| Amber Rose, newly MAGA, will speak at the Republican National Convention | Added 359 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Back in May, Amber Rose sauntered down to Mar-a-Lago and posed for a photo with Donald and Melania Trump. Amber posted the photo on her social media and seemingly endorsed Trump for president. Which is weird, because eight years ago, Amber was very anti-Trump and she spoke out about how he shouldn?t be president and how he?s a racist idiot. But a lot can happen in eight years. Someone like Amber could fall into a toxic cult or have a major head injury or maybe she?s just so broke-ass that she needs to give a paid political endorsement to a rapist felon. In any case, the SlutWalk founder is scheduled to speak at this year?s Republican National Convention. A CNN reporter announced the news and Amber confirmed it:
RNC news: Amber Rose, a reality tv personality and model who shocked fans by endorsing Donald Trump for president earlier this year, is expected to speak at the Republican National Convention next week, a source familiar tells CNN.

| Lara Flynn Boyle: 'ageism is human nature. It's not Hollywood's fault' | Added 365 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Lara Flynn Boyle was a gossip staple back in the late 1990s and early 2000s. She was in relationships with Kyle MacLachlan, David Spade and, most famously, Jack Nicholson, and there was rampant speculation about her weight. After she and Nicholson broke up for good in 2004, Lara took a step back from the Hollywood scene. She married her husband Donald Ray Thomas in 2006. Since then, she and Thomas have been living in Texas part-time with their rescue dog named Shrimp.
Despite having a much lower profile over the last two decades, Lara?s popped up here and there, appearing in a handful of movies and occasionally, in paparazzi shots. Lara?s last movie was four years ago, something she blames the pandemic for. On July 5, her new movie, Mother, Couch will be out for a limited run. People recently sat down with Lara to catch up and talk to her love of Hollywood, being a tabloid fixture, ageism in the biz, and more.
She loves ?everything? about Hollywood: [Boyle, 54, explains] why she changed her mind and nixed her initial suggestion for her PEOPLE interview ? a nondescript L.A. diner that serves tuna melts and apple pie ? and opted for the glamorous Sunset Boulevard hot spot that opened in 1941, the year Citizen Kane premiered. ?I don?t have to be like, ?Look where I go. I?m normal,?? says Boyle. ?I love Hollywood. I love everything about Hollywood.? The fact that Boyle is still so enthusiastic about show business is a testament to her resilience ? she?s a ?scrapper,? she says several times during an hour-long chat.
She had her own #MeToo experiences: ?I?ve been in situations that were not called for. I?ve walked out of meetings and had repercussions for it,? she says, declining to name names. ?We all go through it.?
On tabloids publishing unflattering pictures of her: Even after Boyle got married to Texas real estate developer Donald Ray Thomas, 58, in 2006 and began working less, paparazzi still hounded her. They snapped pictures while she took out the trash and, in one unflattering instance, while she appeared to take a swig from a bottle of Johnnie Walker whiskey in her car. Tabloids were all too happy to publish the photos alongside sensational headlines.
No complaining or leaving: ?I never wanted to bow out [of Hollywood]. Any moment I was feeling down or sorry for myself, I made sure I did not complain,? she says while sipping on a cappuccino. ?My mom used to sometimes bring me articles about other actresses to show me I?m not the only one getting a raw deal.?
She was cast in Mother, Couch because the director saw her tabloids: It?s that tabloid attention that intrigued writer-director Niclas Larsson, who cast Boyle in Mother, Couch. Larsson grew up in Sweden reading tabloids at his mother?s hair salon and was fascinated by Boyle. ?The only type of literature I was exposed to between the age of 5 to maybe 10 was gossip magazines. And Lara was on the cover a lot. I?m like, ?What?s up with Lara?? What?s up with the excellent actor Lara Flynn Boyle??
No one can imagine what women in the late 90s went through: I knew I needed someone who physically and mentally lived through something,? says Larsson. ?I don?t think anyone can imagine what it is like to go through what a lot of women went through in the late ?90s, early 2000s.?
No more Hollywood boyfriends or booze: Before she met Thomas, Boyle dated her Twin Peaks costar Kyle MacLachlan, Saturday Night Live alum David Spade and then Nicholson on and off from 1999 into the early 2000s. ?I left with a bang when it came to actors,? she says of the three-time Oscar winner. ?Then I went, ?Okay, I?m done now.? ?
She said the same about alcohol around five years ago. ?Those disco boots, they?ve had their time,? says Boyle. If there was an impetus to stop, Boyle isn?t telling. ?Some people are allergic to it; some people are un-allergic to it,? she says.
Ageism is ?human nature: From the outside, I say, it seems things have become more inclusive. Before she speaks, she lets out a long, world-weary laugh. ?Not at all,? she says. ?The thing that gets my goat is when actresses talk about ageism in Hollywood. Ageism is human nature. It?s not Hollywood?s fault. It?s all of our fault. Myself included. I like looking at pretty people on the camera.?
She?s ready for her close-up but doesn?t want to see it: One person she does not enjoy watching: herself. ?If you want to call me Norma Desmond, go for it,? she quips. ?Whenever I catch a reflection of myself in a lens, I?m like, ?Oh, cut.? ?
[From People]
Oh man, some of what she says?it feels like there?s so much to unpack there. Larsson is right about famous women in the late ?90s and early ?00s. Thinking back to that period of time, they really went through so much unfair scrutiny and judgment as a part of tabloid culture. I feel so badly for buying into it all so much when I was much younger. Beauty standards in that time period messed so many of us normies up, thinking that?s what we had to look like to be attractive. I can only imagine how bad it was for actresses who were having their pictures taken and talked about all of the time. I remember seeing that picture of her drinking from the Johnnie Walker bottle in her car and feeling sorry for her, hoping she got some help. I?m glad she?s stopped drinking.
As for ageism, while it does seem like there are more roles for more mature-aged actresses nowadays, I recognize that there?s still a lot of room for improvement. However, I don?t know if it?s ?human nature? so much as what Hollywood perceives as marketability. I really don?t think most people prefer looking at ?pretty people? on screens. I just want good story content and acting. I feel like viewers are in an era where we appreciate seeing people who look like us represented in our media and it hasn?t gone completely unnoticed. Also, it?s sorta telling the way Lara says she can?t stand to watch herself on screen. She may be a ?scrapper? but it sure feels like she has a lot of scars from old wounds that never healed properly.

| Puck: Goop is having a 'midlife crisis' & the beauty line has stagnating sales | Added 365 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Gwyneth Paltrow?s Goop has had a beauty line for years, making their own branded skincare and beauty products, sometimes in collaboration with existing beauty brands. Last year, Goop Beauty launched Good Clean Goop, a supposedly ?affordable? beauty line with all of the core tenets of Goop: ?clean? branding and eye-rolling at broke peasants. Gwyneth repeatedly looked down on consumers who cannot spend hundreds of dollars a month on skincare. She repeatedly made a point of saying that Good Clean Goop was basically a watered-down version of what she wanted because they couldn?t put expensive ingredients into the products because then the peasants wouldn?t be able to afford them. Is it a huge surprise that Good Clean Goop isn?t doing well? Perhaps not. But what surprised me is that, according to Puck, Goop Beauty is doing poorly across the board.
Goop?s overall sales, which include Goop Beauty, have been more or less flat since 2021, I?m told. Paltrow?s wholesale beauty businesses aren?t doing great, either. Despite WWD recently citing ?Amazon overall and the wholesale business as key strengths for Goop Beauty,? I?ve heard that U.S. retail sales for the brand were only in the six figures at Amazon and Sephora for the month of May. (Summer Fridays did millions in sales at Sephora during the same period.) A spokesperson for Goop said that Goop Beauty?s sales overall are up 17 percent year-to-date.
Good.clean.goop, a more affordable and wholesale-only skincare brand that launched simultaneously at Target and on Amazon last October, also underperformed. I?ve heard the line is in the ?bottom 15? at Target, which de-escalated some partnerships following the blowback to its LGBTQ+ Pride campaign last year. A source with firsthand knowledge of Target?s beauty business told me that the retailer had ?reputational concerns? regarding Paltrow being a polarizing figure and decided to ?take a step back? in terms of marketing and in-store placement of the brand.
?They got so conservative because of what was happening with Pride that everything was put on hold. Gwyneth ended up opening up the brand to Amazon, and it was not an exclusive launch. The brand lost momentum??it was put on a back endcap in the store, and it never really got traction,? this person said. (A spokesperson for Target declined to comment.)
There was also confusion around the market, pricing, and buyer for good.clean.goop. The line didn?t necessarily appeal to Paltrow?s wealthier core demographic, but it was still too expensive for the not-yet-Goop?d customer who doesn?t want to spend $30 to $40 on skincare, especially in the absence of serious marketing and prime placement in Target?s stores. ?At the end of the day, it may not be priced correctly for what it is,? an executive at the retailer said.
Then the parody went mainstream. Goop Beauty lost its first-mover advantage when clean, nontoxic, and ?free of? beauty marketing became inescapable. With every skincare brand chasing ?clean? status??which, for the record, is purely a marketer?s gimmick since most ingredients on the ?dirty? lists would never make it into beauty products in the first place??there was little setting Goop apart.
[From Puck]
I fundamentally believe that Gwyneth is a bandwagoner who merely takes credit for inventing/pioneering most things, but Puck correctly points out that Goop really missed so many opportunities to stake out their claim in the beauty/skincare market earlier on. Now the gap left by Goop has been filled by Fenty Beauty, Rare Beauty, Kylie Cosmetics, etc. Puck goes on to suggest that Goop?s ?midlife crisis? is the result of Gwyneth failing to ?install proper executive leadership, or even a seasoned C.E.O. with the operating chops to streamline the company?s various product lines.? I absolutely agree with that. Gwyneth has always expressed a desire for Goop to be a stand-alone entity eventually, and not be synonymous with Gwyneth?s name. But Gwyneth has still centered herself within the company, and for good reason because she IS Goop. But that also means that she?s sort of half-assed it when it comes to building the company and ensuring the company?s independence.

| Page Six: Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez's marriage 'has been over for months' | Added 366 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are probably close to being completely done. What a waste, all of it. Ben really wrote love letters to Jennifer when she was engaged to Alex Rodriguez, then she quickly extracted herself from that engagement and went all-in with Ben soon after. I think they were happy for a year or so, but reality came crashing down on them at some point in the past year. I hesitate to say it was ALL about J.Lo?s This Is Me? Now projects, but I?m sure the album, music film and documentary did not help at all. It wasn?t all about the Beverly Hills mansion either, but that didn?t help. Now Page Six is saying that Bennifer is definitely OVER.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have tried their best to put on a united front ? but the couple?s marriage has allegedly been over for months, we hear. According to sources, they?ve been apart since March, but Affleck is ?very protective of Jennifer.?
Rumors of the couple?s split hit a fever pitch in May after Affleck was noticeably absent from J.Lo?s side at major red carpet events ? like the Met Gala, which she co-chaired this year. He also didn?t accompany her to the premiere of her new Netflix project, ?Atlas.?
Lopez then added fuel to the rumor mill when she liked an Instagram post about unhealthy relationships. ?You can?t build a relationship with someone who is disconnected from themselves,? said the post.
[From Page Six]
The premiere for This Is Me? Now: A Love Story happened in February of this year. I said at the time that the vibe was off and that Ben seemed to be phoning it in/detatching. It would not surprise me at all if that was basically when the beginning of the end. Meanwhile, Ben and Jen are obviously unloading the Beverly Hills mansion, but Page Six also says that they?re unloading some artwork too. Yeah? that says divorce to me. Selling real estate AND artwork, while living separately and barely seeing each other? We?ll probably get a divorce announcement this week or next.

| Jennifer Lopez stepped out in head-to-toe Dior, a Birkin bag & her wedding ring | Added 367 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lopez out and about in LA on Saturday. She was with her kids, I can see Emme in the background of some of the photos. J.Lo?s ensemble here is sort of interesting she?s wearing head-to-toe Dior, except for a rare Hermes Birkin bag. I love the crisp white cotton Dior shirt and I even like the Dior D-Joy ballet flats. The Dior trousers are kind of awful though, not that flattering on Jennifer. I don?t imagine that style would be flattering on any body type though. Her Birkin is crocodile skin, in black. Last week, Jennifer seemingly made a last-minute decision to attend the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week. I wonder if she returned home with a suitcase full of Dior for her trouble.
As we discussed on Sunday, when J.Lo was in Italy and France, Ben moved his sh-t out of their Beverly Hills home. This home seems to be one big contention in their marriage they spent months and months looking at homes all over LA, and when they finally settled on this gigantic mansion, they also spent millions renovating it. Ben quietly moved out of the mansion two months ago and he?s now staying at a Brentwood rental. I think J.Lo is possibly still living in the Beverly Hills place, even though they?ve put it on the market already. If J.Lo is concerned about Ben moving his sh-t out while she was on vacation, she?s not letting it show. She wore her wedding ring for this Saturday outing.
All that being said, I really do wonder if we?re going to get a big announcement soon. The paparazzi are obviously trailing Ben and Jen a lot these days, and it?s become clear that they?ve probably only seen each other once in like three or four weeks? And that one meeting was literally at their office. I hate this! I?m still rooting for them, but damn, it really does not look good.

| Tom Cruise was seen with his son, Connor, exiting a helicopter in London | Added 367 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Last week, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes? daughter, Suri Noelle, graduated from high school in New York City. Tom, meanwhile, was in London, watching Taylor Swift?s The Eras Tour from the VIP tent. Tom reportedly hasn?t seen Suri since 2012 because, when her mother escaped from Tom, she also escaped from Scientology. Poor Nicole Kidman was labeled a Suppressive Person after their divorce, meaning Cruise and their two children, Isabella (?Bella?), 31, and Connor, 29, weren?t allowed to have any contact with her. That is most likely why Tom has not seen Suri in 12 years.
Bella and Connor largely stay out of the spotlight. They live their lives, occasionally posting to Instagram. As far as we know, they?re both still Scientologists. Once in a while, we see them in public with their dad, but sightings are few and far between. All three were spotted together late last year visiting the Tampa Bay Lightning ice hockey team, presumably to watch a game. On Friday, four days after Suri?s graduation, Tom and Connor were seen exiting a helicopter together in London.
Tom Cruise is spending some quality time with his son Connor. On Friday, June 28, the 61-year-old Top Gun: Maverick star was seen departing a helicopter in Central London, as his 29-year-old son followed behind.
The actor waved to onlookers as he wore a pair of sunglasses, jeans and an off-white fitted top. Connor, meanwhile, donned a navy baseball cap, a black hoodie, jeans and some athletic sneakers.
The rare public outing between the duo comes six months after another public appearance, when Cruise was spotted with both Connor and his older sister, Isabella Bella, 31.
Back in December, the trio were photographed together in an image shared on Instagram by former NFL player Derrick Brooks. In the photo, Cruise was front and center with his son, as his daughter poked her head through the back of the group image.
Cruise shares his two older kids with his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman, and shares his 18-year-old daughter Suri with his ex-wife, Katie Holmes. In October 2021, the Mission Impossible star was seen out with his son at a Los Angeles Dodgers game. Before then, the pair were photographed together in October 2019 in London.
While Bella often shares her artwork on Instagram, her brother tends to share glimpses of himself outside ? and he usually updates fans with images involving golfing or fishing. His last Instagram post came in April 2023, when Connor shared a snap of himself at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. In the photo, Connor gave a thumbs-up to the camera and wore some nice golfing attire. , he captioned the image, his first since he shared a shot of himself and some fishing friends in 2022.
While Cruises eldest son has tried his hand at both acting and DJing, he isnt often spotted in public these days.
Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater, a source told PEOPLE in 2018. He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked.
[From People]
I did a little digging online and didnt see any reporting on what Connor and Tom were doing prior or post departing said helicopter. Like their younger sister, Connor and Bella choose to live their lives out of the spotlight, so I will respect that, and not speculate too much about their lives other than what we?ve been publicly told. In 2016, Bella told the Australian website New Idea that she does speak with her mother. She actually goes by Bella Kidman Cruise now. Connor, like People says, still lives in a Scientology community in Clearwater, Florida (which is in Tampa Bay, hence why the Cruises were at a hockey game there). Something nice: For however terrible a father Tom was for Suri, it?s good that he shows up for Connor and Bella, even if we know its because they?re all in the same cult, so he?s ?allowed? to be a part of their lives. As for Tom?s lack of a relationship with Suri, she may be better off, but the whole situation is still kinda sad. It didn?t have to be that way. Tom could have chosen to live his life differently.

Jennifer Lopez?s recent solo trips to Italy and Paris were probably not the best sign for her marriage. J.Lo canceled her summer tour citing family issues, and there was some hope that perhaps Jennifer and Ben Affleck would spend the summer reconnecting and working on their marriage after a difficult year. Ben and J.Lo saw each other this past week, the first time (that we know of) in more than two weeks. They were seen at the same office building, where they both arrived and exited separately. As I said, it?s giving ?signing the divorce papers.? One big issue is that Ben hated the house they bought last year, the Beverly Hills mansion/money pit which was supposed to be for their blended family. Ben moved out of the Beverly Hills mansion two months ago and began renting a place in Brentwood, close to Jen Garner?s home. Well, now People Magazine says that while J.Lo was away in Italy and Paris, Ben moved all of his crap out of the Beverly Hills mansion.
Ben Affleck is moving his belongings out of his shared home with Jennifer Lopez, a source tells PEOPLE.
More than one month after PEOPLE first reported that Affleck, 51, and Lopez, 54, were living separately in Los Angeles as they dealt with strife in their marriage, a source close to the couple tells PEOPLE that the Academy Award-winning filmmaker moved all of his things out of the couples Beverly Hills mansion before Lopez returned from a recent trip to Europe.
?Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental. He?s been there for about two months now, another source says. He seems okay. He?s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He?s also spending time with his kids.?
Affleck and Lopez, who married in July 2022 after famously rekindling their romantic relationship, put the mansion they have shared together in Beverly Hills since June 2023 on the market earlier this month, as a source told PEOPLE.
The couple appear to have spent time together as recently as June 26, when they were photographed separately entering a building in West Hollywood, where they both maintain offices, a few hours apart. Per TMZ, Affleck arrived around 10 a.m. in a suit and with a duffel bag. Lopez, who is set to star in two upcoming movies for Affleck and Matt Damons production company, was photographed leaving the building hours later.
[From People]
The thing is, this could be a confirmation that their divorce is inevitable, or it could be a confirmation of nothing more than they?re putting that money pit back on the market. In this case, I think both things could be true. Their marriage is in shambles AND they?re selling the Beverly Hills place. Why wouldn?t Ben move his sh-t out, you know? I think the house has already been listed! That being said, it feels notable that he moved out while Jennifer was out of the country. I will be so sad if the prediction of a Fourth of July divorce announcement comes true.

| Kelly Ripa hates eating on TV: 'it feels like people are watching you go to the bathroom' | Added 370 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
June 27th was International Pineapple Day. I had no idea that was a thing, but sure, why not? On Thursday?s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos had a little fun and celebrated it. They shared some pineapple trivia, drank pineapple juice, and ate pineapple slices. While they were nibbling on their pineapple slices, Kelly mentioned how much she hates eating on TV. She just thinks its ?weird? to see people eat on screen and really dislikes doing it. In fact, she finds it so uncomfortable that to her, it?s like someone watching her use the restroom. Her hubby is cool with it though!
Apparently, eating on TV is not all it?s cracked up (or cooked up) to be. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos tackled the topic on this morning?s Live with Kelly and Mark ? which was once again previously recorded ? as they kicked off the show by celebrating International Pineapple Day.
After Consuelos rattled off some fun facts about pineapple, and as they enjoyed pineapple slices and pineapple juice in front of the camera and their studio audience, Ripa said, ?The audience doesn?t want to watch us eat.?
?It?s really, you know ? I always say this. Like, you think it?s no big deal to eat on TV, but then try to do it,? she continued. ?It?s really weird, like, it feels like people are watching you go to the bathroom. It?s that same ??
Consuelos chimed in with his perspective, noting that he has ?no issues with it.?
?If you watch the cooking segments here, I?m just eating and eating and eating,? he teased. ?Shamelessly.?
Ripa replied, ?No, as am I, but it looks weird. It?s not, like, it?s not ??
Consuelos offered up, ?Elegant??
Ripa agreed, arguing that ?it?s not as elegant as you think.?
?It?s weird,? she reiterated. ?Everybody looks weird when they eat on TV. If you watch commercials, if you watch food commercials, those are styled by food stylists. And even then, you see people take the bite, but you never really see chewing happen. It?s like a bite, cut away! Cut away.
Consuelos added, ?They spit into the spit bucket.?
Ripa replied, ?The spit bucket, right. There?s a spit bucket,? before asking the audience, ?Did you know that??
Consuelos said, ?Now you do.?
[From Decider]
I knew that the food in commercials were styled by food stylists and were not realistic, but I actually had no idea that there was a spit bucket. That makes total sense, though. I?m sorry that Kelly feels so uncomfortable eating on TV. Good thing she gets paid a lot of money to do so! I?d be worried about getting crumbs all over myself in front of everyone or forgetting where I was and talking with a mouth full of food. I don?t think watching anyone eat is elegant, lol, but it?s never super bothered me to see a talk show host or a commercial actor try a bite of food. It?s the full-on food scenes like in Elf where Buddy is eating the pasta with the maple syrup and he?s shoving it in his face that bother me. I don?t love watching those types of scenes. There is one time that I never mind watching someone eat on TV and that?s when the judges do the taste tests on Great British Bake Off. That just mostly makes me envious. I wonder if the hosts of that show use a spit bucket, too.

| Emma Roberts: Nepo babies have a leg up but 'you have to prove yourself more' | Added 371 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Emma Roberts is Julia Roberts? niece and Eric Roberts? daughter. Emma has been working since she was a kid, and Julia absolutely ?nepotized? her niece?s way into the industry, appearing in Aunt Julia?s films and benefiting from Aunt Julia?s industry connections. Emma is Peak Nepo Baby, and she was all about nepotism since childhood. Well, Emma has decided to chime in on the whole ?nepo baby? discourse. Would you believe that Emma thinks nepo babies have to work harder to prove themselves more??
Emma Roberts appeared on the ?Table for Two? podcast (via Vanity Fair) and was asked whether becoming a ?massive movie star? was a priority for her when she decided to follow in the career footsteps of her father, Eric Roberts, and her aunt, Julia Roberts. Not quite. Emma said that watching her aunt become an A-list superstar as a kid showed her how scary that level of fame can be.
?I saw very up close what that really looks like,? Roberts said. ?It?s obviously fun and it?s great, but there is a part of it that?s really scary. So I?ve wanted to kind of carve my own path. ? Fame has never been the goal, because fame at a certain level is kind of scary.?
?Even in my later teens, I was like, I never want my fame to outweigh my work,? she continued. ?Because there?s nothing scarier to me than being so famous that you?re never left alone, but also you?re not getting good jobs. And that was kind of happening to a lot of people when I was in my teens and early 20s. I never wanted that to happen to me.?
?There?s two sides of the coin,? Roberts said [about the ?nepo baby? discourse]. ?People like to say, you know, you have a leg up because you have family in the industry. But then the other side to that is, you have to prove yourself more. Also, if people don?t have good experiences with other people in your family, then you?ll never get a chance.?
?Everybody loves the kind of overnight-success story. And so if you?re kind of not the girl from the middle of nowhere that broke into Hollywood, there?s kind of an eye roll of like, ?Well, your dad was this,?? she continued. ?I always joke, ?Why is no one calling out George Clooney for being a nepo baby? [His aunt] Rosemary Clooney was an icon.? I feel like young girls get it harder with the nepo-baby thing. Like, I don?t really see people calling out sons of famous actors, not that they should be called out.?
Roberts concluded her argument by saying that people who criticize nepo babys ?only see your wins, because they only see when you?re on the poster of a movie ? they don?t see all the rejection along the way. That?s why I?m always very open about things I?ve auditioned for and haven?t gotten the part for.?
[From Variety]
The one thing I think is correct is that female nepo babies get it harder than the guys. Other nepo babies have mentioned that too, so it must have been in some kind of nepo-baby memo or they were issued talking points or something. But the whole ?Everybody loves the kind of overnight-success story. And so if you?re kind of not the girl from the middle of nowhere that broke into Hollywood? construct is idiotic. That?s not the way Hollywood works anymore. While there are still those overnight success stories, they are few and far between because Hollywood has gone all-in on nepo babies. I remember years ago, Karen Elson talking about how much the fashion industry has changed because there was such an obsession with ?this girl is the daughter of .? That?s happened in Hollywood too, and it?s one of the reasons why I support someone like Sydney Sweeney, because she had zero connections and she hustled her ass off to make her career happen.
?But then the other side to that is, you have to prove yourself more. Also, if people don?t have good experiences with other people in your family, then you?ll never get a chance.? The bad experiences with family members could be a reference to her father Eric Roberts, who has kind of a reputation for being an ahole professionally and privately. Eric was estranged from Julia and some of the family for a while as well. But no, nepo babies don?t have to ?prove themselves more.? That?s completely asinine coming out of Emma?s mouth.
