Meanwhile, Miss Holmes revealed that she may have found a new hobby for her and daughter Suri Cruise.
After chatting with surfing star Courtney Conlogue, Katie told People that she set up lessons to learn how to get up on a board.
"I hope she's got a lot of time ? and patience," the 35-year-old actress said. "I've never surfed before."

Promoting her latest gig, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley arrived at the Paige Shop launch in London, England on Thursday (July 24).
The gorgeous 27-year-old model donned a pair of metallic jeans with a simple black top as she posed with the brand?s creative director/found, Paige Adams-Geller.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Rosie is the newest face of Paige Denim and the launch celebrated the exciting announcement.
While at the launch, Rosie remincies about her first time wearing the denim brand and said, ?I had an event to go to, and [the hosts] were quite specific that I wear white jeans, and I?m a little scared of white jeans ? you know, get it wrong, and they?re not so good.?
?And so Paige sent over a few pairs, and there was this amazing pair of high-waisted flares that fit me like a glove. I felt like a million dollars in them, my legs looked super long ? which we love ? and I?ve been loyal to the brand ever since. For me, to avoid those hellish jeans nightmare shopping crazy experiences, I think it?s about staying loyal to a particular brand and finding my styles within that brand. Nicki Minaj has been stirring sh-t up on social media this week. She already tweeted about racism in hip hop and threw some hefty shade on Iggy Azalea in the process. All of that was precursor to Nicki dropping the artwork for her new “Anaconda” single. We only thought Nicki started dressing classy. She hasn’t changed a bit. (I’m blurring this image for your eyeballs and because we blur all derrieres on this site.)
With a single cover like this, no one is really thinking about the music, right? Nicki wanted some attention, so she put her booty out there for everyone to see. She wanted big reactions. She wanted to have people freak out over her NSFW thong shot. She wanted to rant when people called her out for looking for attention.
Someone took the bait and photoshopped Nicki’s cheeks into the Google logo. Nicki decided this parody was racist and posted it to her Instagram page. Then she posted the thonged tushies of a bunch of SI models, including the latest SI: Swim cover. Nicki labeled these tushes “acceptable” and “angelic” (except for Chrissy Teigen’s butt, which she laughed at). Nicki stuck to posting white girl booty to make her point. She purposely did not post any tushies of SI’s black swimsuit models like Cris Urena or Chanel Iman.
Does Nicki have a point about racism against booties? There’s a difference between the SI: Swim issue (where people expect to see tush) and a single cover (that people see on the internet without warning). For what it’s worth, people called out Lady Gaga for her thong on the “Do What U Want” single cover too.

Star Magazine has an exclusive interview with LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian in this week?s print edition. I guess LeAnn and Eddie made the tabloid rounds this week, because Life & Style is also claiming an exclusive. Some of the quotes from the piece are just rehearsed talking points we?ve heard many times before (?we?re doing this because we wanted to work together again!?), but there?s some new stuff. And I should note that in the prelude to the interview, Star Mag claims that Eddie and LeAnn are ?still hounded by scandal, especially with Eddie?s jilted ex, Brandi Glanville, happy to needle them at every turn.? Meow! Some highlights:
LeAnn on why they?re doing the show: ?I think what people want to see is the way we interact with each other, and that?s the honesty of the show. There is nothing scripted. We want people to get a whole different side of us and to laugh.?
LeAnn on coping with scrutiny: ?We have gone through hell and back to be together and blend a family. We?ve gone to therapy to learn how to communicate better because we don?t want to screw with the kids. It has made us better and our marriage stronger.?
Eddie on their sex life: ?It?s very healthy.?
LeAnn on their sex life: ?We keep it interesting? I think it?s awesome. After this many years, I?m still enjoying it, so it?s very good.?
Whether she is open to adoption: ?I?m totally cool with adopting. I love kids, period. I have proven many times over to myself that I can love a child who?s not mine. It would be great to have a child I can myself and Eddie in, but there are a lot of children who need to be loved too, and we?ve talked about both.?
Eddie on adopting: ?I?m totally up for adopting.?
LeAnn on Eddie being at home while she tours & makes money: ?I never look at it as ?Oh I?m going out to support my family and I need to pay the bills.? We don?t worry about money, but we keep an eye on it, especially with my shoe buying!?
Eddie on being at home while she tours: ?Artists tour because that?s where they get revenue, and she really enjoys going out and performing.?

There?s so much delusion here. So many lies too. How many times is LeAnn going to lie about whether the VH1 reality show is scripted or not? How many times is she going to play fast and loose with just how ?honest? they are? As for their sex life? Eddie describes it in vague terms as ?healthy? (not ?good? or ?amazing?) and LeAnn? I always feel bad for LeAnn on the sexual front. I think the reason she stalked Eddie and basically forced his marriage to end was because Eddie was the first guy to ever bang her properly. She?s still riding that high. And it?s made her extra-crazy.

Zoe Saldana covers the newest issue of Hollywood Reporter to promote her role as a green-skinned assassin in Guardians of the Galaxy. Before I hop into the interview, here’s an update on Zoe’s pregnancy. She’s reportedly three months pregnant, and some of you thought she looked further along at Monday’s premiere. There’s a good reason for that. E! news has spoken to multiple sources who say Zoe is pregnant with twins. Wow. Marco Perego had better buckle up. Twins are a huge undertaking. They just got married last year, and they have another big lifestyle adjustment coming their way. Zoe is reportedly “thrilled.” In about a year, she’ll be reportedly “exhausted.”
This interview is bitchy in a Zoe way. She calls out Hollywood elitism and “people disrespecting me.” Disrespect seems to be the theme of this press tour. She calls out Hollywood for not giving females roles other than accessory wives or girlfriends. I agree with Zoe on that point. She also goes off on the “political” nature of film sets, but really, most jobs are like that to a point. There are many other topics of discussion here. The reasons why she married Marco are interesting:
On her Pirates of the Caribbean movie: “Those weren’t the right people for me. I’m not talking about the cast. The cast was great. I’m talking about the political stuff that went on behind closed doors. It was a lot of above-the-line versus below-the-line, extras versus actors, producers versus PAs. It was very elitist. I almost quit the business. I was 23 years old, and I was like, ‘F— this!’ I am never putting myself in this situation again. People disrespecting me because they look at my number on a call sheet and they think I’m not important. F— you.”
On being sci-fi eye candy: “That’s true of every genre. Eighty percent of what’s out there is told through the point of view of a male. I can sit down with so many filmmakers for so many projects and play so many actors’ girlfriends or wives. But in sci-fi, I can play Gamora. She was taken from her planet when she was a child and forced into a life of violence and crime. She reminds me of the lost kids of Sudan, the boys who are taken from their family and have to come back to their villages and shoot everybody. Even though it’s a Marvel movie, I take it all very seriously.”
She almost broke Chris Pratt’s ribs: “I almost kicked him in the nuts. He was like (in a high-pitched voice), ‘It’s fine, it’s fine.’ I love that about men. They’re determined to maintain their dignity. Even when they’re crushed.”
On marrying Marco after a few months: “No! I’ve known my partner for five years. I knew of his work. I knew of him. Then we met. And months later, we both made the decision to do what we both individually vowed never to do — to get married. Why get married? Because I believe in love? Because I don’t want my kids to be called bast-rds? No. Those reasons are not natural to me. Maybe for tax reasons I would have done it.”
Her mom mistook Thandie Newton for Zoe? “That’s true. She saw a poster for Crash and called me to ask me why I didn’t tell her I was in a movie with Matt Dillon. I’ve gotten Kerry Washington and Jada Pinkett, too, but mainly Thandie. People ask me if I’m offended that I’m confused with every other black actress out there. ‘Doesn’t it bother you that people think you’re all the same person?’ No. Because one time I entered a restaurant and there were all these beautiful blond girls around a table, probably all from Orange County. It felt like it might have been a high school reunion or something. There were like 20 beautiful girls, but they were all the same. I couldn’t tell any of them apart.”
Is Hollywood getting better about race? “I don’t want to spend my life thinking about all the impossibilities I face when I wake up in the morning. But the reality is, I’m a woman of color in America. That itself is enough for you to wake up and go, ‘Oh, f—!’”
Race doesn’t matter as much in sci-fi: “You know why? Because the people we discriminate against in sci-fi movies are the aliens. We make them the villains. We have to make somebody bad.”

I tried not to laugh at the part about Chris Pratt’s balls, which was hard because my inner 15-year-old found it funny. The stuff about “knowing” Marco for five years through his art is bizarre. Does Zoe really think she knew him incredibly well before even meeting him? One of his “best known works” is a creepy portrait of the Seven Dwarves. That painting is pretty tame. I googled and found a very NSFW piece of “art” that shows a topless Minnie Mouse getting choked. There’s another one that shows Peter Pan‘s Tinkerbell and Wendy uh … akimbo. You can find those for yourself. I guess now we know more about Zoe’s taste in art and how well she knew Marco before meeting him.

Here are some new photos of Kristen Stewart at LAX yesterday. These are the first photos we?ve had of her since she debuted her new haircut at the Paris Fashion Week Chanel show several weeks ago. As I said back then, I like the haircut. But her hair was definitely styled better in Paris. These LAX pics? well, I?ll give her a break. She was probably coming off of a long flight and that?s why she looks so unwashed and why her hair looks sort of gross. She?s trying to turn away from the paparazzo too, which just gives us a better look at the haircut ? it?s sort of like Mick Jagger?s hair circa 1973. Shaggy, rock n? roll, but with a Totally ?90s dye job. I get that Kristen is simplifying her look, but that American Ultra movie is done so why not get rid of the Manic Panic dye job?
Anyway, I don?t have much to say about Kristen these days. It seems like she?s trying to go back to her indie roots, do smaller films and ensemble pieces. She?s going to be at TIFF in September (probably!) to promote Still Alice, that film she did with Julianne Moore and Alec Baldwin (they play her parents). I think she may have successfully rebooted her career after Mini Cooper-gate. Oh, and I still would like to know if she?s dating Alicia Cargile.
PS? Just think, Kristen totally could have starred in Fifty Shades of Grey. She was one of the inspirations, after all.

Hercules comes out in theaters today, so this is a great moment to run a Dwayne Johnson catchall post. Starting with The Rock killing it on Twitter with photos like this one. The Rock was hanging on set, dressed as Hercules, when a lovely 2-year-old asked him to play patty cake. He complied. Look at his legs! They’re massive. Even when The Rock looks ultra roidy, I’d still hit it so hard. He’s devastatingly handsome and has a great reputation for being so sweet to fans. This is a guy who never forgets where he came from. This film’s trailer looks dreadful, yet I want the movie to do well. I will always root for The Rock.
My man did a Reddit AMA a few days ago. There weren’t any standout quotes, but he does drop a few details:
Making this movie: “Hercules was by far my most demanding role. I knew that going it though – so I was prepared to go the distance and commit. 6 months of hard core training, prep and diet. Chariot, sword and combat training as well. What I didn?t count on was the injury that occurred 6 weeks before shooting (tore two tendons from my pelvis) which then ultimately led to my abdomen wall weakening which cause 3 hernia tears. So wrap all that up into a big ass ball of fun pain and you have the most challenging role Ive ever had. Also when I arrived on set in Budapest in a physical peak I was happy with for the character, I had to maintain that look for the next 5 months. Very taxing on the body – physically, mentally and every which way in between. Funny thing is, if I had to do it all over again.. I?d do it twice. Only I?d add a freaking cheat meal once a week or so. Geeeezus”
His favorite cheat meal: “Pizza (double dough), pancakes and peanut butter brownies. And for good measure I throw in a diet coke!”
What he’s thankful for: “My family is everything to me. It sounds cliche but its true. More and more as I go thru life my cup runneth over with gratitude for the loved ones in my life. For the record, Ive always wanted to write ‘my cup runneth over,’ so Fa’afetai Tele Lava!”
On Paul Walker: “Finishing Fast and Furious without Paul was very bittersweet. His death was heartbreaking and in a way, informed us that we should be even more grateful for every waking minute and hug our loved ones and friends just that much tighter and stronger. I truly feel audiences will be very happy and emotionally moved by Fast 7. Im proud of the movie we made – proud of my fellow actors, director, studio partners and hard working blue collar film crew. The truth is, like all movies – Fast and Furious will come and go and hopefully, leave an incredible movie legacy behind. To me, the #1 most important thing I care about is making sure his daughter has stability in her life and good solid men around her to help raise her in the wake of Paul?s passing. (MYB)

I remember reading about The Rock’s adductor injury last year and cringing. I once ripped an adductor but it was only a 2nd degree tear. It was so freaking painful, and I can’t imagine what it was like to completely rupture the connected tendons. He went back to training almost immediately. The Rock is hardcore. It’s impossible to dislike this guy. He was even adorable during his Tonight Show visit. He and Jimmy Fallon wore bad wigs and formed the “Fungo Brothers” workout duo:
Dwayne has also been fielding rumors that he’ll soon play a superhero. He teased EW with hints that point towards him playing Captain Marvel in a movie. There’s going to be a big announcement soon, supposedly.

I might have to turn in my Dork Card because I keep forgetting that Guardians of the Galaxy is a Marvel property. My bad. So it?s no surprise when an Avenger turned up at the UK premiere of Guardians last night. Okay, it?s a little bit surprising considering the Avenger was Chris Hemsworth, who I dubbed ?The Largely Absent Hemsworth? last year because he was largely MIA during the promotion of Thor 2: The Dark World. I guess Chris has gotten with the program? Maybe he was coaxed towards the program by his wife?
In any case, Chris and Elsa Pataky walked the carpet last night. They did matchy Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. Chris loves a good vest. I?m not sure how I feel about that. I guess it?s a nice summer look? Sure. As for Elsa?s D&G dress? it?s okay. It?s very David?s Bridal. I hate the styling. The way she put that tiny leopard-print purse around her shoulder like a messenger bag? well, that?s totally 1995. All the ladies did that in 1995. It looks like Elsa is growing out her hair too, which I like. This in-between stage would have been awkward on a lesser woman, but it really works on Elsa. Last thing: WOW, she is still breast-feeding, huh? Her girls look amazing.
What else? Forbes has declared Chris to be the fifth highest-paid actor in Hollywood. In the past year, he?s made $37 million, just behind (in order) RDJ, The Rock, Bradley Cooper and Leo DiCaprio.
Last thing: Star Mag claims that Chris and Matthew McConaughey are boy-fighting over a role both want in The Brotherhood. Although it?s not much of a fight because the director apparently loves Chris and Matthew won?t be getting the part.

Friends even began to worry that the couple might not make it to the altar at all. And for good reason: A second source tells the mag the couple have canceled wedding plans three previous times since their August 2012 engagement!
