President Biden dropped out of his reelection campaign and endorsed Kamala Harris on July 21. Within 48 hours, VP Harris had raised $250 million and locked down enough delegates to become the Democratic nominee. Hilariously, one of the first things the new Harris campaign did was lock down Beyonce?s ?Freedom? as their go-to campaign song for rallies and ads. Beyonce personally authorized VP Harris the use of the song and we should absolutely take that as Beyonce endorsing VP Harris. The campaign has also already gotten Bon Iver to perform at a rally, and Tim Walz apparently loves Bruce Springsteen, so his rally song is ?Born to Run.? I assume the Boss authorized that as well.
What?s also hilarious is that no artist wants their music played at Donald Trump?s rallies. At all. This was an issue in 2016 and 2020. Even Adele an artist beloved by Trump had to come out and say, absolutely not, stop using my music at your rallies. Well, the latest artist to send a cease & desist is Celine Dion. Here are some photos of Blake Lively and Isabela Ferrer at the photocall and premiere for It Ends With Us in London on Thursday. Blake?s white suit at the photocall was Stella McCartney? which makes sense (awful sense). For the premiere, Blake wore Tamara Ralph Couture, and Isabela wore Burberry. I think it?s interesting that Blake chose Tamara Ralph (formerly of Ralph & Russo) Blake doesn?t have one go-to designer for every carpet, but usually she goes for bigger name labels or designers. That being said, the dress is blandly pretty, so much so that I thought this was Elie Saab or Monique Lhuillier. The furry coat/cape.stole is interesting but not with this dress. At least Blake?s hair looks good?
Meanwhile, it appears that Justin Baldoni did not make the trip to London to promote the movie. That?s weird he was in New York and he attended the NYC premiere a few days ago. He didn?t pose with anyone from the film though. In case you?re wondering, Baldoni plays the domestic-abuser husband in the film AND Baldoni also directed this mess, with Blake and Colleen Hoover stepping in as co-executive producers. Since IEWU?s promotion ramped up, people have been noticing that Blake and Justin are not interacting on the promo tour at all, not even to pose together on a red carpet.
Social media users are convinced that It Ends With Us costars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni have become embroiled in a fierce feud after they noticed some suspicious behavior between the two cast members. The highly-anticipated movie, based off Colleen Hoovers novel of the same name, is set to hit theaters on Friday, August 9. But some fans believe Blake, 36, has beef with Justin, 40 who on top of acting in the film, also directed it after claiming they spotted some tension between the stars at the New York City premiere earlier this week.
Blake and Justin didnt pose for any pictures together at the event, despite playing the two main characters and love interests in the flick. She happily took photos with her other costars like Jenny Slate and Brandon Sklenar, but not Justin. Two days later, Blake attended a photo call in London for the film with some of the other stars but Justin was mysteriously absent.
In addition, the two havent done any press together in the weeks leading up to the films release. Instead, Blake sat down for an interview with her costar, Brandon, last month; she and Brandon also participated in a promotional video with It Ends With Us stars Alex Neustaedter and Isabela Ferrer, but Justin had no part in it.
Eagle-eyed social media users also noticed that both Blake and author Colleen unfollowed Justin on Instagram recently. Between their lack of interactions and the social media move, many people on the web are wondering if there was drama between Blake and Justin on set.

Two things make me believe the beef is real: not posing together on the red carpet in NYC AND Lively and Hoover unfollowing him. Even when costars hate each other, producers will convince them to pose together (however briefly) at the premiere, even if it?s part of a larger group. There was none of that at the NYC premiere, and obviously, he didn?t even come to the London leg of the promotion. Something absolutely went down. Ive seen some people theorizing that Baldoni didnt appreciate Blake trying to whitewash the domestic violence storyline? There are rumors about Ryan Reynolds getting too involved in the production too.

Here are some photos from last night?s New York premiere of It Ends With Us. I?m also including some of Blake?s flower-intensive promotional looks from this week too. As we discussed, Blake?s IEWU character is named Lily Bloom. She works as a florist. Blake is Captain Obvious. Blake chose a very special ?floral? look for the premiere a vintage Versace dress once worn by Britney Spears in 2002. Blake told People Mag at the premiere that it was actually the same dress Britney wore. The fact that Blake can fit into that dress after four kids? Kind of amazing. Sidenote: this early-2000s Versace era was so good, Donatella had taken over from her late brother and she was really going lighter and brighter.
As always, Ryan Reynolds joined Blake at her premiere. Hugh Jackman came out as well, because I guess Hugh is part of the Lively-Reynolds family now (lucky him). I don?t begrudge Blake the support she?s the executive producer on this film, the source material for which (arguably) romanticizes domestic violence and she?s really trying to hype it.
I?m not looking up the fashion IDs on all of Blake?s floral looks but the ensemble with the chaps is insane. All of these looks are pretty tragic, actually.

Look who?s back in LA! Jennifer Lopez traveled to her home in the Hamptons before the Fourth of July. She was there for well over a month a month full of chaos, divorce rumors and apparently little to no communication with Ben Affleck. Now she?s back in LA and she?s shopping for real estate. That?s what these photos show J.Lo was checking out a property in Bel Air.
As for all of the gossip? the past 48 hours have been a whirlwind of briefings from ?sources.? Chatty-ass sources are spilling their guts about Bennifer to TMZ, the Mail, Entertainment Tonight, Page Six and People Magazine. The broad strokes: Ben and Jen are not speaking to one another, they?re communicating through their managers, they will eventually file for divorce but they want to work out the details before they announce anything, and there?s a great deal of humiliation and embarrassment for all involved. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are considering next steps as their summer winds down. The Atlas actress, 55, hasnt seen Ben for weeks, a source tells PEOPLE. Shes been spending time in New York City and the Hamptons, where she held a large birthday bash with friends and family, sans Affleck, 51. Affleck, meanwhile, has mostly been spending time in Los Angeles, and Lopez recently returned back to L.A.
They?re moving on separately. Jennifer is trying to find a new home to start fresh, adds the source.
Signs that their marriage was in a bad place became evident in May, when sources said Lopez and Affleck were living under separate roofs. They put on a united front at graduation gatherings and other family milestones but later embarked on separate summer plans. They marked their two-year wedding anniversary apart in July.
Considering everything thats going on, Jennifer is having a good summer, the source says. Shes been off and able to focus on whats next. She?s enjoyed spending time with her kids, family and friends.
She always has good attitude even when things are not perfect, adds the source.

Jen spent a few months trying to make him chase her, but something shifted in recent weeks when he skipped her birthday and apparently didn?t even call her. Now she?s on the separation/divorce train too and trying to save face. Here?s the thing? I?m already primed to take her side, honestly. Like, if it went down like that and Ben was suddenly over it and began slow-walking the divorce, I?m absolutely on her side. Anyway? what if they announce everything on Ben?s birthday, the 15th?

Just a few weeks ago, I was much more hopeful about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. While I thought they were going through a bad patch, I took hope in the fact that J.Lo seemed to want to stay married to Ben, and that she seemed to believe that she could win him back somehow. But nowadays? it looks pretty bad. How did we go from ?J.Lo is trying to make Ben chase her? to ?they hate each other and they aren?t even speaking anymore?? That?s apparently the state of play, at least according to TMZ:
Things are not amicable between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck the lines of communication are closed and its making it difficult to hammer out a divorce agreement. Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ? J Lo and Ben are not speaking to one another in person or over the phone and its really slowing down their divorce.
Ben and Jens icy relationship is really the only thing preventing this from being a quickie divorce were told they have a prenup and the only asset they have to divide is their Beverly Hills mansion, which is on the market.
Our sources say J Lo and Ben have NOT hired lawyers and are instead having everything go through their respective business managers, who are trying to figure out the financials behind the divorce but its complicated because the principals are not talking.
TMZ broke the stories the estranged couples Bev Hills estate is on the market for $68 million and Ben just closed on his own $20.5 million mansion in Brentwood, as Jen remains on the hunt for a house of her own. Ben closed escrow on the house the same day Jennifer turned 55 thats just a coincidence, but we do know there is no love lost between the two.
Ben and J Lo will eventually hire divorce lawyers, and were told no documents will be filed until they reach a settlement. They will file legal docs requesting a divorce, the judge will sign it and that will be that. But until Ben and Jen start talking again, things will continue moving at a snails pace.

My thing is that I simply don?t believe that any of this was about money, nor do I think the financial part of a seemingly inevitable divorce is the sticking point. The fact that their business managers are apparently doing the negotiating is WILD, but it also points to this whole thing being deeply unserious. Like? if you?re getting a divorce, grow up and hire a fking lawyer. You?re both in your 50s, stop playing telephone games and passing messages through Benny Medina and whoever. I sort of believe that they?re trying to be super-quiet about whatever negotiations are going on behind the scenes, but I also believe that both Ben and Jennifer are incredibly embarrassed. Like, this marriage blew up in both of their faces and they both look like idiots. That?s the biggest reason for the slow-moving divorce they?re both like ?wow, our images are going to take a huge hit when we file for divorce.?

I know there are a lot of big Blake Lively fans out there, so I?ll try to be as nice as possible, even though Blake and her allure of antebellum pluck my last nerve. Blake?s promotion for It Ends With Us began last week, and she?s using the movie promotion to also launch her haircare line, Blake Brown. Blake stepped into an executive producer role for It Ends With Us, and she?s actually co-EP with author Colleen Hoover. Meaning, Hoover had a big say in how her book was adapted for the screen. This should make fans of the book happy. Months/years after BookTok made IEWU into a massive hit, I was basically the last one to figure out that the core story is actually about domestic violence. Like, it?s not a straight romance it?s a story about abuse.
Blake?s character in IEWU is named Lily Bloom. Guess what Lily Bloom does for a living? She co-owns some kind of florist?s shop. If you need to be bashed over the head with this, Blake?s promotional fashion tour features a lot of florals and flowery designs and prints. Last week and over the weekend, Blake did a promo blitz which included some cute dresses and one completely wacky ensemble which involved clashing prints. Awful.
Here?s a Dauphinette look this is one of her few looks we have access to, photo-wise. You can see the Mail?s fashion coverage here. I wonder if Blake thought she was doing a really big fashion tour which would dominate the celebrity/fashion media, but not enough paparazzi turned up? Because that?s what it feels like.

For the past two months, the vibes have been horrendous when it comes to Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. Initially, it seemed like they were having issues and they just needed a break from each other, or maybe they just needed to reconnect and work on their marriage. Then Jennifer flew to the Hamptons and Ben stayed in LA. Rumors abound that their marriage ?has been over for months? and they have ?deeper issues? beyond Ben?s discomfort with J.Lo?s fame. Then on J.Lo?s birthday last week, Ben stayed away. Not only that, but he closed escrow on his new bachelor pad ON her birthday. As I?ve said throughout the week, I truly believe a divorce announcement will happen soon. The Daily Mail believes the same:
Jennifer Lopezs love may not cost a thing, but her divorce to Ben Affleck sure will. Friends have claimed to DailyMail.com the 51-year-old Last Duel actor and the superstar singer, 55, are once again pushing ahead with divorce after a final attempt at reconciliation in recent weeks failed.
The couples divorce documents are finalized, but not yet turned in, multiple sources have claimed.
The news follows Affleck buying a new $20.5 million bachelor pad mansion in the Pacific Palisades on Wednesday, July 24, the day Lopez turned 55. Friends of Lopezs claimed Afflecks sudden bachelor pad purchase on her birthday had been a stab to the heart.
July 24 also marked the day Lopez also finalized the sale of her four-bedroom New York City penthouse for $23 million, People reported.
?They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them, one source close to the duo claimed. At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldnt. Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it, another source claimed.

Oh god, what if Ben told Jennifer that she can announce their divorce in her On The JLo newsletter? What if she?s been putting it off because she still believes they can reconcile? I don?t know. I hate to say it, but I actually think the Mail is correct I think Ben and Jen have already worked out everything behind the scenes and they?re just waiting for the right moment to drop the news. I think their marriage really is over. It?s really sad. Jennifer must be devastated, honestly. I hate to do this, but I?m once again using the photos from the This Is Me? Now premiere in February, which is where many of us got our first inkling that Ben had checked out of this marriage big-time.

The saga of Kevin Costner?s Horizon: An American Saga continues? For those who haven?t been paying attention to Horizon (of which there are many), a quick recap: Costner walked away from his $3 million-an-episode gig with Yellowstone to film his passion project, which he stars in, directs, co-wrote, and produced with $38 million of his own money and a mortgage on his Carpinteria mansion. Oh, and his great vision for Horizon was a series of four films, each with a running time of two-to-three hours. The great payoff for Costner would be when audiences flocked to see the first installment, H:AAS ? Chapter One. If you film it, they will come. Only the people didn?t come, and the critics who had to see the movie panned it. Chapter One bombed so badly that the second film lost its mid-August release date. But I guess Costner has been working the phones, because lo and behold, H:AAS ? Chapter Two will now premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September:
Kevin Costner?s ?Horizon: An American Saga ? Chapter Two? is set to world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in September after its U.S. release was pulled.
The Western epic?s second chapter was scrapped earlier this month from its planned Aug. 16 release in U.S. theaters after ?Horizon?s? first installment, which carried a $100 million budget, earned only $11 million on its opening weekend.
?Chapter Two? ? which Costner again directs and stars in alongside Sienna Miller, Sam Worthington, Jena Malone and Danny Huston ? will bow on the Lido out-of-competition on Sept. 7. The world premiere will be preceded earlier the same day by a screening of the first ?Horizon? movie, which launched from Cannes in May to a seven-minute standing ovation.
New Line Cinema?s ?Horizon: An American Saga? is a multi-faceted depiction of the Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West. In addition to directing and starring, Costner served as a co-writer with Jon Baird (?The Explorers Guild?) and produced through his Territory Pictures.
?My dream was always to show ?Horizon: An American Saga ? Chapter Two? at the Venice Film Festival,? Costner said in a statement. ?The fact that now they have decided to show ?Chapter One? earlier in the day and then the world premiere of ?Chapter Two? that evening shows not only their belief in how the two films work together but their support of a director?s vision. I?m indebted to Alberto Barbera for his courage and leadership in committing to this cinematic journey.?
Added Barbera: ?It is a great pleasure and honor to host the world premiere of the chapter two of ?Horizon: An American Saga,? alongside its chapter one. In Variety?s review of the first film, chief film critic Owen Gleiberman wrote: ?Instead of unfurling a Western saga in a solid powerful arc, Costner serves up three hours of anecdotes, cross-cutting among groups of characters, dropping in on situations that are dropped just as quickly, taking a skittery overview of life on the range, and asking the audience, in many cases, to stitch together the backstory of what they?re seeing.?

That was a slick move by Variety to reprint their lukewarm review at the end there. Also slick, or at least curiously worded, was Venice Film Festival Director Alberto Barbera slipping into his statement that Horizon is a ?late addition to the lineup.? And Costner finagled not only the world premiere of Chapter Two, but also a screening of Chapter One earlier in the day? I hope there?s a decent break between the films! I once went to a double feature of The Godfather I & II in a single day; there were five hours between the start times. The tight turnaround was intense, but it was an offer I couldn?t refuse! (Thank you, thank you, I know that was well done.) Bear in mind, also, that Costner is supposedly just starting production on the third film, and who knows about the fourth. In the meantime, I?m assuming Signore Barbera will soon be moving into Costner?s Carpinteria mansion. That was the bargaining chip, si?

Matt Damon has a new movie, out on AppleTV this month. The Instigators stars Damon, Casey Affleck, Jack Harlow (!!), Ving Rhames, Hong Chau, Alfred Molina and more. I?m including the trailer below it reminds me a bit of The Town, which was (arguably) Ben Affleck?s best directorial effort. It?s like ?what if The Town was funny and the thieves had a therapist??
Last night was the big premiere, and Matt brought his whole family out. His mom was there, his wife Luciana was there, and he posed with their four daughters. Matt Damon has been a girl-dad this whole time and I was like ?wait, his daughters are that old already??? From People, their daughters and their ages: Isabella, 18, Gia, 15, and Stella, 13, plus 24-year-old Alexia, who is Luciana?s daughter from a previous relationship (Matt raised Alexia and considers her one of his four kids). The girls are beautiful and they?re all sort of spectacular blends of Matt and Luciana? They got Matt?s cheekbones but with Luciana?s coloring and hair.
Also: Luciana apparently produced The Instigators and she ?convinced? Matt to step into the role. I?m trying not to remember all of the dumb sh-t Matt has said over the years, and I just hope this promotional tour goes well and he doesn?t remind everyone of all of his gaffes.

The Paris Olympics held their opening ceremony on Friday, to mostly rave reviews. Even French people were like ?WTF? at some parts of it, so you can imagine what Kelly Clarkson and Peyton Manning NBC?s special Olympic commentators had to say about it. I will say this, it was a great idea to have Kelly doing the opening ceremony because she was nerding out about all of the music. Kelly was such a cheerleader for Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and the French musical acts who were featured in the very long-winded and rain-soaked ceremony.
For the Americans (I think these videos are geoblocked), you can see Celine Dion?s performance on the Eiffel Tower here, and you can see Lady Gaga?s performance here (NBC is blocking the videos from being embedded too). Celine overcame significant health issues to be able to perform at the Olympics, and almost everyone who watched that was moved to tears. Her performance of E?dith Piafs L?Hymne a? l?amour was so special. The French fans and all of the tourists in Paris have been giving Celine flowers and just showering her with love all week.
One of the craziest moments and something which is still being discussed is the whole ?singing beheaded Marie Antoinette? thing. They really did that. Not only that, they had the ?Marie Antoinette? thing staged at the Conciergerie, the real prison where she was held before she was beheaded. Apparently, Republicans are trying to turn ?Marie Antoinette being sent to the guillotine? into some kind of culture war in 2024. They?re all online, calling it disrespectful to Christians? Hm. People might need to step back and think about all of this.
