A Wrinkle In Time premiered Monday night in LA and it turned into a huge A-list event with the creme de la creme of black Hollywood. Ava DuVernay directed AWIT for Disney, becoming the first African-American woman to helm a film with a $100 million-plus budget. God, I hope this movie makes money. I was concerned about Black Panther?s box office but I felt like even if BP had a disappointing box office, it wouldn?t ?flop.? I?m genuinely concerned that AWIT might flop. Fingers crossed that doesn?t happen – Ava has the Disney machinery behind her, so I?m cautiously optimistic. Anyway, here are some fashion photos from the premiere, and I?m mostly concentrating on the people who are actually IN the film (but not exclusively). Reese Witherspoon wore Michael Kors, and her daughter was her date. I love the color of this Kors gown but? the design sucks, right?
OPRAH! This ensemble isn?t that flattering, but I love her glasses.
Mindy Kaling in Greta Constantine. God, she looks amazing! She just gave birth to daughter Katherine a few months ago!

Gugu Mbatha-Raw in Vionnet. She is just a beautiful woman, but the dress looks like repurposed old flags sewn together.
Tessa Thompson in Miu Miu? I get the feeling that Tessa?s personal style is sort of offbeat rather than It-Girl-fashion. I don?t like this, but I don?t hate it either.
Janelle Mone in Wolk Morais. I love her. She can do no wrong.

Stacey Dash is a well-known moron. She became famous as Dionne in Clueless, and starred in various TV shows and made-for-TV-movies in her heyday. At some point, I guess the work stopped coming in, because Dash went all-in with The Sunken Place. She started working as a contributor to Fox News, where they would use her as some kind spokesperson for ?black issues,? only she would just parrot the Fox News talking points, however nonsensical. She got fired from Fox News a few days after Donald Trump?s inauguration, because her job was truly done, and Fox News didn?t even have to pretend to care about ?black issues? anymore. Anyway, Dash is still a Republican. And now she?s going to run for Congress as a Republican.
As if her time as a Fox News contributor and political pundit didn?t give her a big enough platform, Stacey Dash is now eyeing a bigger role: U.S. Representative. The Clueless star filed papers for a U.S. Congressional run with the Federal Election Commission on Monday announcing the formation of a principal campaign committee under the name ?Dash to DC.? Stacey Dash is listed as the candidate, running as a Republican for a seat in the House of Representatives representing California?s 44th district.
The 44th district is in the South Los Angeles and Los Angeles Harbor areas and includes the cities of Carson, Compton, San Pedro, and Wilmington. The news comes after Dash?s Feb. 9 tweet asking her followers what they thought of her running for political office, as she ?mulled the possibilities.? She continued to feed speculation as she tweeted ?Things are taking shape? on Feb. 22, and ?Soon? the next day.
Dash and her representatives did not immediately reply to EW?s requests for comment.

The 44th is solidly Democratic. Most of the elections in the 44th are just Democrats running against other Democrats, and Hillary Clinton won the district by a massive margin. Granted, the turnout for midterm elections are never as high as they are for presidential years, so I doubt Dash?s Democratic opponent – sitting congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragn – will have the exact same numbers as the 2016 election. That being said, I feel sorry for Congresswoman Barragan. I looked up her Wiki – she?s a lawyer who has worked in law, government, public policy and civil rights for most of her adult life. And now her opponent is a has-been actress who was too stupid/crazy for Fox News.

Just know that we?re probably going to have one million Jennifer Lawrence stories this week. Few people can do promotional tour properly at this point, and by that I mean? few people can generate new headlines every day, multiple times a day, with new photos, for like three weeks straight during a promotional tour. J-Law can. It?s a rare gift. These are photos of Jennifer at last night?s Red Sparrow premiere in New York. She wore Dior, obviously. And I dislike it. I dislike the dress, and I especially dislike the styling. Since she plays a ballerina-turned-spy/honey-trap, I think Jen was aiming for a ballerina-inspired look. But she just looks uncomfortable, and oddly like she?s sucking in her cheeks and she?s pissed off about it.
Meanwhile, there are a million new quotes and interviews with Jennifer. Here are some quotes from her interview with Marc Maron?s WTF podcast:
When she fell for Darren Aronofsky. “He flew in, pitched me, left. The whole thing was probably an hour and a half, and then I was like, he’s hot. I remember I was holding my dog and I shut the door and when the door shut I went, ?Pippi that’s called sexual tension.’ He played hard to get for like nine months, maybe longer, which just killed me.”
How long her thing with Aronofsky lasted: “I mean, if we count everything, like two years. I had been saying two years for so long and he was like, ?It’s been like, six months!’ I think two years. I mean, I was in love with him for like, two years?. I still love him very much.”
She?s still friendly with her exes: “I’m friends with all my exes, actually. For the most part, yeah. I have a theory. I think it’s because I’m blunt. She never had an affair with Chris Pratt: “I never had an affair with Chris Pratt on Passengers. That’s a good one? I mean, they got a divorce like two years later and everybody was like, [shouting] ‘Jennifer Lawrence!’ And I was like, ‘What the…what, I’m in Montreal two years later.’”

I think of all Jennifer?s boyfriends/exes, Hoult was the best across the board. He was the best boyfriend for her and the best ex, as in they?re still friendly and they still like each other a lot. And I don?t think she?s attracted to good people? I actually think she?s got a bad picker when it comes to men across the board, not just for dating, but for coworkers and what she?ll put up with from directors and such.
