Looking like the princess that she is, Kate Middleton headed over to the Royal Academy of Arts where the Creative Industries Reception was held in London, England on Monday (July 30).
Sporting a huge smile, the Duchess of Cambridge arrived without her husband for the glitzy event wearing a dove grey dress designed by Roksanda Ilincic which she paired with grey suede heels and stunning Kiki McDonough earrings and pinned up her usual flowing locks.
Joined by the president of the Royal Academy, Christopher Lebrun, Kate seemed to enjoy the star-studded bash thrown by The Founders Forum to to promote industry in the UK as part of the British Government?s GREAT Campaign.
Earlier in the day, Kate enjoyed some primo seats at the Evening Cross Country Equestrian competition with Prince William as part of the 2012 London Olympic Games where she looked more casual in a white Team GB shirt paired with a navy blue blazer.

It?s an exciting time in the life of Elizabeth Berkley as she gave birth to her first child, a healthy baby boy, on Friday, July 20th.
The ?Saved By the Bell? babe and her husband of nine years Greg Lauren couldn?t be happier to be parents, and they?ve just released a statement to the press.
?The moment we both saw him it was love at first sight. We are over the moon and grateful to start this amazing adventure together as a family,? gushed Elizabeth and Greg.
Earlier this year, Berkley shared that she was gearing up for the ?role of a lifetime. I?m due this summer and there is a reason why they give you nine months to get ready! It does allow you to prepare.?

Making sure to properly caffeinate, Katie Holmes made her way to a coffeehouse in New York City earlier today (July 30).
The ?Teaching Mrs. Tingle? actress brought her beautiful daughter Suri along for the errand and the famous duo attracted plenty of attention along the way.
Perhaps it had something to do with their seriously Pink getups - Katie opted for a Pink flowered shirt and bell bottom jeans while Suri donned a Pink top and Pink skirt.
Mama Holmes has been keeping her little six-year-old busy this summer with trips to the Hamptons, Bronx Zoo, and plenty of gymnastics.

In response to the anger expressed by some fans after Madonna spent only 45 minutes performing during a special show at the Olympia with 10 of those minutes spent berating Marine Le Pen, she wrote on her website that the people who threw bottles at her on stage and yelled at her were just a few thugs pretending to be fans.
Playing the Olympia was a magical moment for me and it was real treat to do this special show for my fans and be so close to them. Unfortunately at the end of the show – after I left the stage – a few thugs who were not my fans rushed the stage and started throwing plastic bottles pretending to be angry fans. The press reports have focused on this and not the joyous aspect of the evening. But nothing can take away or ruin this very special evening for me and my fans. When I looked out in the audience, everyone I saw had a smile on their face. I look forward to having this wonderful experience again. Madonna

Revving up for his latest endorsement, George Clooney put his handsome looks on display while filming an advertisement for Mercedes-Benz in Sarnico, Italy on Monday (July 30).
Looking casual in a pocketed grey polo and jeans, the "Up in the Air" actor sported his aviator sunglasses as he walked around the set while at one point pausing to chat with crew members and give nearby shutterbugs a friendly wave.
This isn't the first time George has lent his clout to promote the luxury car. In 2011, the 51-year-old starred in a Chinese commercial for the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Long Wheel Base which was filmed in Beverly Hills, California.
Although it's pretty obvious Mr. Clooney enjoys sporty cars, he's willing to give up one of his rare whips for a good cause after announcing he will auction off his 2008 Tesla "Signature 100" Roadster to help fund relief work in Sudan.
According to Gooding and Co. the all-electric car has just 1,700 miles on it and is expected to bring in bids as high as $125,000 during the August 19th auction at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.
All proceeds will benefit the Satellite Sentinel Project, which is a non-profit organization that monitors the borders of Sudan using satellite technology with the hope of preventing another civil war between northern and southern Sudan.

Why is it so dead today? The Olympics? I guess so. And although I would love to analyze every little detail about the gymnastics qualifications (!!!) or the men?s relay getting silver (!!!), we don?t have a lot of those photos, nor do I have the necessary brainpower to really discuss anything athlete beyond, ?OMG, the judges should have scored higher? or ?STICK IT!!!? Thus, I?m covering these photos of Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied at LAX yesterday.
Benjamin, Natalie, baby Aleph and puppy Whiz made their way from NYC to LA yesterday, and it always fascinating who gets to hold what. I?m assuming Natalie is carrying her own bag (is that her carry-on?), and Natalie?s puppy Whiz is totally fine with paparazzi taking his photo while he?s out with his mom. Whiz totally looks like a really well-behaved puppy too. Especially when you consider the fact that he JUST got off of a long flight. My puppy would be peeing on a flight attendant.
Anyway, Benjamin got to carry their son Aleph. I like when I see a dude with one of those carrier things ? and Benjamin looks pretty collected as he deals with the paparazzi trying to take his son?s photos.
Which brings me to this other photo set from June, which I never got around to publishing ? Natalie, Benjamin and Aleph were photographed taking a walk with Natalie?s dad. The interesting thing is that you can really see Aleph?s face and hair in these photos and? this baby is totally a ginger, right? Is that weird? Is it weird that Aleph looks the dream baby I imagined for Adele and Prince Harry? Is it weird that Aleph doesn?t really look like either of his parents? He?s a really cute baby, but I?m just saying ? did Natalie secretly bone Michael Fassbender or something? There?s an epidemic of ginger babies with non-ginger ?parents? lately. Maybe Fassbender?s to blame. Maybe Prince Harry. Maybe Carrot Top. And YES, I know about the Darren Aronofsky paternity conspiracy – but Aronofsky isn’t a ginger, you know?

And it sounds like Natalie?s threat to sue Saif Ali Khan for claiming he?d signed her for his next production has put some fear into Khan?s mind- so much so that he?s apologized publicly. ?It was a joke, I am sorry. It?s just that I am very annoyed with speculations on all the aspects of my life."

We have some photos from the summer press tour for CBS, Showtime and The CW. Here’s a smattering of stars from those networks, in no particular order. Kaiser will be covering more of the fashion in a bit. First off is Rachel Bilson, and I’m headlining with her as I just watched the whole first season of Hart of Dixie and kind of loved it. It’s cheesy and it’s predictable, but the characters and the setting are so much fun. Rachel is actually great in it, and I’m looking forward to seeing how her character Zoe Hart solves her man dilemma come next season. I’ll have to wait a while, though, it doesn’t premiere until October, damnit!
As for Rachel’s outfit, I think she was going for quirky, but the tucked-up asymmetric hair and the dippy bow on that blouse just ruin it for me. Zoe Hart would never wear this outfit or those dumb pants with the flared pockets. Zoe would wear some dressy short shorts paired with a sexy t-shirt and some hot wedges.
Jaime King’s character on Hart of Dixie is usually styled straight out of the 50s. Jaime King the actress typically dresses much worse than this, so this navy brocade button down blouse and short skirt are surely fug, but not as bad as they could be. This outfit is Stella McCartney, of course. Her styling leaves a lot to be desired. King has one monotone shade of brown eyeshadow that she’s paired with bright red lips. I also dislike her shoes.
Speaking of bad styling, here we have AnnaLynne McCord looking like a corpse. She seems to have forgotten to wear mascara and she’s got way too much blush on. Look at that tin foil dress paired with black cage booties. This girl could do so much better.
I’m throwing in David Duchovny at the end here because he could still get it. I’ve never really watched Californication, though. I just got Showtime so I might watch some back episodes on demand. The sixth season premieres in 2013.

These are more photos from the CBS/CW/Showtime summer event last night in LA ? CB covered some of the photos a little while ago. CB and I were going through the huge photo block, commenting on all of the B and C-listers, surprised that no one really noteworthy came by, but still? we wanted to cover this stuff. At least this event wasn?t the parade of fug that was the Fox event. Anyway, let?s start with Kat Dennings. I like Kat. I think she?s beautiful and funny and completely wasted on that dumb CBS sitcom (Two Broke Girls). I also identify with her because I?m really, really top-heavy too. If I tried to wear this dress, it would be utter chaos ? so I have to give her credit for at least keeping her girls in place, I guess. Still, this isn?t a good look. This is like something Christina Hendricks would do, and I don?t mean that as a compliment. Kat?s got an eyeliner problem too ? it?s worse than Duchess Kate?s.
I really don?t get why Jessica Lowndes is a thing. Can someone explain it to me?
Emmy Rossum isn?t my favorite person, but she looks pretty good here.
I?m pretty sure Matt Leblanc is wearing a lady?s blouse. Also: GOOD GOD when did he get hot again?!? He looks really great here.
I liked Carrie-Anne Moss?s look from afar, but up-close? this is not cute. Hippie sack and bad shoes.
Lisa Kudrow looks great. I believe that she?s not tweaking too.
UGGGHHH. I cannot even tell you how much I am NOT looking forward to Elementary, ?the American take? on the Cumberbatch-version of Sherlock. Jonny Lee Miller is playing Sherlock.. in NYC. Lucy Liu is Watson. It looks awful.

I?ve actually been trying to lay off of Olivia Munn lately. She still annoys me, and I still think she?s dreadfully unfunny, but I have to give her some credit ? she has really great management. She?s hustled her way from failed TV show to box office bomb to relatively successful (or at least, much discussed) TV show (The Newsroom) to a small part in a box office success (Magic Mike). So? I have to actually give her some credit for staying power, and for not falling into the ?I?m going to just be known for taking off my clothes? route, and for actually? I don?t know, TRYING to be a legit actress. Still unfunny, still not very talented or anything. But she?s a hustler.
She?s also a plucker. But in the grossest, most neurotic way ever. Olivia has just admitted that she suffers from Trichotillomania ? compulsive eyelash-pulling. You know who else has that? Paula Deen.
Olivia Munn is known for being a smart and sexy beauty. Now the Magic Mike star has revealed she suffers from a bizarre anxiety disorder that causes her to pull out her eyelashes!
?I don?t bite my nails, but I rip out my eyelashes,? the actress who also stars in the new HBO hit, Newsroom, told The New York Daily News.
?It doesn?t hurt, but it?s really annoying. Every time I run out of the house, I have to stop and pick up a whole set of fake eyelashes.?
The condition, Trichotillomania, is classified as an impulse control disorder, and can cause those afflicted to pull out hair from any part of their body; eyebrows and eyelashes are the most common.
Her anxiety, Munn admitted, also impacts how she relates to people socially.
“I don?t want people to be mean to me,? she said. ?As an Air Force kid, I moved around a lot when I was younger and no one was nice to the new kid. So there is always this feeling that someone will make fun of me.?

I?m a bit of a compulsive eyebrow-plucker, but I attribute that to the fact that if I leave my eyebrows unattended, they will be ALL OVER my face. It?s beyond a unibrow. The eyelash thing is just? I feel bad for her. It seems like it?s a neurotic self-soothing thing, right? You feel a small little release when you yank out one of your eyelashes? Ugh. That must suck!

Claire Danes covers the September issue of British GQ to promote the second season of “Homeland,” and she looks absolutely stunning and skyscraper-esque on the front of the magazine. Claire is, of course, now pregnant with her first child with husband Hugh Dancy, and she talks about how hard it is to spend five months per year away from him while filming the show in North Carolina. She even signed a seven-year-contract for the show, so if it continues to be successful in the ratings, that away time is going to be an ongoing issue and quite a challenge when the baby arrives. I wonder how she and Hugh will juggle their newfound duties, but I suppose they’ll manage. People always do.
Anyway, Claire sounds utterly in love not only with her hot husband but also her “Homeland” character, Carrie Mathison, the bipolar, brilliant CIA agent embodied perfectly by Claire herself. Here are some excerpts from the GQ interview:
On her “Homeland” character, Carrie: “She’s like my kinky superhero alter ego now. Because as disturbed and troubled as she is, she?s always f&%#ing right. Which is so nice because I so rarely am. To be honest I never expected [the show] to get picked up so I wasn?t sure what it was going to be like, but it’s fun. It?s like, ‘Oh, there she is again!’ I like her a lot.”
Why she turned down Titanic: “I had just made a romantic epic with Leonardo — it just seemed redundant to me.”
On being a child actor: “The problem is that I always took myself too seriously. Now I realise I should have lightened up. I was a serious kid to an absurd degree. I was overwhelmed with responsibility, trying to play grown up. I overdid it. [My friend] was a PA on a movie I did when I was about 16 and she was horrified by how old I seemed. She was like, ‘You’re a grandma and you’re 16. You?re f#%*ing weird, stop it.’”
On working away from Hugh: “It sucks. Seven years, it?s a long-ass time. But every year I?m going to have something really compelling to do. I remember [the script for Homeland] came up on the weekend I had to read for the secretary role on J. Edgar and I was like, ‘Do I want to play the secretary to some compelling person — or do I just wanna play the compelling person?’”

To this day, I always think of Claire as Angela Chase from “My So-Called Life,” and it’s refreshing to see a relatively rare former child actor who didn’t descend into drugs and debauchery. Let that be a lesson to all the Lohans out there, right? As talented and down-to-earth as Claire seems, however, I’m glad she didn’t end up playing Rose in Titanic. She’s right that it would have been awkward to play another love interest to Leo immediately after Romeo + Juliet.

Here are some new-ish photos of Mila Kunis over the weekend (leaving a spin class) and photos from last week of Mila and Ashton Kutcher out together in LA. People are treating these Mila-and-Ashton photos like ?OMG, proof that they ARE together!!!? Um, really? There was photo evidence that they were together months ago. And we?ve had photos of them out to lunch together, making out, etc over the past two months too. So why are these photos a big deal? I?m not sure. For one, Mila was Ashton?s date at the wrap party for Jobs, the Steve Jobs bio-pic that Ashton just completed. I guess it?s a big deal because it?s an industry party, and because Ashton is usually so douchey, he wouldn?t let just some random hookup come to his wrap party. Thus, Mila and Ashton are NOT just hooking up, it?s LOVE. So, enough with the whole ?we?re just friends? nonsense, hopefully. They?ve been hooking up for a while now, and it?s not a shamef?k situation for either of them (although in Mila?s case, I think she should be ashamed).
Other news? some of British and American tabloids have been claiming that Mila and Ashton are pretty much living together already, although I?m not sure about that. I?m guessing they?re still in the ?spending the night at each other?s houses more often than not? phase. Did Ashton give Mila space in his closet? Probably not. But a source says, ?They?re basically living together. Like any new couple in love, they?re pretty much joined at the hip. They?ve been sneaking around for months but there?s only so long you can keep it quiet.?
There?s also a report that Ashton shelled out $5000 for a diamond-encrusted phone case for Mila. No word on whether the phone case was a gift for something particular, or if it was just a ?you?re my official lady? gift. Allegedly, the case ?features Pink crystals and a heart, inside which Mila?s initials are spelled out in red diamonds.? A source claims, ?He spent five thousand bucks on Mila’s case. Needless to say, she loved it.? Needless to say? I can think of much cooler things to spend $5000 on.
Kelso and Jackie? Kelso and Jackie? Kelso and Jackie. Was it always meant to be? Ugh. At least he opens the car door for her? I?m reaching, I know.

Ever since The Great Escape of Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise?s second wife, Nicole Kidman, has been keeping a much, much lower profile. Sources claimed that Nicole was pretty much ?in hiding? for weeks after Katie Holmes filed for divorce, and Nicole purposefully did NOT issue any kind of direct statements either way, in support of Tom or in support of Katie. Of course, some sources claimed that Nicole was definitely Team Holmes, and even offering Kate some support (via phone calls). Some other sources claimed that Nicole couldn?t publicly take sides against Tom, and that if she was forced to come out and say anything, she would have to support Tom ? because otherwise Isabella and Connor would be sent to Sea Org or something. Anyway, Tom and Katie settled everything very quickly and thus, Nicole did not have to take sides or issue any kind of statements. She still kept her head down? until now!
These are photos of Nicole over the weekend in London. She?s one of the faces of Omega, and she attended an Omega event, and then saw some of the Olympic events. For the Omega event, Nicole wore this navy blue Azzedine Alaia dress and Manolo Blahnik shoes. Some sites are claiming the dress is black, but I?m pretty sure it?s navy, right? Right. Alaia does a lot of narrow, close-cut dresses and gowns for tall Amazon women, so I?m kind of surprised to see this silhouette from the label, especially with the fuller skirt. It?s okay on Nicole ? I don?t know, though. I think it?s a bit cutesy for her, honestly. That skirt flounce screams ?Zooey Deschanel? to me.

The last time we heard from Jada Pinkett Smith, 40, she was claiming that she didn’t eat for pleasure. Jada said that when she was growing up her grandmother was an awful cook and taught her “that you don?t eat for taste, you eat for nourishment. And I have kept that over the years, so I can eat anything that?s healthy.” Judging from how fit she is, it looks like that philosophy has served Jada well. Jada tweeted the above bikini photo along with a message to her “forty and over crew” about getting better with age. Why couldn’t she have just gone the “loving life” route and let the bikini photo speak for itself? Is Jada turning into LeAnn Rimes and dishing out faux self help advice with her bikini pics now?
Jada Pinkett Smith gave her Twitter followers a treat on Saturday: the actress posted a sexy photo of herself emerging from the ocean, showing off her impressively toned, Bond Girl-esque physique.

So it’s empowering to other women to tweet bikini photos of yourself? It’s not just a narcissistic thing? Good to know. Demi Moore should have used this angle ages ago. Jada looks amazing, she just seems unoriginal, especially in HWood. Plus, if she really believes that we get better with age, why doesn’t she stop with the fillers, cheek implants or whatever she’s getting done at the dermatologist? Or why doesn’t she own up to it since the damage is already done? Don’t tell me her face is all natural. At least she doesn’t have a fake rack, I’ll give her that. She does look hot and clearly works hard for it.
Now that I’m thinking of Demi, I’m reminded that she was tweeting bikini pics right before her breakup with Ashton Kutcher. Are Jada and Will about to make an announcement, or are they hanging in there?
