Even with the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes still ongoing, it feels like so much is happening the Venice Film Festival closed this past weekend, the Toronto Film Festival started several days ago, and New York Fashion Week is super-star-studded. The Michael Kors show is always a popular ticket during NYFW, and the star of the Kors show is inevitably Blake Lively. Blake is all about Kors and she almost always comes out for his runway shows.
He usually gives her something from his new collection too, which explains why Blake wore this Michael Kors bellbottom jumpsuit. Thoughts? I don?t hate it, although I wonder if the jumpsuit would be better with a simple flared leg rather than full bellbottom. The golden shade complements Blake?s coloring and I love her curly hair and the overall ?70s vibe. While I think Blake generally has a Mall Girl aesthetic, she actually pulls off some generational vintage-style fashion.
Here?s Jenna Dewan at the Kors show? I only love the coat here. I would wear the hell out of that coat.
Kelsea Ballerini loathe the sunglasses, dislike the ?high fashion fanny pack? energy.
Olivia Wilde god help me, but I love this outfit. Great coat, great boots, amazing knits. I don?t even mind the fringed purse.

Here are some photos of Taylor Swift out in New York on Friday night. She was one again at the Electric Lady Studios in Greenwich Village. It?s Taylor?s hottest club she?s been recording at that studio for the better part of a year, and she invites her friends to hang out with her there. On Friday, Margaret Qualley, Karen Elson, Cara Delevingne, Sadie Sink, Hayley Williams and several other friends all joined her.
Guess who else was there? Sabrina Carpenter. If you?re in any way familiar with the backstory of Olivia Rodrigo?s first album, Sour, you know that Sabrina Carpenter was ?the other woman? in Olivia?s first relationship. After Taylor and Jack Antonoff sicced their lawyers on Olivia over her song ?deja vu,? Taylor then invited Sabrina to open for her Eras Tour. Taylor and Sabrina are now tight, and Olivia is apparently writing music about how Taylor fking sucks. Behold, Olivia?s ?The Grudge,? which many people believe is about Taylor.
There?s also a lot of discussion about Olivia?s ?lacy,? which is more clearly about a woman a rival, someone who screwed over Olivia professionally and personally?
I have no idea what?s about Taylor and what?s about Sabrina or whether these songs are about someone else entirely. What I do know is that on the same day Olivia?s GUTS album was released, Taylor was in her Bad Blood era with her performative girl squad, which now includes Sabrina Carpenter. Sh-t went down and I?m on Team Rodrigo.

Here are some photos of Jessica Chastain and Peter Saarsgard at the Venice Film Festival, where they premiered and promoted their latest film, Memory. At the photocall, Jessica wore a ?SAG-AFTRA on Strike? t-shirt while Peter wore a pin. At the premiere, Jessica went full showgirl in a bronze, sequined Gucci gown. She said I?m here to PROMOTE. Jessica?s style has improved so much in the past five years or so I sort of give some credit to her fashionable Italian husband.
Memory got a SAG-AFTRA waiver, which means that Jessica and Peter are not only free to promote the film, their union is actively encouraging them to do a lot of press and talk about why the waivers are a good thing and why their union is on strike. Jessica did just that:
Jessica Chastain made an impassioned appeal to U.S. actors, urging them to promote indie movies on Friday at the Venice Film Festival press conference for Michel Franco?s drama ?Memory.?
?I was very nervous about coming,? said Chastain, who was wearing a black ?SAG-AFTRA on Strike? T-Shirt, revealing that ?there were actually some people on my team who advised me against it.? Chastain then noted that actors are ?often made to keep quiet in order to protect future working opportunities, and we are often told and reminded how grateful we should be. And that is the environment that I think has allowed work to be abused, to go unchecked for many decades. And is also the environment that has saddled members of our union with unfair contracts.?
Since ?Memory? obtained an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA, Chastain and co-star Peter Sarsgaard were present at the press conference.
?I am here because SAG-AFTRA has been explicitly clear that the way to support the strike is to post on social media, walk the picket line and to work and support interim agreement projects,? she said. ?It?s what out national board, negotiating committee and our elected leadership has asked us to do.? Chastain continued, ?The independent producers, like the ones here, are letting the AMPTP know that actors deserve fair compensation, that AI protection should be implemented, and there should be sharing of streaming revenues. I hope my being here today encourages other independent producers, and encourages actors to show up [at festivals] and support our union members. Hopefully we will see an end to the strike soon and hopefully AMPTP will go back to the table.?

I think it?s kind of amazing how the SAG waivers have worked out when it comes to the film festivals you?ve got actors and writers attending the festivals solely to promote waivered productions, and giving voice to their unions? talking points in front of a global media. This ?waiver? gamble really worked out.

Danny Masterson faced a retrial on three counts of rape this past spring. In late May, he was convicted of two out of three counts, and last week was his sentencing hearing. Notably, Masterson did not speak in his own defense in his trial, nor at his sentencing. Instead, he asked his colleagues and friends to write letters of support to the court. Many of his former costars did just that, including Masterson?s old That ?70s Show costars Debra Jo Rupp, Kurtwood Smith, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis. Ashton and Mila?s letters are getting the most attention because they were the most high-profile people to support Masterson, and because Ashton supposedly cares so much about human trafficking and abuse, just not when his bro is doing all of the raping.
Kutcher and Kunis wrote letters in an effort to urge the judge for a lesser sentencing. In Kutcher?s letter, he referred to Masterson as a ?role model.? In Kunis? letter, she vouched for Masterson?s ?exceptional character? and referred to him as an ?outstanding older brother figure.?
Other stars from ?The 70?s Show? who wrote to the judge include Debra Jo Rupp, who played Kitty on the sitcom, and Kurtwood Smith, who played Red. Masterson?s famous family members wrote letters in his support, including his siblings Alanna Masterson (?The Walking Dead?), Christopher Masterson (?Malcolm In the Middle?), Jordan Masterson (?Last Man Standing?), as well as his brother-in-law Billy Baldwin and his wife, the actor and model, Bijou Phillips. Other Hollywood names who wrote to the judge include actor Giovanni Ribisi; Jim Patterson, creator of Netflix?s ?The Ranch;? Masterson?s former publicist, Jenni Weinman; and TV director, David Trainer, who worked on ?The 70?s Show? and ?The Ranch.?
In Kutcher?s letter, he writes: ?While I?m aware that the judgement has been cast as guilty on two counts of rape by force and the victims have a great desire for justice, I hope that my testament to his character is taken into consideration in sentencing. I do not believe he is an ongoing harm to society and having his daughter raised without a present father would [be] a tertiary injustice in and of itself. Thank you for taking the time to read this.?
Kunis? letter adds: ?I wholeheartedly vouch for Danny Masterson?s exceptional character and the tremendous positive influence he has had on me and the people around him. His dedication to leading a drug-free life and the genuine care he extends to others make him an outstanding role model and friend.?
Both Kutcher and Kunis wrote about Masterson?s drug-free lifestyle, and noted he was a positive force on their lives. During the trial, prosecutors said Masterson drugged women before sexually assaulting them.
?One of the most remarkable aspects of Danny?s character is his unwavering commitment to discouraging the use of drugs. His influence on my in this regard has been invaluable,? Kunis wrote. ?In an industry where the pressures and temptations of substance use can be overwhelming, Danny played a pivotal role in guiding me away from such destructive paths. His dedication to avoiding all substances has inspired not only me but also countless others in our circle. Danny?s steadfastness in promoting a drug-free lifestyle has been a guiding light in my journey through the entertainment world and has helped me prioritize my well-being and focus on make responsible choices.?

I?m including a tweet with Ashton?s letter below it?s wild that he writes ?he is among the few people that I would trust to be alone with my son and daughter.? Not to get too nitpicky, but Masterson was not convicted of child abuse, he was accused and convicted of raping multiple adult women. As for Mila raving about Masterson?s anti-drug lifestyle, Masterson was also credibly accused of drugging several of his victims before he raped them.
So, yeah Ashton and Mila fking suck. I?ve known that for many years, especially about Ashton (who still has me blocked on social media because Ive repeatedly called him a racist and a cheater). Mila and Ashton have shown everybody who they are for years. There?s a theory brewing that Masterson basically threatened them with exposure if they didn?t publicly support him though as in, Masterson knows so many of Ashton?s dirty little secrets, it would be mutually assured destruction if Masterson was ever feeling chatty.

This week, on the day that Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner, he organized a little paparazzi photo-op with his two daughters and some unknown woman, probably a nanny. They were having breakfast at Sweet Butter Kitchen. So? he?s already trying to flood the public with images of ?Joe Jonas, the doting single father who cares for his children while their unfit mother works in a different country.? As I?ve said before, I really hope Sophie is watching what he?s doing and figuring out her plan of action. She should not expect him to ?play fair? he has literally spent the whole week smearing her and telling the world that he spies on her. It doesn?t matter if nothing Joe has said has landed Sophie needs to be prepared for when he finds something that does land. Meanwhile, the misogynists at TMZ actually had a story which is seemingly negative about Joe Jonas?
Sophie Turner was struggling after the birth of her second child, and Joe Jonas was less than supportive, so claims several sources who were around Joe after the birth.
Our sources say, after their youngest child was born a year ago July, Sophie didnt want to leave their home she didnt want to be photographed or go to events. Nevertheless, she attended several events with Joe, but at one specific event, several people who were there said Sophie made it clear she was uncomfortable and didnt want to be there.
Shortly after that event, there was another in which Joe attended but Sophie didnt. Our sources say Joe complained Sophie was MIA and felt she needed to get out more. It was clear to the people who were there and heard Joe there was a strain in the relationship.
Whats interesting as we reported, over the last 6 months it seemed the tables had turned for Joe he was complaining she was too into partying. Sources connected to Joe acknowledge challenges in the relationship, but say Joe was supportive of Sophie getting the London acting gig.

So, a woman who had been open about her years of mental health struggles found it difficult to bounce back into public life after giving birth to her second child, and instead of being supportive and listening to what Sophie was going through, Joe demanded that she doll herself up and be his plus-one to events. Then, after she made a postpartum recovery and started to gain some independence away from Joe, suddenly he had BIG problems with his tradwife going outside. ?Go outside! No, not like that.? Just what every young mother wants to hear. Like, I was never a Joe Jonas fan (Nick is the only JoBro I would fk with), but I didn?t actively hate him until this week.

Sophie Turner was 19/20 years old when she first started seeing Joe Jonas in 2016. By 2018, they were engaged and in 2019, they were married. She was 23 years old. Problems for all of 2023: A friend of Sophies, who did not want to be named, revealed that the couple started having problems last Christmas and that she separated from him at the start of this summer, spending the ensuing months partying with school friends in the UK or holidaying with them in Europe. The actress looked in high spirits as she partied the night away at arcade bar Dropshot Digbeth in Birmingham where she had been filming her upcoming ITV series, Joan. Its believed to have been the wrap party for the series, which has seen Sophie working in Britain since May, and she let her hair down in style as she enjoyed the 6.50 cocktails and showcased her strength by punching a boxing game.
A British visit: In an effort to save the marriage, Joe came to the UK with their two children over the summer and spent time in Warwickshire, where Sophie was brought up. But after failing to work through their differences, he returned to the US with their children who have been living with him since the split.
Sophie felt trapped: The friend revealed: Sophie feels like shes only just waking up to what her life and reality really is. She became famous at a very young age, then married and had kids at a young age and never really had the teenage years of sleeping around and just having carefree fun with friends. She feels like her life has stalled after Game of Thrones and so has her personal life. Since the kids came along, shes feeling trapped. Shes the only person in her tight friendship group who is married with two children? Now she feels that she wants to make up for the time shes lost as a young person. He (Joe) wants a more settled life but shes not ready for that because she feels that shes not even had a teen or young adult life.
Joe wanted another child: Joe would like another kid, hes a real family man. But while Sophies been in the UK, shes also realised just how much she misses this country; its the final nail in the coffin for them.
Being compared to Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra: Nick is younger than Joe but is more settled. He and Priyanka are on the same page about their careers and family life. Joe and his family want him to be in a relationship like this, but Sophie feels that shes only 27 and hasnt even really lived because shes spent all her good, young years working. It wasnt an issue at first but the age gap between Sophie and Joe has become a real problem. They want very different things.

Here?s what I believe from these quotes: I believe that Sophie felt trapped because Joe trapped her, I believe she?s been homesick for England for a while and I believe that once she took a job in England for months, that was basically the beginning of the end. She got away from Joe and took a good look at her life in comparison to her peers, she likely realized that she wants to keep working and she wants to have some different experiences beyond the tradwife life. The thing is, people were concerned about this from the very beginning of her relationship with Joe I remember saying ?wow, she?s too young for all of this.? Did her family not say that to her? Did her friends? I mean, what?s done is done, but yeah? this was all heavily foreshadowed for years, she just didn?t see it. Oh, and Joe wanted a third kid? Get off of her! Let her work!

Back in February-March, Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly had some kind of major falling out. She removed her engagement ring, she was seen crying after one of his shows, she was acting like she was single and ready to mingle at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. MGK and Megan reportedly went into couples counseling but it was touch-and-go for a few months. I was rooting for them to breakup, just because I don?t think their relationship is particularly healthy and it feels like they could use some space from one another, to put it mildly. But they got back together and the engagement is back ?on,? last I heard. One month ago, Entertainment Tonight reported this:

One of the funniest/sleaziest dramas of the year had to be the Al Pacino/Noor Alfallah saga. In late May, we learned that 82-year-old Al Pacino was expecting a child with his 29-year-old ?girlfriend? Noor Alfallah. Pacino?s people called her a golddigger and suggested openly that she scammed her way into the pregnancy, while Noor?s people were like ?she?s not a golddigger, she just loves old people!? It?s true that Noor is seemingly always in the company of a much older man. In any case, the pregnancy story set off a two-week gossip bonanza and finally, Pacino tried to put a bow on it by talking publicly about how he was looking forward to being a father again. Al and Noor made a big show of being ?together? and she quietly welcomed a boy, Roman Pacino, in June. Now the ?relationship? with Al Pacino is over and Noor has gone to court to establish custody of Roman.
Al Pacinos girlfriend Noor Alfallah has filed for physical custody of their son, Roman, according to multiple reports. In legal docs obtained by The Blast, Alfallah, 29, requests that Pacino, 83, have ?reasonable visitation? of their 3-month-old baby.
Alfallah, a producer who graduated from the University of Southern California?s Cinematic School of Artagrees, also reportedly requested the Academy Award winner have joint legal custody, which would allow him to participate in major decisions concerning their baby, including medical treatment and education.
A specified amount for child support was not listed in the initial filing, according to The Blast, but per California law, the income of each parent is to be established first before ordering child support.
Alfallah is also reportedly asking the court for the House of Gucci star to pay for her legal fees and any costs associated with the case.
A Voluntary Declaration of Parentage (or Paternity) was signed by both parties, according to reports, six days before baby Roman was born. A VDOP is a ?government form two parents can sign to create a legal parent-child relationship between a child and parent? and is ?often signed at the hospital when a child is born, but it can be signed later,? according to California Courts. The document was signed by Pacino and a third-party witness.
On Wednesday, Pacino and Alfallah were spotted at dinner at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles with another couple, a source tells PEOPLE. The pair arrived together and enjoyed dinner next to each other, the source added.

It actually sounds like Al and Noor are on the same page about his involvement and financial responsibilities and that they?re doing everything through the court so it will be above-board and established. I?m really happy to see that no one is buying Joe Jonas? week-long smear campaign against his estranged wife Sophie Turner. Sophie and Joe?s names have been trending on the artist formerly known as Twitter, and it?s just wall-to-wall call-outs for what Team Jonas is trying to do. First, Joe wanted sympathy because the poor dude is looking after his children this summer while Sophie works in England. Then he filed for divorce and leaked to TMZ that Sophie ?likes to party,? GASP. Even if it was true (there?s no evidence that it is), liking to go out to a nightclub with friends isn?t a divorceable offense. Still, Team Jonas isn?t giving up their quest to turn Sophie into The Unfit Mother Who Likes To Party. Apparently, Joe was monitoring his wife on a ring camera and he saw her do or say something that he didn?t like. My dude, why are you monitoring your wife again? CREEP.
Joe Jonas saw/heard something with Sophie Turner that was the last straw in his decision to file for divorce, and it involves a ring camera.
Multiple sources who have direct contact with Joe tell TMZ Joe had access to a ring cam that he said captured Sophie saying and/or doing something that made him realize the marriage was over.
TMZ broke the story Joe and Sophies marriage had been on the rocks for at least 6 months, and it was all over a significant difference in lifestyles. As one source put it, She likes to party, he likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles.
As we reported, over the last 3 months, Joe has had the kids almost all the time. Sophie has been in London, but Joe and his bros were touring the U.S. and he had his 2 small kids in tow.
We know Joe had been in touch with at least 2 divorce lawyers last week. Interestingly, both lawyers are in L.A., yet he decided to file divorce docs Tuesday in Florida.

My question is about logistics Sophie has been working in England for months, presumably staying at a hotel or some kind of rental home/apartment. When and where did this ring-cam incident take place? Did Sophie know she was on camera? Did she know Joe was monitoring her every fking move? And was this just something he watched randomly, or was he poring over all of their ring-cam footage obsessively? I?ve seen a lot of people theorize that Sophie was probably just talking to a friend and bitching about her marriage or complaining about Joe. Anyway, this story makes Joe come across as such a creep.

Although Emily Blunt did an excellent job in Oppenheimer, I did think it was kind of a thankless part. That does not appear to be the case with her next project. Yesterday Netflix released a trailer for Pain Hustlers, coming out in late October and starring Blunt and Chris Evans as pharmaceutical reps. I?m getting Erin Brockovich-meets-Breaking Bad vibes, with an opioid-crisis setting:
Emily Blunt is hustling her way to the top in her latest film.
On Wednesday, Netflix debuted the first trailer for Pain Hustlers, which stars Blunt and Chris Evans as pharmaceutical sales employees pushing opioids in a story based on real events.
Blunt plays Liza Drake, a single mom ?at the end of her rope? after losing her job, per a synopsis. ?A chance meeting with pharmaceutical sales rep Pete Brenner (Evans) puts her on an upwards trajectory economically but dubious path ethically as she becomes entangled in a dangerous racketeering scheme.?
The film?s trailer teases Liza and Pete?s high-earning, hard-partying lifestyle as title cards read that Pain Hustlers ?may cause increased energy, elevated mood, ecstasy, paranoia, aggression [and] greed.?
As Liza deals with ?her increasingly unhinged boss, the worsening medical condition of her daughter, and a growing awareness of the devastation the company is causing,? she begins to re-examine her career choices.
Netflix described the film as a ?sharp and revealing look at what some people do out of desperation and others do out of greed.

Tis the season for pharmaceutical cinema, I guess. I?m genuinely surprised that Netflix is releasing this so soon after Painkiller, their six-part series with Matthew Broderick as Richard Sackler that just came out last month. Don?t get me wrong, I?m positively gleeful with Big Pharma clocking in so much screen time as the super villains they are. They?ve well and truly earned it. I just find the timing questionable from a content perspective. My general impression of this first trailer was, this story has already been told, so what?s different? I think it?s gonna come down to the solid cast bringing people in, led by Blunt and Evans, and rounded out with Andy Garcia and? Catherine O?Hara! You can?t tell who she?s playing from the trailer, but does it really matter? (Answer: no. Thank you for gifting us with your talent, O Great Catherine.)
