Ana De Armas changed into this custom Louis Vuitton dress for the post-Oscar parties. I would think that we?re supposed to see ?stained glass windows.? It?s not bad and hey, it does look comfortable. It?s just a slipdress with an interesting fabric. The cutest was when Ana saw Ke Huy Quan on the VF carpet and they gave each other a big hug. From the looks of things, Ana is a big EEAAO stan and she was rooting for all of those actors. Plus, I think everyone who was part of this awards season fell in love with Ke he made everyone smile and he was hugging everybody.

For a few years now, Louis Vuitton has been making special pieces for Ana De Armas. She?s getting paid as an LV brand ambassador, and they clearly love the association. Usually, I?m surprised by how good the LV stuff looks on Ana. This is not one of those times. At last night?s BAFTAs, Ana got the worst LV out of all of the designer?s looks. This pale pink, boob-ruffled thing looks so fking cheap. Ugh, poor Ana.
Sophie Turner is also a big Louis Vuitton brand ambassador. While her BAFTA dress wasn?t my particular jam, it seems like this is her style and she looked good/fine.
Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton. I love metallic dresses and I think bronze is an underrated color for a red carpet, so I actually like this a lot. It would have been so much cuter without that one fked up shoulder though.

I?ve seen the trailers for Blonde with Ana De Armas and I?m intrigued, although I haven?t seen anything to convince me we?re getting a truly different side to Marilyn Monroe?s story. But it?s on Netflix so I will most likely watch it. I want to like it. And I suppose I?ll have to like it, now that I know Marilyn herself was an on-set consultant. At least according to Ana she was. While she was in Venice for the film, Ana said that the ghost of Marilyn visited the set and made its existence known. Most of the time, Marilyn was just a reassuring presence but when the cast or crew got it wrong, she let them know by tearing sh*t off the walls.
Cuban-Spanish actress Ana De Armas teared up when discussing her lead role in Andrew Dominik?s Blonde today in Venice, saying she felt Marilyn Monroe was ?very close? to the production during the 2019 shoot.
?All of us feel so much respect and responsibility to do good and to honour her,? said de Armas, speaking at the press conference before the Netflix film?s world premiere this evening. ?Everyone knew that we were in her service ? doing something bigger than us, more special than just a film about her.
?She was all I thought about, all I dreamed about, all I could talk about. She was with me.
?It was beautiful; she was happy, but she would also throw things off the walls sometimes and get mad when she didn?t like something,? said de Armas of Monroe?s character. ?I truly believe she was very close to us, she was with us [during production]. Being in the same places that she was, filming in her house ? it was a very strong sensation, there was something in the air. She was approving of what we were doing. I didn?t want to protect myself from that.?
de Armas shed tears when asked about what the role will do to her career. ?I did this movie to push myself and because I thought it was a gift to myself; I didn?t do the movie to make other people change their opinion about me,? she responded. ?Whatever happens, it?s the experience I take with me. This movie changed my life. It will be what it will be.?

As you know, we like to give ghosts their page space here at Celebitchy. And Ana isn?t the first one to claim they?ve had eerie encounters while filming. Lily Collins also claims she was visited by the ghosts of Ted Bundy?s victims while filming Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (also a Netflix project ? dun Dun DUN!). And apparently, they used as many actual locales as possible for Blonde, including the room in which Marilyn died. Director Andrew Dominik said of Marilyn, ?her dust is everywhere in Los Angeles,? which is both profound and creepy. But I get his point and if they were in so many places steeped with Marilyn, that is where she would show up.
So was Marilyn on set with the Blonde folks? I don?t doubt Ana saw her in her dreams, for sure. I?ll bet she ate, drank and prayed Marilyn the whole time she was prepping for the role. That kind of dedication will bleed into sleep, certainly. But you can?t deny something throwing stuff around on set with other people around to witness it. And Ana was sitting on stage in Venice when she said this, it?s not like someone else isn?t going to question her if Ana was making stuff up. I like the idea of Marilyn responding this way, too. How many of these ?I know the real MM? movies has she had to watch be made? She?s done being polite, she?ll just trash your set if you muck about with the parts she wants told correctly. Marilyn was notoriously late for set as an actress, I wonder if her ghost was too? Like they had no problem filming until two hours in and then the spectral commentary kicked into high gear, and cameras went flying into the wings.
One thing we can deduce from Marilyn being on set is that she?s fine with the accent or she would?ve let it be known. The ghost has spoken? or rather didn?t.

I?ll give Ana De Armas some credit: she was able to somewhat easily recreate Marilyn Monroe?s look and general physical presence for Blonde. When Ana was cast as MM, I think most people didn?t believe she would be able to pull off any part of it. There?s a new trailer the first full-length trailer and she is absolutely pulling off some parts of Marilyn. The biggest problem might be Ana?s voice and accent? Marilyn absolutely used that breathy little-girl voice in movies, but she didn?t talk that way all the time. I hear Ana?s Cuban accent too. I mean, it is what it is, and Ana is trying to recreate MM?s voice.
Before this moment, I didn?t realize that Bobby Cannavale had been cast as Joe DeMaggio and Adrien Brody is playing Arthur Miller. Apparently, the movie doesn?t use those names, probably because DeMaggio and Miller?s estates wouldn?t authorize it. The film also has Julianne Nicholson, Garret Dillahunt, Scoot McNairy and a lot of people I don?t recognize off the top of my head. Caspar Phillipson plays JFK.
Anyway, the book is such a huge downer and I expect the movie will be too. Still, I?ll probably watch it. I want to see what Ana does with this role and now I?m obsessed with Cannavale as DiMaggio.

It?s not that I believe that Ana De Armas? glam squad is doing her dirty. They?re not, and they would really have to try very hard to make her look like sh-t. She doesn?t look awful, but throughout the promotion for The Gray Man, something is definitely off about her styling. One of the big issues is that she seems to have a Louis Vuitton-exclusive contract these days, and those exclusive contracts always suck so hard. It feels like LV isn?t really striving to give Ana their best looks or their most flattering looks. Add to that, Ana?s glam squad seems to be okay with sending her out with flat, lifeless hair all the time now. Whatever is going on here, it?s pissing me off.
Anyway, these are photos from the past two nights of screenings for The Gray Man. Tuesday night?s screening was in London, Monday night?s screening was in Berlin. Usually, when actors have to do weeks of promo across Europe, their style teams are putting together big lookbooks to really garner even more attention for the film. Ana?s team just wandered around Louis Vuitton, pulling random silver dresses. Granted, in Berlin, Ana did wear a three-piece LV suit and it was sort of cool. But the LV dress in London was not great. I hate the neckline of the dress, it looks immature to me, like a bib. The chainmail-esque skirt is good though I wish the whole dress was like that. She needs to fire her hair stylist though.
Other fashion notes: Ryan Gosling wore Gucci to both screenings. Chris Evans is doing his thing. Bonus Rege-Jean and his palazzo pants.

Here are some photos from last night?s LA premiere of The Gray Man, which is a big Netflix movie starring Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ana De Armas and Rege-Jean Page. It?s directed by the Russo brothers and it looks full of action/drama/espionage. Great supporting cast too Billy Bob Thornton, Wagner Moura, Alfre Woodard and on and on. You can see the trailer here.
Fashion-wise, the premiere was a little bit of a bummer. Ryan Gosling is still in his Barbie-World era, with his bleached hair and Easter-egg-colored ensemble. I mean, I think he looks nice, actually. Chris Evans phoned it in with a boring suit and sunglasses. Ana De Armas wore a Louis Vuitton dress and her hair looked sad. Like, you really have to make an effort to get Ana to look this bad/boring on a red carpet. The LV dress itself isn?t terrible, but I would have chosen something different for this premiere. And it definitely looks like she threw on the dress after a workout.
I kind of think Alfre Woodard looks the best out of everyone at the premiere? Rege-Jean looks nice too although his pants are a huge NO. What a strange red carpet.

The film adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates?s Blonde was pretty chaotic. It?s still chaotic. Ana De Armas was cast as Marilyn Monroe years ago and I think the production wrapped a while back. I heard rumors that the studio tried to bury this whole mess for a while, and that there were concerns about Ana?s accent (she had a Cuban accent) and her general ability to play such an iconic American figure like Marilyn. The script was reportedly a huge mess too because? well, I guess they didn?t read the actual book. Oates?s Blonde is depressing as hell and she really leaned into the fact that Marilyn had significant mental health issues, that she was deeply unhappy for much of her life, and that everyone treated her like sh-t. I think they did some extensive re-edits and now it?s rated NC-17 and it will stream on Netflix. Here?s the first trailer (it?s just a vague teaser).
What?s painful is that? again, the book leans into the downer parts of Marilyn?s life, how her life was not glamorous in the least, that she was used and abused. This shows her crying prettily and then the famous Seven Year Itch skirt moment. Whew, how bad is this film? It feels like it?s going to be pretty rough.

One of the first times I ever read anything about Ana De Armas, it was her Vanity Fair cover profile in early 2020, before we even knew that she and Ben Affleck were happening. In that profile, she came across as very family-oriented, very driven professionally, very messy romantically and kind of sheltered when it comes to Hollywood. I think she genuinely fell for Ben Affleck and she was probably surprised when it fell apart in a year. Although, reportedly, she was the one who dumped him. I think he prefers it that way he treats women like sh-t so they?re the ones dumping him. Anyway, before Ben, Ana dated a CAA agent who at the time was credited with significantly boosting her career. It really did seem like one day she was everywhere, and I do tend to believe that ?dating a powerful agent? was a big part of that, however sexist that may be.
Post-Affleck, Ana has been keeping a much lower profile, but now that the Bennifer revival is dominating headlines, Ana wants people to know that she?s moved on too.
Actress Ana De Armas has moved on from Ben Affleck and is now dating Tinder VP Paul Boukadakis, multiple sources have exclusively confirmed to Page Six. ?Knives Out? actress De Armas ? who dated Affleck after they met on the set of thriller ?Deep Water? in early 2020 through January of this year ? has been quietly seeing handsome tech exec Boukadakis for a few months.
A source tells us, ?Paul and Ana were introduced through friends. He is based in Austin, but splits his time between Texas and Santa Monica. He has been spending a lot of time with Ana before she left the US to film her new movie.?
The source adds that things have been going well between the new couple, and he has already introduced de Armas to members of his family. Boukadakis was co-founder and CEO at Wheel, which was acquired by Tinder in 2017 to add video collaboration. He became Tinder?s VP of special initiatives and has been working to create content for the site including the platform?s ?Swipe Night.?
Meanwhile, Ana flew out to the set of her new Netflix film, ?The Gray Man,? in May. She was photographed in Mallorca a month ago in a royal blue one-piece swimsuit. ?The Gray Man? also stars Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, and ?Bridgerton? breakout Reg-Jean Page. The movie is based on the 2009 novel which follows a deadly duel between ex-CIA operative Court Gentry (Gosling) who is hunted by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort at the CIA.

Wait, she?s working with Chris Evans again? Chris had zero chill when it came to Ana when they worked together on Knives Out. Like, he was really into her and it was so obvious, his fans were either trying to get them together or they were yelling at her to get off their man. My point? Maybe a few months in Mallorca with Chris Evans will change Ana?s romantic status yet again. But if this thing with a Tinder executive is the real deal, then God bless.

How many of you sat through Zack Synder?s Justice League this weekend? I did. I agree it?s better than the first one, but that?s about as much praise as I can give it (which isn?t much). However I can see why there is a lot of talk about the Batfleck again, Zach certainly did him justice (ha! See what I did there?) But has all the renewed interest in Ben Affleck coming back as Batman gotten the attention of his ex-girlfriend Ana De Armas? There are rumors that the former highly caffeinated, dog-walking flames might be dating again after splitting two months ago. Ana got those started when she posted the shot above to her Instagram stories. That is the same half heart necklace that Ben got so much attention for wearing back in May 2020 while they were dating. Soon everyone flooded her comment section asking about Ben. But Ana shut that news down with a follow up story that was just several versions of ?Nope!?

The Knives Out star, 32, raised eyebrows on Sunday, March 21, when she uploaded a selfie to her Instagram Stories that showed her wearing a half-heart necklace. The Oscar winner, 48, was previously spotted rocking the other half of the gold pendant in May 2020 when they were still in a relationship.
De Armas? captionless post sparked speculation that the former couple were giving their romance another try. However, she seemingly denied that was the case on Monday, March 22, by posting a series of GIFs that read ?Nope,? ?No? and ?I Don?t Think So? on her Instagram Stories alongside a hand making a peace sign.

CB asked last year who held the other half of the necklace and we still don?t know. There is no right or wrong way to wear them, of course, but I have never known anyone to openly display their half unless they wanted to make a statement. Those who wear them for sentimental reasons tend to tuck them inside their shirts. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Or, maybe Ana wanted the intended person to see it, she simply doesn?t want us to know who that is.
Regardless of whether she meant for it to catch this much attention, it did get Ana?s name in the headlines right when Ben was trending on Twitter. Unfortunately, all the articles mentioning the rumors and the necklace also bring up her life-sized cutout being dumped in the trash. I don?t really care one way or the other if they hook up again. I do think Ben has been working on his sobriety and that he?s been pretty successful of late. I hope that?s his focus and not who his next relationship is. Ana is lovely and very talented. I don?t really think she needs gimmicks to keep her name in the news. But I don?t think she?s above pulling gimmicks to keep her name in the news either.
