Right now. It’s unclear how the source kept from breaking out in hysterical laughter during the conversation.Of course, everyone thinks this is a planted story to increase demand thus raising the value for the photos. Which makes a lot of sense. This is Kim Kardashian we’re talking about. She didn’t take a Ray J dick on tape just to half-ass her way through life.

Lindsay Lohan flew to London last week to party with Prince Azim who paid her $100,000 to show up to his NYE event. She’s been in London ever since partying it up with her mom Dina. On Friday, reports had her partying late into the next morning until 5 am, starting the night at a private party at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and ending it at after-hours club Base.This wouldn’t be news if it wasn’t for the fact that she had to appear in court this morning for punching a woman in the face. An appearance she missed. Luckily for Lindsay, prosecutors delayed theproceedings. Her attorney Mark Heller was there and said she’s “a victim of someone trying to capture their 15 minutes of fame.”While Lindsay was off making terrible decisions yet again, Dina Lohan went to the press to explain why Lindsay is so screwed up. It’s because she saw her father, Michael, beat and rape Dina when she was a kid.In an interview, Dina claimed, “Lindsay saw her dad abuse me ? that?s why she?s so screwed up.” She alleged Michael Chris Brown’d her recounting the time in 1986 where he was driving drunk and high on coke. Dina describes eating at an upscale restaurant where Michael drank and snorted coke. While he was driving back, he “suddenly he started screaming, ?Get the f— out of the car!?” Then Michael punched her in the face leaving her with a bruise on her cheek underneath her right eye.Michael has a different version of events. He says he came home at 2 o’clock in the morning when Dina hit him in the head with an ice tray. That’s when he backhanded her. Regardless, neither versions of the story help Michael.Dina didn’t press charges because Michael was already going to jail.Dina also talked about the time Michael raped her when he tried to reconcile with her.?He said, ?I love you and I want to be with you,? but then it went dark. It went dark really quick,? said Dina.She said Michael Lohan raped her as her children slept.?[They] were sleeping, and I just knew I had to stay quiet ? I don?t want to wake them,? she said.When her parents came home later, they insisted Dina go to the hospital.According to Nassau County Hospital medical records, Dina did go to the ER to report a rape. She was examined by doctors and her clothes and other evidence was gathered in a rape kit.Again, Michael has his own version of the story. He says it was consensual and asked, “How can you rape a person when they?re on top of you?” He alleges Dina was just jealous because he had a girlfriend.Not like anyone needed any convincing that Lindsay Lohan is screwed up because of her parents. It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. Nor does it take one to realize Dina’s version of events may be closer to the truth than Michael’s. This is the same guy who kicked his girlfriend in the vaginaafter all. People who do that don’t have the best moral compasses.

Claire Danes is the February cover girl for Elle (US). I don?t really understand why she?s gotten a February cover though, unless she?s promoting her award nominations for the awards season. She doesn’t have any movies coming out and Homeland Season 2 ended last month, and Season 3 won?t begin until September or October! So it?s just like Claire got the cover because she just wants to remind people that she?s up for a Golden Globe and a SAG. You can see the Elle slideshow here, and here are some excerpts from the interview:
On her husband Hugh Dancy: “Hugh was just the right partner for me. I got very, very lucky? There’s only so much credit you can take when it just sort of works, you know? And obviously we work hard at maintaining our relationship — that is central to both our lives — but at the same time, it’s just this kind of ease that I can’t really account for.”
Meeting Pres. Obama, who is a huge Homeland fan: “Hugh was like, ‘We have to meet Obama,’ and we walked over before we could think and found ourselves shaking hands with him. Hugh realized that he’d forgotten to actually properly introduce himself, and [President Obama] was like, ‘And you are?’ And Hugh was like, ‘I’m sorry, Mr. President,’” Danes tells ELLE. “I said, ‘I’m Claire Danes,’ and he said, ‘Oh, you’re a fine actress.’ And I said, ‘You’re a fine president!’ And he said, ‘Oh, you’re a finer actress than I am president.’ I didn’t have any retort. Hugh and I went immediately to the bar and had a big shot of vodka.”
On teenagers growing up in Hollywood today: ?When I was younger, I was a little bit more restless, but there weren?t as many eyes. There weren?t as many tabloids or the number of cameras that everyone?s armed with. I feel huge sympathy for teenagers who have suddenly found themselves as public figures now, because it just sucks for them.?
On waiting to have children: ?I?ve always wanted to have kids, but I?m glad I didn?t until now. When I was thinking about [working and being a mother] originally, I was really nervous about it?I think I would make a lousy stay-at-home mom. It just wouldn?t suit me. I feel so fortunate, in that I?ve had this arrow-straight focus?that I wanted to act.?

Do you think it?s funny that Pres. Obama had no idea who Hugh was? Poor Hugh! I also think Claire?s comments about stay-at-home moms are kind of pointed, especially given the tabloid rumors that she might leave Homeland now that she?s a mom. It?s like Claire is saying, ?Leave a hit show? Are you cray? I LOVE TO WORK.?
Back to the Obama thing ? POTUS is a big Homeland fan, and I like that he complimented Claire on her (substantial) talent. But I still think Damian Lewis?s story about meeting Pres. Obama at a state dinner was way funnier.

Courteney Cox appeared in an interview to air on the Ellen Degeneres show today. (Video is here.) A lot of outlets are focusing on how Courtney called her ex, David Arquette, her “best friend in the world” and said that she appreciates him “now more than I ever did.” It was a nice reminder that not all Hollywood divorces are acrimonious. I just found myself sad for Courteney and David that they weren’t able to make it work.
The thing that struck me about the interview was how plastic Courteney looked. It’s true, there’s no way to skate around it. I don’t watch “Cougar Town” and I haven’t seen Courteney in motion in some time. On Ellen only Courteney’s lower lip moved, I swear. She also revealed that she recently had laser treatment on her hands to make them look younger. They were peeling from the treatment I guess and she was self conscious about it. She said the result should be worth it.
Courtney: “It’s called a dual fraxel. I always think my hands look old anyway. Now they literally look like a 95 year-old…. [afterwards] you look like a 21 year-old.”
Ellen: “Your hands and your elbows age faster than any part of your body. I don’t know why. But elbows and hands are horrible, aren’t they?”
Courtney: “Yeah, it’s a giveaway. Elbows, hands and necks… Those little fingerless gloves, I’m going to wear them in the summer.”
This just makes me wonder what she’s done to her face. Will it settle for her, or will she have to keep getting maintenance work? It sounds like she’s doing whatever it takes to look “younger,” but she’s just getting that homogeneous look that makes her real age impossible to tell. I want to have a little something done, I’ll admit it, but I’m so scared I’ll end up looking like a real housewife.
Courteney also said that she has a new condo closer to David’s house in order to co-parent with him. She has two dogs, a 9 and 10 year-old named Hopper and Harley who are both Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She told a weird story about how she had to buy a square of doggy grass to put on the balcony of her new place, and how she had to personally pee on it in order to get the dogs to go there. Ellen schooled Courteney that when the new doggy grass comes she can just pee in a jar inside and pour it on. The things people do for their pets.

This is a really big week for the awards season. Here are all of the things going down within the next seven days: New York Film Critics Awards (tonight), National Board of Review Awards (tomorrow), People?s Choice Awards (Wednesday), Critics Choice Awards (Thursday), the Oscar nomination announcements (also Thursday), then Golden Globe weekend, full of industry parties and the official start of everyone?s Oscar campaigns. This is all to prepare you for the onslaught. It?s going to be major.
So last night, Audi sponsored a ?kickoff cocktail party? for the Golden Globes, and only one of the potential (and likely) Oscar nominees showed up. The rest of the people were an assortment of famewhores and television actors. Amongst that group, Kate Bosworth was literally the most photographed person there. How? Why? I mean, I guess I understand. Better to invite The Bos to a ?kickoff cocktail party? than invite her to something that matters, like the actual Golden Globes. Of course, you wouldn?t know how unimportant this event is by the way she?s posing. This is her Oscar red carpet!! The Bos?s LBD is Emilio Pucci. And that?s her (somewhat creepy) fianc Michael Polish.
Kate just turned 30 years old last week, and Michael (who is 42!!!) helped her celebrate by getting this story into Us Weekly:
Kate Bosworth is a lucky gal. On Wednesday, Jan. 2, the Straw Dog star’s 30th birthday, Bosworth woke up to a gorgeous bouquet of roses and lilies from her fiance, Michael Polish, along with this sweet message:
“Happy Birthday to my #1 on the #2 day of 2013,” the 42-year-old director tweeted. “I love you.”
“What a beautiful way to start my bday!” the actress replied, along with a picture of her birthday blooms. “Thank you, Michael Polish.”
But flowers are just the beginning. An insider told Us Weekly that the blonde stunner’s beau has an even bigger surprise in store for his love of more than a year.
“Michael always wants to make Kate feel special and he can’t wait to celebrate her big day,” the source teased. “He’s completely crazy about her!”
The feeling is mutual. Engaged since summer, Bosworth told Us that even though she has yet to start planning her wedding to Polish, whom she met on the set of Big Sur, she’s got the most important detail down — the perfect groom.
“I’m not sure what I want [our wedding] to look like,” she said. “But I know the man, and that’s the only thing that matters.”

Poor Bos. She?s trying to drum interest in something ? anything! Would you like to hear about her birthday? No? Would you like to hear about her engagement? Would you like to hear about her wedding plans? She will tell you anything!! Anything except for news of her future projects, because her career is really faltering. The last movie she did was a Jason Statham action film, in which The Bos was cast lower than Winona Ryder. Burn!
PS? Bonus Naomi Watts & Liev Schreiber at the same event. I feel bad for Naomi if she felt like she had to share the red carpet with The Bos. Naomi is about a million times more talented than The Bos.

Heidi Klum covers the new issue of Marie Claire mag for the February issue. You can see the slideshow here ? it?s actually a really nice pictorial (despite the fact that they cut out part of her head on the cover!). Heidi?s red carpet style is kind of rough (IMO) because she seems to prefer showgirl-glam, and she often looks kind of cheap. But Marie Claire did a pictorial of Heidi in lots of black cocktail dresses and gowns, and all of a sudden I remembered WHY she was considered one of the best models in the world back in the day. As for the interview ? you can read an excerpt online here. MC sent us some highlights, and while many of the quotes are interesting and enlightening, Heidi apparently refused to discuss her relationship with Martin Kirsten (her bodyguard). Here are some highlights:
Heidi?s fantasy guest judge for Project Runway: Michelle Obama – “I don?t think we’ve ever had a first lady who is as cool and fashion-oriented as she is.?
On her mom, Erna: “She told me, ‘Don’t ever depend on a man,’” Klum says. “So I started making a living for myself when I was 18.”
A funny quote from Michael Kors, on filming the show with Heidi Klum and Nina Garcia: ?After going through three pregnancies with Heidi and two with Nina, I know more about maternity life than any man gay or straight has a right to. Maybe if I?m with someone for 15 or 20 years, and we do it in our old age as a fun thing to do?But I don?t have the urgency anymore.?
How people reacted to her first pregnancy: What others classify as problematic, Klum simply doesn’t. When she was 30 and pregnant by Italian race car magnate Flavio Briatore, her handlers were “freaking out,” saying, “I don’t know how the fashion industry will take you back after this.” For Klum, abortion wasn’t an option, and she walked the Victoria’s Secret runway show at four months along, with no one the wiser. “I thought, This is what is happening, and I’m going to embrace it,” she says. “I will figure it out, whatever comes my way.”

I have to admit, I like the way Heidi comes across in this piece. She seems wiser, more pragmatic, and like she?s in a better place these days. I also agree with her assessment of cougar relationships, because that?s how I feel about them personally ? I like looking at younger guys, and I think a younger guy might be fun (if he was into me), but at the end of the day? realism wins out. Just like Heidi, I don?t think I could deal with waking up next to a 25-year-old.

I?m already getting an ulcer from all of the preemptive shade you guys are going to throw at Kim Kardashian for this outfit. So let me just say? I would wear this. Judge away!! Yes, palazzo pants/wide-leg trousers are not for everyone, but doesn?t she look comfortable? I?d rather see her in this kind of outfit as opposed to some bizarre fishnet gown or leather jodhpurs or something. Anyway, these are new pics of Kim arriving in Miami. I?m not sure why she?s there or anything.
Some of you have tried to make some kind of conspiracy about Kim?s baby bump or lack thereof. Let?s be clear: I?m always down for a celebrity conspiracy theory, but let?s give it some time. Kim is not going Full Beyonce and claiming that a pasta gut is a third-trimester baby bump. Kim is allegedly three months pregnant, her boobs look bigger to me, and she seems to have gained some weight overall. Let?s give it a few months, and if she?s still the same size, then I?ll join you in some conspiratorial haven where no celebrity woman (besides Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Garner, apparently) actually gets pregnant.
Meanwhile, preparations have already begun for the pimping of the newest Kardashian. But TMZ reports that Kim and Kanye are hesitant about selling their baby photos!
PREPARE TO BE SHOCKED … unlike other celebs, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West turned down a chance to rake in some serious coin off their unborn child … rejecting a $3 million tabloid offer for the baby’s first pics.
Sources close to K&K tell TMZ … the couple has been flooded with lucrative deals from magazines clamoring to score baby Kimye’s coveted first photos, with offers ranging as high as several million. We’re told the $3 million offer was from an overseas tabloid.
So far, no cigar. Our sources say the couple has no plans to sell the pics to ANYONE … right now.
We’re told they’re aware public demand will only increase over time — and still might consider offers in the future.
It’s a pretty surprising move nonetheless, considering it’s become S.O.P. in Hollywood to cash in post-baby-birth …
– Brad & Angelina: $4.1 million for Shiloh in 2006. $14 million for their twins in 2008.
– J.Lo & Marc Anthony: $6 million for their twins.
– Matthew McConaughey: $3 million for his son.
– Christina Aguilera: $1.5 million for her baby.
– Jessica Alba: $1.5 million … the list goes on.
As TMZ first reported … Kim and Kanye also nixed the idea of their baby guest starring on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” — except while he/she is in Kim’s belly.

Well, if they don?t sell the baby photos, that?s fine. It?s not like it would be ?proof? that they aren?t famewhores or anything. But I think they?ll totally sell the baby photos, they?re just waiting until Kim is further along, and magazines can better gauge the interest in seeing the first photos of their baby. And I?ll admit it ? I wouldn?t mind seeing Kim and Kanye?s baby on the cover of People Magazine or Us Weekly. But that stuff has never bothered me in general.

We don?t often get new photos of Mary-Kate Olsen and her French lovah Olivier Sarkozy, and maybe that?s a good thing. I know a lot of you are grossed out by them ? MK is 26 years old, and she still looks 16. Olivier is either 42 or 43. He?s already a father of two kids (aged 9 and 11), and he?s already divorced. He and MK have been together since May 2012. And you know what? I kind of love them together. Yes, they?re gross and it looks like a father and daughter and he?s so tall and she?s so petite? but I?m sort of enjoying the grossness. It?s making me laugh.
Anyway, these are new pics of MK and Olivier (he actually goes by Oliver in America) at Roissy airport in Paris. They were waiting for a flight. MK was smoking some cigs outside, and then she seemed to be mimicking a beej while they waited inside. Olivier seems to be giving the paparazzo a knowing look, like, ?Eh, she?s 26 years old and she has her face in my lap, vive la France!?
You know what I didn?t realize before today? I didn?t know that Olivier is some kind of major figure in the financial/banking world ? go here to see his Wiki. He?s been based in NYC for a while, so it?s pretty much like MK Olsen, a very wealthy woman and the co-designer of some of the most talked-about fashion labels of the decade, is dating some random banking executive. Do you think they?ll get married? I think they?ll get married.

If she?s not careful, Duchess Kate will just work her little fingers to the bone! Haha. No, just kidding. Kate did something nice for one of her (few) charities, and Kate?s press office dutifully pushed a press release about it. What was the ?nice? thing? Kate ?managed to donate a baby hamper? for a charity auction for EACH (East Anglia?s Children?s Hospices). It?s nice. It?s not, like, the most groundbreaking and amazing charitable gift anyone has ever offered, but that?s fine. My problem is not that Kate donated something nice for a charity. My problem is with how the press and the band of royal sycophants treats her nice deed.
Kate Middleton hasn’t had an easy pregnancy, but she knows other parents have it far worse. And as a mother-to-be herself, she wants to help.
After announcing on Dec. 3 that she and husband Prince William, both 30, were expecting their first child, the Duchess quietly reached out to East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH), a charity that offers assistance for the loved ones of young people with serious, life-threatening diseases. (Her Royal Highness became a patron of the organization in January 2011.)
Despite being hospitalized at the time with hyperemesis gravidarum — a rare condition that can cause severe morning sickness, weight loss, dehydration, and fainting — Middleton managed to donate a baby hamper for EACH’s annual charity auction. According to the foundation’s website, EACH needs to raise more than 5.75 million pounds in public donations to deliver its services.
“EACH is invaluable to hundreds of families. In the past year there has been an unprecedented amount of care and support delivered to children and young people with life-threatening illnesses, and their families,” the mom-to-be says in a statement on the auction’s page online.
“I have been fortunate enough to meet some of those who have been supported by EACH, and seen firsthand the positive impact this organization has on their lives,” she continues. “For both families accessing care, and those who have been bereaved, EACH is a lifeline at an unimaginably difficult time.”
The pregnant Duchess has her own lifelines in her husband and in the couple’s families, who supported her through her recent illness and hospitalization.
Since returning home in early December, the first-time mom-to-be has been taking it relatively easy. On Christmas day, she and William skipped Queen Elizabeth’s annual gathering at Sandringham in favor of a more low-key celebration with Middleton’s parents and siblings in Bucklebury. They later joined the royal family for the traditional Boxing Day festivities on Dec. 26.

I?m sure there will be a lot of bids and the hamper will probably bring in a lot of money, and more people will become aware of the charity auction, which is a great thing. This made me wonder though? I wonder how much baby stuff is being sent to Will & Kate these days? Kate has always made it a priority that she doesn?t accept freebies or discounts, but I do wonder if they aren?t making an exception for all of the free baby stuff they?re getting from companies who want the newborn prince or princess to be seen wearing their products. It would be interesting if Kate and Will decide to donate all of that stuff too.

It looks very much like an eight-bedroom mansion to me, but sure, a ?cottage?. The cottage is called Anmer Hall, and it?s part of the Queen?s extensive Sandringham estate, which means that Will and Kate will have absolutely no excuse to NOT come to Sandringham for future Christmases. So this will probably be one of Kate and Will?s many ?country estates? outside of London. Word is that the Queen and/or Charles will be getting them a Scottish estate too.
And the other story ? Kate?s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, are being criticized yet again for seeming to ?profit? from their royal connection. The Middleton company, Party Pieces, is currently selling ?Little Princess? and ?Little Prince? birthday party supplies and kits. Eh. It doesn?t offend me because? Party Pieces has always sold tacky knickknacks which often have some kind of royal flair. The Middletons profit from their daughter?s marriage in many, many ways, and in this particular case, I think people are making a mountain out of a molehill.

Here are some new photos of Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes arriving at LAX on Friday after they ended their magical Cabo vacation with the paparazzi. As we discussed last week, Radar has started calling LeAnn out on her BS in a big way, which includes stories about how LeAnn arranges for paparazzi to photograph her at certain times ? like, say, when she?s wearing a bikini on vacation with Eddie. So is it any surprise that upon their arrival at LAX, they were flat-out swarmed by paparazzi? I have to say ? I doubt LeAnn called these guys. It?s much more likely that the paps were just staked out at the airport because lots of celebrities were due to be arriving from their holiday vacations. That didn?t stop LeAnn from tweeting about it like she?s the same as Brangelina, of course. Here?s the series of LeAnn?s tweets on Friday: ?Leave it to me to catch a stomach bug and have to get the biggest shot ever! Hurt so bad!!!… Omg coming into the airport tonight was terrifying. Not fun traveling sick!!… Good times at the airport…. WTH?! Lil scary.? It?s interesting when LeAnn gets ?sick? isn?t it?

In the latest bizarre salvo in Brandi Glanville’s battle with her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian and his new wife LeAnn Rimes, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has given away her wedding gown from the ill-fated marriage!
The blonde beauty says she was making a fresh start and cleaning out her closet, ditching the strapless white symbol of the failed marriage. Glanville, whose former spouse Cibrian left her for country star Rimes, tweeted on Saturday, “I donated my wedding gown to a soon to be army wife& I still havent heard about who received it! Well I hope it make someone very happy”
As RadarOnline.com has reported, Glanville’s marriage to Cibrian didn’t make HER happy at all! And Glanville has been involved in a Twitter war for months with Rimes, whom he married in 2011.
Much of the conflict has centered around Glanville and Cibrian’s sons Mason, 9, and Jake, 5, who spend time in both households. Glanville has been a fierce mama bear regarding issues involving the boys. And after dropping the bomb to her Twitter followers about her wedding dress giveaway, Glanville showed how much she relished her time with them, tweeting, “Attempting to clean the old toys out of our playroom and all of a sudden the boys love toys they haven’t touched in ages!”

Eh, it makes sense to me that she would donate her wedding gown. But? I?m so superstitious, I probably wouldn?t wear someone?s wedding gown where the marriage ended in a hyper-dramatic divorce? it?s just seems like bad juju. Also, I can?t wait to see LeAnn?s series of tweets about how she too is cleaning out her closets.
