As I said on Oscar night, I didn?t want Demi Moore to win the Best Actress Oscar, but I was still sad that she lost. She had a great ?comeback? story, a great ?it?s her time, after decades in the industry? story. I give her a lot of credit for changing into this Gucci dress and still going out to party post-Oscars. Demi is old-school never let the fkers see you down. Never give them the satisfaction. That being said, Demi had a great awards-season run, picking up a Golden Globe, SAG Award and Critics Choice. She?s fine, according to me. According to Page Six, Demi is heartbroken though. A source told the outlet that Demi ?can?t help but feel heartbroken? and ?Demi is taking this loss very hard because she felt like this was finally her chance to take home an Academy Award? [but she] is thrilled for Mikey and all the other women who were nominated for this award. But of course, it was a huge disappointment not hearing her name be called.? I hope she?s not this upset, and as I said, she still went out and partied and enjoyed herself.
More photos from the VF Oscar party Mikey Madison wore a simple black gown to the VF party I?m so happy for her win, but I desperately need her to give up the satin and taffeta, OMFG.

| Selena Gomez wore a stunning Ralph Lauren gown to the Oscars: best of the night? | Added 199 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Selena Gomez was definitely one of the best-dressed women of the Oscars. I know I?ve been saying that about a lot of women, but I really do believe it it was a surprisingly good night for fashion, albeit a bit boring and same-y overall. There were no huge trainwreck-style moments, at least that I saw, although Miley Cyrus really did try, bless her heart. Anyway, Selena has a shockingly good awards-season run, and her Ralph Lauren dress at the Oscars capped it all off. As a fellow big-rig hauler, I?ve been fascinated to see how Selena dresses for her large bust. She?s giving us a masterclass in clever tailoring and what I assume is smart foundation garments, including a minimizer of some variety. Selena?s team apparently based this on a Sofia Loren look, which makes sense. Her necklace is Bulgari, and yes, her fiance Benny Blanco was there. I would pay $50 to hear what Taylor Swift thinks of Selena?s fiance.
As for Miley Cyrus? yeah, she tried it. She wore a McQueen look with dumb gloves (is she Madonna??). Minus the gloves, the dress is fine, almost boring. But Miley?s styling included bleached brows and her whole face looked ?off.?
Anok Yai wore Marni eh. She?s so beautiful, but this looked so cheap.
H.E.R. also wore Ralph Lauren, like Selena. Someone always tries to channel Ferrero Rocher, and this year it was H.E.R.

| Emma Stone wore Louis Vuitton to the 2025 Oscars: classic and forgettable | Added 199 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Two time Oscar winner Emma Stone presented Best Actress last night, which went to Mikey Madison in somewhat of an upset. Emma wore a very simply designed Louis Vuitton sheath gown. I wasnt too impressed with this on camera, but LV has a closeup on their Instagram and the sequin-look pieces are actually button-like and have tiny lines on them. This is both dazzling and forgettable at the same time, like a solid formulaic action movie. I like it, but I wont remember it.
I can say the same for Ana De Armass silver and Louis Vuitton gown. It looked really pretty on camera though and I liked how it sparkled when she was presenting with Samuel L. Jackson.
Ooh Ana posed with Edgar Ramirez! They are hot together. They were rumored to have dated back in 2016 when they did a couple of movies together. I appreciate how Ana used to be everywhere when she was dating Ben Affleck and then she just retreated and focused on her work.
Director Ava DuVernay was also in LV, in a phenomenally sleek gown with very unique structurally draped shoulders. I like how bold this is.
Nickel Boys Ethan Herisse was in cool-looking LV suit with a tiny pattern of sequins. Nickel Boys did not get enough love last night. It only nominated for Best Picture and Best Screenplay, which Anora swept. (I dont have an ID yet on Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor or Brandon Wilsons looks.) I love seeing Oscar nominee Aunjanue on screen and shes sure to win an Academy Award in the next few years. She steals every scene shes in.

| Ariana Grande wore two Schiaparelli gowns for the Oscars: which was better? | Added 199 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo surprisingly opened up the Oscars, singing a medley of ?Somewhere Over the Rainbow,? ?Home? and ?Defying Gravity.? They both sang their asses off, but I did feel like it was a quick admission that Wicked was not going to win many Oscars the film ended up winning for Costume Design and Production Design and nothing else. The one good thing that has come out of the years-long Wicked promotion is that Ariana and Cynthia are absolutely besties. You can?t fake that closeness for this long they love each other dearly, and the shot of Ariana watching Cynthia sing is iconic.
Fashion-wise? well? much to say. Ari and Cynthia?s red carpet looks were not my taste. Ari wore Schiaparelli, a structural lampshade in a pale cream/pink, basically. Cynthia wore Louis Vuitton, a custom look in a rich, dark green velvet. I much preferred their performance ensembles Cynthia wore a gorgeous Vivienne Westwood gown, and Ari wore a custom Schiaparelli in ruby-red, with a ?ruby slipper? worked into the design at the back. As if Ariana?s whole dress was the ruby slipper. This was the first time Ariana has worn red or burgundy for anything involving Wicked, correct? Her awards season has been dominated by pinks and creams. The Westwood look was also a rare lighter ensemble for Cynthia.

| Elle Fanning wore Sarah Burton-for-Givenchy to her first Oscars: stunning? | Added 199 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Elle Fanning attended the Oscars for the first time! I didn?t even realize that Elle has never attended before, because she?s such a regular at other awards shows. Elle was part of the ensemble for A Complete Unknown, so she?s been hanging out with Timothee Chalamet and Monica Barbaro throughout the awards season. She decided to go all out for her Oscar debut she wore the first-ever red carpet debut of Sarah Burton?s new collection for Givenchy. It?s honestly a stunning gown and she looked like a princess. The molded bust reminds me of Burton?s work on the Princess of Wales?s wedding gown, actually. It would not surprise me at all if Elle?s look ended up on a lot of brides? inspo boards. Elle also wore Cartier jewelry (she was so excited that she got pieces out of the Cartier vault).
It would have been so special to see Isabella Rossellini win an Oscar. Alas, it was not to be, and I genuinely feel like Oscar voters made a terrible mistake by not voting for Isabella when they had the chance. Isabella honored people she loved and lost with her Oscar ensemble a blue velvet Dolce & Gabbana gown to honor the late David Lynch, and the same earrings her mother Ingrid Bergman wore when Bergman won her Oscar. Isabella also wore a Bulgari necklace.
Unfortunately, Isabella had bad mojo coming into the Oscars, because she was accompanied by my nemesis Laura Dern. Dern?s Gucci look was fine, but those bangs!! LMAO.

| Demi Moore wore an icy Armani to the Oscars & lost the Best Actress Oscar | Added 199 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

While I didn?t want Demi Moore to win the Oscar, I actually felt sorry for her when Mikey Madison?s name was called for Best Actress. To be fair, I think even Demi knew it was a toss-up in the past two months, Demi and Mikey have been splitting the awards down the middle, with Demi picking up the SAG Award, Golden Globe and Critics Choice, and Mikey winning the BAFTA, Spirit Award and a lot of critics? awards. Demi dressed like a winner though her Armani gown was beautiful and I honestly thought she was going to end up winning, based solely on style vibes. She dressed for success! I like that she went for a very traditional look too.
Felicity Jones also wore Armani she?s gone for very sleek, simple looks throughout the awards season, probably because she was never a favorite in Best Supporting Actress. Which is a shame I remember seeing a movie critic/awards-watcher say, back in December, that people should have put some money behind Felicity?s campaign, because she really did a good job in The Brutalist. It?s true. Still, she?s part of yet another Oscar-winning film and she starred opposite another Oscar-winning lead actor (she did the same in The Theory of Everything).
Raffey Cassidy is the British actress who played Zsfia in The Brutalist. A difficult role, and she hasn?t gotten enough attention for what she did in that film. She ended up getting a lot of attention at the Oscars, just because she was the only woman (I saw) wearing Loewe. And it was a really good Loewe too!

| Halle Berry in a mirrored Siriano at the Oscars: incredible workmanship and design | Added 199 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Presenter Halle Berry was such a standout on the red carpet in this intricately designed and fabulously executed Christian Siriano gown featuring thousands of mirrored pieces. I love the sequin mesh sides and the little train. I was just blown away by this gown. Christian Siriano was part of the E! fashion panel and he said it was a career goal to dress Halle for the Oscars. You could tell how proud he was of this look and he should be, it was phenomenal. The only thing Ill say against it is that it flashed on camera and reflected the light in a way I found distracting when she was on stage. I dont know how they could have avoided that. I would watch a two hour documentary on this dress. Her styling is also perfection.
I would have loved to have seen Van Hunt on the red carpet with her but he doesnt need to go to everything and I imagine that these ceremonies can be a drag for plus ones. Sometimes I think about Don Cheadle saying that he feels restrained at the Oscars because he cant talk smack about people when the cameras catch every moment. Thats so relatable to me apart from getting to go to the Oscars.
Presenter and EGOT Whoopi Goldberg wore a custom Siriano liquid water off the runway gown. I like how bold this is, the color and reflective properties of the fabric are such and standout. As a Gen X woman I love seeing Whoopi. She was a staple of my teen years. Whoopi brought her daughter, Alex Martin, as her date.
Performer Queen Latifah was also in Siriano, in a lovely crimson gown with puffy shoulders. Queen Latifah did the Quincy Jones tribute last night and I like that they opened with Ease on Down The Road from The Wiz! That was the first movie I remember seeing in a theater. I was five and I had skipped school that day, but my mom still let me go to the movies.
Speaking of the performances, we had a whole ass tribute to James Bond for some reason. Im thinking Amazon paid for that. My favorite performance was Raye doing Skyfall at the end. She was adorable in her red carpet interview and I will be watching her career. Raye wore Vivienne Westwood and she looked like a bombshell.
Doja Cat was very on brand in leopard print retro Balmain. This was kind of cool looking and weve seen so much worse from her. I kind of loved her performance outfit with the dripping sequins even though it was quite on the nose for Diamonds are Forever.

| Millie Bobby Brown wants people to stop talking about how 'old' she looks as a blonde | Added 201 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

At the SAG Awards last weekend, Millie Bobby Brown walked her first red carpet as a platinum blonde. I mean, I guess that?s what we?re calling this shade of blonde. No one knows for sure why Millie has changed up her look so dramatically? It could be that she?s just young and experimenting with her appearance. It?s possible that she married a hottie from New Jersey and decided to go full Jersey Girl. MBB?s fans have another theory, that she?s preparing to play Britney Spears in a film adaptation of Britney?s ghost-written memoir, The Woman In Me. I don?t have an answer for this, other than it definitely looks like it?s for a movie, but you never know with Millie. I think she?s still figuring out who she wants to be.
Meanwhile, these are some photos from the Madrid premiere of The Electric State, Anthony and Joe Russo?s latest film. Millie costars with Chris Pratt and a robot. Her husband Jake Bongiovi came to Madrid to support her and they?re a sweet couple. But yeah, that blonde shade does not look any better in these photos. If anything, it looks worse and like she just got her roots done. Millie has access to the best colorists, so who is responsible for THIS?
Meanwhile, people are taking the criticism way too far and Millie has seen some of it. People are saying she looks like a 40-something mob wife (it?s not a lie, but it?s still mean). British Vogue published a piece called ?No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks.? Millie reposted the headline and wrote ?thank you.? Girl, if you?re reading this, get a new colorist.

| Oscar voter: Demi Moore should win because she 'has been around for a long time' | Added 205 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

There?s always an ebb and flow from year to year as to how much people are really paying attention to the awards season. Last year saw a lot of interest and engagement with what was happening because of Oppenheimer and Barbie, and then the prominent (and nonsensical) Oscar snubs for Barbie. Plus, those were the two biggest movies in 2023, so people once again cared about awards when they had actually seen the movies. This year is different a bunch of smaller movies have gotten awards hype, a bunch of downer movies are getting awards, and the California wildfires have changed the award-show timelines. All of which means that it?s a really wacky year and people aren?t paying attention because there?s no consensus film which everyone has seen. Still, I?m enjoying the wackiness, even if I?m afraid that a bunch of terrible films are about to win Oscars. Speaking of, here?s the Hollywood Reporter?s first ?Brutally Honest Oscar Ballot? of the season. This Oscar voter is a man in the short-films branch of AMPAS. Some highlights:
Emilia Perez wasn?t in his top ten: ?I liked Emilia Prez when I watched it but, even before all the sh-t that happened [involving lead actress Karla Sofa Gascn], it wasn?t in my top 10. I?d have preferred to see its spot go to Sing Sing, which was underappreciated; or Juror #2, which I really liked; or The Wild Robot or No Other Land, but you know how most of the Academy treats animated and documentary films ? no respect. I do like musicals, and Wicked was tight.
He loves Anora, The Substance & A Complete Unknown: ?I really liked the performances in A Complete Unknown ? the fact that Timmy [Chalamet] and Monica [Barbaro] were both really singing and playing the guitar was incredible. Anora was great ? the story and the performances were really fun, Sean [Baker] directed the sh-t out of it ? but the others did more for me. The Substance was what I love about cinema at its best. It?s so bold ? the story, the sound design, the makeup. They gave the audience an experience. And it?s so rare for the Academy to recognize a horror film, but the fact that this one is kind of about what it?s like to be a woman in Hollywood probably helped more people to connect with it.?
Thoughts on The Brutalist & Conclave: ?Going in to The Brutalist, I?d never heard of Brady Corbet and was dreading the [three-and-a-half-hour] runtime, but the way people who had seen it at the festivals were talking about it convinced me to go to a screening really early in the season, and by the end I really appreciated why he did it the way he did it. It?s just an incredible film ? beautifully shot, amazing performances, and such a powerful story. But Conclave was so interesting and exciting in a completely different way ? and fun, with a little mystery involved. I thought the ending was great ? it wasn?t trying to make a point, it was just a perfect reveal. Edward Berger is an incredible director. His votes for Best Picture: (1) Conclave, (2) The Brutalist, (3) Nickel Boys, (4) Dune: Part Two, (5) The Substance, (6) Anora, (7) A Complete Unknown, (8) I?m Still Here, (9) Wicked, (10) Emilia Prez
His thoughts on Best Director: ?I judge this category like one judges an Olympic sport: the degree of difficulty, plus the execution ? did you stick the landing? I think this category needs to be expanded to at least eight. Edward Berger, RaMell Ross and Denis Villeneuve should?ve been nominated. How many other directors could?ve done what they did? And why is [A Complete Unknown?s] James Mangold in here but they aren?t? He?s a really good director ? he told the story well ? but there was nothing special about the way he directed that film. You want to tell me that directing Timmy Chalamet in New York was harder than directing an epic in the desert? Come on. I was torn between Brady and [The Substance?s] Coralie Fargeat, and I ended up going with Coralie. If she wasn?t there, I?d have picked Brady, because the fact that he made his movie look that good with only $10 million is unbelievable. But I just thought about historical absence [only three women have ever won this category?s Oscar] and high degree of execution ? she nailed it with that film.
Best Actor: ?I had a hard time with this one. Timmy was probably the easiest one for me to let go. Ralph [Fiennes of Conclave], [The Brutalist?s Adrien] Brody and Colman?s [Domingo of Sing Sing] performances were just so good. I got to hear a lot from the Sing Sing guys, and really liked them, and I think that what Colman did for that movie, on and off screen, was just remarkable. VOTE: Colman Domingo, Sing Sing
Best actress: ?I was very strongly considering voting for Karla, but when her tweets started coming out I was flabbergasted ? I was like, ?I can?t believe this person said these things.? And it kept getting worse every day. It quickly became obvious, ?I?m not voting for this person. No way.? After that, it was between Mikey [Madison of Anora] and Demi [Moore of The Substance]. Both of them are at the heart of their films, and I loved both of their films. I?m not opposed to voting for new, younger people, when they are amazing. But Demi has been around for a long time, and she absolutely crushed it. VOTE: Demi Moore, The Substance
Best supporting actor: I thought it was insane that the one guy from Anora [Yura Borisov] got nominated over the other two [Mark Eydelshteyn and Karren Karagulian]. I seriously considered [The Apprentice?s] Jeremy Strong and [The Brutalist?s] Guy Pearce, but at the end of the day I just loved Kieran [Culkin] in A Real Pain.
Best supporting actress: I was never as high on Zoe [Saldaa of Emilia Prez] as everyone else was. I definitely considered [Conclave?s Isabella] Rossellini. But I was just so impressed with Monica in A Complete Unknown. The only other thing I?d ever seen her in was Top Gun [Maverick], and this was like another person. VOTE: Monica Barbaro, A Complete Unknown
[From THR]
It?s interesting that he chose Colman Domingo. I love Colman and Colman is a wonderful actor who deserves the world? but Sing Sing felt like a poorly-made student film and Colman couldn?t save it. Still, it?s nice to know that Brody isn?t a sure thing in that category! I also enjoy this guy?s vote for Barbaro, who is absolutely wonderful in A Complete Unknown, but she hasn?t won anything this season. As for Demi and The Substance? I hated the film, as I?ve said before, and I do not understand why Hollywood is so enamored with it. Is it *just* because of the very obvious and superficial send-up of ageing in LA? But I do think a lot of people are just going to vote for Demi because she?s been around forever and she?ll probably never get another shot at this. There is that sense that Mikey Madison will get another ?chance? at all of this. Still, I don?t get the vote for Coralie Fargeat. He really thought The Substance was the best-directed film of the year??
