Jessica Simpson is sort of single. Jessica is separated from her husband Eric Johnson, and there?s been a slow-moving estrangement for the better part of six months or so. She?s now living in Nashville, while Eric is seemingly still based in LA. Neither of them has gone scorched earth so far, but again, no one has filed for divorce and everything seems like it?s in limbo. Now, if you told me that Jessica was already acting like she was divorced, I would believe you. That?s absolutely her vibe, from what little we?ve seen of her new life in Nashville. I also wouldn?t be surprised if we eventually learned that Jessica or Eric (or both) cheated. Well, in any case, it looks like Jessica is trying to get Jeremy Renner?s attention. Jessica and Jeremy have known each other socially for years, but they?re both single-ish right now, so Jess is shooting her shot.
She?s single and ready to mingle. Jessica Simpson was caught leaving flirty comments on Jeremy Renner?s workout videos following her split from her husband, Eric Johnson. Earlier this month, netizens noticed that the ?With You? singer, 44, left a fire emoji underneath an Instagram video of the ?Hawkeye? star, 54, shirtless in a gym. While Renner didn?t reply to the praise, he notably ?liked? the comment.
Then, over the weekend, Simpson left another message below a clip of the actor exercising with his mother, Valerie Cearley. Renner, once again, ditched his shirt in the clip as he and his mom completed an ab circuit in a garage. ?I love this oh my?Mama is STRONG?I need to go do sit ups now ,? the ?Irresistible? singer wrote.
Simpson has ?liked? nearly all of Renner?s posts since late January ? the same month she confirmed her separation from Johnson, 45. The ?Avengers? star returned the love following the release of Simpson?s new EP, ?Nashville Canyon, Pt. 1.? After the fashion designer dropped the country project last week, Renner commented on her announcement, ?Congrats Jess !!! .?
The back-and-forth comes 15 years after the two first sparked romance rumors. Back in 2010, People reported that Renner and Simpson had been spotted ?flirting up a storm? at a cocktail party. ?Jeremy spent the night hitting on Jessica like crazy,? a spy told the magazine at the time, also claiming the stars had exchanged numbers at the event. However, the ?Hurt Locker? actor later denied reports that they were dating.

She also deleted at least one photo of Davino from her IG (but Davino barely appears on her IG anyway). In any case, sources now say that Sydney has called off the wedding (but not the engagement?) and that Davino has been stressing her out.

As in, she?s not promoting anything right now, she?s just working on back-to-back projects. Which gives these reports some legitimacy. I think she genuinely might be phasing out Davino. Interesting. Also: I looked through recent photos of Sydney, and Davino hasn?t been around for a few months. She went to the Vanity Fair Oscar party solo and networked like a champ. She went to Paris Fashion Week solo to rep Miu Miu. The last time it looks like Sydney and Jonathan were out together was January. Hm.

In 2023, Angelina Jolie started Atelier Jolie. She signed an eight-year lease on Jean-Michel Basquiat?s old workspace/living space, and she dreamed of transforming the building into a half-business/half-charity which would provide resources and attention for refugee designers and creators. Originally, the idea was based on fashion as in, bring in refugee creatives to design eco-conscious clothing lines and capsule collections. They did that for more than a year, but it looks like that idea has been partially abandoned. Now the building is partly devoted to a cafe (Eat Offbeat) and a more freewheeling arts-and-advocacy space in which important discussions are facilitated, lectures are given and also, Angelina is now providing gallery space for artists? From Jolie?s interview/profile in the NY Times this week:
The original vision for Atelier Jolie: For a little over a year, she has endeavored to build Atelier Jolie into a hub for artists and makers ? and chefs, students and Broadway stars. The building comes with an almost unparalleled artistic pedigree: 57 Great Jones Street was once owned by Andy Warhol, and inhabited by Jean-Michel Basquiat, who had his studio there until his death in 1988. Jolie?s dream was for the space to once again be a cultural locus, a clubhouse full of inspired and international creatives, and also a magnet for a curious public ? to come and browse, take a class, refuel with a slice of orange almond cake at the global-cuisine cafe, Eat Offbeat. It did not immediately work out as she envisioned. ?It?s been tricky,? she said in a recent interview. ?I found that this has been a lot of what not to do.?
Atelier Jolie is no longer about fashion: Its initial incarnation was as a pop-up fashion studio for visiting designers, ?because I think the world?s most interested in that,? she said. ?People focus on fashion. But, it was very quickly clear to me that that wasn?t going to be my love,? in part because she rejected the environmental impact of the typical fashion cycle ? water pollution, greenhouse gas emissions, landfill-fueling consumption. ?I don?t want to tell people that they need to buy something new every few months.?
Now she?s giving away space to artists for free: So she pivoted, expanding her web and sharing the rarest New York commodity: square footage. For free. The French multimedia artist Prune Nourry, who helped organize the Neshat event as part of an exhibition called ?Strand for Women,? has become the atelier?s artist-in-residence, with a second-floor studio where she expects to sculpt sometimes mammoth works over the next two years.
Angelina is a connector: In her circles, she is known as a connector, who is quick to open her home, offer help and learn one-on-one; she has painted, danced and attended silk-screening, felting and cooking classes at Atelier Jolie. ?I wanted a place where I could spend time with local artists,? she said. She hoped to conjure the vibe of a film set, she said, especially one with a crew from the far-flung corners of the world: ?You can feel that feeling of being purposeful with others.?
How Atelier Jolie is classified: Atelier Jolie, a for-profit public benefit corporation (a certified B Corp) with the goal of social good, is not charging Invisible Dog any rent for its yearlong residency. In Brooklyn, the gallery needed $500,000 annually ?just to open the door,? Zayan said, and regularly held fund-raisers. Now donations can support work directly. ?We?re doing well, and we?re building a new model, Jolie said of the financial prospects of Atelier Jolie, which has an eight-year lease on the building. Zayan aims to make it a destination for downtown and beyond, just as Invisible Dog was in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn. And Jolie has been an eager partner. They communicate almost daily, he said. ?When you email her, you never know where she is, what time zone, but she answers you immediately. She?s very involved.?
How she came to Basquiat?s old building: Jolie loved the squat, sprayed-up building (which had recently housed a restaurant) when she first saw it in 2023 with one of her daughters. ?I wasn?t interested in being on the Upper East Side,? she said, explaining why she sought out the downtown neighborhoods she had wound through in her 20s, while studying film at New York University. But, she said, ?I was also intimidated by the history.? She got in touch with Basquiat?s sisters, who gave the atelier their blessing, and turn up at events. In conversations this month, Jolie seemed frustrated that the atelier was viewed as another exclusive downtown boutique. ?The act of creation should be accessible to everyone,? she said.
Where she stays when she?s in NYC: She was speaking from a Manhattan hotel room; the New York apartment she bought in her 20s is now inhabited by one of her sons, and is a crash pad for his five siblings. Mom is welcome ? sometimes. ?The other day I said I was going to pop by, and he was like, can you just give me a day to clean?? she said. ?I thought, I appreciate that, you should clean up for your mother. ?A for-profit public benefit corporation (a certified B Corp)? ah, well that sort of explains why it feels like Angelina is not interested in turning this into any kind of profit-generating anything. She came up with the concept of Atelier Jolie shortly after she finally sold her half of Chateau Miraval. As in, she found herself with $60 million and it was burning a hole in her pocket, so she put this together. That?s what it feels like too, that Angelina is just paying for everything and running the space as a not-for-profit art charity. It?s a shame too while I love that she?s doing this, I also wish Gen Xer Jolie would participate in ?hustle culture? a little bit, and just find a way to turn this into a revenue-generator. Sell Atelier Jolie merch, bring in creatives to make cool t-shirts which can be sold in the gift shop, SOMETHING. It?s giving ?rich woman becomes a patron to the arts? but Jolie thinks she?s reinventing the wheel.

Millie Bobby Brown has been very visible lately, and it?s not just because of her new platinum blonde hair. Her movie with Chris Pratt, The Electric State, premiered on Netflix on March 14, which prompted the recent flurry of appearances, including covering the March issue of Vanity Fair. In that interview, Millie ? who married Jake Bongiovi last May when she was 20 and he was 22 ? talked about conversations she and Jake had when they got together. Things like making sure they were aligned on politics, values, and their career and family goals. It seems there?s one area, though, where they agreed to be opposites: money! On a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, Millie shared how wildly different financial backgrounds have shaped their contrasting spending habits. While Jake grew up with Bon Jovi money, Millie?s family had very little before she landed Stranger Things. The experience left such an impact that to this day, Millie still shops for basics at Target and Amazon, and carefully considers large purchases.
Millie Bobby Brown still remembers what it was like to have financial insecurity.
The 21-year-old ?grew up with no money? before receiving the life-changing call that she had been cast on Netflix?s ?Stranger Things.? In an appearance on the ?Call Her Daddy? podcast, Brown said that her upbringing has had a profound effect on how she thinks about her finances.
?I have a money thing where I?m very conscious about money,? she said. ?When I do spend money on something, I have to call my parents, I have to think about it, I don?t just buy it right away.?
That?s not because money is in short supply. The ?Electric State? star was reportedly earning $10 million per film as early as 2019 and has a ?ridiculously lucrative? overall deal with Netflix, according to Puck.
But just because she has the money doesn?t mean she has champagne tastes. Compared to her husband Jake Bongiovi ? son of musician Jon Bon Jovi ? Brown said she is very thrifty.
?I?ll be like, ?Oh, I need socks,? and he?ll be like ?Let?s go to Prada,?? she said. ?And I?m like ?Let?s go to Target.??
?He loves to go shopping,? she continued. ?He will refuse to pack a suitcase because he likes to go shopping in the place we?re going. Whereas I like Amazon Basics. I love that.?
Indeed, when Brown wanted to make her first big purchase with her Netflix earnings, she said she needed her parents to encourage her to take the plunge and buy the Chanel sunglasses she had her eye on.
?Brown?s strategy of waiting before making a big purchase is in line with advice from experts. To curb impulse shopping, finance podcaster Glen James recommends employing something called the 1% rule: if you want to make a purchase that?s larger than 1% of your gross annual income, wait at least a day before purchasing it.
The 24-hour cool down period gives you time to sit with your decision and determine if you really want the item.

And I?m not at all surprised their respective financial backgrounds have stuck with them. Kids know their home money situation. My mother and aunt are seven years apart, and they?ve talked to each other a lot about how different each of their childhoods were based on changes in my grandparents? income. For my part, growing up I always took note of the postcard affixed to our refrigerator that said, ?Anyone who lives within his means suffers from a lack of imagination.? So I love it when people (especially women!) talk about money, and will definitely file away that practical tip about waiting a day on a purchase that?s 1% of my gross income. And I?ll pay it forward with a bit of advice that was transformative for me: if you can, try to put 10% of your paycheck into savings. It adds up!

We got several interesting headlines out of that book and Quinn?s promotion, like this story about the Princess of Wales treating Prince William ?like the fourth child because he?s prone to tantrums.? Again, this was 2023, when the royalist press was full of rumors of the Waleses? strained marriage. Quinn also said, at the time, that William and Kate ?do have rows. It?s not a perfect marriage. They have terrific rows. But, where some couples have a row and throw heavy vases at each other, William and Kate throw cushions at each other. It?s always kept under control.? This is like ?sure, they?re violent with each other, but they keep it POSH.? Anyway, Quinn wrote another book called Yes Ma?am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants. In it, he has returned to one of his favorite topics: William is a tantrum-prone child who is ?parented? by Kate.
Kate Middleton is said to be such a major influence on her husband Prince William that she treats him like her fourth child. The claim was made by royal author Tom Quinn, who has written a new book, Yes Ma?am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants. Quinn spoke to hundreds of former and current palace staff members to learn what it?s like to watch over the House of Windsor.
Occasionally, William has little tantrums and irritations if things aren?t done the way he wants them done [as heir to the British throne], Quinn claimed to Fox News Digital. But Kate is very good at managing that in the same way that she manages the tantrums of their three children ? Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. And so, there?s a joke among the staff that Kate treats William as the fourth because he occasionally behaves like one.
According to the book, a member of staff told Quinn, I don?t know where William would be without Kate ? she hasn?t had everything done for her throughout her life, so she calms him down when he gets a bit fractious. She says he sometimes has to be treated as her fourth child!
The insider claimed that Kate?s non-royal upbringing makes her easygoing to work with, and a favorite among staff, in comparison to William and his father. Suits must be pressed and laid out after a period of consultation the night before; shoes must be polished, ties chosen, a staff member claimed to Quinn in his book about looking after King Charles III and his heir. Baths must be run at precisely the same time each day and both King Charles and the Prince of Wales, Prince William, are prone to tantrums if things are not done to their liking.?
?They both get irritated very quickly,? a former member of staff claimed, adding that the king and his heir are used to having things done for them, making them very picky.
People who have everything done for them from childhood tend to be rather spoiled and prone to bouts of irritation because they have no idea how much work is involved in washing and ironing, polishing and sewing when they have never done any of it themselves, the aide claimed, as quoted in Quinn?s book.
In many ways, William has had an emotionally damaging childhood, Quinn explained to Fox News Digital. I don?t just mean because his mother, Princess Diana, died when he was 15, which is enormous in itself. Everyone could understand that that was very damaging to him.
But before that, the split between his parents was very public. All the unpleasantness between his parents was played out on the world stage. Meanwhile, he was looked after by paid staff. For much of that time, it created an adult in William who was very needy.?
?He loved spending time with Kate?s family because, unlike his, they were very warm, very close with each other, very emotionally aware. When Kate and William first got together, William tended to have tantrums if things didn?t go his way because he was still this emotionally needy child who grew up into an emotionally needy adult.
As far as those alleged temper tantrums, they?re less so now, Quinn claimed, thanks to Kate.

There?s been an insane amount of positioning in the trade papers, right-wing media and gossip media and I stopped caring it?s my hope that the eventual trial clears some things up, although Blake and Ryan Reynolds spent a good chunk of last week trying to get Baldoni?s lawsuits dismissed.
Meanwhile, I just want to be able to gossip about normal things re: Blake Lively. Like, remember her Preserve lifestyle business/site? Remember the ?Allure of Antebellum? editorial? Good times. I bring up Blake?s pro-Antebellum stance because it?s relevant to this interesting piece of gossip: Blake and Ryan are skipping this year?s Met Gala. TMZ, Us Weekly and People Magazine all got briefed on Blake and Ryan?s decision, which is weird, right? That they would make a point of telling multiple outlets that they would NOT attend this year?s Met Gala? I?m bringing this back to the pro-Antebellum stance because this year?s Met Gala theme is ?Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,? with Monica Miller?s book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity being used as the inspo/source material for the theme and exhibit. LeBron James, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, ASAP Rocky and Pharrell Williams are all co-chairs this year. So the couple who got married on a South Carolina plantation doesnt want to go to a Met Gala with such a Black theme, huh??
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will not be attending the 2025 Met Gala. An exclusive source confirmed the news to PEOPLE, sharing, Blake and Ryan haven?t gone since 2022, when they were co-chairs, and they will not be in attendance this year.
The theme of the 2025 Met Gala, which will be held on May 5, was previously revealed by Vogue as ?Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.? Per the outlet, the exhibit draws inspiration from Monica L. Miller?s 2009 book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity and will feature garments, paintings, photographs, and more ? all exploring the indelible style of Black men in the context of dandyism, from the 18th century through present day. Miller will serve as a guest curator for the show with Costume Institute Curator in Charge Andrew Bolton.
The 2022 Met Gala marked Livelys 10th appearance at the annual fashion event in New York City. That year, she and Reynolds, 48, served as co-chairs alongside Regina King and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

My personal take: I think there are a lot of people who want Justin to be upset or consumed with regret or deeply unhappy with Hailey. I think a lot of people don?t understand that this is probably the closest Justin will get to his happy ending: he?s married to someone he loves, someone who ?takes care of him? and handles his moods; he?s finally a father, something he?s always wanted; he feels no pressure to still be in the music industry rat-race of churning out albums and going on tours. And to top it all off, Hailey?s side-business (Rhode) is super-successful and she?s bringing in more money than him these days. Now, I?m sure they have problems and I?m sure everything isn?t a basket of roses. But there?s just so much projection on both of them and it does feel like people are constantly looking for ?signs? that his marriage sucks or he?s secretly unhappy.

Questions about Gwen Stefani?s politics have been percolating for a while, but in the past month, a lot of Gwen?s fans have now become convinced that she?s fully MAGA. Gwen has, in my opinion, always been more socially conservative and religious than her fans realize, and she also has a long history of problematic words and behavior around race. And yet? she used to be a huge Democrat and a huge Democratic donor and fundraiser. But things have changed these days, she?s reposting hyper-religious-wingnut content, she?s boosting Tucker Carlson interviews and she?s following right-wing nutjobs on social media. Well, now the Mail is running an exclusive about how Gwen has basically adopted Blake Shelton?s Republican politics and the music industry doesn?t know what to do with her anymore because her new music sucks and she?s turned off all of her loyal fans.
Gwen Stefani has become unrecognizable to her fans, friends and even her label which is now said to be considering dropping her after her alleged MAGA makeover. The No Doubt singer, 55, outraged her liberal fans last week when she publicly supported conservative political commentator Tucker Carlson, reposting one of his religious interviews. The move shocked her fans given her previous support for the Democratic party.
Now an insider has told the Daily Mail that Gwen appears to have gone MAGA and doesnt care if it alienates her fans. They alleged that the change in her political views could be attributed to her husband, country singer Blake Shelton, who previously praised Donald Trump.
After massively supporting Democrats for years ? she appears to have gone MAGA, the source explained. Some of this can be attributed to her marriage, as Blake is an infamous Republican. She shut out everyone for him. She doesn?t seem to care about her fans anymore and has shed her persona to become the unrecognizable opposite of what she once was. The Tucker Carson situation is not anything new, though. This is who she has become, the source continued. Gwen is not even trying to hide who she has become and this person is unrecognizable to her fans, friends and even her label.
She cannot sell albums anymore and with her new holier-than-thou campaign, it has really turned a lot of people off, said our source. After [teaming up with the Catholic] app, she released her last album Bouquet which was an absolute bomb. This has caused Interscope to consider dropping her which is a travesty considering she was once one of their top selling artists. But she has only herself to blame.
Gwens last album debuted at number 95 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart and sold only 13,000 copies in its first week. The Daily Mail has reached out to Gwen and Interscope for comment.

For what it?s worth, I listened to a little bit of Gwen?s last album and it was a trainwreck, it?s like she?s completely lost her innate understanding of the pop-music zeitgeist. I guess her old producers don?t want to work with her anymore either. I think that was why the album bombed, not ?fans were turned off by her politics? the music was just bad. In the musical sense, Gwen had a good run she was incredibly relevant for over two decades. She even had some hit songs with Blake in recent years. But yeah, this is her semi-retirement vibe: bad music, MAGA politics, being Blake?s perfect Republican wife, I guess.

Could you ever be a football WAG? There are some sports where WAGing seems fun or enjoyable I could be a tennis WAG, a basketball WAG and a swimming WAG. But football? But Taylor Swift isn?t at that point with Travis Kelce. While Taylor and Travis were taking a break after the Kansas City Chiefs got dog-walked at the Super Bowl, Taylor apparently encouraged Travis to go back to football for one more season.
Taylor Swift was a sounding board for Travis Kelce when he was deciding whether to retire from the NFL. Sources exclusively tell Page Six that the Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end ?definitely discussed? the life-changing topic ?as a couple.? We?re told Swift, 35, made it known she was definitely in favor of Kelce playing again.
?She didn?t want Travis to retire,? an insider says. ?She wanted him to go out on a high note.?
The Chiefs suffered a devastating loss against the Philadelphia Eagles on Super Bowl Sunday 2025, with a final score of 40-22 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Kelce said on an episode of ?New Heights? in February that the defeat was a ?tough pill to swallow,? adding, ?Just wasn?t our day. Couldn?t find a lick of momentum..I?m kicking myself for some of the tiny, tiny decisions I made on the field.?
Although Swift?s opinion on a potential retirement was taken into consideration, we?re told the final call was ultimately on Kelce, 35.
?He has to be able to physically do it,? an insider says, noting that it?s up to the athlete to feel confident that his body could play a full season again without putting himself at risk for injury. On Feb. 27, Kelce finally broke the news on Pat McAfee?s ESPN show that he would not be retiring yet. ?I?m coming back, for sure,? the Super Bowl champ, who has spent 12 years in the NFL, told the host via a text that was read aloud on the show at the time.
After Kelce finally decided to return to the Chiefs, we?re told Swift was ?happy [with his decision].?

I know every sport is different and pro athletes hold themselves to different standards, but ?She wanted him to go out on a high note? is fking brutal! That was a high note! Travis made it to the Super Bowl even though he had a really slow start to the season and the Chiefs had to win some really gritty games. He made it to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in his career and he already has three rings! The Chiefs were going for a hat trick, their third SB win in a row! What more does Taylor want from him, damn?? If he doesn?t win the Super Bowl next year, is she going to tell him to keep playing until he does? Good lord. I mean, granted, she probably knew that Travis wanted to go back anyway so she was just being supportive. But ?go out on a high note? really is a brutal comment, if any of this is true (its Page Six, so yeah).
