George Clooney has been making the festival rounds for his latest film for what feels like the longest two months of promotion that even wife Amal?s showgirl couture can?t save. The movie is Jay Kelly, helmed by Noah Baumbach from a script he cowrote with Emily Mortimer. I like Emily Mortimer a lot, but the film is giving budget It?s A Wonderful Life, and has been getting mid-to-scatching reviews. This was the part of the IMDb logline that had me rolling my eyes: ?Poignant and humor-filled, pitched at the intersection of regrets and glories.? Us writers can be really obnoxious with our writerly flourishes, so on behalf of the community I apologize for ?pitched at the intersection of regrets and glories.?
Thankfully the end is in sight, with the theatrical release date less than a month away on November 14. But before George can pack up and return to the farm in France where he and Amal are raising their twins ? that?s where George does the school run! ? he attended the LA premiere last week, where multiple outlets asked him to weigh in on the recent Louvre heist. You know, because George played a thief in Ocean?s Eleven. George?s take was as glib as we?ve come to expect from him:
The Louvre heist has prompted reactions of awe, disbelief, and outrage ? but George Clooney is one of the few onlookers who feel both pride and a tinge of jealousy.
The actor, who portrayed dapper casino thief Danny Ocean in Ocean?s Eleven and its sequels, reflected on the audacious burglary in which a group of thieves stole more than $100 million worth of historic jewels from Paris? foremost museum on Sunday.
?It was cool,? Clooney said of the Louvre theft during an interview with Variety on the Jay Kelly red carpet. ?I mean, it?s terrible. But if you?re a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys.?
The Michael Clayton star added that he?s unsure if the culprits will evade authorities. ?I wonder if they?re going to catch these guys,? he said. ?They seem to have done a pretty good job at getting away with it.?
Clooney?s comments came as part of a broader conversation about another Ocean?s installment, which the actor has sporadically teased over the past few weeks. ?I think we should rob the Louvre,? he suggested for the long-awaited sequel?s plot. ?But somebody?s already done it, man, I dunno.?
It seems that Clooney would settle for just being retroactively inserted into existing footage of the thieves descending from the museum on an electric ladder. ?I think you gotta put me in, CGI me into that basket coming out of the Louvre,? Clooney told the Associated Press at the same event. ?I think you should do that.?
The Fantastic Mr. Fox star also expressed his admiration for the thieves? audacity during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the same event. ?I was amazed that it was in the middle of broad daylight. Insane,? he said. ?But every place gets robbed, I guess.?

I?m sure the French will be ever so thrilled to welcome George home on the heels of him making light of the theft of their $100 million crown jewels. The solidarit is moving. Look, I know more than a few of us have been swept up in the excitement of it all, given how brazen and swift the heist was. But there?s a noted difference between being captivated by a stunning event, versus downright rooting for the robbers. Plus, we?ve also been in equal measure, if not a touch more concerned about the fate of the jewels; lamenting the prospects of the pieces being broken down (i.e., destroyed) into unrecognizable parts, or being kept in pristine condition? but in a private oligarch?s collection never to be seen by the public again. I?m not getting a whiff of any of that kind of concern from George?s comments here. Rather, he?s centering himself based on a flimsy connection (that he once played a heister) and riffing on how the situation relates to him, without delving into any of the consequences. Hmm, why does this feel familiar?
Oh, and George need wonder no more about the thieves being caught: news broke on Sunday, one week after the crime was committed, that two suspects had been arrested. Though there?s been no word yet on if any of the jewels were recovered. Maybe they?ll turn up on a farm somewhere.

Kim Kardashian has been hustling All?s Fair in America and Europe in recent weeks. All?s Fair is the Ryan Murphy-produced show about competing law firms focused on divorce. They make family law look very glam and terrible. Kim has been front-and-center in the promotion, and I guess she?s close to being the lead of the ensemble or something. Well, Kim and Sarah Paulson (who is also in All?s Fair) appeared on The Graham Norton Show, and Kim confirmed something interesting. Not about her acting career, but about her law career. Kim ?graduated? from her makeshift law-study program earlier this year, and she took the bar exam over the summer. Kim told Graham that her bar results will be coming soon, but she believes she passed and she hopes to practice law soon.
Kim Kardashian is truly a jack of all trades! During an appearance on BBC?s The Graham Norton Show on Friday, Oct. 24, the reality TV star, 45, revealed that in addition to the multiple entertainment and fashion projects that she?s currently working on, she hasn?t slowed down on her 10-year plan to become a trial lawyer. She appeared on the chat show hosted by Graham Norton, alongside her All?s Fair costar Sarah Paulson.
?I have a few projects coming up ? I film my first movie in January, and we are hoping for a season 2 of All?s Fair,? Kardashian said. ?I always want to be growing, curious and evolving, and I want to see wherever that takes me.?
Revealing that the results of her bar exams are due soon, she continued, ?I will be qualified in two weeks. I hope to practice law. Maybe in 10 years, I think I?ll give up being Kim K and be a trial lawyer. That?s what I really want.?
The law career update came after The Kardashians star graduated from a Law Office Study Program on May 21. At the time, PEOPLE confirmed that it took her six years to complete rather than four due to COVID and other work commitments.
Despite having never graduated from college, she began an apprenticeship with a law firm in San Francisco in 2018 and took the ?baby bar,? also known as the First-Year Law Students Examination, in 2021. In March of this year, she took the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE) in Los Angeles, which is mandatory to complete before the bar in order to practice law in California.

There were so many times where I thought she would give up, and think about how easy it would have been for her to abandon her law studies. Now, would anyone hire Kim as their lawyer? No. I wouldn?t. She confirmed something I?ve long suspected, which is that Kanye actually doesn?t give a sh-t about his children, especially the three younger kids.
Kim Kardashian is not holding back as she reflects on her seven-year marriage to Kanye West. On the season 7 premiere of The Kardashians, the 45-year-old was in between takes on the set of Alls Fair ? the Ryan Murphy series shes leading alongside Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash-Betts ? when she got candid about her relationship with her ex, with whom she shares four kids.
?I haven?t had psoriasis since I got divorced, and it just started coming back,? she revealed, as she said she recently felt pretty tested by West, whom she married in 2014 and divorced in 2021. ?I mean, I have psoriasis again, she said by way of proving how shes doing. I felt more stressed, probably just because I had to super, super protect what I had to protect.?
In a confessional, the mom of four was asked what?s ?going through her mind? when she sees erratic behavior from West. My poor kids, she said. Everyone around can handle it, but like, protect my babies. They?re gonna know things. They?re gonna grow up, they?re gonna see. So my job as a mom is to just make sure that ? at a time when that behavior is happening ? is just to make sure that they?re protected.?
Reflecting on her relationship with the rapper, 48, and her decision to divorce him, Kim admitted she always felt like I had a bit of Stockholm syndrome with West.
I always felt really bad and always protected and always wanted to help [him], she said, revealing she would think to herself, I should?ve stuck it out or I could?ve helped, but this was the first time I didn?t feel that responsibility personally.
It is so f sad, she added of where things stand between them. During the episode, Kim also shut down the narrative that she has the luxury of walking away and not dealing [with him] ever again.
?That?s not my reality. This person ? we have 4 kids together. It?s very confusing, because it?ll be all this talk on the internet of like, ?I?m keeping the kids.? He?s never once called and asked [to see them]. But then I?ll wake up, and it?s on Twitter that I?m keeping the kids. When it?s not true and not rational, I just have to ? I can?t engage all the time. It?s a divorce ? not a kidnapping.?

I always believed that Kim would have been well within her rights to demand full custody. But Kim also knows what Kanye is like, and that at some point after their divorce, he would simply lose interest in the kids. It?s really sad, but I think it?s for the best. Sure, the kids have to grow up hearing about all of the bonkers sh-t Kanye says and does. But hey, at least they aren?t getting a live performance anymore. As for Kim?s feelings of guilt? it?s true that she could have ?helped? but her help had also become enabling, and it was affecting her health too. I?ve never blamed her for divorcing him.

One of the funniest things about Kim Kardashian is that she rarely looks ?good? in couture. Over the years, she developed many contacts within the fashion world, and she can afford to wear any designer. Designers customize their pieces for her body too, and it still doesn?t work. I?m not saying Kim always looks like sh-t or anything, it?s just that she looks so much better in her off-duty looks, jeans and sweatpants and simple tops.
This week, Kim celebrated her 45th birthday in Paris. There was a premiere event in Paris for All?s Fair, her new Ryan Murphy show. For the premiere, Kim wore a vintage Dior by John Galliano. If you know Galliano?s history and Kanye?s history, Kim probably should have avoided the connection, but whatever. The dress is fine, and Kim brought her mom as her date to the premiere. After the premiere, Kim changed into another vintage look: a 1997 McQueen with a gold corseted bustier. This is what she wore to visit the Crazy Horse, an iconic cabaret in Paris.
Meanwhile, Kim also celebrated her birthday with the gift of real estate. She spent $7 million on a neighboring property close to her Hidden Hills estate. Reportedly, Kim plans to expand her property even further. Something no one talks about anymore is that time, post-divorce, when Kanye bought a home across the street from Kim and he was literally stalking Kim for a while. Did he sell that place? Does he still have it and he just never goes there anymore? I did some digging and, back in June, Page Six said that the property is abandoned now, and Kanye left it ?in ruins.? Kim should try to buy that place too.

Last week, Jennifer Lawrence attended the London Film Festival premiere of Die, My Love without her costar Robert Pattinson. Rob is in the wind! I?m sure he?s working on something else, but most actors get time off to hustle their work through the film festival circuit. Well, it happened again this week J-Law stepped out without Rob at yet another film festival, this one in Rome. Sidenote: Jennifer has been trailing Angelina Jolie on the festival circuit for the past few months, as Jolie promotes Couture. Jennifer is the one who will end up with the award nominations this year and next, not Angelina.
Anyway, I just wanted to talk about these pics because what in the world is she wearing? This is Jonathan Anderson-for-Dior, so it?s a fresh design from the new creative director of Dior (as of June 2025). THIS is what Anderson wanted to show on one of Dior?s top brand ambassadors? This literal sad sack? What?s especially crazy is that Jennifer has a terrific figure she?s tall and lanky like a model and she can pull off almost any kind of design. They made her look like a bag lady with sad boobs. It also, bizarrely, looks like a ripoff of a classic Chanel design.
During her appearance on the Graham Norton Show, Graham pressed Jen on her two years off from Hollywood. I?d just like to point out that she didn?t actually take two years ?off? in the sense that she was completely out of Hollywood or whatever. She welcomed her first child, she was still reading scripts, she was working as a producer, she was developing projects, etc. What really happened is that she realized that she was everywhere all the time, and she made an effort to be quieter and just live her life without publicly narrating everything. Anyway, when Graham asked her about whether she was concerned that she wouldn?t be welcomed back, she said: ?I was at peace with that possibility of happening. [Hollywood] is a lot. I think I wouldve been fine. Well, I mean, no ? I would be really upset.
PS? Her bangs are tragic. Yikes.

In March 2023 Ryan Coogler announced his Chris Carter-approved reboot of The X-Files, which will air on Disney+. I?m SO excited! Details have been scarce so far, but last week, rumors emerged that Danielle Deadwyler was the frontrunner for a starring role. Our last official update, however, came from Coogler?s Sinners promo tour back in May, when he revealed that he?d been in touch with Gillian Anderson and promised that some of the episodes would be really f-king scary.?
Coogler was asked about the reboot during a Sinners screening last weekend. (It?s back in theaters for Halloween.) He?s still holding his cards close to his chest, but did reveal the reason why he took on The X-Files as his next project: he?s doing it for his mom, who is a huge fan.
Ryan Coogler made his first ?Creed? film because his father Ira loved the ?Rocky? franchise. Now it?s his mom Joselyn?s turn. Coogler tells me he signed on to reboot ?The X-Files? because his mother was a big fan of the Fox sci-fi drama series.
?Like my relationship with ?Rocky? with my dad, ?The X-Files? is one of those things with my mom,? Coogler told me Friday at the Cinespia ?Sinners? screening at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. ?My mom means the world to me ? she?s actually here tonight ? so this is a big one for me. I want to do right by her and the fans. My mom has read some of the stuff I wrote for it. She?s fired up.?
As for rumors that Danielle Deadwyler is being eyed to star in the reboot, Coogler laughed, ?I can neither confirm or deny.? The same goes for possible appearances by original ?X-Files? stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny.

Rebooting The X-Files for his mom is a grade-A Mother?s Day/birthday/Christmas present. Like, how do you even top that? I also had no idea that Ryan made the new Rocky movies for his dad! That?s pretty awesome. He did such a good job with both of them, too. This just reaffirms my faith that his X-Files is going to be really good. You don?t want to disappoint your mom!
That said, I was underwhelmed by the ?new? seasons that we got in 2016 and 2018. However, they were technically continuations of the original story and Ryan?s project is a straight-up reboot. Oh, I can?t wait! I hope the Danielle Deadwyler rumors are true because I?ve really liked her in everything I?ve seen her in so far. If we?re to presume that she?s playing the Scully-adjacent character, then who would we like to see as the Mulder-based one? I?m going with Manny Jacinto. If Star Wars doesn?t want him, then put him in a suit, give him a badge, and let us watch him uncover monsters, aliens, and government conspiracies in between throwing pencils at the ceiling.

Something I?ve always admired about Jennifer Lopez is that she?s never going to let the dust settle. She?s always going to move on and keep busy. Her love life can be a total disaster, but she?s still going to turn up to that premiere, and film her next movie the following day. These photos are of Jennifer filming The Last Mrs. Parrish in New York this month. She?s filming at the same time she?s promoting Kiss of the Spider Woman in the city. Last week, she appeared on Watch What Happens Live (for some reason she loves stopping by that show), and she answered questions about her best on-screen kiss (she named Brett Goldstein) and whether Alex Rodriguez cheated on her with a Southern Charm star (she basically said no comment). But the best interviewer is always going to be Howard Stern, and Jennifer really opened up about what went wrong in her relationships and marriages:
Has Jennifer Lopez experienced true love yet? The Kiss of the Spider Woman actress made her first visit to SiriusXMs Howard Stern Show on Wednesday, Oct. 15, and during a wide-ranging conversation, Lopez spoke about love and relationships.
Do you think youve truly been loved? Stern, 71, asked Lopez, 56. After a pause, she replied, No, adding that she has, though, experienced truly loving someone else.
What I learned, its not that Im not lovable ? its that theyre not capable. They dont have it in them, she said, adding, And they gave me what they had. They gave me all of it, every time. All the rings, all the things I could ever want. The houses, the rings, the marriage. All of it. But.
Part of the issue was, she admitted, I didnt love myself at the time.
When I got divorced this last time, it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Because it really made me journey into? I mean, I had a religious coach, I had a therapist, a couples therapist, an individual therapist, I had a coach to understand addiction. I had everything. I was like, Im gonna fin figure this s out if it kills me.
She came to the understanding that the core of the thing is you ? its nobody else. Now Im able to sit here in a much more self-assured, self-aware way of the things that have happened to me, whether my mother, my father, in my own life, how I learned to love, how I felt neglected ? all the things that are in your head as a person ? and know who I am and just really appreciate that person, she explained. [I] feel really comfortable and good in being myself, all the good parts and all the kind of complicated things.
Stern asked, But you havent had that with someone? Lopez replied, Glimpses. He then told her, I wish that for you, to which she thanked him.

?What I learned, its not that Im not lovable ? its that theyre not capable. They dont have it in them?? I think this is true specifically for Jennifer and her men, and it?s true of many men (but not all). Of course, I also think that some women have ?successful? relationships because they meet men where they are emotionally, they accept men?s love incapabilities, understanding that it?s not about them. Men, like women, have their own love languages. But yeah, specifically about Jennifer?s relationships and marriages, I think the guys were the problem, but as she admits, she didn?t really know herself.
Additionally, in this Stern interview, Jennifer spoke about her one big professional regret: turning down the lead in Adrian Lyne?s Unfaithful, a role which went to Diane Lane (and Lane got Oscar-nominated for it too). J.Lo told Stern: ?Adrian Lyne offered me Unfaithful? The script wasn?t good,? but Jennifer complimented Lyne and said he ?made it great.? Jennifer said that turning it down ?haunts me. It haunts me a little bit. It?s like the one that I turned down that it was just like, ?Why did you turn down working with Adrian Lyne? What were you thinking?? I didn?t even know what the hell was going on in my mind at the time. Who knows what was going on with me at the time.?

Here are some photos of Jennifer Lawrence at the London Film Festival premiere of Die, My Love. Interestingly, this dress is not another boring Dior from one of Dior?s main brand ambassadors. This is a boring Armani Prive! Yeah, I?m not crazy about it, but it?s fine for the event. It feels like Jennifer is pacing herself sartorially, if that makes sense. Simple black dresses and gowns for the early events/festivals for Die, My Love. And then the bigger fashion moments will come later, if and when she starts getting nominated for awards.
Speaking of, it?s been a minute since J-Law had the lead in an Oscar-bait film, and that?s exactly what this is. I?m actually looking forward to her campaign! Jennifer used to really oversaturate the market with her interviews and Oscar campaigns, but years have passed and now she?s a mom of two kids and she seems much more lowkey. She did appear on the most recent episode of Graham Norton?s show she looooves Graham Norton and she ended up telling some funny stories about her DML costar, Robert Pattinson. Obviously, they?re totally besties now, but I think it?s so funny that Rob is now known as ?effectively every woman?s best girlfriend and gossip buddy.?
Because Rob is one of the girls. He wants to gossip. He just is one of the gals?but hes also like my daughter. Hes a great father, hes a professional, he shows up on time, but I wouldnt trust that he, like, put a coat on. He brings out a very maternal [side in me]. Rob?s partner/wife Suki Waterhouse said that about him too, that when they?re away from each other, all they do is talk on the phone and gossip. Rob is for the girls! I love that he?s a girl-dad now too.
Getting back to these LFF photos? for years now, there?s been speculation about whether Jennifer has gotten cosmetic work and/or injectables. Jennifer claims that it?s just makeup and, obviously, her face and body has changed after two pregnancies. Looking at these photos, I kind of believe that it?s just injectables here and there, especially around her eyes and mouth. She doesn?t look completely different, just tweaked a bit.

Tom Cruise and Ana De Armas started hanging out constantly at the start of the year. They were papped a lot in London, and at first we were told that Tom and Ana are merely working together and they were just spending time together as friends and colleagues. Months went by and they continued to pop up everywhere together. Ana even took Tom to her Vermont estate, which seemed to be the larger signal that they were really dating. As this gossip storyline went along, I actually got the sense that Ana was pursuing Tom, that she was trying to make this happen. I wondered how Tom would react to that longterm, because he hasn?t wanted to get involved with a big, public romance since Katie Holmes divorced him. All of his relationships post-Katie have been significantly quieter and less pap-friendly. Well, now they?re saying that Ana and Tom are done. Interesting.
Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise has split from his actress girlfriend Ana De Armas after less than nine months together. The Mission: Impossible actor, 63, was first linked to the Cuban-born beauty, 37, in February and they went public with their romance in the spring. But The Sun can exclusively reveal they recently decided to call time on their relationship, after realising they are better off as friends.
A source close to the pair said: ?Tom and Ana had a good time together but their time as a couple has run its course. They are going to remain good friends but they aren?t dating anymore. They just realised they weren?t going to go the distance and that they are better off as mates. The spark had gone between them but they still love each other?s company and they?ve both been really adult about it. She?s already been cast in his next film, so they will continue to work together.?
They are due to star together in supernatural thriller Deeper, and were seen in London rehearsing for their roles. But the film has reportedly been put on hold. The Sun told earlier this year how they are also planning on working with each other on a movie with the working title Pressure.

My controversial take is that Ana needs to stop dating costars or potential costars! She should have learned that lesson with Ben Affleck! God that was a mess. This thing with Tom would have been even messier because of Scientology and she should count her blessings that she got out when she did. Again, though, I feel like Ana was the one pushing to date Tom, and I get the sense that Tom is the one saying ?actually, I can?t do this.?
