She?s been in the film industry since the early 1980s, and Drew Barrymore says it?s time to cut back on career in favor of raising her adorable kiddos.
During her interview on ?Today? this morning (November 7), the ?50 First Dates? actress outlined her plan for scaling things down.
?I think I will act less and less. It?s hard to be present when you wake up before them and come home after they?ve gone to bed. That?s just not the way I want to have this journey with my kids at this point in their life. But maybe when they?re older, I will feel differently. But at this point, I think it has to be few and far between.?
?I?m not organized in my life. I lose everything and I?m a complete disaster. With my kids, I really kind of don?t accept that from myself because I think kids learn from example of the way you live your life? I had a very untraditional upbringing, so I looked at it from afar and just thought, ?Well that?s the exact opposite of how I?d want to raise my kids.??

It has been an amazing couple of weeks for Taylor Swift as her new album 1989 sold almost 1.3 copies in its first seven days.
And as an added bonus, YouTube user Thomas Jung set Swifty?s hit ?Shake It Off? to a video from the 1988 Crystal Light National Aerobic Championship.
The result is one of the most entertaining and mood-enhancing experiences of the year, and even Taylor digs it- she tweeted a link with the message, ?A sneak peak at the official "Shake It Off" choreography for the 1989 World Tour.?
Jung, who has scored 2 million views so far, captioned the video, ?I guess everyone was wrong when they said Taylor?s songs were about her exes.?

As someone who shops online often, I take issue with overpriced “curated” celebrity shopping websites like Goop, Preserve, et. al. It’s not that difficult to visit the daily sale sites (RueLala, MyHabit and Ideel are my favorites but there are so many more) and the home decor sites or even Amazon, Etsy and Overstock to find nice things that fit your own personal style. For me that’s part of the fun of dressing and decorating: finding individual pieces. I’ll occasionally purchase something a celebrity wears or recommends but I keep in mind that they get that stuff for free and make good money promoting it.
So that’s why I’m kind of laughing at the fact that Justin Timberlake’s home design website, HomeMint.com, has closed. Timberlake opened the site with his interior designer, Estee Stanley, under the umbrella of other “Mint” sites curated by celebrities. There’s JewelMint, by Kate Bosworth and stylist Cher Coulter, Stylemint by Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen, and ShoeMint by Rachel Bilson and stylist Nicole Chavez, among others. (I’ve never heard of any of those sites and I’m a shopping addict who runs a celebrity blog.)
In an interview last year with ElleDecor, Timberlake and Stanley explained that the BeachMint company “came to us with the opportunity” to run the site. He also said that he loves to obsess over the details of decorating and will “Literally, for hours, sit and compare hardware.” Well it looks like Timberlake’s time has opened up, since he doesn’t have to curate for Homemint any longer:
Justin Timberlake can scratch interior design guru off his resume. His decor website, HomeMint, claims to be taking a “staycation” – but according to a source, the site is kaput. “Justin is far from a decorating, and people didn’t flock to buy his designs,” the insider explains. “He’s disappointed.” One problem was the site’s membership fee – $10 a month – just for the privilege of viewing $140 throw pillows and $100 baskets curated by Justin. “Everything was overpriced,” groused one customer. “It was all stuff you could’ve found elsewhere for a lot less.”

$10 a month just to be able to shop does sound steep when the same items are available on other sites for cheaper. So maybe it’s not on Justin that this failed. He probably doesn’t care, he’s got his music career, a new baby on the way, and a successful fashion line with his best friend. Plus Justin really wants to act, that’s his true ambition although you know how that’s working out for him.
While I sideeye most of the celebrity shopping sites, especially the “lifestyle” sites, there are a few celebrities working in niche markets who are really killing it. Kate Hudson’s Fabletics is an athletic clothing site which offers monthly workout outfits for about $50. The prices are steep but not outrageous and the clothes are cute. Jessica Alba has The Honest Company which has monthly eco-friendly baby, home and child product deliveries. In those cases the celebrities are offering products they know and care about in a specific category. Justin Timberlake and home decorating are kind of a mismatch.

Earlier this week, Taylor Swift's fans were shocked when they could no longer stream her back catalog on the Spotify website, and the ?Out of the Woods? songstress says she?s sticking to her guns.
Swift sold over 1.2 million copies of her new album 1989 in its first week, and she noted that while she wants everyone to hear her music, she also wants to be fairly compensated for her hard work.
In an interview with Yahoo! Music, Taylor explained, "If I had streamed the new album, it's impossible to try to speculate what would have happened. But all I can say is that music is changing so quickly, and the landscape of the music industry itself is changing so quickly, that everything new, like Spotify, all feels to me a bit like a grand experiment.?
?And I'm not willing to contribute my life's work to an experiment that I don't feel fairly compensates the writers, producers, artists, and creators of this music. And I just don't agree with perpetuating the perception that music has no value and should be free."
Furthermore, "A lot of people were suggesting to me that I try putting new music on Spotify with ?Shake It Off,? and so I was open-minded about it. I thought, 'I will try this; I'll see how it feels.' It didn't feel right to me. I felt like I was saying to my fans, 'If you create music someday, if you create a painting someday, someone can just walk into a museum, take it off the wall, rip off a corner off it, and it's theirs now and they don't have to pay for it.' I didn't like the perception that it was putting forth. And so I decided to change the way I was doing things."

Confession: I actually think I might be on the autism spectrum. Either that or I?m a hyper-self-aware, self-diagnosing neurotic and I fall nowhere on the autism spectrum. I?ve always been a bit socially awkward and I?ve always been off in my own little world, happy to be alone. I?m not saying this to mock or have some kind of exercise in narcissism, but I just wanted to bring it up because I think Jerry Seinfeld has done the same thing that I?ve done for years. Meaning, whenever he hears a story about high-functioning autistics, he thinks ?Huh, I have a lot in common with that guy.?
Jerry Seinfeld, on the autism spectrum? That’s what the actor and comedian told NBC Nightly News anchor Brian Williams during a recent segment about his hit internet series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
The 60-year-old comic, who, despite his fame and fortune, continues to do stand-up at New York comedy clubs, explained to Williams that he’s still finding out exactly who he is as a person. And as he’s learned more about autism spectrum disorder in recent years, Seinfeld explains he?s become more convinced he can see himself in the description.
“I think, on a very drawn out scale, I think I’m on the spectrum,” the sitcom creator revealed.
“What are the markers?” an intrigued Williams asked.
“You know, never paying attention to the right things,? said Seinfeld. ?Basic social engagement is really a struggle. I’m very literal. When people talk to me and they use expressions, sometimes I don’t know what they’re saying.”
But while the revelation about his social struggles may be surprising, Seinfeld is clear that this isn’t something he considers a disability.
“I don’t see it as dysfunctional,” he added. “I just think of it as an alternate mindset.”

Yep, I could see that. Obviously, Seinfeld isn?t talking about the life-altering autism that so many children and adults face and struggle with on a daily basis. But the more we find out about the broad scale of autism, I think the spectrum ends up explaining a lot high-functioning people that often get read as ?odd? or ?weirdly brilliant? or just ?awkward.? So, do you think Seinfeld is right in his self-diagnosis? I could see it.

Since I?ve been writing Angie Harmon stories all week, I?ve been spending some time looking through the photo archives for photos of Angie solo and Angie with her now-estranged husband Jason Sehorn. You know what?s interesting? Angie has spent a lot of time over the past few years going to Hollywood events solo. Angie and Jason haven?t been photographed together on a red carpet since 2011 by WENN?s records. Which is just further evidence for my theory that Jason and Angie have been on the outs for years now, basically ever since she decided to take Rizzoli & Isles and film in LA for six to seven months a year while Jason raised their daughters in nice, conservative North Carolina. Now In Touch Weekly has some gossip about Angie?s behavior while apart from her husband:
News recently broke revealing the split between former NFL pro Jason Sehorn and actress Angie Harmon ? but In Touch Weekly has learned that the couple?s 13-year marriage has practically been over for months.
?They?ve actually been living apart since March,? an insider on the set of Angie?s TNT series, Rizzoli & Isles, reveals in the new issue of In Touch. ?Everyone knew they were having problems.?
Angie was living the single life way before news broke about her breakup with Jason. ?Angie has always acted like she was single around the set ? flirting with guys on the cast and crew,? explains the insider. ?She?s never really given off a vibe that she?s a married mother of three.?

Oh, Harmon has ?always acted like she was single?? I would expect nothing less from such a good, devout Christian. I mean, obviously, she was happy to have the work and I?m sure those Rizzoli & Isles paychecks are great. But I?m still just? confused, I guess, about the thought process that went into taking that job and leaving her family in North Carolina. And for what? She was the architect of her marriage?s demise. Anyway, I do think Angie and Jason have had problems for a lot longer than a few months. Obviously. And despite the ?devout Christian? thing, it wouldn?t surprise me at all if both Angie and Jason were fooling around with other people as they lived apart.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen, both 33, have welcomed their first child together. It seems like Rachel has been pregnant forever, but that’s probably because she was getting papped constantly during her pregnancy. Plus she had her baby shower in late August, which is just about right as she would have been 32 weeks along but it still seems like a long time ago. Rachel had a baby girl, whom they named Briar Rose. That’s the original title of The Grimm Brothers fairy tale which became Sleeping Beauty. Here’s more, thanks to US Weekly, which seems to be Rachel’s go-to outlet:
Summer Roberts is a mom! Rachel Bilson and boyfriend Hayden Christensen have welcomed their first child together, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm via multiple sources.
The couple gave their baby girl a Disney princess-themed name — Briar Rose! The adorable moniker is a nod to the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty; sheltering Princess Aurora from Maleficent’s curse, the three fairies call the little girl Briar Rose. It’s also the name that was used in the original Grimm Brothers fairy tale in 1812.
Us broke the news back in May that Bilson, 33, and the Star Wars actor, also 33, were expecting a baby. “They’ve both talked about this for awhile and are so excited,” an insider told Us. “Everyone is beyond thrilled for them.”

Rose is a beautiful name, but Briar? I guess they could call her “Bri,” but that sounds short for Brian. It’s a bizarre name to me, but there are definitely worse baby names. Plus at least they’re sharing their baby’s name with the press. They even explained where the name came from. I appreciate when celebrities do that. Congratulations to Rachel and Hayden!

Amanda Bynes has been on the loose in LA for more than a week, after she was discharged from a psychiatric facility just days after her parents had secured a conservatorship over her financial and medical situation. Amanda says she was diagnosed as bipolar and manic-depressive, but she also said she had a microchip implanted in her head at one point.
There are some concerns about how Amanda is living while not being institutionalized or taking any kind of help from her parents. Well, it?s complicated. TMZ says that Amanda?s parents were trying to control her spending by giving her American Express gift cards, usually in the amount of $50 or $100, and that?s how she?s been paying for her expenses, which are mostly hotel and restaurant bills. TMZ says Amanda?s parents give the gift cards to Amanda?s lawyer and the lawyer parcels out the cards. This is all in an attempt to get Amanda to hit rock bottom because her parents are apparently ?burnt out? after dealing with all of Amanda?s drama. But it looks like her parents are the ones hitting their rock bottom:
The parents of Amanda Bynes are throwing in the towel … they’ll file legal docs in the next few days handing over the conservatorship over their daughter to someone else, and then they’re moving to Texas … TMZ has learned.
Sources familiar with the case tell TMZ … Amanda will now be under the thumb of a mental health professional who specializes in handling people with severe mental illnesses. Her parents will ask the judge to transfer conservatorship powers to that person.
We’re also told the parents have made arrangements to transfer power over financial matters to another person … presumably a money manager.
The parents are leaving California and will move to Texas to be near their older daughter.
Both parents are saying they know they’ve struck out with Amanda and don’t have what it takes to effectively control her. They’re hoping once someone else controls Amanda’s finances, she’ll stop lashing out at them and they can have a relationship … even though it will be long distance.

Well, that?s one way of handling it. I mean? I can see why Amanda?s parents are feeling like they can?t do any more for her. It?s really difficult to try to look after a family member ? I?ve done it, and my situation didn?t involve caring for someone with a profound mental illness. And I still got burnt out. Quite honestly, Amanda?s parents might be doing the best thing for her by handing over her treatment/situation to professionals. She IS a public health risk and the state of California needs to start treating her as such.
People Mag also had coverage of this, and their sources basically say the same thing only they’re trying to put a happier spin on it. Lynn is relinquishing control of Amanda’s conservatorship because she cares about Amanda so much. the plan involves getting Amanda some live-in conservator, which is basically what Britney Spears has with her father. Her father lives with her and controls every aspect of her life. Something tells me that Amanda isn’t going to like this arrangement any better.
