Happy (belated) Mother?s Day to those who celebrate! I spent mine gathering a urine sample from my fur baby, My Girl, which was immediately followed by a stranger asking if she was expecting. I responded as kindly as I could, ?Not pregnant, just fat.? Brooke Shields and her younger daughter, Grier Henchy, had a way cooler, certainly more sanitized activity to mark the day: they got matching tattoos. The sketch shows a woman?s feet in high heels standing next to little girl feet in the same adult-sized heels. Scott Campbell did the inking for Brooke and Grier, and later they both appeared on his Stupid Things for Love podcast to explain the meaning behind the design:
Brooke Shields and her 18-year-old daughter, Grier Henchy, celebrated Mother?s Day 2024 ? and her newfound adulthood ? by getting matching tattoos with an especially sweet meaning.
Tattoo artist Scott Campbell shared photos of the glamorous mom and daughter showing off their new ink on Instagram Sunday, along with a closeup of their matching high-heel tattoos.
Their design, which is sketched in black-and-white, features a child standing in too-big heels while standing toe-to-toe with her mom, who is wearing the same style of shoes.
Campbell ? who hosts the ?Stupid Things for Love? podcast ? interviewed Shields and Henchy for a special Mother?s Day episode on Sunday, and the ?Mother of the Bride? star, 58, shared the reasoning behind their shoe-themed tats.
?When she was still little, she would always just wear my shoes, no matter how teeny she was,? the actress said of her daughter, adding, ?her whole foot would fit into the toe box.?
The star said ?it was the cutest thing,? explaining how Grier would ?come out and have breakfast in her diaper and high heels, and then the night gown and high heels.?
?The tattoo you?re getting is so poetic of like, her growing into your shoes and wanting to be a model,? Campbell shared during the episode.
It seems like Grier has always admired her mother?s style, with the teen wearing Shields? old dresses on several occasions over the past year.
The budding model isn?t the only one who has a matching tattoo with mom.
Grier?s big sister, Rowan Henchy, 20, showed off a tiny ladybug tat on her ankle while posing with Shields on the ?Mother of the Bride? red carpet last week, while the ?Pretty Baby? star had the same design inked on her wrist.
?When my older daughter graduated from high school that was what she wanted, was to get a tattoo with me,? Shields shared during her podcast interview.

If ever I were to get a tattoo, I would want to do it like Brooke and Grier; a very specific design that evokes a personal memory. I also think it says a lot about how close both girls are with their mother, that as teenagers they?d request to get matching tattoos. I have a fun mom, but the thought of us getting tattoos together makes me laugh out loud. Between my squeamish-verging-on-histrionic behavior every time I need to get a shot or give blood, and my mother?s intense-approaching-dangerous-ticklishness every time she gets a pedicure, we?d be a menace to the parlor. We?d do damage to ourselves, the equipment, and other patrons.
In other Brooke Shields news ? no, not the results of her run for president of Actors Equity, those won?t come until May 23 ? she and Benjamin Bratt sat down with Entertainment Weekly to promote their Netflix movie, Mother of the Bride, and Brooke dropped some old tea on attending Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes? wedding in 2006. If you recall, it was on the heels of Cruise (who?s never given birth) publicly criticizing Brooke for taking medication to treat her postpartum depression. (Weird fact: Grier Henchy and Suri Cruise were born on the same day that year.) Cruise eventually apologized and then invited Brooke to the wedding, and that?s where her comments start:
?Of course, I was gonna say yes to that,? Shields says in a video. ?I was like, ?Yes. I will ? as long as I?m not the something old!??
According to Shields, Holmes then made a request. ?She goes, ?Oh, will you?? And I said, ?What? Bring myself as the something old???
?I had to, like, hunt antique places,? Shields said, ?to find the perfect, you know, gift to give her.?
Shields eventually found something appropriate ? and Victorian.
?It was a little compact that you put a ring?,? Shields said. ?So you?re supposed to be able to look at their reflection in it and have it around their finger.?
She added, ?It was really beautiful.?
What ended up not being so beautiful was the relationship between the bride and groom. They infamously split in June 2012.

Does anyone else have to keep reminding themselves that Rihanna is a mother of two? Her first pregnancy with son RZA was well-documented, but her second pregnancy was more low-key and I?m always like ?oh right, a second kid.? Baby Riot is only nine months old, while RZA just turned two years old on Monday, May 13. On RZA?s birthday, ASAP Rocky posted some photos of his happy family on Instagram (I?m including the IG at the end of the post)
Ahead of RZA?s birthday, Rihanna and ASAP hosted a private party at the Color Factory in NYC on Saturday. Rihanna invited producer President Hitkidd and her makeup artist Jazzy B. Rihanna was seen throughout the weekend in New York, yet another reminder that she was due to attend the Met Gala last week, but pulled out because she had the flu. She?s feeling better though. On Sunday, ASAP took Rihanna out for Mother?s Day as well those are the photos of Rihanna in the red Comme des Garcons top (vintage, from 2003). They had a date night without the kids for Mother?s Day. Sweet.
Are we going to fight about who these babies look like? Because I think both boys take after ASAP, although I see a little bit of Rihanna too.

Does anyone remember that really hot dude attractive young man who was working the Met Gala last year and appeared in the background of pictures with Kylie Jenner? His job that evening was to help her with ?whatever she needed.? There are several pictures of him assisting her and holding her purse that went viral on social media. Well, Hot Dude?s name is Eugenio Casnighi, and he?s a 26-year-old Italian model. This week, he went on TikTok, claiming that he?d been fired from working as a greeter at this year?s Gala because of the attention he received.
?I just got fired from the Met Gala,? he said in the video, which included various images of him working the event.
One was a viral clip of Jennie Kim from Blackpink being interviewed as Eugenio stood nearby. The original poster had written over text that they were trying to focus on the interview, but they were seemingly too stunned by Eugenios good looks. Eugenio said he was only just now speaking out because an alleged NDA had previously prevented him from talking about his experience.
?Funny enough, they fired me so I can say whatever I want now,? he stated. ?They fired me because I went viral last year.?
Eugenio claimed hed received the notice on Friday, just ahead of the 2024 Met Gala. Basically they said, ?You made it about yourself, so we can?t have you work there anymore. I?m sorry.?
As far as Eugenios past responsibilities, he said last year, his role was to stay near Kylie to assist with whatever she needed.
Its funny because the Met Gala [and my modeling agency] want models to work on the red carpet [because] they want people to get noticed, Eugenio claimed.
?They literally told me, We picked you because we like you more than other people to be with this celebrity.' But when photographers started snapping him, he said, thats when trouble started. When people took pictures of the actual celebrity?like Kylie Jenner and I was next to her?of course, I ended up in the picture, and they blamed me. They said, You made it about yourself.'

This really does suck for Eugenio, but as they say, that?s showbiz, kid. Sometimes, getting attention as an unknown model at an event gives you some career momentum. Other times, you accidentally upstage the wrong publicity-hungry family and they make a phone call that says, ?Off with his head? and then you suddenly find yourself without a job. Thems the breaks, kiddo.
In all seriousness, I am sorry that Eugenio lost his job. It?s not fair. He didn?t ask to be photographed or to go viral for his looks, though Im sure it was thrilling to get noticed like that. I?m not sure if calling out the agency behind Anna Wintour?s big event is the right response, but hey, at least he?s getting some free attention right now. Maybe a new agent or someone will discover him and give him a chance. Best of luck, Eugenio. Hope we see you on another red carpet soon.

I?m sure there will be rumors that Gisele wasn?t invited to the gala, but guess what? I?m sure she was invited. She turned Anna Wintour down because she?s so busy these days:

The way this source is coming across, it does feel weird, like there?s another layer to Gisele skipping the gala, but sure. Gisele Bndchen is disappointed by the jokes made regarding her previous marriage to Tom Brady, during the Super Bowl champions Netflix roast. A source tells PEOPLE that the model, 43, is deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evenings roast show.
The source adds, As always, [Bndchens] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.
Brady, 46, was the guest of honor during Netflixs live special, The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady, at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif. on Sunday, May 5. The retired quarterback took in insults from friends and former teammates, including host Kevin Hart, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Nikki Glaser, Drew Bledsoe, Randy Moss and Kim Kardashian.
Hart, 44, first mocked Brady over Bndchens new boyfriend, her jiu-jitsu coach Joaquim Valente. Along with Hart, Glaser, 39, also went after Brady and his divorce, mocking the football star and remarking: You have seven rings. Well, eight now that Gisele gave hers back. Meanwhile, Bradys former teammates, Bledsoe and Edelman, also made jabs at the former couples previous marriage.
The source adds, This past week, Gisele has been tirelessly dedicated to aiding those in need in her home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which is grappling with the worst flooding in its history. She was concerned about family affected by the devastating floods, so to hear her life being joked about was very disappointing.

I won?t defend Gisele here, but maybe she doesn?t understand the concept of ?roasts?? Like, it?s a special kind of art form and I still can?t believe that Tom agreed to get roasted like that. Of course they were going to joke about his divorce. From what little I saw, Gisele wasn?t the butt of the jokes either they were making fun of Tom for fking up his marriage and calling HIM a dumbass. Why is Gisele coming across as so touchy and defensive in both of these People stories?

One of my favorite movies from the 1990s is Speed. It?s part of my action movie-loving origin story, lol. Speed stars Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves recently appeared on an episode of the 50 MPH podcast. They must have been the pod?s white whales, as it?s dedicated to talking about Speed! I believe this was Sandy?s first official interview since her partner, Bryan Randall, died. It?s nice to have her back and I wish her all the best. Every year, on April 23, I text my sisters the gif from Miss Congeniality, ha. I also love that movie! Anyway, during the 50 MPH episode, Keanu and Sandra talked about the first Speed, and whether they?d want to work together again. (Sandra and Keanu also co-starred in 2006?s The Lake House.) Yay, they do!
Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves are eager to reunite onscreen soon.
Bullock and Reeves, who famously costarred in 1994s Speed and 2006s The Lake House, appeared on the May 6 episode of the 50 MPH podcast ? a show entirely dedicated to the making of Speed ? where they discussed the action classic action and the possibility of working together again.
Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera, Bullock, 59, said, after the podcasts host Kris Tapley encouraged the pair to lobby for a third Speed movie. Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Maybe.
Reeves, also 59, said he holds a mutual interest in making a third movie with Bullock, whether it is a Speed sequel or not.
It does feel like it?s ? there is a siren call to it, he said. I think I would love to work with you again before our eyes close. We?d freakin? knock it out of the park.
Speed, directed by Jan de Bont, follows Reeves as a police officer in Los Angeles tasked with disarming a bomb on a bus full of passengers primed to explode if the vehicles speed drops below 50 miles per hour. Bullock portrays a bus passenger who steps in to drive the bus after its driver is wounded.
The movie made $118 million at the domestic box office and proved the seventh highest-grossing film of 1994 in the U.S. Bullock later starred in a sequel to the movie, titled Speed 2: Cruise Control, that was produced without Reeves and featured a hijacked cruise ship rather than a bus. Reeves has shared multiple times that he chose not to star in the sequel because he did not like its script.
While host Tapley did not ask Bullock to speak to her experience filming the sequel, the Oscar winner did suggest that a third Speed could simply pick up where the second left off and thanked the podcast for taking me down memory lane.
I mean, I realize how much I block out and it?s nice to reflect on something that?s sweet. There?s not a lot of sweet, but, I just now I?m sort of filled with a full heart, Bullock said. I?m a little weepy, you know? It was a good time. It was a really good time. And we were very lucky. I was very lucky on many levels.?

I would LOVE to see Sandra and Keanu do another movie together, but I really hope it?s not another Speed sequel. There?s no need to add it to the growing list of movies and franchises that have been revived or remade. We?re good! Instead, the only existing franchise that I?d MAYBE accept the two of them in is if Sandra tapped into her inner action star and joined Keanu to kick ass in the next John Wick. I can always use more John Wick in my life. (A requisite moment of silence for the amazing Lance Reddick.) But really, I?d love to see them do something new and different. And yes, I did see The Lake House but honestly, it was 18 years ago, and I can?t remember that much about it other than it felt like it was very long. Come on, Hollywood. Make this happen.

Kendall Jenner went for a vintage look at this year?s Met Gala. This is an archival Givenchy from 1999, meaning Alexander McQueen designed it. A lot of women had designers pull archived pieces and then based something new on those vintage looks. Not Kendall. I?ll say this though I doubt Givenchy had to make any alterations, I?m sure she just fit into the archive look. That being said, if you?re going to the trouble of asking Givenchy for an archived piece, surely you would want something better than this??
Sydney Sweeney in Miu Miu. SO BAD. I hope that?s a wig. I hope this is just a phase.
I?ll give Jessica Biel some credit: her styling was ass, her Tamara Ralph gown looked like she was being attacked by birds, but at least she wore a lovely color.
Naomi Campbell also wore a lovely color this is Burberry. To call this on-theme would probably be a reach, but she?s Naomi. She just wanted to wear a great dress and she did.
Alia Bhatt wore this gorgeous Sabyasachi saree. I loved this!

Sarah Jessica Parker is notorious for taking big swings at the Met Gala. Either SJP?s Met Gala ensemble is one of the best looks or one of the worst. You decide what happened this year. SJP wore a very structured Richard Quinn gown with a Philip Treacy hat. When I first saw this, it struck me that she interpreted the theme as ?garden party,? and leaned into the sort of ?fashion for an English garden.? We will see very similar looks at Royal Ascot this year, as well as Buckingham Palace?s garden parties, I?m just saying. Andy Cohen was her date, per usual.
I was surprised that Uma Thurman came out for the gala. She wore a custom Tory Burch, and Burch told Vogue that the look was based on an extinct butterfly, the American Xerces Blue. Which is weird, because the whole thing just looks like a taffeta prom dress.
Speaking of not really understanding the theme, here are Stella McCartney and the people she dressed: FKA Twigs, Cara Delivingne and Ed Sheeran. There?s a lot going on here and none of it is good!

Two women got prominent Balmain looks for the 2024 Met Gala: Elle Fanning and Tyla. Elle?s Balmain was supposed to look like a sculpture, with birds ?holding up? the glassy/icy dress. It was a really cool effect, and she looked amazing. I would have liked to see her do more with her hair and makeup, but honestly, I trust her judgment. She loves fashion, she really thinks about what she?s doing and saying with her red carpet looks, and she was definitely one of my favorites.
As for Tyla? so many women heard something about ?the sands of time,? and they used it as an excuse to wear beige. TO THE MET GALA. At least Tyla actually wore SAND. Her Balmain dress was literally made out of sand, and she carried an ?hourglass clutch.? Her Balmain was so delicate, she had to be carried up the steps of the gala. This was ?A Star Is Born? moment for Tyla, who I had honestly never heard of before last night. But she won over so many fashion people and she got a lot of coverage.

The Prada people have us on our mailing list, so I am definitely biased towards them, but Brie Larsons cool-looking Prada cage gown was one of my favorites. Their promotional email describes it as a pencil dress in orange and copper gradient cloquet featuring embroidered degrad crystals, inspired by the Fall/Winter 2007 collection, paired with a cage dress in lilac crinoline inspired by the Fall/Winter 2024 collection. The look is finished with gold brushed leather sandals and clutch. She looks amazing and Im loving how much shes been owning the red carpet lately. This look reminds me of the little tents you put on plants and flowers so that theyre protected. If thats what they were going for its such a clever interpretation of the theme.
