Stepping out for a fun-filled evening, Hilary Swank was spotted at the Broadway opening of ?On a Clear Day You Can See Forever? last night (December 11).
Joined by fellow actress Mariska Hargitay, the ?Boys Don?t Cry? babe was all smiles in an orange top and white skirt as she posed outside the St. James Theatre in New York City.
Over the weekend, Hilary?s new flick ?New Year?s Eve? opened in theaters nationwide, scoring $13.7 million in total ticket sales.
In a recent interview, Ms. Swank explained that films like ?New Year?s Eve? are intimidating to her, and she has to psych herself up for the challenge.
?I go after the things the way that I do because I am scared. I go gung-ho and dive in because it?s my way to be prepared, physically and mentally. My fear control mechanism is to be overly prepared.?

According to Page Six, Weight Watchers, tired of looking at fat Jessica like the rest of us, has promised to pay Jessica $3 million to lose the baby weight. ?The deal is in place, and after having her baby, she?ll start with Weight Watchers to lose her baby weight.?
Finally. Jessica might eventually get back down to her awesome skinny days. Too bad it had to take a hefty (giggle)sum to convince her.

An unretouched photo of Lindsay Lohan at her Playboy photoshoot hit the interwebs this weekend, clearly reinforcing my belief that everything in Playboy is really ninety percent photoshop wizardry. And speaking of wizards, Lindsay Lohan is a fucking dumbass. Case in point (via TMZ):
Lindsay Lohan’s purse [containing her] passport, important probation docs, and [ten thousand dollars in] cash was stolen last night from a Hawaii house party.
One of her friend’s eyed a suspicious-looking local, and asked if he knew where the bag was. The local denied everything, but showed up with the bag minutes later… claiming he found it on the street.
Lindsay was so ecstatic to have the bag back, she didn’t bother asking questions — despite the missing $10,000.
Who other than drug dealers carries ten thousand dollars on their fucking person? I was gonna say “who other than black people carries ten thousand dollars on their fucking person,” but I thought that sounded racist. So I went with “drug dealers” because that covers that base without me actually having to say it. You’re the racist for thinking it.

Here are some more photos of Ryan Gosling on the set of Gangster Squad to update from the last batch. He’s a pretty handsome guy, and I can definitely see what all the fuss is about even if he doesn’t really float my boat. I think it goes back not so much to watching him on “Mickey Mouse Club” (because I didn’t really watch much Disney in my own youth) but more of memories from his stint on “Breaker High.” To me, he still looks like the same young pseudo punk, and there’s still too much “eau de faking it” to be found in Gosling’s demeanor. Sure, he’s a fine actor and looks great in motion, but I can’t help but feel uneasy when checking out these freeze frame shots like he’s trying to pull a fast one on the entirety of the world:
Maybe it’s just me though or perhaps it’s the whole nice guy who does ballet and just wants to find The One while he simultaneously tries to hide his DUI past and lets his bad dog pee in the corner at yoga class routine. It just bugs, you know? Here’s more of Ryan with co-star Josh Brolin, who is a legitimate badass (not necesarily a good thing in real life either) and looks completely natural in these shots:
At the moment, however, Ryan is promoting something besides Gangster Squad, which is still filming. Maybe he’s kickstarting his own personal Oscar campaign or thinking of dumping Eva Mendes and taking some other chick to Disneyland. No telling what he’s up to really, but Ryan has dredged up his 2004 turn in The Notebook (the adaptation of yet another schmaltzy Nicholas Sparks novel). Ryan wants us all to know that he wasn’t cast for his good looks; on the contrary, he asserts that the role arrived courtesy of his “regular guy” nature and the fact that he is neither “handsome” or “cool.” Um, okay:
Millions of women and men would disagree with director Nick Cassavetes — who cast a then-unknown Ryan Gosling in The Notebook because, well, he wasn’t that cute.
Now one of the most sought-after hunks in Hollywood, the Drive actor, 31, was just a Mickey Mouse Club alum and indie movie actor when Cassavetes was casting for his now-beloved 2004 romantic film.
“The director, Nick Cassavetes, called me to meet him at his house,” Gosling tells British magazine Company. “When I got there, he was standing in his back yard, and he looked at me and said, ‘I want you to play this role because you’re not like the other young actors out there in Hollywood. You’re not handsome. you’re not cool, you’re just a regular guy who looks a bit nuts.’”
Gosling went on to star in the smash film opposite fellow Canadian Rachel McAdams — whom he dated and was briefly engaged to.
And despite his leading man status today, Gosling tells the mag he grew up a “lonely child. I didn’t do well at school and TV was my only friend.”
It was watching the small screen that inspired him to go Hollywood himself. “Then, one day, I saw Raquel Welch on The Muppet Show. She was dancing with this big furry spider and I immediately fell in love. She was the first crush I ever had, and I thought, ‘How do I get to meet this woman?’ And then I thought, ‘Well, she’s on TV, so to meet her I have to get on TV myself.’”

So basically, Ryan is pushing the image of being a lonely child and an ugly duckling that was pushed out of his shell after becoming enraptured with the likes of Raquel Welch, who is completely gorgeous and a very glamorous sex symbol in her own right. Yet she’s not the typical crush for a budding young actor, right? Hmm.

These are photos from last Friday?s grand opening of the Apple Store at Grand Central Station in NYC. Blake Lively was there – because she?s an Apple girl? Can we talk about her coat for a minute? I would like to see a version of the coat without the Christmas-tree skirt draped around her shoulders. What?s that? THAT is part of the design of the coat?!? Hideous. But I guess we should praise Blake for being covered up – she hardly ever wears this much.
In other Blake news, she and Ryan Reynolds just got pap?d together. AGAIN. You can see the ?morning after? photo here – Blake and Ryan in NYC, with coffee and hats. I know Lainey is always asking ?How does she DO that?? but the single most amazing thing about Blake?s game is that she ends up with the guys who are notoriously private, the dudes who are rarely – if ever – photographed with their ladies. And then when they get with Blake, suddenly their affair is all for general consumption, they get pap?d in intimate outings, with astounding frequency. That happened when Blake was with Leo, and now it?s happening with Ryan Reynolds, who is usually way more locked down. And now the ?happy, happy couple? tabloid reports begin. It’s holiday time in the city, and Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are making the most of it ? criss-crossing Manhattan on Saturday for a double-date breakfast on the Lower East Side and coffee in the West Village.
The couple, who’ve been heating up as the temperatures drop, joined Lively’s sister Robin and her husband for breakfast at one of Blake’s favorite restaurants in the city, the Stanton Social.
The couple shared a breakfast of doughnuts, tacos de huevos, bacon-egg-and-cheese biscuits, pierogies and muffins. They were very cuddly, giggling and leaning on each other in the booth.
In addition, the new couple hit up coffee shop Mojo on Charles Street in the West Village. They were touchy-feely, with Reynolds, 35, dressed in checked slacks, Chucks and a henley layered under a sweater, and Lively, 24, wearing a curve-hugging charcoal shift, netted tights and boots. Lively chatted with patrons as she waited for her coffee, even introducing herself to one. The Gossip Girl star also seemed taken with a piece of art that looked like a collage of gumballs, snapping a pic on her iPhone.

Sigh? that?s a lot of breakfast, right? That?s a lot of carbs. I?m not sure that I buy that Blake eats doughnuts and muffins and biscuits and pierogies and all of that. But maybe Ryan likes girls that eat. And Blake is changing for him! Sigh?

Paying a visit to NBC Studios to promote her upcoming family dramedy "We Bought a Zoo," Scarlett Johansson was one of the celebrity guests appearing on the "Today" show on Monday (December 12).
Looking beautiful in blue, the 27-year-old actress sat down for a candid interview with host Matt Lauer while talking about her film, as well as her divorce from Ryan Reynolds and much-talked-about nude photo scandal.
Of making it through the 2011 turmoil, Scarlett said, "I've been really fortunate. I've found that even in times of crisis I've had a lot of love around me and people have come out of all different dark corners to support (me) and that's a really beautiful thing."
With the full interview below, Johansson added, "I think I've also learned to be much more tolerant and much more patient."

It was a full house at last night?s ?CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute? and Miley Cyrus had the honor of taking the stage for a special performance.
Just before Robin Lim was named ?Hero of the Year,? the teen sensation performed a stirring rendition of her hit song ?The Climb.?
Along with her impressive performance, Miss Cyrus also presented a ?Young Wonder? award in memory of 9-year-old Rachel Beckwith, who died tragically in a car accident, but had inspired thousands to donate to ?charity:water? before her passing.
Miley was joined at the event by hunky beau Liam Hemsworth, with the two looking as happy as ever as they smiled for the cameras and spoke with press throughout the night.

They all went to a ?Cookies 4 Kids? events which benefited a cancer charity, and then they went to the Malibu Country Mart or something. Throughout the whole outing, LeAnn, Eddie and the kids got pap?d. It?s been happening more and more when LeAnn is around the kids, but I suspect this photo shoot was a set-up specifically because Brandi Glanville and Eddie are in the midst of custody disagreement regarding the kids? It?s pretty clear that Eddie (and LeAnn) are leaking certain pieces of information about Brandi and their ongoing custody drama.

Back in September, Kate Winslet seemed to become instantly enamored with Richard Branson?s nephew, Ned RocknRoll. Ned was married at the time, but likely estranged from his (rich) wife. Kate was actually ?with? Louis Dowler at the time too – Kate and Louis had been on and off for more than a year, but were seemingly loved up just a few weeks before Kate and Ned made their debut as a couple. It seems more and more like Kate and Ned had that ?thunderbolt? moment and they both dumped their partners very quickly. Now Louis Dowler is speaking out about how brutally Kate treated him, although he doesn?t really go into details or a specific timeline. It?s interesting though:
Nearly three months after he was unceremoniously dumped by Kate Winslet when she took up with Richard Branson?s party-loving nephew, her former love is still coming to terms with the break-up ? and the way he was so brutally discarded.
Speaking publicly for the first time since he was abandoned by the Oscar-winning actress, male model Louis Dowler, 35, says: ?I don?t think Kate behaved well and it is still very raw for me.?
Famous for her own emotional performances at award ceremonies, Kate, 35, left Dowler close to tears after they went on what should have been a romantic trip to Branson?s Caribbean hideaway on Necker Island this summer. Instead, it was a disaster. While Kate was hailed a hero for rescuing Sir Richard?s mother, Eve, from the fire which engulfed the luxurious retreat, Louis was devastated when the trip ended with the actress flying to New York with Ned Abel Smith.
?I was in love with her and you can?t switch that off overnight,? Dowler tells me. ?I?m not sure Kate treated me well.?
For his part Abel Smith, who eccentrically changed his name by deed poll some years ago to Ned RocknRoll, subsequently informed his wife, Eliza Pearson, 23, the sweet-natured daughter of multi-millionaire Viscount Cowdray, that he had fallen for the Titantic star.
While Eliza took it on the chin, Louis is still struggling with what happened.
?Kate came home with me to Cornwall and we just hung out together. She met my parents and family,? he says. ?I thought we were inseparable. I certainly haven?t found anyone else since.?
The Burberry model says that at first he was blissfully happy with Kate when they met after her split from film director husband Sam Mendes, spending time at her 2.5?million New York apartment.
Louis, who was at a party for the Omega boutique at the new Westfield shopping centre in East London, adds: ?I don?t want to go into details but it wasn?t a straightforward break-up. I?m a laid-back guy, so I am not walking around with a long face ? but I do still hold a torch for her.?

Apparently Louis didn?t know what I knew just from looking at photos – that Kate just wanted to be with some pretty and uncomplicated, a “just-for-now dong” and when someone ?better? came along, she was going to dump Louis. Finally back home to get some much-deserved rest, Britney Spears touched down at LAX airport in Los Angeles, CA on Sunday afternoon (December 11).
Clad in an all-white ensemble, the "Hold It Against Me" singer was accompanied by boyfriend Jason Trawick and her two sons, Sean and Jayden, after a long flight from Puerto Rico.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Miss Spears is fresh off of closing out her 79 concert Femme Fatale world tour - with the final show taking place in San Juan.
After the gig's end, Britney thanked all those who bought tickets and helped make the lengthy string of performances happen.
She kicked off her gratitude-filled tweets by saying, "That's a wrap! The Femme Fatale tour is officially over :( Gotta give some end of tour shout outs?"
"To all my dancers - u all are basically family. Thx so much for an unforgettable year!," Britney gushed, adding, "To every single INCREDIBLE person on my crew - none of this would of been possible without you. I'm gonna miss u!"
To close out her appreciative tweets, Spears thanked all those who came out to her many shows, writing, "And last but DEFINITELY not least - to all of the amazing fans who I saw on this journey around the world. <3 u all."
