I still mourn the death of the Taymerica parties. We didn?t know how good we had it! Taylor Swift used to throw an annual Fourth of July party at her Rhode Island mansion, and she would invite all of her friends to celebrate with swan floats and massive inflatable slides and ?I Heart T.S.? t-shirts. Those were the glory days of her performative friendships and ?the girl squad.? But those parties were canceled, or she just outgrew that era.
Maybe the new thing will be a big Christmas-birthday party? That?s what happened this year! Taylor Swift turned 30 (or ?Thir-Tay?) on the 13th. She celebrated by throwing herself a really big party and inviting all of her A-list friends, including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Gigi Hadid, Jonathan Van Ness and Antoni Porowski, Halsey, Camila Cabello and more. She got one multi-tiered cake at the Jingle Ball (where she performed) and then her friends got her a big cake with icing kitties those are the (crazy) faces of her cats Benjamin, Meredith and Olivia. Taylor referred to the party on her social media as ?the most aggressive holiday party known to womankind.? Mostly I?m just focused on the cake would I eat a cat-face? but the party looked so old-school Taymerica. Congrats on THIRTAY.

Last week, Greta Thunberg was named Time Magazine?s Person of the Year. I thought Greta was a good choice for many reasons, and one of those reasons was that Time?s choice would drive Donald Trump crazy, because he?s that thin-skinned and stupid and he cares about sh-t like ?who gets named POTY.? Like clockwork, Donald Trump soon ?attacked? a teenage girl on Twitter, writing that ?Greta must work on her Anger Management? and that she needed to ?chill.? Because he?s President Hector Projector. He was truly rage-tweeting about a teenage environmental activist getting recognized for her work.
Anyway, Donald Trump being a schoolyard bully is not news anymore. What did give the story an added dimension was the fact that he was cyberbullying a child, and one of Melania Trump?s few ?causes? is Be Best, which is something about cyberbullying, especially among the youths. Melania had also recently issued a statement about how it was apparently super-improper to even mention Barron?s name in one of the impeachment hearings. And yet, Melania had nothing to say as her husband cyberbullied a teenage girl. And then Melania did issue a statement, days later, through her spokesperson. Get a load of this:

It is no secret that the President and First Lady often communicate differently as most married couples do. Their son is not an activist who travels the globe giving speeches. Greta doesn?t deserve privacy nor does she have the right to NOT be cyberbullied by the president of the United States because? she?s given speeches at the UN and various climate panels. It?s weird how narrow Be Best?s charter really is, huh? Don?t cyberbully unless you?re attacking someone who has made a speech or gone out in public or done some activism. If you?re targeting a teenager for harassment, it?s fine as long as they?ve given a speech. BE BEST! Melania is the biggest fking C-U-Next-Tuesday.

I always enjoy it when a celebrity or company is revealed to be trash through a specific incident and then other celebrities and famous people come forward, with receipts, to prove this. Such is the case with the Hallmark channel, which recently pulled some sweet ads for the company Zola featuring a lesbian couple getting married and kissing at the altar. As Kaiser reported, the company which protested this very benign ad was the group 1 Million Moms, which has all of 4,239 followers on Twitter. Hallmark caved to this not at all influential (not that it would make a difference) hate group. They eventually reinstated the ads, but only after a ton of backlash, calls for a boycott and Zola vowing to no longer advertise with them. Now Hilarie Burton, who stars in the very cute and actually diverse Lifetime movie A Christmas Wish (I watched it, Pam Grier has a major role and one of the lead characters brothers has a husband and its treated as matter-of-fact), has some receipts about Hallmark. Here are her tweets, in order, about her sh-tty experience with them asking for more diversity and being completely shut down.
Just going through some old emails from a #Hallmark job I was ?let go? from back in January. I had insisted on a LGBTQ character, an interracial couple and diverse casting. I was polite, direct and professional. But after the execs gave their notes on the script and NONE of my Requests were honored, I was told ?take it or leave it?.

Key point here: I have a wonderful husband @JDMorgan who works his ass off so I have the luxury to choose morals over paying bills. Not everyone has that! Nor should we be forced to be dependent. If I had to cover our mortgage and was told ?take it or leave it?, I?d be f-ked.

Hilarie didnt even plug her movie! Watch A Christmas Wish. They also make fun of romance movie tropes, like how cute meets can be annoying, and how the guys in romcoms can seem like stalkers.
Given the fact that Hilarie got fired, as a white woman, for asking about diversity, can you imagine what people of color go through? We just heard about Gabrielle Unions experience with at Americas Got Talent with NBC. The Hallmark movies are SO WHITE and so straight. Its very noticeable and Im not surprised that Hilarie had this experience with them. Watch Lifetime movies! Seriously #BoycottHallmark, their movies are cardboard cutout of romances anyway.
