It’s slower than usual for a Monday, which I should take as a nice sign that everyone is gearing down for the big food holiday in the US this Thursday. Still, it makes our jobs as professional gossips a little harder as we struggle for who to talk about. Let’s stretch out the AMA Fashion into this one last post of a few stragglers.
Here’s Heidi Klum in her signature look: sexy ridiculous fug. This woman doesn’t care what she wears as long as she shows off her hot body. To prove my point: this, this, this and this.
Heidi is in Alexandre Vauthier, who was responsible for her equally awful and ill-fitting Emmys gown. This time she’s in a very tight, very short, very see-through gold lacy brocade gown with cap sleeves, shoulder pads and matching f’ing shoes. Matching f’ing shoes! That actually makes me angry for some reason I can’t properly explain. These look like Louboutins, so I want to know if they were custom made to mimic the dress, or if the dress was designed to match the shoes. Either way, awful! (This material is something called guipure lace if you’re interested, but you probably won’t be after seeing it on Heidi.) I used to like Heidi when I barely paid attention to her, but lately she’s on my sh*t list.
In contrast, Jordin Sparks is a sweetie with bad fashion sense. That’s just the impression I get of her, she seems perfectly nice and harmless. She’s in a mess of a patchwork and fishnet Etro dress that’s supposed to be contemporary but just looks cacophonous. (Sorry for that $10 word, I couldn’t come up with anything else and it is a music event after all.) It’s not very flattering to her great figure, either. Red Carpet Fashion Awards claims that Sparks is pulling off this look, but I disagree. I don’t think anyone could wear that dress well, apart from maybe Cate Blanchett.
Jordin was with her boyfriend, singer Jason Derulo. Huffington Post has a nice article about these two along with some quotes from Jordin saying she hopes he proposes. Play it closer to your chest, Jordin!
Lucy Hale from “Pretty Little Liars: was cute in a simple black cocktail dress with red heels and a statement necklace. It’s a very young, innocent look. She’s 23 though and I would put her at 17 or 18 in this outfit. She’s got a baby face I guess.
And finally Elisha Cuthbert of “Happy Endings” was looking like she was at the Oscars in a strapless, formfitting gold Georges Chakra gown. This dress is amazing, but I wonder if it’s a little too formal for this event. Still, she looked incredible. Her hair and makeup were so well done too.

Britney Spears was all set to marry her manager/co-conservator Jason Trawick this December, but it looks like the wedding isn’t going to happen. Radar Online says:
“Britney and Jason have been fighting non-stop so the wedding has now been called off,” a source close to the situation [says].
“They are telling their friends it’s being postponed, but they will probably never make it down the aisle. Britney doesn’t think Jason is any fun and resents him because he acts more like a second father.
Jason feels like he is Britney’s babysitter and it’s pretty much just a business arrangement at this point. Jason does love Britney and the boys, but he just can’t see himself spending the rest of his life with her,” the source says.
I can see the appeal for Britney here. Jason’s got a latent K-Fed quality about him (if one can use the word “quality” when referencing Kevin Federline), but without the gut or the stink of failure or the passel of illegitimate children. It’s a classic teenage girl my-daddy-likes-my-boyfriend-so-I-don’t-like-him-anymore syndrome. Or maybe he just gets tired of spraying her down with the hose every time she breaks out the Pink wig and the British accent. Besides, you can only watch a girl eat nacho cheese with a spoon so many times before your wiener decides to cut bait.
You can do green without looking like a leprechaun whore if you pass on the panels and lyrca.

In regards to giving birth to her baby boy, Miss Hudson dished to Redbook that she suffered major beauty trauma.

We’re splitting the AMAs fashion coverage into a few posts, (Kaiser’s previous coverage is here and here) and Christina Aguilera takes the lead today for several reasons. I have mixed feelings about this look. First off, this ombre purple Pamella Roland dress is an impressive choice for her. Her tits and/or ass aren’t hanging out, it fits properly, and it’s actually quite flattering. The dress, coupled with that very obvious pageboy wig, give a kind of “Barbie” effect, but that’s a minor complaint compared to her past looks. Her makeup is still very heavy-handed but it’s classier, and I really like the nude lip. That said, the wig is very cheap-looking and obvious, but it’s a real improvement from the Fraggle dip-dye hair she’s been sporting in various shades of awful. The style seems dated to me, I had that exact same hair in the early 90s, but again for her it’s decent. If only she could lay off the dayglow orange tanner and the body sparkle. Baby steps.
Next up, Ginnifer Goodwin, who has ruined any affection I had for her sweet as pie “Once Upon a Time” character by looking so consistently humorless and smug on the red carpet. She bugs me, and today is no exception. She’s wearing a peach Oscar de La Renta resort 2013 cocktail dress with sequins. They love this dress over at Red Carpet Fashion Awards, but I just find it more of the same from her. She wears something fashion-forward, puts on her best model face and thinks she’s avant garde. At least she dresses modestly and isn’t wearing Stella McCartney or Marchesa.
Jennifer Morrison was in a v-neck sparkly black Abed Mahfouz gown with cap sleeves and a high leg slit. Look at her working that leg like Jolie. This is an underwhelming dress, but she wears it well. I love her braided updo (she’s gone back to blonde!) and her makeup. See how far a smile goes to completing a look?
I can’t get a designer ID on Hayden Panettiere’s sparkly little dress, but it’s not all that different from what she wore to the CMA Awards earlier this month. Her matchy shoes are not cute. Hayden’s styling is pretty bad. Her hair looks like she didn’t wash it and just pulled it back, and those bright Pink lips and gold eyes just look amateurish. Hayden was there with her latest boyfriend, a football player named Scotty McKnight. He looks like a boy bander. Downgrade from Klitschko!

I was glancing through all of the red carpet photos, and good God was this a terrible event style-wise. Some of the new trends are ?horrible Barbie wigs? and ?cocktail dresses with really high necks.? Awful. I was going to make Taylor Swift the lead of this post, but I?m much more fascinated by Stacy Keibler?s Collette Dinnigan minidress. This might be the minidress to end all minidresses. I?m pretty sure that if she even breathed the wrong way or leaned forward a few inches, we would be seeing her Keibler biscuit. Now, all that being said, if Dinnigan had added maybe 3 more inches to the bottom, I would have absolutely loved this dress. Also: WTF was she doing there? ?Clooney?s Girlfriend? is not a musical career.
And here we have Kerry Washington in a Stella McCartney Resort 2013 dress. I really like Kerry and I really loathe this dress. Stella McCartney has literally NO IDEA what she?s doing. These look like grandma?s drapes dip-dyed neon yellow.
Gwen Stefani (with her No Doubt bandmates) ? Gwen wore Balmain Fall 2012. I think it?s head-to-toe Balmain ? I like the leather pants but I think the blazer/jacket is too fussy. Instead of looking like something retro and special, it photographs like a cardigan that Bill Cosby would have worn in 1987.
And finally, here?s Taylor Swift in a Zuhair Murad dress. Much like Keibler, I?m starting to really admire Swifty?s legs. She has nice legs, no joke. As for the Murad? I?m Murad?d out after Kristen Stewart wore the designer back-to-back last week. Plus, this is just a variation on a dress we?ve seen on Swifty dozens of times before.

Kim Kardashian is in trouble! No, not with PETA and not with Kris Humphries and not with Kanye West. Kim brought the trouble on herself, although I do feel like her intentions were well-placed. Sort of. Still, she should have known that she was wading into a hornet?s nest of political controversy. Late last week, Hamas operatives began targeting civilian targets in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, and Israel pushed back by bombing targets (some associated with Hamas) in Gaza. Israel also threatened to ?put boots on the ground? if Hamas continued to target their rockets at civilian targets in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, and many feel like a ground war ? with Israel re-invading Gaza ? is coming, and that if comes it will be an enormous clusterf?k which draws in US, Egypt and other international players. Basically, this situation is the kind of devastating geopolitical disaster which every dumb famewhore should have enough sense to avoid commenting on.
So what did Kim do? She started tweeting about it. Yes. First she tweeted ?Praying for everyone in Israel? and then a few hours later (when her Twitter was exploding with messages) she tweeted ?Praying for everyone in Palestine and across the world!? Which, of course, did nothing to calm the situation. So Kim deleted those two tweets and posted this message on her Celebuzz page:
I want to own up to and explain that earlier today I sent out two tweets about saying prayers for the people in Palestine and Israel and after hearing from my followers, I decided to take down the tweets because I realized that some people were offended and hurt by what I said, and for that I apologize. I should have pointed out my intentions behind these tweets when I posted them. The fact is that regardless of religion and political beliefs, there are countless innocent people involved who didn?t choose this, and I pray for all of them and also for a resolution. I also pray for all the other people around the world who are caught in similar crossfires.

Yeah, I understand what she?s trying to say. She?s not taking some hyper-political position on Middle East politics or anything, she was just trying to take a general position on ?killing people is bad, it makes me sad when people are caught up in these situations.?
