Brie Larson has had such an odd career. She?s an eccentric person, and I would guess that she?s mostly going on vibes when she chooses projects. She went from smaller roles in TV shows and movies, usually comedies, then dramatically won an Oscar for Room. After her Best Actress Oscar, she tried to do the indie-princess thing, but ended up appearing in King Kong and then, several years later, signed a Marvel contract (to much dismay from the fanboys). Her most recent big project was Lessons in Chemistry for AppleTV+ (she got an Emmy nom). Now she?s going to the stage. She won the lead in a London production of Elektra, the Greek tragedy. She decided to dramatically cut her hair for the role this pixie cut really transforms her face. Suddenly she looks like a young Olivia Colman???
Brie Larson?s bold new haircut is electric. The Captain Marvel star looked almost unrecognizable after she debuted the tightly cropped pixie cut. In a Nov. 25 Instagram post, Brie wrote, ?Elektra is here.?
The 35-year-old is playing the mythological character of Elektra in an upcoming stage production of the same name for a limited run in Brighton, England?s Theatre Royal Jan. 13 through 18 and London?s Duke of York Theater, Jan. 24 through April 12.
The production will be based off classicist Anne Carsons translation of the Sophocles-written Greek tragedy. The synopsis for the play reads: ?Elektra, haunted by her fathers assassination, is consumed by grief; a need for survival; and a thirst for vengeance. When her long lost brother Orestes at last returns, she urges him to a savage and terrifying conclusion but at what cost??
Brie will be joined on stage by actors Stockard Channing, Marime Diouf, Greg Hicks, and Patrick Vaill in the play directed by Daniel Fish.

It?s been years since I read Sophocles, because I was reading the Wiki page for Elektra like ?what??? Maybe I never studied this play. Greek mythology, man. So much fun, such great roles for actors. This sounds like a really interesting career choice for Brie, and I?m sure she?ll enjoy being out of America in the coming months. As for the haircut? as I said, I would not have recognized her whatsoever. I had no idea that she looks so similar to Olivia Colman! It?s not just the haircut the dye job makes Brie look radically different too.

This completely slipped off my radar, but Moana 2 is out in theaters this upcoming weekend. Dwayne Johnson and Aulii Cravalho are returning as Maui and Moana, but Lin-Manuel Miranda didn?t come back to do the music. I love the first movie. I used to rock out to ?How Far I?ll Go? while cooking, haha. Does anyone else have any songs they belt out to for designated tasks? I have shower songs, cooking songs, cleaning songs, workout songs, etc. Anyway, with all of the excitement about Wicked, which I?m seeing on Wednesday night, and Gladiator II, which I saw on Saturday, I totally forgot M2 was a thing this holiday season as well.
Last week, AMC Theaters issued a reminder to all of us theatre kids not to sing along to Wicked. I think most theatergoers understand the proper etiquette, but people still decided to argue about it on social media. This week, Dwayne decided to weigh in on the debate. He?s on #TeamSingAlong and urged anyone who?s planning on seeing Moana 2 to please, feel free to sing along!
Dwayne Johnson has said fans should feel free to sing in the cinema, as he attended the UK premiere of Moana 2.
Especially if you love music, thats the fun part, the US star, aka The Rock, told BBC News on the red carpet.
Recently, there has been a debate on social media around whether people should sing along in cinemas, sparked by the release of Wicked a few days ago. Some have argued fans should be able to express their enjoyment as they like, while others say singing ruins other peoples experiences.
Johnson, however, made his views on cinema etiquette clear.
?Sing! You?ve paid your hard earned money for a ticket, and youve gone into a musical, and you?re into it. Sing, he said.
The original film followed an adventurous Polynesian teenage girl who sets on a mission across the ocean to save her people. Moana 2 reunites Moana and Maui three years later for a new voyage alongside a crew of ?unlikely seafarers?, Disney has said.

I think the obvious difference here is that Moana is a movie made for kids while Wicked is supposed to appeal to a broader, more mature audience. I don?t think anyone taking their kids to see a movie alongside dozens of other little kids expects a quiet setting. When we took our older son to see Cars 3 for his third birthday, it was crawling with kids who were standing up (but not running around), talking to one another and their parents, and just visibly having a great time. I kinda expect every movie geared towards kids under age 10 to be like that. That said, as an adult, I still would not sing out loud because?ya know, etiquette lol.
And while we?re talking about Dwayne, while at the Hawaii premiere of Moana 2 last week, he fulfilled five wishes from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. He arranged for transportation and a meet-and-greet with families and reportedly gave them gifts. His daughters, Jasmine, eight, and Tiana, six, were with him, which made it all the more special for Dwayne. I love this. It?s always really nice to hear these kinds of stories. I hope those five children had a blast at the premiere and sang out loud to their heart?s content.

It was a sweet moment when Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth ? Broadway?s original Elphaba and Glinda, respectively ? walked the red carpet together at the LA premiere of Wicked. But then I fell in love with Kristin even more when I saw that she had showed up earlier at the NY premiere, and posed for photos standing smack between new stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande at a separate NY screening. Do you get it?? They wouldn?t be there without her, LOL!! I?m not even being sarcastic when I say I love Kristin for it; she is the OG, after all, with classically trained pipes that have always been a) seemingly destined to voice Glinda, and b) kind of incomprehensible to come out of such a pint-sized frame. Anyway, I say get it, girl! But Kristin hasn?t only been stalking haunting following the yellow-bricked Wicked promo trail; she also has a new holiday partnership with HomeGoods. She helped the retailer launch their ?Deck the Everything Day? on November 1, and just spoke to Us Weekly about her holiday (and other) rituals:
Not normally one to decorate before Thanksgiving, Chenoweth tells Us she made an exception this year. ?I want a reason to smile. So, I will be getting out my tree November 1 and start decorating it and make myself feel better and I?m not going to feel bad about it,? she shares. ?And I want to encourage [fans], don?t feel guilty. Get out there, go to HomeGoods, get all your crap and come home and decorate.?
Us: When was the last time you did laundry?
Chenoweth: A few days ago? [Laughs] Maybe a couple months ago!
Us: What time do you wake up in the morning?
Chenoweth: I don?t like to get up before 11, and I don?t like to speak before noon. I?m a night owl. I entertain at night.
Us: What?s your favorite song to sing in the shower?
Chenoweth: Bette Midler?s ?The Rose.? [Singing] ?Some say love, it is a river ?? It?s not that challenging. It?s, like, five notes.
Us: What was the last show you streamed?
Chenoweth: Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. I?ve binged the whole thing. I met Chloe [Sevigny] one time. She?s amazing. Javier Bardem is amazing, and the two boys [Cooper Koch and Nicholas Alexander Chavez] are amazing. I don?t even know who they are.
Us: What?s your go-to DoorDash order?
Chenoweth: Olive Garden. Stars are just like us in this instance! I had it two nights ago. I had the endless salad and the spaghetti.
Us: What?s one task that you keep putting off?
Chenoweth: Getting my nails done. I hate it. It?s so time-consuming. But look at these nubs. I got to go.

Preferring not to wake up before 11am? Oh, bless you Kristin! And #JusticeForNightOwls! Seriously, we night owls can get such a bad rap, but it?s just sliding the hours of operation until later. And of course Kristin adds an extra layer with the not-talking until 12pm. I?m sure she?s arrived at that rule after decades of working as a professional singer (and yes, I am now imagining Kristin in the shower belting out ?The Rose.?). It reminds me of Bryan Cranston when he was playing LBJ in All The Way on Broadway; the show was so demanding vocally that he didn?t speak at all on Mondays, his one day off a week. Though I may not be an artist of the vocal arts like Kristin or Bryan, I?m still planning on adopting a practice of not speaking for at least an hour after getting up. But mainly because I?m a night owl operating in an early bird world and am perennially startled/disgruntled/bitter when the alarm goes off in the morning. It?s best for everyone if I refrain from verbalizing any thoughts in those deeply emotional first moments of alertness.

I love a v-neck sweater. So cozy, so sexy, so versatile. Angelina Jolie wore a black v-neck sweater and a dark grey pencil skirt in Torino, Italy today. She arrived at the Torino Film Festival and was promptly handed an award the Stella della Mole prize, a sort of lifetime achievement for her acting career. She?s also at the film festival to promote Without Blood (which she directed). I love that she wore flats this is such a chic-yet-simple outfit. I really want to know where she got the sweater it looks like it?s either really expensive, or really mass-market, like something from Banana Republic. The coat is nice as well.
Meanwhile, Brad Pitt and his team keep trying to impose themselves on Angelina?s promotional autumn and winter. Last week, sources close to Brad told Page Six that Angelina was ?pushing his buttons? by bringing Knox as her date to the Governors Awards. Then Pitt?s team ran to the Daily Mail (one of the favorite outlets to leak to), telling the Mail that Brad?s parents haven?t seen the six kids for the past eight years. An insider told the Mail: ?Brad Pitts parents have not been able to see their beloved grandchildren for around eight years amid the ongoing divorce and legal battle between Brad and Angelina. Prior to the separation, they were a part of the kids? lives and they all spent a lot of time together. It is just heartbreaking to see that this is no longer the case.? The insider is very careful in how he words things, never directly saying ?Angelina has banned the children from speaking to their grandparents.? That?s probably because Angelina has likely done no such thing I would assume, given everything Brad has done to Angelina, that Brad is the one responsible for the estrangement between the kids and his parents.

Ye isn?t involved. It really is up to Kim to do all of the child-rearing and keep up with all of the kids? schools and activities. But this whole time, we?ve always believed that Kim has an army of nannies and helpers. I mean, she?s a billionaire on paper, she?s also still a ?law student,? of course she pays for nannies and helpers, right? Well, not according to Kim, who told a podcast that she?s ?basically raising four kids by myself here.?
Kim Kardashian admits she often feels ?alone? raising the four children she shares with ex Kanye West. During Tuesday?s episode of pal Zoe Winkler?s iHearRadio podcast, ?What In The Winkler,? the reality star addressed her co-parenting arrangement with her ex-husband. The episode was dropped just weeks after a source claimed to People that West has been an absent father.
?You and I have mostly connected on parenting and judgment, and you know, feeling like sometimes you?re in this alone,? Kardashian, 44, told Henry Winkler?s daughter. The Skims founder ? who shares North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, with West ? went on to confess that she also feels overwhelmed at times.
?Even though we have great support systems and we have people around us, but sometimes in the middle of the night when [the kids are] all sleeping in your bed, kicking you and crying and waking up, like, it is?,? she said before trailing off. ?It?s not something I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment. Or people will always jump to the, ?Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.? And I just think that no matter what kind of help I have, I?m basically raising four kids by myself.
Zoe called Kardashian?s current parenting situation ?insane,? to which the Hulu star replied, ?Yeah. I mean, even carpool this morning, I had five kids that I had to take, two came over, and everyone leaves and wants to leave at like, different times and wants different stuff. Zoe brought up in the podcast how the SKKN by Kim creator drives her children to school every morning. ?That?s what?s really important to me ? driving them to school every single day is just what I have to do no matter what [my] work schedule [is]. It?s really important to me. That?s just, like, my bonding time. That?s when I can get them up, get ready, but it?s madness.?

I?d also like to point out that? she?s the one who wanted four kids. Even when her marriage was on its last legs, she was still organizing a gestational carrier for the two younger kids. As we?ve covered, the Governors Awards happened over the weekend. The awards have become a must-attend event for anyone working a serious Oscar campaign, which is why we saw the likes of Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, and a slew of other stars and filmmakers hoping to become nominees in January. And Kevin Costner was there, dressed in a look overall best described as, ?Colonel Sanders does formalwear.? Kevin was presumably representing the only film he released this year, Horizon: An American Saga ? Chapter 1; The Audience Strikes Back? by not showing up at the theaters. Even after Kevin left his fan-favorite series Yellowstone to self-finance this passion project. The film bombed so badly in July that Horizon 2 was yanked from its August release date. But never fear! Kevin is determined to get the second movie to us, as he told E! News at the Governors Awards, along with his thoughts on the fan reactions to his character?s exit on Yellowstone:
The death of Kevin Costner?s Yellowstone character recently sent shockwaves beyond the boundaries of Dutton Ranch, with many viewers expressing outrage over how John Dutton III was killed off in the Paramount show.
But for the two-time Oscar winner, who said he actually pitched series creator Taylor Sheridan two different endings for his character, he?s not shaking in his boots over the fan backlash.
?Fans have a voice in things,? Costner exclusively told E! News at the 2024 Governors Awards in Los Angeles Nov. 17, ?and they choose to follow stuff.?
The 69-year-old added that he had pitched his character?s death to Sheridan ?a while back,? but it was ultimately up to producers on the exact way John would meet his maker.
?As Costner quipped, ?They do what they want to do. That?s fine with me.?
The actor announced his departure from the Western series in June, explaining that he was ?not going to be able to continue? filming due to scheduling conflicts with his four-part movie anthology Horizon: An American Saga.
?It was something that really changed me,? Costner ? who starred on Yellowstone for four and a half seasons ? said in a statement of working on the series. ?I love the relationship we?ve been able to develop and I?ll see you at the movies.?
The first installment of Horizon premiered in June. So, when can fans expect the second chapter of the saga to drop?
?I?m gonna try to figure that out,? he told E! News with a laugh. ?I make these things, I will figure out how to get it to an audience.?
Costner added that Horizon: An American Saga ? Chapter 2 will ?tie in? with the first installment, while he?s ?trying to figure out? the third and fourth chapters.
?Everybody has an impress that maybe things come to me easily,? he noted. ?I think projects do come to me. But when it comes to something I want to do, sometimes it?s a bigger struggle.?
But Costner is up for the challenge.
?If this is what it has to be for me to bring a movie to America and around the world,? he continued, ?that?s what I?ll do.?

Ok, Kevin, the struggle is real. And thank you, Sherlock, for clarifying that the second film will ?tie in? to the first. For what it?s worth, I?ve been tracking the saga of Kevin?s American Saga for months now, and this is least certain he?s sounded about Horizon 3 & 4. What does ?trying to figure out? mean exactly? Are we talking financing, scheduling/logistics, or story-wise? Because if basic storylines are still up in the air, I?d say it?s time to cut the covered-wagon loose already! But no, clearly Kevin is committed to gifting America ? and the world at large ? with these films that will stand the test of time, he swears! He?s the Don Quixote of films about American westward expansion, and his quest cannot be stopped. It?s particularly funny after Kevin spoke so clearly about fans having ?a voice in things,? and a choice in what to follow. But that?s just for Yellowstone, not Horizon? Perhaps if he builds the movie theater, the audience will come.

It?s finally here! This week Cher released Cher: The Memoir, Part One (a title I still maintain is woefully boring for such a dynamic, groovy woman). Why has Cher split her memoir into two parts? Also, Cher and her editor found that a natural divide happened in her story so that Part One focuses on Cher-the-singer, while Part Two begins with her relaunching herself as Cher-the-actor. While Sonny offered an escape from her unstable upbringing, as their fame exploded, the marriage became another untenable living situation for Cher. Success made Sonny controlling, to the extent where he legally set up Cher as an employee under a business entity he named ?Cher Enterprises.? He also took all of her money, and if Cher could turn back time, she?d like to ask him why on earth he did that.
?He took all my money,? Cher said in an interview with The New York Times, which was published on Sunday, ahead of the debut for the first volume of her two-part book, ?Cher: The Memoir.? ?I just thought, We?re husband and wife. Half the things are his, half the things are mine. It didn?t occur to me that there was another way.?
Cher and Bono are best known as the pop duo and television variety team Sonny & Cher. But behind closed doors, Cher says Bono was like a ?parent? who at one point took advantage of her financially. The two met when Cher was 16 and Bono was 27, a relationship she wouldn?t label as a ?#MeToo moment? because she ?lied? to him about her age.
In an effort to avoid living with her mother at the time, she took up rooming with Bono in exchange for cleaning and cooking services. However, a couple years later, they married in 1964 and had children. And as the couple grew into their stardom, Cher says Sonny became emotionally abusive and developed a ?my way or the highway? mentality, stating Bono set their business up so that Cher was his employee.
?To this day,? Cher added, ?I wish to God I could just ask, ?Son, at what point, during what day, did you go, ?Yeah, you know what? I?m going to take her money.??
The pair got a divorce in 1975, and Bono died in a skiing accident in 1998.
?I woke up one morning ? early, like 5 ? and I just thought, I?m not going to do this anymore. I?m going to leave him,? Cher explained, adding that she told Bono that she wanted to pursue an intimate relationship with the group?s guitarist, and eventually did. ?I started to put into place a plan that was so dangerous that I don?t know how I had the nerve to do it.?
It wasn?t until her relationship with film producer David Geffen that she became financially literate.
?I didn?t know how to make a check out. I didn?t have a banking account,? Cher said. Nevertheless, Cher went on to become a household name separate from the one she married into, carving out her own lane in the industry.

For shame, Sonny. Seizing control of a partner?s (or anyone?s) finances so they?re completely dependent on you is classic abusive behavior. Cher is a fierce mama for finding her way out and believing in life after love. She knew that she?d get through it, cause she knew that she was strong, and she didn?t need him anymore. She didn?t need Sonny anymore. And to be fair to her about her lack of banking and check writing expertise, Cher and Sonny divorced in 1975. That was only one year after the Equal Credit Opportunity Act passed that allowed women to open bank accounts on their own. 50 years later and I still think we don?t educate teens enough about basic financing, but I digress?
The NY Times article is an interesting read, with some fabulous throwaway lines, like this one about her boyfriend Alexander Edwards: ?These days, Cher enjoys her time with Edwards, whom she met two years ago after she complimented his diamond-studded teeth.? During his Super Bowl half-time performance earlier this year, Usher broke out his roller skates and skated along to the choreography for his songs, ?Bad Girl? and ?OMG.? It was really fun! Since he?s also incorporated skating into his tours, I assumed that it was just a part of his schtick, like how Pink does the acrobat thing. As it turns out, Usher is really into roller skating culture. He even credits it with keeping him young. In fact, Usher is such a big fan of roller skating that he and model Liberty Ross (#random) are opening the very first ?full-service skating rink residency? in Las Vegas, called Flippers Roller Boogie Palace. The rink will be at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas? TAO Beach.
This is kind of a victory lap for Las Vegas, he tells PEOPLE at the Flippers grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 16. He kicked off the star-studded event by skating throughout The Venetian as guests cheered him on.
It really all started with my residency and we had a second residency and we played the Super Bowl. We went to Paris. Now coming back with this tour, Im in the flow, having a good time, enjoying and doing things that I really love.
When it comes to the secret behind maintaining his youthful good looks, physique and energetic spirit, skating has always kept me young, reveals the star, and its something that I feel is a necessity for youth nowadays. Everybody spends so much time scrolling. We want you to roll, come out, get active, come and have a good time.
Stars Dr. Dre and Dita Von Teese turned out for the occasion, joining hundreds of attendees. As for roller skating novices, Usher wants them to hit the rink, too. Theres no judgment here, he says. You fall, you get back up. We invite the entire family to come.
Having skated since he was a kid, the star has a deeper connection to the activity. Its a form of self care, Usher says. The freedom and expression, I really feel like its a language when you get deeper into the cultures of skating for rhythm, period. And people need to understand how fun this really is.
Usher hopes he can convince some of his superstar pals to lace up a pair soon. Dre, Snoop and Pharrell getting out here would be crazy, he says. NWA came up through skaters, a lot of those early hip hop bands could only get space to perform in the roller rinks. I can still remember as a kid performing in rinks. Its always been the grounds for culture.
And Usher says youre much more likely to find him at the rink than in the kitchen this holiday season. I wouldnt bank on me for your Thanksgiving dinner, he says with a smile. No, no. I might be able to do some mac and cheese and a little banana pudding but thats about it.

If you had Usher being a huge off-stage roller skating affinado on your bingo card, congratulations! I love that he credits it with keeping him young. It?s awesome when you find that one thing that brings you to your happy place, even if it?s just a momentary escape. For me, that?s hiking or taking a walk. It?s tough to find your peace nowadays, but it?s also more crucial than ever now to identify it and do some self-care.
As for the rink itself, this is actually pretty cool. Roller skating is definitely one of those niche activities that Millennials and older will absolutely try at least once for the nostalgia factor. I remember how big roller skating (and then roller blading) was when I was growing up. We had some fun rinks on Long Island back in the day. There is only one place in the area where I live now, and when we pass it, I?m always surprised by how busy it is. My son has been to a few birthday parties there and it really is a throwback. I need to set up an adult skating party one of these days.

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves are the co-owners of a new tequila company, Pantalones Organic Tequila. They launched it last year. To market the brand, Camila and Matthew have been posing for a series of pictures in which Matthew isn?t wearing any pants. Get it? ?Pantalones? means ?pants,? so he?s going pantless to promote it? Yeah. One of the ads they did recreates the famous poster for Matthew and Kate Hudson?s movie, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, with Camila standing in for Kate and Matthew wearing his suit jacket with no pants. The ad is titled, How to Lose Your Pants in 10 Ways.
Matthew McConaughey is putting a cheeky spin on one of his most memorable movies. The actor teamed up with wife Camila Alves McConaughey to recreate the iconic poster for his 2003 romantic comedy How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Although, in the reenactment for the couple?s Pantalones Tequila brand, he ditches his full suit for a more casual look.
In the poster titled How to Lose Your Pants in 10 Ways, the Oscar winner opted to go trouser-free in a nod to the tequila brand?s name, which is Spanish for ?pants.? As for Camila, she leaned on her husband in a yellow silk dress identical to the one worn by Kate Hudson, who starred alongside Matthew in the film.
Along with the poster, the brand also launched ten new cocktail recipes inspired by the classic comedy including ?Yellow Dress,? ?Rom Com Rita? and ?You?re So Vain,? a nod to one of the movie?s most unforgettable scenes.
The stunt is the latest in a series of pantsless ads the duo shot for the tequila company, which the couple co-founded in 2023. Camila?who shares kids Levi, 16, Vida, 14, and Livingston, 11, with Matthew?recently revealed their children?s reaction to the scantily-clad photo series.
?They thought they were hilarious,? Camila told People in September. ?Whats not to like? It is meant to be fun and silly getting the wink on the joke!?
And with their kids on board, the couple?who wed in 2012?intend to keep the gag going.
?Its safe to say you may see Matthew and I pantsless again,? she added, ?with some Pantalones in-hand.?

I don?t know how I feel overall about the pantless campaign, but this poster, along with launching the 10 How to Lose a Guy?-themed cocktail recipes, is clever and fun. I would have done totally different pants-themed advertisements, though, not just ones where Matthew isn?t wearing pants. They could have even tied each one into a different MM movie. That said, I think it?s kind of endearing that Matthew and Camila asked their kids for approval to do a campaign where Daddy is posing (literally) half-naked with Mommy. Those kids are at the ages where they would find this ad campaign funny, although they?re probably like six months out from Levi finding it cringe.

One of the big reasons why Angelina Jolie?s longtime fans are so excited about Pablo Larrain?s Maria is because we hope that this will mark Angelina?s return to acting consistently. She had a lengthy ?wilderness? period where she was focused on her family and doing smaller projects close to home. But even before Angelina left Brad Pitt, she had already spent years avoiding acting gigs like the plague. There was a hope that working with Pablo Larrain somehow made Angelina realize that she could have a lot of fun if she simply took more acting work. Well, it?s all happening. Angelina has signed on to another film, set in Paris. More specifically, set at Paris Fashion Week. Angelina will be working with acclaimed French director Alice Winocour.
Following her critically acclaimed turn as legendary opera singer Maria Callas in Pablo Larran?s ?Maria,? Angelina Jolie will return to Paris to star in Alice Winocour?s first English language directorial effort. The movie, titled ?Stitches? (?Coutures?), is set in the world of high fashion and unfolds in Paris. Jolie stars in the movie as a filmmaker and is one of three women whose lives will collide during Fashion Week.
Filming is expected to begin at the start of next year with Charles Gillibert?s Paris-based banner CG Cinema producing in partnership with Zhang Xin and William Horberg of Closer Media.
?Stitches? also reteams Winocour with French production-distribution powerhouse Path Films following her well-received movie ?Paris Memories,? which world premiered at Cannes? Directors Fortnight and earned its star Virginie Efira a Cesar Award (France?s equivalent to the Oscar) for her performance as a survivor of a brutal terrorist attack. Path Films will distribute ?Stitches? in France. UTA Independent Film Group structured the financing for the film and is representing global and North American rights. Hanway Films is handling international sales.
The film will shoot in both French and English, in line with Winocour?s previous movie ?Proxima.? The latter starred Eva Green as an astronaut preparing for a year-long stint on the International Space Station, coping with the guilt of leaving her young daughter and navigating a male-dominated environment. Green was nominated for Cesar Award for this role and the movie won the platform prize at Toronto, as well as the jury award at San Sebastian.

Angelina does speak French at some capacity but I?m not sure if she?s fluent enough to pull off a role which is half in French? But you never know, maybe she?s more fluent than we know, or maybe the character mostly speaks English. While this sounds like a fantastic French art-house kind of film and I love that for Angelina, truly I do hope she?s also getting scripts from the Hollywood studios? I?m slightly worried about her financially, because Brad Pitt is going to keep financially abusing her for years longer. Mama needs to pick up some big paychecks.
