How did we get here with Nicki Minaj? Some believe that Nicki is doing all of this anti-vaxxer crap as an obvious deflection from her husband Kenneth Petty taking a plea deal for failing to register as a sex offender, not to mention a deflection from the massive civil suit against both Minaj and Petty for targeted harassment of the woman he raped. I do think all of Minaj?s crap in the past week probably started out as deflection, but it?s taken over as its own terrible thing.
To recap, Minaj is unvaccinated and she lied about her cousin?s friend?s vaccine-induced swoleballs as an excuse for why she was vaccine-hesitant. Instead of apologizing for lying and spreading vaccine misinformation, Nicki has doubled-down to a crazy degree. She?s retweeting white supremacists and being applauded by Candace Owens. She?s claiming she?s being censored (while she?s actively promoting vaccine misinformation). And she?s weaponizing the Barbz to attack her enemies:
Nicki Minaj sicced her fans, the Barbz, on reporters Friday and threatened them herself. The rapper posted the phone numbers of two reporters to her Instagram Story, inviting spam calls and threats. The journalists had been trying to contact her cousin?s friend with the swollen balls, the man she cited in now-infamous tweets as one of the main reasons for her decision not to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
Minaj wrote on Instagram, ?Sharlene Rampersad BITCH YOUR DAYS ARE FKING NUMBERED YOU DIRTY HOE.? Minaj posted screenshots of Rampersad reaching out to someone in Minaj?s family on behalf of The Guardian about the pop star?s claims, calling the texts harassment. Minaj ?grammed the business card of a reporter for the Daily Mail as well, James Fielding. Guardian Media Limited released a statement denouncing the ?intimidation of journalists? after a CNC3 reporter was ?subjected to a range of attacks via social media, including death threats.?

Minaj also claimed that she was the one being harassed, and that her family members were being harassed, which? a phone call from a journalist is not harassment. Trinidad?s health minister said they lost hours trying to track down Nicki?s cousin?s friend with swoleballs, only to learn that no such swoleballed person exists. Attempting to doxx journalists for doing their fking jobs is not productive.
Also not productive? A large group of unhinged Barbz marched on the gdamn Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta. They screamed ?Nicki told the truth to me! Fauci lied to me!? People keep screaming ?I stand with Nicki? on social media too. All of this because Nicki Minaj is a liar and an idiot who married a rapist.

I?m sorry, but what in the world is Nicki Minaj doing? I thought this whole mess was over Monday night, when even the Barbz turned on her for spreading vaccine disinformation and propagating a story about vaccine-induced swoleballs in her cousin?s friend. On Monday night, Nicki tweeted out that she was Covid-positive and that?s why she skipped the VMAs, then she admitted that she was unvaccinated and she wouldn?t get the vaccine until she did her own research (sideeye), and then she told the dumb story about her cousin?s friend?s vaccine-induced swoleballs. Everyone made fun of her and instead of just apologizing for getting it wrong, Nicki has decided to double-down on all of her bad takes and misinformation.
At some point during Nicki?s flat-out Twitter tantrum, she tweeted out a video from Tucker Carlson, where Tucker was defending her right to spread vaxx misinformation, basically. Even the Barbz know that Carlson is a white supremacist, so they were like ?WTF is wrong with you??? And she still didn?t back down. But the biggest part of Minaj?s mess was when she claimed the White House had contacted her and offered her a meeting on vaccines. The White House came out and denied Minaj?s lie and they said the offer was for her to speak on the phone to one of their public health officials, in what I can only imagine would have been the public health official lecturing Nicki to stop using her platform to spread misinformation about vaccines.
And after all that, Nicki claimed she was in Twitter jail, which I believe. She was actively promoting lies about vaccines, and Twitter and Instagram have gotten better about shutting down those people. Minaj then claimed she would not use Twitter anymore. I looked at her Twitter feed this morning and I didn?t even see any notices or labels on her tweets, but I wasn?t looking that hard. And it?s possible that she is in Twitter jail, and if so, oh well. I just saw that Minaj went on Instagram last night and whined about cancel culture and saying that a ?mob? was attacking her. Bitch, you lied!! You used your platform to spread misinformation about vaccines! A social media mob ?attacked? you for a REASON.
Here?s Trinidad and Tobago?s Health Minister saying flat-out that no one in the country has vaccine-induced swoleballs. Ouch.

Nicki Minaj began dating Kenneth Petty in late 2018. Media outlets began looking into his backstory, especially given that Minaj and Petty seemed to go from ?dating? to ?super-serious? in about a week. No one had to look that far, his criminal past is public record, especially since he?s a sex offender and murderer who was still on parole when they got together. In 1995, took a plea deal for an attempted rape in the first degree on a then-16-year-old. In 2002, he pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter of Lamont Robinson. Basically, the man had been in and out of prison for the better part of two decades when he married Minaj in 2019. The rape conviction was one of reasons why there was so much initial coverage of Petty because of that conviction, he has to register as a sex offender wherever he lives (because of Megan?s Law). And because of that, Nicki Minaj was apparently doing the fking most to somehow get Petty?s victim to recant her story. And in doing so, Minaj made the woman feel unsafe and harassed. Now the woman is suing Nicki and Kenneth Petty:
A woman says rapper Nicki Minaj?s husband raped her while the two were teens in Queens more than 20 years ago ? and the couple then harassed her and tried to intimidate her into recanting, according to a new lawsuit.
Jennifer Hough says in her Brooklyn federal-court suit that she was raped by Minaj?s hubby, Kenneth Petty, in 1994, after she encountered him while waiting for the school bus in Jamaica. Petty allegedly approached her at the bus stop ? then pulled a knife, held it to her back and led her to a nearby house, where he raped her, according to the suit. After the alleged rape, he got off Hough and stood in front of a mirror while saying, ?I am the man. I am the man,? the suit states. Petty was arrested at the time and ended up taking a plea deal, serving more than four years behind bars on the charge of attempted rape, the New York Times reported.
Hough says in her suit that she suffered mental anguish for years after the attack ? and then was targeted by Minaj when Petty was arrested in 2020 for failing to register as a sex offender in California over her case. Minaj called Hough on the phone and offered to ?help out? her situation, saying she could fly her and her family to California, according to the suit. Hough declined, the suit states.
The ?Starships? rapper also allegedly offered to fly her publicist out to meet Hough to craft a statement for her to recant the accusation, the suit alleges. Hough says she refused. Then through a series of encounters, Hough and members of her family were allegedly repeatedly offered cash bribes for as much as $500,000 by Minaj and her associates to get her to recant, the suit says.
In one proposed scheme, an old friend of Hough?s identified as ?Black? in the suit told Hough that Minaj would record ?happy birthday? videos for Hough?s daughter for her ?Sweet 16? if she recanted. Hough says in her suit that she again refused. Hough is seeking unspecified damages for the alleged harassment.
A lawyer for Petty did not immediately respond to a request for comment. A rep for Minaj could not immediately be reached.

I believe Jennifer Hough. I also believe that Nicki Minaj would be stupid enough to think that she could ?pay off? Hough to recant her statement after all of this time and that would somehow change anything? Like, Petty still took the plea deal. The rape was not ?alleged? taking a plea deal is the same as a conviction, and he still needs to register as a sex offender. Hough probably also knows that even if she did take some kind of payoff to recant, Minaj would probably turn around and demand that Hough be charged with filing a false police report.
Looking at past coverage too back when Minaj and Petty got together and the Barbz were on Nicki?s social media, talking about how Petty seemed problematic as fk because of the rape, Nicki wrote a response to one fan: ?He was 15, she was 16 ? in a relationship. But go awf Internet. Y?all can?t run my life. Y?all can?t even run y?all own life. Thank you boo.? She said that about her now-husband raping a teenage at knifepoint. Of course she was harassing Jennifer Hough.

Nicki Minaj is back. We all knew she would be. In 2019, Nicki announced her ?retirement? from music, saying that she wanted to focus on her marriage to Kenneth Petty and starting a family. She gave birth to a son (we still don?t know his name) and she legitimately kept it pretty lowkey for a few years. Now Nicki is back with new music and she?s feeling chatty with her fans. Nicki posted a lengthy essay on her website about what she?s been up to, and during her maternity leave, she got really into The Crown. Which seems off-brand for Nicki, but it also sort of makes sense? It?s a soap opera and I can see how it would appeal to Nicki. Some highlights from this essay:
On The Crown: ?My darlings, as I complete this album & documentary, I am also obsessing over ?The Crown? on Netflix. The great Kenya Barris recommended I watch it & I?ve been hooked ever since. It?s safe to say I?ve watched every single episode of every single season at least 5 times each. Lol. Yikes. I know.?
On the cast of The Crown: ?I can?t get enough of Claire Foy?s perfect face. I want to eat it. It just does the right thing in every single scene. Lmao. I also can?t believe how much I enjoy Gillian Anderson?s portrayal of Margaret Thatcher. Seeing as tho I?m such a Meryl StreepINISTA. I love Helena as Princess Margaret & Josh as Prince Charles, although let?s face it; he?s a tad hunkier than the real Prince ever was? and yes, I just used the word ?hunkier?. Olivia Colman as the later Queen she?s a great actress. I actually enjoyed her portrayal of Mrs. Thatcher?s daughter in the IRON LADY even more than I enjoy her in this role! Go figure. BRAVO to the entire cast, writers & directors.
She?s really into ice: ?Since becoming pregnant I can?t stop eating ice. I?m now up to about 20 cups per day. I eat them out of the red plastic cups. The cups must always be stacked in two. ?Double cup love, you the one I lean on?. Lol. It simply doesn?t taste right when I eat it out of one lil flimsy cup.
On her son: ?I?ve also been completely overwhelmed with joy & fulfillment in the world of Papa Bear. Each day creates a new & fascinating, magical memory that I hide far away into a little cute compartment of my heart; vowing never to forget any of it. Like. He?s just a cute liddo marshmallow. I can?t take it. His favorite movie is Madagascar (Escape 2 Africa) won?t stop watching it. LOL. He?s so smart, funny, sweet, competitive it?s kind of crazy how they have a full personality so early on. Yesterday I made him say mama. Even got it on video. Just Wow.

She gave birth to her son last October, so the baby isn?t even a year old! And his favorite movie is already Madagascar? More like it?s one of Nicki?s favorite movies and he probably just enjoys the colors and voices. As for her love of The Crown? it really amuses me how that show has become such a cultural touchstone. Grandmothers watch it, moms watch it, dudes watch it, Gen Z watches it, rap empresses watch it. Its like Downton Abbey a soap opera with a lot of money.

Ever since that story that Safaree Samuels told about Nicki Minaj, I haven?t been able to look at her the same way. It?s not like I was ever a Barbz, but? I believed Samuels. I believed that Nicki attacked him and stabbed him and sent him to the emergency room. I also believe that Nicki Minaj starts sh-t and verbally trashes people and then when they respond, she wants to pretend she?s the innocent one. That?s her M.O. SoNicki is married now, to Kenneth Petty. She and Petty ran into her ex-boyfriend Meek Mill in West Hollywood. Meek and Nicki?s relationship was not a healthy one, but I kind of thought it was all water under the bridge. Apparently not, because all three parties got into some kind of altercation.
Meek Mill took a walk down memory lane that almost ended in blows running into his ex, Nicki Minaj, and her husband, Kenneth Petty and they werent happy to see each other. The shouting match went down Friday at the high-end clothing store Maxfield in West Hollywood, where somehow Meek happened to stumble across his old flame and her current partner. Its unclear who was there first, but regardless it got heated.
TMZ got a hold of the face-off, and you can see Meek in white being held back and escorted out of the store by both his own security team and guys working for the boutique. In the background, you clearly hear Nicki and Kens voices theyre pretty distinctive. No official word on what started the beef, but based on what we can make out it sounds like they were talking crap to each other over Nicki plain and simple. Oh, and get this sources tell us NM and KP were alone, and Meek was rolling with 10 heads deep.
Anyway, Ken calls Meek a p***y and Meek calls him one back while adding he cant face or talk to him one-on-one without a cluster of people in between. Nicki gets in on the yelling too seemingly calling Meek a bitch, and also seemingly adding he cant get over her.
Update: Sources connected to Meek tell us he was already in the store shopping when Nicki and Kenneth came in an approached him. When Kenneth started getting loud, Meek suggested they all have a word in private, but they refused according to our sources. Were told Meek wanted to keep things civil, because, as one source put it Hes just happy hes in a much better place, personally and professionally, than he was back when he and Nicki were dating.

I don?t care, honestly. I just thought the video was funny (see below). As the argument got louder, you could see all of these people getting the fk out of the store. And yes, I think Meek called up TMZ to give them his side of the story, thus that update. Do I think that Nicki and Petty walked up to Meek and tried to start some sh-t? Again, that?s her M.O. Now the Barbz are trying to make it sound like Meek is still hung up on Nicki. Again, I don?t know.

Well, Nicki Minaj did it. She married Kenneth ?Zoo? Petty, that shady dude she?s been dating for less than a year. Nicki has been loved up with Petty for almost all of 2019, and it seemed like they went from ?casually dating? to ?incredibly serious? in about one weekend. There were rumors of an engagement very quickly, and Nicki reportedly got a marriage license late in the summer. We don?t have any wedding photos or anything to confirm that a wedding took place, but Nicki posted this to her Instagram:

Nicki Minaj has been with Kenneth Petty forless than a year. They first got together in late 2018, and they made their social media couple debut last December. I remember reading some stuff about Petty?s background and thinking that he did not really seem like a catch. Nicki seems to have a bad picker, but also: two of her exes have claimed that she was physically abusive to them, so there?s that too. Basically, I think Nicki is extremely toxic in relationships (and in life) and she?s attracted to toxic men as well. So maybe Nicki and Kenneth Petty are perfect together.
Their relationship seemed to go from zero to 60 in about a month. There were rumors of an elopement, but then back in June, they got a marriage license. At some point, Nicki changed her social media handles to ?Mrs. Petty? and told people last month that she would definitely marry Petty before the 90-day license was up. Well? we still haven?t gotten a hard confirmation on the marriage, but Nicki did drop this announcement to her Barbz:
