Devoting some time to her adorable children, Jennifer Garner took Samuel and Seraphina Affleck to the Farmers' market in Pacific Palisades yesterday (August 25).
The "Alias" beauty looked super cute in a bright blue sweater and dark washed jeans as she and the kiddos made their way past the shutterbugs waiting for them.
Recently, Miss Garner opened up to Allure magazine about her short lived marriage to 41-year-old actor Scott Foley.
"Oh, he's a great guy. We were full-on grown-ups, but looking back I'm aware we did not know what hit us," she explained to the publication. "We didn't have a shot. He's a really good guy, and we just imploded."
The couple met on the set of "Felicity" in 1998 and were married in October of 2000. After only three years of marriage, the pair called it quits, stating they had "irreconcilable differences."

I kind of feel bad for Katy Perry right now. In her mind, last night was supposed to be “her” night and big return to pop-star glory. Katy had really worked hard for this moment, you know? All those magazine covers and vitamin regimens, and the VMAs were supposed to be her big, post-divorce return with a performance under the Brooklyn Bridge, but no one paid attention at all to Katy’s “Roar” because of Miley Cyrus’ antics.
Katy tried her hardest to be a hot mess though with this leopard-print Emanuel Ungaro dress that fit every nook and cranny on her body, and Katy also went with her usual flattering high ponytail (she’s one of the few who looks good with a Croydon facelift), but it just didn’t matter. Then Katy whipped out the final (inadequate) weapon in her arsenal last night: a rainbow-colored grill. For real.
Miley Cyrus didn’t win a single Moon Man statue last night even though she was nominated for four awards and completely dominated the stage show with her gross antics. I guess MTV is content to let her grab some ratings, but when it comes to handing out rewards, they’re all, “Focus on the music next time.” Of course, I say that like MTV has standards and hasn’t become the “Catfish” channel.
In sharp contrast to her onstage vinyl wedgie of doom, Miley’s red carpet outfit wasn’t bad at all. She wore vintage Dolce & Gabbana in the form of a bejeweled, black crop top and pants, and if she had just kept this vibe going for the entire show, I think people would like her better right now. Instead, she has graduated to fameho extraordinaire.
Selena Gomez looked absolutely fantastic in Versace, and she managed to look both sexy and sophisticated. From a distance and with a front view, the dress looks rather subdued, but the navy really flatters Selena’s coloring and sleek hairdo. Upon closer inspection though, the dress is a lot more revealing with an intricately detailed and exposed bustier and a sexy side slit all the way up the right thigh. She’s so gorgeous!
Selena also grabbed the coveted Moon Man for “Best Pop Video” away from Miley. Selena won for “Come and Get It,” which wasn’t a good video at all and was mildly offensive to the East Indian culture, but I’m just happy that Miley’s antics haven’t earned her all of the rewards that she so desires.
Rita Ora looked surprisingly washed out in her humongous Alexandre Vauthier Fall gown with a huge, egg-shell blue train made of feathers. The look was meant to present straight-up drama with a plunging neckline and tons of embellished crystals on the top half of the dress, but Rita gets lost in the gown. Her makeup is blah, and this train is wayyyy too much.
I keep trying to figure out why Allison Williams is at all these music awards shows lately other than the fact that she is Katy Perry’s BFF, but Allison did present an award last night (with Joseph Gordon Levitt), so I guess that’s good enough of a reason. Allison didn’t exactly make an impact on the red carpet though because she seemed out of place in an elegant (and embellished) white Valentino dress. This seems like something she would wear to a premiere or screening, not to a “wild” MTV show. In a sense, I guess that makes Allison the true rebel of the evening.

I got a lot of tweets and comments about Taylor Swift?s look at the VMAs, but I didn?t really find it that controversial or notable. Swifty wore this Herve Leger gown which made her body look great, frankly. She has a model-y figure and she owns it. The gown was very obvious and very ?look at me!? but I actually enjoyed the fact that she wasn?t wearing a super-sweet, frothy princess gown and I?m glad she wore a dark color too. I also enjoyed the way she styled it. This is perhaps the best hair she?s had at a music event ever! If I had to change one thing, I would give her better jewelry. And that?s it.
I?m not really sure who Erin Wasson is (a model, right?), but this is what she wore. It?s Alexandre Vauthier. She has a great body, but? honey no.
Ciara wore Givenchy Couture. I hate when ladies wear gowns that are designed to make you think, ?Are we just one breeze away from seeing her biscuit?? Also, too many feathers.
Sarah Hyland in Marchesa. I hate when young women do this ? I hate when they go overboard for an event like the VMAs. The VMAs are not the event where you should wear a Marchesa gown. You should never wear Marchesa anyway, but if you really need to, save it for a red-carpet Hollywood event, like a big premiere or something. Not the VMAs. Also: this dress just sucks completely. Poor Sarah.

I’m not sure how true this story is. The source, a Brazilian newspaper called Jornal O Globo, has run with an insider tip which claims Italian actress Monica Bellucci and French actor Vincent Cassell have separated after 14 years of marriage. The couple have two children together and may have an open marriage. Or at least, the marriage is open on Vincent’s end, and Monica went along with it because she thought it was “ridiculous” to expect her husband not to sleep with other women when they apart for months at a time.
If this story is true, then maybe Monica and Vincent’s arrangement has run its course. Maybe Monica got tired of keeping up the pretenses of a marriage while Vincent was sleeping with other chicks. Here’s the scoop from what I think is the celebrity offshoot of the newspaper, Ego Globo. They include the detail that Monica fled the couple’s mansion in Rio and returned to France without Vincent. Uh-oh:
Actors Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci parted, reports the newspaper “O Globo”. Italian actress left the mansion in Alto Gavea in Rio’s South Zone, and returned to France with her daughters Deva and Laonie.
According to the newspaper, before leaving, Monica dismissed most employees of the house, who is the lawyer Jorge Hilario Gouvea Vieira. Cassel still living in Rio and has frequented the bars of Baixo Gavea.
Cassel and Bellucci moved to Rio at the end of last year and adopted the carioca lifestyle. The couple enjoyed the carnival the city this year and was seen several times walking the streets in stripped-down style. They were married for 14 years.

So what are we to make of this report? Perhaps Monica tired of having her husband bed randoms while she took care of their children, or perhaps Vincent fell down on one of her stated criteria for marriage, “loyalty” and/or “elegance.” Or maybe Vincent decided he wanted to be with one of his side pieces, who obviously would be a lot less stressful to deal with and wouldn’t exist with all the complications of a “nagging” wife. God, I hate it when dudes think that their side pieces will be better life companions than their wives. It never turns out that way when the new ones inevitably expect them to take out the trash too. The horror!
Anyway, I hope this story isn’t true — mostly because I’d hate to see a family break up, but if it is true, then Vincent is a damn fool.

We were sent this tip about a new LeAnn Rimes interview that was published last week in The Shreveport Times ? you can read the full interview here, although I wouldn?t really recommend it. I mean, I have to give LeAnn some credit for always being willing to give interviews to smaller press outlets and local newspapers, I guess. But the interview is extremely tedious and it reads like a high school reporter interviewing a local celebrity. What is notable, however, is that within the first few questions, LeAnn had already referred to Mason and Jake Cibrian as ?my sons?. Because of course she did. Here are some highlights from the interview:
Birthday plans: ?You know, I think we?re actually doing something really chill here at our house. We moved into a new house in March, and I think we?re going to have a luau? Yeah, my sons are planning it. I?m on tour up until the day before.?
Getting downtime this summer: ?Gosh, what did we do? My husband turned 40 in June. He wanted to rent a houseboat for a week on Lake Powell. It was awesome? We didn?t do any fishing but a lot of jet skiing, a lot of boating, a lot of eating and drinking. It was fun.?
Shopping: ?I?m a big Internet shopper. I used to love to go shopping, and now I have no patience for it. I think it?s because traffic here in L.A. is so annoying to drive most of the time so if I can get it on the Internet I?m good.?
Summer must-haves: ?Must have for summer? Bikini, since everyone thinks I wear them 24/7; I do have quite a collection. God, what else. I love flip-flops. Haviana flip-flops are like the thing I live in. I love heels, but at the same time, I love flip-flops, and usually I?m barefoot. I mean, I am from Mississippi, we don?t wear shoes down there.?
Her weight and body image: ?I eat healthy, probably 80 percent of the time. I work out a lot because I actually enjoy it. I lift weights, do that kind of stuff. I like to eat what I want some of the time. Like I said, I?m from Mississippi so I like fried things, I like mozzarella sticks, fried chicken. Every once in a while I have to indulge.?
What she would be doing if not for music: ?What would I be doing? Oh God, I always wanted to be a psychiatrist or an interior designer, or a dermatologist. Those were my three things. I?ve had psoriasis since I was two, and it always interested me. I love interior design and anything creative, and I love people?s minds, I think it?s fascinating. These are things that I said when I was little, ?I want to be a singer at five, and I want a be a psychiatrist at six.??
Why she doesn?t move out of California: ?The kids, to be honest. Really, they?re the only reason I live in LA. I love the West Coast. I think if I had my choice I would probably live in Oregon or Washington, actually. So beautiful. But where we live, it is very rural. We have horses and dirt.
The perfect date night: ?Usually sushi, sake and home. That?s it. Honestly, we love to go out to dinner, but sometimes we just want to be at home because we?re always gone. We?ll go pick up sushi to go and hang out outside. There?s a restaurant called Nobu that I really love here. Yeah, I?m a sushi person, I probably eat it three or four times a week.

This is not the first time LeAnn has referred to Brand Glanville and Eddie Cibrian?s son as ?my sons? and it will not be the last.
