On Thursday, Kamala Harris?s campaign confirmed that Beyonce would appear at VP Harris?s rally in Houston, Texas the next day. We had been there before, and a lot of us still felt burned by what went down at the Democratic National Convention, when everyone thought Bey would turn up but it ended up being Leon Panetta. Well, long story short, Beyonce came out! The rally started later than people expected, and there were more guest stars Willie Nelson performed, Jessica Alba spoke, Senate candidate Colin Allred got things rowdy, and then Tina Knowles (formerly Lawson) spoke. Then Tina introduced her daughters, Beyonce and Kelly Rowland. You guys remember Beyonce?s Verizon ad during the Super Bowl? Turns out she really is BOTUS Beyonce of the United States. Kelly was amazing too! Here?s the video of both Kelly and Beyonce?s speeches:
Both Kelly and Beyonce spoke like civil rights leaders, did you notice that? That?s what they are women?s rights are civil rights. Reproductive rights are civil rights. That was the whole point of staging this rally in Houston Texas is ground zero for the war on women and the war on reproductive freedom. Yes, Kamala Harris wanted to give a boost to Colin Allred?s chance to unseat Ted Cruz. But VP Harris wants people to know that reproductive rights will be front and center in her presidency. I was so moved by Kelly?s speech and Beyonce?s speech too. I keep getting goosebumps every time I watch the videos.
Reportedly, this was the largest rally of the Harris-Walz campaign by sheer turnout over 30,000 supporters poured into the venue, out of the 1.5 million people who applied for a place. It?s an important reminder for Democrats to give some time to states, cities and areas which are not traditionally undecided or swing. It?s worth it to go into red states. So many Texans were inspired that VP Harris made time to campaign in their state so close to the election. VP Harris probably got millions of dollars worth of free media by going to Texas and doing this event with Beyonce, Kelly and Willie. I bet the event inspired so many Texans to get more involved in this election and future elections.
Thank you, @Beyonce and @kellyrowland. pic.twitter.com/rgAOkEUZV7

This is unsurprising, even if I had zero clue about Danica Patrick?s politics before this week. Danica is a former NASCAR driver and she dated Aaron ?Anti-Vaxx Nutjob? Rodgers for two years, 2020-2022. A few days ago, Danica gave an interview to Fox News about her plans to vote for the first time ever this year. She?s 42 years old and she?s never voted before now. In her Fox News interview, she came across like the embodiment of ?deep as a puddle.?
Former NASCAR star Danica Patrick confirmed on ?Jesse Watters Primetime? that she has never voted in a presidential election in her life, but that will be changing in 2024. And shes revealed who she will be voting for come Election Day.
It feels like voting for Donald Trump is like the vote of reason. It?s like the rational, reasonable choice, Patrick told Watters.
Patrick added that she doesnt understand why MAGA, or Trumps slogan of Make America Great Again, is considered an insult to some. Patrick also feels like theres a big divide between men and women right now when voting for Trump, and she explained why one of the common reasons shes heard people wont vote for the former president isnt good enough.
There is a difference definitely between the way that men and women are voting, and I think maybe one of the reasons why women are having a harder time with the vote is just his personality, she said. That?s the most common answer you hear from people. ?I just can?t vote for him.? I don?t think that?s a good enough reason. You don?t have to go to dinner with him. You just have to like the country that you live in.
Patrick and Watters also discussed Trump surprising McDonalds diners in Pennsylvania this past week, where the former racecar driver said it showed everyone the qualities she likes most about him.
I think that he has a great sense of humor, she began. I think that he is a man amongst the people. I feel like when you wrap that up with the humility that he has, the sense of humor that he has, the off-the-cuff confidence that he has. His ability to go so unscripted and be in so many scenarios where he has to essentially be himself, it?s pretty much all of them. That?s not just something you see from the other side, which I think is one of the most endearing and important qualities about him is that he is just being him.
[From Fox News]
This is the reason why so many women of color side-eye the fk out of white women, btw. While there are millions of white women supporting Kamala Harris not to mention supporting their own self-interest!! there are also millions of white women who are eager to be handmaidens in Trumplandia. White women who cannot wait to vote for their white privilege instead of voting for their rights, their humanity, their full citizenship in this country. Danica believes that another Trump presidency would benefit her personally (it would not). Anyway, Danica revealed on Twitter today that she voted early for Trump. I looked it up she lives in Arizona? So, a swing state. Despicable.
I voted today, for the first time. ? I made a rule for myself that if I didn?t vote I could not have an opinion about the outcome, because I didn?t earn that right. Not this time. I voted for @realdonaldtrump and I can?t wait to have him make America great again! pic.twitter.com/tN1a0KwmEJ

Anna Kendrick is currently promoting the Netflix movie Woman of the Hour. It?s a film based on the true story of serial killer Rodney Alcala, who appeared on The Dating Game in the 1970s at the height of his killing spree. Anna plays Cheryl, a contestant on The Dating Game, and Anna stepped in as director when the original director left the project. Anna is still feeling really raw in 2022, she spoke about leaving a long-term relationship which had been emotionally and psychologically abusive. Because of that abuse, Anna basically can?t do comedies or anything lighthearted anymore, and she?s working through that years-long abuse through her art and her interviews. She recently spoke to the Independent about the past relationship and Woman of the Hour some highlights:
Feeling unsafe is a universal experience for women: ?Unfortunately, I do know that moment where you?re in a room with someone and wondering: ?How is it that 10 seconds ago I thought everything was going fine, and now I?m not safe?? And I think that?s something a lot of people know really well. Especially women.?
Her past relationship: In 2022, Kendrick began to speak publicly about her relationship with a man whom she has described as ?for all intents and purposes my husband?. They were together for just over six years, during which ? she has alleged ? she experienced ?emotional abuse and psychological abuse? It?s hard to talk about Kendrick?s work without talking about her personal life, too. She agrees, even if a part of her hates it. ?For a second, I did think that interviews for this film would just involve me being asked about every member of the cast and the crew, and I?d just gush about them and? But so far, no one?s asked me about the sound team.?
The misogyny within ?Woman of the Hour?: ?It does feel like the most revealing piece of work I?ve ever done. It created a window into my mind. Sometimes the most torturous thing isn?t just the disrespect or mistreatment, but the fact that everyone?s acting like it?s not happening. Which then convinces you that something?s not happening. It makes you question whether you?re making all of it up, or if you?re being paranoid or too sensitive.? She?s talking about gaslighting. ?You sound crazy. You?re dismissed. ?He brushed your hair off your shoulder ? that?s nothing.? And yet when you?re there, you can feel the threat that?s hanging in the room.?
Why she took a break from acting & can?t do comedies any

Kanye West is probably still with his wife Bianca Censori, and for years now, he seems committed to making a horse?s ass out of himself at all times. That?s how it?s been ever since his divorce from Kim Kardashian was finalized, although I would argue that his mental health was in a steep decline for years during his marriage to Kim. In any case, Kim walked away and she?s got their kids almost all of the time. I still believe that Kanye only really cares about North and not the other kids, so North is the only one with any kind of relationship with Ye. Speaking of, Kim Kardashian turned 44 on October 21st, and ?sources close to Kim? did a status report on what?s going on with Kim?s life these days. I mentioned that Kim and the other K-Js have been suspiciously quiet in recent months, but maybe that?s because Kim is just being a single mom and focused on her businesses?
Kim Kardashian is navigating parenthood largely without her ex Kanye West, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. On Monday, Oct. 21, a source close to the reality star, 44, tells PEOPLE that Kardashians life revolves around her and Wests four kids: daughters North, 11, and Chicago, 6, and sons Saint, 8, and Psalm, 5. The source notes that Kardashian is pretty much a single mom, as West, 47, is often not around.
Kanye is sadly not around very much. Shes pretty much a single mom, the insider tells PEOPLE. Although she has help, its still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything.
The source continues, Kims life is around her kids schedules. When they are in school, she works. When they are off, shes very much focused on being a mom. They add that the SKIMS co-founder is not even dating anyone now. Its all about work and the kids.
A rep for West did not immediately respond to PEOPLEs request for comment.
[From People]
Yeah, I totally believe that Kanye isn?t around for the other three kids, but he does see North somewhat regularly. Which probably causes some issues in Kim?s house too, if Kanye is so blatantly playing favorites with the kids. I don?t envy Kim, although I will say that? this is what she wanted. She wanted four kids. She knew she was probably going to raise them by herself too. I sort of believe that Kim isn?t dating anyone as well the fastest way to get Kanye suddenly demanding to be ?involved? with his kids is for Kim to get a boyfriend. I also think that?s why Kanye treats Bianca like a doll too it?s not about Bianca, it?s about Kanye showing Kim that he?s ?replaced? her with a new doll.

Amy Adams is currently promoting Nightbitch, adapted from Rachel Yoder?s book of the same name. It?s about a new mother who gives up her career for her baby and starts to feel like she?s turning into a dog. When the film was announced, it reminded many 30 Rock fans of the kind of jokey film title in Tracy Jordan?s CV. But Nightbitch is real, and it premiered at TIFF, to mixed reviews. People love Amy Adams and people want the best for her. But no one is sure that this is the best project for her. Still, Amy loves the film and she?s very happy to talk about it. Amy covers the latest issue of Variety, and here are some highlights from the interview:
On her ?look? in Nightbitch: ?I?ve had people be like, ?Oh my gosh, you looked awful.? I was like, ?You do realize that?s what I look like in my life, right?? I love the metaphor of her connecting with a more primal and feral side of herself in order to learn how to let go and be present and engaged and flexible and find her joy.?
When she became a mother to her now-14-year-old daughter Aviana: ?Every moment needed to be dedicated to the care and keeping of my child,? she says, adding that, while her relationship with Le Gallo was ?more equitable? than the marriage in ?Nightbitch,? it was tough to be the first of her friend group to become a mother. ?Motherhood did redirect my priorities. And I think that changed some relationships. That was hard, but I don?t think it?s uncommon.?
The Nightbitch chin hairs were grown by Adams, they weren?t CGI: In an early scene, Mother discovers new hair growing on her chin, and Adams eagerly volunteered to grow the hair herself. ?The hair on the face ? that was mine,? she says proudly. ?I saw it as a wonderful expression of the human experience without any artifice or filters. Or tweezers! I have that kind of hair that just grows overnight. One day it?s not there, and the next day it?s like I?m a catfish. That might turn some people away.?
On the mixed reviews: ?It could be polarizing. I?m kind of like, ?If you know, you know!? It deals with friendship, community, relationships, motherhood, parenthood. It hits on a lot of different ancestral wounds. So if it hits you, that?ll make me really happy.?
A six-time Oscar nominee, with no wins: ?I am entirely grateful for it, and it also draws attention to films that might not otherwise get eyes on them.?
On Rachel Brosnahan taking the Lois Lane role in James Gunn?s ?Superman.? ?I love her. She?s gonna be great. Hopefully the role will be infused with her sensibility and her natural humor and strength and wit,? Adams says, also confirming that she was never under the impression she?d be returning for more ?Superman? adventures after her final appearance in ?Justice League.? She makes a point to praise her own Man of Steel, Henry Cavill, adding, ?Henry was a really brilliant Superman. I offer every Superman luck and stuff, but I think he was great. I just wanted to say that. It?s so in his spirit?.Coming from theater, a role never belongs to you. You just do a take on it. That?s how I feel about that franchise.?
Working with 22-year-old Jenna Ortega: ?I learn so much from the young women that I work with. I feel like I learn more from them than they could ever learn from me. I do forget that I?m not their age sometimes. I?m like, ?Amy, you?re 50. You?re not gonna hang!??
Life as a 50-year-old woman: ?It gets so much better. But there are things I miss: my joints working, collagen, things like that.?
[From Variety]
Amy?s admission that she grew her chin hairs herself? omg. A brave new world for actresses, honestly. Some women many women? have facial hair. I tweeze my chin hairs at the same time I?m grooming my increasingly chaotic eyebrows. It IS catfish-like. As for thinking that she could hang with Jenna Ortega? that?s funny. I can actually picture their conversations and vibe together. Amy looking at Jenna with those wide eyes, thinking that Jenna is the coolest girl in the world. And Jenna is probably like? Amy should come to the club!

| | Angelina Jolie reportedly spent two nights with Akala in a London hotel' (update) | | Added 457 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
For months now, the British tabloids have been trying to make one particular story happen. That story? ?Angelina Jolie is dating British rapper Akala.? Nevermind that Akala seems to have a long-term partner, Chanelle Newman, who is also in business with Akala. Nevermind that Angelina seems to be friends with both Akala and Chanelle. Akala has stepped out to support Angelina frequently in recent months he went to Venice when she was there to premiere Maria. He?s also come out to support Angelina in LA and other cities, and he went to the BFI London premiere of Maria late last week too. Well, because Akala walked the carpet at the London film festival and because his friendship with Jolie is well established, now the tabloids claim that Jolie and Akala spent two nights together in London.
Angelina Jolie?s rumored romance with British rapper Akala is reportedly heating up. The ?Maleficent? star, 49, reportedly snuck the 40-year-old musician up to her hotel suite at The Corinthia in London last week, sources told the US Sun Monday.
?The pair spent Wednesday and Thursday night together inside the hotel and did not leave,? the insider shared, explaining Akala joined the actress two hours after she arrived. ?Akala was snuck out of the hotel via one of Angelina?s cars on Friday ? a couple of hours before the [British Film Institute] premiere for her new movie,? the source added, referring to Jolie?s forthcoming movie, ?Maria,? which was showed at the London Film Festival.
?They are using separate cars and secret entrances to keep their relationship under wraps, but it?s the real deal,? the insider continued.
The ?Eternals? star and Akala both attended the film festival, though they were photographed arriving separately. After the premiere, they cozied up for a romantic dinner at the exclusive Soho House, per the outlet. Reps for Jolie weren?t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
The ?Girl, Interrupted? star and Akala have been romantically linked since May 2024 when the latter attended the Calabash Literary Festival in Jamaica alongside Jolie and her daughters Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 18. The singer, most recently, accompanied the ?Mr. & Mrs. Smith? star to a party at her Atelier Jolie art room in New York City on Sept. 28. That same week, Akala also tagged along to the premiere of ?Maria? at the New York Film Festival hosted at Alice Lincoln Center?s Tully Hall. While InTouch reported that the duo had been seeing each other for at least a year, a source told People in August that they are not dating.
[From Page Six]
Yeah, I have no idea. For months, I?ve believed that the tabloids were making mountains out of molehills, not to mention being disrespectful towards Chanelle. But who knows. Given the way Akala has been showing up for Jolie for months now, it does feel like more than a friendship. I?ll also say that given the way Akala has been showing up for Jolie, it feels like his situation with Chanelle might be different than ?they?re together/they?re partners.? Like, if your boyfriend/partner is flying all over the place to support Angelina Jolie, that?s probably a red flag? I really don?t know.
Update: People Mag has a new story emphasizing that Angelina & Akala are just good friends. This whole thing is so strange.

Last month, I quietly clocked the fact that Jennifer Lawrence totally skipped Paris Fashion Week. In recent years, the Dior shows are one of Jennifer?s few public outings, as she?s been repping Dior for a decade or longer. I thought ?hey, that?s interesting that Dior?s most prominent ambassador skipped their show but who knows what?s really going on.? Well, I wonder if this is what was going on Jennifer is pregnant, again!
Jennifer Lawrences family is growing!
The No Hard Feelings actress, 34, and husband Cooke Maroney, 40, are expecting their second baby, sharing the news via a Vogue Instagram post and article on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney, the magazine wrote in the caption of the post, adding that representatives for Lawrence had confirmed the happy news to the outlet.
Representatives for the actress did not immediately respond to PEOPLEs request for comment.
The couple ? who wed in October 2019 ? are already parents to son Cy, 2, who they welcomed in February 2022.
[From People]
I?m happy for her. She got to a point, I would say pre-pandemic, where she was so overexposed and really yearning for a more stable life with a husband and children. She clearly loves being a mom and it would not surprise me at all if she ends up with three or four kids total. I don?t know how far along she is, but that Vogue IG shows that her bump is pretty tiny. If her first pregnancy was any indication, she?s probably barely going to be photographed during her second pregnancy as well. Does she have any promotional tours coming up? Let me look?nope. She has several projects in development, including that Real Housewives-esque movie, The Wives. She?ll either have to shoot that pregnant or they?ll hit pause on it for a year.

Angelina Jolie stepped out on Friday at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Pablo Larrain?s Maria. Pablo was there too, and they looked like they were about to do an artsy remake of Ocean?s Eleven. I?ve been trying to keep track of how many festivals Angelina has attended this year so far: Venice, Telluride, Toronto, New York, now London and soon the AFI Fest in LA. All of this is ahead of the December release date a limited theatrical run and a big premiere on Netflix. Fingers crossed that Netflix puts some money in this Oscar campaign.
As for Angelina?s look in London? it?s interesting because she eschewed the sack dresses she?s favored in recent years, and she went for a much more old-school look. Back in her 20s, Angelina rarely wore dresses. She was all about leather pants and menswear. In London, she wore a three-piece tuxedo suit from Dolce & Gabbana?s menswear collection. Maybe she?s doing this with some kind of agenda, but my first thought was ?of course she?s wearing menswear, all of the women?s suits these days are absurd.? Women?s suits have giant shoulder pads or puffed out shoulders or too-long sleeved or weird darting or terrible collars. Jolie was like? no thanks, I want a normal suit jacket. I like this look from the hips up the pants are not great. But I like the boots.
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival always encourages would-be Oscar-campaigners to make the trek to shill their movies by the beach every awards season, usually in late January or early February. It will be the same next year, and Santa Barbara really wants Angelina to come out. So they?re giving her an award the Maltin Modern Master Award, named after film critic Leonard Maltin. Maltin told Variety: ?Angelina Jolie makes bold choices, both as an actress and as a director. She sets the bar high in both disciplines and always comes through. I look forward to reviewing her career with her in Santa Barbara!? That should be really nice.

Keri Russell is promoting The Diplomat Season 2, which comes out just days before the presidential election. Keri covers the latest issue of Variety, and she talks about the election and the real-world politics of The Diplomat, as in? what does the international political and diplomatic world look like post-Trump? It?s barely acknowledged here in America, that four years of Trumpism severely strained our alliances with many countries. Keri plays a career diplomat unexpectedly tasked with becoming America?s ambassador to the UK. Shenanigans ensue. Some highlights from Variety:
Keri on whether she?ll endorse Kamala Harris: ?If I had my wish, I would be invisible ? that?s who I am. I would give all the money in the world, but I would be invisible. Someone like George Clooney, he?s at an age, he should swing and swing hard.? And Taylor Swift? ?Oh, fking swing and swing big. She should absolutely be doing everything she?s doing. But nobody cares about me. I just want to be hidden in my little cave. But I will give, I mean, yes. And I?ve listened to every Ezra Klein podcast about her ? you know what I mean? I don?t think I?m gonna sway it one way or the other; I have no social media. But the heavy hitters should stand their ground. Listen, if someone asks me directly, I?m not gonna lie. I do think that Kamala will win.?
She doesn?t like playing girly, pretty characters: ?A gift about that show, and a little bit ?The Diplomat? too, is I got to wear these big baggy sweaters, and I hardly wore any makeup. I would watch the girls who were, like, the guest stars ? the beautiful girls who would come on and have to wear girl clothes? ? and I see how nervous that makes them. It?s hard to be beautiful; it?s much easier just to be in a big baggy sweatshirt and sneakers. Don?t get me wrong, I love the beauty of women, too, and I like dressing up, and I like, you know, wearing makeup when I need to. But there?s so much more to being a girl than that. And I think some girls get stuck in that, you know? It was such a gift to just get to wear big baggy sweaters and just get to be funny or smart. So I was less nervous.?
Divorcing her first husband Shane Deary & falling for Matthew Rhys: She has a son, River, now 17, and a daughter, Willa, 12 ? with her then-husband, Brooklyn contractor Shane Deary. They separated in 2013, and Russell and Rhys fell in love that same year while shooting the show?s first season ? she gave birth to their son, Sam, now 8, between its fourth and fifth seasons.
?I was in love with Matthew. We were, like, hot and heavy in love, shooting the spy stuff at night in disguises and wigs. I mean, it was such a fun, sexy time. So fun, oh my gosh.?
Deciding to do ?The Diplomat? & forcing Matthew to step up as a hands-on father: ?I have done the birthday cupcakes,? she told him. ?I have done the doctor?s appointments and the scary nights and the washing laundry. And I have been there. I?ve done the back rubs, but I want three months ? or a fking year! ? where I don?t. It?s someone else?s turn ? pick up the slack.? And he did. And it was hard. You know, Matthew was shooting at the time, too, and I?m sure that was hard, because he was trying to fly back and forth. And I was like, ?Yeah, it?s hard ? it?s called being a mom.??
[From Variety]
Keri really is so private and low-key that she never had to face down the would-be scandal of her first marriage ending because she had fallen in love with her costar. Like, it wasn?t even a blip in the gossip media. The thing about Keri telling Matthew to step up is really good too, because yes, he should be doing more and she wanted to do this amazing series. Men need to step up and be supportive partners, but it?s like pulling teeth most of the time.

| | Jerry Seinfeld: I was wrong when I claimed the 'extreme left' is ruining comedy | | Added 462 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
This past spring, Jerry Seinfeld gave a series of very strange interviews. He edged up to making some okay points about how the film and television industry has changed and how comedy has evolved. But then he bungled it by saying a lot of dumb sh-t so no one paid attention to what arguments he was actually trying to make. Like, he started out by complaining about the dearth of good-quality network comedies, then he blamed that dearth on ?the extreme left and P.C. crap, and people worrying so much about offending other people.? Well, months later, someone finally got to him. Seinfeld walked back all of that ?extreme left is destroying comedy? bullsh-t in a new podcast interview:
Jerry Seinfeld is walking back polarizing comments he made to The New Yorker in April while promoting his Netflix movie ?Unfrosted.? The comedian went viral for saying TV comedy had been killed by the extreme left and P.C. culture. Seinfeld noted at the time that ?people [are] worrying so much about offending other people? and comedy is suffering as a result.
Seinfeld is now taking those comments back. He appeared on the latest episode of his friend and fellow comedian Tom Papa?s ?Breaking Bread? podcast and said he ?regrets? blaming P.C. culture for destroying comedy.
?I said that the ?extreme left? has suppressed the art of comedy. I did say that. That?s not true,? Seinfeld said. ?It?s not true. If you?re a champion skier, you can put the gates anywhere you want on the mountain and you?re going to make the gate. That?s comedy. Whatever the culture is, we make the gate. You don?t make the gate, you?re out of the game. The game is where is the gate and how do I make the gate to get down the hill.?
?Does culture change and are there things that I used to say that [I can?t because] people are always moving [the gate]? Yes, but that?s the biggest and easiest target,? Seinfeld added. ?You can?t say certain words about groups. So what? The accuracy of your observation has to be 100 times finer than that just to be a comedian? So I don?t think, as I said, the ?extreme left? has done anything to inhibit the art of comedy.?
Seinfeld also refuted claims that he once said he would never perform at colleges because the students have become so P.C, saying: ?First of all, I never said it, but if you think I said it, it?s not true. I play colleges all the time. I have no problem with kids, performing for them. I was just at the University of Indiana. I do colleges all the time.?
[From Variety]
I?ve watched a few dozen of Seinfeld?s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee episodes, and from that show, I know that Seinfeld still longs for what he considers ?the good old days? of stand-up comedy. It also feels like he really tries to pay attention to what?s currently happening in stand-up, which means he actually knows that there?s still fertile ground to cover in comedy, even with the cultural shifts in what?s funny and what?s harmful. Basically, I think Seinfeld completely miscommunicated his outlook earlier this year, and he sat there and really listened to the conversation in the months since then. Maybe he even talked to comedians who are still doing stand-up and writing for network comedies and he was like ?you know what, I was wrong.?
