Jennifer Aniston had a habit for years, if not decades, of always wearing sort of boring black gown whenever she had a big red carpet. It all got a bit same-y. Well, I?m glad she?s mixing it up a bit. At last night?s Emmy Awards, Jennifer wore this sparkly Oscar de la Renta column gown. It?s nice, it photographed well, and I liked that she added some sparkle with some diamonds too. My criticism: it would have been nice to see a different hairstyle. I also think she?s way overdoing the Botox and fillers, she could barely move her face during her red carpet interviews. Also: she was nominated (but did not win) for The Morning Show.
Speaking of The Morning Show, Nicole Beharie wore Chanel. She looked lovely, and I hate that she gets overshadowed on red carpets because of her costars.

Trigger warning: suicide
In 2006, Jon Bon Jovi started a community restaurant called the JBJ Soul Foundation, which works to ?break the cycle of hunger, poverty and homelessness through developing partnerships, creating programs and providing grant funding to support innovative community benefit organizations.? Through his work with the foundation, JBJ has had ?extensive training? to help speak to people who are in crisis situations.
That training came in very handy earlier this week. While filming a music video in Nashville, TN, JBJ and his crew came across a woman who was standing on the outside ledge of the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge over the Cumberland River, preparing to jump off of it. Bon Jovi?s training kicked in and he and an assistant approached the woman, spoke with her briefly, and eventually helped her back over the ledge to safety. Then they hug it out before leaving the bridge area together.
Rock star Jon Bon Jovi helped talk a woman off the ledge of a bridge in Nashville this week, bringing a new meaning to ?Keep the Faith.? The Metro Nashville Police Department tweeted on Wednesday that Bon Jovi and his team had persuaded the distressed, unidentified woman to come ?off the ledge over the Cumberland River to safety.?
?It takes all of us to help keep each other safe,? added Police Chief John Drake.
The police also shared a video of the incident, which has since been taken down by YouTube. But other clips posted by local media and fan accounts help paint a picture of what happened on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge ? a truss bridge offering panoramic views of the Nashville skyline ? Tuesday night.
The 62-year-old singer happened to be filming a music video for his song ?The People?s House? on the bridge, which remained open to the public, The Tennessean reported. At one point, he noticed a woman in blue standing nearby on the outside ledge of the bridge.
Overhead footage shows Bon Jovi and another woman from his team walking toward the woman, who is facing the water but notices as they approach. Bon Jovi greets her with a single wave, which she returns.
Then he comes to a stop a few feet away and leans over the railing. His team member, whom The Tennessean describes as a production assistant, joins them and the three proceed to talk, though the video does not capture sound.
After about half a minute, the production assistant puts her hand on the woman?s back and helps her turn around so that she?s facing the bridge. After a little more discussion, Bon Jovi and his colleague each grab one of her arms and help hoist her over the railing and back onto the bridge. She and Bon Jovi then share a few more words and a long hug. The two left the bridge together a few minutes later, NBC News reported.
The Metro Nashville Police Department and Nashville Fire Department also responded to the scene after getting a call from a witness, according to local TV station WSMV. Representatives for Bon Jovi have told several media outlets that he will not be commenting on the incident.
Many social media observers are hailing Bon Jovi as a ?hero? and a ?saint? for his response on Tuesday. Some point out that it?s not a one-off ? he went viral in 2021, for example, for washing dishes at one of his community restaurants in his home state of New Jersey during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It just so happens that the bridge where this all played out was renamed in 2014 after John Seigenthaler, a prominent Tennessee journalist who saved a suicidal man?s life on that very structure while reporting for The Tennessean in the 1950s.

Katy was invited to last night?s VMAs and she was honored with the Video Vanguard Award. Meaning, she performed a medley of her hit songs, then snuck in a couple of her songs (which everyone hates). If you love sh-t written and produced by Dr. Luke, this was the medley for you.
Before her performance, Katy walked the carpet with her partner Orlando Bloom. She did the ?wetlook/shipwrecked? style which Kim Kardashian keeps trying to bring back. Katy?s carpet look was a fresh-from-NYFW piece from Who Decides War?s Spring 2025 collection. It looks like wannabe Alexander McQueen, right? And dousing herself in baby oil was probably bad for the fabric.

Were you expecting Taylor Swift to turn up at last night?s MTV VMAs? I was not. But she was one of the last ones to walk the VMA red carpet, and she dashed inside to win one of the first awards of the evening. In total, Taylor picked up seven VMAs, including awards for Song of the Summer (nope), Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Best Collab and Best Pop. VOTY, SOTS and Collab were all given to ?Fortnight? featuring Post Malone, her first single from The Tortured Poets Department. Like? even if you want to give it VOTY, there is absolutely no way that ?Fortnight? was the Song of the Summer. None.
Taylor wore this Westwood-coded Dior look, a black-and-yellow tartan with a mullet skirt and bustier. People Mag thought her look was ?Reputation-coded,? because I guess Swifties are still waiting for Reputation (Taylor?s Version). Y?all have been talking about the snake album for the better part of two years. I hope y?all get it after all this time. Seeing Taylor try to pull off a harder-edge look is always amusing to me though like, she still looks like a Disney princess, even with the boots and punk-lite ensemble.
Tay also made this VMA appearance not even 24 hours after she endorsed the Harris-Walz ticket. Taylor had been dominating headlines in the political world throughout the day Wednesday, and much of it was good news for her. In her Instagram post endorsement, Taylor included a link to vote.gov. The US GSA announced yesterday that Taylor?s post drove over 337,000 visitors to the site.
Last thing: While Travis Kelce did not attend the VMAs, Taylor did give a shout-out to, in her words, ?my boyfriend.?

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon have been in New York this week, doing pap strolls every day. Brad and Ines reportedly began dating back in 2022, and for nearly two years, the only photos of them together were blurry, long-distance shots sold as mega-exclusives. But something shifted a few months ago. Ines began traveling with him to Europe, and then they made their red-carpet couple debut at the Venice Film Festival two weekends ago. Now they?ve gone from ?we barely see them/are they even really dating? to ?wow, they?re thirsty as hell.?
Looking at these photos, it feels like Brad and Ines are staging themselves as throwbacks to and copykeens of other celebrity pairings. I was reminded of how Kanye West and Kim Kardashian used to roll up to fashion weeks in New York and Paris. Brad is also trying to channel Travis Kelce?s sometimes-wacky style, only? you know, Brad is a 60 year old man and it looks pretty desperate and ?how do you do, fellow kids.? In one of her ensembles the brown mohair?? Ines is fully copykeening the Duchess of Sussex?s everything. Meghan?s hair, her style, her makeup, everything.
Brad has also taken to wearing an ?I? necklace, for Ines, get it? Better jewelry than a tattoo. He had several tattoos devoted to Angelina and their kids, but he?s altered all of them or covered them. Anyway? y?all buying this? Or does it come across as rather sad?

Kevin Costner has his epic Horizon film series in his field of dreams and he?s gonna beat that wagon-pulling dead horse if it?s the last thing he does. Horizon: An American Saga ? Chapter 1 got bad reviews and bombed at the box office in July. Then Chapter 2 had its August release date pulled, at which point Kevin spun it as what he wanted all along anyway, so that it could have a world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. And so it did last Saturday, out of competition. While there, Kevin reassured the film?s dozens of fans that he?s still dead set on coming out with the as-yet unfilmed Horizon: An American Saga ? Chapters 3 and 4. I?ll give him this: it really does feel like a saga.
Thoughts from Sherlock: Kevin Costner spoke on the scrapped theatrical release of his second ?Horizon? film on Saturday during its Venice Film Festival press conference, saying that ?it probably was a reaction? to the underperformance of the first movie at the box office. ?It didn?t have overwhelming success,? Costner said of the first film. ?I?ve had a lot of movies that way, that have stood the test of time.?
His desire to continue is only increased: ?Sometimes when things don?t come to us easily, we want to just step away. But there?s something in me that only increases my desire when something is not working,? Costner said. ?It?s a story, it?s a piece of entertainment that I think can stand the test of time. When I feel rejection, unlike anybody else, when I open my eyes from my disappointment, my desire is only increased.?
Horizon is historical, not political: When asked if ?Horizon? contains a lesson for the current state of America as it heads into a presidential election, Costner said ?it?s not a message politically to anyone. ?Horizon? is not a message to my country, it?s a reminder to my country of how difficult it was that people made this journey,? he said. ? The film continues the events of the first chapter in the epic, which is described as a ?multi-faceted depiction of the Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West.? In addition to directing and starring, Costner served as a co-writer with Jon Baird (?The Explorers Guild?) and produced through his Territory Pictures.
Thoughts from Sisyphus: ?Horizon? is intended as a four-part series, meaning that two more films are in development. Principal photography on ?Chapter 3? began in May and is expected to wrap next year. As the press conference wrapped, Costner said all of the ?Horizon? films have been written and teased ?Chapter 3? as ?devastating.? ?You get to know all these people, and life keeps coming at them and you will see that,? he said. Of making the third film, Costner said he has to ?hurry and not let the rock fall back downhill, I gotta go put my hands on it again and start to push it up.? However, the path ahead for ?Horizon? still seems to be uncertain. ?I don?t know how I?m going to make ?Three? right now,? he said. ?But I?m going to make it.?

Kevin Costner has a dream and it will not be trampled on! All he wants is to give us 12 hours of slow-paced storytelling about Civil War-era westward expansion divided into four films to be screened in theaters instead of comfortably streamed at home! So sure, he had to spend $38 million of his own money to make the first installment, and put up the mortgage on his Southern California mansion as collateral. And sure, the movie-going public rendered their verdict by handing the first movie a disappointing $11 million opening weekend (compared to its $100 million budget), prompting the August release of the next movie to be nixed. But does that mean he should read the room, cut his losses and stop? YES NO! Look, it?s always a good message not to let the naysayers deter you. But how much of his own wealth does he plan on throwing at this endeavor? Will he at least budge and let go of the theatrical releases? Because the first film?s numbers improved once it went to VOD. To quote a great film that?s stood the test of time: if you put it right in people?s living rooms, they will come.

Vice President Kamala Harris truly wiped the floor with Donald Trump during last night?s presidential debate. Even conservative sites and outlets called it that way. There?s part of me which wishes that the post-debate energy was purely about how well Kamala Harris did, how easily she baited Trump, how quickly and furiously he took the bait, and how absolutely senile he looked. But last night, as cable news was popping off with analysis of Kamala?s victory, Taylor Swift suddenly decided to endorse. Keep in mind, just 48 hours beforehand, Taylor was hugging up MAGA supporter Brittany Mahomes at the US Open. That affection towards Brittany (someone who was personally thanked by Donald Trump for her support) had led to some of the most critical coverage of Taylor in years. Then, immediately post-debate, Taylor decided to throw her support behind Kamala Harris. This is what Taylor wrote alongside a photo from her Time POTY editorial, with one of her three cats.
Like many of you, I watched the debate tonight. If you haven?t already, now is a great time to do your research on the issues at hand and the stances these candidates take on the topics that matter to you the most. As a voter, I make sure to watch and read everything I can about their proposed policies and plans for this country.
Recently I was made aware that AI of ?me? falsely endorsing Donald Trump?s presidential run was posted to his site. It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation. It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter. The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth.
I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I?m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman?s right to her own body for decades.
I?ve done my research, and I?ve made my choice. Your research is all yours to do, and the choice is yours to make. I also want to say, especially to first time voters: Remember that in order to vote, you have to be registered! I also find it?s much easier to vote early. I?ll link where to register and find early voting dates and info in my story.

Better late than never! No, I won?t complain. We bashed her for 48 hours and she changed tack and endorsed. That?s what more people should do. This is what we want from the most influential people in the world. We want them to use their privilege, platform and influence to advocate for the greater good rather than their own narrow interests or their ahole friends.
For what it?s worth, the Harris-Walz campaign seemed to know Taylor?s endorsement was coming, and they must have cleared the rights for some of Taylor?s songs. Kamala walked out to ?The Man? at last night?s post-debate rally, and Kamala HQ is using ?Ready For It.? Walz was pleased as punch too, but he?s a major Swiftie.

I love watching Architectural Digest?s YouTube channel. Some of those crazy expensive houses that they highlight are to die for. I?m absolutely one of those people who loves looking at real estate listings for fun while d-cking around on the Internet during downtime. I really like when AD does the celebrity home tours. I can trace this back all the way to Mariah Carey?s 2002 MTV Cribs tour! That one was so iconic. Remember when she showed off her insane bathroom only to then confess to having only used the shower one time because she couldn?t figure out all of the knobs to turn it off? Absolute diva.
Anyway, Jennifer Garner did an AD tour last week for her custom-designed Los Angeles mansion. It?s absolutely gorgeous and although it?s super fancy, it?s also pretty down-to-earth. The video is around 11 minutes long and shows off a stunning living room with giant doors that open up to extend it out into a giant patio, a crazy ?slumber party? room with a bunch of bunk beds for when her kids have friends over, and a Harry Potter-themed reading nook/office for her 12-year-old son, Samuel, which is, appropriately, in a space underneath the staircase.
Jennifer Garner opened up her gorgeous Los Angeles home for an Architectural Digest tour and it did not disappoint. From a Harry Potter-themed office for her son to an unofficial slumber party room, Garners home both centered on her children while simultaneously showcasing stunning design.
Garner, who built her home with designers Steve and Brooke Giannetti, walked fans through the modest mansion.
I?m such a private person about my home and here I?ve just taken you through the entire house, and really it?s for a couple of reasons, the actor said in the Architectural Digest video.
I?ve never built anything all by myself before, and I?m so proud of it. I?m filled with gratitude every time I walk into my house, that I get to live here, that I?m so lucky to have my kids here. It?s unlike me, and yet I?m so happy to have shared it with you.
Garner shares her three kids ? Violet, 18, and Fin, 15, and son Samuel, 12 ? with ex-husband Ben Affleck. Throughout the tour, she mentions her kids activities in the home.
While showcasing the living room area ? which featured an entire back wall of large sliding glass doors that open to create an indoor-outdoor space ? Garner jokes that sometimes she has to look away when damp teens come inside from the pool.
?The only problem is, if my kids are having their class pool party here or something, it?s very hard to keep wet kids out of the house, she jokes. I have to really just stand guard and say, ?Get away.? I?ll look over, and there will be two wet teenagers playing the piano, and I?m just like, OK, don?t look, don?t look.'
Garner adds that shes so happy with her cozy home, which she said makes you feel like (youre) inside a treehouse.
You know how you just imagine it, and then some day you have a perfect moment where it actually comes true? That is a, like, (chef?s kiss) kind of moment, she says.
She showed off several gathering areas inside the home, including a gorgeous blue library/TV room, a study area with a giant fish tank and reading nook as well as a slumber party room with several bunk beds.
Garner also revealed her sons Harry Potter-themed office, which, fittingly, is a small room under the staircase. Noting Garner and her kids are huge fans of the series ? which opens on an 11-year-old Potter who lives in a cupboard under the stairs ? they decided to make the room similarly magical. Painted a dark blue with darks and other fantastical elements, Garner says the room is meant to be a little spot for him to come in and dream.
Mostly he hides from me and eats candy but I can?t blame him, she jokes. I?d do the same thing.

Jen?s house is so nice! It really fits her personality. I love the Harry Potter office nook! That?s so clever. That outdoor deck and pool area is incredible, too. I also love that Jen confesses to keeping her children?s toys from when they were younger easily accessible because once in a while, as ?big kids,? they?ll still pull those old toys out and play with them. That is so relatable because it?s so true! You know Jen Garner is that mom who takes Uno or some puzzle out on the weekends for them to do together while talking about life. At the end of the tour, she explains that she?s ?so proud? of her house because she?s never built anything by herself before. I?m a big Jen fan going back to her Alias days and I?m really happy that she?s successful and not an a-hole about it.

Karen Elson was married to Jack White from 2005 through 2013. She remarried, and her new husband is Lee Foster, who is also in the music industry. Foster owns the Electric Lady Studios, which is where Taylor Swift has recorded several albums. The Electric Lady is one of her New York hotspots, and back when she dated Matt Healy, she was constantly hosting group hangouts and recording. Well, Taylor and Travis Kelce were obviously invited to Karen and Lee Foster?s wedding, which was held at the Electric Lady. These are photos of TNT entering and exiting the wedding.
Taylor wore a floral dress by Zimmermann for the wedding. Vogue is mad about it! That?s because it?s way too pale for a wedding guest, especially someone as high-profile as Taylor. Yes, it?s more of an off-white/ecru, and yes, the floral sort of saves it. But I do think it?s iffy to wear this to a wedding, right? Her purse is Vivienne Westwood and her heels are Louboutins.
As for Travis, there have been a lot of hilarious comments about his latest look, especially with the mustache. The photos of Travis at the Chiefs game last week definitely gave a vibe of ?a cop who just got suspended for excessive use of force.? But in these photos, with his hair cleaned up, I have to admit that he looks pretty good? Like the man has an aura. He looks like he knows how to lay some pipe.
It feels like a big deal that Travis made a point of being Taylor?s date to this wedding. Sources told Us Weekly recently that their friends ?hope an engagement is a sure thing in the future? and that Taylor wants to complete her Eras tour and then focus more on her future and her personal life. She?s got some time off right now and she apparently plans to spend most of it with Travis.

Congratulations are in order for Ashley Tisdale and her husband, Christopher French! On Saturday, September 7, they welcomed their second daughter, Emerson Clover. Emerson joins big sister Jupiter Iris, who is three years old. Ashley announced the news on Saturday via an Instagram post that mirrored the announcement for her older daughter?s arrival. It was a black and white picture of Ashley, Christopher, and Iris holding Emerson?s hand. Awww!
On Saturday, Sept. 7, the High School Musical alum, 39, shared the happy news on Instagram that she has welcomed her second baby ? a girl ? with husband Christopher French. Sharing a close-up black-and-white photo of herself, French and their 3-year-old daughter, Jupiter, holding the newborns hand, Tisdale revealed her daughters name and announced that she was born on Friday, Sept. 6.
Emerson Clover French, all three of us are obsessed with you, the actress wrote in the posts caption. She landed 9.6.24 .
In March, Tisdale announced that she and French, 42, were expecting their second baby together.
We can?t wait to meet you , she wrote in her Instagram caption at the time, as she shared snaps of the couple and her baby bump. Their daughter Jupiter also appeared in the carousel, while French wrote in the comments, Here we goooo! I love you. We can do this lol.?
Tisdale and French have been married since 2014 and they welcomed Jupiter in March 2021. Although she said she couldnt wait to meet the new addition to their family, Tisdale got candid about some of her fears ahead of welcoming another baby in a March TikTok video.
I suffered with postpartum depression the first time and so that definitely scared me, thinking about, oh having another one, like, just going through that again, the actress and singer said in part in the video, posted on the same day she announced her pregnancy.
But my doctor said that it?s interesting that on the second, your hormones just adjust so much faster. It wasn?t so much that I was depressed, I just had a lot of anxiety, she added.
As for her daughter, ?I?m excited and Jupiter?s excited, Tisdale said in the video. She keeps telling everybody the big news, that she?s going to be a big sister.
Just last month, Tisdale joked that she couldnt wait to get that baby out in a post shared on her Instagram Stories about the past few weeks of her pregnancy with Emerson, explaining that shed been sick for three weeks and felt exhausted.
Im exhausted. Im ready to have this baby but not ready, the actress said. I still need to wallpaper the room, get everything organized, so dont come yet! BUT Ive been sick for three weeks with adenovirus that turned into a sinus infection. My whole body hurts and I literally cant wait to get that baby out. I think they make the last month this hard so your willing to throw yourself into something that would normally be so scary but you do it anyway.

Congrats again to the Tisdale/French family. Ashley was so miserable during the last few months of her pregnancy. I hope it was an easy delivery with Emerson and that she?s feeling much better now! Those last few weeks and months can be so difficult. Hopefully, Ashley doesn?t have any issues with postpartum depression this time around. What her doctor said about having less of a chance of getting PPD after your second baby because your hormones adjust quicker is really interesting, actually. I had no idea that was a thing. I adjusted a lot quicker mentally and emotionally after my younger son was born, but I?ve always just chalked that up to feeling good about actually knowing what I was doing the second time around.
I really like the name Emerson, too. Jupiter and Emerson, I dig it. As for Clover as the middle name, my former mentor (who I?m still friendly with via social media) has a daughter with the middle name Clover, and was given that middle name because it had a special meaning behind it. I wonder if there is any special meaning behind Emerson Clover?s name. We chose our boys? names very carefully, so I always love hearing about that kind of stuff.
