female directors is spot on. But Rose acts like she was promoting a wholesome project when she got her kit off for Rolling stone. Please. She was working on Grindhouse, which was full of innuendo and featured Rose rolling around in the tiniest skirt imaginable. She had sexy times in that movie, you know. And she hooked up with the married director, Robert Rodriguez. (They later got engaged and broke up). Rose was proud of the project. I remember hearing stories about how she considered that premiere to be her star moment, and she forbade the other actresses from wearing red that evening. Only one red dress allowed, I guess. Then Rose pushed Robbie Rod to remake Barbarella. Thank goodness that never happened. Poor Rose would have had to sexualize herself again.

Sorry I didn?t cover this yesterday! In my defense? these are just the nominations for the Critics Choice Awards. It?s not like these are some big Oscar harbinger. And in my defense, they nominated EVERYBODY. Every single person who had a film out this year got a nomination. The Critics Choice people want everyone to come to their party. And finally, Angelina Jolie got nominated for Best Director. And Brad Pitt got nominated for Fury. There are also a bunch of comedic performance nominees, but you get the idea. I love that Ralph Fiennes is finally getting some recognition for his crazy-weird performance in The Grand Budapest Hotel, because whoever thought of putting Ralph in a Wes Anderson film is a GD genius. As for everything else? sigh. Is it weird that I still think Best Director and Best Picture are crazy-competitive this year? Boyhood has won a lot of the critics? awards, but I think Birdman is a contender. And Selma is picking up major steam too. And seriously, who is going to win Best Actor? A lot of people think Keaton has it locked up, but I think he?s far from a sure thing. Last thing: YES Tilda Swinton FOR EVERYTHING.

Wearing a tight white dress with gold accents and a matching clutch, the 31-year-old stepped onto the carpet with plenty of cheers from the fashion community.

She?s an unstoppable force in both the modeling and merchandising realms and Miranda Kerr couldn?t look any hotter on the cover of InStyle Australia's January 2015 issue. The amazing Aussie stunner is on top of her game these days, though she admits that splitting up from Orlando Bloom was a serious downer.
Kerr explains, "It's tough. It's not easy going through all of that and I never thought I would. But we work our way through it. We agree on pretty much everything when it comes to Flynn,"
And despite rumors to the contrary, Miranda isn?t seeing anyone at the moment. "I?m single, very single. And really happy to be single."
When she does finally settle down again, Ms. Kerr says she?ll draw on the lessons she?s learned from her past relationships. ?I?ve learned communication is key; that it?s really important to be honest and open about what you?re feeling. It?s okay to have a bad day.?
