Spending another day in front of the cameras, Blake Lively was hard at work on the set of "Gossip Girl" in Brooklyn, NY on Thursday (March 1).
Teaming up with co-star Kelly Rutherford, the filming comes as the pair's series is currently on break until a new episode titled "Con-Heir" airs on April 2nd.
Aside from work duties, Miss Lively always receives plenty of compliments regarding her boho plait coif.
Celebrity hairstylist James Pecis spoke with Glamour about the process of matching Blake's look, saying, "Spritz salt spray all over damp hair. Do a rough blow-dry with your hands for a bed-head look."
Pecis continued, "Pick sections from behind your ears and backcomb or tease the hair at the roots. Take a few sections from the back of your head and plait them. Keep the plaits loose. Remember, this look should be soft and effortless!"

Just days away from her much-talked-about hosting gig on SNL, Lindsay Lohan was spotted biding her time in SoHo this afternoon (March 1).
The troubled young actress kept bundled up in a a fur jacket as she toted Prada purse in-hand while grabbing a bite to eat and doing a bit of light shopping.
Miss Lohan's Big Apple outing comes just as an interview in which she offered up to "Today" aired earlier in the morning.
The ?Mean Girls? star noted that - while she used to have an appetite for destruction - she?s happy to maintain a low-key lifestyle these days.

Beyonce Knowles was taken to Sant Ambroeus in NYC’s West Village for lunch by Jay-Z last Saturday where three sources confirmed that she just sat there at her table with her boob out nursing her baby girl.
Actually, I don’t know if her boob was just flopped out right there on the table, she probably used more discretion, but it sure does make the story sound hotter. I’m a little disappointed no one snapped pictures though. If you want to make it in this world, you have to stifle those useless feelings called “shame” and “fear that Jay-Z will kick your ass.”

Making a statement in the City of Lights, Katy Perry was spotted sporting a see-through dress while out and about in Paris, France today (March 1).
From under her blue coif, the ?Hot N Cold? songstress peered out through her oversized sunglasses and walked to a nearby Paris Fashion Week event.
And coming up on March 13th, Katy?s Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection hits stores, with the single ?Part of Me? doing well on the Billboard Hot 100.
Ms. Perry told press, "It feels like the record that never ends! Obviously I'm going to close this chapter soon. ... I am ready to make a new record and maybe try another approach artistically, and I will close the book on Teenage Dream soon, but [Complete Confection] just felt really organic. I'm doing it mostly for the hard-core fans, because they always love all the extras. And also, I couldn't put more than 12 songs on the original Teenage Dream, and I had written more songs ... and I finally wanted to incorporate them."
As for writing her next album, Katy shared, "It's a very therapeutic thing for me, songwriting. I'm kind of one of those people who is a bit emotion-less on the outside, especially in public, but what I do is I store it, and I file it, so when I need to write I can just push that button. I'm going to stick my finger out there and test the waters of what the world wants, or what I need to say ... but, I'm all ears. If people want me to do another pop record, I can do another pop record ... I definitely have a lot to say right now, and in general always have. If you want an opinion, I've got one, unfortunately."

They begin by showing Lindsay at 19 on the Todayshow, back when she had a career, showed promise and didn’t have a bloated face. Good, good. Let’s start the interview by depressing her.
Matt Lauer moves on to her upcoming SNL hosting gig where we learn everything isn’t “off-limits.” She actuallyconsultedwith an attorney on what was acceptable or not.
Lindsay was then told to imagine herself at 30 and what people would be talking about then. Proving that this girl is still delusional, she said she’ll have won an Oscar by then. *Shakes head until brain bruises*
Well, to be fair, she said she’ll have just come from the Oscars. So maybe it’s a more realistic goal and she’s just hoping for an invite to the Oscars in 5 years. Which is maybe doable.

The gay rumor has followed you for years.
I think it?s funny, but the last thing you?ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, ?These are lies!? That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I?m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I?m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I?m gay? I?ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don?t give a shit.
That’s weird. I always thought jumping up and down and vehemently denying something was the way to go when you want to put an end to unfounded rumors. “He’s so adamant,” people would say. “He must be telling the truth.”

Christina Ricci covers the April issue of Marie Claire UK, and she’s wearing a yellow Louis Vuitton dress (or top) that looks suspiciously like the one worn by Lana Del Ray’s lips on the cover of British Vogue’s March issue. I think Christina is still promoting her starring role in the “Pan Am” television series even though the ratings haven’t been great and speculation has swirled of an inevitable cancellation. However, ABC maintains that the show is still in the running for a second season, so who knows. The photoshoot itself is quite lovely and springlike with lots of soft lighting and breezy fabrics. Not to mention airbrushed nips, which I’ve included at the bottom of this post. Here’s the subscriber’s cover of the magazine and some interview excerpts as well:
On hitting her 30s: “I’m so glad I’m not 20 years old any more. I was in a hurricane. I’m a lot calmer now. I don’t cause destruction for myself and others everywhere I go. I take things as they happen and I’ve learned to be calm about things. Troubleshoot as problems arise and just make the best out of things.”
On the importance of being herself: “I’ve always said to people you should never let anyone try to change who you are because the only commodity you really have is you individuality. There are a million actresses and that’s the only thing that makes you special.”
On her future man: “Somebody smart and funny that I love being with.”

I agree with Christina that reaching one’s 30s is generally a calmer period in life, but she’s only 32. Once she hits 35 or so, her attitude might change. I know that mine did, for I really miss the relative freedom of my early 20s. Still, maybe she has a real point in regards to something that she’s not quite clarifing, like say, relationship drama. As far as I’m aware, she broke off her engagement with Owen Benjamin in 2009, so the timing Christina hitting her 30s at that point makes sense.

Jesus, I love those leather pants. I want those. But I couldn?t pull them off. I?m too old and I?m not skinny and leggy enough for them. These are new photos of Kristen Stewart once again in Paris – hopefully she won?t flip the bird on this trip. Since Kristen is the new face of Balenciaga, one of her duties is to show up at the Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week. I?m assuming she?s wearing head-to-toe Balenciaga. Dislike the blouse, the jacket is? odd. But the pants!!! I?m still not sold on the idea of Kristen fronting a major fashion campaign, but I?m glad to see her fulfilling her duties without her usual eye-rolls and lip-bites. Hopefully, she?s growing in confidence, or she?s just learning how to carry herself with more professionalism. Also: Sparkles didn?t join Kristen for this trip to Paris. She?s flying solo in Paris! Epic.
Kristen was most recently in LA over Oscar weekend – she and Robert Pattinson both put in some appearances at various industry parties. By all accounts, they were completely and utterly loved up and affectionate all over the place. Some people (Twihards) were surprised that neither Sparkles nor Kristen presented at the Oscars – although those people (Twihards) also think that Kristen and Rob specifically avoided the Oscars because Breaking Dawn didn?t get nominated for anything. For real. Like, some people thought it would get nominated for an OSCAR. Honestly, though – I would have loved to have seen one or both of them at the Oscars. There should have been more younger acctors invited to present this year. Everything felt so dated, so early 2000s.
One last thing – the new poster for On the Road. Is this movie going to suck? I?m kind of worried that the book is simply un-adaptable.

Making the most of her time in the States, Miranda Kerr was spotted out and about in Los Angeles yesterday afternoon (February 29).
The Victoria?s Secret cutie sported a sleeveless patterned top with slim-fit jeans as she strolled past a swarm of shutterbugs en route to a meeting.
Miranda and her adorable 13-month-old son Flynn had arrived in Los Angeles on a flight from her home country of Australia earlier in the week.
And coming up, Ms. Kerr will be holding more promotional appearances for her Kora Organics Skincare Line with her mother Therese and gal pal Kate McAloon.

I have to give Michelle Williams some belated credit. Even though her Oscar campaign annoyed me to no end, she wasn?t using actively using her daughter as part of her campaign. Like, Michelle played up her ?mommy? credentials, of course, all while being ensconced in her second virginity, and all while actively playing The Widow Ledger. But in retrospect, isn?t it nice that there weren?t dozens of ?candid? photo shoots of Michelle and Matilda? I like that Michelle actively (and truly) seems to want to keep Matilda away from Hollywood and from the paparazzi lenses. If it had been Jennifer Garner up for an Oscar, there would have been twice-daily photo ops, every single day of her campaign.
So what do you make of these photos? Michelle and Matilda have been photographed out and about in LA twice this week, post-Oscars. I?m going to give Michelle the rare benefit of the doubt and say that Michelle is simply not used to being in LA with Matilda, and she wasn?t expecting the paparazzi to catch her out with Mattie. Is that fair to her? Or is this part of a new kind of mommy-centric campaign?
Mattie is a cutie, isn?t she? As she gets older, I see more of Michelle in her and less of Heath. And I like that Mattie isn?t used to seeing photographers too – she seems uncomfortable seeing strange men around her. As most normal kids would be.
One last thing – have you read this blind item? A lot of people think it?s about Michelle. I think it could be about Rooney Mara or Viola Davis, but Michelle probably is the better guess.

In the April issue of V Magazine (the one with J. Lo?s CUP), Christina Hendricks has this pictorial and interview, likely to promote the upcoming season of Mad Men. MARCH 25!!!!! OMG. Less than a month away!!! I might need to re-watch Season 4 just because I think I?ve forgotten some stuff. Anyway, Christina, leather, bad styling. Damn, I really hate this photo shoot. What can I even say about Christina at this point – I really like her on Mad Men, and I think she?s an underrated actress. But she?s not stylish. And she often looks like hell on the red carpet and in magazines. I just don?t know anymore. Christina’s full V Mag piece is here, and here are some highlights:
Christina on going unnoticed: ?Oh, I can totally go unnoticed. I ran around all day today. Not a mention. In Los Angeles you know the neighborhoods where you?re more likely to get noticed. And then you probably put on lipstick.?
Joan?s pregnancy: ?It probably surprised a lot of people. It certainly surprised me,? she says. ?Joan certainly has motherly instincts?at least in a bossy way.?
Learning how to wear a girdle: ?Now I put moleskin underneath the rubber so it doesn?t rub against my skin,? she says. ?I still get a little bruised up, but I?m learning the tricks of the trade.?

She?s playful: In the past several years, she has donned a motion-capture suit to star in Need For Speed: The Run, an installment in a massive racing-simulator-video-game franchise; judged an episode of Top Chef Masters (with her husband, actor Geoffrey Arend); appeared as a Latisse spokeswoman for a special project to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation (?I have long, beautiful lashes right now,? she says); and is currently the voice of the Baskin-Robbins ?Flavortising? campaign (?I?ve always been a butter-pecan girl?). She has also admitted to enjoying a drive in her PT Cruiser and, it should be noted, appeared twice as Saffron, a seductive outer-space con artist, on Joss Whedon?s 2002 short-lived but slavishly followed Firefly (fanboys never forget).
Getting more parts because of Mad Men: ?It?s amazing to even get these opportunities,? she continues. ?I didn?t have them before Mad Men?it opened up so many doors. I feel like a kid in a candy store and I want to try everything.?

Fulfilling her Royal duties, Kate Middleton was spotted at the recently renamed Diamond Jubilee Tea Station in Piccadilly, London today (March 1).
The Duchess of Cambridge was joined by Queen Elizabeth II and Camilla Duchess of Cornwall at the former Fortnum & Mason store which was given the new moniker as part of this year?s celebrations marking the Queen?s Diamond Jubilee.
And all three ladies opted for different shades of blue for their attire as they posed for pictures outside the 305-year-old store.
The Mayor of London Boris Johnson and a group of animal rights protesters also showed up for the occasion. The animal rights folks were campaigning against foie gras sales.
Meanwhile, the Queen and 150 guests had tea to commemorate the Piccadilly district?s inclusion in the Diamond Jubilee.

If you would have told me when Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban got married that they were going to last over five years I wouldn’t have believed you. I know that sounds mean, but Keith went to rehab shortly after he was married and we heard some stories about his hard-partying ways. He didn’t seem ready to sober up and settle down, but he did it anyway. Keith now seems like a very devoted husband and father, and he must consider himself lucky to have such a great family.
That’s just a preface to these photos of Nicole and Keith at the airport in Sydney yesterday with their two daughters. They have daughter Sunday Rose, three and a half, and daughter Faith Margaret, 14 months. Faith was born via gestational carrier but I would guess she’s biologically Nicole’s as she looks just like her sister and her mom. Look at those ginger curls. Those girls are precious and I can’t believe how big Sunday is! We hardly ever see her and it looks like she grew up overnight. She’s so tall and I would have guessed that she’s older.
The family was in Australia partially for Keith’s job as a judge on the Australian version of The Voice. They also have family and friends in Australia, as the Daily Mail notes, and surely paid some visits while they were there.
I love Nicole’s dress and would like to own a cheaper version of it. The nude-tone underlay gives the illusion that you can see through it by some angles, which adds a little sexiness to it. It’s a very pretty dress and looks comfortable for traveling.
What a nice looking family they are. They look very happy and relaxed and I see a lot of pride on Keith’s face. Who knew?

Over the weekend, we noted Beyonce and Jay-Z?s first big public outing with baby Blue Ivy. You couldn?t even see the baby in any of the photos – Beyonce had Blue swaddled up in what seemed like five blankets, and it also seemed like there might not even be a baby underneath all of the stuff. Well, we had a fun time debating what was really going on in the photos – perhaps a family going out for breakfast, or perhaps another in a long line of hard-sells to ?prove? what an awesome and natural and nurturing mom Beyonce is. My favorite comment was that Beyonce seemed to be carrying her swaddled up weave.
So Beyonce and Jay have done another photo op with a swaddled Blue Ivy, but this time we don?t have the pics – you can see one here. In addition to that, Us Weekly had this completely normal and not-at-all-suspiciously-planted story about Beyonce breast-feeding in public:

Two additional sources confirm to Us that the first-time mom has been breastfeeding her daughter.

Mother and child emerged the very next day; this time, Beyonce held Blue in an exotic leopard-print wrap by Baby Bjorn.
Although the superstar is happily taking some time off to be a mom with Blue at their massive Tribeca loft and Scarsdale, New York mansion she shares with Jay-Z, 43, she’s gearing up for two musical projects in 2012 — and a potential film, One Hit Wonders. The brainchild of Glee creator Ryan Murphy, the musical comedy may star her pal Gwyneth Paltrow plus Cameron Diaz and Reese Witherspoon as faded 90s singers who team up in an effort to reclaim their fame. Beyonce’s potential role in the flick is not yet known.

CB, Bedhead and I were debating the story last night, and we ended up coming down on the side of ?No comment.? As in, we don?t even want to get into the debate about this breast-feeding story. If it?s really going down like these sources claim, good work and God bless. Breastfeeding is great, and women should have the right to breastfeed in public. Cough.
In other Beyonce news, there are some reports that Bey is going to join Jay-Z on the European leg of his Watch the Throne tour over the summer. There?s some question as to whether little Blue will be joining them, though. I mean? of course Blue will be coming, right? Beyonce knows that all of these ?she?s such an awesome and natural mother!? reports will look dumb if she goes on tour with Jay and leaves the baby in NYC, right?

These are photos of Katy Perry attempting to go “incognito” yesterday as she struts (with guitar slung across her back) through Heathrow airport. She managed to hide the blue hair very well, but I tend to believe that anyone trying that hard not to be noticed … definitely wants to be noticed. Still, I’ll give Katy a break in this regard because Katy appears to be modestly dressed and truly aiming for a low-key transition to her connecting flight.
Beyond airport outings, Katy has reason to celebrate these days, for she has just achieved her seventh #1 hit on the Billboard charts. Which song? Oh, just “Part of Me,” i.e., the song she sang at this year’s Grammys taht was widely believed to be a performance designed to stick it to dodgy, errant Russell Brand. However, Katy has insisted to Yahoo! that her life is like “The Truman Show” and that the song is not about Russell at all but was actually written a few years ago. While that last detail is technically accurate, Katy did tweak the original lyrics onstage at the Grammys (and for the single’s official release) to include “You can keep the diamond ring. It don’t mean nothing anyway.” In other words, Katy can claim that she wasn’t calling out her estranged husband onstage, but we all know better. Further, it’s obvious that Katy was playing the sympathy card to sell her single, and it worked. In case you missed it, here’s a video clip of that performance again. I’m always amazed at Katy’s ability to willingly wear rubberized latex outfits without sweating up a storm:
Meanwhile, this week’s issue of Us Weekly has managed to secure Katy’s rider for the Grammys, and it’s the usual mix of fresh cut veggies, organic fruit, dry roasted edamame, vitamin watter, and Huggies baby wipes that one would expect from today’s breed of pop star. However, there are a few interesting items of note:
Arrangement of fresh flowers consisting of pink, white and purple hydrangeas, Pink and white roses and peonies. OR if the above is not available, a selection of seasonal white flowers to include orchids.
ABSOLUTELY NO CARNATIONS.
Driver policy
Driver must stay behind the steering wheel at all times.

As autocratic as the driver policy seems, I believe that is essentially the ongoing standard for Katy’s on-ground transportation per her 2011 tour demands. However, what’s going on with the “no carnations” requirement? Does she believe (like Charlotte in Season 5 of “Sex and the City”) that carnations are merely filler flowers? At least she hasn’t outlawed hydrangeas like Madonna has done. Yet I will never understand the demand for a fresh flower arrangement that will simply go to waste after an hour or two of peripheral enjoyment. A demand like that borders into Goop territory, and I’m pretty sure that Katy hasn’t approached that level of pretentious annoyance yet.

George Clooney has a nice interview in the new issue of The Advocate. I?m guessing that he did this before the Oscars, which means that George was probably in the mind-set of ?This will be published after I win my second Oscar, so I need to sound like I?ve just been crowned The King of Hollywood.? That?s not fair, though. He?s only slightly preachy in this piece. The reason behind the interview is interesting – he?s participating in a one-night-only reading of Dustin Lance Black?s play 8, which is ?adapted from transcripts of California?s historic Proposition 8 trial.? Clooney is all about gay rights! And he doesn?t care if you think he?s gay, either. Well? he probably does care. But he doesn?t want you to know he cares. On why he’s fighting for marriage equality: It?s always been this albatross that stood out to me as the final leg of the civil rights movement. It really came to a head during the 2004 elections, when it was used as a wedge issue, and it was a very effective tool to keep the Republicans in office and to avoid talking about other issues. Well before Prop. 8, I?ve made the point that every time we?ve stood against equality, we?ve been on the wrong side of history. It?s the same kind of argument they made when they didn?t want blacks to serve in the military, or when they didn?t want blacks to marry whites. One day the marriage equality fight will look as archaic as George Wallace standing on the University of Alabama steps keeping James Hood from attending college because he was black. People will be embarrassed to have been on the wrong side. So it?s encouraging to know that this too will seem like such a silly argument to our next generation. There are even a lot of young conservatives today for whom marriage equality isn?t an issue. It always takes government an extra generation to catch up to the people.
On his bromance with Brad Pitt: I do think we?ve set the bar very high. People think Brad and I hang out all the time, but the truth is that we see each other very rarely, maybe a couple times a year. I?ve had great fun spending time with my friend again over the awards season. Not only do I enjoy him as a person and respect his talent, but I also love what he does in the world. I can?t speak highly enough about how hard he works at making the world better. I?m very proud to call him my friend.
On actors coming out: It?s obviously not the same as if it were the ?50s and ?60s with Rock Hudson. Look at Neil Patrick Harris. He?s a big star on a hit show, and no one?s telling him he can?t play a straight womanizer. I use Neil as an example because I?ve spent time with him and I like him a lot. People like Neil and Ellen DeGeneres have opened the door to making it easier for everyone, and now each person just has to figure out his or her own path. Maybe it?s as simple as a gay actor going to work and getting the job done.
On gay rumors about him: I think it?s funny, but the last thing you?ll ever see me do is jump up and down, saying, ?These are lies!? That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I?m not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, and I?m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I?m gay? I?ll be long dead and there will still be people who say I was gay. I don?t give a sh-t.
On making a gay biopic, such as The Paul Lynde Story: Yeah, I?d play the center square. The title of the movie would be I?ll Take Paul Lynde to Block. Listen, there are a bunch of interesting stories out there, but I just haven?t found a screenplay with a gay subject that felt right for me as something that I could direct or act in. I?m certainly not avoiding it. Whether it?s about being gay or it just happens to have a gay character, if it?s a great screenplay, let?s go do it.
George thinks Ryan Gosling is hot: Not that I don?t think Bradley Cooper is a perfectly sexy guy, but I?m still shocked that Ryan Gosling didn?t get Sexiest Man Alive last year. I thought he worked hard and ran a very solid campaign, so I feel that he was ripped off.
On Michael Fassbender’s nude scene in Shame: Well, c?mon. Every guy who saw that movie was like, ?Jesus Christ,? at the exact same time.

I love that Clooney keeps talking about Michael Fassbender and, you know, the Fassdong. Clooney should be Fassy?s publicist – he?s doing more to get Michael noticed than anyone else (except for me, I guess).
As for the possibility that Clooney is gay – I?ve gone back and forth on it in the past. At this point, I think Clooney is mostly straight. If you told me he liked dudes who looked like ladies, I wouldn?t be surprised. If you told me he?ll date a woman even if she wasn?t born a woman, I would agree. But I do think he?s mostly straight – if he was gay, he would certainly have better taste in beards, wouldn?t he? He has sex with women. Woman with Adam?s apples. Women who are very strong, women who don?t mind dominating in some friendly games amongst consenting adults.

The state of Jennifer Aniston’s womb is a matter of constant discussion. I think people began focusing on it when she married Brad Pitt, because he was always so vocal about wanting kids (to the point of tearing up on Oprah?s couch), and because Jennifer?s reputation back in those days was as the nice, sweet girl-next-door. Of course the nice, sweet girl-next-door wants to be a mother, especially when she?s married to Brad Pitt, right? Well, as we know, babies never happened with Brad and Jennifer. They split in January 2005, and for months, the rumor mill spun the tale of Jennifer denying Brad?s dreams of fatherhood, which led to Brad falling for single mother Angelina Jolie. Then came Aniston?s now-infamous Vanity Fair interview in the September 2005 issue. I want to put a decent-sized excerpt from the piece, just because I?m still in disbelief that VF printed such a sycophantic piece of Aniston propaganda:
[Brad and Jennifer] seemed the most fortunate couple imaginable?two beautiful superstars who had hit the jackpot, earning not only fame and riches but also an enduring love. Their fans had long been captivated by the romance of America’s Sweetheart and the Sexiest Man in the World, and now they were ready to begin a thrilling new chapter. Aniston’s 10-year run on Friends was ending, and she and Pitt had vowed to start a family when her stupendously successful television series was finished…. But the ensuing months brought an onslaught of rumors that he had gotten involved with Angelina Jolie while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Instead of the joyful announcement many had anticipated from the Pitts, there was only silence.
…And then came the oh-so-civilized announcement, on January 7, that Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt were separating?that their parting was “the result of much thoughtful consideration,” that it was not caused by “any of the speculation reported by the tabloid media,” and that they would remain “committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another.”
If Pitt had kept a low profile in the months to come, that might even have turned out to be true. Instead, the ominous drumroll of gossip began to crescendo as he and Jolie rendezvoused in exotic locales, still denying that they were an item. With the paparazzi snapping away, Pitt stepped into what looked suspiciously like a paternal role with Jolie’s adopted Cambodian son, Maddox.
“It was extremely hurtful to Jen that he was seen with another woman so quickly after they were separated,” says Andrea Bendewald, an actress who has been one of Aniston’s closest friends since they were teenagers.
Instead of being reviled as The Other Woman, Jolie posed for pictures on an energetic round of appearances as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations?and then trumped even that public-relations bonanza by adopting another orphan, an African girl whose parents had died of AIDS. In the blink of an eye, the twice-divorced Jolie?previously known as a tattooed vixen with a taste for bisexuality, heroin, brotherly incest, mental institutions, and wearing her husbands’ blood?had morphed into a globe-trotting humanitarian who seemed to be channeling Audrey Hepburn.
For the 36-year-old Aniston, who had expected to spend the past year being pregnant, the pain of watching this spectacle unfold was compounded by vicious rumors about herself. As misogynist as they were false, sensationalistic stories claimed the real reason the marriage ended was that Aniston refused to have Pitt’s baby because she was so ambitious she cared only about her career.
Even now, that sexist slur makes her face darken. “A man divorcing would never be accused of choosing career over children,” she says. “That really pissed me off. I’ve never in my life said I didn’t want to have children. I did and I do and I will! The women that inspire me are the ones who have careers and children; why would I want to limit myself? I’ve always wanted to have children, and I would never give up that experience for a career. I want to have it all.”
Aniston’s intimates note acidly that Pitt could have done more to refute the mean-spirited rumor that his wife wouldn’t bear his child, which reinforced the impression that he had good cause to leave her for Earth Mother Jolie. To some, this looks like sheer hypocrisy.
“When Brad and Jen were in the marriage, having a baby was not his priority?ever,” says one mutual friend. “It was an abstract desire for him, whereas for Jen it was much more immediate. So is there a part of Brad that’s diabolical? Did he think, I need to get out of this marriage, but I want to come out smelling like a rose, so I’m going to let Jen be cast as the ultra-feminist and I’m going to get cast as the poor husband who couldn’t get a baby and so had to move on?”

Hit piece. Pity party. And as it turns out, Aniston had shackled herself to that version of story for years and years to come. In the years that followed, Aniston has pulled out the ?I want babies, for real? card whenever she promoted a movie, gleefully joking about ?the rumors? while selling her wholesome, baby-desiring brand repeatedly in magazines. One year ago – for her 42nd birthday – Aniston scored the cover of People Magazine – a cover story that her publicist surely green-lit the entire way, a cover story which included “babies!” in the headline. In that piece, Aniston told the magazine, “I think people honestly just want to see me as a mom and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. And I just want to say, ?Everybody, relax! It?s going to happen.??
So imagine my eye roll when I saw that Aniston is once again talking about her womb in the public sphere. She did an interview with Gayle King of CBS a few days ago to promote Wanderlust, and of course, Aniston and Gayle had to joke around about Aniston?s latest tabloid pregnancy. Aniston takes her denial one step further, though. She says we?re all ?very narrow-minded? to ?assume? that she can?t be happy without a baby. She tells Gayle, ?That doesn’t measure the level of my happiness or my success in my life, in my achievements, in any of that.” Yes, after playing the baby card for years, Aniston is truly upset that we would take her at her word, that we would believe her public statements. Is it okay if I say that I find it ?very narrow-minded? that she thinks her fans will abandon her if she admits she never really gave a crap about having kids? Will a pity party commence if I say that I find it ?very narrow-minded? that she only talks about wanting to have kids when she?s selling us a movie?

In fact, she’s middling at best. I averaged the IMDB ratings for all the movies she’s done and it comes out to 5.6. That’s out of 10. That’s 56%. If she was in school, she would have flunked out. Hollywood should have academic probation. If you don’t have at least a 60% average on IMDB, then you have to go to community college and take acting classes to either earn your way or blow your way out.
