The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" reality family looked very happy, as son Mason ran through the sand, while his gorgeous momma enjoyed some one-on-one time with new daughter, Penelope.
Of course, Kourtney's longtime boyfriend, Scott, made a statement of his own, accessorizing his swim trunks with a pirate eye patch that had the initials "LD" on it (for Lord Disick).

The ?We Bought a Zoo? babe explained that in order to prepare for her role as Janet Leigh, she contacted the actress? real-life daughter Jamie Lee Curtis for pointers.
"I just think, more than anything, it must be very strange to have somebody play your mother -- and especially someone as beloved and celebrated as Janet."
"And I just wanted to reach out -- and Jamie was lovely. She sent beautiful photographs and gave me some wonderful stories,? added Johansson.
Scarlett also talked about her experience filming the infamous shower scene from ?Psycho.? "You kind of make it your own, you sort of wing it ... I think when you have Tony Hopkins there, stabbing at you, with a completely frenzied, psychotic look on his face, you don't need that kind of music. It sort of puts you right there."

Clearly being quite the traveler as of late, Diane must have had just enough time to pack up another bag before heading out of the west coast again.

Sorry I missed all of this new information in my earlier post. If you want to read what we?ve already covered about this Gabriel Aubry-Halle Berry-Olivier Martinez story, go here. The latest news is that Gabriel filed for his own restraining order against Olivier, and Gabe is now claiming that Olivier attacked him and tried to kill him. Gabriel submitted photos to the court which show his badly beaten face, and his version of the events is in direct contradiction to Halle and Olivier?s side of the story (which they got out early ? suspiciously early). Here?s more info:
*We?ve known for a while that Halle had security cameras set up on her property, and that Team Gabriel really wanted those security tapes to see the light of day. According to Radar, Gabriel swears in his application for a restraining order that he ?repeatedly asked cops to secure security footage before it was destroyed? immediately following the fight with Olivier. Gabe says in his declaration: “I told the officers that [Martinez] was the one who attacked me, and repeatedly told them to get the security tapes from Ms. Berry’s security cameras before she and Mr. Martinez deleted them.?
*We previously heard that Olivier threatened Gabe repeatedly before and during the Thanksgiving fistfight, but Radar says that Olivier?s exact words (as Gabe remembers them) were: “We called the cops, [and when they arrive], you?re going to tell them that you?re the one who attacked me, or I?m going to kill you.” Does anyone else think that this whole attack might have been premeditated?
*Gabe will be family court today asking the judge to lift Halle?s protection order so that he can see Nahla. Gabe?s defense is that Olivier instigated the fight. Halle?s lawyers will be appearing during the hearing too, and Halle might show up herself.
*Yesterday, LAPD detectives arrived at Halle?s home to interview her and Olivier. We don?t know what was said.
*Radar has a hilariously obvious pro-Halle story up right now ? it?s all about how Halle the Martyr has resolved to ?give up? her acting career because of all of the horrible drama. A source says:
?Now that a court has ruled Halle can?t move to France permanently, she feels she?s left with no alternative but to quit her career. It may seem pretty dramatic, but Halle doesn?t know what else she can do to stop the tabloids writing about her. In the last few years, she has worked on only a handful of films, so she can dedicate most of her time to Nahla. She also thought that would make her less of a target for the paparazzi, but with all the drama going on in her personal life that hasn?t been the case. Halle thinks that Nahla?s upbringing has been far from ideal. Her picture is taken by photographers all over the world whenever she?s with her mom, and Halle would hate to think that Nahla may come to believe that?s a natural occurrence. But she made a life as an actress, an Oscar-winning one too, so it would be hard for her to just quit,? the source opines.

Leonard DiCaprio covers the December “Hollywood Mavericks” issue of Details magazine, and I’m pretty unimpressed with this cover. Surely, they could have come up with a better cover shot than Leo “intensely” staring towards the photographer, and the whole cover layout seems really cheap as well. Leo is wearing a Burberry Brit shirt but looks like one of the middle management guys from Office Space. Here’s the other photo released from Details so far, and it isn’t an improvement by any stretch.
For better or worse, Leo remains one of the hottest actors (from a career standpoint) in Hollywood. His latest starring vehicles, The Great Gatsby and Django Unchained (which comes out on Christmas Day), are in the chute, and he’s still filming Wolf of Wall Street, plus his IMDb profile shows 23 films in development. However, I have never understood the huge buzz surrounding this guy. Sure, he had a big “moment” following the floppy hair of Titanic, but Leo’s ultimately grown into the form of a grumpy chihuahua. No disrespect to chihuahuas. I don’t get why he’s such a “maverick” when, really, he’s a modelizer who just got lucky enough to fall into the “muse” category with Martin Scorsese. Like, Leo’s enduring career could be attributed to Bobby DeNiro going all soft. Anyway, here are some uneventful excerpts from the Details interview:
He’s very in demand: “This has been an exceptional situation. Filming three movies back to back to back, I don’t think I’ve ever done that. In a weird way. I realize these movies are about three different periods in American history, but all have a central character trying to hold on to the privileged life they’ve been given, by any means necessary.”
His Django Unchained character, Calvin Candie: “One of, if not the most, despicable, indulgent, radical characters I’ve ever read in my life. Writer-directors tend to be very precious about their material and their words, but Quentin’s [Tarantino] whole process is getting input from the actors and adding levels to their characters. A lot of the talks we had specifically about phrenology really took him to a completely different level.”
His career choices: “Of course it’s all risky….I mean, that’s the excitement of doing it, you know? I don’t know why I choose certain films. I just gravitate toward them and I don?t question that.”
On producing: “My whole thing has been to develop material outside the studio system for myself, and this expanded to funding material I won’t necessarily star in. I don’t need to wear the producer hat while making movies, but I love to have that collaboration.”

As much as it shames me to admit, I had to google “phrenology” to figure out what the hell Leo was talking about in reference to his character development process with QT. Apparently, it’s a pseudo-science (that I’ve heard of before but forgotten the term for) where the bumps on one’s head are believed to determine one’s personality. It sounds very freaky but makes sense in terms of Leo’s sadistic character. Yeah, I still don’t know if I want to watch this movie. I love the hell out of Tarantino and will probably catch Django on DVD, but Leo is probably the only thing that will keep me from watching it in theaters. I don’t have any hatred for the guy, but he’s just so bland even while acting campy.

Go ahead and yell at me. I love the way Kim Kardashian looks in these photos. I love her outfit and I love her styling. I?ve always wanted her to go with cleaner, simply, more classic pieces, and I?ve always wanted her to stop with the Croydon facelifts. So with her hair styled but loose, and with these wonderful slacks, I think she?s achieved it. Go ahead and scream!!! I DON?T CARE. I would wear the hell out of those slacks. Other sites are calling this a ?jumpsuit? but I really think these are separates. I think it?s a pair of pants and a sleeveless blouse. But whatever. I love it.
Two pieces of somewhat interesting Kim K. news: one, Kim is going to be spending her New Year?s in Las Vegas. Kim is getting PAID. HuffPo says that Kim is probably going to make an appearance at 1 OAK at the Mirage, and she?ll be paid $300,000 for her troubles. The second story is a sad one ? apparently, Kim and Kanye flew to Oklahoma after Thanksgiving so that Kanye could introduce Kim to his extended family, and he took her to his mother?s grave:

The Mercy rapper – who has been dating the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star for eight months – was spotted visiting his mother Donda West’s graveside in Oklahoma with his 32-year-old girlfriend on Friday.
A source close to the Kardashians confirmed to MailOnline that the trip took place, adding that after the vigil the couple visited other family members in the area. A source told gossip website RadarOnline.com: ‘Kanye brought Kim to Oklahoma City the day after Thanksgiving to pay respects to his mother and to meet his mother’s side of the family. This was her first time meeting them.’
The 35-year-old rapper’s mother died on November 10, 2007 of complications from cosmetic surgery at the age of 58. Another insider suggested the trip is proof the couple are heading towards marriage, saying: ‘This was a really monumental moment for Kanye because he adored his mother. He wouldn’t have brought Kim there unless he was completely in love with her.’
Kanye is rumoured to have given Kim a promise ring and wants to marry her as soon as her divorce from basketball player Kris Humphries is official. The couple celebrated Thanksgiving with Kim’s family on Thursday before flying to Oklahoma together.

From what I can find, there are no paparazzi photos of Kim and Kanye in Oklahoma, so if Kanye did take Kim to meet his family, she resisted the urge to famewhore for several days. Which is a genuinely good sign. I do think they?re for real? and I think that right now, Kanye wants to marry her. But let?s wait until her divorce comes through and see how long that takes, and whether or not Kanye is still around.

For many of their fans it seems like it?s taking forever for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to finally tie the knot.
However, according to the ?Fight Club? stud himself, it won?t be too long before he says ?I Do? to his blushing bride.
During an interview at the premiere of ?Killing Them Softly? in NYC, Pitt shared, "I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come."
Brad added, "The time is nigh. It's soon. I got a good feeling about it,? sparking speculation of a Winter wedding. He added, "We've had a family, we've raised the kids. I am surprised how much [marriage] meant to me once you had that."

It?s Brad Pitt Day! Of course. Brad attended his premiere of Killing Them Softly last night in NYC, and I believe he?s already heading back to England (for WWZ reshoots) right now. But he got a day for his press junket for the film, and he got to wear all-black for the premiere. Personally, I think Brad looks great here, and I?m not disappointed with the lack of Angelina Jolie. I wasn?t really expecting her to turn up, and I like it when Brad goes solo to his events, just because I know it will inspire Make-A-Controversy spin (?They?re breaking up! Angelina called off the wedding!?). As I said in the previous Pitt post earlier, Brad did a bunch of interviews yesterday, so there are tons of new quotes. Here?s a sampling:
Brad on the wedding plans: “I am getting more pressure from my kids, and it is something I want to do within their lifetime, but I also feel like the time has come? The time is nigh. It’s soon. I got a good feeling about it.”
Family first, then marriage: “We’ve had a family, we’ve raised the kids,” he says. “I am surprised how much [marriage] meant to me once you had that.”
But they still haven?t Saved the Date: “We really don’t ? I don’t know what’s going to happen in two weeks. I certainly don’t know what the new year is going to bring!”
More about the kids: “I will admit, we have had some pressure from our kids. We didn’t realize how much it means to them. We didn’t realize how much it means to us.”
Location, location, location: “We are both migratory workers,” he said of his bride-to-be, 37. “It will be a matter of convenience location-wise.”
Taking a break now that he?s turning 49 years old: “I think that’s coming pretty quickly. I’m going to be 49 in a month. I really enjoy producing and I enjoy this opportunity, but I’ll be less and less in front of the camera.”

Religion, gay marriage and drugs: “Equality, absolutely, that’s what defines us. It’s what makes us great. If it doesn’t sit well with your religion, let your God sort it out in the end, but that’s us. We’re equal….I do believe that we should be responsible for our own choices in talking about the drug laws, and that the drug war is an ultimate failure and that the billions and billions of dollars that we’ve committed to it, there’s got to be a better way. I don’t believe in incarceration over education ? don’t get me started. But there’s real damage to drugs; that is not the same as with gay marriage. Since the last round [of elections], they’ve been linked in every article. I find that curious.”

I?m also including the Extra video below too. I mean, is any of this extraordinarily newsworthy? Not really. This is pretty much what both Brad and Angelina were saying during Brad?s Oscar campaign earlier this year. I do think they?ll probably get married sooner rather than later, and I wouldn?t put it past them to do a holiday wedding either. I could totally see them having a quiet wedding in France a few days after Christmas. But what do I know?
