Millie Bobby Brown has been very visible lately, and it?s not just because of her new platinum blonde hair. Her movie with Chris Pratt, The Electric State, premiered on Netflix on March 14, which prompted the recent flurry of appearances, including covering the March issue of Vanity Fair. In that interview, Millie ? who married Jake Bongiovi last May when she was 20 and he was 22 ? talked about conversations she and Jake had when they got together. Things like making sure they were aligned on politics, values, and their career and family goals. It seems there?s one area, though, where they agreed to be opposites: money! On a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Millie shared how wildly different financial backgrounds have shaped their contrasting spending habits. While Jake grew up with Bon Jovi money, Millie?s family had very little before she landed Stranger Things. The experience left such an impact that to this day, Millie still shops for basics at Target and Amazon, and carefully considers large purchases.
Millie Bobby Brown still remembers what it was like to have financial insecurity.
The 21-year-old ?grew up with no money? before receiving the life-changing call that she had been cast on Netflix?s ?Stranger Things.? In an appearance on the ?Call Her Daddy? podcast, Brown said that her upbringing has had a profound effect on how she thinks about her finances.
?I have a money thing where I?m very conscious about money,? she said. ?When I do spend money on something, I have to call my parents, I have to think about it, I don?t just buy it right away.?
That?s not because money is in short supply. The ?Electric State? star was reportedly earning $10 million per film as early as 2019 and has a ?ridiculously lucrative? overall deal with Netflix, according to Puck.
But just because she has the money doesn?t mean she has champagne tastes. Compared to her husband Jake Bongiovi ? son of musician Jon Bon Jovi ? Brown said she is very thrifty.
?I?ll be like, ?Oh, I need socks,? and he?ll be like ?Let?s go to Prada,?? she said. ?And I?m like ?Let?s go to Target.??
?He loves to go shopping,? she continued. ?He will refuse to pack a suitcase because he likes to go shopping in the place we?re going. Whereas I like Amazon Basics. I love that.?
Indeed, when Brown wanted to make her first big purchase with her Netflix earnings, she said she needed her parents to encourage her to take the plunge and buy the Chanel sunglasses she had her eye on.
?Brown?s strategy of waiting before making a big purchase is in line with advice from experts. To curb impulse shopping, finance podcaster Glen James recommends employing something called the 1% rule: if you want to make a purchase that?s larger than 1% of your gross annual income, wait at least a day before purchasing it.
The 24-hour cool down period gives you time to sit with your decision and determine if you really want the item.

So I love it when people (especially women!) talk about money, and will definitely file away that practical tip about waiting a day on a purchase that?s 1% of my gross income. And I?ll pay it forward with a bit of advice that was transformative for me: if you can, try to put 10% of your paycheck into savings. It adds up!

We got several interesting headlines out of that book and Quinn?s promotion, like this story about the Princess of Wales treating Prince William ?like the fourth child because he?s prone to tantrums.? Again, this was 2023, when the royalist press was full of rumors of the Waleses? strained marriage. Quinn also said, at the time, that William and Kate ?do have rows. It?s not a perfect marriage. They have terrific rows. But, where some couples have a row and throw heavy vases at each other, William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It?s always kept under control.? This is like ?sure, they?re violent with each other, but they keep it POSH.? Anyway, Quinn wrote another book called Yes Ma?am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants. In it, he has returned to one of his favorite topics: William is a tantrum-prone child who is ?parented? by Kate.
Kate Middleton is said to be such a major influence on her husband Prince William that she treats him like her fourth child. The claim was made by royal author Tom Quinn, who has written a new book, Yes Ma?am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants. Quinn spoke to hundreds of former and current palace staff members to learn what it?s like to watch over the House of Windsor.
Occasionally, William has little tantrums and irritations if things aren?t done the way he wants them done [as heir to the British throne], Quinn claimed to Fox News Digital. But Kate is very good at managing that in the same way that she manages the tantrums of their three children ? Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. And so, there?s a joke among the staff that Kate treats William as the fourth because he occasionally behaves like one.
According to the book, a member of staff told Quinn, I don?t know where William would be without Kate ? she hasn?t had everything done for her throughout her life, so she calms him down when he gets a bit fractious. She says he sometimes has to be treated as her fourth child!
The insider claimed that Kate?s non-royal upbringing makes her easygoing to work with, and a favorite among staff, in comparison to William and his father. Suits must be pressed and laid out after a period of consultation the night before; shoes must be polished, ties chosen, a staff member claimed to Quinn in his book about looking after King Charles III and his heir. Baths must be run at precisely the same time each day and both King Charles and the Prince of Wales, Prince William, are prone to tantrums if things are not done to their liking.?
?They both get irritated very quickly,? a former member of staff claimed, adding that the king and his heir are used to having things done for them, making them very picky.
People who have everything done for them from childhood tend to be rather spoiled and prone to bouts of irritation because they have no idea how much work is involved in washing and ironing, polishing and sewing when they have never done any of it themselves, the aide claimed, as quoted in Quinn?s book.
In many ways, William has had an emotionally damaging childhood, Quinn explained to Fox News Digital. I don?t just mean because his mother, Princess Diana, died when he was 15, which is enormous in itself. Everyone could understand that that was very damaging to him.
But before that, the split between his parents was very public. All the unpleasantness between his parents was played out on the world stage. Meanwhile, he was looked after by paid staff. For much of that time, it created an adult in William who was very needy.?
?He loved spending time with Kate?s family because, unlike his, they were very warm, very close with each other, very emotionally aware. When Kate and William first got together, William tended to have tantrums if things didn?t go his way because he was still this emotionally needy child who grew up into an emotionally needy adult.
As far as those alleged temper tantrums, they?re less so now, Quinn claimed, thanks to Kate.

There?s been an insane amount of positioning in the trade papers, right-wing media and gossip media and I stopped caring it?s my hope that the eventual trial clears some things up, although Blake and Ryan Reynolds spent a good chunk of last week trying to get Baldoni?s lawsuits dismissed.
Meanwhile, I just want to be able to gossip about normal things re: Blake Lively. Like, remember her Preserve lifestyle business/site? Remember the ?Allure of Antebellum? editorial? Good times. I bring up Blake?s pro-Antebellum stance because it?s relevant to this interesting piece of gossip: Blake and Ryan are skipping this year?s Met Gala. TMZ, Us Weekly and People Magazine all got briefed on Blake and Ryan?s decision, which is weird, right? That they would make a point of telling multiple outlets that they would NOT attend this year?s Met Gala? I?m bringing this back to the pro-Antebellum stance because this year?s Met Gala theme is ?Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,? with Monica Miller?s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity being used as the inspo/source material for the theme and exhibit. LeBron James, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, ASAP Rocky and Pharrell Williams are all co-chairs this year. So the couple who got married on a South Carolina plantation doesnt want to go to a Met Gala with such a Black theme, huh??
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will not be attending the 2025 Met Gala. An exclusive source confirmed the news to PEOPLE, sharing, Blake and Ryan haven?t gone since 2022, when they were co-chairs, and they will not be in attendance this year.
The theme of the 2025 Met Gala, which will be held on May 5, was previously revealed by Vogue as ?Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.? Per the outlet, the exhibit draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller?s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity and will feature garments, paintings, photographs, and more ? all exploring the indelible style of Black men in the context of dandyism, from the 18th century through present day. Miller will serve as a guest curator for the show with Costume Institute Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton.
The 2022 Met Gala marked Livelys 10th appearance at the annual fashion event in New York City. That year, she and Reynolds, 48, served as co-chairs alongside Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

Gwen has, in my opinion, always been more socially conservative and religious than her fans realize, and she also has a long history of problematic words and behavior around race. And yet? she used to be a huge Democrat and a huge Democratic donor and fundraiser. But things have changed these days, she?s reposting hyper-religious-wingnut content, she?s boosting Tucker Carlson interviews and she?s following right-wing nutjobs on social media. Well, now the Mail is running an exclusive about how Gwen has basically adopted Blake Shelton?s Republican politics and the music industry doesn?t know what to do with her anymore because her new music sucks and she?s turned off all of her loyal fans.
Gwen Stefani has become unrecognizable to her fans, friends and even her label which is now said to be considering dropping her after her alleged MAGA makeover. The No Doubt singer, 55, outraged her liberal fans last week when she publicly supported conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson, reposting one of his religious interviews. The move shocked her fans given her previous support for the Democratic party.
Now an insider has told the Daily Mail that Gwen appears to have gone MAGA and doesnt care if it alienates her fans. They alleged that the change in her political views could be attributed to her husband, country singer Blake Shelton, who previously praised Donald Trump.
After massively supporting Democrats for years ? she appears to have gone MAGA, the source explained. Some of this can be attributed to her marriage, as Blake is an infamous Republican. She shut out everyone for him. She doesn?t seem to care about her fans anymore and has shed her persona to become the unrecognizable opposite of what she once was. The Tucker Carson situation is not anything new, though. This is who she has become, the source continued. Gwen is not even trying to hide who she has become and this person is unrecognizable to her fans, friends and even her label.
She cannot sell albums anymore and with her new holier-than-thou campaign, it has really turned a lot of people off, said our source. After [teaming up with the Catholic] app, she released her last album Bouquet which was an absolute bomb. This has caused Interscope to consider dropping her which is a travesty considering she was once one of their top selling artists. But she has only herself to blame.
Gwens last album debuted at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and sold only 13,000 copies in its first week. The Daily Mail has reached out to Gwen and Interscope for comment.

For what it?s worth, I listened to a little bit of Gwen?s last album and it was a trainwreck, it?s like she?s completely lost her innate understanding of the pop-music zeitgeist. I guess her old producers don?t want to work with her anymore either. I think that was why the album bombed, not ?fans were turned off by her politics? the music was just bad. In the musical sense, Gwen had a good run she was incredibly relevant for over two decades. She even had some hit songs with Blake in recent years. My new favorite celebrity couple is Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin. ICYMI, they did a big spread for Cosmopolitan in February. Brenda is currently co-starring in the new Netflix series, Running Point with Kate Hudson, so she?s been doing the talk show circuit. On The Jennifer Hudson Show she talked about being a working mother, how she?s a die-hard LA Lakers fan, and her relationship, including the times that she attempted to teach the world?s most famous child star how to drive and do his own laundry.
Brenda Song revealed her fianc, 44, still doesn?t know how to drive a car and didn?t know how to do laundry when they first met.
?I always say Mac is a very unique human being the most famous child actor in the world,? Song said during her Thursday appearance on ?The Jennifer Hudson Show.? ?He still doesn?t know how to drive! I took him out to drive in our neighborhood. I was terrified, let me tell you.?
The ?Suite Life on Deck? star, 36, joked she has to ?hire someone? to teach the former child star to do that specific task.
As for the laundry, Song explained that Culkin?s unique childhood is to blame.
?He lived and grew up in hotels, he had just never really done laundry, and I was shooketh?,? she told Hudson.

Song and Culkin have kept a relatively low profile throughout their relationship. There?s a famous scene in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody where Phil Lewis? character, Mr. Moseby, is trying to teach Brenda?s character, London Tipton, how to drive, and she refers to the gear shift as ?the PRINDL.? It sounds like there was a case of life imitating art here. I think that the older you get, the harder it is to learn how to drive. It?s similar to how it?s tougher to learn a new language as you get older. Mac is rich enough to be able to call a driver and he could have gotten lessons at any other point in his life before now, so I?m sure he doesn?t really feel like he?s missing out. Still, the imagery of him trying to practice left-hand turns in an empty parking lot is sending me. As for the laundry, it makes sense that he never had to learn due to growing up in hotels. It?s also not surprising. Some couples split up household chores and literally never learn how to do the one that isn?t their responsibility.
JHud was stanning Mac pretty hard throughout, so Brenda also talked about how she made her beau watch Home Alone for the first time in over a decade when they first got together. He kept telling her behind-the-scenes trivia and she had to tell him to knock it off because he was ?ruining it? for her. Hahaha, amazing. As it turns out, Jennifer is such a fan that she actually tried to buy the Home Alone house when it went up for sale last year! I think that is so cool. Apparently, the people who ended up buying it did so anonymously, but this makes me wonder how many other celebrities also tried to buy it.

There?s something magical about Tina and Amy?s friendship and their comedic energy when they?re together. They have been dear friends for what? Almost three decades? Something like that. Well, obviously, Tina made some comments which are getting a lot of play. Tina and Amy start talking about celebrity side-hustles and how Tina doesn?t really respect rich people who dabble in money-making schemes on the side.
Tina Fey revealed she will never have a side hustle and admitted she judges fellow celebrities who do.
?I have a problem with rich people having a side hustle,? the ?Mean Girls? star shared on Tuesday?s episode of the ?Good Hang with Amy Poehler? podcast. ?If you already have like $200 million ? I judge it,? she added.
Poehler, 53, encouraged Fey, 54, to change her viewpoint, saying the latter should ?learn from Gen Z? and not ?judge it.?

The thing to understand about Tina?s perspective and this is why Amy brings up Gen Z is that Tina is Gen X. Gen Xers and Xennials did not grow up in ?hustle culture.? That was not part of our cultural experience when we were growing up, we were told to look down on ?sellouts? who ?did things for money.? There was a whole period of time when people looked down on new designer clothing and everyone prioritized vintage everything and flea-markets and Goodwills. Actors just ACTED, they didn?t have their own wine labels. Musicians didn?t have a list of sponsors. Spoilers for The White Lotus.
Generally, I avoid writing too much about Severance and The White Lotus because most discussions involve so many spoilers, and I want people to be able to genuinely enjoy the experience of watching these shows in their own time. I?m really enjoying this season of TWL I?m rooting for two characters to make it, Aimee Lou Woods? character Chelsea and Natasha Rothwell?s character Belinda. Almost everyone else can choke! No, I actually like some of them, including Walton Goggins? man of mystery, who is apparently hunting down the guy who killed his father. Goggins? character, Rick, has flown to Bangkok to hunt down this guy, and Rick ended up calling an old friend for some help.
In the most recent episode, we finally got to meet Rick?s friend, who was played by Oscar-winner Sam Rockwell. Rockwell?s guest role it?s more than a cameo, he?s in next week?s episode too has quickly become one of the most bonkers moments in TWL?s history. Rockwell delivered a truly insane monologue which I will not even describe, you just have to watch it. So many people thought Rockwell?s partner Leslie Bibb somehow got Rockwell the role, or that Rockwell might have been hanging out on set with Bibb, because she?s one of the major characters this season. As it turns out, not so much. Bibb spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how Sam dropped into Thailand for eight days and did his thing.

No, they came to me and they were like, Were going to offer this to Sam,' Bibb tells EW. I was on the treadmill and [producer] Dave Bernad came to me. But I was like, Sam is wild as a buck. Listen, I dont know what hes going to do. Hes doing a movie in South Africa, he likes time to prep. And he was very nervous about that prep time.
That was a big arc to do that quickly, Bibb says of [Rockwell?s] characters debut. And [Rockwell] literally went from one [project] to the next, so I said [to producers], You cant get mad at me if he says no. What if he says no? I was so scared! Then [creator] Mike [White] was like, No, no, no, we wont get mad at you.'
Bibb laughed as she remembered telling the showrunner, I was like, That jet planes going to fly, I cant ground him. But then it was really sweet ? I think Walton really, because theyre very good friends, wanted to have that experience with him.
And getting her real-life partner to come join her on the set of The White Lotus was a treat, even if Rockwell got a truncated experience. It was really fun, she says. We dont have any scenes together, and he did all of his stuff in eight days. We were there for six months, Sam was there for eight days ? Sam did not [have] the same experience in eight days. He got The White Lotus light. But its nice to be able to have a context to share, and I think hes a great actor, and were lucky to have him, and I think he chewed up that character. Mike was really happy to have him too.
Bibb did get a bit jealous when she first saw some of Rockwells scenes, however. I saw some stills from them on the boat in Bangkok, and I was like, Were sweating our faces off, and they were like, hair blowing in the wind,' she added with a laugh. Look how cool they look. This is like To Live and Die in L.A., but it was like To Live and Die in Bangkok. It was so cool.

What?s even wilder about this is that Sam still hasn?t said anything? He just dropped into TWL, delivered the craziest monologue in the history of the show, dipped after a few days and he?s done absolutely nothing to promote it or talk about it. An actor?s life is so wild though, I bet Sam enjoyed the hell out of the guest role and being able to work with his friend Walton Goggins. What I also liked was that Rockwell?s appearance felt completely organic within the show. It wasn?t like ?oh, look, a movie star just showed up!? You actually felt like those two guys had some history and once you see the scene, you realize that Sam didn?t do this for the glamour.

When Kim Kardashian finally filed for divorce from Kanye West, everyone knew that it would be a giant mess. Even Kim knew that, and she clearly had a plan for how to handle it and how to ?manage? Kanye. He spent so many months trying to stall every part of their divorce, and Kim patiently waited it out. When they finally completed their divorce, the terms were simple enough: joint custody of the kids, Kim kept almost all of their jointly-held real estate, and they otherwise left the marriage with their separate assets. Since the divorce, Kanye has not been a consistent father to those kids and Kim has repeatedly said that she feels like a single mother.
If anything, Kanye only seems to give a sh-t about the oldest child, North West, and he seems to spend the most time with her. To the point where North is being featured in Kanye?s chaotic new music. Over the weekend, Kanye released a new song called ?Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine.? It features North rapping and a phone conversation between Kanye and Sean Combs. Kanye is still on Twitter (naturally) and he tried to ?expose? Kim?s attempts to get the song taken down, and Kim?s protests about including their eldest child in anything involving Sean Combs, who is still awaiting trial for human trafficking, rape, etc. This song seems to be the straw that broke the camel?s back, and now Kim is making moves to strip Kanye of joint custody of their kids.
Kim Kardashian is mulling over a big decision whether to go to court and ask a judge to strip Kanye West of joint legal custody of their 4 kids, because her ex-husband has flagrantly ignored their custody agreement.
The latest legal war was set off after Kanye agreed in a mediation Friday not to release a previously recorded song in which their daughter North raps. The track Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine also includes a phone convo between Diddy and Kanye.
Thing is Kim was vehemently opposed to letting North participate in any way and according to their divorce settlement, they both have equal say in making decisions for their kids.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ, the divorce settlement provides for the event theres a conflict Kim and Kanye must first go to a private judge to try and hash out an agreement. Kim was there for the mediation with her lawyer, Disso Queen Laura Wasser, and his lawyer, Patrick DeCarolis, and they did reach an agreement North would not appear on any version of the song if it was released.
But agreements dont seem to matter with Kanye, and he released the song with Norths voice over the weekend. Kanye posted to X last night THE MAN MAKES THE FINAL DECISION.
So, heres what Kim is weighing Kanye rarely sees his kids, so physical custody is not an issue. In fact, Kim wants their kids to have a relationship with their dad and has almost always facilitated that. One recent exception when Kanye held an event where he urged participants to wear swastika shirts. She did not feel it was appropriate for her kids to attend that event.
As for legal custody, hes not that involved in decision-making, but still Kanye has made it clear hes not about to follow the rules of the road. So our sources say Kim is seriously considering going to court to ask a judge to strip him of joint legal custody.

Many people wondered why Kim didn?t seek sole custody in the first place, but looking back on everything, I think Kim understood that she would effectively have sole custody anyway because Kanye was such a deadbeat dad, plus she really did want the kids to have a relationship with him in some way. But yeah, I?m fine with her seeking sole custody and I?m sure Kanye is enjoying the fact that he finally got a reaction from Kim after she?s mostly grey-rocked him for years. I expect the family court judge will be like ?he put his CHILD in a song with Sean Combs?? I?ve heard enough.?
