Sydney Sweeney covers the latest issue of Women?s Health, all to promote Anyone But You, the romantic-comedy she did with Glen Powell. The interview has a weird feel to it, probably because Sydney couldn?t talk about the movie during the strike, but the second the strike ended, she called up the magazine and had them add some quotes. At this point, I don?t know what to think about the romance rumors between Glen and Sydney, but I do think this young woman would do almost anything to promote her work. She?s a hustler, and I?m saying that in a complimentary way. Her parents gave up a lot to help her break through and now that she?s arrived, she?s not wasting any opportunity. Some highlights from Women?s Health:
She loves to water ski: ?It?s a lot of upper body strength, it?s balance, it?s core, it?s legs?you get tired really fast. I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun.?
She loves new challenges: ?Whenever a new challenge presents itself and I?m not scared to push myself to try, that?s when I?m really proud of who I am? I know that my body can keep going?it?s more just that mental challenge to push myself through. I take that skill into skiing, into acting, into anything I do, because it?s always more mental than physical. Of course you have to train, but it?s mind over matter at the end of the day.?
She deals with social anxiety. ?Whenever it feels like the world?s so loud, and there?s so much going on, and I?m trying to balance it all?sometimes, it can feel overwhelming.?
Her parents? sacrifice: ?I watched my parents lose a lot. We filed for bankruptcy, and they lost their house back home on the lake. [Sydney has since bought back her great-grandparents? home on the same lake so she can return.] We couldn?t afford life in L.A. We couldn?t afford life anywhere,? she recalls. To help pay the bills, Sydney babysat, cleaned restaurant bathrooms, and led tours at Universal Studios. ?It was hard because they were supporting my dream, and I couldn?t imagine doing anything else. I didn?t want to fail them. No matter how long it took, I was going to be in a TV show or a movie, and I wasn?t going to stop until something happened.?
Working with Glen Powell: ?Getting to work with Glen, I?ll never forget this one? I hope the audience can actually feel the love and fun we all shared making this film. That?s something I always feel from my favorite rom-coms?the joy and energy shared amongst the cast and crew, and I was lucky enough to experience that on this film.?
Kindness: ?I truly believe that kindness is the most important attribute anybody can have, because whoever you see on your way up, you?re going to see on your way down,? she says. ?I try to be as loyal to my people as I can, and I hope they return the favor. I also love watching everyone succeed together.?

I sometimes wonder if something has to give with Sweeney she loves to work, she?s a workaholic, she would happily book back-to-back jobs for the next ten years. And then the other side of her is happy in Idaho with her family, and wanting to get married and be a young mom. It?s possible she can do all of that have it all, but I do wonder if there will be a fork in the road and she?ll end up choosing the Hollywood life and the big career for the next ten years.

Hilary Duff has had a busy few weeks. She helped Target promote a giveaway, announced that she was pregnant with her 4th child, and took a family trip to Disneyland. Unfortunately for Hilary, her next adventure is? Covid! The day after posting pictures of her family at Disneyland, Duff shared that she and husband Matthew Koma were down for the count with the ole rona. Thankfully, none of her kids have tested positive, although that has made taking care of a five and two-year-old a bit challenging for the couple.
Hilary Duff recently got a positive pregnancy test ? and now she has a positive COVID test to go with it.
?We have Covid and our kids don?t so now we wear masks again ,? Duff, 36, wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, December 14, alongside a video of herself and husband Matthew Koma chilling in bed with face masks on.
?Someone?s gonna be a DJ again,? Duff added, panning the camera to show Koma, also 36, playing a tune on a portable sampler.
?Why are you putting me on blast like that?? Koma shot back playfully. ?I?m just trying to have a little fun in my undies.?
The health update comes one day after Duff shared Instagram photos from a trip to Disneyland with Koma and their daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 2. (Duff also shares son Luca, 11, with ex-husband Mike Comrie.)

Oh man, that really stinks. In a set of Instagram stories on Sunday, Duff shared that her Covid was ?brutal? this time and that she was upset to be missing out on a holiday party because she was sick. I?m glad she and Matthew are taking it seriously enough to self-quarantine and wear a mask if they have to be around their kids. I hope they?re both feeling better soon and that Banks and Mae (it doesn?t look like Luca was at Disney with them) don?t end up getting sick too.
There are so many different things going around right now, too: Covid, the flu, RSV, and other respiratory viruses. (Heres a list of things you should do if you are exposed to Covid.) My son said six kids went home sick from his 4th grade class in one day last week. Being sick is no fun, especially this time of year, where there?s so many fun holiday-

While I know a lot of people had strong feelings about Kylie Kendall Jenner and Bad Bunny, I mostly ignored them because I found the whole situation so odd. I believe they were a real couple, but I also believe that they were never super-serious or in it for the long haul. I was right Kendall and Benito have split after about ten months together:
Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner have called it quits. A source tells PEOPLE that the Puerto Rican superstar, 29, and the model, 28, are no longer a couple.
The pair were last spotted together at the Saturday Night Live afterparty in October, when Bad Bunny took on double duty as host and musical guest on the show.
Representatives for both Bad Bunny and Jenner did not respond to PEOPLEs requests for comment.
The recording artist (whose real name is Benito Martnez Ocasio) and Jenner first sparked romance rumors in February, when they were spotted joining Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber on a double date.

The source says that there isn?t any negativity between them and they still want the best for one another.

Emma Stone has been a Louis Vuitton brand ambassador for years and the collaboration sucks. I say that with love in the past few years, we?ve seen LV make custom looks for other brand ambassadors, and certain people (Ana De Armas, Zendaya) find a way to make it work. Some people don?t find a way to make it work and Emma is one of them. It?s like Margot Robbie and Chanel it was always the wrong fit of actress and brand. Now, I understand why Emma initially signed on to LV she probably thought she would get offbeat, cool clothes. Instead, it?s like they give her the fuggest stuff from every collection.
Anyway, here are some photos from the Poor Things premiere in London last night. Look what Louis Vuitton gave Emma a slip dress with chest netting and what appears to be one of the worst-cut skirts ever. They topped it off with what appears to be a taffeta (?) robe. This is what passes for ?high end.? As much as I hate this ensemble, the worst part of the look is Emma?s makeup her makeup artist gave her Angry Baby Brows.

Angelina Jolie covers the latest issue of WSJ. Magazine. It?s a surprising piece, written by Elisa Lipsky-Karasz, which largely ignores the tabloid version of Jolie and barely touches the divorce from Brad Pitt. Jolie spent years healing with her children after the Pitt marriage went t-ts up in 2016, but slowly and steadily, she?s been rebuilding her life. She?s back to taking acting roles with some regularity. She?s directed another movie (Without Blood), and she?s filming the Maria Callas bio-pic. She also confirms, in this piece, that she?s signed on to a third Maleficent movie (no additional details). While she?s still being sued by and countersuing Brad Pitt over the sale of her half of Miraval, she?s already using the money from the sale to start Atelier Jolie. Which seems to be the main point of this WSJ. piece Jolie is hyping, in her hilariously awkward way, her new thing, this fashion collective she?s dreamt up. You can read the full piece here. Her closest friends are refugees: ?There?s a reason people who have been through hardship are also much more honest and much more connected, and I am more relaxed with them. Why do I like spending time with people who?ve survived and are refugees? They?ve confronted so much in life that it brings forward not just strength, but humanity. I realized my closest friends are refugees. Maybe four out of six of the women that I am close to are from war and conflict.?
No social life: Meanwhile, in L.A., ?I don?t really have?a social life,? says Jolie. She says she isn?t currently dating.
Her children are the people closest to her: ?They are the closest people to me and my life, and they?re my close friends. We?re seven very different people, which is our strength.?
The public gave her a career: ?They?ve also chosen how they want you. Since I was young, people liked the part of me that?s pretty tough and maybe a bit wild?that?s the part that I think people enjoy. I?m not the one [who] you want to hear about my pain or my sadness. Jolie plans to eventually leave L.A. ?It?s part of what happened after my divorce. I lost the ability to live and travel as freely. So you seek authenticity.?
On Atelier Jolie: She also seems to have an almost compulsive need to work. ?I can?t stop. I always think there?s like a fight coming.? Jolie says people around her laughed when she told them about her new venture: ?You, in fashion? No.? ?I?ve never been to a fashion show or Met Ball my entire life.?
She has so many ideas for Atelier Jolie, but she knows it will run at a loss: ?I?ll probably lose money, maybe even for a while,? says Jolie. The 6,600-square-foot space was advertised at $60,000 per month for a minimum 10-year lease; a representative for the brand declined to share the terms of the lease but said Jolie is paying less and isn?t committed to 10 years. ?If I can eventually put into practice some things that I think are improvements and I just break even, that?s a huge victory.?
She consulted human rights lawyers before consulting designers: ?What would be an ethical business? We are trying to reverse-engineer it a little bit. I don?t know the answers. Can we avoid doing real damage?not only to the earth, but the garment workers? ? Is it possible that I could go somewhere and enjoy making clothes, enjoy wearing clothes and not hurt anybody? And actually maybe treat people well??
Her style: ?My daughter jokes that I wear too many trench coats. It?s just like a hiding thing.?
She?s comfortable with her body now: ?It?s like I see my scars and my things, and I feel like I?ve lived. And I?m having these big experiences, and I have this map of this complex body that?s changed over time. You and I both know that a woman with a full life is very sexy.?

I want her to get back with Jonny Lee Miller so badly, my god. I feel like they would be so good together now, at this age. I know that?s far from the point of this interview, but I honestly feel like she needs to let one good man in for a weekend and build from there. As for Atelier Jolie, WSJ. Mag lists all of the smaller projects she?s building within the Basquiat studio, not just full fashion design, but a cafe and sewing lessons and classes that people can take. It sounds really cool, like a modern fashion-based commune. She?s also already on her way out of LA she?s reportedly apartment-hunting in New York as we speak, and now that the kids are older, I would imagine she?ll be traveling a lot more.

Obviously the current dominating story with Taylor Swift is her budding romance with Travis Kelce. But that?s no excuse to let up the attention on how she?s a certified billionaire, is breaking all kinds of box office and concert ticket records, and has earned a Golden Globe nomination in a brand new category for her self-distributed Eras Tour concert film. As a birthday gift to Taylor, Guinness World Records announced that Eras Tour had become the highest-grossing music tour of all time. It feels incorrect to call this news, since we know she owns us all at this point. So let?s call it confirmation of an inherent truth. E! News rounded up some more facts and figures about this milestone:
Taylor Swift?s uber-popular Eras Tour has officially broken the record for the highest-grossing music tour of all time, Guinness World Records announced Dec. 12.
The Grammy winner?s concert series has reportedly become the first to make more than $1 billion in revenue ? specifically, it has earned $1.04 billion in just nine months after opening in March 2023, Guinness notes, citing Pollstar. (Bloomberg also crowned Swift personally a billionaire in October.)
Before Swift?s achievement at age 33, Elton John, 76, held the record for highest-grossing tour thanks to his farewell concert series, which ended in Sweden in July 2023 after five years, reportedly making $939 million.
So, while there?s only so far new money goes, it?s clear Swift is going the distance. And she has more shows left, returning to the stage in Tokyo in February 2024, before heading to Australia, Singapore and then Europe.
For fans not able to make the trek (or score a stub on Ticketmaster), Swift also brought the experience to the big screen in October with the release of her Eras Tour movie. The concert film has brought in nearly $250 million worldwide in two months and will be available to rent on Prime Video Dec. 13.

But it?s not like Taylor doesn?t work hard for her money. Later on the article quoted some parts of Taylor?s TIME Person of the Year interview where she talked about her training for the tour:
?I knew this tour was harder than anything I?d ever done before by a long shot,? she told TIME magazine in an interview published Dec. 6. ?Every day I would run on the treadmill, singing the entire set list out loud. Fast for fast songs, and a jog or a fast walk for slow songs.?
The ?Anti-Hero? singer then had three months of dance training, ?because I wanted to get it in my bones,? she added. ?I wanted to be so over-rehearsed that I could be silly with the fans, and not lose my train of thought.?

I love when artists talk shop about preparation and processes. And I especially love it when the method turns out to be ?practice, practice, practice!? There?s often a magical notion out there that someone successful simply has something ineffable that makes them destined for achievement. Sure, people can have an ?it? factor. But success comes down to doing the work, even when it?s repetitive or unglamorous. Even when it?s spending three hours everyday running on the treadmill while singing. And since I haven?t been on a treadmill in REDACTED years, that is the (one and only) reason why I am not as successful as Taylor Swift.

Sophie Turner has apparently been dating Peregrine Pearson since October, at least that?s when they were first photographed together in Paris. Some thought it could be a simple hookup/rebound, but it looks like Sophie is really dating this guy. He?s a British aristocrat, heir to the Viscount Cowdray and considered one of the most eligible bachelors in the UK. They?re now pap-strolling and being open about their relationship. Now Sophie and Peregrine?s new love is being covered by the Mail?s Eden Confidential column:
She made her name as noblewoman Sansa Stark in drama Game Of Thrones, so perhaps its not surprising Sophie Turner is adjusting to life among the aristocracy.
Having split up with American pop star Joe Jonas, with whom she has two children, earlier this year, the actress is now going out with Peregrine Pearson, Viscount Cowdrays son and heir. And Turner, 27, joined Perry, 29, and his upper-class chums for a shooting weekend at the Duke of Marlboroughs Blenheim Palace estate in Oxfordshire.
Wearing green wellies and clutching a champagne flute, she mixed with her boyfriends pals including the Marquess of Blandford, George, who will inherit Blenheim. Others include Georges wife, Camilla, his cousin Alexander Spencer-Churchill and their friend Lady Jemima Herbert.

I keep thinking about how much sh-t Sophie talked about America and how much she hated the food, the schools, the humor, the entire city of LA, all of it. She was desperate to move back to the UK for years, and now that she has, she?s? hanging out with the aristocracy and all of her royalist buddies. As I said in a previous post, her American adventure was just a blip she?s back to her snooty British roots and she?s done with America.

Sometimes I still think about Heather Graham claiming that she stayed so youthful because she tries to sleep eleven to twelve hours every night. Recently, I?ve been obsessed with 20-year-old tennis player Holger Rune talking about how he tries to get nine to thirteen hours of sleep every night. These people are bonkers! My body physically would not ?let? me sleep that long every single night, plus I have no desire to spend half the day in bed, asleep. WTF? Well, I?m adding Dakota Johnson to the list of people who regularly sleep for a crazy amount of time.
Dakota Johnson loves her beauty sleep. The Fifty Shades of Grey alum told the Wall Street Journal that if she gets less than 10 hours of sleep a night she cant function properly. She added that she can easily sleep for 14 hours straight.
Sleep is my number one priority in life, the actress, 34, said.
Johnson also explained that she doesnt have a scheduled wake-up time every day. Instead, she plans her sleep routine on a day-by-day basis. If I?m not working, if I have a day off on a Monday, then I will sleep as long as I can, she said.
In addition to getting enough sleep, Johnson said she works out five days a week ? a mix of hot yoga, pilates and body weight training. She also meditates twice every day.
I do transcendental meditation, she continued. I?ve been really into breathwork recently and that?s been helping me a lot with anxiety.

Do these people really not wake up at 3 am and check the clock? Do they not wake up at 5 am and start thinking about all of the sh-t they have to do that day? That?s what I don?t understand if I?m tired, I?ll sleep hard but I?ll still wake up a couple of times and look at the clock and at some point (usually after seven or eight hours of sleep), my body just refuses to go back to sleep. There?s probably a caffeine issue too as in, these are people who are not hopelessly addicted to caffeine to the point that they?ll wake up just to get coffee. The last time I got more than eight hours of sleep a night was probably about a year ago, and I still remember it I got like ten hours of sleep and my whole day was thrown off.

Exactly four years ago Kaiser noted that Annette Bening was ?One of the most famously Oscar-snubbed actors out there.? Still true! The situation has not been rectified. Will this be her year? I don?t think so. Not because she isn?t superb as Diana Nyad in Nyad, now on Netflix. She?s physically incapable of delivering anything less than flawless performances of brilliantly flawed women. It just feels like she hasn?t been part of the Best Actress conversation much, at least not compared to the younger actresses in contention. Then again, all bets are off this year, what with the strikes delaying the usual promo campaigns, and no one knowing exactly who the voting body is at the Golden Globes since the Hollywood Foreign Press Association disbanded. Speaking of, Annette did nab a Golden Globe nomination for Nyad, and she has a new interview out in This Guardian this week. I?m excerpting one section here, but the whole piece is worth a read.
She [Bening] took the role of Nyad because it was ?such a great story?, but she hadn?t thought through what playing the swimmer would mean ? the ?oh, it?s me in the water; oh, I?m in a bathing suit; oh, I?ve got to really pull off the swimming?, she says. It took a year of training, with the Olympian Rada Owen. Bening reckons she is a better swimmer now than when she shot the film, because she has fallen in love with the sport. ?What I?ve come to understand about Diana, what I admire, is not only the fact that she swam 54 hours; it was that she found the ability to think enough of herself to say: ?I have the right to say I?m going to do this thing.? I think that is what a lot of us struggle with.?
Nyad has written a number of books about her career, which the film picks through judiciously. ?She had a coach who abused her when she was a kid,? says Bening. ?We didn?t want to make the movie about that, but it is part of who she is. And what happened to her as a teenager, with this coach, did inform her swimming and it did inform her 20s. Just like all of us, right? All these things that we?ve gone through, they inform us in the present.?
Bening is keen to underline that the film amps up a spikiness in Nyad?s character. Nyad is delightful, says Bening. In her on-screen portrayal, however, she is often a pain in everyone?s neck, especially Jodie Foster?s (Foster plays her ex-girlfriend and best friend). ?When women have complexity, when women are difficult, our metric for being able to accept them is so different,? she says. ?It?s like politicians: there?s always this sense that they have to be likable. There?s a quality that a woman has to have that?s non-threatening and pleasing. Either that, or they have to be very conservative. Like Thatcher. We can accept a woman if she?s very conservative, but the idea of a liberal woman is much scarier.?

?Spikiness? is a great way to describe Annette?s version of Diana Nyad, and she?s so good at playing that quality (remember her in 2009?s Mother and Child?). I mean really, the Diana of the film cannot stop talking about herself or her ?destiny.? She?s the kind of person that you know you would find insufferable in real life but delight in watching as a movie character. (Again, we?re talking about the heightened film depiction, not Diana Nyad in real life.) And that gets at exactly what Annette talks about with the expectations on women. In Nyad, Annette is a woman out to please herself first and foremost, and is unabashedly unlikable, at times even to her dearest friends and supporters. But she has an ambition ? to swim the open ocean from Cuba to Florida, 103 miles ? and as the movie unfolds we see how a woman fulfilling her goal can be threatening to those around her. Why? Because it forces anyone watching her to reckon with their own dreams, and whether they?ve honestly done everything they could to fully realize them.

Two weeks ago, Piers Morgan ?revealed? the names of the royal racists which were named in a ?mistranslation? of Omid Scobie?s Endgame (which were originally named by the Duchess of Sussex in a letter to King Charles). The names are: King Charles and the Princess of Wales. After a lot of performative pearl-clutching and ?demands? that Prince Harry and Meghan speak up in defense of the Windsors (lmao), nothing much happened. There was a crisis meeting between Charles, William and Kate, and they apparently decided to say nothing and just keep doing photo-ops with diversity props. It?s also clear that Kate was in a panic and she reached out to dumbasses like Camilla Tominey to defend her honor (Tominey made Kate sound even more unhinged though). So, what is Kate?s larger plan? Kate Middleton is yet to publicly comment on allegations in Omid Scobie?s new book that she was one of two royals who questioned Prince Archie?s skin colour. But according to one expert, that doesn?t mean she is going to take the absurd accusations lying down and will punish Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in her own classy way.
Brand expert Denise Palmer-Davies exclusively told Fabulous: ?The accusations made in the book are utterly absurd, but they will still ultimately have hurt Kate. She won?t let that show though she is a strong, powerful woman and she will keep calm and carry on. Responding to the claims only gives them attention, so Kate is carrying on with her life as normal. She is much like the Queen in that respect, stoic, she won?t show how upset she really is. She put on a brave face at the Royal Variety show and at her Together at Christmas carol concert.
?I don?t doubt that those close to Harry and Meghan would want all this to take off her shine but far from it. In fact, Kate remains popular, she has the public?s support and while she is on the front pages of all the newspapers, it is all positive press, like her Strictly visit. It?s like she is unintentionally punishing them in her own classy way.?
Kates name being dragged into the racism row will only further deepen the rift between her, Harry and Meghan.
