| | Jennifer Lawrence: Tarantino was told I wasn't 'pretty enough' to play Sharon Tate | | Added 2 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

I have no memory of this happening, but I?m sure I heard about it at the time? So, back in 2017, Quentin Tarantino was casting for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tarantino famously has a great eye for casting, and he was trying to find his ?Sharon Tate.? The casting allegedly came down between Jennifer Lawrence and Margot Robbie. Margot got the job, although as it turned out, Sharon Tate was not some major role/character in the film. Well, why didn?t Tarantino choose J-Law for Tate? According to Jen, it?s because Tarantino was convinced that Jennifer wasn?t ?pretty enough? for the role.
Jennifer Lawrence claimed she lost out on the role of Sharon Tate in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood because of criticism of her looks. Back in 2017, fans were agog at the news that Quentin Tarantino was making a movie involving the Manson murders, and rumors started flying that he was trying to choose between Lawrence and Margot Robbie to play Tate.
Tates sister Debra broke her silence on the matter, flatly declaring Lawrence was not pretty enough for the part and that she would prefer Robbie. Tarantino eventually did select Robbie, amid a cast that included Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margaret Qualley, Dakota Fanning and Austin Butler.
Now Lawrence, 35, has shared her own memory of how the situation unfolded, saying Tarantino did want her for the part and then everybody was like: Shes not pretty enough to play Sharon Tate, during a recent event for 92NY.
Thats not true, said interviewer Josh Horowitz, to which Lawrence replied: Im pretty sure it is true, or its that thing where Ive been telling that story this way for so long that I believe it, but Im pretty sure that happened.
The Hunger Games actress added: Or he just never was considering me for the part and the internet just went out of their way to call me ugly.
Back in 2017, when speculation was rife that Lawrence was up for the role of Tate in Tarantinos film, Debra went viral for pouring cold water on the idea. Shes not pretty enough to play Sharon, Debra famously pronounced in an interview with TMZ. My pick would be Margot simply because of her physical beauty and even the way she carries herself is similar to Sharon.
[From The Daily Mail]
It?s true that Margot looks more like Sharon Tate, and it?s also true that at that moment of both Margot and Jennifer?s careers, Margot was a better fit for a supporting role in a Tarantino movie. Jennifer would have been more of a distraction, because she was SO ubiquitous at that time. It didn?t have anything to do with Jennifer not being ?pretty enough? Jen is beautiful, but yeah, Margot looked more like Sharon Tate. Still, it was rude as hell for Sharon Tate?s sister to say that about Jen, and I don?t blame Jen for nursing that insult and believing it was the reason why she didn?t get the part.

| | Nikki Glaser cut jokes from the Globes about Brad Pitt and Trump | | Added 2 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
From a production standpoint, there were probably more misses than hits at this year?s Golden Globes. (Unsurprisingly, ratings were down.) As we?ve discussed, things like the GPS tracking of seated nominees and the banal voiceover commentary were annoying but innocuous. The greater crimes were not televising the Original Score category, cutting short the acceptance speech for Best Non-English Language Film, and essentially stopping the show for a UFC promo. But? the guests got good sushi! And I maintain that Nikki Glaser did a solid job hosting back-to-back years. She?s been the best host since the standard-setting Amy Poehler & Tiny Fey tenure, imo. As she did last year, Nikki visited The Howard Stern Show days after the awards to break down the experience, which included sharing a slew of jokes that didn?t make the final cut. Here are the jabs people dodged Sunday night:
Brad Pitt: Had the 62-year-old actor been present and nominated for his role in racing movie F1, Glaser said, she would have joked onstage, ?When a man turns 60, he gets to play a racecar driver. Meanwhile, after 35, every role for a woman is a tired mom who hates her life.? She continued: ?Brad, you were so good enough when I was almost convinced that you?ve driven yourself somewhere in the last 30 years. But Brad did a lot of his own driving in the movie. And Brad, I don?t want to embarrass you, but your blinker was on the whole time.?
Sean Penn: The comedian and her team came up with several jokes about Sean Penn, for example, but stuck to only one during the ceremony, about him looking like ?a sexy leather handbag.? ? The jokes she would have piled onto the One Battle After Another nominee, 65, included, ?Sean Penn is nominated tonight. I?m assuming for best neck veins?? and ?Two of the hardest working actors in Hollywood are here tonight: Sean Penn?s lower eyelids.?
Jonathan Bailey: Had Wicked: For Good star Jonathan Bailey attended the show, Glaser said she would have quipped, ?Jonathan is the first openly gay man to be named the Sexiest Man Alive by PEOPLE magazine. And at first I was like, do we really need to say ?openly?? And then I looked at a list of past winners and I was like, ?Oh, yeah, we do.??
Sydney Sweeney: If Christy star Sydney Sweeney had been in the Globes crowd, Glaser would have tried: ?Tonight is a night of celebration but we can?t ignore that it?s a weird time in Hollywood. People just aren?t going to the theater to see things. If you don?t believe me, there was a movie this year where Sydney Sweeney played a lesbian who just bounced around in tiny shorts for two hours and it made $14.?
Julia Roberts: ?This was the joke I had written about [Roberts] where I literally thought I was going to be tarred and feathered after the show,? she told Stern: ?Julia Roberts is nominated for After the Hunt. I don?t know what it?s about, but I?m assuming the hunt was to find someone who?s seen it.?
Trump: Glaser said she passed on a joke that comedy legend Steve Martin offered her, opting not to mock the recent renaming of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., by telling the awards show?s attendees they were enjoying an evening at the ?Trump Beverly Hilton.? Explaining why it got the ax, she said, ?It was like, you just don?t say that guy?s name right now. I just want to give it space.?
ICE: ?I was gonna come in at some point and say, ?I?m hearing from the bar that we?re out of ice. And you know what? We don?t really need ICE. And actually, I hate ICE. I?ve never even wanted ICE,?? Glaser told Stern, calling the joke too ?trivial? to be worth keeping in.
[From People & HuffPost]
I applaud Nikki! ?because I agree that all of these jokes merited being axed. The easiest group to eliminate are the jokes directed towards people who aren?t there. Unless of course there?s a meaningful quip to make about why that person isn?t there. Otherwise, it just loses some potency to direct that kind of attention towards someone who isn?t in the room. But even if some of these celebs had been there, I still think these jokes weren?t good enough or appropriate. The ?openly? bit about Sexiest Man Alive kind of flirts with homophobia, and Jonathan Bailey doesn?t deserve to be put in the middle of that, even if the punchline wasn?t really aimed at Bailey but at past SMAs. Whereas with Sean Penn, ?sexy leather handbag? was so good! The back ups just don?t compare. And I appreciate that Nikki didn?t ?say that guy?s name,? because it was nice to have the break. As for the ICE set up, I actually think it was well composed. I just disagree about calling it ?trivial.? Mere days after Minneapolis, it was only too relevant, and not something to joke about.

| | Indy the dog won best horror movie performance at the Astra awards | | Added 5 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Every once in a while a new actor emerges of such rawhide talent, bearing such a pawsitively mesmerizing screen presence, that their star immediately rises and shakes out Hollywood. So it is with Indy the dog, whose breakthrough leading role in last year?s spooky flick Good Boy has just earned him the treat of Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller at the 9th Annual Astra Film Awards. Indy pulled off this trick in his debut film! And not only did he win over a pack of all-human actors ? two of them are Oscar nominees! Unfortunately, Indy couldn?t be there in person to accept his award in Beverly Hills last Friday. (Much like Michelle Williams was unable to attend the Golden Globes and accept her Best Actress win for Dying for Sex ? y?all KNOW I was beside myself with joy over that show finally getting some awards-love!) Instead, Indy put on his sharpest bow tie and sent in a video alongside his human/director, Ben Leonberg.
Here?s the full breakdown of the Astra Film awards 2026 category?
Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller:
*Indy the Dog ? Good Boy as himself ? WINNER
*Alison Brie ? Together as Millie Wilson
*Ethan Hawke ? Black Phone 2 as The Grabber
*Sally Hawkins ? Bring Her Back as Laura
*Sophie Thatcher ? Companion as Iris
*Alfie Williams ? 28 Years Later as Spike
Wikipedia explains, ?Nominated for Best Performance in a Horror or Thriller for his performance in Good Boy, Indy the Dog?s nomination made film award history, as Indy is now the first canine to be nominated for a major film acting award that had previously recognized only human talent. Indy ultimately won the award, making further history as the first animal to win a major film acting award. Though not in attendance, the film?s director and owner of Indy, Ben Leonberg, accepted the award via an acceptance speech video, with Indy by his side.?
Ben Leonberg admits in the video that Indy is ?being recognized for his work in a movie that he doesn?t understand he was in.? As Leonberg explained to Bloody Disgusting last year, ?It surprises a lot of people to learn that Indy only knows a handful of tricks and commands?his ?performance? isn?t created through conventional training. Instead, it was about being ready with the camera in the right place at the right time, and coaxing him using a combination of everyday commands, weird sounds, physical gestures, and food. Once those moments were edited together, they created the illusion of a performance.?
?The ?scary? scenes were always the most fun for Indy and the most creatively fulfilling for me,? Leonberg continued. ?What looks like frightened barking or paralyzing fear onscreen is, in reality, Indy staring down a treat or a tennis ball just off camera that he really wants. (And which he got as soon as we ?cut?). Thanks to the magic of filmmaking and juxtaposition of disparate shots, the audience projects their own emotions onto those puppy-dog eyes.?
[From Bloody Disgusting]
Arf, typical director disrespecting and blabbing about the actor?s process. ?Being recognized for his work in a movie that he doesn?t understand he was in.? What, is that supposed to be some sort of dig at method acting?? Just because it looked effortless and immersive, doesn?t mean Indy didn?t work at his craft! That?s like all the people who denigrate the artistry of Cary Grant by saying ?he just played himself onscreen.? It took discipline and focus for Indy to maintain the intimacy with the camera, before relaxing with a treat or tennis ball once they called cut. This award recognition may be surprising to many folks, but not to those of us who read the reviews when Good Boy came out in October. For Spot?s sake, IndieWire called IndyDog ?One of the most emotive actors of his generation ? regardless of species?!!! This canine thespian can wag his tail into any role right now. Personally, I have my paws crossed for a drama or period piece with Messi, who?s kept a low profile since Anatomy of a Fall.
Bravo, Indy! You earned this and are indeed a very good boy.
PS ? I can?t believe a DIRECTOR lit that acceptance video so poorly!

Last night in Paris, Netflix hosted the world premiere of Bridgerton?s Season 4. S4 Part 1 comes out on January 29, and then Part 2 comes out on February 26. This season is based on the book An Offer from a Gentleman, which is where Benedict Bridgerton falls for the maid, Sophie Beckett. Benedict is played by Luke Thompson and Sophie is played by newcomer Yerin Ha. For last night?s premiere, Luke and Yerin posed together and they actually look like they have some nice chemistry. Nothing will ever beat Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey?s chemistry though!
Yerin Ha wore an ice-blue Prada gown for the premiere. It?s because of the connection to Cinderella?s ballgown in the Disney animated film, right? Because this season is a Cinderella story, complete with wicked stepsisters, I believe. Yerin is already part of a big PR push, and British Vogue had a nice interview with her as she was getting ready for this premiere.
Speaking of the wicked stepsisters, I assume these are those actresses: Isabella Wei, Katie Leung and Michelle Mao at the premiere.
A couple more premiere pics: Shonda Rhimes, Ruth Gemmell and Daniel Francis.

|
|
Prince Harry is being ?torn between two worlds? on the cover of this week?s Us Weekly. I guess this is to mark the six-year anniversary of the Sussexit, like ?so what IS Harry up to, six years later?? The thing is, even casual observers are well aware that Harry lives in the US, is happily raising his children in California, and that he?s still married to his hot wife. He?s made it clear that he misses some parts of the UK and he?d like to visit more often, but he?s never expressed any sentiments about feeling ?torn between two worlds.? In fact, this reads more like royalists projecting what they think his life is like, six years after he chose his wife and son over his privilege. Some highlights:
Christopher Andersen on Harry?s holiday vibe: ?Does it pain Harry to be pointedly excluded from times when the royal family gets together, like Christmas at Sandringham? Of course it does.?
Torn between two worlds. ?On one level, Harry is content in California,? says Andersen, noting that on another, he must regret that ?neither he nor his children are sharing in their royal heritage.?
Yet he loves his life in California: ?Harry is so happy living in the private world,? a source tells Us Weekly. ?Even though he was raised [as a royal], he was never comfortable in that environment. He feels more like himself here.? The source says the constraints of the monarchy could be tough on Harry. ?He had this crazy schedule and would come back through the palace gates and couldn?t go out or have a personal life.?
Royal life gave Harry structure and purpose. ?People often forget that Harry is at his core an army officer,? says Andersen. ?He?s all about structure, honor and duty ? things that are missing from his life in Montecito.? Adds royal historian Marlene Koenig: ?Harry?s life was far more structured in the U.K. He had responsibilities and official events to attend.?
Meghan is the breadwinner: ?Although Harry hasn?t settled into a permanent position,? says Koenig, ?he?s spending time with his young children and being a hands-on dad. Meghan is the breadwinner.?
The Hollywood spotlight: While the source says the glare of the Hollywood spotlight is nothing new for Harry, Andersen says he?s still ?somewhat uneasy with it,? adding, ?he has suffered from crippling social anxiety. Meghan embraces that life more.?
On the Sussexes possibly visiting England: Harry, says Andersen, ?wants Archie and Lilibet to get to know their British relatives, especially their grandfather? [and] their cousins, but he can?t make that happen unilaterally. They?re learning about Britain in small doses,? Andersen adds of the kids, ?but make no mistake, they?re growing up Californians.?
The public still holds him to royal standards. ?He?s aware of the optics, but he?s trying not to worry about it because he isn?t a working royal,? says the source, noting that it seems unfair for Harry to abide by standards set by them. He was criticized for attending Kris Jenner?s star-studded 70th birthday bash in November because it took place the night before Remembrance Day in the U.K.; he and Meghan reportedly later requested Kris and her daughter Kim Kardashian remove photos of them at the party from their social media feeds. ?He wasn?t as concerned about it as the royals were,? says the source. Adds Andersen: ?Harry wore a poppy to the party in honor of fallen veterans. [This is] another example of how practically anything the Sussexes do is blown out of proportion.?
Harry?s future: He wishes he didn?t have to choose between his old life and his new one. The source says that despite his September sit-down with Charles (who announced in December that his cancer treatment is being reduced), Harry has no intention of returning to the royal fold full-time, but would be happy to step in when needed. (The source says that things between Harry and Charles ?are going in a good direction.? Andersen says William and Harry remain estranged.) ?Harry has always said the door remains open to some sort of relationship with the royal family,? Andersen adds. ?Meghan?s focused on their life in Montecito, but he?s holding out hope that he can eventually divide his time between California and the U.K.?
[From Us Weekly]
The thing about royal commentators like Christopher Andersen is that they smoke their own supply. They really believe that if Harry?s British security situation goes his way, he?s going to be ?torn? about whether he wants to ?return? to Britain permanently. Harry has made it abundantly clear for years that he wants security simply to VISIT and to bring his children to see their grandfather. These kinds of stories about Harry ?coming back? part-time or full-time are a direct result of Prince William?s paranoia about Harry and Meghan. William is the one who fears Harry?s return the most, and William is the one screaming and crying about it constantly.
Also: while Meghan was definitely the breadwinner in 2025, Harry made millions of dollars off of Spare. And theyre trying to emasculate him by insinuating that Meghan is the one financially supporting the family.

Yesterday, Kensington Palace confirmed some Scottish events for the Prince and Princess of Wales next week. I didn?t think anything of it, beyond a random, fleeting thought of ?that?s weird, they usually don?t take a day trip to Scotland in the dead of winter most years.? Thankfully, People Magazine pointed out the hilarious significance of Willy and Kate?s big Scotland itinerary.
Prince Harry returns to London next week, but most of his family will be out of town. The Duke of Sussex, 41, will be back in the U.K. for the opening of his High Court trial, the final legal step in his series of lawsuits against Associated Newspapers.
However, on Jan. 21, Prince William, 43, and Kate Middleton, 44, have a joint engagement in Scotland, taking them hundreds of miles from the English capital.
The royal couple will first visit the National Curling Academy in Stirling to meet with Great Britains Olympic and Paralympic curling teams ahead of the upcoming Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games.
They will then visit Radical Weavers in Stirling, a working handweaving studio that doubles as a charity where patrons learn about the heritage of Scottish tartan and benefit from the therapeutic qualities of weaving while creating blankets and textiles to give back to those in need.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is expected to be in court for most of the week, as he joins several high-profile figures, including pop star Elton John, actress Elizabeth Hurley and Jude Laws ex-wife Sadie Frost, in suing Associated Newspapers (ANL) ? the publisher of the Daily Mail and the Mail on Sunday ? for alleged illegal information gathering. Associated Newspapers has vigorously denied the allegations, the BBC previously reported.
Harry is also not expected to see his father, King Charles, while he is in London.
[From People]
We?ve known for more than a week that King Charles would be up in Scotland, which is ?his thing? now after Christmas, he and Camilla go up to Birkhall and/or Castle of Mey for several weeks. But I didn?t realize that William and Kate would run the same play they?ve been running for years: ?We have to look busy when Harry?s in town, quick, schedule some last-minute events and throw on a blonde wig!? Last September, when Harry was in England for four days, William threw together a last-minute, half-assed schedule of events in an attempt to look too busy to meet with Harry. Plus, William wants to compete with Harry?s headlines. It was sad, because Harry got wall-to-wall coverage, and barely anyone paid attention to the Scooter King?s pitiful busywork. The ?William is having a nervous breakdown? stories started right after that too. Good times. Well, you know what that means for next week.

|
In the lead up to King Charles?s 2023 coronation, the bulk of the gossip, prognostication and outrage was about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. ?Will Harry come? Will Meghan come? She better not come! They better bring their children! They aren?t allowed on the balcony! Only Archie is allowed on the balcony! Meghan isn?t even welcome!? You get the idea. At the end of the day, Harry came to the Chubbly solo for, like, a whirlwind 24 hours trip, and as his father was waving stiffly from the balcony, Harry was already en route to Heathrow with a clothes hanger in hand. Those same people were absolutely furious that Meghan didn?t go to the coronation and they were even more upset that she didn?t give a fk about their coronation in the first place. Well, three years later and those same people are already obsessing over the possibility that Meghan could ?come back? for a visit in June/July, for the Invictus Games One Year To Go events in Birmingham. Meghan hasn?t stepped foot on Isla de Saltines since September 2022, and I fear that the next five months will be dominated by royalists and columnists obsessively forecasting what Meghan will do, say and wear if and when she visits. Speaking of, Shane Watson?s recent Times column was surprisingly funny about the panic William and Kate are feeling these days:
Last week?s news from the Sussex camp was that Prince Harry is likely to win back his UK police protection so there?s nothing standing in the way of an imminent return. This week?s news is even bigger.
The question we were all asking was: does that mean Meghan?s coming back for the first time since 2022? And now it seems that, yes, Meghan is on board for a summer visit to coincide with an Invictus Games event marking the one year countdown to the games themselves in 2027.
Sources close to the couple think it likely that she will accompany her husband and meet the King (another hot rumour is that Harry would like him to be at the Games), and it seems it?s really happening. If there were any doubt, the Prince of Wales has just hired a crisis management expert, Liza Ravenscroft, who is described by a former boss as ?bulletproof sunshine?, which is a term we?ll now be using a lot (?Come on, we?re arriving at Granny?s ? bulletproof sunshine all round please!?) and also sounds like exactly what the Waleses require in the lead-up to a Sussex grand tour.
Of all the royals, William and Kate are the ones who will need to assume the brace position when the Sussex show rolls into town and, unfortunately for them, Meghan?s year has started with a mega boosting bang.
Thanks to a technical glitch on the website of the duchess?s As Ever brand, shoppers were momentarily able to see how much of her product was left in stock, which then allowed some motivated sleuths to work out exactly how many boxes of her signature ?fruit spread? had been sold. They calculated that so far she has made ? wait for it ? 26.7 million in sales of jam. So, not quite the vanity flop we assumed it would be.
We assumed that the vastly overpriced jam had been dropped off, in moss-filled trugs, on the doorsteps of everyone with more than eight bathrooms in the Montecito area, but it turns out she has legitimately sold a ton of it, and that?s just the As Ever preserves. Who knows what the figures are on the edible flower sprinkles? Some of us may have spent the past year mocking her compulsion to craft and elevate and personalise, but it turns out that against all the odds (or should that be, all our hopes) Meghan is nailing the lifestyle brand game.
All of which is important because ? security or no security ? Meghan was not coming back to the UK as the dutiful wife of the Invictus Games founder. She was never stepping onto the tarmac at Heathrow as the Yoko of the royal family, somewhat chastened by the cancelled Spotify deal, the reduced Netflix deal and the alleged backlash in the US where Wills and Kate?s popularity polling outstrips theirs by some considerable amount. She will happily return now because it will be as one of the Californian business elite, flying the flag of mindful wealth and success ? all of which is going to make it even harder than it would have for the Waleses to swallow, and even more gripping to watch for the rest of us. I think we can say with some certainty that Liza Bulletproof Sunshine will at this moment be war-gaming every scenario in the book for the Sussexes? visit.
On the fashion upstaging front it?s hard to tread on the Princess of Wales?s toes since she has made a point of stepping back from serious fashion, but Meghan won?t be able to resist finding a way. As we know from her appearance on the front row in Paris during the collections, Meghan is on manoeuvres in that area so we can expect dramatic monochrome statements in the evenings and appropriate Kate nudging stuff in the day.
Kate has made connecting with nature her special interest and Meghan gives the impression that?s also her special subject (she?s the jam maker after all, and the honey maker) so you can bet there will be visits to high-profile kitchen gardens, a visit to David Beckham?s garden maybe, some public trowelling and vegetable ?harvesting?. If they come with the children there will be photo opportunities for planting with miniature tools (the sort we know Meghan puts in kids? party bags) and Meghan will find an opportunity to wear a baker boy hat (bigger and more expensive than Kate?s). Archie and Lilibet will find themselves dressed, for the duration of the trip, like the charges of Norland Nannies circa 1958 ? compulsory velvet Alice bands and smocked dresses for Lilibet and tidy chinos and a sports coat for Archie. Then when in London Meghan will want to go to Inter Alia, for sure (it?s a legal-based drama, so she will have it in mind to play the role on Broadway) and they will have to re-route West End traffic.
[From The Times]
While this heavily pays ?the Sussex tax,? it?s funny that Watson is actually saying that William and Kate are panicking about the Sussexes and that?s why they hired the crisis manager. ?She will happily return now because it will be as one of the Californian business elite, flying the flag of mindful wealth and success ? all of which is going to make it even harder than it would have for the Waleses to swallow, and even more gripping to watch for the rest of us.? All of that is correct no one is more upset by the Sussexes? wealth and success than William and Kate. ?I think we can say with some certainty that Liza Bulletproof Sunshine will at this moment be war-gaming every scenario in the book for the Sussexes? visit.? Almost as if that?s exactly why William hired a crisis manager because his brother is going to visit in less than six months. There?s even an acknowledgement that the British press has been rooting for Meghan to fail, but she hasn?t.

Jennifer Lawrence?s 20s were a haze of nonstop work, awards seasons, Doritos and chaos. When she met her future husband Cooke Maroney, she really began to slow down and be more selective about when and where she worked. They got married in 2019, and they welcomed their first son in February 2022. Jen gave birth to their second son last year. She?s very much in the zone of having two kids under the age of four. Which I think influences how she talks about her career and explains why she just referred to herself as a stay-at-home mother.
Jennifer Lawrence might be one of Hollywoods most elite actresses, but she still considers herself a stay-at-home mom. The Die, My Love actress, 35, appeared on a Monday, Jan. 12 episode of the SmartLess podcast and shared that she thinks of herself as a stay-at-home mom rather than a working actor. Lawrence is mom to sons Cy, 3, and a second baby, whose name has not yet been revealed, with husband Cooke Maroney.
Thats me. I identify as a stay-at-home mom, Lawrence said on the podcast. But I am obviously working.
Im not used to being busy like this. I normally have a busy three months while Im filming, but even in that sense, its calm because there is nothing else to do, she continued. I just go to work, I do that, I come home, I sleep, and then I do it again. And then, like, two weeks while you promote. It is hectic.
She also shared insight on her co-parenting relationship with Maroney, whom she described as the opposite of her.
I married somebody who is the opposite of me. He is so organized. Hes an anchor, said the actress. Everything is ordered. I have to keep the closet doors closed, and I have my little jobs that I work really hard to do.
I get it now, I get it. [The kids are] on a very strict schedule. You know, its like breakfast: 7:30, explained Lawrence. Hes good at keeping it. But weve learned [that] to keep our marriage alive, I have a 15-minute wiggle room.
[From People]
I understand what she?s saying, and again, she mostly has been a SAHM in recent years. Since 2020, she?s only acted in four films. Do actual SAHMs feel like Jennifer shouldn?t call herself that though? Like, is it stolen SAHM valor? Is it middle-class cosplay from a rich, Oscar-winning actress? I don?t feel like it is, but maybe I?m just not seeing the controversy. I might be wrong, please let me know.

Armani can be hit or miss, with some looks veering too safe and others a bit too weird. They sometimes knock it out of the park though. Last night was more of the same, and for my money Kristen Bell had the best Armani look. I hate to give it to her, but I love the craftsmanship of the bodice especially, it fits her like a glove and was a standout to me, especially on camera.
Unfortunately shes still married to Dax Shepard. I watched a few Kristen and Dax analysis videos on YouTube this weekend and hes said worse things about her than I remembered, even though I covered some of those stories at the time. Theyre both toxic together and love to tell us about it. Dax lost in the new podcast category to Amy Poehler and Kristen lost in the best actress category to Jean Smart.
Julia Roberts was in this formfitting Armani black gown with a deep v-neck and puff shoulders. I love her Swarovski strawberry necklace and matching ring and earrings. You can see more of the look on her stylist Elizabeth Stewarts Instagram. This is an elegant gown that her styling takes to the next level.
Justine Lupe of Nobody Wants This was also in Armani. Shes been killing it this awards season but Im not sold on this gown. I dislike multi-tiered dresses in general and the color seems too light for her.

Well, the Best Actress Oscar race is still a riddle. Both Rose Byrne and Jessie Buckley won Golden Globes last night for Best Actress (Jessie in Drama, Rose in Comedy) and I think the race is solely between the two of them at this point. But I really don?t have a sense of which one will prevail. I feel like Rose is more deserving in a way? Anyway, Rose wore this fantastic, brilliant green Chanel look to the Globes. It was a custom piece, and you?ve got to think that Rose asked for a version of that famous green dress from Atonement, worn by Keira Knightley. This is the closest I?ve seen any designer come to the Atonement dress. Rose pulls it off because she has the coloring for that vibrant green. Rose?s hot husband Bobby Canavale didn?t join her at the Globes because he was in New Jersey, buying a Komodo dragon. For real.
Selena Gomez wore Chanel, and she arrived with her husband Benny Blanco. If she likes it, I love it (I do not love it). Someone said that it feels like we?ve seen Selena in versions of this dress a million times it does have that vibe, but I can?t blame her for sticking with similar flattering designs and styles.
Ayo Edebiri became a Chanel ambassador last year, and it?s one of those situations where I get why she would sign on for that, but I still wish that both parties would have considered the collaboration a bit harder. Just my opinion, but it hasn?t been a good fit. Chanel has made Ayo a series of rather fussy and staid gowns, and it feels like Ayo is trying so hard to be a bit bland on red carpets.
Maya Rudolph accompanied her husband Paul Thomas Anderson to the Globes, and she wore Chanel as well. I?m not crazy about the dress but she?s Kate Capshaw-ing this moment!
