| Renee Zellweger & Hugh Grant signed up for a fourth 'Bridget Jones' movie | Added 7 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

The first Bridget Jones film, Bridget Jones?s Diary, is so good. It?s everything you want from a romantic comedy it?s genuinely funny, it?s comforting, it?s delightfully weird in some places, and it has an extremely likable heroine and a very good Mr. Darcy. The second film Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was not particularly good but still somewhat enjoyable, and they mostly kept to the source material (Helen Fielding?s second book). The wheels well and truly came off for the third film, Bridget Jones?s Baby, in which Bridget tried to choose between Patrick Dempsey and Colin Firth? all while she was close to 50 years old and pregnant. It was a complete mess and it should have killed the franchise. I thought it did! And then we started hearing rumors about a fourth Bridget Jones movie in the works. Well, it turns out that Renee Zellweger is still interested in milking this dead-and-buried franchise, because she?s officially signed on. It will be an adaptation of Fielding?s Mad About the Boy.
Rene Zellweger (Judy) has closed a deal to reprise the role that brought her her first Oscar nomination in Universal Pictures and Working Title?s Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, Deadline has learned.
Others set to return in the film, from director Michael Morris (To Leslie), include Hugh Grant (Wonka) and Emma Thompson (Good Luck to You, Leo Grande). Newcomers to the cast will include Chiwetel Ejiofor (Rob Peace) and Leo Woodall (The White Lotus).
Based on the third book in Fielding?s series, Mad About the Boy picks up with Bridget in her early fifties, as she navigates the challenges of modern life while juggling the responsibilities of motherhood. No word yet as to who Ejiofor and Woodall will be playing.
[From Deadline]
I?m sad to report that I have read Mad About the Boy and I think I know which characters Leo Woodall and Chiwetel Ejiofor are playing. While it will be cute to see Chiwetel as a traditional romantic lead, I wish it was not in a Bridget Jones movie! My God. Leo is definitely being cast as the much-younger man she dates for a few months, right?
Major Spoilers: if we?re going with the Bridget Jones Cinematic Universe, I would assume that Mark Darcy and Bridget get married after she gives birth to their son (at the end of Bridget Jones?s Baby) and then the fourth film will pick up using Mad About the Boy as the source material the book picks up about a year or two after Mark Darcy?s death. That?s why Colin Firth isn?t ?returning? to the franchise because Helen Fielding killed him off in the book, which is all about Bridget getting back into the dating scene (and as always, losing weight) as a widowed single mother.

| Tori Spelling says she didn't sleep in the same bed as Dean McDermott for three years | Added 8 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last week, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott finally pulled the plug on their 18-year marriage. Dean and Tori have been threatening to get a divorce for probably a decade at this point, but hadnt gone through with it because neither of them had the money to do so. Tori?s been spilling some lukewarm tea about their breakup over on her podcast, misSPELLING. During last week?s episode, she revealed deets about the fight that finally broke their marriage. This week, she elaborated more, revealing that she angrily threw a loaded baked potato and stomped off into the room she shares with her kids. Tori and Dean have five children: Liam, 17, Stella, 15, Hattie, 12, Finn, 11, and Beau, seven. During the story, she dropped the tidbit that she and Dean also haven?t slept in the same bedroom in three years. And it?s not because they like their space. It?s because they didn?t like each other.
Tori Spelling is offering more insight into the state of her marriage to Dean McDermott prior to their split. On Mondays episode of Spellings misSPELLING podcast, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star finished detailing her story of the June 2023 fight between the exes.
In last weeks episode, Spelling shared the comment McDermott made that led to their split, revealing, He said, Ugh, Im so sick of this. I have been picking up Tori Spellings s**t for 18 years. And I f**king lost it.
In part 2 of the episode, Spelling talked about the aftermath of that comment, in which she threw her loaded baked potato on the ground and stormed into our bedroom.
She went on to clarify the our she was referencing.
Me and the kids because Dean and I didnt sleep together for three years, different bedrooms. His choice, she shared.
Spelling said that McDermott had previously claimed they didnt share a bed because there was a pig in there, but she denied this claim, saying a baby pig slept in their bed one night per the vets recommendation in 2017.
I was following orders. It was used to snuggling and it needed that for a few nights, she explained. But when it peed between us, he was like, The pigs leaving the bed. And I was like, Understood. And that was it. That was the only night the pig was in the bed.
The mother of five insisted, The animals and kids didnt come between us in the bed.
She added that another excuse her ex made for not sleeping in their bed with her was because she slept with the TV on.
I had the TV on for distraction to distract my life, just to zone out and be entertained, she said, later adding, I dont even sleep with the TV on anymore, isnt that ironic?
[From ET Online]
There is soooo much to unpack here. Tori has revealed before that she shares a bedroom with four of her five kids, which?okay. There is probably something to unpack there, but what I really want to talk about is Tori sleeping and cuddling WITH A PIG! That would be a deal breaker for me too! And it peed in the bed with them?! Gross. The animals and kids didnt come between us in the bed.? It kinda sounds like they did in some way, shape, or form, at least from Dean?s perspective. I did laugh at her confession that she threw the loaded baked potato, though. Is that going to be this year?s ?throwing ketchup?? I hope those two really are done with each other because it?s pretty clear that they were wrong for one another from the sordid, dramatic start.

| Zendaya wore three Louis Vuitton ensembles for her Paris 'Challengers' promo | Added 9 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Zendaya had so much fun on the Dune 2 promotional tour in February and March, and the tour sort of overshadowed a lot of awards season stuff too. Now, weeks later, she?s on yet another tour, this one for Challengers. You know she?s tired. I bet her stylist Law Roach is tired too. Which might explain why there?s sort of a low-energy, going-through-the-motions vibe to this. I?m not saying Zendaya looks bad or over it, but there?s just a vein of exhaustion running through this tour. Keep in mind, before the SAG-AFTRA strike, both Challengers and Dune 2 were supposed to be released last fall/winter.
Anyway, these are photos from Saturday in Paris. They did two photocalls (one indoor, one outdoor) and a premiere. The Parisian color palette was chartreuse, celadon and white, and Zendaya wore Louis Vuitton for all of her appearances. She?s the latest house ambassador for LV, although her contract doesn?t seem to be exclusive (she wore many different designers during the Dune 2 promo).
So, thoughts on all of the LV looks, plus Zendaya?s newly lightened hair? She?s been going lighter in recent weeks, but she?s pretty much blonde now. The combination of the blonde hair, the somewhat ?prim? Louis Vuitton looks and the fact that she?s promoting a tennis movie? I think they?re trying to make her look like a cute heiress who spends half the time at the tennis club. I think my favorite look is the ?pajama suit? in chartreuse those are some of the best LV pants I?ve ever seen. My least favorite look is the premiere gown?the weird ?belt? and the princessy styling, it?s a big ?eh? to me.

| Sacha Baron Cohen & Isla Fisher are divorcing after 14 years of marriage | Added 10 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

One of the first big gossip stories to come out of Rebel Wilson?s memoir and promotion was that she accused Sacha Baron Cohen of being rude, unpleasant and perhaps even abusive to her. She said that he had spent years trying to intimidate her into staying silent, but she was now naming him as a massive ahole. Cohen suddenly got his lawyers involved and they?ve been threatening Rebel and issuing statements and more. I actually believed Rebel?s story about Cohen and I found it interesting that she seemingly no longer fears him. I don?t think many people fear him anymore. Speaking of, less than two weeks after Rebel named him, Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher announced their divorce. It feels related, even though they state that they jointly filed for divorce in 2023.
Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have called it quits.
After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down. In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage, they said in statements shared on their Instagram Stories on April 5.
We have always prioritized our privacy, and have been quietly working through this change, they added. We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family?s wish for privacy.
Fisher, 48, and Baron Cohen, 52, married on March 15, 2010, and they share three children.
Baron Cohen and Fisher first met back in 2001 at a party in Sydney, Australia, well before they gained fame for their hit movies, 2006?s Borat and 2005s Wedding Crashers, respectively.
She was hilarious. We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people in the party, Baron Cohen recalled of their first meeting in a 2020 interview with The New York Times. I knew instantly. I dont know if she did.
The pair went on to get engaged in 2004, and welcomed their first child three years later.
[From People]
I don?t think I?ve ever seen any of their children, and I didn?t realize they have three kids (I thought they maybe had two). They apparently have two daughters and a son, between the ages of eight and sixteen, I think. According to People Magazine?s sources, they?ve been working out their divorce since last summer, although this was not the first time they consulted with divorce lawyers and they?ve had problems for years. Which I believe it feels like SBC is probably a very difficult man to live with or be married to, to put it mildly. Anyway, they were clearly having big problems for a while, so why announce the divorce right after Rebel?s thing? Hm.

| Matt Damon had a crazy dream after his dad died: 'all I knew was that he was there' | Added 13 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Get in bitches, we?re doing another paranormal story! As you may remember, I love all of that kind of stuff: ghosts, premonitions, spirits, intuition, aliens, synchronicities, etc. It?s been a hot minute since we?ve talked about this particular topic, but today?s edition of Rosie?s Paranormal Posts involves dreams! More specifically, we have Matt Damon?s dream from the afterlife. Matt?s father, Kent, died a little over five years ago, in December 2017. Earlier this week, Matt was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and shared a story about a ?crazy dream? he had after his dad passed away. The dream was so powerful that it helped him connect with one of the ?very first things? he felt when he entered this world.
After my father passed away in 2017, within that year, I had this crazy dream, said Damon after being asked about his earliest memory. He came to me in a dream, and he embraced me. And the feeling that I got was the feeling that I had ? which I think is like my first memory ? which was the feeling of what it felt like to be held by him.
Damon said the feeling gave him a sense of overwhelming protection and love.
All I knew was that he was there and that I was feeling that embrace, continued Matt. And it reminded me that I must have felt that as one of the very first things that I was aware of as my consciousness came online.
On the first anniversary of his fathers death, Damon hosted Saturday Night Live and opened up about how it was a special show for him and Kent.
Week after week, I tried to stay up, and it wasn?t until I was 8 years old that I made it all the way to the end,? recalled Damon. ?I probably didn?t get all the jokes, but I laughed at everything that my dad laughed at. And although it was way past our bedtime, my dad knew there was nothing more important in the world than to laugh with the people that you love.?
[From People]
Wow, that?s a pretty powerful experience. It?s so hard after a loved one dies, so to have a dream like that, whether it was really from his father or not, must have been a tremendous comfort. I also have a personal story about a dream from the afterlife. Actually, this story happened to my mom and grandma. About a year or so after my grandfather died, my mom had a dream that he was back at my grandparents? house, walking around and talking to her. She knew while dreaming that hed passed away IRL, so she asked him what he was doing there. He replied, ?I?m just here for a visit to check on things.? When my mom spoke to my grandma the next day, the very first thing Grandma said to her was, ?Your father was here ?for a visit? last night. I heard him walking around. He kept me awake.? She said this before my mom even had a chance to tell her about the dream. So yeah, I believe that Matt?s experience was real. It?s nice that he got to have that bit of comfort and closure.

| Zooey Deschanel, daughter of a six-time Oscar nominee, claims she's not a nepo baby | Added 15 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
Zooey Deschanel and her sister Emily Deschanel are both very successful actresses. Emily was the star and producer of Bones for twelve seasons, while Zooey was an indie-darling-turned-TV-star, and she?s currently moving between TV and film, plus she?s engaged to one of the Property Brothers. Before Emily and Zooey were making their big breaks as actresses, the ?Deschanel? name was already well-known in Hollywood. Their father, Caleb Deschanel, is a well-respected cinematographer and director of photography, and his CV goes back to the 1970s. Caleb Deschanel has worked with directors like Hal Ashby, Barry Levinson, William Friedkin, Richard Sheridan and on and on. He?s been nominated for six Oscars. He?s a big deal! But according to Zooey, being the daughter of a six-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer father does not equal ?nepotism.?
Zooey Deschanel has denied that her six-time Oscar nominee father and actor mother made it easier for her to enter the film and TV industry. The New Girl star has been branded a ?nepo baby? in recent times ? a term referring to beneficiaries of ?nepotism? and given to celebrities with family connections allowing them exclusive access to rare opportunities.
Deschanel?s father is Caleb Deschanel, a cinematographer who has worked on movies including The Lion King, The Patriot, My Sister?s Keeper and The Passion of Christ. He also has credits on other classics including The Godfather and Titanic. He has been nominated for best cinematography at the Academy Awards six times for his work on The Right Stuff, The Natural, Fly Away Home, The Patriot, The Passion of the Christ, and Never Look Away. Meanwhile, the Elf star?s mother is Twin Peaks actor Mary Jo Deschanel (formerly Weir), and her sister is Bones and Spider-Man 2 star Emily Deschanel. Zooey denied that her family made it easier for her to become an actor, in an interview with Lewis Howes on The School of Greatness podcast.
?It?s funny because people be like, ?Oh, nepotism?, I?m like no. My dad?s a DP [director of photography, another term for cinematographer]. No one?s getting jobs because their dad?s a DP. It?s definitely not.?
However, she acknowledged that she received some ?creative? help. ?My mum is an actor and my dad is a cinematographer and a director. I can?t possibly emphasise enough how much creative help I had from my family unit. My dad is a great creative mind and such a talented person. My mum is a great actor and is so nurturing. My mum would coach me when I didn?t have an acting coach, she would help me, read lines with me. She?d be so supportive. I would have so many great discussions about film and filmmaking with my dad. They both would help me. My dad would also read lines with me and give direction. Then having a sister whose an actor. It just makes you automatically have a community, and how much our communities help us ? whether its our families or our found communities.?
[From The Independent]
I just? why can?t anyone just admit it and acknowledge their privilege?? Why do we have to go through this every single time?? It brings up something else I?ve been wondering, which is: do these people not understand the concept of nepotism? It feels like these idiot nepo babies think nepotism is specifically ?my mother called the director and got me this role.? While that is definitely nepotism, it?s more than that it?s having a famous name, having an inside track within the industry, having a well-connected father who has worked alongside some of the best directors in the industry for decades. It?s stepping inside the casting office and the casting director saying ?Oh, ?Deschanel,? is your father Caleb, and are you Emily?s sister?? At the same time she?s like ?no, I?m not a nepo baby,? she?s literally describing all of the privileges she had growing up in a creative, well-connected Hollywood family!

| Sydney Sweeney on horror films: 'You?re just having fun, it's not a movie for the Oscars' | Added 19 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Some of you claim that Sydney Sweeney is a charisma vacuum, but I kind of like her? She gives good interviews, she plays the game, she?s cute and sexy and she?s worked hard for everything she has. She?s not a nepo-baby, she?s a hustler (positive). Sydney is currently promoting the horror film Immaculate, where she plays a young nun who joins an Italian convent and sh-t gets wacky and probably sacreligious too. Sydney is the executive producer on Immaculate, just as she produced Anyone But You, the surprise sleeper rom-com hit. Shifting into producing while still just taking regular old acting gigs is such a smart play for her. She recently chatted with Variety about all of this and more:
Producing & acting in ?Immaculate?: ?There?s videos and pictures of me standing in video village, helping set up other shots, holding the script and switching some things around, all drenched in blood. I felt like a kid at a playground ? endless imagination, and I felt so in control. Mike [Mohan], I?ve worked with him three times, and it?s just a dream, because he values my opinion and lets me take such charge.?
Doing a film about pregnancy/parthenogenesis in a moment when reproductive rights are being curtailed: ?So the script has been around for 10 years ? I auditioned for it when I was 16. And it was a very different draft. I called the writer, Andrew Lobel, and got the clean, original draft, then reworked it to fit who I am today, keeping a lot of the same themes and storylines. And one of the biggest ones that carried over was something innately in the project that, sadly, is still a topic of discussion today. What?s so cool is that there are so many different themes and points of conversation for people to draw their own conclusions or assumptions. That?s what I love ? when a film doesn?t try to drive one message into an audience?s mind and tell them, This is what you need to believe. I love when a film has a variation of ideas and concepts and allows people to conclude their own opinion.?
She always want to do a straight horror film: ?Being in the horror genre is fun, because in that genre, there?s no limitations or boundaries. I always find it so funny when people pick apart a horror film?s rules, or its storytelling. I?m like, It?s a horror film. You?re just having fun. It?s not a movie for the Oscars; you know that going into it. We want to create something good, but it?s fun having characters that can go to such extreme, absurd places, and people don?t question it.?
It?s important to her that her films get theatrical releases: ?I love the entire experience of going to a theater. I love getting your popcorn and your candy, having your group of friends. And I also like that you have to put away your phone. You have to actually live in the moment and live in that world. We are all subjected to watching stuff on our computers or our TV, and we can do multiple things at the same time without really immersing ourselves into this world, letting the outside world shut off. That?s what I love about storytelling is being able to create a new world. Being able to bring people into a theater is to let them shut off the outside world for 90 minutes. It?s fun. It?s exciting. Get off the couch.
The box office success of Anyone But You: ?I get chills just talking about it. We are all so beyond grateful and ecstatic that it has been loved to the degree that it has been loved. Seeing people shut off the outside world and feel all the emotions we wanted them to feel while we were making it, then leave the theater singing and dancing and wanting to fall in love ? that is what the movie theatergoing experience is supposed to ignite inside you.
Whether a man with her CV would get more recognition: ?There?s way more actresses in the pool in this industry than there are actors, so you have a higher rate of competition. But as a male, it?s much easier to do one movie that does really well, and then you can get offered any film that you want. And me, I?m still getting ?Can she act?? accusations. Go watch ?Reality,? ?White Lotus,? ?Euphoria,? ?Sharp Objects,? ?Handmaid?s Tale? ? but, OK, I?ll keep trying to prove myself, and hope that one day I can get cast with an amazing director and have a film that people recognize.
Being an actress-for-hire on Madame Web: ?I want to be as involved in the process for any project moving forward that I possibly can. I love being in the room to be able to problem-solve, and come up with ideas. It?s so important to have multiple people at the table instead of just one ? everybody who can be collaborative and truly help build a project. It takes everybody. On ?Madame Web,? it was so hard not being able to be as involved as I love being. And I felt very free with ?Anyone But You? and ?Immaculate? being able to have that.
[From Variety]
I like that she?s putting her work front and center Variety tried to get her to talk about her body and how (basically) her boobs are going viral every week, and she just kind of shimmied out of the conversation, saying that people don?t see her as real and that she?s still doesn?t know how to feel about it. But again, it?s about the work for her, and it?s so cool that this young woman (she?s only 26) is already executive producing hit movies and she?s so involved with the business side. She?s also right about her CV a man would be handed a superhero franchise with half of her CV.

| Kristen Stewart cried watching the 'I?m Just Ken' performance at the Oscars | Added 19 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
In today?s edition of ?Celebrities Are Just Like Us,? we have Kristen Stewart! It turns out that K-Stew is a huge fan of Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie?s Barbie. She?s such a big fan that she?s even labeled herself ?obsessed? and a ?super-duper fan.? I love that so much! During an interview on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, which was recorded the day after the Oscar ceremony, Kristen got even more relatable when she talked about watching ?I?m Just Ken? from her couch at home. Just like most of us, she laughed and cried, thinking about the magnitude of Greta?s creation.
She loved this year?s Oscars: Oscars were incredible last night, said Stewart, who earned a Best Actress nomination in 2022 for Spencer. Best theyve been in years, I feel. Dont you think it was just a good show?
She got so emotional, baby: I was, for some reason, crying and laughing while watching the Ken thing. Its emotional, dude, watching Greta watch it. When they did the one cutaway of her and she was just, like, front-row belting and looking at the thing she helped kickstart.
Barbie?s biggest fan?: Stewart said shes obsessed with and a super-duper fan of Barbie, which starred Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon and more. The actress said, though, she did not have Barbie dolls growing up, instead opting for the Weird Barbie-type toys.
Is Marvel in her future?: Elsewhere in the podcast interview, Stewart addressed whether she would star in a Marvel superhero movie. The Twilight alum said shes a yes man and wouldnt say no, though the idea seems unlikely to her. It sounds like a fing nightmare, actually, Stewart said with a laugh.
Her thoughts on blockbuster superhero movies: I like big movies because I like people to watch them when Im in them. The system would have to change. What ends up happening is this algorithmic, weird experience where you cant feel personal at all about it.
She?d do it for Greta: But maybe the world changes, said Stewart, adding, If Greta Gerwig asked me to do a Marvel movie, then I would do it.
[From People]
I wonder if Kristen also re-watches ?Im Just Ken? on YouTube like us normies do, haha. I don?t watch it daily anymore but since it?s right at the top of my search history, I click on it every couple of days because it really does make me smile. I watched Barbie with my kids last week, too. They asked a lot of good questions about it and now my older son sings ?I?m Just Ken? and ?What Was I Made For?? all of the time, lol.
Anyway, It doesn?t surprise me at all that Kristen had a Weird Barbie growing up. I?d honestly be disappointed if she didn?t. I also love that she stans Greta so hard, too. Can you imagine a collaboration between the two of them? It would have to be more of an independent, artsy-type film, right? I also suspect that Greta is high on many peoples list of directors to work with now. A lot of people, myself included, are going to be watching to see what she does next.

As someone who will be seated for multiple viewings of Challengers, I?m not pleased by how little energy Mike Faist and Josh O?Connor are bringing to the promotion. These photos are from the first premiere event for Challengers, which was held this week in Sydney, Australia. Zendaya flew her ass to Australia for this?? And Josh and Mike can?t even bring some drama or chemistry to the photos??
Zendaya?s green ?tennis dress? in these photos is from Loewe and I?m surprised that it?s so? straight-forward and themed. People are in love with this dress and I just find it kind of obvious. I mean, it?s flattering and sexy, but I hope Zendaya and Law Roach play around a little bit more with her promotional styling for this film. Josh is also involved with Loewe (he?s modeled for them) so I hope he gets some interesting looks for the tour as well. People are also talking about Zendaya?s newly lightened hair. It looks good? I like that she didn?t go too light.
One cool thing about Zendaya?s Challengers promotion is that she?s been showing up to big tennis tournaments for much of the past two years. I think she?s become a legitimate fan of the sport. She was just in Indian Wells last weekend for the men?s and women?s finals there, and she posed with Iga Swiatek after she won the women?s title.
Josh and Mike really saved all of their flirty energy for the screen and nothing more!

| Princess Kate's 'close friends & confidants were unaware' of her diagnosis | Added 21 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
Something few people are discussing at the moment: who knew about the Princess of Wales?s cancer diagnosis and when did they know? While some of Kensington Palace?s months of fiascoes can be explained in retrospect with Kate?s cancer diagnosis, that doesn?t change the fact that KP blamed the Mother?s Day photo on a woman with cancer, nor does it explain all of the crazy briefings in the past month, nor does does the timeline make much sense. Maybe we?ll eventually get clarity on some of that stuff. But in the meantime, People Magazine is running exclusives (from their cover story this week) about how barely anyone knew about Kate?s diagnosis.
Always wary of leaks to the press, Kate Middleton had been open about her cancer diagnosis to some, but other close friends and confidants were unaware.
It was a heck of a shock, one tells PEOPLE exclusively in this weeks cover story. Adds a former palace aide: The circle of knowledge was very tight.
In a video that sent shockwaves around the globe on March 22, Princess Kate, 42, revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. The royal mom, so famous for her unerring poise, spoke about initially keeping the diagnosis private for the sake of our young family, her voice cracking at the reference to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, whom she shares with Prince William.
Says a source close to the royal household, She held it together.
Behind the scenes, the Princess of Wales has been taking steps to prioritize her health and well-being, but she hasn?t been in complete seclusion. Both she and Prince William, 41, have been spotted at their children?s sports events and lessons in recent weeks. On March 16, the couple were photographed running errands together at Windsor?s Farm Shop.
Having fun together when they can is very important, says a family friend. This is about her feeling supported. She doesn?t feel isolated at all.
Kate?s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, have been an additional source of help, with Carole accompanying her daughter on school drop-offs. Kate?s younger siblings, Pippa and James, along with their families, are also nearby. In a touching statement accompanied by a photo of himself and Kate as children, James wrote on Instagram: Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family we will climb this one with you too.
While Kate?s health crisis has strengthened the safety net around her, it has also highlighted the royal family?s ongoing estrangement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who learned the news at the same time as the rest of the world. However, they privately reached out to William and Kate following the announcement and publicly released a statement: We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.
[From People]
?On March 16, the couple were photographed running errands together at Windsor?s Farm Shop.? Yeah, this bugs me. The Windsor Farm Shop video is, to me, still extremely questionable and I hate that the palace has taken the position now that if you question the farm shop video, you?re bullying Kate. That IS the palace?s position too, and they?ve been trying to cover their tracks ever since Kate?s cancer-announcement video. Someone told Roya Nikkhah at the Times last weekend that Kate ?wants to be able to carry on with as active and normal a routine as possible and not have it become a huge issue when she goes to a farm shop near their home in Windsor, with people then suggesting that?s a PR move.? It was a PR move and a sloppy one at that, given the palace was actively working with the Sun on that story and that video.
As for the secrecy? Nikkhah?s story mentioned that as well, that Kate?s closest friends were caught off guard by the news. At some point, someone will have to ask when Kate?s staffers learned of the news and when Buckingham Palace was informed. Because I think the answer is ?last week? for both.
