Vin Diesel decided to not show up to a day-long junket for his new Fast & Furious 4 film. Any attempts to reach him were ignored. It was only when an exec from Universal contacted him that he picked up. Diesel used the “I’m sick” excuse and ended up arriving four hours late to do two hours of press. Witnesses say he “didn’t even look sick.”
As a direct result, Diesel’s publicist at 42 West say they no longer represent him. As they should. Vin Diesel’s last big “hit” was The Pacifier in 2005. Being a diva is only tolerated if your movie is pulling insane numbers at the box office. As it stands, the only thing Diesel should be getting away with is using a lower grade wax on the director’s car. Although, even that might be pushing it.

Lisa Rinna needs a job. I mean REALLY needs one. She?s so desperate that she?s resorted to wearing a sandwich board to get one. Lisa and her lips were out on Melrose Avenue yesterday wearing a sign that said, ?HONK FOR Lisa Rinna ON THE NEW MELROSE PLACE!? She was joined by Ross ?The Intern? Matthews, who at least had the dignity to hold his ?HONK IF YOU HEART LISA? and ?VOTE FOR HER? signs instead of wearing it lunchtime style.
I had an idea that Lisa Rinna wanted to be on The CW’s “Melrose Place” reboot. After all, she told PopWrap back in January, “I’d be the first to do it [the 'Melrose Place' reboot], but they always want the people who don’t want to do it! I’m like, ‘I’ll do it! I’ll do it! Please call me!’”
But Lisa took stumping to new levels today as she stood at the nexus of the universe — more specifically, the corners of Melrose Avenue and Melrose Place — waving signs that said, “Honk for Lisa Rinna on the new ‘Melrose Place!’”
Fans — and photogs — came out in full force, so if the “Melrose Place” producers didn’t know Lisa was interested before, they certainly do now!

Well, it?s a tough economy. I like to give Lisa a lot of shit for her lips (they make me angry), but I don?t really feel I can criticize anyone for being proactive. It?s cheesy as heck, but I have to admit I appreciate her plucky spirit.
In other ?Melrose Place? news, Heather Locklear will not be joining the new cast.
One person who won’t be moving back into Melrose Place? Heather Locklear. The actress — who played the key role of Amanda Woodward on the original series — has turned down an offer to join the cast of the CW’s update of the hit Fox serial, EW has learned. “There wasn’t a way to bring her back that made sense,” says a source close to the situation. While the network and studio won’t comment, her reps do confirm that Locklear has passed. It’s no secret that the CW was aggressively pursuing Locklear and will likely want to secure another star from the original show. The reboot, which is slated for the fall, has already cast Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Jessica Lucas, Michael Rady, and Katie Cassidy.

I?m starting to slightly root for Lisa Rinna. All the other old ?Melrose? stars are passing ? yet she desperately wants to be on the show. It?s sort of nice that she?s not too big for her britches. I say bring her back, what could it hurt? Sure, they?ll have to get a wide-angle lens for her lips, but that can be done easily enough.

Adorable wee elfling Christina Ricci is engaged to her Gigantor boyfriend Owen Benjamin, her rep confirmed Tuesday. The 5?1? Ricci met the 6?6? Benjamin last year on the set of their film All’s Faire in Love, and they began dating last fall. Ricci is 29, and Benjamin’s age seems to be a complete mystery, as I couldn’t find it anywhere in my extra diligent 14-second Google search (I am a research warrior!).
I hope they have a horde of children, in a progressive series of alternating height extremes, and then start their own traveling family sideshow. With costumes. Sequinned costumes.

Justin Timberlake really is proving himself to be quite the Renaissance Man ? at least when it comes to entertainment and business. He successfully transitioned from a boy band to a musically respected pop star. He opened up two restaurants in Manhattan, Southern Hospitality and Destino, that have both managed to do well. His clothing line, William Rast, is hugely successful. So what?s left for him to do? Tequila. Not a shot of it ? Timberlake is coming up with his own brand.
Justin Timberlake has something new to toast: The singer and budding businessman is launching a new brand of tequila named 901.
In development for more than two years, the liquor will hit store shelves in early May in New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and St. Louis.
The reason behind the numeric name? ?901 is that time of night when your evening is ending, but your night is just beginning. It is also a subtle nod to his hometown,? says the singer’s spokesperson, referring to the area code for Memphis, where Timberlake grew up.
The new venture is the latest addition to Timberlake?s growing business portfolio, which includes the fashion line William Rast and the music label Tennman.

According to the New York Post, Timberlake isn?t merely slapping his stamp of approval on the tequila. He actually did (presumably fun) research for its development.
Justin Timberlake is expanding his brand. The pop star, “SNL” regular guest and clothing designer has added tequila to his growing list of interests. Timberlake recently toured a Mexican distillery where he was caught on video tasting tequilas. A spokeswoman for the star confirms, “This was one of his many meetings over the last two years in development of his tequila business.”

All of Justin?s other ventures have proven successful, so I?m sure 901 will too. He?s just got that golden touch. He?s certainly not the first big name celebrity to push hard alcohol. Diddy has a $100 million deal to promote Ciroc vodka ? which he didn?t even create. He?s just giving it his stamp of approval and posing for ads. If Justin?s tequila does well, I can?t even imagine how much he could make from it.
I hate it when celebs let someone else do all the work and then slap their names on it. But in Justin?s case it seems like he?s always the head honcho on his business projects, and no matter what he?s doing, he does well at it. And now he can do all those things while drinking tequila. Even better.

Vin Diesel was on the cusp of becoming a mega star when his career suddenly tanked. He walked away from the “Fast and the Furious” franchise that made him famous, then did the same for the “XXX” movies. After a few disastrous films, including a turn in a Disney movie, Diesel returned to his roots with a new “Fast and Furious” sequel - but don’t expect a big star like Vin to actually show up on time to his press interviews or anything.
Vin Diesel is such a prima donna, his own publicity company can’t even deal with him anymore.
Diesel was scheduled to do a long press junket for his upcoming flick Fast & Furious on Sunday, but he infuriated the event organizers when he decided to show up late and act like a diva.
“No one could get a hold of him,” an insider told Page Six. “He didn’t pick up his phone and it wasn’t until a Universal executive called that he finally picked up and used the lame excuse, ‘I’m sick.’ ”
Four hours later he showed up to the press junket and “didn’t look sick. But he did do a couple hours of press.”
Apparently his publicist at 42 West was so annoyed by the incident, the firm no longer represents him.
You would think someone like Diesel, whose star is quickly burning out, would be more open to doing press and getting better recognition, but it sounds like his ego has become bigger than his triceps.

When will these stars learn? Have the new generation of actors learned nothing from Mickey Rourke’s career? Vin Diesel is nowhere near talented enough to get away with this crap. He should be thankful that anyone even remembers him anymore. But all that aside, this new movie will probably -sadly- do well at the box office. Which will only reinforce his large ego! Hey, I wonder if Vin took Dr. Drew’s narcissism quiz?

Bruce Willis has always seemed like a pretty decent guy. He?s only been married once (to Demi Moore), and after they divorced they?ve maintained a really beautiful, kind, generous friendship and love. They shared custody of their three daughters, and Bruce even manned up and embraced Demi?s husband Ashton Kutcher with open arms.
Post-divorce, Bruce has always had a type for his girlfriends. Beautiful, young, and not too famous. After Demi, I think the most famous woman he ever dated was model/actress Brooke Burns. There were engagement rumors about Bruce and Brooke too, but they never panned out. Now People Magazine is asking if Bruce is ready to tie the knot with his current squeeze, model Emma Heming:

According to a source, the actor and his girlfriend, model Emma Heming, are planning an intimate wedding this week in Turks & Caicos where the actor owns a home.
As rumors of possible nuptials have surfaced online, Willis’s ex-wife Demi Moore and her husband, Ashton Kutcher ? who both maintain a close friendship with Willis ? arrived on the island Saturday, according to another source.
Meanwhile, according to an island source a block of ocean view rooms and private villas have been reserved for Willis’s guests at a hotel near the actor’s home.
There is also another reason for Willis to celebrate: The actor, who has been dating Heming, 32, since last year, will turn 54 on Thursday.
Willis’s rep had no comment.

That Turks & Caicos home is somewhat famous at this point. After Bruce lent the house to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner for their shotgun wedding, the home has been the site of many alleged celebrity nuptials. So will Bruce finally get hitched again? Emma is only 32 years old… but I could totally see it. And part of me thinks that People Magazine wouldn?t have brought it up unless they have a well-placed source. Rumor Willis, perchance?

From the time she popped out Suri, tabloids have been speculating that Katie Holmes was pregnant again. Now OK! claims she really is ? and since the tot is almost three years old, it seems a more reasonable possibility. OK! says they have a confirmation from a family friend, and coupled with Katie?s slightly fuller figure and ?undeniable? glow, that?s practically a positive pregnancy test in hand.
Her face is fuller and she radiates an undeniable glow. Now, after weeks of speculation, sources tell OK! that Katie Holmes is expecting baby #2 with hubby Tom Cruise!
“They are deliriously happy that Suri will be a big sister,” one family friend says. Adds another source, “They’ve always planned on expanding their family. They’re over the moon.”
The new addition, however, remains a secret. Katie, 30, and Tom, 46, have shared the news with only a small group of friends and family, preferring to wait until she’s at least three months along before going public.
But many observers have already noticed some signals, in particular when the Cruises appeared at the March 11 Tokyo premiere of Tom’s movie Valkyrie. Katie looked stunning in a Jason Wu dress and billowing hair extensions.

Hmmm?. I?m not sure that billowing hair extensions are a traditional sign of motherhood. Maybe in Hollywood. This still sounds like it?s mostly speculation to me. A family friend could be anyone. I wonder what kind of proof OK requires from their sources. Still, it would be a good time for Tom and Katie to have another baby. Their kids would have a little over a three-and-a-half year age difference, which is good.
A baby would work into their schedules well too. According to IMDB Katie only has one upcoming project in the next year and Tom doesn?t have anything listed. Probably because he?ll be promoting ?Valkyrie? until the end of time. I don?t want to jump on the baby bump bandwagon just yet, but I?m definitely more inclined to believe Katie?s pregnant now than during past reports.

How much do you think Britney’s life story is worth? Lindsay Lohan is rumored to have been paid $2million for her 22 year old story, Miley Cyrus got paid $4million for her tale of 16 years. Britney, at 27, has arguably had a much more interesting life, although perhaps her biography would be worth less since her mother sold a reasonable portion of the tale in her book Through the Storm. However, for Britney, $3million isn’t enough.
The singer summoned publishing bosses to her California home shortly before she embarked on her Circus tour, to discuss a big money memoirs deal to share her life with fans, reports Us Weekly magazine.
But Spears rejected multi-million dollar offers from executives at publishing houses HarperCollins, Random House and Little Brown, because they were a lot less than she expected.
According to insiders, Spears is seeking a figure closer to $8 million.
A source tells Us Weekly, “She was hoping for much more money.”

I understand that she wants more money - this is the biggest exclusive ever, telling the whole, unadulterated truth about her teenage sex life (Justin Timberlake watch out!), her rise to fame, her pushy parents, her marriage, her teenage sister’s pregnancy, her mental breakdown and her comeback. Frankly, she could probably make $3million from selling just a portion of that story to People. If Miley Cyrus can get paid $4mil to whinge about how the public perceive her relationship with her father, surely Britney should get more than that, even if she isn’t technically writing it and is working with a ghost author.
I’d buy the Britney authorized biography - I want to know, if nothing else, what possessed her to wear that tunic top with no pants.

Remember when Chris Brown punched, choked and kicked Rihanna? Apparently that was enough bring about a temporary break between the two. Oh, I know. So extreme, right? E! says it’s not a formal break-up, but the two have decided to put some space between themselves. Preferably an arm’s length worth of space for Rihanna.
Last Thursday, Rihanna flew to New York City, where she, Brandy, Beyonc and Jay-Z reportedly enjoyed a quiet dinner together at the Spotted Pig Friday night. Then on Saturday night, she dined with friends at Da Silvano.
Meanwhile, Brown has remained in Los Angeles. Sources tell E! News that the “Kiss Kiss” singer has spent the entire time working on his album, most recently at the Record Plant in Hollywood.
“He’s just putting ideas down for some songs he wrote,” says a Brown source. “He needs to feel like he’s moving forward.”
In all fairness to Chris, he did his time. At Diddy’s mansion. Riding his jet ski. What more do you expect him to do? Get on his knees in beg? Don’t you think that’s a little much? All he did was bite her ear and send her to the hospital. It’s not like he killed her dog? Did he? I don’t think so. Stop being so hard on the guy. Rihanna wasn’t the only one injured in that fight, you know. Chris Brown was too. Well, his fist hurt for, like, thirty minutes after, but it was an intense and alarming pain such as when you stub your toe. Still, you don’t see anyone going up to Chris and asking if he was alright or taking photographs of his injuries. Mostly because he fled the scene before cops arrived, but still, you get the point.
