| Zooey Deschanel, daughter of a six-time Oscar nominee, claims she's not a nepo baby | Added 18 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Zooey Deschanel and her sister Emily Deschanel are both very successful actresses. Emily was the star and producer of Bones for twelve seasons, while Zooey was an indie-darling-turned-TV-star, and she?s currently moving between TV and film, plus she?s engaged to one of the Property Brothers. Before Emily and Zooey were making their big breaks as actresses, the ?Deschanel? name was already well-known in Hollywood. Their father, Caleb Deschanel, is a well-respected cinematographer and director of photography, and his CV goes back to the 1970s. Caleb Deschanel has worked with directors like Hal Ashby, Barry Levinson, William Friedkin, Richard Sheridan and on and on. He?s been nominated for six Oscars. He?s a big deal! But according to Zooey, being the daughter of a six-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer father does not equal ?nepotism.?
Zooey Deschanel has denied that her six-time Oscar nominee father and actor mother made it easier for her to enter the film and TV industry. The New Girl star has been branded a ?nepo baby? in recent times ? a term referring to beneficiaries of ?nepotism? and given to celebrities with family connections allowing them exclusive access to rare opportunities.
Deschanel?s father is Caleb Deschanel, a cinematographer who has worked on movies including The Lion King, The Patriot, My Sister?s Keeper and The Passion of Christ. He also has credits on other classics including The Godfather and Titanic. He has been nominated for best cinematography at the Academy Awards six times for his work on The Right Stuff, The Natural, Fly Away Home, The Patriot, The Passion of the Christ, and Never Look Away. Meanwhile, the Elf star?s mother is Twin Peaks actor Mary Jo Deschanel (formerly Weir), and her sister is Bones and Spider-Man 2 star Emily Deschanel. Zooey denied that her family made it easier for her to become an actor, in an interview with Lewis Howes on The School of Greatness podcast.
?It?s funny because people be like, ?Oh, nepotism?, I?m like no. My dad?s a DP [director of photography, another term for cinematographer]. No one?s getting jobs because their dad?s a DP. It?s definitely not.?
However, she acknowledged that she received some ?creative? help. ?My mum is an actor and my dad is a cinematographer and a director. I can?t possibly emphasise enough how much creative help I had from my family unit. My dad is a great creative mind and such a talented person. My mum is a great actor and is so nurturing. My mum would coach me when I didn?t have an acting coach, she would help me, read lines with me. She?d be so supportive. I would have so many great discussions about film and filmmaking with my dad. They both would help me. My dad would also read lines with me and give direction. Then having a sister whose an actor. It just makes you automatically have a community, and how much our communities help us ? whether its our families or our found communities.?
[From The Independent]
I just? why can?t anyone just admit it and acknowledge their privilege?? Why do we have to go through this every single time?? It brings up something else I?ve been wondering, which is: do these people not understand the concept of nepotism? It feels like these idiot nepo babies think nepotism is specifically ?my mother called the director and got me this role.? While that is definitely nepotism, it?s more than that it?s having a famous name, having an inside track within the industry, having a well-connected father who has worked alongside some of the best directors in the industry for decades. It?s stepping inside the casting office and the casting director saying ?Oh, ?Deschanel,? is your father Caleb, and are you Emily?s sister?? At the same time she?s like ?no, I?m not a nepo baby,? she?s literally describing all of the privileges she had growing up in a creative, well-connected Hollywood family!

| Sydney Sweeney on horror films: 'You?re just having fun, it's not a movie for the Oscars' | Added 21 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Some of you claim that Sydney Sweeney is a charisma vacuum, but I kind of like her? She gives good interviews, she plays the game, she?s cute and sexy and she?s worked hard for everything she has. She?s not a nepo-baby, she?s a hustler (positive). Sydney is currently promoting the horror film Immaculate, where she plays a young nun who joins an Italian convent and sh-t gets wacky and probably sacreligious too. Sydney is the executive producer on Immaculate, just as she produced Anyone But You, the surprise sleeper rom-com hit. Shifting into producing while still just taking regular old acting gigs is such a smart play for her. She recently chatted with Variety about all of this and more:
Producing & acting in ?Immaculate?: ?There?s videos and pictures of me standing in video village, helping set up other shots, holding the script and switching some things around, all drenched in blood. I felt like a kid at a playground ? endless imagination, and I felt so in control. Mike [Mohan], I?ve worked with him three times, and it?s just a dream, because he values my opinion and lets me take such charge.?
Doing a film about pregnancy/parthenogenesis in a moment when reproductive rights are being curtailed: ?So the script has been around for 10 years ? I auditioned for it when I was 16. And it was a very different draft. I called the writer, Andrew Lobel, and got the clean, original draft, then reworked it to fit who I am today, keeping a lot of the same themes and storylines. And one of the biggest ones that carried over was something innately in the project that, sadly, is still a topic of discussion today. What?s so cool is that there are so many different themes and points of conversation for people to draw their own conclusions or assumptions. That?s what I love ? when a film doesn?t try to drive one message into an audience?s mind and tell them, This is what you need to believe. I love when a film has a variation of ideas and concepts and allows people to conclude their own opinion.?
She always want to do a straight horror film: ?Being in the horror genre is fun, because in that genre, there?s no limitations or boundaries. I always find it so funny when people pick apart a horror film?s rules, or its storytelling. I?m like, It?s a horror film. You?re just having fun. It?s not a movie for the Oscars; you know that going into it. We want to create something good, but it?s fun having characters that can go to such extreme, absurd places, and people don?t question it.?
It?s important to her that her films get theatrical releases: ?I love the entire experience of going to a theater. I love getting your popcorn and your candy, having your group of friends. And I also like that you have to put away your phone. You have to actually live in the moment and live in that world. We are all subjected to watching stuff on our computers or our TV, and we can do multiple things at the same time without really immersing ourselves into this world, letting the outside world shut off. That?s what I love about storytelling is being able to create a new world. Being able to bring people into a theater is to let them shut off the outside world for 90 minutes. It?s fun. It?s exciting. Get off the couch.
The box office success of Anyone But You: ?I get chills just talking about it. We are all so beyond grateful and ecstatic that it has been loved to the degree that it has been loved. Seeing people shut off the outside world and feel all the emotions we wanted them to feel while we were making it, then leave the theater singing and dancing and wanting to fall in love ? that is what the movie theatergoing experience is supposed to ignite inside you.
Whether a man with her CV would get more recognition: ?There?s way more actresses in the pool in this industry than there are actors, so you have a higher rate of competition. But as a male, it?s much easier to do one movie that does really well, and then you can get offered any film that you want. And me, I?m still getting ?Can she act?? accusations. Go watch ?Reality,? ?White Lotus,? ?Euphoria,? ?Sharp Objects,? ?Handmaid?s Tale? ? but, OK, I?ll keep trying to prove myself, and hope that one day I can get cast with an amazing director and have a film that people recognize.
Being an actress-for-hire on Madame Web: ?I want to be as involved in the process for any project moving forward that I possibly can. I love being in the room to be able to problem-solve, and come up with ideas. It?s so important to have multiple people at the table instead of just one ? everybody who can be collaborative and truly help build a project. It takes everybody. On ?Madame Web,? it was so hard not being able to be as involved as I love being. And I felt very free with ?Anyone But You? and ?Immaculate? being able to have that.
[From Variety]
I like that she?s putting her work front and center Variety tried to get her to talk about her body and how (basically) her boobs are going viral every week, and she just kind of shimmied out of the conversation, saying that people don?t see her as real and that she?s still doesn?t know how to feel about it. But again, it?s about the work for her, and it?s so cool that this young woman (she?s only 26) is already executive producing hit movies and she?s so involved with the business side. She?s also right about her CV a man would be handed a superhero franchise with half of her CV.

| Kristen Stewart cried watching the 'I?m Just Ken' performance at the Oscars | Added 22 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
In today?s edition of ?Celebrities Are Just Like Us,? we have Kristen Stewart! It turns out that K-Stew is a huge fan of Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie?s Barbie. She?s such a big fan that she?s even labeled herself ?obsessed? and a ?super-duper fan.? I love that so much! During an interview on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, which was recorded the day after the Oscar ceremony, Kristen got even more relatable when she talked about watching ?I?m Just Ken? from her couch at home. Just like most of us, she laughed and cried, thinking about the magnitude of Greta?s creation.
She loved this year?s Oscars: Oscars were incredible last night, said Stewart, who earned a Best Actress nomination in 2022 for Spencer. Best theyve been in years, I feel. Dont you think it was just a good show?
She got so emotional, baby: I was, for some reason, crying and laughing while watching the Ken thing. Its emotional, dude, watching Greta watch it. When they did the one cutaway of her and she was just, like, front-row belting and looking at the thing she helped kickstart.
Barbie?s biggest fan?: Stewart said shes obsessed with and a super-duper fan of Barbie, which starred Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Kate McKinnon and more. The actress said, though, she did not have Barbie dolls growing up, instead opting for the Weird Barbie-type toys.
Is Marvel in her future?: Elsewhere in the podcast interview, Stewart addressed whether she would star in a Marvel superhero movie. The Twilight alum said shes a yes man and wouldnt say no, though the idea seems unlikely to her. It sounds like a fing nightmare, actually, Stewart said with a laugh.
Her thoughts on blockbuster superhero movies: I like big movies because I like people to watch them when Im in them. The system would have to change. What ends up happening is this algorithmic, weird experience where you cant feel personal at all about it.
She?d do it for Greta: But maybe the world changes, said Stewart, adding, If Greta Gerwig asked me to do a Marvel movie, then I would do it.
[From People]
I wonder if Kristen also re-watches ?Im Just Ken? on YouTube like us normies do, haha. I don?t watch it daily anymore but since it?s right at the top of my search history, I click on it every couple of days because it really does make me smile. I watched Barbie with my kids last week, too. They asked a lot of good questions about it and now my older son sings ?I?m Just Ken? and ?What Was I Made For?? all of the time, lol.
Anyway, It doesn?t surprise me at all that Kristen had a Weird Barbie growing up. I?d honestly be disappointed if she didn?t. I also love that she stans Greta so hard, too. Can you imagine a collaboration between the two of them? It would have to be more of an independent, artsy-type film, right? I also suspect that Greta is high on many peoples list of directors to work with now. A lot of people, myself included, are going to be watching to see what she does next.

As someone who will be seated for multiple viewings of Challengers, I?m not pleased by how little energy Mike Faist and Josh O?Connor are bringing to the promotion. These photos are from the first premiere event for Challengers, which was held this week in Sydney, Australia. Zendaya flew her ass to Australia for this?? And Josh and Mike can?t even bring some drama or chemistry to the photos??
Zendaya?s green ?tennis dress? in these photos is from Loewe and I?m surprised that it?s so? straight-forward and themed. People are in love with this dress and I just find it kind of obvious. I mean, it?s flattering and sexy, but I hope Zendaya and Law Roach play around a little bit more with her promotional styling for this film. Josh is also involved with Loewe (he?s modeled for them) so I hope he gets some interesting looks for the tour as well. People are also talking about Zendaya?s newly lightened hair. It looks good? I like that she didn?t go too light.
One cool thing about Zendaya?s Challengers promotion is that she?s been showing up to big tennis tournaments for much of the past two years. I think she?s become a legitimate fan of the sport. She was just in Indian Wells last weekend for the men?s and women?s finals there, and she posed with Iga Swiatek after she won the women?s title.
Josh and Mike really saved all of their flirty energy for the screen and nothing more!

| Princess Kate's 'close friends & confidants were unaware' of her diagnosis | Added 24 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
Something few people are discussing at the moment: who knew about the Princess of Wales?s cancer diagnosis and when did they know? While some of Kensington Palace?s months of fiascoes can be explained in retrospect with Kate?s cancer diagnosis, that doesn?t change the fact that KP blamed the Mother?s Day photo on a woman with cancer, nor does it explain all of the crazy briefings in the past month, nor does does the timeline make much sense. Maybe we?ll eventually get clarity on some of that stuff. But in the meantime, People Magazine is running exclusives (from their cover story this week) about how barely anyone knew about Kate?s diagnosis.
Always wary of leaks to the press, Kate Middleton had been open about her cancer diagnosis to some, but other close friends and confidants were unaware.
It was a heck of a shock, one tells PEOPLE exclusively in this weeks cover story. Adds a former palace aide: The circle of knowledge was very tight.
In a video that sent shockwaves around the globe on March 22, Princess Kate, 42, revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy. The royal mom, so famous for her unerring poise, spoke about initially keeping the diagnosis private for the sake of our young family, her voice cracking at the reference to Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, whom she shares with Prince William.
Says a source close to the royal household, She held it together.
Behind the scenes, the Princess of Wales has been taking steps to prioritize her health and well-being, but she hasn?t been in complete seclusion. Both she and Prince William, 41, have been spotted at their children?s sports events and lessons in recent weeks. On March 16, the couple were photographed running errands together at Windsor?s Farm Shop.
Having fun together when they can is very important, says a family friend. This is about her feeling supported. She doesn?t feel isolated at all.
Kate?s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, have been an additional source of help, with Carole accompanying her daughter on school drop-offs. Kate?s younger siblings, Pippa and James, along with their families, are also nearby. In a touching statement accompanied by a photo of himself and Kate as children, James wrote on Instagram: Over the years, we have climbed many mountains together. As a family we will climb this one with you too.
While Kate?s health crisis has strengthened the safety net around her, it has also highlighted the royal family?s ongoing estrangement from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who learned the news at the same time as the rest of the world. However, they privately reached out to William and Kate following the announcement and publicly released a statement: We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace.
[From People]
?On March 16, the couple were photographed running errands together at Windsor?s Farm Shop.? Yeah, this bugs me. The Windsor Farm Shop video is, to me, still extremely questionable and I hate that the palace has taken the position now that if you question the farm shop video, you?re bullying Kate. That IS the palace?s position too, and they?ve been trying to cover their tracks ever since Kate?s cancer-announcement video. Someone told Roya Nikkhah at the Times last weekend that Kate ?wants to be able to carry on with as active and normal a routine as possible and not have it become a huge issue when she goes to a farm shop near their home in Windsor, with people then suggesting that?s a PR move.? It was a PR move and a sloppy one at that, given the palace was actively working with the Sun on that story and that video.
As for the secrecy? Nikkhah?s story mentioned that as well, that Kate?s closest friends were caught off guard by the news. At some point, someone will have to ask when Kate?s staffers learned of the news and when Buckingham Palace was informed. Because I think the answer is ?last week? for both.

Since Shakira?s split from Gerard Pique, the gossip media has tried to put Shaki with several celebrity men. There were rumors that Tom Cruise was interested in pursuing her, there were rumors that Shakira and Lewis Hamilton were possibly seeing each other. Then, last week, Shakira posted some photos from her latest music video shoot pics with the actor Lucien Laviscount, who she cast in the video. Lucien is a British actor known primarily to me! as Alfie in Emily in Paris. He was/is lovely on that show and he?s a good looking guy. Everyone thought ?wow, that?s good casting for a music video.? But as it turns out, it looks like Lucien might be Shakira?s new boyfriend.
After Shakira?s Times Square show last night, she stepped out with Lucien and the paparazzi got lots of photos. They went to dinner at Carbone, then they went to Mulberry. If I?m being honest, Lucien did not look into it by the end of the night he seemed a bit shellshocked by all of the paparazzi. Judging by the wealth of photos, a lot of photographers were out to document Shakira and her new man. In case you?re wondering about the age difference Lucien is 31 years old, Shakira is 47. I mean? he seems like he would be a lot of fun. That?s how he comes across in Emily in Paris like a sweet, uncomplicated guy. We?ll see!

| Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce took a week-long vacation in the Bahamas | Added 25 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Taylor Swift completed the Asian swing of her Eras Tour a few weeks ago, with Travis Kelce at her side for her final dates in Singapore. Taylor now has about two months off before the European swing of her tour commences. Reportedly, Taylor and Travis flew from Singapore to LA, where they rested and took it easy for about a week. Then they hopped on a plane for a week in the Bahamas, but they were back in the US by this weekend. They were seen at Nobu in Malibu on Sunday.
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are spending some more quality time together following their recent vacation in the Bahamas. The couple appeared in happy spirits as they were spotted on a lunch date on Sunday at Nobu in Malibu.
Swift and Kelce, both 34, were pictured leaving the eatery hand-in-hand while sporting casual looks for their date. In footage posted on social media, the pair were also seen chatting during their date as they sat at a table to enjoy some al fresco dining.
Their outing comes after sources confirmed to PEOPLE that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and the singer were spotted in the Bahamas for a getaway.
?They vacationed in the Bahamas for several days, a source tells PEOPLE of the trip. It was a much-needed break for both of them. They very much enjoyed it. They are so happy together.?
The day before his Malibu date with Swift, Kelce was spotted visiting his hometown of Cleveland. Along with stopping by one of his favorite restaurants for a slice of pizza, the Super Bowl champ also made time to pose for photos with some fans of his girlfriend.
[From People]
One of the things which interests me about Taylor is how she divides her time between multiple homes. She still has a place in Nashville, she has a home in LA, and she has a huge loft in Tribeca. For a time (the Joe Alwyn years), I?m pretty sure she had a place in London too? But for much of the past year-and-a-half, she?s been mostly based out of New York. When she started seeing Travis, she would fly to visit him in Kansas City, and go back and forth from KC to NYC. It?s just interesting to me that they?re spending all of this time in LA right now. I imagine they do have more privacy if Travis was coming and going from her New York apartment, the paparazzi would be gathered there 24-7. Anyway, I hope they enjoyed their break in the Bahamas! Sounds nice and barely anyone heard about it (other than Deuxmoi).

| Megan Fox gets real about all of the plastic surgery & cosmetic work she's had done | Added 26 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Megan Fox started getting cosmetic surgery when she was pretty young. I remember when she first hit the scene and men were falling all over themselves about her beauty, especially in the Transformers era (2007-09). Around that same time, she started messing with her face, little tweaks here and there. I feel like Botox was definitely involved, plus lip injections, plus a really obvious breast augmentation. For years and years, Megan has never really talked about that stuff, but that?s all changing. She went on the Call Her Daddy podcast and host Alex Cooper asked Megan what all she had done. Megan was pretty honest:
What she hasn?t done: Heres things I havent done that I have been accused of doing. Ive never had a face lift of any kind, so no mid-face lift, no lateral brow lift, although I would like one. Ive never done threads. Ive never had buccal fat done. Ill never have any fat done, Im a very lean person that doesnt have enough body fat or fat in my face, so Ill only ever put fat in, I will never be taking fat out. Which leads me to Ive never had any liposuction, or body contouring or anything like that.
Three different boob jobs: And while she said she had a rhinoplasty around age 23 and has had her breasts done on three separate occasions?the first when she was in her early 20s, the second after shed finished breastfeeding and the third more recently?there is one reason she hasnt had more procedures done. I dont like surgery. My body doesnt react well to general anesthesia, and so when I go to have a surgery its a very big deal. Im very afraid of dying under general anesthesia, so I dont take surgery lightly and therefore I have not had many of them because of that.
She had one more surgery which she?s gatekeeping: Theres one thing I had done that Im gatekeeping. It was really good, and its not a known plastic surgery, people dont even really know about it. I wanted it really badly.
No shame in getting work done: I dont understand the point of shaming people for getting stuff done. Granted, Im not encouraging anyone to do anything crazy. Like I said, you need to be very safe and very careful when you do any of this stuff. But its a very weird thing to shame people for?.The more that Ive taken control of my body and done the things that Ive always wanted to do, the more comfortable I am in my body. And the more freedom I have.
She never had a BBL either: Fox quipped that her fear of anesthesia is ?probably a saving grace? because ?God knows what I would have been up to,? and earlier in the podcast, joked about why she?s never had a Brazilian butt lift. ?I would be so flattered if somebody thought I had a BBL.?
Fillers & a nose job: Fox says shes gotten injectables like Botox and dermal filler, but the only other major cosmetic surgery shes gotten is a rhinoplasty ? and only once. ?I had my nose done when I was in my early twenties,? she says, adding that shes heard people assume shes had multiple nose jobs. ?I havent had a rhinoplasty since I was, Im going to say, 23. Its been well over a decade. Ive not touched my nose since then.?
[From E! News & People & Allure]
She also said that she asked her surgeon to give her the biggest implants he could fit in her body, but then she ended up redoing them and getting smaller implants because the bigger ones were too obvious, especially with the ?rippling.? As for her confessions? yeah, I believe that she?s only done implants to her body. No BBL, no lipo, she?s just naturally slim. Her face on the other hand? Yeah the nose job, Botox, fillers, and she?s done a lot to her lips. I understand that she has body dysmorphia but my god, she started out as such a natural beauty and it?s crazy that she really wanted to look like a plastic doll.

| Shakira: 'For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to' Gerard Pique | Added 27 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Shakira has had a rough few years. In 2022, she learned that her longtime partner Gerard Pique was cheating on her with Clara Chia Marti in their shared home in Barcelona. Shakira left Pique soon after, and he turned his side-chick into his official. Shakira left Barcelona and moved to Miami, but not before the Spanish tax authorities claimed she owed them millions. Shakira made a lot of noise about fighting until the bitter end, but she ended up settling and taking a suspended sentence. Presumably, she?s done with Spain completely now. There was some good news though she released a diss track about Pique which became a huge crossover hit, and now she?s releasing a full album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. Shakira chatted with the Times of London about leaving Pique and Spain, and her fresh start in Miami.
The pressure to sing in English back in the day: When she crossed over to the anglophone market in 2001, she says, ?it was a true challenge for me to export my music in Spanish. There wasn?t so much receptivity from any gatekeepers in the industry and I felt sometimes that I was carrying a whole mountain on my shoulders, like Atlas. It was really hard to gain the respect of a very male-oriented industry that was also very prejudiced against Hispanic artists. All of that has changed. It?s a much more democratic world in which people make their own decisions about who they want to listen to.?
Her diss song, ?Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53?: ?It helped me exorcise a lot of the demons that were tormenting me. And it felt good.? She won a Latin Grammy for the song, which was presented to her by Sergio Ramos, formerly of Real Madrid, the sworn enemies of Piqu?s Barcelona. That was mischievous of the organisers. ?Or a cosmic joke,? she says with a smile.
What her sons think about her diss track: ?They know that there?s only one way to live life and it?s accepting the pain. And each one of us has different ways of doing that.? For her it?s writing songs, and the same goes for Milan. ?When his father and I were going through separation, he wrote two amazing songs, the kind that will bring you to tears.?
Putting her career on hold for Pique: ?For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football. There was a lot of sacrifice for love.?
She hangs out with the Beckhams in Miami: ?I?ve talked to Victoria quite a few times since I arrived. We?re always talking about when I?m going to go watch a match and I know Milan wants to. We haven?t been able to meet up yet, but we?re on WhatsApp. I met David a long time ago, when he used to play for Real Madrid. That was before I started my relationship with one of the Barca players.?
She thinks Pique will regret his choices: She?s more forthcoming about Ultima (Last), a pretty piano ballad on which she sings: ?Surely with time you?ll regret it/ And some day you?ll want to come back to my door.? Is that about?? ?Voldemort, that one that shouldn?t be mentioned? It?s hopefully the last song that I will write about this, and to him.? It was the final song she wrote for the album. ?I felt that there was still something there, stuck in my throat, and I needed to get it out. I played it to the marketing head at Sony and he started crying. I?d never seen a man cry in my studio before.?
Whether she learned of Pique?s affair through missing jam: Did she discover Piqu?s alleged infidelity via a pot of jam? It was claimed in the Spanish media that some of her jam disappeared from their home in Barcelona. She knew that Piqu and their children hated jam and the suggestion was that another woman had eaten it. It?s an outlandish story, but, well, this is Shakira. She claims not to know what I?m talking about, which seems unlikely, and insists it?s ?not true?.
[From The Times]
?For a long time I put my career on hold, to be next to Gerard, so he could play football. There was a lot of sacrifice for love.? In 2022, Shakira gave a cover interview to Elle, where she went in further detail in a raw way of the sacrifices she made to live in Spain, to be with Pique, to put her career on hold to have children. While I know she has no regrets and she loves her sons very much, I?m just reminded yet again that Gerard Pique is a selfish douchebag and that women should always avoid these one-sided sacrifices. Pique got a global superstar to give up her career and be a stay-at-home mom without having to ?sacrifice? anything himself. Then he cheated on her and bad-mouthed her to all of his friends and on and on. Normalize sending your exes to prison.

| Jake Gyllenhaal on if he's interested in stinking up the Batman suit: 'it would be an honor' | Added 31 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Adam West. Michael Keaton. Christian Bale. Ben Affleck. These are all actors who have famously played the Caped Crusader himself, Batman. (I left out Clooney on purpose, *but* I think his cameo in The Flash movie was perfection.) Batman is such a well worn-in property at this point that the chance to play him comes along like six times per generation. Jake Gyllenhaal has long-wanted to play the Dark Knight. And since James Gunn is (infamously) rebooting the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) since taking over in November 2022, he?s looking for a new Batman. In an interview with Screen Rant, Jake commented on fan rumblings about him playing Bruce Wayne?s alter ego, calling it an ?honor.?
Screen Rant: Jake, watching you in these action scenes was absolutely incredible. Like I said, it was deliciously visceral. But a while back, I know that you auditioned for the role of Batman, and I got some Batman vibes in this film when you were beating the crap out of people. Is that a role you?d still be interested in, especially after doing a movie like this?
Jake Gyllenhaal: Oh, man. That?s a classic. It?s an honor. Speaking of playing roles that other incredible actors have played in the past, to me actually roles that other incredible actors have played in the past, which, to me, actually, when I think about it, I?m going to play Iago in Othello with Denzel Washington, and I think about like the history of actors that have played that role throughout time, and I?m intimidated by that. So that?s the first level. That?s what I?m working on right now. But of course. It would be an honor always. Those types of things and those roles are classics.

Alright, I know there?s a good amount of y?all on here who are into this stuff like I am. What are your thoughts at a potential Gyllenhaal Batman? I?m a very hard no on this one. He was fine as Mysterio in Spider-Man: Far From Home but?Batman? Bruce Wayne needs to be played by a certain type of actor and that is not Jake. ?But Rosie,? you may say, ?What about Robert Pattinson?? I did like the RPattz Batman movie a lot more than I expected to. I think it was because The Batman was an artsy, noir, whodunit version of the character set in an entirely different universe.
At the end of the day, let?s just stick with Maggie as the Gyllenhaal sibling who?s involved in a Batman movie. I suppose, however, if Jake wanted to, there?s always a villain or someone else he could play. There?s also that small matter of Jake?s personal hygiene. Will he commit to daily showers if he plays Batman? It gets hot in that suit, even without all of the ass-kicking. You know Bruce Wayne probably takes two to three showers a day. Anyway, if Aaron Taylor Johson really is going to be the next James Bond, then I put Idris Elba up for consideration for the role. Idris would make a fine Batman.
