Bryce Dallas Howard is a self-described ?third-generation actor and director,? which technically makes her a second-generation nepo baby. Her dad, Ron Howard, is a wildly talented actor and filmmaker and that her uncle, Clint Howard, is also a successful actor. Well, her grandparents were also well-known actors with long careers and her mother, Cheryl Howard, is an actress and novelist. Oh, and her godfather is Henry Winkler. Basically, Bryce comes from a long line of industry success stories. And of course, Bryce herself has had a lot of success, as both an actress and director.
Thankfully, despite her pedigree, Bryce has stayed grounded. She knows what?s what. During a recent guest spot on Josh Horowitz?s Happy Sad Confused podcast, Bryce not only acknowledged her own privilege, but she pointed out that her father was fortunate enough to get a leg up in Hollywood because of his own parents. She didn?t try to justify anything or dismiss it. Instead, she fully owned how ?very, very lucky? she?s been.
?I think it?s important to just say this: Im a third-generation actor and director. My dad was incredibly privileged, my dad and uncle, to be raised in a household with parents who worked in the industry.
I, in turn, have been enormously privileged to be raised in a home where my dad is doing the work that hes doing,? Bryce went on. ?My mom is also a novelist and is absolutely incredible. And so, its a joy to get to do the stuff that we do, but also its a very rare thing.
I talk about all these things in ways that are very? Its very fun, but I just want to acknowledge for a moment that this is a very unique way to be raised and Ive been very, very lucky. I?ve tried my hardest to put everything that Ive learned into my work.?

It is so refreshing to hear how self-aware she is. I?d expect nothing less from Ron Howard?s daughter! It reminds me of how Jack Quaid acknowledged his privilege after his mom, Meg Ryan, got all overprotective of the ?nepo baby? moniker. I find the whole nepotism debate to be so annoying. I don?t know why it?s so difficult for some celebrities to just admit that as second- or third-generation actors/musicians/designers, they have a leg up that many of their peers do not. (Looking at you, Dakota Johnson and Patrick Schwarzenegger.)
I truly don?t get why some people?s psyche or egos cannot connect that being a nepo baby doesn?t mean you didn?t work hard or aren?t talented. It just means you had the privilege of opportunities that others did not. I think a good comparison is finding an advantage that lets you sit out of the first part of Survivor challenge that lets you automatically skip ahead to the final portion of the competition. No one is saying that you?re being handed individual immunity. They?re just saying that you skipped some of the earlier stages and didn?t have to start fighting until round two or three. Here?s some happy news: Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer are married! The couple, who started dating in 2019 and got engaged in 2021, tied the knot at the Mexican restaurant Casita Del Campo on April 20. Both TMZ and People have pictures of the brides from during the ceremony. Dylan wore a sheer silk mini-dress while Kristen wore a white t-shirt with a light gray cardigan and mini-skirt. Confirmed guests include actress Ashely Benson and her husband Brandon Davis.
Kristen Stewart, 35, tied the knot with Dylan Meyer in Los Angeles on Sunday, April 20, according to TMZ. The outlet reports the couple exchanged vows at home in front of an intimate group of loved ones ? including Ashley Benson and her husband Brandon Davis ? after obtaining a marriage license at the courthouse.
A rep for Stewart did not immediately respond to a request for comment from PEOPLE.
Stewart and Meyer, who went Instagram official with their relationship in October 2019, got engaged in 2021. During an appearance on SiriusXMs The Howard Stern Show that year, Stewart joked that Meyer, 37 ? who is the daughter of Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nicholas Meyer ? beat her to the punch and was the one who proposed.
Its not a given that I would be the one, you know what I mean? Like, with two girls, you never know, like, whos going to fulfill what weird f gender role thing and we dont do that or think about it in those terms, the actress explained to host Howard Stern.
So I was like, Wait, well, Im not the one for sure. And so I was kind of joking for a bit, like, No, I want to be the one to propose, like, I want to be proposed to and then she just grabbed that bowl and made it happen. It was f so cute, she continued, adding that Meyer knocked it out of the park with her proposal.
Stewart had previously opened up to Stern about the first time she told Meyer she loved her. It was really late and we were in some s bar, and her friends were there or whatever and they walked out, and I was just like, Oh, man, Im so f in love with you. Like, done, she recalled in a November 2019 appearance on the shock jocks show. It wasnt like a thing, and it also was so obvious.
In early 2022, Stewart shared an update on her wedding plans, telling late-night host Stephen Colbert that shed like to have a big party or something ? but that she could also envision just deciding to get married on the spur of the moment.
We might just go do it this weekend, I dont know, and then, like, just hang out with everyone afterwards, she said. I just want to do it, you know? Im not a good planner. I cant make plans for dinner.
Stewart later told CBS Sunday Morning that the wedding would happen when its supposed to happen, adding, But I also dont want to be engaged for, like, five years. Like, we want to do it, you know what I mean?

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are making the most of their time off. The 14-time Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs star have enjoyed some downtime following her Eras Tour and the Chiefs run for a three-peat Super Bowl win.
They have been traveling nonstop and very much enjoy it, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively. They are making the most of their time off together. They are hanging out with friends, too. Its a special time for them.
The insider says that Swift, 35, and Kelce, 35, are very serious and in sync, adding: They value the same things. Right now, the focus is very much on private time out of the spotlight.
The couple was most recently spotted out and about in March. Kelce and Swift were in Park City, Utah early March, per a video published by Deuxmoi. The couple also stepped out for dinner in New York City on March 14. They also vacationed in Montana after the NFL season ended.

Can I just say? I think it?s cool that they?re traveling within America. Going to ski towns and hanging out in Montana sounds relaxing. I suspect that if they traveled abroad, they would be tracked by fans and their peaceful hiatus would be disturbed. But Taylor?s money buys a lot of privacy, especially within the US. I also suspect that Taylor needed this break more than Travis her Eras Tour was long and grueling. I kind of wonder if she?ll ever undertake something that big again. Anyway, I just looked it up and the Chiefs? training camp doesn?t even start until July, so I suspect TNT will be in the wind for a few more months. You guys, I actually sort of miss them? I miss the TNT gossip, honestly. And I miss seeing Travis?s ridiculous fashion.

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick are in London this week to promote A Simple Favor 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2018 film. The sequel is exclusively on Amazon Prime and I don?t think they?re even giving this one a theatrical release? I?m including photos from the London photocall, the premiere/screening and some photos of Blake outside of a London hotel, smiling at the paparazzi on Tuesday.
Fashion notes: for the photocall, Blake wore head-to-toe Chanel, a black-and-gold cardigan, skirt and boots. Her purse is Chanel and she wore lots of jewelry and hair accessories. Just my opinion, but Blake?s style is always just a little bit ?off.? She?s always prided herself on styling herself and you can tell, because most stylists would have asked her to make some smaller adjustments along the way. Anna?s red look is Rixo London I?m not crazy about it.
For the screening, Blake wore a fringed David Koma trench coat. Anna wore Zuhair Murad! I have to admit, my favorite ensemble is actually the sequined denim look on Blake. I?m really obsessed with those jeans (not so much the matching shirt). As always, people are doing body-language analysis between Blake and Anna my take is that Anna and Blake are not BFFs whatsoever but they?re okay with each other and keeping it professional?
Obviously, we?ve tapped out on covering the daily minutiae of Blake and Justin Baldoni?s lawsuits, but they?re still fighting and all of the legal actions are seemingly on-going. A crew member recently went on the record with 60 Minutes Australia, and she said that Baldoni was a lovely boss and, in her opinion, Blake tried to take control of the film. _(?)_/

In the past decade, I believe Cate and her family have lived full-time in England, where they have a country estate. Cate is constantly working and traveling though she?s got beauty contracts, fashion contracts, and she?s always showing up for fashion designer friends and various palace events too. She?s got a steady stream of TV projects and films as well. All of that, and she works consistently in theater in London, New York and Sydney. I would think that the larger problem is that Cate is really burned out from working and traveling so much. Maybe that burnout is what inspired her to make these comments:

Two, I believe Austin Butler is the reason why Zoe?s engagement to Channing Tatum ended so swiftly last year. The timing checks out in both instances, and I?ll give Zoe some credit: as soon as she feels herself being pulled towards another man, she ends the relationship she?s currently in. She?s not carrying on months-long affairs, you know? Well, Austin and Zoe have been relatively quiet since she split with Channing. No one has said that they?re dating, but they wrapped filming on Caught Stealing and they?re still hanging out with one another. In March, they went to the same Paris Fashion Week events and he was seen leaving a party hosted by Zoe. Now ?sources? are giving some indication about what?s happening behind the scenes:
Are they going to steal each other?s hearts? ?Caught Stealing? co-stars Zoe Kravitz and Austin Butler play love interests in the upcoming film, but have sparked real-life romance rumors after they were seen kissing on set in October 2024, a month before filming wrapped. For years, Amazon Prime has been trying to pull together a series based on the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider video game. The game/IP was already adapted in two films starring Angelina Jolie, and one 2018 film starring Alicia Vikander as Lara. For some reason, I thought Vikander?s turn as Croft was a flop, but I just checked the box office and it made $274 million worldwide, not too shabby with a $90 million budget. Still, within the cultural zeitgeist, Angelina Jolie is the actress more closely associated with Lara Croft, and the 2001 film also made $274 million worldwide. Well, like Spider-Man, they?re just going to keep rebooting this property, and reportedly, Sophie Turner has been cast as the new Lara.
Sophie Turner has been tapped to play Lara Croft in an upcoming streaming adaptation of Tomb Raider and a source exclusively tells Life & Style the Game of Thrones alum is throwing herself into the project and giving it everything she has to try to top the original actress who brought the character to life almost 25 years ago, Angelina Jolie.
Amazon greenlit the Tomb Raider television series earlier this year, but the insider, who is familiar with the project on the streaming giant?s side, dishes, ?This show is a little further along than has been reported in the press so far and some of the scripts that have come in are so good you could just break them out and turn them into full blown blockbuster movies on their right.?

Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be heading the project as writer and producer and the lead role has finally been given to Sophie, 29, after a few months of rumors swirling around casting.
?Sophie is going to town with the training for this movie, and she?s already extremely experienced with screen combat, stunts, and extreme costumes and special effects, thanks to her years in the Game of Thrones and X-Men universes,? the insider adds. ?But she?s getting into even better shape for this job, and sharpening all of her skill sets.?

One of my issues with Vikander was that I just thought she was way too small and delicate-looking to play Croft. The character needs someone who looks physically tough and tomboy-ish, and I think Sophie could pull that off. Now, all that being said, I bet Prime still finds a way to fk it up.

In my coverage of Michelle Williams welcoming a new baby, I mentioned that I would be spending the weekend watching her new eight-part Hulu show. I lied. I didn?t spend the weekend watching Dying for Sex? because I watched the whole thing in one sitting the Friday night it premiered. It is SO GOOD. (And the episodes are only 30 minutes each.) The show is based on a true story about Molly Kochan, Michelle?s character, who sets out to explore her sexuality after getting a terminal cancer diagnosis. Heavy stuff, but the show is actually quite hilarious. It?s also refreshingly honest and matter-of-fact in the way the characters discuss their sexual desires, preferences, and disappointments. Michelle just spoke with The Hollywood Reporter to hype the series, and she had some really great answers when asked about filming all the sexual scenarios. There are so many sex scenes in this show. When you were first reading the script, which scene intimidated you most? Which one were you excited about and did that change when you were filming?
The scripts kept rolling in as we were filming, so we would be in the middle of an episode and then we would get a script for the next one. To be honest, at this point, I had watched the first two and then maybe three scripts roll in, and I had felt so enlivened after reading them. While maybe in my schooled brain, or I don?t know I would term it? it?s like the way you were habituated to think or maybe what you were taught or told as a child or an adolescent. The things that you?ve tried to free yourself from as a grown woman and also as a parent of a daughter, in my attempt to untangle myself from these ideas that were given to me so that I could break from that tradition and pass something different onto my own daughter.
Perhaps I heard a tiny little alarm bell twinkling in the back of my brain, saying, ?Oh, that might be embarrassing, or somebody might be upset with you, or what will so-and-so think?? But then my next thought was, ?Fantastic! This is exactly what I set out to do. I want to disconnect pleasure and shame.? That?s really one of the journeys that the character goes on, so can she experience something that?s meant for her that is pleasurable without feeling bad for it, or something that?s going to befall her because of it. So I really leapt wholeheartedly into these scenarios, whether they be in masturbatory sequences or partnered with these people that she meets along the way. I relish the written words and situations that Liz [Meriwether, showrunner] had laid out in front of us.

Michelle Williams always strikes me as so thoughtful and eloquent, and paring down her core emotional attraction to the show to ?I want to disconnect pleasure and shame,? is just splendidly concise. And profound. I mean, that?s it! That?s the whole game! Dying for Sex is definitely not Fifty Shades of Grey, nor is it maudlin, even as they don?t back down from presenting a candid portrait of dying (full confession: I sobbed for the entirety of the final episode). So with all that, it?s hard to convey just how funny and joyous the show is ? Michelle doesn?t get enough comedic roles, her timing and expressions were inspired! It?s also some of the best work I?ve ever seen Jenny Slate do, in the co-leading role of Molly?s best friend, Nikki, who Molly asks to be her primary caregiver. Or as Molly puts it in the first episode, ?I want to die with you.? (?And you?re sticking to that claim that it?s a funny show, Kismet?? ?Yes, yes I am!?) Anyway, enough of me trying to sell it. Over the years, it?s become abundantly clear that the only value Prince William places on the Earthshot Awards is being able to get photo-ops with celebrities. In 2022, he didn?t even invite the prize winners to the ceremony all of the winners had to Zoom into the show while William gurned and egged his way through the big celebrity meet-up. In 2023, Hannah Waddingham, Lana Condor and Cate Blanchett were tasked with flying to Singapore to stroke William?s ego and pose with the ?hot single dad.? In 2024, it was even worse, as William was pretty much exposed for calling up random models like Heidi Klum and asking them to come to South Africa for photo-ops with Peg. Incidentally, I absolutely believe that most (if not all) of the celebrities turning up at Earthshot Prize award ceremonies are getting paid hefty appearance fees.
Well, to hear Cate Blanchett tell it, she?s in it for the love of environmentalism. Cate has absolutely become more interested in environmentalism and sustainable fashion over the years, and I assume that she genuinely believes that Earthshot is an okay program and her support doesn?t come with a price tag. Which is probably why Earthshot people probably begged her to do this dumb interview:
Individuals must not be made to feel burdened with solving climate change alone, Cate Blanchett has said, as she praises the Prince of Wales?s Earthshot Prize. Blanchett, the Oscar-winning actress, said that the ?overwhelming nature of the climate challenge can lead to despair, but we don?t have time for apathy and inaction?.
Noting that it is ?really important to recognise that many people are struggling? themselves, she told the Telegraph: ?Climate can feel like yet another burden to take on ? that no one individual can make the changes needed to turn things around. But,? she added, ?(and it?s a big but!) collectively, we do have power. Small actions do add up. The way we consume does add up.?
Blanchett, who attended the 2023 awards in Singapore, praised the awards for recognising ?innovations that are not only game changing but rapidly scalable? The Prize, I feel, is a real injection of energised hope,? she said.
In an interview with the Telegraph while she was in the UK starring in The Seagull at the Barbican, Blanchett spoke of the ?mess? of climate change, and the importance of working together across the globe to find solutions.
?To pit the economy and environment and our humanity against each other is a retreat to the kind of outdated, failed ideological thinking that got us into this mess in the first place, not what?s needed to get us out of it,? she said. ?The first lesson that a disaster, a crisis, teaches us, is that everything is connected.?
The Earthshot Prize, she said, ?recognises the interwoven nature of the problem ? that advances in one corner of the world have ripple effects in others. The interconnected nature of the Prize is part of its power.?

I honestly don?t have a problem with Cate?s general sentiments, that it?s not about siloed individuals, banging their heads against the wall about the environment. It?s about working together towards shared environmental goals as a society. I can understand how Cate looks at Earthshot like ?eh, it?s better than nothing.? But again?William doesn?t even speak about Earthshot this way, nor is he capable of expressing these kinds of sentiments. He?s literally just doing it to hang out with famous people and try to convince everyone that supermodels are dying to hang out with him.
