| Paris Hilton's pizza 'life hack' is wiping the grease right on the box: nope' | Added 118 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

There are some evergreen debates involving pizza. For example, is thin crust NY pizza is better than Chicago?s deep dish style? (I know you New Haven natives are all about your style, too!) Do you eat it folded or unfolded? Does pineapple have any business being a topping? Do you blot the grease off before eating it? On that last topic, one thing that I?ve never heard enter any great pizza debate is how you remove pizza grease. Using a napkin/paper towel or letting it drip off seem like straight-forward, universal methods to me. Well, Paris Hilton is here to introduce a new way to remove pizza grease: wiping it off on top of the box itself. She even posted a video of her doing just that to her TikTok. (You can watch that below.)
Paris Hilton just dropped a food take that?s decidedly not ?hot.?
In a TikTok video posted on Monday ? in which the heiress appears outdoors, bathed in sunlight and sparkle and surrounded by numerous pizza boxes ? she shares a ?life hack? that sits slightly outside the culinary norm.
As most know, pizza can be on the greasy side. While many opt for the classic napkin-blotting approach, Hilton takes a more unconventional route ? by blotting her pizza on the box itself.
?That?s my trick,? she says in the video while placing her slice directly on top of the box to absorb the excess grease.
?This is the content that people want,? someone can be heard saying in the background.
Some commenters praised Hilton?s ?ingenuity,? if not without a hint of sarcasm, declaring, ?Napkins are overrated.? Others were quick to defend traditional grease management, reminding her that napkins do, in fact, still exist.
After demonstrating her peculiar technique, the heiress broke into a celebratory shimmy, enjoying what one can only assume was a slightly less greasy slice of pizza.
Hilton wrote in the video?s caption, ?I?m full of #Sliving tips,? a nod to her signature quote that blends ?slaying? and ?living? (your best life) ? though a germaphobe may have some reservations about her methods.
[From HuffPo]
First things first: I have to say that this sure is some outside the box thinking! (I?ll see myself out in just a minute, thankyouverymuch.) Terrible jokes aside, I don?t even know what to say here. Actually, yes I do. That?s not hot at all. I mean, I get wiping it off. I actually do not mind pizza grease at all, but eating greasy pizza is a young person?s game. However, this is something that one of my kids would try doing because they were too lazy to get a napkin. I guess it?s a life hack if you don?t have a napkin, paper towel, or anything else handy, but you have no idea where that pizza box has been and whose germs are on it. Overall, this gets a whole lot of nope from me. Also, for the record, NY thin crust pizza is way better than deep dish any day of the week. I said what I said.

| Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps got teary remembering how they first met | Added 118 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
In our previous coverage of Michelle Williams and Busy Philipps (re)declaring their love for each other, I lamented that E! pulled the plug on Busy Tonight. Silly me, I was blanking on the fact that Busy has taken her talents where they?re appreciated, to QVC+, where she now hosts Busy This Week. (A name like ?Busy? all but begs to be a talk show host.) So naturally Busy had her bestie Michelle on, who?s still promoting Dying for Sex, the FX series that is itself a love letter to best friendships. (Sidenote: I always loved Michelle in the pixie haircut, but I gotta say she is really rocking the hot do of the season, the c-nty little bob.) In one clip from the episode, Michelle and Busy get teary as they recall meeting on the set of Dawson?s Creek. Busy had a profound moment of feeling truly seen, while Michelle had a sleeve of Fig Newtons in hand.
Busy Philipps and Michelle Williams clicked instantaneously on the Dawson?s Creek set.
In an exclusive sneak peek of Philipps? QVC+ late-night talk show, Busy This Week, the actresses recall how immediately they connected in North Carolina more than 25 years ago.
In the chat, Philipps, 45, confesses that she was nervous to join the hit series. Philipps joined during season 5 in 2001, as Joey?s (Katie Holmes) college roommate, and though she didn?t yet know Williams, they ?had heard of each other.?
?I had gotten added to the cast for the college years, and I remember being very, very nervous, and the first person I met was James [Van Der Beek],? Philipps recalls, before she notes that Williams, now 44, was crossing the street from a local market with a sleeve of Fig Newtons in hand at the time.
As the two reminisced over the specific detail of their meeting, Philipps quickly adds that she knew why she loved Williams ?immediately.?
?I?m gonna cry,? Philipps tearfully begins. ?Because I just felt like you got it. You just understood me.?
?I feel like ? oh no, I?m gonna cry ? my entire life I?ve always been like, misunderstood and prejudged by people,? she continues. ?And for whatever reason, you just instantly were like, ?I got you.??
Williams interjects to say, ?I loved you.?
?You really did,? Philipps says. ?That?s what it was,? Williams confirms.
?I really loved you, too,? Philipps adds. ?And the Fig Newtons in your hand, that was really nice.?
Philipps then confesses that they ?used to cry so much together.? Noting, ?But now you don?t let me cry as much, and you don?t cry as much. Do you want to tell them why??
?Because it?s the delicate under-eye area,? Williams cheekily replies, with Philipps adding, ?Because, you guys, under your eyes is a very delicate area and we can?t risk it.?
?I?ll tell you to stop,? Williams says before quoting herself, ??Don?t ruin the delicate under-eye area, it?s not worth it.??
[From People]
It?s fun to hear Michelle making the quip about protecting the ?delicate under-eye area,? given how she?s usually painted as the more serious one between the two. As for their retelling of that fateful meeting, People Mag didn?t excerpt the question Busy asks that starts off the whole conversation: ?Why do you think we had this instant connection when I showed up?? I bring this up because in watching the clip, I couldn?t help but notice how Busy asks the question? then pretty much answers it all herself. Michelle does very little of the talking! And I feel like the core question ? why they connected so strongly ? isn?t even really answered! Michelle just says, ?I loved you,? without any further explanation or context. Meanwhile Busy?s description of what she loved about Michelle, isn?t so much about Michelle as it is Busy, right? Don?t get me wrong, feeling seen and understood is very powerful. But I?m always fascinated when people give thanks or tributes to someone else, yet really end up talking about themselves instead. No question that the love between them is genuine and deep, but they are an odd couple! And Michelle agrees, as that?s the exact term she used to describe them in her recent Armchair Expert interview.
Another fun clip making the rounds is the pair talking about that crazy debacle at the 2017 Oscars, when La La Land was mistakenly announced Best Picture before producers stepped in to name the real winner, Moonlight. While everything was still awkward and unresolved, Busy apparently heckled Ben Affleck to ?Do Something!? Why? She thought he could fix it because he was Batman! Even funnier to me was Michelle dryly replying, ?He could not.?

| Jodie Foster: Young actors just want to act, they don't care about scripts or quality | Added 118 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Jodie Foster was in Cannes to premiere her latest starring role in Vie Prive, which screened out-of-competition. Jodie is fluent in French, and this film saw her acting and performing in French in a French production. Jodie has come back to acting in a bigger way in recent years, after largely taking a hiatus from Hollywood to raise her sons. But she loved this script, and she was especially chatty in Cannes. Some highlights from her Variety interview:
Doing a French movie, acting in French: ?I?ve been wanting to go back and do a French movie, because I haven?t done one in a long time. For me, it?s always about trying to find the right piece of material. I didn?t want to do some overblown American and French co-production. As an actor, I need a story. And a lot of French movies, which I love, are behavior films where you just sort of follow people around for three days or something. That?s not what I do. I?m interested in narrative? It is fun [to act in French]. Acting in French was helpful, because I?m a different person in French than I am in English. I have a more vulnerable way about me. I?m less confident, not as sure of myself, which I think is more fun.
She?s fascinated by young actors today: ?When I was a kid, I worked so much that by the time that I was 18, I needed to take a different approach. I see a lot of young actors, and I?m not saying I?m jealous, but I don?t understand how they just want to act. They don?t care if the movie?s bad. They don?t care if the dialogue is bad. They don?t care if they?re a grape in a Fruit of the Loom ad. If I never acted again, I wouldn?t really care. I really like to be a vessel for story or cinema. If I could do something else, if I was a writer or a painter or sculptor, that would be good too. But this is the only skill I have.
On Nicole Kidman pledging to work with so many female directors & actually doing it: ?Wait, what? [Foster bangs the side of the couch she?s sitting on]. That?s incredible. She?s always working! I?ve watched things change a lot. When I started acting, the only woman I ever saw on set was a makeup artist or script supervisor. Then I started seeing some more female technicians. But the last bastion has always been directors. When I decided to direct, I was lucky. The people that made decisions knew me, so they didn?t consider me a risk as a first-time director. But as an actor, before my last three projects, I only had made one movie with a woman director. That?s over 50 years.
Whether she would make a similar pledge to work with female directors: ?It?s hard for me to be in the business of saying, half my movies are going to be made by women or men or whatever. Shouldn?t it be a more instinctual choice? You would hope that you?d be interested in the human being. I mean, Jonathan Demme on ?Silence of the Lambs? was my favorite feminist director. That said, I think some sort of quota system is important when it comes to giving first-time filmmakers an opportunity. You need to start the process early so we all get the same opportunities.
What happened after she turned 60: ?Something happens at 60. There?s a hormone that gets injected in your body, and suddenly you?re like, ?Oh, I don?t care.? This all coincided with me getting really excited about helping to tell other people?s stories and to elevate voices that hadn?t been heard before. So with ?The Mauritanian,? I was in that movie so I could tell Tahar Rahim?s story, not my character?s story. With ?True Detective,? I wanted to engineer my part so it served the indigenous characters? story. I want to bring whatever wisdom or experience or money or status I have as an actor to help with that. I got to tell my story, it?s someone else?s turn. And that?s much more fun. Who knew being a part of a community was so much more rewarding than being the person that has to open the movie on 1,500 screens?
The IDGAF Era: ?My 50s were hard for me. It?s hard to embrace the transition. You feel like you?re a worse version of who you were. But something happened a few years ago. I woke up one day and was like, ?I don?t care about any of the things that I cared about before. I?m gonna go down a different path.? Your kids grow up, your parents pass away, maybe you get divorced. Those life changes are shattering. But there?s a freedom that comes with that. As painful as it is to lose this other identity of being a dutiful mother or daughter or wife, you can also be like, it?s just me now.?
[From Variety]
This is an amazing observation from an older actor: ?I see a lot of young actors, and I?m not saying I?m jealous, but I don?t understand how they just want to act. They don?t care if the movie?s bad. They don?t care if the dialogue is bad.? It?s true in the sense that a lot of actors especially non-nepo babies who have really struggled in the industry are just happy when they get a job, any job. They just want to book jobs and keep it moving. Jodie doesn?t get it because she was working with Martin Scorsese when she was 12 years old, you know? But I also think Jodie should acknowledge that a lot of the younger actors don?t care about quality anymore, and there?s been such a realignment where? the youths don?t give a sh-t about working with auteurs or finding great scripts. They don?t have the patience or the money to wait for a ?good? project.

| Kourtney Kardashian wonders why kids go to school: 'Truly. It's so dated' | Added 119 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Homeschooling is like the third-rail for so many education conversations. Let me just say? my mom was a public-school teacher, and that is a huge influence on my perspective on education and homeschooling. I think there are some legitimate reasons for some parents to homeschool, and there are some cases where homeschooling is probably the best option for certain kids. That being said, I do think there are too many homeschooled kids and too many utterly unqualified parents who homeschool their kids out of bigoted, ignorant and/or fundamentalist-Christian reasons. Well, speaking of, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian basically had the most ignorant conversation about their kids? education.
Kourtney Kardashian is not worried about raising bookworms. The ?Kardashians? star ? who shares kids Mason, 15, Penelope, 12, and Reign, 10, with ex Scott Disick and son Rocky, 1, with husband Travis Barker ? revealed that she believes sending children to school is ?so dated.?
?I think living authentically is not conforming to whatever it is,? Kourtney said on the latest episode of sister Khlo Kardashian?s ?Khlo in Wonder Land? podcast, which dropped Wednesday. ?There?s ways we function as a family that ? it?s like if someone does the same thing every day. Like I do it with everything, it?s not about our family?Like, let?s say the school system. I?ll think, ?Why do kids f?king go to school?? Truly. It?s so dated.?
Khlo, 40, interjected in agreement, saying, ?Oh, I?m such a homeschool person, so don?t even get me going.?
The Poosh founder then said her kids have sent her videos about ?successful people? whose kids never go to school.
?And then I?m like, ?What?s the goal here? You want to do homeschool? Let?s do it!? Or whatever it is. I think it?s anything,? she continued.
Kourtney also shared how she chooses to take care of her infant children when they get sick.
?I will, like, nurse the fever of my kids versus giving Tylenol or ibuprofen,? she confessed. ?I just want to do that. And whatever it is, there?s so many things like that where I feel like I kinda do, maybe in the world generally does maybe more what I do, but in the United States [it?s different].?
[From Page Six]
It really is two dumb bitches telling each other ?exactlyyyy.? And not for nothing, but Kourtney sounds like an anti-vaxxer. She sounds like one of those ?natural? granola-types who preach ?do your own research,? meanwhile their kids can?t even read. The point of sending you kids to school is not only ?educating the future workforce and creating responsible young citizens,? but it?s also about socialization and simply experiencing life beyond your family. These are fundamental concepts which no one should have to explain to a nearly 50-year-old woman with three children! ?What is the point of school? OH MY GOD.

| Kim Kardashian graduated from her law-study program after six years | Added 119 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In recent weeks, there?s been a lot of focus on Kim Kardashian?s nascent acting career, as she?s the lead in Ryan Murphy?s latest show, All?s Fair, and she weirdly keeps booking acting jobs. Whenever I saw any kind of update about Kim?s acting career, I always thought ?but what about law school??? Six years ago, Kim announced that she was studying law and doing a makeshift, DIY law school program. We hadn?t gotten an update on her law studies in a while, and I genuinely thought we would eventually get an announcement like ?it was too hard, I give up.? But no Kim has now graduated.
Kim Kardashian has a big reason to celebrate! On Wednesday, May 21, the reality star, 44, revealed she had graduated from her four-year Law Office Study Program in a series of videos shared to her Instagram Stories. The program took Kim six years, instead of four years, to complete due to COVID and work, PEOPLE has learned.
Kim gave fans a glimpse into what appeared to be a backyard graduation ceremony, as her closest friends and family gathered to celebrate the milestone in her legal journey.
I finally graduated law school after six years!!! she wrote over a video of her putting on a graduation cap on stage as speakers congratulated her for her achievements.
Its an absolute honor to stand here today, not just as mentors, but as witnesses to one of the most inspiring legal journeys weve ever seen, Jessica Jackson, one of the attorneys sponsoring Kims education said on stage. Six years ago, Kim Kardashian walked into this program with nothing but a fierce desire to fight for justice. No law school lectures, no ivory tower shortcuts, just determination and a mountain of case log books to read.
Over the course of this program, Kim has dedicated 18 hours a week, 48 weeks a year for six straight years, Jackson continued. Thats a total of 5,184 hours of legal study, thats time she carved out while raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows and showing up in courtrooms to advocate for others.
In a subsequent slide, Kim hugged her mentors as she walked on stage with a certificate of completion in hand. The crowd cheered when she held up the piece of paper and her children could be seen celebrating with her on stage.
CNN political commentator and friend Van Jones also gave a speech in Kims honor, celebrating her accomplishments along the six-year journey.
Kims backyard ceremony was an occasion for the entire family. In addition to her kids, her sisters Khlo Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian Barker were also in attendance and shared how proud they were of all of her achievements.
[From People]
I?m really interested in the wording around Kim?s graduation and whether or not she actually received a degree or a JD People Mag calls it a ?certificate of completion? and they?re not saying she graduated from law school, but she graduated from a ?Law Office Study Program.? I googled this it sounds like the LOS is considered the equivalent of a JD so does she technically have a JD now? Anyway, congrats to Kim, I really did not think she would stick with the program and complete the program. I genuinely find it inspirational when people go back to school or seek new degrees later in their lives. Be real Kim did not have to do any of this, and her fans would not have judged her if she had given up. I?m sure her father be so proud of her.

Elle Fanning is such a doll! Elle turned up in Cannes to attend the premiere of Sentimental Value. Elle did a Scandi movie! She?s playing an American actress in the film-within-a-film about a dysfunctional Norwegian family. Renate Reinsve is actually the lead, I?m pretty sure you might remember Renate from her absolutely incredible performance in The Worst Person In the World (Sentimental Value sees Renate reteaming with that same director, Joachim Trier). Anyway, it appears that Elle and Renate got along famously when they first saw each other on the red carpet, they practically ran into each other?s arms. Elle is such a girl?s girl!! Elle wore a beautiful Armani Prive gown, and I think Renate?s gown is Louis Vuitton. Apparently, the Cannes audience loved this film & the audience gave them a 15-minute ovation.

Over Christmas, I finally watched the first season of And Just Like That, the decades-later spinoff of Sex and the City. The first season is SO BAD! Really ghastly stuff, with terrible pacing issues and basically no humor. I could totally see how the SATC team wanted this to be a feature film, but then they spun it out into ten agonizing episodes once Kim Cattrall exited that bitch. Well, there?s a second season which I have not watched (and I am unlikely to give it a shot), and the third season will premiere on HBO/Max next week. These are photos from the big premiere event in NYC last night.
Sometimes I get really mad at how Sarah Jessica Parker turned SATC into an exercise in narcissism, centering Carrie?s toxic behavior at the expense of larger storytelling and realistic arcs for the other characters. SJP chose a subdued Vivienne Westwood gown for last night?s premiere. There are so many major Westwood moments in the show, so I get why she chose a Westwood look. Her hair? the color is actually really good right now, but I don?t get her hairstyle.
Other fashion notes: Kristin David wore Rachel Gilbert (a perfect Charlotte dress, honestly) and Cynthia Nixon wore a big Richard Quinn gown. I really like Cynthia?s look! She?s now doing AJLT and The Gilded Age at the same time. Baller. Also: Nicola Ari Parker wore Stella McCartney! I don?t have an ID on Sarita Choudhury but I like her look. Sarita has the most underwritten, underdeveloped character on AJLT. It pissed me off so much.

Last night, Scarlett Johansson premiered her directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, at the Cannes Film Festival. Scarlett directed June Squibb and Erin Kellyman, and they were both there for the premiere. Scarlett?s husband Colin Jost also came out for the premiere. Let?s talk about Colin?s fashion first Colin seems to do a lot of chest and arm work, which is great, but that means he looks sort of foolish wearing a slim-cut double-breasted suit or tuxedo? He should either go with a slim-cut single-breasted suit (if his goal is showing off his chest and arms) or go with a boxy double-breasted jacket. As for Scarlett, she wore a custom Prada in a pale blue. As I went through the photos, I looked at all of the angles of the gown it really is tailored beautifully for Scarlett?s figure. Her red lipstick pops too.
Jodie Foster skipped her usual Armani and went with Loewe to the ?Vie Prive? premiere. I?m not a fan of any of it??
Georgina Chapman and Adrien Brody were out in Cannes last night as well. I?m still mad that he won his second Oscar, and I?m still mad about his long-ass speech. Georgina wore an archive Marchesa? remember when half the girls at any award show wore dresses like this? It?s giving me nostalgia.
Eva Herzigova wore one of the funniest looks of the festival this is Balenciaga. I?m calling it the ?boob bell dress.?

| Gwyneth Paltrow has a 'text friendship' with Duchess Meghan at the moment | Added 120 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
In my opinion, Gwyneth Paltrow?s original intention towards the Duchess of Sussex was some light mockery and posh hazing. I still believe that Gwyneth looked down her nose at Meghan and Meghan?s lifestyle business and cooking show, and Gwyneth intended to leave some breadcrumbs publicly about her feelings. Gwyneth watched as those breadcrumbs were picked up and turned into a massive narrative in the British tabloids. It was all getting beyond her control. Which is why Gwyneth quashed the beef thoroughly by inviting Meghan over to her house and filming a funny little IG video with her. As many pointed out if only the Windsors had dealt with the situation similarly. As in, the Windsors tried to haze Meghan, it got out of control, and they should have backed down immediately and said: no, wait, that?s not what I meant at all, she?s under my protection, y?all took it too far. Anyway, Gwyneth was asked about Meghan over the weekend:
Gwyneth Paltrow has got a friend in Meghan Markle! In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the Mindvalley Manifesting Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 17, the actress, 52, spoke about her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, 43.
Explaining that she and Meghan have not yet spent a lot of time together in person, Paltrow said, We have a text friendship so far. Ive been traveling quite a bit.
Then, referring to rumors that circulated online surrounding beef between herself and Meghan, the Oscar winner said, I dont like that, when people try to pit women against each other.
And when asked about her thoughts on appearing on season 2 of Meghans Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, Paltrow admitted: Sure! Why not? You never know. I dont bake that well, but I can always try.
[From People]
?I don?t bake that well? is so shady, my god. That?s Gwyneth?s version of ?I didn?t watch her little show but I wish her well.? Meghan barely baked on WLM! I would honestly love to see Gwyneth on WLM though Gwyneth has done cookbooks and she?s ?cooked? on camera before, but I feel like it would be fascinating to watch Gwyneth and Meghan interact with food in a kitchen.

| Denzel Washington got into it with a handsy paparazzo at the Cannes film festival | Added 120 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This week is Denzel Washington?s first time at the Cannes Film Festival in over three decades. Which is wild to think about while Denzel has made plenty of studio films, films which don?t have to go through the festival circuit, he?s also made plenty of smaller-budget films, art house films with auteurs. You would have thought that Denzel would have been a regular at Cannes, but not so much. The festival was incredibly pleased to see him, and festival organizers apparently made some adjustments to their schedule to accommodate Denzel, who was basically just in town for a whirlwind 24 hours (his one day off from Othello on Broadway). The festival also had a huge surprise for Denzel ahead of the out-of-competition screening of Spike Lee?s Highest 2 Lowest. Denzel was awarded an honorary Palme d?Or.
Denzel Washington was surprised at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday night with an honorary Palme d?Or, a career achievement acknowledgement that has been presented only 21 previous times. Ahead of an out-of-competition screening of his latest film, Spike Lee?s Highest 2 Lowest, fest director Thierry Frmaux surprised the Oscar winner with the honor. Lee presented Washington with the honor after an introduction from Frmaux. The presentation saw Washington receive a huge standing ovation.
?This is a total surprise for me, so I?m emotional. It?s a great opportunity to collaborate with my brother once again, brother from another mother, and to be here once again in Cannes,? Washington said in part, after Lee previously referred to Washington as his brother and expressed his love for . ?We?re a very privileged group in this room that we get to make movies and wear tuxedos and nice clothes and dress up and get paid for it as well. We?re just blessed beyond measure. I?m blessed beyond measure. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all.?
[From THR]
I?m including some of the videos below Denzel genuinely seemed surprised and moved with the award. Spike was in on it! This honorary Palme d?Or comes in the same year that Denzel was snubbed for an Oscar nomination for Gladiator II AND snubbed for a Tony Award nomination for Othello. It definitely makes me wonder if other festivals and awards shows are prepared to start giving Denzel all of the honorary lifetime achievement awards now. Well? he already has the Cecil B. DeMille Award and an AFI tribute, but he?s never won one of the honorary Oscars or SAG Lifetime Achievement. He?s never been nominated for a BAFTA either, but he has an honorary BAFTA.
Something else happened in Cannes with Denzel he got into it with a photographer on the carpet. I think one of the photographers grabbed Denzel?s jacket and pulled at him, and he went over and got in the guy?s face. The same guy then tried to grab Denzel?s arm and Denzel took care of the situation. That?s my interpretation of what happened.
