He had his heart broken by Kim Kardashian after only 72 days of marriage, so it?s no wonder Kris Humphries wanted to get rid of the engagement ring he bought her.
The NBA basketball stud put the 16.21-carat center diamond bling up for auction with Christie?s NYC on Tuesday (October 15) and it fetched an impressive $620,000 (the winning buyer will actually shell out $749,000).
However, Humphries is said to have spent $2 million on the ring initially, so that?s actually a pretty massive loss. Kris is reportedly planning on donating a portion of the funds to charity.
An inside source previously told press, "Kim has been waiting for the day he would auction it. Everyone always asked what Kim did with the ring -- she silently gave it back over a year ago! And Kris waited until the divorce was final to sell it."

As I previewed yesterday, Natalie Portman covers the new issue of Marie Claire (to promote Thor 2: The Dancing Loki), and I still think this is one of the worst Portman editorials I?ve ever seen. You can think whatever you want of her personality, but Natalie is a beautiful woman and you really have to TRY to make her look this washed out and dead-eyed and like a Twilight extra. I think there are two notable quotes here. First: ?I grew up around a lot of snobbism about what was important and what was serious, and I really reject that.? Er. Seriously? This is not a comedian defending his love of fart jokes. This is Natalie Portman, the Queen of Holier-Than-Thou, defending her career choices, I think. What it shows is that Natalie has different standards for the art she creates and the ?art? other people create. Just my opinion. The second quote: ?I never felt like there was anything more important than me. Which I know can probably create an a–hole, too.? Precisely. At least she?s showing a sliver of self-awareness.
Interestingly enough ? and yet more grist for the conspiracy mill ? Darren Aronfsky gave some quotes for Natalie?s interview too. Aronfsky said: ?She’s a very private person. But because she’s been in the spotlight since she was so young and she’s so beautiful, there’s this real attention on her. Usually people who are haunted by the paparazzi say they don’t want it, but they do. Natalie has no interest in that. She’s not playing that game.” Fascinating.

I saw these Jake Gyllenhaal photos first thing this morning and I was taken aback by how weird Jake looked to me. It took me a moment to realize that Jake has been bearded (heh) for a large chunk of the past few years, and I had gotten used to seeing him with the facial hair. It?s been a while since I?ve seen his naked face and now that I?m seeing it? he looks different, right? Is this the same Jake? Us Weekly points out that Jake has lost weight for his new movie, so maybe that?s what?s throwing me off.
Jake Gyllenhaal is losing himself in his latest movie. Like Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale before him, the End of Watch star, 32, has undergone a major transformation for a role. On Sunday, Oct. 13, the normally athletic actor revealed a noticeably slimmer frame on the set of his new film, Nightcrawler.
The thriller, set for release in 2014, features Gyllenhaal as a freelance reporter in L.A. who stumbles upon the underground world of crime journalism. Dressed for the part in gray slacks, a white shirt, and a gray jacket, the Oscar nominee (for 2006?s Brokeback Mountain) looked as if he’d lost a significant amount of weight, particularly in his face. He also sported longer locks, which he combed over to the side of his head.
Of course, this is not the first time the actor has made over his body for a role. He famously bulked up in 2010 to play the title role in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
“I was paid to get in shape,” Gyllenhaal told Moviefone of packing on several pounds of muscle for the part. “The hardest thing I think was being able to get flexible, because acrobatics and stuff like that take a real flexibility…There were a lot of times it was inhibiting because normally, if you’re a gymnast, you wouldn’t have huge, big arms.”
That said, he had a great time. “There was nothing really that hard about it,” he said. “It was pretty fun.”
Nightcrawler also stars Rene Russo and Bill Paxton. Gyllenhaal is producing as well as starring in the movie, which has a shoestring budget — but a lot of heart. “I’m producing it with Tony Gilroy,” he told Us Weekly at the Toronto International Film Festival. “We’re shooting on a 24-hour schedule and we have like no money. But it’s a really solid screenplay.”

By the way, I LOVE Zodiac. God, that?s such a wonderfully done and elegantly creepy movie. And I don?t understand why Jake would want to do a budget version of it either, considering he was so good in Zodiac.
So, would you hit it? I would not. I prefer my Jake with a beard (!) and with some extra meat on his bones. But even then, I probably wouldn?t hit it because there?s something about Jake that makes my biscuit want to close up shop. Also: I will never want to bang a dude who wears his hair in a tiny ponytail. Ever.

During her interview with the publication, the "Charlie's Angels" actress chats about her daughter and shares how her beauty company Flower affects the parenting of the one-year-old.
"The beauty venture was a good thing for me to do as a parent," Miss Barrymore explained. "Olive is going to pick up a lot on the way I behave, so by being a businesswoman and caring about the things I do, or by being philanthropic with my charity work, I can show her how important it is to get outside of your own world."

Leonardo DiCaprio is at it again. We never covered these photos of Leo at the a Chinese film festival last month. Leo does clean up well but is looking extra “grumpy chihuahua” in these pictures. Perhaps that’s because Leo quietly broke up with Toni Garrn if a new lady’s claims are to be believed. It is true that Leo and Toni looked incredibly bored while taking in the US Open together. Leo was ready to trade in for a new model.
Of course Leo has a new model already! Of course she’s tall and thin with long blonde hair. That’s Leo’s only type of woman. The latest lady in Leo’s life is Kat Torres, and she is very young (24) and hails from Brazil. Strangely enough, she does not (yet) model for Victoria’s Secret. As Kaiser noted recently, Leo’s girlfriends usually enjoy the exposure of hanging with Leo for a few months. Who knows, this coupling could actually score Kat a VS gig. Leonardo DiCaprio’s latest love interest has been identified as 24-year-old international model Kat Torres, who works for Elite Model management in Paris.
Blonde Torres, a former 2012 Miss Caieiras beauty queen, a small city in Sao Paulo, spoke to Brazilian newspaper Extra confirming that she is dating The Great Gatsby star.
She said: “I met Leo in Cannes. We were staying in the same house at the festival.” The pair were photographed together, dressed casually and surrounded by security as their pushed their way through crowds.
However, it appears that the model whose real name is Katiuscia Torres Soares, who was born in Belem in the northern state of Para, is a bit of a novice to the paparazzi as she claims surprise at being photographed with the Hollywood superstar.
While confirming that she is seeing DiCaprio, the model shied clear of saying too much about the romance. She said: “Leo is amazing, but I worry about what he will think about me talking to you. We have a pact that nothing can ever be said about our relationship. In Europe it is different. People see us together in many places so they do not need to ask us about anything.”
Torres who is 1’57m tall also revealed that DiCaprio is protective of his privacy, adding: “He doesn?t like being photographed and barely goes out walking once people have realized it’s him.”

I do feel sorry for Naomi Watts. She covers the new issue of Allure, and it?s a lovely shoot for a lovely woman. Except that she?s promoting the sh-tfest that is Diana, the film that has already been laughed out of theaters because it was completely and totally awful. Those were the worst reviews of Naomi?s career. And still, she has to eat it. She still has to promote it. You can see Naomi?s Allure slideshow here, and here are some highlights from the interview:
How Naomi got together with Liev Schreiber: “It was a lot more ballsy than I would ever normally be,” says Watts, who had met Schreiber years before they saw each other at the Met Costume Institute Gala in 2005. “He got up to say he was leaving, and I was like, ‘Oh, sh-t.’ So I said something cheeky. ‘Don’t you want my digits?’ It made him laugh. He texted me saying, ‘Would you like to go for a drink right now?’ And I said, ‘No, I’ll meet you for breakfast tomorrow.’”
On Schreiber?s claim that she made the director of The Painted Veil hire him: “I didn’t get him the role. Of course he got it for himself. He turned it down to begin with, and then I talked him into it…. I really had to push him because I wanted to see him.”
On Diana: “I thought, Everyone’s going to jump to these comparisons: ‘She hasn’t got the nose. She hasn’t got the voice.’ [I thought], it’s not going to work; it’s too scary. So I said no. But for some reason, I didn’t feel completely at peace with that decision. It was nerve-wracking every step of the way until I was there, and then it was like, ‘OK, now I’m just doing it.’”
Diana?s eyes: The key to playing Princess Diana was all in the eyes, says Watts, here reviewing images with Cavaco and photographer Carter Smith. “There was a ferocity and then a real fragility to her. You’re just drawn in by those eyes.” Watts perfected the princess’s smile and voice (“I’ve never worked so hard on a dialect,” says the actress, who trained with a coach), but at a certain point, she let instinct and feeling take over. “It was an interpretation. I had to make it my own,” says Watts.
Her next role: In the comedy St. Vincent De Van Nuys, “I play a woman who’s pregnant and pole dancing. I went to a strip club and saw these girls dancing. It’s very lazy, not like Scores or Las Vegas. It’s very low-rent.” If the challenge of Diana was nailing the accent, for this movie it’s been perfecting her gyrations. “I’m going to my pole-dancing class” after the shoot, says Watts. “From princess to pole.”
Naomi at the age of 45: “Women in their 40s have gone through quite a few different things, and so the roles are going to reflect that,” she explains. “People say, ‘Oh, it’s done by 40,’ and now everyone knows it’s not. I actually feel like the roles are a lot more interesting.”

Don?t you just feel sorry for her? Poor Naomi. You are above the crapfest that was Diana. Just cut your losses and go home. Still, I admire the fact that she?s still trying to talk it up, I guess. It seems to me that Naomi was so focused on trying to get Diana?s mannerisms and voice right that she didn?t even pay attention to how awful the script was, maybe? And I did chuckle when she talked about ?lazy? strippers at a low-rent grind joint.

Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart might break up. Seriously! That?s what Radar?s sources are claiming. Of course, the tabloids claimed for the better part of a year that Jennifer just wanted to get married but Casper just wasn?t proposing. The tabloids also said Casper might be gay, so God knows. The proof of this alleged ?cooling off? is that Jennifer went to DC last weekend with Casper, but she didn?t let him pose with her. And that they haven?t been photographed together in weeks.
Jennifer Lopez was basking in the spotlight as the guest of honor at the Human Rights Campaign national dinner on October 5 in Washington, D.C. There to accept the Ally for Equality Award, she happily strutted across the red carpet, posing for photos with several guests. But her much-younger boyfriend, Casper Smart, was not among them.
Although he did attend the awards, Smart was not photographed on the red carpet with Lopez. And RadarOnline.com has learned that a picture ? or lack thereof, in this case ? is worth a thousand words. In fact, they haven?t been photographed together in public in more than three weeks!
Now, multiple sources tell RadarOnline.com exclusively that the couple is headed for a breakup, and even had a mini-split this summer.
?Jennifer is pretty private about the relationship, but she?s been hinting that the spark is gone,? a source close to Lopez says. ?She?s having a hard time ignoring the fact that her head has been telling her for a while that this thing with Casper isn?t forever. And now her heart?s saying the same thing.?
Says the source, ?They?re obviously in very different places in their lives, and Jennifer wants to take responsibility for her life and not repeat the same mistakes she has made in the past. She enjoyed the relationship for what it is, but now that giddiness has turned to sadness.?
For Lopez, however, breaking up with her back-up dancer boy toy is easier said than done. According to the source, Lopez has tried to end their relationship several times, most recently in June. During a shoot for Viva Movil in NYC on June 14, ?Everyone on set was whispering about the news that J.Lo and Casper broke up,? a set insider tells RadarOnline.com.
?She seemed down and looked tired, like she hadn?t slept well. She holed up in her trailer for hours when she wasn?t needed for her scenes, and asked for vanilla Haagen Dazs ice cream and white flowers. It was obvious she was a million miles away.?
Casper, meanwhile, posted pics from a solo camping trip on his Instagram around the time of the shoot.
?Jennifer?s team started scheduling all her major appearances solo,? the source says. But Lopez eventually took him back ? for now.
The last time the couple was seen together was a night out in L.A. on September 21.
One big reason Lopez can?t let go, the source says, is his close relationship with her twins, Max and Emme.
?It?s hard for her to think of how to it explain it to the twins,? the source says. ?They love Casper. Jennifer?s probably going to at least stay friends with him so hopefully it won?t be as dramatic as it?s been talking to them about her split from their dad [Marc Anthony].?
Indeed, Lopez hinted she could soon be on the prowl in the October issue of Cosmo magazine. ?I have my own high standards for what I want in a partner and how I want to be treated,? she said. ?I bring a lot to the table.?

Here are some new photos of Meg Ryan and her boyfriend John Mellencamp taking a walk in NYC yesterday. John had a cigarette and Meg had a bottle of water. They?ve been together for about THREE YEARS. Can you believe that? It feels like yesterday that we were shocked that they had become crusty lovers. And now they?re something of a quiet but established couple. I haven?t heard any drama about them in years. I think they just live in NYC with Meg?s adopted daughter Daisy and they live a relatively quiet life.
But that kind of quiet life is expensive isn?t it? I?ve been wondering about Meg?s finances for a while, and I think the moves she?s been making show that Meg needs a cash infusion. First, she managed to get herself a People Mag cover story a few weeks ago, even though the story was just ?she?s not living in LA anymore, her life is quiet nowadays and she?s not interested in living the Hollywood lifestyle? blah blah bullsh-t. You know why it?s bullsh-t? Exhibit 1: that face says (to me) that she still cares very much about an LA lifestyle. That face says ?I?m terrified of looking even a little bit old, please see me as the sexy, bubbly rom-com queen again!?
So, the People Mag thing was the first step. The next step was actually securing Exhibit 2: a job. In the past few years, Meg has only done some guest spots on TV shows, she hasn?t done a movie since 2008. Well, now she?s scored a lead role (and a producer credit) in her own NBC pilot. The show will be about ?a sunny, devoted and desperately non-confrontational single mom who decides to return to work at her former publishing house, where she will be supervised by her 30-year-old former intern.? Sounds like a total loser to me, but then again, I?m not a former movie star who needs $$$.

A few years ago, I created some kind of sh-tstorm when I said that Kate Winslet looked jacked and tweaked, and that she was obviously made of lies when it comes to plastic surgery/Botox/non-surgical enhancements. To be fair to myself, throughout much of 2010 and 2011, Kate did look very ?different? and I kept pointing out that the version of Kate we were seeing was not the natural progression of aging considering her starting point of Titanic and Sense and Sensibility. And to be fair, Kate was rather strident in her claims she had never, ever done anything to her face.
I bring this up because I?m hoping that Kate has realized that she looks a lot better and a lot ?softer? without the Botox (and whatever else). Pregnancy helps a lot too! These are pics of Kate at the BFI London Film Festival last night, where she walked the red carpet for her new film, Labor Day. The dress is Jenny Packham ? Winslet also wore a Packham gown in Toronto too. That TIFF gown looked a lot like this one, just a different color.
Anyway, I think Kate looks amazing here. And look, that haughty, frozen look she had in 2011 is gone! MAGIC. The magic of not stuffing yourself with Botox. The magic of all of those pregnancy hormones which make you look glowing and radiant.
So, when do you think she?s due? I?d say sooner rather than later. Possible within the next month, maybe? And we still don?t know what?s going to happen with the name. Baby RockNRoll or Baby Winslet? Or Baby Hyphenate? Oh, God. What if it?s Eylove Winslet-RockNRoll?!?!?!

Yesterday, I confessed to finding it both hot and sweet that Robin Thicke claimed to have written “Blurred Lines” about his wife, Paula Patton. I know the guy has changed his lyrical story several times, and he and Paula probably get stuff on the side, but they seem happy together. Who knows — they could be faking it just like Heidi and Seal did all those years, but I refuse to see that right now.
At the moment, the couple is steadily veering into oversharing territory. Paula and Robin both gush about each other, but now Paula is addressing Robin’s “big d—” claim. To be more specific, there’s a part in the “Blurred Lines” video where model Elle Evans (the one who hilariously thought Miley’s VMA performance was “distasteful“) dances in front of silver balloons that read, “Robin Thicke has a big d—.” Paula says that claim is absolutely true:
On her style: “I would really love to be a sixties movie star like Sophia Loren or Brigitte Bardot but with a bohemian twist–I have a little bit of hippie in me. I was the kid who would go climb trees in a dress.”
On her diet: “I?m an extremist. Either I?m being healthy and organic, or I want a big, juicy In-N-Out burger, you know? And I want it now! It?s certainly not gonna make me a runway model, but it sure makes me happy.”
On she & Robin’s first kiss: “He sang Jodeci’s ‘Forever My Lady to me. He did a full-out R&B onstage performance in his dad’s living room. Then he kissed me. It worked!”
On being “the good girl”: “He ruined me! Gosh, I hope I?m still a good girl and a bad girl at the same time. And I think that every girl should know the bad girl inside her–and that doesn?t make her bad, you know?”
On Robin’s “big d—” claim: “It?s cool, it?s funny, it?s awesome! Listen, if I?m, you know, in the Miami Heat’s locker room, I don?t know where I stand, but…. But I think that the statement is fairly accurate!”

I don’t know, man. It doesn’t even matter what size Robin is packing down there, but now Paula’s put it into my head that it’s true. This seems a little try hard, and I thought the very same thing when Victoria Beckham was telling us all how David Beckham carried around an exhaust pipe in his pants. Why do these ladies care what we think about their man’s unit?

As I?ve been saying, Kim Kardashian looks like she?s lost almost all of the ?baby weight?. To my eyes, she?s pretty much back where she was before her pregnancy. We all have theories as to HOW Kim lost the weight though. Some of us think that there might have been some postnatal lipo. Some of us think that Kanye put her on a diet. Some of us think that Kim just lives in Spanx. While all of that could be true, I think we do have to acknowledge the possibility that she lost the weight the old-fashioned way: nursing, exercise and a reasonable diet. LOLJK.
Over the weekend, Page Six reported that both Kim and Kanye took a ?Barry?s Bootcamp class? in Sherman Oaks. I would imagine that it?s some kind of hardcore workout? Ugh. According to witnesses, ?They were being very encouraging with each other. They arrived a few minutes late, and Kanye was on his phone. He also stepped out of class early for another phone call, but Kim stayed the whole time before leaving through the back exit.? Well, it?s nice that they tried to work out together but Kanye still had to take care of some business.
As for diet? Kim just revealed she?s on Atkins. Oh my lord. Kim tweeted a response to a fan when asked how she?s losing weight: ?I’ve actually been doing the Atkins diet & luv it.? Atkins is that diet that was incredibly popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. I didn?t know people were still doing it, honestly. It?s high-protein, and low to no carbs. Like, instead of eating a baked potato, just eat a lot of bacon. Or something (I know that?s not really what it is). I know CB hates it when I?m violently hyperbolic, but I would kill myself if I had to adhere to Atkins. A life without carbs is not a life worth living. Anyway, according to Us Weekly, Kim is ?eating lots of lean proteins, healthy fats like nuts and avocado, carbs, fruits, veggies and cheese. She wanted to be a healthy, nursing mom and not toxify her milk with her diet or lose weight too quickly. She’s been doing Atkins since her doctor approved it at the end of June.” That actually sounds? smart? And healthy? What in the world?

Ivanka Trump has given birth to her second child! Ivanka?s probably already back at work as we speak. Ivanka?s dad Donald Trump announced the news on his Twitter, and all we know is that Ivanka gave birth to a son this time. Her first child (with husband Jared Kushner) was a little girl they named Arabella Rose. Arabella is a little more than two years old now.
It’s a boy! Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, welcomed their second child on Monday, Oct. 14. We just welcomed a beautiful & healthy son into the world,” the jewelry designer and Celebrity Apprentice boardroom judge tweeted at 11:39 p.m. ET. “Jared, Arabella and I couldn’t be happier!”
The couple welcomed their firstborn daughter, Arabella Rose, in July 2011. They have yet to reveal their little boy’s name or share other birth details with fans.
Ivanka’s famous father, Donald Trump, also expressed his joy via Twitter. “My beautiful daughter Ivanka just had a healthy baby boy. Jared and Ivanka are very proud!” the 67-year-old business magnate wrote. “Thanks to all for the wonderful congratulation sent to me on the birth of Ivanka’s little boy – so nice!”
The businesswoman recently opened up about her second pregnancy in the October/November issue of Fit Pregnancy magazine. “I feel amazing. I’ve been fortunate so far with this pregnancy. Thankfully, I never experienced morning sickness, but I did get a wave of fatigue that started at week 15 and went through week 17,” she said. “I can’t complain, because it dissipates so quickly, but waking up exhausted is not a fun feeling.”
The birth of their baby boy comes just 11 days before Ivanka and her husband will celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary. More than 500 guests, including Natalie Portman and Russell Crowe, watched them tie the knot at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on Oct. 25, 2009.

Congrats to Ivanka and Jared. I wonder what they?ll name the kid? Will Ivanka recycle the ?Donald? name somewhere? You may role your eyes, but the Trumps do love that name and I could see Ivanka using it as a middle name, like Benjamin Donald Kushner or something. Anyway, we know that Ivanka probably won?t be away from work very long, and that once she goes back to work she?ll be there 16-hours a day. And we also know that she doesn?t let the nannies spoil the kids at all. So? we?ll see. Welcome to the world, Baby Trump-Kushner!

Starting off the work week, Jake Gyllenhaal got down to business on the set of "Nightcrawler" in Los Angeles on Monday (October 14).
Looking casual, the "Day After Tomorrow" actor sported dark slacks, a button up and sunglasses as he shot scenes for the upcoming thriller.
Though details are still under wraps, the flick is set to follow Jake as a freelance crime reporter who is exploring Los Angeles' criminal nightlife.
"Nightcrawler" is directed and written by Dan Gilroy and will also star Rene Russo.
