Michael Bay is on top of the world. As the director of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Bay is getting a lot of the credit for the film?s $201 million five-day opening. It?s the second most profitable five-day opening in the history of films, second only to The Dark Knight. Bay has always reminded me of a cheesier, more commercial version of Titanic director James Cameron - they both seem to have the same kind of hubris, the same genius for silly popcorn films, and both are known for technical and special effects extravaganzas. Both Bay and Cameron are also consistently criticized for the bad acting in their films too. So when Megan Fox, star of the two Transformers films, recently took a swipe at her director, people noticed, but it wasn?t even one of the dumbest things the girl said in the same interview, much less over the course of this whole media tour.
It was Megan?s Entertainment Weekly cover interview that started it. EW asked ?What percentage of your range have people seen so far?? Megan replies: ?Seven percent. On the new one ['Transformers 2'], I tried. But unless you’re a seasoned veteran, working with Michael Bay is not about an acting experience.? (emphasis mine) In the same interview, Megan also bitched about a possible third Transformers film, giving a weak assurance and then said: ?Sure. I mean, I can’t sh-t on this movie because it did give me a career and open all these doors for me. But I don’t want to blow smoke up people’s ass. People are well aware that this is not a movie about acting. And once you realize that, it becomes almost fun because you can be in the moment and go, ‘All right, I know that when he calls Action! I’m either going to be running or screaming, or both.?? The one thing I?ll never understand about actors - when they start complaining about the films they?ve made, I always think ?Did someone have a gun to your head, forcing you to make it?? If you can?t respect your own work, how will other people respect it?
It?s no secret that Megan is dumb. But those kinds of comments are just unprofessional, and there?s a good chance her career will suffer if she continues to act like this. Meanwhile, Michael Bay sounds kind of pissed that his starlet is so consistently unprofessional, immature, and dumb. When the Wall Street Journal asked Bay about Megan?s comments, he slammed back pretty hard:
WSJ: What?s next for you, then?
Bay: I?ve been talking to some big actors right now about something that is totally different. A small dark comedy, a true story, with actors just acting, no effects. I?m done with effects movies for now. When you do a movie like ?Transformers,? it can feel like you?re doing three movies at once?which is tiring.
WSJ: It?s interesting that you want to focus on acting. Megan Fox, one of the leads in ?Transformers? has criticized your films for being special-effects-driven and not offering so many acting opportunities. Do you agree?
Bay: Well, that?s Megan Fox for you. She says some very ridiculous things because she?s 23 years old and she still has a lot of growing to do. You roll your eyes when you see statements like that and think, ?Okay Megan, you can do whatever you want. I got it.? But I 100% disagree with her. Nick Cage wasn?t a big actor when I cast him, nor was Ben Affleck before I put him in ?Armageddon.? Shia Labeouf wasn?t a big movie star before he did ?Transformers??and then he exploded. Not to mention Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, from ?Bad Boys.? Nobody in the world knew about Megan Fox until I found her and put her in ?Transformers.? I like to think that I?ve had some luck in building actors? careers with my films.

Personally, I think the guy?s just playing the serial first-dater because he?s got something or someone in his personal life that he doesn?t want to make public. But maybe that?s just me - I am a conspiratorial bitch. The Enquirer?s take on the whole situation? well, I don?t really believe their story, but it still made me laugh out loud. Wait ’till you get to the part about Jennifer?s ?relationship timeline?.
Jen’s new relationship pffft before it even starts! It’s back to zero minus one in the dating game for Jennifer Aniston.
After she gave Bradley Cooper her “relationship timeline” speech over an intimate dinner, the Hangover hunk slammed the brakes on their budding romance, sources say.
“Jen is devastated,” divulged a longtime friend. “She had high hopes that Bradley was the Mr. Right she’s been searching for.
“But he called Jen a few days after their big date and broke the news that he wanted to keep things casual and loose. Jen was mortified, but reluctantly agreed to save face.”
The 40-year-old actress and Bradley, 34, had been flirting ever since they shared a dinner date at his Brentwood, Calif., home while they filmed the romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You in 2007.
Still, Coop publicly blasted rumors he was dating Jen as “hilarious.” Despite that, the couple sat down for a headline-making date at New York’s Il Cantinori restaurant in New York City on June 18.
“Jen gave Bradley her ‘relationship timeline’ speech over dinner, about how she wants to be pregnant within the year and for marriage to follow soon after,” explained the friend.
That was a deal breaker for the actor, whose 11-month marriage to actress Jennifer Esposito collapsed in 2007.
“He called Jen after he returned to L.A. a few days later, and told her flat out that he thought it best that they go back to being friends. Bradley said he’s not looking for any type of commitment.”
The next day, “Jen was withdrawn. She’d been up crying to her girlfriends about how she feels her love life is doomed,” the insider revealed.

Mishca Barton was thrown out of the ladies’ room when she tried to bring her girlfriend Bridget inside at Whisky Mist in Mayfair. Apparently the rule is only one person at a time. Fascists. The Daily Mail says Mischa “looked really pissed off and embarrassed but her friend was fine about it.” She ended going in anyway.
Mischa ended up going into the stall alone and stayed in there for a long time. She probably sneezed on her line and had to suck it up off the floor.
She apparently took so long that the attendant was forced to check if she was feeling okay.
An onlooker said: ‘She took so long to emerge that everyone was worried about her.
‘At one point the toilet attendant had to knock on her door twice to ask if she was alright. Then her mate was knocking to check she was feeling okay.’
The source added: ‘When she came out of the cubicle, she was complaining about people knocking on the door. She looked slightly worse for wear as she attempted to apply her make-up.’
Maybe it wasn’t drugs. Maybe she had to take a massive dump. I had the same thing going on in Tiajuana. Except, over there in the clubs they only let you use the stall to vomit. Needless to say, my toilet looked like a crime scene when I got home, but instead of blood lining the sides, it was poop.

On Wednesday night's "So You Think You Can Dance" — in between the competition's first-ever ballet performance and its first actually entertaining quickstep — executive producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe came clean about a rumor that's been circulating for weeks: Katie Holmes is, in fact, going to be on the show. More important, he explained why: She is one of the founding members of the brand-new Dizzy Feet Foundation.
Holmes, Lythgoe, director/choreographer Adam Shankman and "Dancing With the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba teamed up to create the foundation, which seeks to provide dance scholarships to underserved and at-risk youth, as well as to create an accreditation program for dance schools nationwide.
To celebrate the new foundation, Holmes will take the "SYTYCD" stage on July 23 (the show's 100th episode) and perform a song-and-dance homage to Judy Garland, choreographed by her friend and "SYTYCD" regular Tyce Diorio. Holmes' only previous televised dance performance was on an episode of "Eli Stone," but she told host Cat Deeley that she's excited to appear on the show.
"I like to sing and dance, so this has been really fun," Holmes said. "I think it's important to let kids experience music and dancing and singing and the arts and also sports. This is the next generation, and I think it's important to give them every opportunity to grow and discover what it is that they like."
Former "American Idol" executive producer Lythgoe said his rewarding experience with "Idol Gives Back" inspired him to create another charity. "I have been a dancer, and involved in the dance world, for nearly 50 years — it's my passion," he said. "I feel very grateful to be in a position where I can now give back to the dance community."
Dizzy Feet already has the support of some other famous dancers: Paula Abdul, Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus are on the foundation's steering committee, along with "SYTYCD" choreographers Mia Michaels, Mary Murphy, Debbie Allen, Shane Sparks and Lil C.

Hilary Duff has signed on for a multi-episode arc on Gossip Girl, according to EW.com.
Duff will play a character named Olivia Burke, a movie star who attends New York University in search of a traditional college experience. Blair (Leighton Meester), Dan (Penn Badgley) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) were also accepted to NYU, and Duff winds up becoming Vanessa's roommate in the third season of the show, which debuts this fall.
Duff told
In December that she had become a fan of Gossip Girl, and her favorite character was Chuck Bass. "I don't know why, because he's so bad and terrible," Duff said. "He is so sad that I feel bad for him," she admitted.
According to E! News, newly single Dan, who broke off his relationship with Serena last season, is looking to find love with Olivia and doesn't even know she's famous. Dan, according to E!'s sources, is looking to get serious with Duff's character.
At the time, Duff was developing her own pilot for NBC called "Barely Legal." She told E! News, "It's exciting. I've been meeting with writers. I'm ready to get back on TV." Producers eventually passed on "Barely Legal," but producers for "Gossip Girl" soon found a spot for the Disney teen queen on the show. She makes her debut in the fourth episode of the season, scheduled to air on October 5.
