As a couple, I find Rita Ora and Taika Waititi low-level annoying. But I also cant deny that theyre cute together. Theyve apparently been married for a year but it feels like it hasnt been that long at all. Recently Rita and Taika met the Dutch wellness guy and ice bath evangelizer Wim Hof. He kind of popularized the idea of taking cold swims along with breath work. Wim Hof, the self-proclaimed Ice Man, led Rita and Taika through ice baths and Rita put photos of their day together on Instagram. Whoevers bathroom they did it in has absolutely beautiful tiling. Everyone looks like they enjoyed themselves. But I have thoughts about Wim Hof, which well get to in a second.

The ?Let You Love Me? singer, 32, revealed on Instagram Saturday that she and her director-husband had an opportunity to do an ice bath in Ibiza with Dutch wellness guru Wim Hof, who touts the many health benefits of cold therapy.
?I got to meet the Ice Man himself @iceman_hof out here and he?s honestly the SWEETEST!!? Ora wrote in the post?s caption. ?He even performed some songs for us too Anyone else taken an ice bath before? It?s CRAZY!!?
She shared a series of photos documenting the experience, including a snapshot of her and Waititi, 48, posing with Hof in their swimsuits. A second image captured Ora perched on the edge of the bath as her husband and Hof smiled for the camera while enjoying their icy soak.
Another picture showed Ora and a friend taking their turn in the tub. The two appeared to be holding hands and had their eyes closed as they braved the freezing water.
The songstress also included a video clip of Hof serenading his guests with a guitar performance.
The motivational speaker and extreme athlete, 64, has published a series of popular wellness books promoting the myriad benefits of practicing cold therapy, along with breath work. According to Hof, taking ice baths helps reduce inflammation in the body, aids muscle soreness, strengthens the immune system, balances hormone levels, improves sleep quality and more.

This is the most random combo of famous people I could have imagined (also, dang, Rita Ora has a beautiful figure. Ive always been too distracted by her wacky red carpet looks to realize). For whatever subconscious reason, Wim Hof reminds me of a line from the movie Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy: the faith of the fanatic is always concealing a secret doubt. Hes so certain that cold swims are the solution, he has the vibe of an evangelist or a door-to-door vacuum salesman. Whenever someone tells me that one simple practice is a miracle cure for a bunch of different problems, I am instantly suspicious. I also dont vibe with his breathing exercises at allthe ones Ive tried were very much about activating and stirring up your nervous system and I hated how that felt. I am by nature an extremely anxious, neurotic person. I am trying to get my nervous system to simmer down, not rile it up.
That being said, I like cold swims and there is scientific evidence that supports it as a treatment for muscle soreness so hes right about some things. Last week I hiked to a lake that was all glacier runoff and let me tell you, I got some funny looks when I walked out to the shore in my Pink bikini. Nobody else was swimming! When I lunged forward into the water I definitely felt like I got the breath knocked out of me, but I only stayed in for about 30 seconds and then got out. It does give you a brief euphoric feeling afterwards and it was a super hot day so it was intensely refreshing after four miles of hiking. But you have to be careful, and people with certain health conditions shouldnt do it at all. Theres a thin line between therapeutic and dangerous with ice swims, at least in my non-expert view (and I cant reiterate enough that I am not an expert).

Red carpets are back, people. Premiere events are back! Last night, The Suicide Squad premiered in LA and I don?t see anyone with a mask. I would hope that everyone has been vaccinated, and that people had to show their vaccination cards to walk the carpet. Ordinarily, I would have made Margot Robbie the ?star? of this post since she is the star of the film. But Taika Waititi and Rita Ora made their ?red carpet couple debut? at this premiere, so now they?re getting all of the attention. Taika and Rita got together several months ago in Australia. Taika was hard at work on Thor: Love and Thunder and Rita was in town for The Voice: Australia. Love blossomed as most people were just stuck in Australia indefinitely because of the pandemic. And so here we are: Taika and Rita, love and thunder. I hate her outfit! He looks nice though.

File this one under Things That Make You Go Huh? Rumor has it that singer Rita Ora and Director/Writer/Actor Taika Waititi are an item. How did this happen? It seems to be location based. Taika is currently in Australia filming his next project, Thor: Love and Thunder. He?s been photographed all over Oz with Russell Crowe, Chris Hemsworth and Matt Damon at sports arenas, various beaches and bike paths. However, Taika recently popped up in the shot above on Rita?s Instagram in a photoset that she captioned, ?Good times, memories, random things on my phone and the ones I love..??,? which got everyone scratching their heads. Rita happens to be in Sydney currently to film The Voice. Now we?re hearing that not only have they been dating since March, she may have scored herself a cameo in the Thor film.
Rita Ora sent fans into a frenzy last week when she shared an incredibly cosy snap with Thor director Taika Waititi.
And now it has been reported that the two stars have been dating for over a month while the singer has been in Sydney filming The Voice.
According to The Sun, Rita, 30, and Taika, 45, have made no secret they are together among their famous friends and things could be getting serious.
?They?ve been a couple since early March but kept things low key. However, all their friends know about the relationship. They?re really into each other, a source told the publication.
The rumoured couple were spotted exiting a private jet with Chris Hemsworth, his wife Elsa and Matt Damon in Sydney recently, following a trip to the Gold Coast.
The Hollywood movie hunks are staying Down Under to shoot scenes for Taikas Thor Love and Thunder film in addition to Russell Crowe, who was seen on a bike ride with Rita last week.
A listener of the Who? Weekly podcast fuelled further romance speculation as they reported seeing the couple kissing inside a restaurant.
Curious fans took to social media to question whether Rita, who split from French director Romain Gavras earlier this year, will have a cameo in his film.
A twitter user said: When taika waititi sneaks Rita Ora into the first thor movie thus making rita the first pop girlie in the mcu yup!
(please dont correct me if im wrong I have seen maybe 5 marvel movies I dont care). (sic)

I don?t love this. Rita seems messy. She?s constantly stepping in trouble in her career. She was awful about breaking quarantine for her birthday and lying to cover it up. And she has a history of being messy in her dating life. Taika is a little harder to figure out. When news of his divorce hit, it appeared that his much younger assistant was the reason. But then it came out that he and his wife, Chelsea Winstanley, had been separated for two years by the time he was first seen with his assistant. Still, he?d met the assistant before the split and no one has ever confirmed when the relationship started. Either way, it seems he?s sticking to 30-year-olds for the time being. And he seems to be looking for a good time, which I guess Rita is, because she?s hanging out with the whole cast of Thor, it seems. The article quoted someone saying that Idris Elba showed up on Rita?s IG. I went through all her posts in the last month and found no Idris. I?m not saying she doesn?t show up in Thor, I?m sure she does, I?m just bummed I didn?t get a shot of Idris.
As I said, this isn?t my favorite pairing, but I don?t expect it to last past either?s filming schedule. I?m sure Rita would love to ride Taika?s coattails right into a cinematic career, but I won?t bank on it. As for her finagling a scene in Thor, Taika?s a pretty smart filmmaker. If he finds a way to cleverly insert her into the film, he will. She won?t hurt anything.
I?ll admit, I am a lot more invested in Idris possibly being in the area to film Thor than whether these two are going anywhere.

Rita Ora is a singer, although she?s slightly better known for attracting the wrong kind of media attention. She demonstrated this recently in the worst way possible when she tried to get away with throwing herself a 30-person birthday party that went against London lockdown rules. What was worse is that at the time of the party, she was supposed to be quarantining after recently returning from a paid performance in Cairo. When she got caught, she paid her fines and issued an apology that looked more and more insincere as it came out she?d been issuing bogus stories to the press to try and cover up her intention to blow off restrictions. Since nobody is letting Rita forget her decision, she?s decided to skip off to Bulgaria until this whole mess blows over and she can come back and start anew.
Rita Ora has jetted out of the country for the rest of the year following her Covid-19 embarrassment.
She was blasted last month for breaking lockdown rules by throwing a 30th birthday party, and it was later revealed she was also meant to be quarantining, having recently returned from a trip to Egypt.
But now she is hoping to lay low until the New Year, meaning she won?t return home to London for Christmas and will instead go on holiday as soon as her shoot in Bulgaria ends this week.
A source close to the singer said: ?Rita has beaten herself up about her mistakes but has thrown herself back into work to take her mind off things.
?She spent most of this year working on her music and is now hoping to return with new tracks in early 2021, with the video to one single being filmed at the moment in Bulgaria.
?She doesn?t want to be in London right now so has booked a relaxing holiday over Christmas and New Year in the hope she can start afresh in January. Taking some time out to reflect on everything that has happened is very important to her right now.?

I believe Rita fled London out of embarrassment. I do not believe she is beating herself up over anything. I think she?s ticked off her redemption narrative blew up in her face and is angry that she repeatedly got called out for her choices. So, whereas I?m sure she did line up to film while there, she?s running away from the press.
If I am doing my math correctly, her party was Nov 30. Rita should have gone into quarantine the following day after exposing herself to that many people. The Sun article is dated Dec 14 and Rita was already gone by the time it was published, which implies she didn?t quarantine properly, if at all. Also, London enters Tier 3 lockdown restrictions today because of a 40% increase of COVID cases since the start of December. Those restrictions highly advise against all travel, foreign and domestic, although travel is not illegal. So, once again, Rita is going against every stated precaution because the press keeps pointing out she broke the rules. That makes her a hypocrite and a coward. It probably will blow over, but she really doesn?t deserve it.

Rita Ora is among the celebrity brain trust that believes that they are exempt from COVID. Like the Kardashians and Cardi B, Rita thought her birthday would provide immunity from the virus. Rita hosted a crowd of around 30 people in a restaurant in West London while the whole of London was still in lockdown. After getting caught and fined 10,000 pounds ($12K US), Rita issued an apology claiming it was a spur of the moment decision. She checked all the boxes in her public apology by citing errors in judgement, irresponsible actions and knowing the devastation of the virus first hand. If she?d truly meant all that, she wouldn?t have had a party in the first place. Here is Rita?s full ?apology?:
According to TMZ, Rita voluntarily paid her fine. I?m sure somebody told her she owed it and she paid it without being dragged to court, but I don?t know if that makes it voluntary. I don?t believe that Rita got a restaurant mandated to shut down except for take-away to open on the spur of the moment. She must have told the restaurant, Casa Cruz, that she?d pay their penalties up front and they were probably desperate enough to agree. That doesn?t let them off the hook, but it does show how little celebrities think of others. The entire apology reeks of the adage ?it?s easier to apologize than ask permission.? I mentioned last week and am still furious at our governor for attending a birthday party at French Laundry against his own guidelines a few weeks ago. He did the same thing, apologized, said he was in the wrong and made a terrible decision. I like Gov Newsom well enough, but I am absolutely convinced he went to that party knowing it was wrong and with the intention of issuing that bs apology afterwards. Rita, on the other hand, thought she wouldn?t get caught.
In addition to Rita, actor Laurence Fox also hosted a large lunch with friends this past weekend, bragging about it on social media and also getting sternly admonished by Boris Johnson publicly. At least Rita apologized. Fox, on the other hand, tweeted about hugging his friends and encouraged people to break lockdown to stick it to the NHS because ?compliance is violence? (his words).
