Kaley Cuoco has been doing the talkshow circuit to promote the new season of The Big Bang Theory, the tenth season of which premieres this Monday. The Big Bang Theory is the second most popular show on television with over 20 million viewers and only lags behind Sunday Night Football in the ratings. (It’s unknown how long it will continue, but given how popular it is I would say it’s got at least two more seasons, but we’ll see.) When asked about the future of the show, Kaley, who makes a reported million an episode, said last week that was “an expensive question.” It’s thought that the other female actresses, Melissa Rauch and Mayim Bialik, earn about $100k an episode while the male actors make at least $750k, with Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki each making the same as Kaley, $1 million. So there’s a lot of money involved, and I would hope that Rauch and Bialik are going to be paid commensurate with the other male actors.
Getting back to Kaley, we know she’s been dating a new guy for about seven months, which is longer than it took her to marry her last husband. She’s been dating a 25 year-old equestrian named Karl Cook and she’s thought to be living with him and to be hoping he proposes. She’s been posting plenty of photos with Karl on Instagram, and even one in which she was wearing an engagement ring, which she later clarified was a ring she was wearing as her Big Bang character, Penny. She knew exactly what she was doing by posting that photo with the ring though. Anyway in a new interview with The View, Kaley gushed about Karl and how it was meant to be.
The Big Bang Theory star gushed about her professional equestrian boyfriend Karl Cook during a sit-down on The Talk on Thursday and said of being with her new beau, “I’m so happy. I can’t stop smiling. Life is so so good.”
“We met at a horse show. I finally found my horse guy,” Cuoco, 30, said of Cook. “It was very meant to be.”
The horse and animal advocate, whose divorce to tennis player Ryan Sweeting was finalized in May, complimented her boyfriend’s equestrian skills: “He’s an amazing, amazing rider and jumper, amazing equestrian and a great human. We share our passion for horses and dogs and all that and it’s been lovely, so I’m so happy.”
“I think even when I went through my big breakup ? even my friends that know me so well ? I might have said things like, ‘I’m never going to love again. I’m never going to get married again.’ You say these things. But the people that know you best, they know my heart and that’s just not me,” Cuoco said of finding love again post-divorce. “I wear my heart on my sleeve. I knew even deep down, I know this is just not the right thing. The right thing is coming for me, I knew it, I knew it, I knew it.”
With a BBT season 10 premiere date set for Sept. 19 on CBS, the series’ star is grateful that she “got through” her divorce and found love again.
“We all go through these things, but a lot of people don’t see everyone’s personal life played out ? I mean you guys understand ? so a lot of people go through this stuff on their own and I’m just glad that I got through it,” she said. “I couldn’t be happier. It’s like I saw the light somehow.”

Kaley is that woman who can never be alone. She’s the friend who always wants to hang out and have you listen to her problems when she’s alone for a month or two, who always forgets whatever you tell her about your own life, and then immediately ditches you the weekend she gets a new boyfriend because he’s THE ONE and you’ll understand. That said, anyone who loves animals is ok by me. At least Kaley and Karl have that in common and he’s not some hanger-on hoping to get famous – as far as I can tell. Just judging from their photos, the guy seems really into her and they look like a good match. I bet they get engaged before the year ends.
Look at this puppy! This is the shirt which Kaley wore on The View (that video clip is on People). I don’t get this. I really hate the off-the-shoulder ruffled dress shirt trend and this is similar to that, with ruffles on the sleeves, lace down the lapel and she paired it with striped dress pants! What was she thinking?

This is an incredibly complicated story that involves multiple interviews by Ivanka Trump and literally decades of work by Hillary Clinton. I am not going to come anywhere near to covering this comprehensively, so if you?d like a deeper dive, I suggest you read this excellent piece at NY Mag detailing Ivanka?s blatant lies and Hillary Clinton?s long history of fighting for family medical leave, maternity leave and more. The story sort of begins this week, when Donald Trump unveiled his ?plan? for paid maternity leave. It was said that Ivanka had a big part in developing the plan, and Ivanka did several high-profile interviews in support of it.
Trump?s newly unveiled plan is only interesting because it rejects the Republican fallback position of ?unpaid maternity leave? and extreme limits of said maternity leave. Trump?s plan ? with Ivanka?s influence ? calls for six weeks of paid maternity leave and a tax deduction for stay-at-home parents. Trump?s plan doesn?t call for paternity leave, optional or not. In a new Cosmo interview out yesterday, Ivanka refers to her father?s plan as ?the first to address this in a comprehensive way.? It is not the first. Hillary Clinton released her comprehensive child-care and family-medical leave plan a year ago. Then Ivanka got testy when pressed about how the Trump plan is really only for women like Ivanka, who give birth and their daddies are expected to go back to work right away. Ivanka says, yes, the plan is meant ?to enable the mother to recover after childbirth. It’s critical for the health of the mother.? So, nothing for dads, nothing for same-sex male partners. That?s when the interview starts to get testy. Then it gets even trickier when Cosmo brings up an old Trump quote! Here?s that part:
Cosmo: In 2004, Donald Trump said that pregnancy is an inconvenient thing for a business. It’s surprising to see this policy from him today. Can you talk a little bit about those comments, and perhaps what has changed?
Ivanka: So I think that you have a lot of negativity in these questions, and I think my father has put forth a very comprehensive and really revolutionary plan to deal with a lot of issues. So I don’t know how useful it is to spend too much time with you on this if you’re going to make a comment like that. My father obviously has a track record of decades of employing women at every level of his company, and supporting women, and supporting them in their professional capacity, and enabling them to thrive outside of the office and within. To imply otherwise is an unfair characterization of his track record and his support of professional women. So the policies at our company reflect that, and the diversity of our workforce, from a gender perspective, and in all perspectives, reflects that. So my father has been a great advocate for the women in the workforce, and that’s part of why he recognized that reform is so necessary.
Cosmo: I would like to say that I’m sorry the questions ? you?re finding them negative, but it is relevant that a presidential candidate made those comments, so I’m just following up.
Ivanka: Well, you said he made those comments. I don’t know that he said those comments.
Cosmo: This is quoted from an NBC [interview] from 2004. I definitely did not make that up. I do want to talk to you a little bit beyond the plan, as well?
Ivanka: I think what I was ? there’s plenty of time for you to editorialize around this, but I think he put forth a really incredible plan that has pushed the boundaries of what anyone else is talking about. On child care specifically, there are no proposals on the table. He really took ownership of this issue, and I really applaud him for doing that. I hope that, regardless of what your political viewpoint is, this should be celebrated.
Cosmo: I want to talk about how this will be paid for. I know that Donald Trump wants to have an increase in defense spending, also is promising tax cuts, [wants to raise] infrastructure spending, and wants to build a wall [at the Mexican border]. How will this plan be paid for?
Ivanka: Well, he’s going to unveil his total tax-reform plan on Thursday, and this is a component of that, so it will be included in his overall budget and economic vision. So it is accounted for, it is paid for under this plan, and it is budget-neutral. In terms of the paid leave component, that’s self-financing through reforms in existing unemployment insurance. So the child care component of the plan, and the dependent care component of the plan, will be presented as part of the larger tax reform that he’s going to be presenting on Thursday in a speech here in New York. And the paid leave component is self-financing through the reforms I just mentioned. I’m going to jump off, I have to run. I apologize.

But the real story is that Ivanka is just the same as her father: a petty, salty liar who runs away (or hangs up) when pressed about her petty lies. Ivanka already whined on Twitter about this Cosmo interview too, directing this comment to Cosmo: ?your readers do & should care about issues impacting women & children. Keep the focus where it belongs?advocating change.? Yeah, Cosmo readers cared about women and children before you came along, Ivanka.

I have no idea where to start with Donald Trump. That?s how I?ve been starting so many Trump posts these days, I know, but it?s always true. The way he quickly cycles through controversies, flubs, mistakes, lies and horrendous scandals is mind-boggling. Just in the past 24 hours, Donald Trump has once again refused to acknowledge that President Barack Obama was born in the United States. Eric and Donald Trump Jr. have lied their faces off about their father?s taxes and invoked the Holocaust in a particularly tortured metaphor. And now the Trump Farce has taken over late-night TV. Last night, Trump appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. It?s a smart choice for political candidates because Fallon is not any kind of heavy-hitter, nor is he a good interviewer. And now people are like ?Did Jimmy Fallon just humanize a terrible fascist bigot?? The answer is yes. Jimmy Fallon would have made Adolf Hitler play charades.
So, here are the clips from the Tonight Show. This video features softball questions about why someone would want to be president.
Here?s Jimmy messing up Trump?s hair:
Trump on how he ?doesn?t know? Vladimir Putin. He says ?I know nothing about? Putin. They also talk debates. He also defends Matt Lauer?s sh-tty performance at that presidential forum a week ago.
Talking about his health and how he hasn?t gotten sick at all during the campaign and he eats a lot of fast food.
I just? ugh. I can see why Trump agreed to this, of course. He knew that Fallon would softball him throughout the interview. But here?s the real question: why did NBC and the Tonight Show producers think this was okay? It?s not okay.
Also: this has sort of been lost in the craziness this week, but Melania Trump?s lawyers finally ?explained? her immigration status back in the ?90s. Only they really didn?t explain anything at all. It?s really complicated, but you can read some great reporting here at Mother Jones.

Yesterday, I claimed that Kim Kardashian was trying to kill me with ?90s nostalgia ? there were some photos of Kim in NYC, wearing a Totally ?90s black velvet dress that pretty much every ?90s Girl owned circa 1996. And now this happened! These are photos of Kim Kardashian out and about in Miami yesterday with Kanye and some of her family (Khloe, etc). Pretty much every lady my age and older has tried a variation of this look too, the bustier-top with jeans. We all tried in the 1980s and ?90s. It?s hard to pinpoint exactly when the ?peak? of this fashion really came. I would say early ?90s, but I might be wrong. This look reminds me strongly of a very famous set of photos of Cindy Crawford. Janet Jackson wore something similar in a music video too.
Still, these photos just remind me of something fundamental about Kim: she doesn?t understand her body at all. She takes lousy styling advice and she has no ?eye? for what works on her body, or for what works period. Look at how small that lingerie/bustier/bodysuit thing is! Look at what it?s doing to her breasts. And I?m sorry, but those acid-washed jeans need to be burned. I thought LeAnn Rimes? jeans were bad the other day, but I actually think these are worse (albeit cleaner).
Kim also got somewhat naked ? she was naked, but covering herself ? in some Snapchats last night and now everyone is like ?are we going to have another controversy where tons of celebrities call Kim a skank for not wearing clothes??
PS? Seriously, why are button-fly jeans a thing again? It was bad enough the first time around.

Victoria Beckham showed her Spring 2017 line last Sunday at NYFW, with husband David and son Brooklyn in the front row. Personally I really like her new collection, it?s much more colorful and relaxed and shows some real growth in her designs. This skirt is my favorite. Victoria is a big name in fashion, not bad for someone on their second career. So with her mom a major fashionitsa, where does that leave her daughter, Harper? Following in her mom?s footsteps, of course – and doing so in heels. While promoting her Este Lauder makeup line on Late Night with Seth Meyers Tuesday, Victoria spoke of Harper’s long standing stiletto skills and how she jumps the line between Tomboy and girly-girl.
?She?s a little tomboy, playing in the garden with her brothers, playing football ? and [husband David Beckham] as well,? the mom of four, 42, shared of her youngest child and only daughter Harper Seven, 5.
?She?s also very girly, so she loves to play with makeup,? adds Beckham, who herself has been busy taking part in New York Fashion Week and whose own limited edition Este Lauder makeup line launched Tuesday in N.Y.C.
?She has been able to run in a pair of high heels for a long time. So proud. So proud.?

I knew Harper was my spirit child. I used to drive my mother crazy ruining my church dresses by playing football (American) on the lawn while she chatted during coffee hour. I never really broke that habit, either. If there a good scrimmage going, silk blouse be damned. I totally get Victoria?s pride in Harper?s ability in heels, but that?s not exclusive. I know many young kids who work heels better then their parents, including my own. Getting them to match those heels to the right outfit, now there?s your challenge.
Seth also asked Victoria about Cruz?s ?Cups? video, to which Victoria replied, ?We are like a traveling circus, our family. We sing, we dance, we do football, we do fashion.? I cannot tell you how much money I would pay to see the Beckham Family Traveling Circus. It would be a glorious event with color-coordinated animals that play football and dance. And Harper would be the ringleader because you know that?s who she is in the Beckham household.
While doing an exclusive for The Morning Show, Victoria was once again asked about why she never smiles. I get a little tired of her being asked this. If you watch her in interviews or her snapchats, she jokes and laughs a lot. So she doesn?t smile for press, she?s already said she doesn?t like how her smile looks in photos. With all these people adopting the open-mouth, lobotomy-patient look on the red carpet, who cares if she chooses RBF? Plus, Victoria is beautiful, rich, has a successful fashion line, a white-hot husband, adorable children, is always well-dressed and travels the world when she chooses. If she were up there grinning ear to ear, I?d accuse her of just rubbing it in my face.
