For years, Amazon Prime has been trying to pull together a series based on the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider video game. The game/IP was already adapted in two films starring Angelina Jolie, and one 2018 film starring Alicia Vikander as Lara. For some reason, I thought Vikander?s turn as Croft was a flop, but I just checked the box office and it made $274 million worldwide, not too shabby with a $90 million budget. Still, within the cultural zeitgeist, Angelina Jolie is the actress more closely associated with Lara Croft, and the 2001 film also made $274 million worldwide. Well, like Spider-Man, they?re just going to keep rebooting this property, and reportedly, Sophie Turner has been cast as the new Lara.
Sophie Turner has been tapped to play Lara Croft in an upcoming streaming adaptation of Tomb Raider and a source exclusively tells Life & Style the Game of Thrones alum is throwing herself into the project and giving it everything she has to try to top the original actress who brought the character to life almost 25 years ago, Angelina Jolie.
Amazon greenlit the Tomb Raider television series earlier this year, but the insider, who is familiar with the project on the streaming giant?s side, dishes, ?This show is a little further along than has been reported in the press so far and some of the scripts that have come in are so good you could just break them out and turn them into full blown blockbuster movies on their right.?
With anticipation building, the production company isn?t cutting any corners to make sure it doesn?t fall flat, as video game adaptations have been hit or miss recently. ?It?s going to be a cool show,? the source assures. ?It?s going to be gritty and violent and it?s going to please the old school fans of the property.? Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be heading the project as writer and producer and the lead role has finally been given to Sophie, 29, after a few months of rumors swirling around casting.
?Sophie is going to town with the training for this movie, and she?s already extremely experienced with screen combat, stunts, and extreme costumes and special effects, thanks to her years in the Game of Thrones and X-Men universes,? the insider adds. ?But she?s getting into even better shape for this job, and sharpening all of her skill sets.?
Without a doubt, Sophie is taking notes from Angie?s prep. ?She absolutely loves what Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander did with their films, but she wants to equal that work and, over the course of many years-slash-seasons, top it,? the source adds. ?Sophie is actually the first English actress to play Lara Croft in live action. That?s a big deal and Sophie knows that gives her a special edge compared to Angelina and Alicia.?
[From Life & Style]
I didn?t think about the fact that, if true, Sophie would be the first English actress to portray Croft. I?m actually okay with this casting? Sophie is tall and it feels like she could really get buff and do some good stunt work. One of my issues with Vikander was that I just thought she was way too small and delicate-looking to play Croft. The character needs someone who looks physically tough and tomboy-ish, and I think Sophie could pull that off. Now, all that being said, I bet Prime still finds a way to fk it up.

In my coverage of Michelle Williams welcoming a new baby, I mentioned that I would be spending the weekend watching her new eight-part Hulu show. I lied. I didn?t spend the weekend watching Dying for Sex? because I watched the whole thing in one sitting the Friday night it premiered. It is SO GOOD. (And the episodes are only 30 minutes each.) The show is based on a true story about Molly Kochan, Michelle?s character, who sets out to explore her sexuality after getting a terminal cancer diagnosis. Heavy stuff, but the show is actually quite hilarious. It?s also refreshingly honest and matter-of-fact in the way the characters discuss their sexual desires, preferences, and disappointments. Michelle just spoke with The Hollywood Reporter to hype the series, and she had some really great answers when asked about filming all the sexual scenarios. Note: there are no spoilers excerpted below, but if you click the link the full interview has many.
There are so many sex scenes in this show. When you were first reading the script, which scene intimidated you most? Which one were you excited about and did that change when you were filming?
The scripts kept rolling in as we were filming, so we would be in the middle of an episode and then we would get a script for the next one. To be honest, at this point, I had watched the first two and then maybe three scripts roll in, and I had felt so enlivened after reading them. While maybe in my schooled brain, or I don?t know I would term it? it?s like the way you were habituated to think or maybe what you were taught or told as a child or an adolescent. The things that you?ve tried to free yourself from as a grown woman and also as a parent of a daughter, in my attempt to untangle myself from these ideas that were given to me so that I could break from that tradition and pass something different onto my own daughter.
Perhaps I heard a tiny little alarm bell twinkling in the back of my brain, saying, ?Oh, that might be embarrassing, or somebody might be upset with you, or what will so-and-so think?? But then my next thought was, ?Fantastic! This is exactly what I set out to do. I want to disconnect pleasure and shame.? That?s really one of the journeys that the character goes on, so can she experience something that?s meant for her that is pleasurable without feeling bad for it, or something that?s going to befall her because of it. So I really leapt wholeheartedly into these scenarios, whether they be in masturbatory sequences or partnered with these people that she meets along the way. I relish the written words and situations that Liz [Meriwether, showrunner] had laid out in front of us.
[From THR]
Michelle Williams always strikes me as so thoughtful and eloquent, and paring down her core emotional attraction to the show to ?I want to disconnect pleasure and shame,? is just splendidly concise. And profound. I mean, that?s it! That?s the whole game! Dying for Sex is definitely not Fifty Shades of Grey, nor is it maudlin, even as they don?t back down from presenting a candid portrait of dying (full confession: I sobbed for the entirety of the final episode). So with all that, it?s hard to convey just how funny and joyous the show is ? Michelle doesn?t get enough comedic roles, her timing and expressions were inspired! It?s also some of the best work I?ve ever seen Jenny Slate do, in the co-leading role of Molly?s best friend, Nikki, who Molly asks to be her primary caregiver. Or as Molly puts it in the first episode, ?I want to die with you.? (?And you?re sticking to that claim that it?s a funny show, Kismet?? ?Yes, yes I am!?) Anyway, enough of me trying to sell it. Go watch for yourselves and then come back to discuss!

| | Cate Blanchett: The Earthshot Prize 'is a real injection of energised hope' | | Added 212 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Over the years, it?s become abundantly clear that the only value Prince William places on the Earthshot Awards is being able to get photo-ops with celebrities. In 2022, he didn?t even invite the prize winners to the ceremony all of the winners had to Zoom into the show while William gurned and egged his way through the big celebrity meet-up. In 2023, Hannah Waddingham, Lana Condor and Cate Blanchett were tasked with flying to Singapore to stroke William?s ego and pose with the ?hot single dad.? In 2024, it was even worse, as William was pretty much exposed for calling up random models like Heidi Klum and asking them to come to South Africa for photo-ops with Peg. Incidentally, I absolutely believe that most (if not all) of the celebrities turning up at Earthshot Prize award ceremonies are getting paid hefty appearance fees.
Well, to hear Cate Blanchett tell it, she?s in it for the love of environmentalism. Cate has absolutely become more interested in environmentalism and sustainable fashion over the years, and I assume that she genuinely believes that Earthshot is an okay program and her support doesn?t come with a price tag. Which is probably why Earthshot people probably begged her to do this dumb interview:
Individuals must not be made to feel burdened with solving climate change alone, Cate Blanchett has said, as she praises the Prince of Wales?s Earthshot Prize. Blanchett, the Oscar-winning actress, said that the ?overwhelming nature of the climate challenge can lead to despair, but we don?t have time for apathy and inaction?.
Noting that it is ?really important to recognise that many people are struggling? themselves, she told the Telegraph: ?Climate can feel like yet another burden to take on ? that no one individual can make the changes needed to turn things around. But,? she added, ?(and it?s a big but!) collectively, we do have power. Small actions do add up. The way we consume does add up.?
Blanchett, who attended the 2023 awards in Singapore, praised the awards for recognising ?innovations that are not only game changing but rapidly scalable? The Prize, I feel, is a real injection of energised hope,? she said.
In an interview with the Telegraph while she was in the UK starring in The Seagull at the Barbican, Blanchett spoke of the ?mess? of climate change, and the importance of working together across the globe to find solutions.
?To pit the economy and environment and our humanity against each other is a retreat to the kind of outdated, failed ideological thinking that got us into this mess in the first place, not what?s needed to get us out of it,? she said. ?The first lesson that a disaster, a crisis, teaches us, is that everything is connected.?
The Earthshot Prize, she said, ?recognises the interwoven nature of the problem ? that advances in one corner of the world have ripple effects in others. The interconnected nature of the Prize is part of its power.?
[From The Telegraph]
I honestly don?t have a problem with Cate?s general sentiments, that it?s not about siloed individuals, banging their heads against the wall about the environment. It?s about working together towards shared environmental goals as a society. I can understand how Cate looks at Earthshot like ?eh, it?s better than nothing.? But again?William doesn?t even speak about Earthshot this way, nor is he capable of expressing these kinds of sentiments. He?s literally just doing it to hang out with famous people and try to convince everyone that supermodels are dying to hang out with him.

| | Hugh Grant blasted an immigration official who asked his kids a 'creepy' question | | Added 213 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

When Hugh Grant decided to become a father, he really went all out, welcoming five children with two different women within the space of about seven years. Tinglan Hong gave birth to a boy and girl (Tabitha and Felix) and Hugh has one son and two daughters with his current wife/partner, Anna Eberstein. Anna is Swedish, although I do not know if she?s still a Swedish foreign national or if she has received British citizenship or some kind of residency. I guess my point is that if Hugh, Anna and their kids are all traveling together, it?s possible that Anna might be traveling under a Swedish or EU passport. In any case, Hugh blasted an unnamed immigration officer for asking some ?invasive? questions:
Hugh Grant was left unimpressed by his latest airport experience. On Friday, April 4, the actor, 64, called out an immigration officer at Londons Heathrow Airport for allegedly acting ?intrusive, insulting and creepy during an encounter with his children.
Writing in a post on X, Grant claimed that immigration officers at the London airport asked his kids if he and his wife Anna Eberstein were their parents.
?Just came through Heathrow with wife and children,? Grant?s post read. ?We all have the same last name (Grant) on our passports. Immigration officer engages my children in chit chat then whispers to them ?Are these your Mum and Dad?? . Intrusive, insulting and creepy.?
While Grant shares daughter Tabitha Xiao, 13, son Felix Chang, 11, with actress Tinglan Hong, he is also dad to son John Mungo, 12, and daughters Lulu Danger, 9, and Blue, 6, with Eberstein, 46.
A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport confirmed to PEOPLE that Border Force officers are employed by the Home Office and not the airport. PEOPLE has contacted the Home Office for comment.
?If you are travelling with a child (under 18) and are not the child?s parent, or may appear not to be the parent (for example, if you have a different family name), we may ask you a few questions to establish your relationship with the child,? a Border Force article on the U.K. governments website reads. ?We will always do this as quickly as possible and in a way which is sensitive to the interests of the child and the adult involved.?
[From People]
My opinion: it can be both ?creepy? and ?a guy trying to do his job.? Like, I totally understand why Hugh was unsettled by an immigration officer speaking to his children in that way. But also? child trafficking exists, even if the passports and documents look above-board. Hugh doesn?t say that the kids were pulled into a security office and separated from him this was just a double-check question by an immigration officer. Also: do you think the guy asked because Hugh is so old? He?s a 64 year old man (who looks his age, honestly) traveling with a twenty-years-younger woman and three young children. I?m just saying, I understand why the guy asked the question.

It feels like we haven?t seen a lot of Michelle Williams over the last few years. For one thing, I think she?s been a lot choosier about projects ever since Fosse/Verdon, the FX series where she won all the awards for her portrayal of Gwen Verdon. Since then she?s done, what? A contractually-obligated appearance in Venom 2, The Fabelmans, brilliantly narrated Britney Spears? memoir, and another FX series that?s out today on Hulu. Of course the other big reason why she?s been working less, is that she met her husband, Thomas Kail, on Fosse/Verdon. They got engaged, married, and pregnant in a whirlwind, with their first son Hart arriving in June 2020, followed by a second baby in the fall of 2022. And Michelle has 19-year-old daughter (yes, she really is all grown up!) Matilda from her relationship with Heath Ledger. But wait, there?s more! Fresh off of a flurry of promotion for her new show Dying For Sex, People Mag got the exclusive that Michelle and Thomas just welcomed their third baby via surrogate six weeks ago. Mazel Tov!
Michelle Williams has grown her family by one more.
The actress, 44, welcomed her fourth baby, her third with her director husband Thomas Kail, PEOPLE has learned. The family of six has been spotted around their New York neighborhood, and a source tells PEOPLE they welcomed their little one via surrogate six weeks ago.
?They couldn?t be happier to expand their family, and Matilda has been doting on her younger siblings,? the source says.
A rep for Williams could not be reached for comment.
The star, who took a brief work hiatus after the success of her last film The Fabelmans, is now flexing her comedic muscles and winning rave reviews for her new limited series Dying for Sex, which launches on Hulu on Friday, April 4.
Williams is already mom to daughter Matilda, 19, whom she shares with Heath Ledger. She also shares son Hart, 4, and a third baby born in 2022 with Kail.
In January 2023, Williams opened up to Entertainment Weekly about taking on one of her biggest roles in The Fabelmans after welcoming her third baby.
?My heart obviously belongs to my children; they tug at it the most,? she said. ?But I really want to be able to have both. And I think that it requires deep thought and learning and the support of other women to figure out how to get through it.?
[From People]
What a happy surprise! And congrats again to Michelle and Thomas. I remember when Matilda was born, Michelle and Heath said they wanted five or six kids. And then as a single mom, Michelle got candid about wanting Matilda to have a sibling. So I?m happy for Michelle that she?s enjoying the family dynamic she?d been envisioning for years. Even if it means seeing her in fewer projects! But that makes the ones Michelle does say yes to all the meatier. And holy cow, Dying For Sex looks like it really packs a punch. Based on a 2020 Wondery podcast of the same name, it?s the true story of a woman, Molly Kochan, who embarks on a quest of sexual exploration and awakening after getting a terminal cancer diagnosis. (Note to all my breast friends: Molly reported a small lump to her doctor who dismissed it, saying she was ?too young to worry about cancer.? Six years later the lump had grown and the cancer had spread. Listen to your bodies and don?t suffer lousy doctors!) Vulture had a great article about the real life story and making of the series, and it sounds like a real celebration of friendship, taking risks for your own personal benefit, and honoring death. Honestly, it sounds like a lot! High comedy and intense emotion. I?ll be watching all eight episodes over the weekend. Is it weird that I might be more intrigued by how they tackle the dying part, as opposed to all the sex? (Dont answer that.)

In 2019, Kim Kardashian announced in a Vogue cover story that she was attending her own makeshift law school and studying to take the California bar exam at some point. At that time, she thought she would be able to take the bar exam in 2022. It? did not work out that way. It took her four tries to pass the ?baby bar? exam, which is administered after most law students? first year. That was in 2021. I wondered back then if Kim would eventually admit that she sort of gave up on her dream of becoming a lawyer. But she?s still at it, six years later. She just took another major exam:
Kim Kardashian is continuing her journey to becoming a lawyer. On Thursday, March 27, the SKIMS founder took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) in Los Angeles, PEOPLE can confirm.
According to the National Conference of Bar Examiners, the assessment is typically completed before the bar and a passing score is mandatory in order to practice law in California.
This is just one more step Kim has taken toward becoming an attorney since she revealed she was following in her late father Robert Kardashian Sr.?s footsteps in 2019. Although she has yet to take the bar, she has since spent the past few years working in criminal justice reform and helping several people commute their prison sentences.
In 2021, she took the ?baby bar,? also known as the First-Year Law Students Examination, and opened up about the difficult experience after passing on her fourth try.
OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!! Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection, she wrote on X at the time. For anyone who doesnt know my law school journey, know this wasnt easy or handed to me.
I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!! (I did have COVID on the 3rd try w a 104 fever but Im not making excuses) she continued in a lengthy thread. ?I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route but it was my only option and it feels so so sooooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals.?
[From People]
Lawyers and law students help me out they?re saying that the MPRE comes before the bar exam, but what kind of timing is between the two? Does this mean Kim?s hokey ?law studies? are over and now she has to pass the MPRE, and once she does that, she?s ready for the bar exam right away? Or is it like? she has one more year to go, something like that? I looked it up? the MPRE is considered easier than the bar exam. Hm. I wonder if Kim will talk about it if she flunks it, and I wonder if she?ll announce it when she?s ready to take the bar. Even though I?ve sort of rolled my eyes at how often Kim seems like she?s half-assing her law studies, I do have to give her some begrudging credit I truly expected her to give up years ago, and it?s sort of cool that she?s still trying to follow through on this, six years later.

Sydney Sweeney is currently living out her own romantic-comedy plotline. Sydney had been engaged for years to Jonathan Davino. Their age-gap relationship was painful for Sydney?s fans and they?ve always wanted her to dump him. Well, in the past week, there have been so many rumors that Sydney is over Davino, that she?s living in a hotel and that she called off their planned summer wedding because Davino was stressing her out. Then this past weekend, she was in Texas? attending the wedding of Glen Powell?s sister. Glen and Sydney starred in Anyone But You and they became quite close back in 2023. Rumors were flying around back then and both Sydney and Glen used those rumors to sell the movie. Now it?s looking like Sydney showed up to Glen?s sister?s wedding single as hell and ready to mingle, Texas-style?
Sydney Sweeney and fianc Jonathan Davinos breakup was a long time coming. Whether the two were still engaged came into question in recent weeks amid reports Sweeney was living separately from Davino, a businessman who has been linked to the actress since 2018. An insider then shared that their relationship has been rocky for a long time.
A source now tells PEOPLE on Monday, March 31 that Sweeney, 27, has been focusing on work amid the end of her engagement.
Shes exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. Shes all about working right now and very excited about all her projects, the source says of Sweeney.
Not only does the Emmy-nominated star have a new season of Euphoria in the works, but shell lead a movie adaptation of The Housemaid bestseller plus portray real-life boxer Christy Martin and screen star Kim Novak in upcoming projects.
The source says, What did make her overwhelmed though was her relationship and her wedding. She didnt feel right about it. Sweeney is in the middle of this magical career that she could only dream of a few years ago, therefore, This is what she wants to focus on right now.
Shes not ready to settle down, the source says. They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didnt split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.
Reps for Sweeney and Davino did not respond to PEOPLEs requests for comment.
[From People]
?They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off.? Ouch!! I think it?s true though Davino grabbed her when she was truly up-and-coming and before she really became a household name. This was probably her first real-deal adult relationship and you know how difficult it can be to break off those kinds of situations, especially because they were together for so many years and complacency sets in, etc. Anyway, I hope Glen paid a lot of attention to her at his sister?s wedding!

| | Nicole Kidman's greatest gift to a friend ' 'a bunch of my own wild roses' | | Added 220 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
It is such a joy to see Nicole Kidman at this moment in her career. She makes gutsy choices in projects, and she?s on a mission to champion emerging filmmakers, especially women. Having been a fan since way back, it?s particularly gratifying to see Nicole completely out of the shadow ? and power vacuum ? of Tom Cruise. Even when she won her Oscar in 2003, and she was working as much as she is now, you could tell that she was still sad. But now she just seems like she?s having a ball, she?s worked with almost everyone in Hollywood, and she?s happy to accept her flowers. She?s also happy to give her flowers, as she just told People Mag. Nicole was doing promotion alongside costars Matthew Macfadyen and Gael Garca Bernal for their new thriller, Holland, when a discussion of tulips in the film led Nicole to share that she grows her own wild roses. And if you?re an extremely super special friend, the best gift she can bestow is a bunch fresh from her garden.
Nicole Kidman has a thoughtful gift reserved only for the ?super special? people in her life.
The Oscar winner is surrounded by tulips as the star of the new thriller Holland, about a meticulous homemaker whose perfect life is upended when she suspects her husband is up to no good.
Kidman, 57, tells PEOPLE in an interview alongside her costars Matthew Macfadyen and Gael Garca Bernal. ?I love giving flowers, but I like growing them in the garden. I grow roses. My greatest gift to someone can be a bunch of my own wild roses.?
?So if you get that, it means you?re super special. There?s only a few of them though,? she adds, as Succession alum Macfadyen, 50, calls the gesture ?lovely.?
Her favorite flowers at the moment are tulips and daffodils, she says, and she?s also fond of fragrant varieties, like night-blooming jasmine, honeysuckle, gardenias, hyacinths and lilacs. The list goes on. ?I?d like to have a flower shop,? she says with a smile.
The trio?s twisty new thriller goes to some dark places, though they agree things stayed light on set.
?I think the darker the subject matter is, sometimes the more fun on set it is,? explains Macfadyen. ?Naturally, actors sort of play against how grim, or otherwise, the material is. Sometimes when you?re doing comedy, it?s quite serious. Everyone?s like, ?Is this funny???
?Yeah, that?s true,? agrees Kidman, who adds, ?But this is such an interesting tone, because it?s got that really dark humor, but it?s very? how it presents, it?s like a package with a big bow and then you unwrap it and you?re like, ?Oh!??
[From People]
I agree that giving flowers is one of the greatest gifts you can confer. In fact, when I was a little tyke at JCC, after learning about the 10 Commandments we were all asked to come up with a commandment of our own, and mine was: ?You should give people flowers.? My efforts are slightly less thoughtful than Nicole?s, though, since I don?t grow my own (I consistently kill plants and flowers, sigh). And speaking of, I can?t believe Nicole has the time to tend to her own garden! Is this in Tennessee? Are roses that hearty that they can survive global indie film schedules? And yet I still can?t keep a bloom alive in the apartment I?m in everyday? Also, who do we think has gotten one of these super special bunches? The only name I feel completely confident about is Naomi Watts.
As for Holland, it?s out now on Amazon Prime, and it?s at the top of my list for what to watch next. Every shot of Nicole in one of those Dutch Bonnets absolutely slays me. Plus she?s got that slightly psycho look in her eyes that?s giving me To Die For vibes ? I still think that movie is one of her best performances, ever. Only where Suzanne Stone was a cool character, Holland?s Nancy Vandergroot seems ready to burst in spectacularly unhinged fashion. I also feel, based on nothing more than the trailer, that a clog shoe may end up being a murder weapon.

| | Busy Philipps on Michelle Williams: 'When you have a friend like that, you?re blessed' | | Added 220 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps are an odd couple, yes? I don?t know them personally, obviously, but Michelle comes across as the quiet introvert who reads poetry, whereas Busy is the loud extrovert who reads People. Both are valid! You just kind of wonder what sparked the connection. Oh wait, I think I can start to answer my own question: they both share a tough, hustler core, from starting their respective showbiz careers as teenagers. Michelle often gets painted with a delicate persona, but she did legally emancipate herself at 15 in order to get more acting work. That takes some grit! Anyway, Busy is out promoting a new collaboration ? with California Pizza Kitchen, where she worked as a teen before being cast in Freaks and Geeks ? and she took a moment to wax poetic on the blessing of having a friend who?s been through thick and thin with her for 25 years:
?We just know each other and get each other in such a deep, fundamental way at this point,? the ?Girls5eva? star tells Page Six exclusively in a new interview.
Philipps notes that the pair have grown up together and ?been there through so many different moments in each other?s lives,? from the ?really wonderful ones? to those they thought they ?might never, ever recover from.?
She adds, ?When you have a friend like that, you?re blessed. Thats all you can really ever hope for in this life.?
Philipps, 45, and Williams, 44, met as co-stars on the sudsy ?90s and ?00s teen drama ?Dawson?s Creek? and have been BFFs ever since.
In fact, the ?Cougar Town? star is often the Oscar nominee?s plus-one at industry events.
?It makes it fun,? Williams told us at the 2022 Gotham awards.
?These things can be a little ? I don?t know if you ever really get used to being on a red carpet. It?s a little overwhelming, but then all of a sudden, I look over and see this gal, and I know whatever happens, we?re going to have a great time and laugh.?
Long before the duo were regular fixtures at Hollywood events, though, Philipps worked as a hostess at California Pizza Kitchen from the age of 15 until she landed her starring role in ?Freaks and Geeks.?
The former ?Busy Tonight? host swears she never grew tired of scarfing down the chain?s food ? not even while flying to the ?Dawson?s Creek? set in North Carolina.
?There was a CPK in the airport in Charlotte, and I would get my BBQ chicken pizza and eat it there on my layover,? she tells Page Six. ?And then I would get two of the Thai crunch salads and take them to Wilmington, and me and Michelle would eat it for lunch the next day.?
And so, Philipps freaked out when she got a call about teaming up with CPK again in honor of its 40th anniversary this year.
?The ad agency couldn?t believe that I knew the names of the CPK founders off the top of my head,? she shares with a laugh. ?I was like, ?Guys, I worked here for years!??

I gotta say, I was sorry E! gave up on Busy Tonight so fast. I think Busy is so well-suited to being an entertainment talk show host; she?s worked in the industry, knows how to laugh at herself and make others in the conversation comfortable, and she?s not afraid to dig into big topics. Also? Still knowing the founders names for CPK (or as we call the chain in my family, CaPiKi) 30 years later is crazy! As for her friendship with Michelle, they really have been through everything together. Marriages, babies, divorces, deaths, and attending Academy Awards. (Though Busy did get booted for Michelle?s recent nomination in 2023, when Michelle went with her husband instead.) For her part, Michelle should have ample opportunity to return the friend love to Busy, as she?s ramping up promotion for her new FX series, Dying For Sex, that comes out on Friday. I?m coming up on 20 years of friendship with my bestie, and yeah, there is no intimacy quite like it. Of course we?ve had plenty of fights, along with a few bouts of not speaking, but he?s still the first person I want to do things with, and he makes me laugh harder than anyone else. I?ve come to believe that finding your match in humor is really important.
