The Windsors have simply gotten it wrong for years in regard to ex-Prince Andrew?s associations with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. All of them, especially Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles, have mishandled Andrew and everything around him for so, so long. QEII spent more than a decade covering up for her favorite son. Charles?s indecisiveness, dithering and failure to properly assess the situation for years has come back to haunt him. Even now, Buckingham Palace is still furiously trying to do damage control as the Epstein Files keep rolling in. Just this week, Andrew was finally ordered to leave Royal Lodge, but only after he was gallivanting around the Windsor estate, waving and smiling to tourists and getting photographed on horseback. From the Times:
When the King first tried to oust Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor from his Windsor home, it began a two-year battle described by one source as ?the siege of Royal Lodge?. On Monday night, after a two-year stand-off between the brothers ? not to mention a few carefully timed trebuchets thrown by palace courtiers ? the duke finally left his 30 million, 31-room mansion.
Andrew, 65, was driven to Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate, where he will stay while his more permanent home, the nearby Marsh Farm, is prepared. It is understood that Andrew needed ?encouragement? to speed up his departure even after the publication of a picture showing him on all fours towering over a woman in what appeared to be Jeffrey Epstein?s New York townhouse. As courtiers plotted his exit, Andrew was seen out horse riding on the Windsor estate and driving through the property while he waved and smiled at passersby.
A royal source said: ?That he was seen out having a lovely ride, literally on his high horse and smiling and waving behind the wheel, over the weekend while all these damaging reports were dropping was ? well, you might imagine what senior courtiers made of it all. Dismay would be a considerable understatement. I wouldn?t say that was the final straw, but perhaps he finally saw sense and the events of the last few days have thus accelerated the pace of a process that was already well underway, albeit with the renewed and redoubled encouragement of the palace.?
On Tuesday, a fleet of white vans and lorries were seen departing Royal Lodge, which is now at the centre of a new claim made by a second woman who alleges that she had sex with Andrew at the residence. It is also where Epstein was invited to lunch, days after Andrew?s meeting in New York to ?break off? the friendship with the sex offender.
Asked whether Sarah Ferguson, Andrew?s former wife, was still living at Royal Lodge her spokesman said: ?No comment.? It is not known whether their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are still in contact with their parents after revelations that Epstein bought the princesses and their mother tickets to fly to see him shortly after his release from prison.
Andrew has not had a warm reception from his new neighbours, who have not welcomed the media attention his arrival has brought to the area. A usually quiet lane by St Peter church in the village of Wolferton has been full of parked cars, and a broadcast helicopter has hovered overhead. It is understood that Andrew?s new home, Marsh Farm, is not yet ready but the palace hopes the work will be completed by Easter.
A local woman, who asked not to be named, said: ?I think if he has to come and live here, it should be somewhere that?s quite secluded. There are houses that belong to the King that he could go to that wouldn?t cause anybody any bother. The press are all down there. The villagers don?t like that. It?s a quiet village.? She added that a house that was ?out in the woods that?s surrounded by trees and no other houses ? would have been better?.
About two miles away, at the Sandringham visitor centre, Abraham Bruin, 83, from West Walton, who used to work in plant nurseries, was visiting on Wednesday. He said: ?I?m a little bit flabbergasted myself. If he?s an outcast and living on the estate, he?s not an outcast, is he??
A woman who asked not to be named said: ?He?s going back to luxury, isn?t he? He?s being waited on hand and foot.? In reality, Andrew?s new status is far reduced from his previous lifestyle. A residual team of staff have been left behind at Royal Lodge, many of them advised to find new jobs. Only the lawyers? jobs, it seems, are safe for now.
[From The Times]
I?m not going to say that all of this could have been avoided it?s far too late for that but this situation could have been mitigated greatly if Charles had actually taken a hard line, if Charles hadn?t dithered for years and tried to bring Andrew back from the cold, and if Charles actually gave a sh-t about all of the girls and women harmed and abused by Andrew, Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The fact that it was only THIS WEEK, when Andrew was still being photographed enjoying himself in Windsor, that the palace actually went into damage-control mode, doesn?t speak highly of the palace operations.
As for the outrage among locals in Norfolk? yet another thing that the palace wasn?t prepared for. The locals know that Andrew is now living comfortably in Wood Farm, his late father?s retirement home, and that King Charles is still bankrolling Andrew?s lavish existence. Apparently, the staff in Sandringham are in open revolt too they were told that they didn?t have to work for Andrew if he makes them uncomfortable. According to the Sun, ?There is already quite a list saying no thanks. There is understandably a lot of disquiet as he is now a total pariah. But there is also a worry that once he gets comfortable at Wood Farm while Marsh Farm is being finished, they will never get him out again.? Yep. Im sure Andrew will argue that, after everything HE has been through, he deserves to live in Wood Farm.

In the past 24 hours, I?ve lost count of how many British articles have been written with similar quotes and the exact same talking points: Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly Prince Andrew, was absolutely stupid to traipse around Windsor earlier this week following the latest document dumps from the Epstein Files. Andrew was dumb as hell and it?s all on him alone, and that?s why King Charles?s wise advisors ordered Andrew to move immediately to Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate. Charles is wise, Charles?s advisors are brilliant, and Andrew is a big dummy. Just keep repeating that until people actually believe it. You?re not supposed to ask ?but when did Charles know the depth of Andrew?s relationship to Epstein?? You?re not supposed to ask why Charles dithered for years over Andrew, nor why Charles was determined to bring Andrew in from the cold up until last year. You?re not supposed to ask why Charles and QEII signed off on giving Andrew millions of dollars to settle out of court with Virginia Giuffre in 2022. Some highlights from Becky English?s piece in the Mail:
Andrew being widely seen in Windsor earlier this week: Even to the end, he just didnt get it, one royal insider sighed wearily yesterday. Whether it be his block-headed refusal to lie low for his last few weeks at Royal Lodge or his utter intransigence about even acknowledging the many victims of his good friend, Jeffrey Epstein, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsors behaviour has been a masterclass in how not to play out a public scandal.
The Windsors are aghast: Courtiers, and indeed members of his own family, have watched aghast in recent days at the torrent of revelations emanating from the latest dump of Epstein Files out of the US. This has been exacerbated by Andrews pig-headed determination to keep to his daily routine (following a brief but ineffective ban from the royal stables at Windsor), preferring to stubbornly clip-clop past the ever-present photographers on his regular rides in the Berkshire countryside. He has even been seen gurning and waving brazenly from his car to passers-by, in what was described to me as one of those moments you just want to whack your head on the desk. Appalling optics, another in royal circles remarked.
Andrew running off to Sandringham under cover of darkness: Even the numbskull that remains our eighth in line to the throne (and, yes, he still retains this position as it would require parliamentary action both in the UK and the realms to change it) realised that his time was up, preferring to beat a retreat under cover of darkness to avoid the humiliation of being effectively frogmarched out of the gates in front of the worlds media. He was encouraged to think that it would be a good time to move on, another source adds, with Mafioso-like menace.
After all that, Andrew will still pop in to Royal Lodge: In fact, while now officially a resident of Norfolk, we may well still see him pop back up at Windsor from time to time as his move, I am told, is not entirely complete and he may need to stay at Royal Lodge to tie up loose ends over the next few weeks. He is currently in temporary residence at Prince Philips old home, Wood Farm, until his new, relatively modest abode, Marsh Farm, is ready. It is hoped this will be complete by early April.
Demands for Andrew to answer for his crimes: Requests for comment on the continuing slew of revelations to his private secretary, who retains a Buckingham Palace email for security purposes, go unanswered. It is surely a position he cannot maintain. Even his friends who have spoken out in his defence to more Andrew-friendly media than the Daily Mail over the years have gone quiet.
The wise & dithering king: The King has ploughed quite a lonely furrow in recent years in trying to persuade his brother to see sense by handing back his titles, downsizing his living arrangements and showing some humility over this self-imposed mess. Some family members believe he has gone too far and owes his brother a duty of care. The latter point, though, is not lost on the monarch. Its why although the King strongly believes Andrew deserves sanction for a lifetime of appalling judgment (indeed, he and the Queen were the first to publicly offer their sympathies to all victims of abuse, including Epsteins), Charles is now paying privately for his new living and security arrangements.
What?s going on with Sarah Ferguson: As for his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, who while not accused of complicity in criminality has emerged from the Epstein email dump with barely a shred of her reputation intact, there is also a deafening silence. Earlier this week, sources told me that a move abroad was imminent ? on a temporary basis ? in order for Ferguson to take stock of her life and future plans. While no one is saying where she is going, a trip to Australia to visit her sister, Jane, where she has often gone to lick her wounds, may be a safe bet. She does, however, apparently plan to return to the UK and intends to rent or buy a home in the Windsor area, where she retains friends. Whether that actually happens remains to be seen.
Business as usual: For the rest of the wider Royal Family, the only option is business as usual. I have been told that it has been upsetting to see their daily good works overshadowed by the scandal, although they clearly all acknowledge the level of public interest and anger. Sources have told me pointedly that providing testimony is now a matter for Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and his conscience. Remarkably, they have been learning the full gruesome details of Andrews behaviour in recent months in real time along with the rest of the British public.
[From The Daily Mail]
Becky and the palace are trying to do too much all at once. Blame Andrew for everything, facilitate the Windsors? abdication of responsibility for Andrew, and maintain that even though the Windsors are not responsible for Andrew?s crimes, Charles is still going to finance Andrew?s lavish/comfortable lifestyle because of the ?duty of care.? And repeatedly position Charles as wise, decisive and bold, when he?s been anything but. Oh, and the reminder to the British press that now they need to move on from this story because the other royals are busy, pay attention to them, please clap, but don?t ask them about Andrew or what they knew and when!
This just happened today Charles was asked about Epstein on a rope line. He didnt respond.

| | Jeff Bezos-owned Washington Post laid off 30% of all of their employees | | Added 21 hours ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last week, Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez went to the Schiaparelli show at Paris Fashion Week. They?ve somewhat successfully infiltrated these elite cultural spaces, mostly by buying their way into cultural access. They are patrons of this year?s Met Gala as well, and Lauren really, really wants to be a fashionista and accepted in Vogue/Anna Wintour circles. Anyway, as they arrived at PFW, there were widespread rumors in the media world that the Bezos-owned Washington Post would soon begin laying off a good percentage of their staff. Well, after Jeff and Lauren paid people to kiss their asses in Paris, Jeff returned stateside and began ripping apart the Post.
The Washington Post told employees on Wednesday that it was beginning a widespread round of layoffs that are expected to decimate the organization?s sports, local news and international coverage. The company is laying off about 30 percent of all its employees, according to two people with knowledge of the decision. That includes people on the business side and more than 300 of the roughly 800 journalists in the newsroom, the people said.
The cuts are a sign that Jeff Bezos, who became one of the world?s richest people by selling things on the internet, has not yet figured out how to build and maintain a profitable publication on the internet. The paper expanded during the first several years of his ownership, but the company has sputtered more recently.
Matt Murray, The Post?s executive editor, said on a call Wednesday morning with newsroom employees that the company had lost too much money for too long and had not been meeting readers? needs. He said that all sections would be affected in some way, and that the result would be a publication focused even more on national news and politics, as well as business and health, and far less on other areas.
?If anything, today is about positioning ourselves to become more essential to people?s lives in what is becoming a more crowded, competitive and complicated media landscape,? Mr. Murray said. ?And after some years when, candidly, The Post has had struggles.?
Mr. Murray further explained the rationale in an email, saying The Post was ?too rooted in a different era, when we were a dominant, local print product? and that online search traffic, partly because of the rise of generative A.I., had fallen by nearly half in the last three years. He added that The Post?s ?daily story output has substantially fallen in the last five years.?
?Even as we produce much excellent work, we too often write from one perspective, for one slice of the audience,? he said.
The Post?s sports section will close, though some of its reporters will stay on and move to the features department to cover the culture of sports. The Post?s metro section will shrink, and the books section will close, as will the ?Post Reports? daily news podcast. Mr. Murray told the staff that while The Post?s international coverage also would be reduced, reporters would remain in nearly a dozen locations. Reporters and editors in the Middle East were laid off, as well as in India and Australia.
Peter Finn, the section?s editor, requested that he be laid off rather than be involved in planning the cuts once he learned about their scope, according to two people with knowledge of his decision.
[From The NY Times]
Here are the sections with the biggest damage: the book/publishing section; all international bureaus; photojournalism (apparently all or most of the WaPo photographers were fired?); sports and a ?restructuring? of the Metro section. The Post apparently doesn?t think there?s any need for sports coverage just days before the start of the Winter Olympics AND the Super Bowl. And just months away from the US co-hosting the World Cup?? There were WaPo journalists in active warzones (like Ukraine) who got fired via text on Wednesday morning.
As for why all of this is happening, it?s no big secret if you were paying attention in 2023 and 2024. Late 2023 was when Bezos brought in Will Lewis as the new publisher of the Post. Lewis is British, and his background was primarily in the Rupert Murdoch-owned British publications. Lewis was up to his ass in ALL of the British media?s hacking/blagging issues. But Lewis was brought in specifically to try to push WaPo into more conservative, pro-Trump political coverage. On that, Lewis was explicitly doing Jeff Bezos? bidding. When Bezos and Lewis pulled the Post?s presidential endorsement of Kamala Harris in 2024, the sh-t hit the fan. They saw a mass exodus of subscribers and readers. Instead of Bezos and Lewis blaming themselves for their own sh-tty decision-making at all levels, they blamed the Post?s journalists and editors for not being Trumpy enough to entice a new readership.
Also: Bezos is a billionaire who could easily run WaPo at a loss for decades to come and it would make no noticeable impact on his wealth. After all, this is a man who just wasted $100 million on Melania Trump?s documentary, which bombed completely. Hell is not hot enough for Jeff Bezos.

In mid-January, we learned that Prince William had hired a crisis manager, the improbably-named Liza Ravenscroft, to work in Kensington Palace?s communications office. The whole thing was curious while there is an abundance of crisis in and around William, sources made it sound like King Charles was the one to order William to hire a crisis manager, and that Buckingham Palace was tired of KP?s childish and clownish antics. Many asked ?why now?? and ?which crisis is being dealt with at the moment?? Sources insisted Ravenscroft was there to deal with A) the Princess of Wales?s fkups (up to and including sending out a manipulated photo which ended up getting a global kill order from the press), B) William?s screeching hatred of his brother Prince Harry and C) the ongoing debacle that is the Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor situation. Well, weeks after Ravenscroft?s hire, we seem to be getting a better idea of what William and Charles were preparing for. They knew that even more Jeffrey Epstein revelations were coming out, and that their names would be mentioned.
Jeffrey Epstein donated tens of thousands of pounds to a wildlife charity linked to Prince William, several years after the disgraced financier was convicted of sex offences. Documents released by the US Department of Justice show that Epstein donated $50,000 to WildAid in November 2013, the same year that William was named as an ambassador for the charity. Newly released emails show the organisation ? which is also supported by King Charles ? then courted the sex offender to meet its senior executives the following year.
There is no suggestion that the King and the Prince of Wales would have been aware of Epstein?s donation at the time. However, the files give an insight into how Epstein seemingly tried to use philanthropy to resurrect his reputation. The specific emails, sent in 2014, also raise questions about whether Kensington Palace and WildAid should have done more due diligence to ensure that the then-Duke of Cambridge and his father were not at risk of being embarrassed by Epstein?s donations.
Epstein?s donation and the charity?s subsequent engagement with him took place five years after his conviction in Florida for soliciting sex from a minor, and after extensive media coverage of his friendship with Prince Andrew. Epstein was released from prison on 22 July 2009 after serving 13 months of an 18-month sentence.
In January 2014, John Baker, WildAid?s managing director, wrote to Epstein?s office in an attempt to arrange a meeting in New York between Epstein and the charity?s co-founder and executive director, Peter Knights. ?Thanks again for the generous donation from Jeffrey Epstein in 2013,? the email began.
A month later, in February 2014, following the launch of new public awareness campaigns in London aimed at ending the illegal trade in wildlife products such as rhino horn and ivory, Baker emailed again. ?With thanks for the generous support from Jeffrey Epstein and Enhanced Education, we launched our two newest rhino horn PSAs [public service announcements] in London yesterday,? he wrote.
The correspondence shows that after Epstein?s donation had been received, WildAid officials credited his support in connection with campaign activity and publicity involving senior royals and other high-profile figures. It referred to media coverage of campaign events attended by William and other WildAid ambassadors, including film star Jackie Chan. Epstein and his team were encouraged to share the coverage, which also included an extract from a speech by Charles, then Prince of Wales, praising the charity?s work.
Prince William, now 43, worked with WildAid on efforts to combat the illegal wildlife trade during this period. He appeared in filmed public service announcements alongside David Beckham and the Chinese basketball star Yao Ming in 2013, and carried out

Here?s a chronology of just the past week in Nicki Minaj?s life. One week ago, she traveled to Washington to attend one of Donald Trump?s unhinged events. Nicki ended up on stage, holding Trump?s grizzled, makeup-smeared hand. Trump gave her a ?gold card,? guaranteeing her naturalization as an American citizen. The backlash was immediate and most of the Barbz were finally done with her. Then, Sunday night, one of Trevor Noah?s first jokes as host of the Grammys was ?Nicki Minaj is not here. She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues.? The reaction from the Grammy crowd was widespread cheering for ?Nicki Minaj is not here.? Nicki proceeded to have a (drug-fueled?) meltdown on Twitter, complaining about the Grammys and Trevor in particular. She even insinuated that Noah is gay. Now she?s following up on all of that with a podcast interview. The interviewer? Stephen Miller?s wife Kate Miller. Stephen Miller being the Nazi lizard who is largely responsible for *waves hands around* all of this. On the podcast, Minaj ended up talking about Prince Harry. I swear to god.
Prince Harry has been urged to go back home by Nicki Minaj. The US rapper, 43, dished on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as she admitted her heart goes out to the prince after they stepped down as working royals in 2020. The Super Bass hitmaker opened up about her support for US president Donald Trump, music and her family life when the discussion turned to the royals. The Queens rapper admitted she often watches Netflix drama, The Crown, during her downtime.
Speaking on The Kate Miller podcast, she was asked her thoughts on Harry and Meghan Markle, who had a falling out with the royals, most notably his dad, King Charles, and his brother Prince William. After a slight pause, Nicki replied: Well I think he should go home. Like E.T. he should go home. Go phone home and then go home.
The Republican political advisor chuckled at Nickis reference to the 1982 film, E.T. where a troubled child summons the courage to help a friendly alien escape from Earth and return to his home planet.
The rapper went on: I did not think he should have aired the familys dirty laundry.
In a mocking British tone, she added, Thats just me, darling. I have nothing but love for them.
Nicki continued: I just love the Royal Family, as if I know them. But I think us as Americans love the idea of the Royal Family so much. I was just likeurgh. People do things and you dont know why and you dont know whats going on inside of them. So, I dont judge. But I was like, ah man, because I felt like I knew them in some way. So I was like, no Harry, dont do that. You know better.
Speaking in a fake British accent again, Nicki remarked: You know what I mean. But he did what he did.
[From The Daily Express]
It?s consistently bizarre to watch the right-wing/MAGA/Nazi caucus consistently target the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. I?m positive that the whole thing started because of Meghan?s race and her 2016 comment about not voting for Donald Trump. Those two things were ?unforgiveable? to these people, the fact that Meghan is Black and she doesn?t support their demented predator god. But since then, Harry has drawn so much ire from these people. What is it really about? That he left the UK? That he chose Meghan over his white privilege? That he wrote a memoir? Come on, they were furious with him before he even wrote Spare. Harry and Meghan really bring out the worst in some of the dumbest fking people though, it?s just crazy. And it?s become a traditional litmus test for MAGA dumbfks too like, if Minaj hadn?t said this BS, they would have known that she?s not *really* part of their tribe.

I?ve always sort of assumed that Sarah Ferguson was probably interested in Jeffrey Epstein in a deeper way. Not so much that she wanted to be his girlfriend or wife, but Fergie likely saw Epstein as one of the biggest potential marks for her particular grift. As much as Epstein sought these relationships with then-Prince Andrew and Sarah, it?s abundantly clear that both Andrew and Sarah pursued Epstein and wanted to squeeze whatever they could get from him. For Andrew, he wanted access to Epstein?s girls and women, and he wanted to be treated as cossetted princeling. For Fergie, she just wanted money, money and more money. Probably friendship as well, but she was trying to get as much as she could out of Epstein. Well, in the newly-released documents from the Epstein Files, we?re seeing even more correspondence between Sarah and Epstein. It?s definitely a view into their perverse friendship.
Sarah Ferguson told Jeffrey Epstein that ?no woman has ever left the Royal family with her head?, according to newly released files. The former Duchess of York wrote to the late financier via email in July 2010, telling him that she was being ?hung out to dry?.
In May that year, she was caught in a tabloid Sting appearing to agree cash for access to Prince Andrew. She had also undertaken a television interview with Oprah Winfrey in which she discussed her financial difficulties. In an exchange with Epstein in July, she appeared to ask him: ?Have you died on me? Don?t.. Please you are my pillar.?
Epstein replied the following day to say: ?I thought you needed a place for the second week?? Ms Ferguson responded: ?Dear Jeffrey, yes I did need a second place for a week? And I thank you so much, but just as I predicted many many months ago, the british press is ready to exterminate me, and it seems that Price WaterhouseCoopers and the palace system are not equipped to deal with all of this huge wave of negativity. Therefore I have to return to the uk, and be exterminated and face the thunderous music. I am now 1000 percent being hung out to dry, just as I predicted you will see, the Press will have me exiled. I am totally on my own now. This is beyond scandalous and nobody can do anything. I cannot believe what this is all coming to. I have to return to face my judge and jury and be hung yet again.?
She added: ?Just as I always said, no woman has ever left the royal family with her head, and the [sic] cannot behead me, therefore they will discredit me. Totally to obliteration. I have no words.?
At the time, PricewaterhouseCoopers had been engaged to audit her finances. Epstein is shown in the documents to have given Ms Ferguson significant financial help. He provided 15,000 to help pay off her debts, including those owed to a former member of her staff. She later described the decision to accept the arrangement as a ?gigantic error?.
Files also showed Ms Ferguson thanking Epstein profusely for his assistance in helping her with business contacts, and asking his advice. She called him a ?legend? and the ?brother I have always wished for?, telling him in 2010: ?Just marry me.?
The documents appear to show that she visited Epstein just five days after he was released from prison for sex offences, and took her adult daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, with her.
[From The Telegraph]
Sarah loves nothing more than wallowing in self-pity and bemoaning the circumstances she created. ?I am now 1000 percent being hung out to dry, just as I predicted you will see, the Press will have me exiled?? All because she sold access! But again, these are basically campaign donation emails ?please, can you chip in $20K or else I will be exiled!? As for ?no woman leaves with her head? I mean? yeah, no comment.
The Royalist had further excerpts from Fergie?s emails to Epstein, and I find it interesting that so few British outlets are covering these conversations and gossip. In September 2011, Sarah texted Epstein: ?Don?t know if you are still on this BBM but heard from The Duke that you have had a baby boy. Even though you never kept in touch, I am still here with love, friendship and congratulations on your baby boy. Sarah xx.? She heard from Andrew that Epstein had a son?? Wild. Around the same time, she accused Epstein of cutting off contact with her: ?You have disappeared. I did not even know you were having a baby. It was sooooo crystal clear to me that you were only friends with me to get to Andrew. And that really hurt me deeeply [sic]. More than you will know.? She was really laying it on thick.
In other correspondence, it looks like Epstein was keeping tabs on Sarah?s finances as early as 2009. Andrew Lownie has always claimed that Epstein probably loaned Sarah hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years, if not more. It also looks like Epstein was keeping track of how many people Sarah owed, and just where all of the money was going.

Earlier this week, FX/Hulu released the first trailer for Ryan Murphy?s long-gestating project on John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. I thought the trailer was interesting, and I admit, I?m going to watch this (at least the first few episodes, before the quality falls off a cliff). This was originally called ?American Love Story,? but now it?s called Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. and Carolyn Bessette. Paul Anthony Kelly plays John and Sarah Pidgeon plays Carolyn. Naomi Watts plays Jackie Kennedy, and Grace Gummer plays Caroline Kennedy. I just saw that the series will include Michael Bergin, who was Carolyn?s on-and-off lover/ex/friend. Bergin is played by Noah Fernley.
Anyway, they had the big premiere event last night in New York. While I think the ?dressing up in character or on-theme for the promotional tour? bit is tired, I would have welcomed it for this series. It?s jarring to see Sarah Pidgeon promote a project where she?s playing one of THE style icons of the 1990s and Pidgeon just looks so? unlike Bessette. Carolyn would have hated this dress/ensemble, that?s all I?m saying. Sarah wore fresh-off-the-runway Chanel, part of Matthieu Blazy?s debut with Chanel. Technically, it?s a giant ?waistcoat? with feathers, all over a pair of trousers. Meh. Naomi Watts wore Balenciaga.
Sarah also spoke to Vogue ahead of the premiere, as she was selecting her Chanel ensemble. She spoke a lot about how Ryan Murphy?s team was able to pull a lot of vintage ?90s looks to recreate Bessette?s closet they got access to a lot of Yohji Yamamoto, Prada, Herms, Valentino, etc. They also tailored Levi?s jeans to look like specific pairs owned by Carolyn.

Here are more photos from the Princess of Wales?s visit to Pembrokeshire, Wales on Tuesday. She visited yet another fabric mill, and she visited Hiut Denim. Hiut Denim was a smaller Welsh brand, and then Meghan Markle/the Duchess of Sussex wore a pair of their jeans in 2018. Meghan put the brand on the map and they were backordered for months after she wore their jeans. The Meghan Effect, and eight years later, you-know-who is trying to bandwagon.
Meanwhile, Kate didn?t bother to wear a pair of Hiut jeans for the visit. Instead, Kate wore a N. Peal London turtleneck and a pair of too-long trousers from Victoria Beckham?s collection. Remember back in the day when Meghan wore trousers which ?puddled? like this? The British papers used to point it out constantly. Nary a whisper of controversy when it?s Kitty. As for Kate making a point to wear VB? just another piece in the growing body of evidence that the left-behind Windsors have some kind of symbiotic relationship with David and Victoria Beckham, and the Windsors are taking V&D?s side as opposed to Brooklyn Beckham?s side. Brooklyn is officially ?the Prince Harry? of the Beckhams.
But of course, people want to talk about Kate?s coat. While I think it?s ugly, I also find it interesting and sort of out-of-character for Kate. The only pattern she wears these days is ?tartan,? and she made a point of wearing this very 1970s-wallpaper-looking coat which is so heavy on the burnt orange. Apparently, this is a ?Welsh tapestry coat? which is actually from the 1960s. While no one has identified the actual label, Vogue and WWD agree that this was a vintage piece and not another ?bespoke? piece ?designed? by Kate. When you really look at the design and cut of the coat, you can tell that it?s vintage. Because of the quality of the cut coats these days are simply not cut and crafted this well.
During this visit, Kate met a local dog who looks a lot like her cocker spaniel Orla. Kate ended up confirming a story from 2025 Orla had four puppies, and the Wales family kept one of the puppies (a boy). She was asked about her dogs and she said: ?So weve got a little puppy, hes only 8 months, and Orlas 5. I still can?t believe that Orla wasn?t spayed, nor can I believe that no one says a word about James Middleton?s off-the-books dog-breeding operation.

| | What is the earth-shattering secret at the heart of 'The Drama?' | | Added 2 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

There was always a lot of secrecy around The Drama, the A24 film starring Robert Pattinson and Zendaya. Last year, people tried to figure out the big ?secret? at the heart of the film, but it appeared as if the script was on a pretty tight lockdown. Still, people had their theories, and there were some people who claimed to know some of what the big secret is. The story starts out simply Pattinson and Zendaya play an engaged couple just days or weeks away from the big day. They?re trying to write their vows, they?re spending time with friends, they?re reflecting on their first dates, etc. And then something happens and it sets off a chain of events which almost (?) hijack the wedding. Well, the full-length trailer came out this week and it?s clear that the general rumor was correct: Zendaya?s character reveals an earth-shattering secret.
I?ve said this before, but I really love that Robert Pattinson is in this movie, in this kind of role. I?m sure that he?s probably doing something deranged in it and that?s why he said yes, but on the face of it, he should have been doing these kinds of romantic/drama leading-man roles for years! As for the big secret? well, I read some of the stuff online months ago and I?ve wondered ever since if that?s really it. I did hear one hilarious theory though, and I?m only printing it here because I don?t believe it?s real: that Zendaya?s character reveals she?s, like, another Rachel Dolezal, a woman who is just pretending to be Black. If that?s actually it, that would be funny as hell but again, I don?t think that?s it. Given Alana Haim?s reaction to the secret, it feels like the secret is pretty horrifying. Whatever it is, Pattinson?s character is sort of afraid of her after the reveal. Interesting. This better not suck!

You might think that someone with as storied a career as Steven Spielberg has done it all, but he actually hit a new milestone on Sunday: becoming an EGOT! After multiple Emmy and Oscar wins plus one Tony, a Grammy was all that was left for membership to that exclusive club. Steven just picked up his first Grammy for producing Music by John Williams, the documentary that won Best Music Film (beating out the Diane Warren doc Relentless; Warren can?t win!). Steven didn?t attend the awards show on Sunday, but his Amblin Entertainment production company treated him to celebratory EGOT balloons on Monday, which they snapped a pic of ? with Spielberg in the shot of course, this is a film studio! ? and posted on Instagram.
The Jurassic Park filmmaker, 79, achieved the milestone when he won a Grammy Award on Sunday, Feb. 1 for Best Music Film for the 2024 documentary Music by John Williams, which he produced. The legendary director had already received two Academy Awards for his movies Schindler?s List (1993) and Saving Private Ryan (1998); multiple Emmy Awards for producing series like Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Pinky and the Brain and Freakazoid!; and a Tony Award for producing 2022?s Best Musical winner, A Strange Loop.
On Monday, Feb. 2, Spielberg?s production company Amblin Entertainment shared a photo of the filmmaker celebrating his EGOT status to Instagram. The photo shows Spielberg posing with four golden balloons that spell out ?EGOT,? as he hid his smile behind another translucent balloon. ?EGOT status ,? read a caption that the production company shared.
Spielberg received some love from friends and family in the comments of Amblin?s post, with West Side Story star Rachel Zegler writing, ?DIVA!? in response to his celebratory photo. Julianne Moore, who starred in Spielberg?s 1997 Jurassic World sequel, The Lost World, left three ?? emojis in response to the post as well. ?Woohoooo big bro! So proud of you!!? One of Spielberg?s three sisters, Sue, wrote in a comment as well. ?What?s next? Love you!?
Spielberg did not attend the Grammy Awards in person to accept his latest award. ?This acknowledgement is obviously deeply meaningful to me because it validates what I have known for over 50 years: John Williams? influence on culture and music is immeasurable and his artistry and legacy is unrivaled,? he said in a statement on Feb. 1.
The Jaws filmmaker is now one of fewer than 30 people who have ever won all four of the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards. Others who can claim the title include Richard Rodgers (1962), Helen Hayes (1977), Rita Moreno (1977), John Gielgud (1991), Audrey Hepburn (1994), Marvin Hamlisch (1995), Jonathan Tunick (1997), Mel Brooks (2001), Mike Nichols (2001), Whoopi Goldberg (2002), Scott Rudin (2012), Robert Lopez (2014), Andrew Lloyd Webber (2018), Tim Rice (2018), John Legend (2018), Alan Menken (2020), Jennifer Hudson (2022), Viola Davis (2023), Elton John (2024), and Benji Pasek and Justin Paul (2024).
[From People via AOL]
That really is special that he won for a project close to his heart, something that honors his longtime friend and creative partner. Music By John Williams has been on my list of films to watch (it?s on Disney+), now I really need to move it to the top! After all, I love film scores and good documentaries! As for EGOT status, Steven is now the 22nd artist to join the ranks. It?s wild that for nearly 15 years there were only three in the club ? Richard Rodgers, Helen Hayes, and Rita Moreno ? before so many more joined them starting in the 90s. I?ve been perusing a detailed list that breaks down not only who, but also which specific award (directing, acting, etc) and for which project. For anyone working on their own EGOT progress, here?s my advice: PRODUCE. That?s where most of these 22 really started piling on the wins. Also, I miss Mike Nichols. Just wanted to say that.
