Here are some photos from last night?s gala event for the New York City Ballets 75th Anniversary. Sarah Jessica Parker, a longtime supporter and patron of the NYC Ballet, was there with her husband Matthew Broderick. Interestingly enough, Diane Kruger also decided to come out for this event. Diane has attended NYC Ballet events in the past, but she?s not known as some kind of long-time supporter of the company. I find it fascinating that Diane made a point of stepping out with her partner/fiance (and father of her child) Norman Reedus this week, the week that Jodie Turner Smith filed for divorce from Joshua Jackson. I think she did it on purpose, that she was looking for a chance to send a signal that she and Norman are still together. Considering she?s given interviews for years now, taking swipes at Joshua, you can?t blame me for feeling like this was pointed. Diane wore a ?bridal white? bespoke Givenchy to the gala. The sleeves are so bad, it looks like her arm is in a sling.
Here?s SJP and Matthew Broderick. Sarah Jessica always does tulle-intensive ballerina looks for NYC Ballet events. We don?t talk about that enough, that SJP is a theme-dresser. This dress is Carolina Herrera and she added a giant hair bow. I get what she was doing but this feels like mutton dressed as lamb. I know exactly how judgmental that sounds but I still say this look is way too ?young.?

I was in my 30s before I really understood that the British class system is vastly different from the American class system. In America, class is determined by money more than anything else, and you can be born in one class and move to another through work, education, marriage and/or money. In Britain, you?re born and you?ll die in the same class, regardless of what happens in between, regardless of who you marry or what money you make. The idea of ?middle class? is vastly different too in America, ?middle class? means families who, like, own a home, live in the suburbs, at least one parent has a college degree and enough income to live somewhat comfortably. In Britain, that same family would easily be called ?working class.?
The difference in class systems and how they?re viewed is on display in Netflix?s Beckham docuseries. Within Britain, Victoria and David Beckham are both viewed (and they view themselves) as coming from working-class backgrounds. But David called out Victoria on-camera in what is becoming THE viral clip from the series:

This feels like the first time in years that I?ve seen Taylor Swift in bike shorts, a slouchy t-shirt, sneakers and a baseball cap. Throughout this year, she struts around New York in heels, minis and other cute ensembles. She?s the queen of street style and one of the nicest things about Taylor is that she gets ?dressed up? to leave her house. It does look like Taylor dressed with purpose though her t-shirt is from Free People, and it?s the Shania Twain ?Any Man of Mine? tee. Her sneakers are New Balance and she carried a Louis Vuitton purse.
These are pics of Taylor coming and going from the Electric Lady studio in NYC. The woman with her is Keleigh Sperry, aka Miles Teller?s wife. Miles and Taylor worked together a few years ago when he was cast in the music video for Taylor?s ?I Bet You Think About Me.? Taylor has been in and out of the Electric Lady all year, recording new music and re-recording 1989 (Taylor?s Version). She uses it as a social club too, inviting her friends to hang out at the studio and listen to her record. But where?s Travis Kelce? Well, even if Travis isn?t around constantly, he and Taylor are apparently quite smitten with each other:

She was so fking quiet during that relationship and while I appreciated that, and it felt like she was maturing, it?s been fun to see her as a chaotic single girl, out enjoying her life this year. Was the Matt Healy situation pretty bad? Yes, but it was also hilarious, because she was so out of practice as she tried to grapple with her feelings for a racist famewhore. This Travis Kelce thing must be a welcome relief.

It?s been interesting to watch as Sophie Turner becomes some kind of sainted figure for a particular group of people, and those people suddenly fancy themselves family-law experts who claim that Sophie is 100% right and Joe is 100% wrong. While I?ve said all along that Joe?s carefully orchestrated campaign against Sophie was a nasty business, don?t confuse that with Sophie having a strong position. She is not in a strong position whatsoever. As soon as she claimed that Joe was abducting their children while their daughters were with her in New York and after she had been served with the order to not remove the children from the US it was clear that Joe and Sophie both needed to come to the table and work out their sh-t quietly. Thankfully, over the past week, it looks like they?ve started to do just that. They?re now dealing with the family court in New York, they agreed to not remove the girls from the greater New York area for the time being, and now they?ve agreed to mediation:
Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are turning to mediation to work through custody of their children. In a hearing on Tuesday, lawyers for the estranged couple revealed that they are set to start a four-day mediation on Wednesday to resolve issues in their divorce, including establishing custody and a parenting plan for their two daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 14 months.
Although Judge Katherine Polk Failla set a Jan. 2 trial date, the mediation aims to solve many of Turner, 27, and Jonas custody issues. In court, Turners lawyer Stephen Cullen claimed that Jonas, 34, is asking for joint custody, saying that what he was looking for is a 50-50.
The parties are both seeing their children, which is what we all want, Cullen later said.
Judge Failla agreed with Cullen, saying that she echo[es] concerns about the children that he had brought up.
Despite high hopes for the mediation, Cullen said that the current case should proceed in parallel track to [the] mediation.
Reps for Jonas and Turner did not immediately respond to PEOPLEs request for comment regarding the mediation.

For the record? Joe has never said that his aim was full custody. He?s always said that he and Sophie should have 50-50 custody, and he?s actually fine with Sophie moving back to the UK and raising their daughters there half the time. He just doesn?t want to move to the UK, which seems to be the root of all of this drama more than anything else. I would love to know how all of this plays out in mediation, but that?s the whole point of Sophie and Joe going through mediation they can work this sh-t out with their lawyers in a room instead of the acrimonious legal filings.

Selma Blair was finally diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS) five years ago. I say ?finally? because she only got the proper diagnosis after being in pain for most of her life, and spending ten years doggedly seeking an answer. On Monday Selma was invited to speak at the White House to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Rehabilitation Act and the 33rd of its descendant, the Americans with Disabilities Act. Escorted on the arm of President Joe Biden ? who fought for both bills in Congress as a senator ? and with the assistance of a cane and her support dog Scout, Selma spoke with candor about how both laws have helped her to be ?a proud disabled woman.? I?m not crying, you are.
Blair told a crowd of advocates attending the ceremony, ?Although I?d had symptoms since the age of 7, it took a lifetime of self-advocacy to finally lead me to a diagnosis at age 46, after living most of my life in pain and self-doubt.?
She said Judy Heumann, a renowned activist who helped secure passage of the legislation protecting the rights of disabled people being celebrated Monday and who died in March at age 75, ?Taught me my worth.?
?The push towards equity continues,? Blair said. ?Our laws and policies must reflect that our disabled lives are not of lesser value.?
Biden also hailed Heumann, noting that, ?History shows it?s often not the people in power, but the power of the people that move the country forward.?
The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in programs conducted by federal agencies, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 prevents discrimination against disabled people on everything from employment to parking to voting.
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and Biden noted both bills received bipartisan support when clearing Congress.
?These laws are a source of opportunity, meaningful inclusion, participation, respect, and, as my dad would say, the most important of all, dignity,? Biden said. ?Be treated with dignity. Ensuring that the American dream is for all of us, not just for some of us.?

Selma looked like a BOSS. Everything about her look is goals for me: the white-blonde slicked-back hair, the Chanel-esque Carolina Herrera suit with impossible-to-miss embellishments, a faithful dog companion, what looks like a lucite cane. It?s all working, and it?s all fabulous. The only area I?ll have to tap out on are the heels. I look like a baby giraffe taking her first steps in those things.
So a breakdown of her look may seem superficial, but I think it makes a deeper impact too. Everything she (and Biden) spoke about had to do with equity, dignity, and worth. With that outfit and the way she carried herself, Selma?s whole presence commanded respect and attention. So much respect, in fact, that when Biden bent down to give Scout a scritch (who was napping at Biden?s feet), when Selma gave Scout a gentle direction it was Biden who responded by standing up straight again. Good boy, Joe! And it made me so, so happy that she and Biden both honored Judy Heumann, who was a great light that went out this year. Those acts would not exist today without her, as she was ?the mother? of the disability rights movement in America.

Bennifer has been relatively quiet for months. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been seen a few times walking arm in arm down a street, or going to dinner, or having an argument in a car but it was an incredibly quiet summer for them, and I imagine it will be a quiet fall. I?m fine with that I wish them well and I believe in them. I believe that it?s different now, that Ben has had enough of scratching his self-destructive itch, that he?s really making an effort to ensure that this marriage works. This is one of those rare situations where it feels like ?no news is good news.? Now, Page Six and other outlets are desperately trying to convince people that there?s drama behind the scenes, especially with their blended family. ?Sources? shut it down:
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are crushing co-parenting ? and they have Jennifer Lopez to thank for it. The singer has helped her husband and his ex-wife get to a ?better place,? a source told the Daily Mail Thursday.
?Ben is healthy,? the source continued. ?The drama of the past and the emotions of divorce are long gone and they are all making it work.?
In fact, Lopez herself is ?friendly? with Garner and all of their children ?love each other.?
?It is really a very happy co-parenting situation,? the source furthered.

I actually believe this? I don?t think Garner wants him back and I think she?s happy to see him with J.Lo. Or rather, Garner got there eventually, and I would also assume that J.Lo made an effort as well. I find the blended family aspect fascinating it?s clear that Emme and Seraphina were instantly tight, just as it was clear that Ben felt comfortable with J.Lo?s twins right away. As for Marc Anthony? from what?s I?ve heard, he?s barely involved with those kids, but whatever. Don?t get me wrong, I think Joe Jonas is a creep, a jerk and probably quite sexist too. He clearly wanted Sophie Turner to be his tradwife, and he backtracked in a hurry when his week-long smear campaign against Sophie backfired. All that being said, as Sophie and Joe?s dueling legal filings have shown, Joe is a lot more prepared than Sophie. He?s been preparing for this divorce for months, he?s listening to his lawyers and, by filing for divorce first in Florida, he?s done a lot to control how the divorce and custody battles will proceed. All Sophie has is? a letter. A letter Joe wrote when they were shopping for real estate in the UK.
Sophie Turner has filed legal documents that include a heartfelt letter written by Joe Jonas to the seller of the U.K. home the former couple intended to purchase together before their split. The exes have been involved in a contentious ongoing custody dispute about where their children ? Willa, 3, and Delphine, 14 months ? should live in the wake of their divorce. The Game of Thrones actress, 27, claimed in an earlier filing that the familys home base was in the U.K. and revealed she and the Jonas Brothers singer, 34, had entered into a contract to buy a home in her native country.
According to Page Six, Jonas reportedly wrote in part, When my wife and I decided we were going to spend more time in the UK and search for a permanent home, our daughter expressed three unwavering requirements: having chickens, a pony and a Wendy house While many of the houses we viewed met this criteria, the moment we turned the corner and caught sight of the charming blue shutters adorning [redacted], we experienced a sense of magic unlike anything we had felt before.?
He also reportedly wrote to the owner: We can envision our children growing up here and making this our forever home,? and, ?I really think Sophie and I will be able to look after [redacted names] and for many years pay homage to the magic you have created here.?
However, a source close to the situation tells PEOPLE of the house in England, They did not buy the house. The house is in escrow, the sale never closed. According to an earlier filing from Turner, they began looking for a house in the U.K. in Dec. 2022. The search continued through July 2023, when they entered into a contract to purchase a property, but the deal would not be completed until December 2023.
They have never been residents of the U.K., the source adds. Residency is a legal term and that is how the courts will define it. Residency includes things like where you have your driver?s license, where you vote, where your kids go to school, where you last lived as a family for a significant period of time (specifically 6 months).
In 2021, Turner and Jonas had purchased and completely redecorated a family residence in Miami. They listed it for sale in April 2023 and sold the property for $15 million in August. Referencing this property, the source continued, There is no place the family lived for 6 months or longer other than Florida. Intention, expressed in a letter or otherwise, does not equal residency. Actions do. And so while the letter was inserted in the motion in order to pique the attention of reporters, it won?t actually be material to determine legal residency.

Yeah? Joe?s side is correct. While the letter shows that Joe, at one time, intended to buy a home in the UK, it?s not some smoking gun which proves that Joe and Sophie lived in the UK, had established residency in the UK or that this is a British family court issue. Like, it sort of feels like Sophie?s biggest issue with Joe is that he changed his mind about moving to the UK, or that he was never even sold completely on the move in the first place. This letter would be a smoking gun in a civil case if Sophie was suing him over a failed real estate deal, but in a divorce case, the letter isn?t that important?

Taylor Swift is re-releasing 1989, her pop-music album which, for my money, is probably her best and her most iconic. 1989 (Taylor?s Version) comes out on October 27. What?s sort of amazing is that she not only recreated the album, she?s actively recreating the vibe miniskirts, strutting around New York and girl squads. The update to the vibe is that Taylor has a new boyfriend, football player Travis Kelce.
Well, Taylor spent the whole weekend getting all kinds of headlines. Saturday night, Taylor was out with her New Girl Squad: Sophie Turner, Blake Lively and? Brittany Mahomes, wife of Patrick Mahomes, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs. They went out to dinner at Emilios Ballato in SoHo. Later that night, Travis snuck into Taylor?s apartment and he apparently spent the night ahead of his big game against the Jets.
Then last night, Taylor arrived at the Metlife Stadium (in New Jersey) with the Nu Squad: Sophie, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Robyn Lively, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter and director Shawn Levy. They were in the VIP area with Travis?s mom Donna Kelce and Brittany Mahomes. This time, Taylor didn?t wear any Chiefs merch, which probably caused some NFL merch guy to weep. The Chiefs won and so did the television producers who kept cutting away to Taylor in the VIP area. After the game, Taylor then hit up Zero Bond with some of the squad.

She didn?t want to move into the White House, and she used the excuse of not wanting to remove Barron from his school in New York. We learned, later on, that Melania was actually holding off on the move until she successfully renegotiated her prenup/postnup. Once her husband signed off on more money for her and Barron, she finally agreed to move into the White House. Now, years later, Melania has once again used her leverage to renegotiate the postnup. That leverage? Her unhinged husband will likely be in prison within a year.
Sources tell Page Six that Melania Trump has ?quietly? renegotiated her prenuptial agreement with Donald Trump in advance of his potentially serving a second term in the White House. An insider told us of the agreement between the couple who married in 2005, ?Over the last year, Melania and her team have been quietly negotiating a new ?postnup? agreement between herself and Donald Trump.?
The source further said, ?This is at least the third time Melania has renegotiated the terms of her martial agreement,? but the source added that it?s not because the former first lady is going anywhere. ?Melania is most concerned about maintaining and increasing a substantial trust for their son, Barron,? 17, the same source familiar with Melania, 53, told Page Six. The new agreement also provides for Melania, and spans money and property, according to the source.
A different source told us of the new agreement, ?I know that she wanted it to provide her with more money, and also ? from what I understand ? there?s a specific amount at minimum that Barron is supposed to obtain.?
The first source said that the timing of the updated agreement wasn?t only because Trump, 77, could potentially serve another term, but because of his recent legal battles as well. Said the insider, ?This agreement was necessary because of the current legal battles? [Donald] has suffered? ? including potential payouts in New York Attorney General Letitia James? sprawling, $250 million civil case against Trump and his real estate business, as well as his order to pay $5 million to E. Jean Carroll for defaming her. Said our source, ?Trump remains very rich, but with mounting legal bills and judgements,? the renegotiated prenup would ?provide a more solid future? for Melania and their son should the couple split.
?It?s not that she threatened to leave him,? the source cautioned. ?It?s definitely the underlying idea.?

Personally, I don?t think Melania will leave at this point, especially not when she?s so close to becoming his widow. While Page Six doesn?t say this, I would also assume that some of these postnup clauses involve changes to his will to ensure that she and Barron get a huge chunk of everything. It also wouldn?t surprise me if Melania ends up with a huge amount of control if her husband goes to prison or he dies soon. Think about how Ivanka is in the wind, how Eric is basically too stupid to do anything and Don Jr has what looks like a raging drug problem. And Tiffany WHO? Who else is gonna be in charge? That?s the argument Melania?s lawyers are making.
