Looking to maintain her flawless figure, Nicole Richie showed up at a fitness center in Studio City, California yesterday afternoon (December 20).
The ?Simple Life? starlet/fashion designer was no fan of being photographed and shielded her face from the shutterbugs as she scurried to her car.
And while much of her life has transitioned to accommodate her role as a mom, Nicole isn?t willing to give up her clothing obsession.
She confessed, ?I wear all the same [types of] things I wore [before motherhood]. I?ll always stay true to me.?
Richie also noted that this winter she has a few go-to ideas for what to wear. ?I love a great statement pullover sweater. Just a crewneck statement sweater paired with jeans or a knee-length skirt. I?m a big fan of Balenciaga and Alexander Wang. I stick to what works.?
?I get up at 5:30 in the morning and I don?t really stop for anything until about 7 or 8 at night. I?m going all day so it?s important for me, for my lifestyle, to kind of just be comfortable and not really think about what I?m wearing. I?ve always been one to dress for comfort.?

Here are photos of Katie Holmes yesterday outside the Ed Sullivan theater ahead of an episode of “Late Night with David Letterman.” It must have been really creepy to have to sit in the exact same seat as Tom just a few days ago when Letterman dropped his F-bomb. Like, I bet she could pick up his advanced, OT Level VIII scent in the chair. Maybe Dave swapped out chairs in advance for her. I’d hate to put my butt where Tom’s lift-wearing butt has been, and I haven’t even slept with the guy.
Look at what Katie’s wearing! She looks fantastic in this body-hugging, hot Pink dress, doesn’t she? Nice coat too. Katie is definitely not sleeping with Tom now, and she might even be dating again, according to an eyewitness report from the NY Daily News:
Katie Holmes may have dived into the New York City dating pool. The Dead Accounts actress and mom to 6-year-old daughter Suri was spotted with a handsome guy who walked her inside her Chelsea building late Saturday night and lingered while they said an extended goodbye.
“They were saying a long, long goodnight, talking and looking pretty romantic in the lobby around 2 a.m.,” an eyewitness tells Confidenti@l?s Marianne Garvey. “He looked like a finance type, was wearing classic Cole Haan shoes and a navy pea coat. He walked her to the elevator and then she said ‘good night’ and smiled.”
Our spy also says Holmes, who turned 34 on Tuesday, looked “gorgeous,” dressed simply in a white Burberry trench with jeans and flats and was leaning against the wall “twirling her hair with one leg up. She was very pretty and very flirty.”

I hope this story is true, and Katie had a certain glow to herself last night. Girl is working it.
Here’s a clip from last night’s Letterman episode. It’s not really noteworthy (Katie talks about forgetting part of her speech for Dead Accounts) except to see a full view of the dress. Also, the difference between this and her 2008 Letterman appearance is pretty signficant. Bye bye, Katebot.
This week’s tabloids are all worked up about whether Suri will spend Christmas with Tom or Katie. As we’ve already heard, Tom claims that all of his kids will be with him for the holidays. However, he allegedly spent Thanksgiving with Suri, so it must be Katie’s turn for Christmas. Of course, we just covered this week’s Star story that says Katie and Tom were doing it while he was visiting NYC to promote Jack Reacher, and the full story has even grosser (totally made-up) details about how “Katie’s physical passion for Tom never subsided,” and they’re going to spend Christmas together as a cohesive family unit in Telluride. Whatever.
Unfortunately, Katie changed outfits after the taping of “The Late Show,” and I really don’t know why she was wearing this. She kind of lost me here.

Back in their home country, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman showed up at the big Sydney, Australia premiere of their brand new flick ?Les Miserables? today (December 21).
The ?Gladiator? hunk and the ?X Men? star had a blast as they clowned around outside the State Theatre, gearing up for a sprint in their classic black tuxedos.
Hugh and Russell also showed some love to their director Tom Hooper before heading into the venue to have a look at their own on-screen handiwork.
?Les Miserables? has already received rave reviews the world over, and will hit theaters here in the States on Christmas Day.

The ?All I Want For Christmas is You? songstress was more than happy to throw down a few poses for the shutterbugs as she made her exit, sporting a pair of stylish sunglasses and a new pair of earrings from her mom.
Mariah has been spending her Christmases in Aspen for years, as she loves the snowy weather and gorgeous scenery offered by the mountain town.

In addition to this ^^ being my new favorite photo of Kim Kardashian, it seems this pic is now ?PROOF!? of Kim?s new pregnancy, at least according to the Enquirer. Now, the Enquirer (and other tabloids) have run ?Kim is preggo with Kanye?s baby? stories before, but I just enjoyed this one so much more for a handful of reasons. One, the evidence is Kim?s ?size 4? gut spilling out of a too-tight leather monstrosity of a skirt. Two, Kim is totally prepared for a baby now that she killed her poor little 4-month-old kitten. Three, Kanye is being told by his management team that Kim?s ass is bad for business. So why NOT lock this thing up with a baby?!
Kim Kardashian got the gift of a lifetime ? she?s pregnant, say sources. Kim was photographed shopping in Miami on Dec. 12 in a tight skirt with a bare midriff that exposed her bulging tummy ? and now friends say Kim is in the early stages of her surprise pregnancy.
?Despite all of her talk about exercising harder and eating healthier, it?s obvious that Kim has gained at least 10 pounds in the past few weeks, and it all seems to be around her midsection,? divulged a close friend. ?Plus, she?s given up alcohol completely. And she confessed to pals that she and Kanye are shopping for a family-friendly home in LA together. When a close friend asked Kim point-blank in mid-December if she was pregnant, she slyly responded, ?That would be the best Christmas present ever!??
Kim and Kanye fell in love with parenthood after giving it a test run by hanging around and taking care of Kourtney?s two children, Mason and Penelope, according to the source, who added: ?Kim made it clear a few months ago that she was opting to undergo fertility treatments, and now they appear to have been successful.?
But Kim apparently plans to keep the baby news under wraps until she?s out of her first trimester.
?Kim and Kanye are overjoyed, as is Kim?s family? she?s wanted to be a mom for years ? and now that wish is finally coming true.?

I think Kim might talk a good game about ?wanting a baby? but really, she couldn?t care less. Babies are as disposable to her as fluffy white kittens, which is to say they can both be handed off to someone else once all of the photo-ops are over. But I could see Kim making the noble sacrifice of getting knocked up if it meant that Kanye would stick around for another few years. Don?t you see how the timing is perfect?

I wonder why Sharon Stone has never gotten a neck lift to go with her exquisitely done facial work? Anyway, that?s not the point of this post, I was only talking about neck lifts because this is the first time I?ve really looked at these photos from earlier this month. Sharon was on the NYC set of her new movie, Fading Gigolo. The real point of this story is that Sharon Stone is crazy and she?s always been crazy and why would she even feel the need to tone down her crazy when she?s taking a tour of a ritzy, exclusive school for her son? Of course Sharon shouted out nonsensical questions and turned a 30-minute tour into a grueling 90-minute tour de force of insanity.
What?s worse than a bratty, know-it-all kid? A parent who?s the same way! Sharon Stone, who for years lied about having a high IQ, is still desperate to paint herself as smarter than everyone else. According to a mother at the prestigious Buckley School in LA, Sharon recently drove a tour the other parents crazy with her commentary during a tour of the school.
?All the parents thought she was stark, raving mad,? the mom tells Star. ?What was meant to be a 30-minute tour turned into 90 minutes, because Sharon asked the school tour guide hundreds of questions. Everyone was rolling their eyes.?
Sharon, whose 12-year-old son Roan, is a prospective student, was pressing the school guide with irrelevant queries. ?She loudly blurted out all these questions that had absolutely no point, such as ?Why does the school start so early?? And ?Why do you offer those classes? Can I add a class?? She acted like she wanted to change the entire school around.?

This is kind of a heart-warming story of a lone sober, responsible person, picking up the slack in Charlie Sheen’s mess of a life. So Charlie’s last ex wife, Brooke Mueller, entered rehab for the 19th time (literally, I’m not exaggerating) a couple of weeks ago after failing a court-ordered drug test and violating probation. Brooke is facing jail time, but that didn’t make her 19th stay in rehab stick at all. She left rehab after less than a week, using the excuse that she only needed to “detox.” I haven’t been following the updates on TMZ about this, but a quick look reveals that Brooke, 35, was under investigation by Child and Family Services while she was in rehab/detox (she has three and a half year-old twin sons, Bob and Max, with Charlie) and that the boys went to Charlie’s other ex, Denise Richards, to stay. Then Brooke tried to take the boys back, which she can legally do because she has custody still, and had them stay with another relative until she was done with rehab. She decided to do this after a beef with Denise over the fact that Denise wanted to let the boys see their dad, Charlie. Are you eyes glazing over yet? There’s more in this story on TMZ if you’re interested in the stupid details. Addicts are so logical and so concerned about their children’s welfare.
Anyway, again here’s Denise Richards, providing some semblance of normalcy in the lives of sweet, innocent little boys who are used to be cared for by prostitutes and an addict mom. (Not that prostitutes can’t be decent caregivers, especially when compared to Brooke.) Denise told Access Hollywood that the boys can stay with her and her three girls anytime, and that they’re family. The bad news is that they’re back with Brooke now that she’s out of rehab.
The beauty stopped by Access Hollywood Live on Wednesday, where she chatted about her work with ShoeDazzle ? which is benefitting the Kidney Cancer Association ? and she also spoke about helping Charlie and Brooke care for their 3-year-old twin sons, Bob and Max, while Brooke was reportedly in rehab.
?[The twins] are back with Brooke Mueller,? Denise told Billy Bush and guest co-host Vinny Guadagnino.
With the twins ? plus her daughters Sam, 8, Lola, 7 and Eloise, 18 months, Denise had her hands full.
?This is not the first time I?ve had all five, they?re Sam and Lola?s brothers. It was a full house, lots of love and life,? she explained. ?Brooke knows anytime, and Charlie, that any time they need help with the boys, that I?m there.?
Despite divorces and past problems, the actress stressed that they put their family first.
?They?re our family and they?re Sam and Lola?s brothers and I can?t imagine growing up without my sister, so anytime she needs help, I?m there for the boys,? she continued. ?[Sam and Lola] are the best big sisters to [the boys] and they love them.?
Adding, ?I know it doesn?t seem normal, but it is our normal. They?re little kids and I love children, and like I said, it?s our daughter?s brothers, so I can?t say no.?

I’ve heard some horror stories about California CFS and I’ve leave it at that. So don’t expect Brooke Mueller to lose custody anytime soon, despite the fact that she’s failing drug tests and is so obviously wasted out of her mind. At least Denise Richards is there to help when needed, but how confusing must it be for those little boys to have to be shuffled around like that? I just feel for them. It’s possible that Brooke will get some jail time and that Max and Bob will have to go live with Denise for a while, but again this is California. That’s not going to happen.

This is just another ?Charlie Theron looks so righteous nowadays? post. Because you guys liked last Sunday?s post so much! These are new pics of Charlie in West Hollywood yesterday. Her hair is obviously still buzzed, and it?s still coming in WAY darker than I would have thought. Not just dark, but partly grey on the sides. Charlize has been doing the buzz thing for the last half of the year ? she chopped everything off for Mad Max: Fury Road, and now she?s back in LA after filming for months in Africa. I?m still so happy that Charlize isn?t covering her buzzcut with a wig, wiglet, weave or extensions. Although I think it would be cute if she mixed it up a do-rag.
Can we talk about Charlize?s ensemble? Sigh? I love her sweater. I used to be big into chunky knits and turtleneck sweaters, but at some point I got to a place where I no longer wanted to wear turtlenecks. Partly because I began to feel like I was being strangled, and partly because? I can?t really pull them off. I think Jessica Simpson was right about one thing ? big-busted girls can?t wear high-necked stuff, it throws off our proportions. But on Charlize?s willowy body, the t-neck works. And I?m jelly. Now, I still don?t know about Charlize?s Capris. I?m not into them, but they kind of work on her body.
From the whole outfit, though, my favorite part is the PURSE. Damn, I WANT THAT PURSE.

Next week, the 36-year-old mother-of-three will celebrate baby's first Christmas with her husband Jim Toth and son Tennessee James.
