Jennifer Garner campaigned for Hillary Clinton yesterday afternoon with a rally at the University of Nevada. She helped students register to vote, you can see a short video of her interacting with students above, and she was very friendly and enthusiastic. It was fun to see. You can watch a longer video of her appearance including her speech below. Garner shows up at about 2:00 minutes in and everyone cheers and starts freaking out. The person who posted the video notes that about 100 people turned out to see her, although it looks like more in the video. After this Garner went to the local Democratic office.
Here are highlights from the speech Garner gave, which you can see around 4:00 in the video below. She emphasizes that the deadline for registering to vote in Nevada is tomorrow (which is today!) and that students should ask their friends to register as well. She’s very comfortable speaking to the crowd and is a knowledgeable advocate for Hillary.
Have you all been bugged incessantly by people begging you to come out and get the vote and make sure you’re registered and ready to go? Well count me in because I’m going to say the same thing, except this time I’m going to say the deadline is now. You’re almost done, we’re going to get to the end of this election, sorry you’re going to school in a swing state but that’s how it is. The deadline is tomorrow to register on paper. We have people here with clipboards. I am registering people so you can get in line with me. My [request] is not only you commit to registering and voting yourselves but you commit to finding two friends [to register] and make sure you get it done. We do have a say, it does matter, that’s why we’re all here bugging you.
Let’s remember what we are looking for here. We are looking for kids whose parents make less than $125,000 a year being able to go to this great institution here for free. We are for someone who is going to raise minimum wage, who is going to help you afford to raise your babies so that you can go to work, who’s going to help make sure that your kids have universal pre-K which is something you may not care about now but trust me it’s important, and that is Hillary Rodham Clinton and I’m excited and proud to be here standing up for her… I’ll take selfies up the wazoo with anyone who stands in my line [to register].

I’m a registered Democrat and signed up to volunteer so I’ve been called quite a few times by my local office. Last night I agreed to go in to make calls the day before the election, when people are probably going to be so sick of getting calls, but we have to do it! We have to make sure everyone has a ride to the polls and that everyone gets a chance to vote. Yes Hillary will probably win in a landslide, but it’s going to be because we all did our part and didn’t get complacent. It’s important this year. Good for Garner for doing her part! This really made me warm to her.
If you haven’t registered to vote yet you can do so online at IWillVote.com until October 18th. Time is running out and the deadline is very soon so if you’re not registered yet do it now!
Garner also emphasized that you can vote early, which I’m really considering because I’m just so nervous about this election. I want to get it over with and will feel a sense of closure once I’ve voted.

Here are some photos of Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Arrival, their sci-fi film about aliens coming to earth and trying to communicate with us. Amy is the star and Renner is supporting, which he seems fine with. It seems like he?s trying to revamp his image a little bit after coming across like a sexist jag last year. The 2016 version of Renner is woke? or at least slightly more woke than his completely un-woke 2015 self. Anyway, that convoluted explanation is just my way of trying to figure out why Amy and Jeremy are on a tour of mutual admiration throughout the summer and autumn film festivals.
Amy?s dress in these photos is Valentino. I like it? for the most part. The deep-V needs a better fit because many were concerned that Amy?s girls were going to pop out at any moment. The bottom part has the butterfly graphic and it?s really pretty. I would love to have a sheet set that looked like this.
As for Amy and Jeremy?s thoughts on the election, Amy has said before that she?s obsessed with reading about politics this year in particular. On the red carpet, both actors responded to the Donald Trump tape.
Hollywood star Amy Adams has admitted she was left ?stunned? by the leaked tape of Donald Trump making obscene remarks about groping women. Walking the red carpet at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of her new film Arrival, Amy told the Press Association: ?I just love my news updates, I?m tied to my Google Alerts. It?s pretty remarkable. I think we are all stunned.?
She added that the themes of unity in her movie, in which she plays a professor of linguistics enlisted by the US government to decipher the language of extraterrestrials who have made contact, seem even more relevant as a result of the election campaign.
She said: ?Probably more so than when we started filming. We started filming over a year ago and now I feel with everything going on in the world, throughout Europe and the politics that are happening in the States right now, there is so much fear and it?s nice to be reminded that hopefully we can come out of that fear together to a bigger solution.?
Amy?s co-star Jeremy Renner, who plays the scientist who accompanies her character on a mission to determine the purpose of the alien visit, branded the situation in the US ?a debacle?, and added: ?Let?s get united on ideas and principles of humanity. That?s my takeaway of the movie, the strength we have when we are united rather than how terrible humanity can be when divided.?
He also backed his old friend for the top office, saying: ?I?m blessed to work with a woman I respect and admire, she is the main reason I wanted to be part of this movie. How about Amy Adams for president? I?ll be her VP!?

We could do a lot worse than Amy Adams as president. Think about it ? she might seem meek and goody-two-shoes, but she would be tough where it counts. She could do better than Renner as VP though.

Divorce isn?t always the end of a relationship. Yes, there are kids that keep exes in mandatory contact with each other and in the music business, there?s the prospect of once again making beautiful music together, quite literally. Singers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony not only made two adorable kids, Max and Emme, during their 7-year marriage, they also recorded the romantic duet ?No Me Ames? in 2007, featured on Jennifer?s all-Spanish album Como Ama Una Mujer. Well, it seems the pair are heading into the studio together once again.
Last month, soon after kicking former beau Casper Smart to the curb, the 47-year-old singer alluded to the fact that she and her 48-year-old ex may be reuniting professionally, telling Extra, ?We?re talking about doing some stuff together.? Well, the “stuff” is an all new Spanish language album, Jen?s first since 2007?s Mujer. Marc is serving as executive producer for the new project under his entertainment company, Magnus Media. The album is scheduled for release via only Music Latin in 2017. Jennifer told Billboard that the first single will most likely hit the air in November and told the magazine, “I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family.” Marc also released a statement expressing his excitement about working with his ex again:
[Jennifer] has had enormous accomplishments in her career and has been representing our culture all over the world from day one. Her artistry, professionalism and passion for music are just some of the many attributes that have earned her a unique place in the entertainment world that very few people have been able to obtain. I am looking forward to our creative collaboration and to be part of continuing her musical legacy.

Not only is Marc serving as executive producer for the album, he will also “provide consulting services to Lopez in the areas of marketing, content development, and touring specifically for the Hispanic market,” according to E! News.
But, one burning question remains. Is Marc going to actually sing with Jennifer on the album? Jen has recorded some great duets with Pitbull, Ricky Martin and Prince Royce – who recently admitted that Jen served as his fitness inspiration. She most recently recorded the lovely “Love Make the World Go Round” with Broadway?s sweetheart, Lin-Manuel Miranda.And, of course, “No Te Ames” is a beautiful love song.
J-Lo may have hinted that the two may record together again, telling Access Hollywood just last month. “When we sing together, when they see us together, knowing our history, it brings a certain nostalgia. They know we care about each other and still love each other. We have two kids together and they love to see that things are good between us.” It remains to be seen if they’ll take us all down memory lane again, but it could be magic – just professionally of course. I mean, I get along great with my ex-husband…now…and I think we could work together just fine. I don’t see a second chance for romance for myself or for Jennifer and Marc. I do like Jen though and I hope she finds love. And, speaking from experience, she should probably look for someone close to her own age.

This spring, Kate Winslet was in New York filming Collateral Beauty. Then in September, she was filming in New York again, this time being directed by Woody Allen. I?m mentioning this because Kate was photographed a lot on both sets, and there are consistent paparazzi photos of her throughout this year? but it doesn?t seem like she?s been photographed with her husband, Ned RocknRoll, since the SAG Awards back in January. Is this suspicious? We?ve heard for years that Ned is pretty much Kate?s house-husband, and he stays at home and raises the kids while she works. But before the past year, we would see Kate out and about with Ned at premieres, galas and so on every few months. So? is there trouble in paradise?
Third time just hasn?t been the charm for Kate Winslet. Sources tell Star the seven-time Oscar nominee?s marriage to Ned Rocknroll is on shaky ground as the pair approach their fourth anniversary.
?Ned is like a little kid, but Kate?s already got three,? spills a source close to the twice-divorced actress, 41. ?Nowadays, when you ask Kate about Ned, she just sighs and says, ?Sometimes I feel like he?s just along for the ride.?? And perhaps he is. Kate?s kept man, 38, allegedly quit his job as head of marketing promotion and astronaut experience at Virgin Galactic shortly after they wed!
Kate, however, has got her hands full. ?She shoots two to three movies a year on top of taking care of Mia, Joe and Bear,? says the pal, leaving her little time to look after Ned too. ?And when something?s got to give, it?s usually been her marriage.?

You’re trying to tell me that a grown-ass man who legally changed his name to “Ned RockNRoll” is an immature man-baby? NO. I DO NOT BELIEVE IT. I know a good number of people will say ?it?s Star, so of course it?s bulls?t!? But it feels like there?s some kind of vein of truth here. It?s the weirdest thing. I do think Winslet is the kind of person who gets bored in relationships/marriages when everything becomes routine. I also imagine that?s compounded when she?s the sole breadwinner of the marriage. Plus, we rarely hear gossip about Winslet?s marriage, so when we do, I?m always like ?Huh, someone might have a reliable source on this!? Maybe it?s nothing, who knows?
