Here are some photos from today?s London photocall for Spectre. The photos of Monica Bellucci are kind of? unfortunate. Like, I love her and I think she?s gorgeous, but these photos will be used as an example in years to come for ?When bad bangs and satin shirts happen to beautiful women.? I?m also including photos of Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris and Daniel Craig, of course. I like that the promotion seems to involve the Bond Ladies!
Meanwhile, Monica recently gave an interview to the Daily Mirror and she really doesn?t give a crap about any of this. She?d rather be in Paris with her two daughters (10-year-old Deva and 5-year-old Leonie). Monica is 51 years old ? the oldest ?Bond Girl? on record and four years older than Daniel Craig ? and she has some thoughts on aging, motherhood and being single for the first time in decades. FYI: Monica and Vincent Cassel split a few years ago and she hasn?t been in a high-profile relationship since then. You can read the full Mirror piece here. Highlights:
Her priorities: ?It?s all about making sure that your children have a good breakfast, that they dress warmly when it?s cold outside, and pay attention to their studies.?
She had mixed feelings about motherhood at first: ?When I was in my 20s and early thirties I wasn?t ready to take on such a responsibility, I wasn?t ready to be a mother. Maybe that?s because I was an only child and that tends to make you more selfish and you worry that you aren?t able to make time and devote yourself to raising a child. But when I had Deva, it was the perfect moment for me to start a family and it changed my life in every way imaginable.
She studied to be a lawyer: ?I wanted to pursue a serious occupation because there is a lot of pressure being considered an attractive woman in Italy?
Being James Bond?s love interest at 51: ?We should not be worried about age when it comes to love and attraction. Just as younger women are attracted to older men, it shouldn?t be considered strange that men in their 20s and 30s are drawn to older women. It?s the chemistry and energy between men and women that counts…True sexiness is in the mind, the imagination, not in the age of the body? It?s important to show that a woman at 50 can be just as interesting and attractive as a woman who is 30.?
Being single at 51: ?It?s something I?d really never experienced before. I feel very alive. The single woman is a free woman, and being single does not mean being alone – it means being free to have a relationship or not. This can be scary, but it?s also very interesting. Remember it?s not that long ago that women only existed in terms of their relationships to men.?
Maintaining her looks: ?I?m just too lazy. I never go to the gym. And I love to eat chocolate and pasta. I?m not obsessed with being skinny. I don?t stress myself about my looks. I love to laugh. I like being able to lead an interesting life.?
[From The Daily Mirror]
She sounds very grounded. I honestly forgot that she had her daughters later than most women ? Monica was 45 when she gave birth to Leonie. As for how little she cares about maintaining her beauty? she?s my spirit animal. ?I love to eat chocolate and pasta.? AMEN. ?I?m not obsessed with being skinny.? Bless. And yes, I hope she?s banging a 30-year-old.

Here is Monica Bellucci wearing Dolce&Gabbana SS 2015 for Vanity Fair Italia December 2014 issue.
Interviewed by Vanity Fair Italia, Monica reveals she will star as the Italian Lucia Sciarra and that movie director Sam Mendes, asked her to interpret the new Bond girl, personally inviting Monica out for a dinner in London. She didn?t dilly dally about accepting this new adventure: after having had the first daughter at 40 and the second at 45, why not star as Bond Girl at 50?

In case you hadn’t heard, they’re making a new James Bond movie. And to celebrate, they set up this promotional lesbian fantasy with Monica Bellucci, Naomie Harris and Lea Seydoux to help get us all pumped for the new movie. At least, that’s what I’m assuming this launch event was for. Anyway, I don’t know […]

On Monday, we brought you a slightly sketchy story (via a Brazilian newspaper) about Monica Belluci and Vincent Cassel supposedly separating after 14 years of marriage. In the report, we heard about how Monica had enough of whatever Vincent was doling out and had left their Rio mansion to return France with the couple’s two daughters. At the time, I wondered aloud whether Monica had finally decided that a fidelity-free marriage was not something that she wanted to live with forever.
Now I have another

I’m not sure how true this story is. The source, a Brazilian newspaper called Jornal O Globo, has run with an insider tip which claims Italian actress Monica Bellucci and French actor Vincent Cassell have separated after 14 years of marriage. The couple have two children together and may have an open marriage. Or at least, the marriage is open on Vincent’s end, and Monica went along with it because she thought it was “ridiculous” to expect her husband not to sleep with other women when they apart for months at a time.
If this story is true, then maybe Monica and Vincent’s arrangement has run its course. Maybe Monica got tired of keeping up the pretenses of a marriage while Vincent was sleeping with other chicks. Here’s the scoop from what I think is the celebrity offshoot of the newspaper, Ego Globo. They include the detail that Monica fled the couple’s mansion in Rio and returned to France without Vincent. Uh-oh:
Actors Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci parted, reports the newspaper “O Globo”. Italian actress left the mansion in Alto Gavea in Rio’s South Zone, and returned to France with her daughters Deva and Laonie.
According to the newspaper, before leaving, Monica dismissed most employees of the house, who is the lawyer Jorge Hilario Gouvea Vieira. Cassel still living in Rio and has frequented the bars of Baixo Gavea.
Cassel and Bellucci moved to Rio at the end of last year and adopted the carioca lifestyle. The couple enjoyed the carnival the city this year and was seen several times walking the streets in stripped-down style. They were married for 14 years.
[From Ego-Globo]
So what are we to make of this report? Perhaps Monica tired of having her husband bed randoms while she took care of their children, or perhaps Vincent fell down on one of her stated criteria for marriage, “loyalty” and/or “elegance.” Or maybe Vincent decided he wanted to be with one of his side pieces, who obviously would be a lot less stressful to deal with and wouldn’t exist with all the complications of a “nagging” wife. God, I hate it when dudes think that their side pieces will be better life companions than their wives. It never turns out that way when the new ones inevitably expect them to take out the trash too. The horror!
Anyway, I hope this story isn’t true — mostly because I’d hate to see a family break up, but if it is true, then Vincent is a damn fool.

| Monica Bellucci: 'Perfection doesn't exist & if it did, I would find it very boring' | Added 12 years ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Oooh, the second Monica Bellucci post of the month! Pretty soon she?ll be a regularly featured celebrity! Probably not, though. We keep getting new photos and new interviews of her because she?s been doing the film festival rounds for her new film, Rhino Season. Earlier this month, I covered some quotes from Monica in which she was discussing having children in her late 30s/early 40s, and how ?Being a woman isn?t about having children.? Those quotes made me really like her even more. And now there are some new quotes from Monica, and she?s talking about body image and such:
Italian actress Monica Bellucci has had enough of the ‘thin is in’ culture and wants more appreciation of the differences in the female form.
“Perfection doesn’t exist and if it did, I would find it very boring. For sure, a skinny body is attractive. But who ever said that a bigger body couldn’t be beautiful in the same way? With big breasts and big arms?” she told Italian magazine Myself.
Bellucci, 47, told the magazine there is more to beauty than designer clothes or investing in expensive beauty products.
“The most important thing is to be confident with yourself. If you feel good, everything seems fine. If you feel awkward, you are going to convey your insecurity. I know a lot of beautiful women that are not aware of their beauty,” she said.
[From The Belfast Telegraph]
Spoken like a beautiful woman with a crazy body who is married to one of the sexiest men in the world. Still, I like that she says it. I like that she?s not trying to sell me a weight loss system or a diet or something. She?s merely negating the premise of Hollywood and society at large ? that you have to be thin and look a certain way to be considered ?beautiful?. Sigh?
Here are some photos of Monica outside of her hotel in San Sebastian, Spain yesterday. She?s in town for the San Sebastian Film Festival! She looks gorgeous, but I?m not in love with her blazer.

These are some new photos of Monica Bellucci in Toronto, promoting her new film, Rhino Season. I can?t find a designer ID on the dress, but it?s giving me Dolce vibes, and it probably is D&G considering Monica has long been associated with the brand. But this isn?t a fashion or beauty post, although I do think Monica looks great. She?s 47 years old, and I believe (honestly) that she?s un-tweaked. I think this is just what she looks like at 47 with no extras but good wine and getting boned by Vincent Cassel (sigh?).
As I learned last year, Monica is always good for an interesting quote. She never tries to take back her witty and fascinating observations with the excuse of ?lost in translation? either. Last year, Monica basically said that she and Vincent have a less ?traditional? view of marital fidelity ? basically, she knows he?s going to screw around, so all she expects from him is loyalty and elegance (meaning, perhaps, that if he screws around, he can?t flaunt it). So what does Monica have to say in a recent interview with Style Mag? Oh, there are lots of goodies.
Having babies in her late 30s and early 40s: ?It was the perfect time. In my life, I do things late. I need to be calm, and to know and feel things are right. I?m sure there are great 20-year-old mothers, but I wasn?t into children at that age. Now I feel differently. I can stay with them without feeling as if I?m losing something.?
On the idea of being childless/childfree: ?I would have been disappointed. But it?s different for every woman. I have so many friends who don?t have children and are happy. Being a woman isn?t about having children. But for me, I needed to go through the experience.?
She now organizes her work around being a mom: ?I try to organize my time according to them, because they need me. I don?t want to put my work first anymore, because it?s not as important. I organize my time very well – I don?t like to miss my children.”
Always bet on black: “Black is my favorite color. A simple black dress is the most perfect thing. Sometimes, I think, if I gain weight, I will just wear black because it?s easier.?
Intelligence & self-confidence are as important as physical beauty: ?Beauty is a problem if you?re stupid, but not if you know how to use it. I know many beautiful people, but their lives are just terrible because they don?t know that being comfortable is not about what you look like, but how you feel.?
She works out. Occasionally. ?I began after Leonie was born,? Monica sighed. ?But I don?t like to do it every day, or watch what I eat. I?m not a machine ? I should be in good shape, but have never felt that I have to be skinny.?
[Via Ahlan Live & Film News]
I love her statement: ?I have so many friends who don?t have children and are happy. Being a woman isn?t about having children. But for me, I needed to go through the experience.? It?s her experience, and she isn?t judging the women that choose not to become moms. I wish more women thought/felt like that, that the experience of being a woman isn?t solely or exclusively about motherhood. Sigh? I love her.

Glamming up at the Venice Film Festival, Monica Bellucci attended the premiere of ?Un Ete Brulant? on Friday night (September 2).
The ?Whistleblower? actress looked gorgeous as she worked the red carpet at Palazzo del Cinema venue clad in a draping black strapped dress.
Monica?s role in the flick is causing all kinds of controversy given that she has a one-minute nude scene during the opening sequence.
However, despite the overt sexiness, ?Un Ete Brulant? has been getting a tepid response from critics overall.
