Selena Gomez was a long-time supporter of Kamala Harris Selena is a California resident, so Harris was her state?s AG and senator before the vice presidency and last year?s presidential run. Selena endorsed Harris for president and even posted on her social media about voting-by-mail. Selena has also been a longtime advocate for the Mexican-American community, the undocumented community and the immigrant community. Her grandparents came to America as undocumented immigrants. So? yeah, Selena is really torn up about what?s already happening in the second Trump administration. ICE has already conducted hundreds, if not thousands of raids, and many people are being deported without any due process. On Monday, Selena posted this tearful message on social media:
Selena Gomez shares emotional Instagram Story about the deportation of Mexican people:
?All my people are getting attacked, the children. I don?t understand. I?m so sorry, I wish I could do something but I can?t. I don?t know what to do. I?ll try everything, I promise.? pic.twitter.com/il8pPXYZma

| Naomi Watts writes down her dreams first thing when she wakes up | Added 162 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

For the past few years, Naomi Watts has been doing what she can to bring attention to menopause. Naomi, who is now 56, started perimenopause at 36. Since that is still fairly young, Naomi struggled through it alone. At the time, she was trying to have children and was not a candidate for IVF, which added a whole other level of stress. But, she got through it and has been doing her best to raise as much awareness as she can. She even started Stripes, a line of supplemental products for menopausal people.
Naomi?s latest push to normalize conversations about menopause is a book called Dare I Say It: Everything I Wish I?d Known About Menopause, which came out last week. In the book, she talks about her experience with early menopause. She also shares other personal stories, like this one about how her husband Billy Crudup made her feel less self-conscious about wearing a hormone patch by telling her that he has gray hair where the sun don?t shine. To promote the book, Naomi shared her daily routine with People for their latest wellness series. Turns out, she?s a morning person and a competitive Wordle player who drinks her coffee black and keeps a dream journal. From Naomi:
I usually wake up five minutes before my alarm. On a regular day to get the kids out and on their way, my alarm is set to 6:55. I take a lot of time winding down at night but I go straight into my day. I get up on my feet very quickly and start the day with energy.
Im a natural early bird. My husband Billy [Crudup] is a night person. Usually, Im up before him and let him sleep.
When I first open my eyes, I might think about a dream Ive had and write it down. I think what goes on in the night in the unconscious can give you clues, messages that might be helpful for my days work. That sounds a bit woo-woo, but I often analyze dreams.
The first thing I attend to is getting my dog Izzy out which often happens earlier than I would like. Were in New York, in an apartment, and sometimes Ive been grateful theres not a paparazzi out there because I am still in my pajamas under a coat and my hair?s everywhere.
Next I try to wake up the kids [Sasha, 17, and Kai, 16]. They definitely take time. I am lucky if I can shove some toast down their throats before they leave. It always feels a bit chaotic in the mornings with teenagers.
I drink black coffee. I used to be a cappuccino girl, but I went straight to black coffee once I moved to America. I have one of those percolator machines and I use Peet?s coffee.
I do a Wordle every morning. I play on a Wordle chain. Im very competitive with games and we have seven or eight people on our chain. Whoever won the day before gets to choose the word. I like to get that done before 10 a.m.
Exercise sets the day for me. Most of the exercise I do now is strength training. I still like yoga, but mostly I lift weights. Sometimes I go to a gym and sometimes I do it on my own with a video. Keith Anthony is a guy that I met at a class a long time ago. He now has a website and he has recordings, so I just do his videos.
After I exercise, Ill have boiled eggs or with avocado and tomato, or yogurt with berries and granola. I like to not eat before I exercise.
In the shower I use Hrklinikken Stabilizing Scalp Shampoo. This is a Danish company at the forefront of haircare that a friend recommended to me. My hair is thinning and Hrklinikken?s products create stronger, healthier hair growth. I?ve seen great results and have been using these products for a couple of years.
My post-shower routine tends to be simple. I just put moisturizer on. I love The Power Move by Stripes [Wattss skincare and beauty company]. It?s really good for sensitive and dry skin.
[From People]
Naomi?s life and routine is basically my yearly New Years? resolution, lol. I?m not a morning person, but every night, I set my coffee pot to go off at an early time because I resolve to start my day as soon as I wake up to use the restroom instead of crawling back into bed and trying to squeeze in another 30-45 minutes of sleep. I love that she?s disciplined enough to write down her dreams, too. I dont think thats woo-woo at all. I?ve tried it a couple of times, but it?s never stuck. I did buy one of those ?dream dictionary? books a long time ago, though, because I do believe that your dreams are trying to tell you something. I?ve just never been good at figuring out what!
Oh, and I suppose I do have one thing in common with Naomi. I do coffee and Wordle first thing in the morning too (and Connections and Strands and, if I?m in the mood to feel frustrated, The Mini). I?m not that competitive, though. I just do it for the self-satisfaction I get when I guess the right word. Also, I think it?s funny how many celebrities are in competitive Wordle groups. Celebrities, they?re just like us.

| Jennifer Lopez wore a 'spiderweb' Valdrin Sahiti to her big Sundance premiere | Added 163 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The Sundance Film Festival began last week, and Jennifer Lopez came to Park City, Utah to promote her latest film. Last year, she filmed Bill Condon?s Kiss of the Spider Woman on-and-off for months this was what she was working on when her marriage to Ben Affleck fell apart. I never would have thought that J.Lo would end up at Sundance, but here we are. She didn?t feel the need to dial down the glamour either while she was bundled up like she was on a ski holiday for much of her time at Sundance, she ended up wearing some slinky couture for the premiere. She wore a ?spiderweb? dress by Valdrin Sahiti and she looked great tiny, but great. She?s lost weight, hasn?t she? J.Lo told reporters that she feels like this was the role she was born to play:
Jennifer Lopez is braving the Sundance snow to tease her buzzy new project ? which, as she noted, is her very first movie musical.
At the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on Sunday, Jan. 26, the actress-singer, 55, discussed her upcoming project Kiss of the Spider Woman alongside director Bill Condon and costar Tonatiuh as part of the Los Angeles Times Talks series, presented by Chase Sapphire Reserve.
I never felt in my life that I was born to play a part ever. And I really felt that with this, Lopez said of her character, screen star Ingrid Luna. Love is just love and people are just people. And for me, that resonated very deeply because of my own life and my own children. And so I really took to it so immediately and was so excited.
A reimagining of the 1993 Tony Award-winning musical and 1985 movie of the same name, Kiss of the Spider Woman stars Diego Luna as Valentin Arregui, a political prisoner during Argentinas civil war in the 1980s. Incarcerated alongside him is Luis Molina, portrayed by Tonatiuh, 30.
Getting to sing the songs from musical creators John Kander and Fred Ebb ? and with Chicago and Dreamgirls director Condon, 69 ? was a dream come true, said Lopez, who is also among the films producers.
I did [Selena Quintanilla-Prez biopic] Selena years ago, but it was not my voice, she noted. They wanted to use her voice. I did dance a little, but there wasnt much choreography. So this was my first musical.
[From People]
The fact that Bill Condon is the director and he reimagined the musical makes me think that this will end up being really good. I?ve seen some Sundance reviews and they?re saying the same thing, that this is a very interesting adaptation and Jennifer is great in it. Additionally because we?re talking about Jennifer Lopez she appeared at a pop-up party and performed a couple of songs, just for the hell of it. A new J.Lo era!!

| Kelly Ripa says she gained 12 pounds when she quit drinking for Dry January | Added 163 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
Alright, where are my fellow Dry January participants? How?s everybody doing now that we?re in the home stretch? I?ve done Dry January every year since 2020 and despite all of the real world sh-t that?s bombarded this last week, this has been my easiest year yet.
Every year, we hear about celebrities who are doing Dry January. Last year, we got play-by-play updates from Amy Robach and TJ Holmes. Tom Holland and Bella Hadid are both on record as Dry January success stories. Now, we can add Kelly Ripa to the list! Last week, Andy Cohen was a guest host on an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. When Andy talked about how he?s doing Dry January again this year, but hasn?t lost any of the weight that he usually loses, Kelly shared that although she doesn?t drink anymore, the year that she did do Dry January, she ended up gaining 12 pounds!
During the Wednesday, Jan. 22 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa was joined by Andy Cohen as a stand-in co-host while her husband. Mark Consuelos, is filming a new project. During the opening segment, Cohen, 56, revealed he?s currently participating in ?Dry January? and not drinking for the month.
However, as Cohen detailed his experience, he remarked that ?usually a little weight loss comes my way after, but this year, its not really happening yet.?
?I told you when I quit drinking, I expected there to be this windfall of weight loss because everybodys like, ?Well, you are going to get too skinny, and you cant afford to lose it,? ? Ripa, 54, said before revealing the opposite occurred. ?I gained 12 pounds [and said], ?I dont understand this magical weight loss that people apply.??
?I think I just took to eating the sugars,? she continued. ?Because apparently, alcohol is like a lot of sugar, which you dont really realize when it goes in it tastes kind of bitter.?
Ripa revealed in January 2020 during an episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan that she eliminated alcohol from her diet in 2017. The following month, she told PEOPLE that she and her friends decided to try a sober month, and once she completed it she realized she ?felt great? and ?liked the way [she] felt.?
?It wasn?t even really a thought process. It felt great, I felt like I looked great, I felt like I didn?t feel hungover. Not that I was a heavy drinker ? I wasn?t someone who got drunk ? but even like two glasses of wine at a girl?s night out dinner; I would feel it the next morning,? she said.
?I just didn?t really feel the need or desire to go back to it,? she continued. ?It wasn?t really a choice or a thought, it was just, ?Yeah, I guess I don?t drink anymore.? ?
At the time, Ripa said quitting smoking in the early 90s was something that she ?really had to think about,? noting that quitting drinking ?was very easy? and she ?didn?t really think about it at all.?
?I?m not comparing cigarettes to alcohol, but for me it was just like, I don?t do that anymore, Ripa added. I felt better so I just stopped.?
[From People]
Replacing alcohol with sugar and extra food in general is absolutely a real thing. I remember a friend from college telling me once that they kept either gummy bears or Swedish Fish on hand to keep the cravings down when they were trying to give up alcohol. That?s crazy that she put on 12 pounds though! For Kelly, giving up alcohol was probably easier than giving up smoking because she had that sugar substitute. The nicotine patch was only available by prescription from 1992 to 1996 until it was made available over-the-counter. I?m happy for her that she?s living her best sober life. That?s awesome.
I?m in Andy?s camp this year. My first year, I lost 16 pounds and in subsequent years, ?only? lost around five. Honestly, this is my first Dry January in which I haven?t lost any weight, but my kids have been home from school for this entire month (they?re in year-round school) and I?ve definitely had more than my fair share of Crumbl Cookies and Peanut M&Ms over the past four weeks, lol. Ha, gee, I wonder if that could have anything to do with it?

| Ariana Grande on her first Oscar nom: 'I cannot stop crying, to no one's surprise' | Added 166 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Before I saw Wicked, I was fully prepared to say ?this is not for me.? But then I watched it and? yeah, I enjoyed it. Was it the best thing ever? Eh, that?s an impossible standard, but it was fine-to-good. What really surprised me was how much I enjoyed both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande. Both women really worked their asses off and you could see it on screen. Well, now both women are Oscar-nominated for their performances, Cynthia as the lead actress category and Ariana in supporting. To celebrate her first Oscar nomination, Ari posted this on her social media:
picking my head up in between sobs to say thank you so much to @theacademy for this unfathomable recognition. i cannot stop crying, to no one?s surprise. i?m humbled and deeply honored to be in such brilliant company and sharing this with tiny ari who sat and studied Judy Garland singing Somewhere Over the Rainbow just before the big, beautiful bubble entered. i?m so proud of you, tiny.
thank you again, from the bottom of my heart, for this acknowledgement @theacademy.
thank you @jonmchu for taking this chance on me and for being the most unbelievably brilliant leader, human being, and most fierce friend. i am so deeply proud of my beautiful Wicked family. i am so proud of my Elphie, my sister, my dear @cynthiaerivo. your brilliance is never ending and you deserve every flower (tulip) in every garden. i love you unconditionally, always.
i don?t quite have all my words yet, i?m still trying to breathe. but thank you. oh my goodness, thank you. Universal, Marc, my family, my heart.
lemons and melons and pears, oh my.
[From Ariana?s IG]
Real talk: if Ariana was a less messy person or she had a less scandalous romantic life, I actually think she would be a major contender. I?m not even joking, she was really good in Wicked and she absolutely deserves this nomination. I?m just saying, she probably could have won if she and Ethan Slater didn?t have an affair and wreck both of their marriages (ON THIS FILM!). Alas, my guess/hope is that Lilly Jay?s well-timed essay last month was the final word on Ariana?s Oscar chances. As it should be.

| Blake Lively wants a judge to issue a gag order on Justin Baldoni's legal team | Added 167 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
On Tuesday, Justin Baldoni?s team released ?raw footage? from It Ends With Us, a ten-minute clip of Baldoni and Blake Lively shooting a ?slow dancing? scene at a crowded bar. The scene was supposed to be used in a montage about their characters falling in love. Blake cited the filming of that particular scene in her sexual harassment complaint and her lawsuit against Baldoni. Baldoni added context for what actually happened within his lawsuit, then he released the footage to prove his point. There were obviously a lot of interpretations about what the video actually showed, but that didn?t stop Blake?s team from claiming that her visible discomfort (within the 10-minute video) proved that this was one instance of Baldoni sexually harassing her. Team Lively must have been unsettled by the fact that so many people actually watched the video and debated what it really showed about her dynamic with Baldoni though, because it looks like Team Lively is trying to make sure that Baldoni isn?t allowed to provide any more context or evidence of Lively?s misrepresentations or exaggerations.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds want a judge to gag Justin Baldonis lawyer claiming hes making false statements about the case.
The megastars filed a letter in court Tuesday and, in it, they ask the court to issue a protective order to stop Baldonis lawyers led by Bryan Freedman from engaging in improper conduct including going on an alleged harassing and retaliatory media campaign against Blake and Ryan.
They say hes violating court rules that stop a lawyer from making statements to the press that are irrelevant to a case and might prejudice the jury. In it, Blake and Ryan specifically mention the release of unedited footage from It Ends With Us filming which Blakes team claims corroborates, to the letter, what Ms. Lively described in her initial complaint back in December.
Remember, Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and engaging in a coordinated effort to destroy her reputation. Baldoni has since filed his own $400 million lawsuit against Lively accusing her of defamation, civil extortion and other allegations.
Baldonis team released the behind-the-scenes footage from the movie to prove he never made harassing comments while Blakes team pushed back and said Baldoni never discussed or choreographed the intimacy here and, it made her uncomfortable.
Sources connected to JB tell TMZ they believe its grossly unfair to impose a gag order after Justin has been defamed by the New York Times in an article that they say has cost him three jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars. All Justin wants to do, the source says, is release videos and text messages to prove the allegations are false.
The source adds, it is unbelievable that Blake Lively would go on a takedown campaign against Justin and then immediately turn around and say she wants a gag order so that Justin cant defend himself.
[From TMZ]
I actually understand Team Lively?s point Baldoni and his legal team are absolutely waging a trial in the court of public opinion, and given the multiple lawsuits involved, I?m sure gag orders will eventually be issued (hopefully to all sides). That being said, Team Lively is mad that they?re losing in the court of public opinion, let?s be clear. Blake, Ryan and their team have been waging their own campaign to win over the public, establish their narrative and rebrand Blake. They?re the ones who went to the New York Times, they?re the ones who immediately ran to People Mag for a sugary, sympathetic cover story about poor Blake, they?re the ones who have loudly screamed ?DARVO? every time Baldoni pointed out an inconsistency or provided receipts to dispute Blake?s story. All of their efforts have been hampered by Baldoni refusing to just roll over. I?ve been asking this for weeks, but it?s still so striking to me did Blake honestly think that Baldoni wasn?t going to fight back? Did she really think that he would not defend himself?

| Gwen Stefani: 'One of the purposes of my life is to be a wife and a mother' | Added 167 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Gwen Stefani and Blake Sheldon have been together for 10 years and married for three-and-a-half. Gwen has always been a devout Catholic, and for the last month or so, she?s promoting two things: her new album, Bouquet, and a prayer app called Hallow (Insert the lame ?hallow-back girl? joke of your choosing here). Gwen started writing Bouquet when she and Blake got engaged and dedicated it to him and their ?love story.? Gwen sat down for an interview with Today, in which she talks about the album, her musical journey, her favorite memory from No Doubt, her life?s purpose, and more.
Everyone has a purpose: We all have a purpose. One of the purposes of my life is to be a wife and a mother. But the only time I feel like Im really contributing to the world is when Im writing songs.?
On the ?magical? collabs on Bouquet: ?Yes, yes! This album was magical and special and a miracle. Its a pure miracle I received these songs. I was like, ?What? Again? I get more?? There was one really unexpected collaboration and that was that Blake Shelton hopped on a song called Purple Irises. That was pretty special because, you know, everybody wants him. The other huge collab was this producer called Scott Hendricks who is more of a country producer. But its not a country record. Its a Gwen record.
How her dreams have grown throughout her musical journey: ?The longer I get to be part of the world and try to fulfill the purpose ? my purpose ? of making songs, you want it more and more and more. Because its got to be over soon. Its got to be. Once you get that love, once you got to share your life with people, its hard to stop. The dream just keeps getting bigger in a way, and the gratitude keeps getting more as well.?
She really loves collaborating with other artists: Theres never been a time where I havent like absolutely enjoyed collaborating. Collaboration is when I feel like I shine the most. Thats when like I feel like Im the best. I would definitely go back in the studio with any collaborator that Ive ever worked with and write a song. I love writing music. It is the one thing that makes me feel like Im worthy of something to be on this planet for. I need to keep pressing that button and try to write songs. You want to collaborate, Im right here, guys.
Her favorite memory from the No Doubt days: ?I was sitting on the tour bus, and we had been on tour for a while. I was actually making a baby blanket for my sister. I was like sewing this blanket by hand, everyone else was like doing other stuff ? I wont say what ? and I looked out the window and I see all these girls coming to the concert. I was like, ?Oh my gosh, that girl, shes dressed like me.? It was just this amazing how is that happening right now? It just made me feel like impossibly good.?
What music she?s listening to now: ?I think theres a lot of good music out there. I kind of went backwards in the last couple of years. As Ive been writing this record, I rediscovered a lot of the music I was listening to when I was a kid. Back in the station wagon, going to church, listening to soft rock. One of my favorite new artists that my son turned me on to is Zach Top. I love that record so much; such good lyrics and voice and melody. Im going to come and see the concert.?
[From Today.com]
At first, it was kind of jarring to reconcile that the woman who co-write ?Just a Girl? was gushing so hard about her purpose being ?a wife and a mother,? but then I remembered that this is what Gwen has always wanted. She tells us in several No Doubt songs. In ?Simple Kind of Life,? she sings about wanting a simple man so she could ?be a wife? and wanting to be a mom so badly that she sometimes wishes ?for a mistake.? ?Marry Me? is all about how she likes ?tradition? and wants to get married and cook dinner. She?s in a happy marriage and a good place in her life, so I?m glad that she got what she?s always wanted. Good for her.
What she says about really wanting to keep making more music as she gets older because she?s realizing her own mortality is pretty poignant. I feel that sentiment hard. I also love the way she tells the story about her favorite memory from No Doubt in which she?s sewing a blanket by hand while the male bandmates are doing ?other stuff? that she can?t say. It paints a picture of her sewing while all sorts of debauchery is going down around her. I don?t know if it?s being stuck inside all day because of the snow or what, but for some reason, this imagery is so funny to me right now.

| Ryan Gosling is in talks to star in a new Star Wars movie from Shawn Levy | Added 167 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
This is interesting news for us nerds. Its been reported that Ryan Gosling is in talks to star in Shawn Levy?s untitled, standalone Star Wars film. The film has been in development since 2022. By my count, there are at least 10 other Star Wars movies currently in development, but the casting of Gosling is likely to help propel this one to the front of the production list. This is just a report, though, so Gosling?s casting isn?t a done deal just yet and neither party involved (Levy, Gosling, or Lucasfilm) have confirmed anything yet.
If you?re a Jedi, then Ryan Gosling is a Jedi? well, maybe.
The Barbie star is reportedly in talks to star in a new Star Wars movie written and directed by Deadpool & Wolverine filmmaker Shawn Levy, according to multiple outlets.
While other details surrounding the force-filled movie are currently floating in space, Ryan boarding the ship would likely send the project?which Levy has been slowly developing since 2022, including bringing on his This Is Where I Leave You screenwriter Jonathan Tropper??into hyperdrive,? according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The new addition to the Star Wars franchise?which has seen Disney+ TV shows The Mandalorian, The Acolyte and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew added to its repertoire in recent years?would be a standalone movie, akin to 2018?s Solo: A Star Wars Story, per the outlet.
E! News has reached out to reps for Gosling, Levy and Lucasfilm, but has not heard back.
[From E News Online]
Anyway, I admit that I am intrigued by this news, even though part of me thinks it?s overkill when big movie/TV franchises cast really famous actors in big roles. I like when relative unknowns or underexposed actors have a chance to make a role their own like that. That said, I also thought this way about Jude Law being cast in Skeleton Crew before I watched it and found him to be utterly fantastic in it. So, I?m willing to keep an open mind about Ryan. I like that its going to be a one-off and hope they dont tie it into a spin-off TV show, lol.
I?ve been thinking about what type of role I can see Ryan playing and I honestly can?t decide. No matter how hard I try, I really can?t see him playing a Jedi or Republic politician. I also can?t see him playing a member of the Empire or some slimy smuggler character either. I guess it makes sense that he?d be a complicated anti-hero-turned-hero-type character a la Han Solo, especially because the one-off comparisons all mention Solo instead of my favorite non-original trilogy film, Rogue One. Speaking of Rogue One, it would be cool if he played a Rebellion character like Cassian Andor, but I have a feeling Ryans role will be a lot less serious and give us some comic relief.

| Taylor Swift wore Area for dinner at Nobu, and head-to-toe Chanel at the Chiefs game | Added 170 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Taylor Swift was relatively quiet for several weeks in the new year. Then she got name-checked in Justin Baldoni?s lawsuit, and suddenly Taylor was out and about all over the place. Baldoni isn?t suing Taylor, but he claimed that Blake Lively used Taylor to pressure him into agreeing to Blake and Ryan Reynolds? rewrites. He also included text messages where Blake referred to herself as Khaleesi, and Ryan and Taylor were her ?dragons.? Blake and Taylor have been good friends for years, so I doubt their friendship has been rocked by any of this, but I doubt Taylor appreciates being name-checked in these lawsuits.
As soon as Baldoni sued Blake, Ryan and their publicist, Taylor quickly changed the subject and announced donations to ten charities and foundations dealing with the Southern California wildfires. She posted information about California Community Foundation Fund, Direct Relief, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and more. Good for her.
Then on Friday, Taylor stepped out in NYC with her parents, her brother and her friend/stylist Ashley Avignone. They went out to dinner at Nobu, and Taylor wore a great ensemble by AREA, with Chloe boots. Taylor has a pretty epic boot collection, and it?s one of the reasons why she loves colder weather too she can bring out her boots! I actually really like this ensemble and her styling (minus the bangs).
After her New York outing, Taylor made it to Kansas City in time to watch the Playoff game between the Chiefs and the Houston Texans. The Chiefs won, 14-23. At the game, Taylor showed off her latest collected friend: none other than Caitlin Clark, who has challenged Taylor in the ?most-talked about white woman? stakes in the past year. Caitlin is genuinely a Taylor Swift fan she went to at least one Eras concert, and Clark also ?liked? Taylor?s Instagram endorsement of Kamala Harris. Taylor?s ensemble at the Chiefs game was all Chanel, from the Resort 2025 collection. A $9600 tweed coat, ?$4,650 wool jersey romper and $2,250 chain pearl belt. She also wore $1,150 oversize double C Chanel disc earrings and a $5,000 Chanel mini flap bag.?

| Jessica Alba announced the end of her marriage & 'a new chapter of growth' | Added 172 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jessica Alba?s divorce is starting to freak me out a little bit. It?s just so? un-Hollywood. In Hollywood, even the most generous and warm divorces have some spice and drama. I mean, a marriage is ending, clearly two people have fought about something, whether it?s infidelity, money, careers, kids. Even if two celebrities manage to be completely mature and loving in their divorce, there?s still drama over divorce lawyers or assets or PR! But not Jessica Alba and Cash Warren. At least not yet. I don?t even get the sense that Alba and Warren are making an effort to position themselves in any kind of way, and neither party seems particularly concerned about their image or their assets. Even TMZ?s announcement about their separation last week didn?t feel one-sided or dramatic. And now this Jessica Alba has announced on Instagram that her marriage is over. This is what she posted:
?I?ve been on a journey of self realization and transformation for years ? both as an individual and in partnership with Cash.?
?I?m proud of how we?ve grown in our marriage over the last 20 years and it?s now time for us to embark on a new chapter of growth and evolution as individuals.
?We are moving forward with love, kindness and respect for each other and will forever be a family. Our children remain our highest priority and we request privacy at this time.?
[From Alba?s IG]
Hilariously, she didn?t even pin that IG, at least she hadn?t pinned it as of this writing. She just tossed it off like it was a random announcement about some minor gig. So, I have a small theory about this I think Alba and Warren?s marriage was obviously more like a loose partnership in recent years, and they were basically just staying together for the kids. Maybe they also had a trial separation, or they agreed to spend more time apart. I think Alba is the one who decided to pull the plug, and she expects Cash to not put up much of a fight about anything. Maybe she?s fine with everything she?s built being part of the community property of their marriage too.
Also: People Mag reported exclusively that Alba hired a divorce lawyer. Us Weekly says that Cash and Jessica plan to file for divorce soon and Cash is moving out, but things have slowed down because of the Southern California fires. Hm.
