As we heard yesterday, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson called off their engagement after a whirlwind romance of less than six months. Most of us believed they wouldnt last as they burned so hot and fast, but it seemed mutual as least. As I mentioned yesterday I didnt expect them to go the distance, but I was still surprised that they broke up so soon. Arianas ex, Mac Miller, passed away from an accidental overdose last month, which reportedly led her to reevaluate her relationship with Pete. Although US weekly claimed that Pete and Ariana had just broken off their engagement and werent necessarily done with each other, that may not be the case. TMZ is reporting that Ariana has returned the $100k engagement ring Pete gave her after they were only seeing each other a month.
Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have called it quits, and that usually means dividing up the pots and pans, or in their case a super expensive engagement ring and a pet pig.
Sources close to Ariana tell us shes already returned the nearly $100k engagement ring Davidson gave her back in June. The ring a 3.03 carat diamond set in platinum was a one of a kind, made specifically for Grande, and took weeks to complete. Were told there was no struggle over whod keep the ring. He bought it in contemplation of marriage, and she was quick to fork it over.
Piggy Smallz the couples teacup pig they adopted last month became a signature of their relationship in fact, Davidson got a tattoo of Smallz on his torso shortly after she became part of their family.
Heres the thing. Ariana bought the pig and it was really hers from the get-go, so shes keeping it again, no fight over the porker.

As TMZ noted, the pig was always Arianas. Pete has said that getting the pig was her idea and that she was able to get it right away because shes so connected. Now that shes given the ring back I wonder if hell get some of the money back from the jeweler or if hell trade it in for his next girlfriend.
There are a lot of insider quotes about the end of their relationship, which was reportedly Arianas decision, and where they go from here. I believe these quotes are all from Arianas people because Pete probably doesnt have a PR team. Some are very favorable toward his side though. Im including quotes from three outlets below. Whats notable is that Ariana is the one who left their expensive apartment, according to E!, even though she was the one who was paying for it. Maybe thats because she was the dumper and felt guilty.
Pete has really been there for Ariana, the source says, and she will always have a special place in her heart for him, but told him that right now is not the best time.
She has been struggling emotionally and is not in a situation where she should plan a wedding, another source tells E! News. She had to take a step back and just breathe for a minute. Shes been completely overwhelmed and wants to slow down.
Grande is truly hurting from the death of Mac and feels very overwhelmed with her life right now, the first source tells E! News. Ariana hasnt given herself enough time for the grieving and healing process, and feels like her emotions are out of control.
Shes truly devastated, the source adds. Shes been battling her feelings and knows that she needs to take time for herself right now.
Neither of them know whats going to happen in the future. She just felt she had to slow it down.
Were told that shes been staying elsewhere since the breakup and the fate of the apartment hasnt been decided yet. From E!
?Ariana made the final decision, a source has since told ET. It was time to realize this wasn?t the right time for them and Pete is incredibly heartbroken. Pete is still so in love with her. He wanted his whole world to revolve around her but she was emotionally unavailable. He realizes she was at her limit with pressure from everyone and everything around her. There were days she just wanted to run away from the world just to get some peace and quiet and peace of mind. Pete had to give her that space out of love.
?They have not stopped talking since they made the decision to split and in fact, they plan on trying to stay close friends or maybe one day even more than that, the source added. ?They are remaining positive and looking forward to a future together where they may be best friends and still haven?t ruled out the possibility of one day making their relationship work. People also reports that these two were close to finalizing a prenup, which is smart of Ariana. Maybe going through the legalities helped her realize that she should take a step back. I hope this is final though and that she takes time to herself and doesnt get back with Pete.

I?m not really sure when it?s the ?right time? to start dating after a divorce, probably because everybody heals and moves on at a different pace. In the case of Channing Tatum, 38, and his ex, Jenna Dewan, 37, hitting the six-month mark was the ticket. Six months after the two made the announcement of their split, Channing has been seen in the company of singer Jessie J.
Channing and Jessie J. were spotted together last weekend during a visit to Seattle. A source observed them eating lunch at local restaurant Henry?s Tavern. They told Entertainment Tonight that they seemed friendly with each other as they dined with a group of people and that [Channing] had his arm around her chair but they werent all over each other. They were very low-key.
As for Jenna?s reaction to the news, it was equally as low key. Considering that a month after her split she told Vegas magazine that she was friends with Channing no matter what, it seems she?s sticking to that sentiment. A source told E! News that, ?Jenna knew that Channing was dating and it wasnt a surprise. A friend had told her what was going on. Jenna ?doesnt really care what Channing does as long as hes being there for [their daughter] Everly. Jennas dating too and they are both moving on with their lives.
The couple are definitely devoted to their five-year-old child and, according to another ET report, They are both trying their very best to give each other the space they both need to move forward in life.? ET?s source said ?They want their relationship to stay healthy for their daughter Everly. They both plan to make her their very first priority.
As for Jenna, she?s also started to dip her toes into the dating pool. Last month a source told People that the actress, who is in Atlanta working on the FOX drama The Resident, ?has been on a few dates but doesn?t talk about a boyfriend.? The source went on to say ?Jenna is busy working and going back and forth between L.A. and Atlanta,? and that ?She?s in a really great place.?
While divorce is never without its share of pain, it?s good to see that these two are moving on and that they are doing what they can to make sure their daughter is their priority. We?ve seen former celebrity couples excel as parents and I have high hopes for these two.

For some reason, there?s always some spirited debate whenever I note how quickly some celebrities get engaged and/or married. For whatever record, if you?re over the age of, say, 26-27 and you meet someone and fall in love and get engaged and get married all within a six-month time period, so be it and God bless. I wish you well, even if I also sort of think ?damn, what?s the rush?? To that, people always counter ?when you know, you know.? So be it. But how about this for a test case: a thrice-divorced woman, aged 51, meets a man, dates him for 10 days and then marries him. Is that too fast for you? Here?s the kicker: the woman in question is Stacey Dash.
Stacey Dash reportedly secretly married. According to Page Six, the Clueless star tied the knot with lawyer Jeffrey Marty in Florida on April 6, just days after she withdrew from her campaign to run for Congress as a Republican in California?s 44th District.
The wedding reportedly happened just 10 days after the couple first met. Dash?s manager Kerry Jones told Page Six they ?wanted it on the D.L. [down low],? but couldn?t answer how or when they met or why the wedding was so secret.
PEOPLE has reached out to Jones for further comment. Marty is best known as the creator of a Twitter account for fake politician Rep. Steven Smith of Georgia, who was the first ?congressman? to endorse Donald Trump and has been a vocal advocate for the president on Twitter. According to a 2016 BuzzFeed News profile, Marty shares three kids with his ex-wife, who lives close to his home outside of Tampa, Florida.

Why? How? The answer is probably: because Stacey Dash is an idiot. Three divorces under her belt and she?s still running off and marrying a dude she?s only dated for LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. The guy she married sounds like some smarmy political operative in the vein of Tricky Dick?s waterbuggers too. This whole thing is gross.
