| Angelina Jolie reportedly spent two nights with Akala in a London hotel' (update) | Added 310 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
For months now, the British tabloids have been trying to make one particular story happen. That story? ?Angelina Jolie is dating British rapper Akala.? Nevermind that Akala seems to have a long-term partner, Chanelle Newman, who is also in business with Akala. Nevermind that Angelina seems to be friends with both Akala and Chanelle. Akala has stepped out to support Angelina frequently in recent months he went to Venice when she was there to premiere Maria. He?s also come out to support Angelina in LA and other cities, and he went to the BFI London premiere of Maria late last week too. Well, because Akala walked the carpet at the London film festival and because his friendship with Jolie is well established, now the tabloids claim that Jolie and Akala spent two nights together in London.
Angelina Jolie?s rumored romance with British rapper Akala is reportedly heating up. The ?Maleficent? star, 49, reportedly snuck the 40-year-old musician up to her hotel suite at The Corinthia in London last week, sources told the US Sun Monday.
?The pair spent Wednesday and Thursday night together inside the hotel and did not leave,? the insider shared, explaining Akala joined the actress two hours after she arrived. ?Akala was snuck out of the hotel via one of Angelina?s cars on Friday ? a couple of hours before the [British Film Institute] premiere for her new movie,? the source added, referring to Jolie?s forthcoming movie, ?Maria,? which was showed at the London Film Festival.
?They are using separate cars and secret entrances to keep their relationship under wraps, but it?s the real deal,? the insider continued.
The ?Eternals? star and Akala both attended the film festival, though they were photographed arriving separately. After the premiere, they cozied up for a romantic dinner at the exclusive Soho House, per the outlet. Reps for Jolie weren?t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
The ?Girl, Interrupted? star and Akala have been romantically linked since May 2024 when the latter attended the Calabash Literary Festival in Jamaica alongside Jolie and her daughters Zahara, 19, and Shiloh, 18. The singer, most recently, accompanied the ?Mr. & Mrs. Smith? star to a party at her Atelier Jolie art room in New York City on Sept. 28. That same week, Akala also tagged along to the premiere of ?Maria? at the New York Film Festival hosted at Alice Lincoln Center?s Tully Hall. While InTouch reported that the duo had been seeing each other for at least a year, a source told People in August that they are not dating.
[From Page Six]
Yeah, I have no idea. For months, I?ve believed that the tabloids were making mountains out of molehills, not to mention being disrespectful towards Chanelle. But who knows. Given the way Akala has been showing up for Jolie for months now, it does feel like more than a friendship. I?ll also say that given the way Akala has been showing up for Jolie, it feels like his situation with Chanelle might be different than ?they?re together/they?re partners.? Like, if your boyfriend/partner is flying all over the place to support Angelina Jolie, that?s probably a red flag? I really don?t know.
Update: People Mag has a new story emphasizing that Angelina & Akala are just good friends. This whole thing is so strange.

| Jennifer Lawrence is pregnant with her second child, with husband Cooke Maroney | Added 311 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last month, I quietly clocked the fact that Jennifer Lawrence totally skipped Paris Fashion Week. In recent years, the Dior shows are one of Jennifer?s few public outings, as she?s been repping Dior for a decade or longer. I thought ?hey, that?s interesting that Dior?s most prominent ambassador skipped their show but who knows what?s really going on.? Well, I wonder if this is what was going on Jennifer is pregnant, again!
Jennifer Lawrences family is growing!
The No Hard Feelings actress, 34, and husband Cooke Maroney, 40, are expecting their second baby, sharing the news via a Vogue Instagram post and article on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Congratulations are in order for Jennifer Lawrence! The Oscar-winning actor will be welcoming her second child with art gallerist husband Cooke Maroney, the magazine wrote in the caption of the post, adding that representatives for Lawrence had confirmed the happy news to the outlet.
Representatives for the actress did not immediately respond to PEOPLEs request for comment.
The couple ? who wed in October 2019 ? are already parents to son Cy, 2, who they welcomed in February 2022.
[From People]
I?m happy for her. She got to a point, I would say pre-pandemic, where she was so overexposed and really yearning for a more stable life with a husband and children. She clearly loves being a mom and it would not surprise me at all if she ends up with three or four kids total. I don?t know how far along she is, but that Vogue IG shows that her bump is pretty tiny. If her first pregnancy was any indication, she?s probably barely going to be photographed during her second pregnancy as well. Does she have any promotional tours coming up? Let me look?nope. She has several projects in development, including that Real Housewives-esque movie, The Wives. She?ll either have to shoot that pregnant or they?ll hit pause on it for a year.

Angelina Jolie stepped out on Friday at the BFI London Film Festival premiere of Pablo Larrain?s Maria. Pablo was there too, and they looked like they were about to do an artsy remake of Ocean?s Eleven. I?ve been trying to keep track of how many festivals Angelina has attended this year so far: Venice, Telluride, Toronto, New York, now London and soon the AFI Fest in LA. All of this is ahead of the December release date a limited theatrical run and a big premiere on Netflix. Fingers crossed that Netflix puts some money in this Oscar campaign.
As for Angelina?s look in London? it?s interesting because she eschewed the sack dresses she?s favored in recent years, and she went for a much more old-school look. Back in her 20s, Angelina rarely wore dresses. She was all about leather pants and menswear. In London, she wore a three-piece tuxedo suit from Dolce & Gabbana?s menswear collection. Maybe she?s doing this with some kind of agenda, but my first thought was ?of course she?s wearing menswear, all of the women?s suits these days are absurd.? Women?s suits have giant shoulder pads or puffed out shoulders or too-long sleeved or weird darting or terrible collars. Jolie was like? no thanks, I want a normal suit jacket. I like this look from the hips up the pants are not great. But I like the boots.
The Santa Barbara International Film Festival always encourages would-be Oscar-campaigners to make the trek to shill their movies by the beach every awards season, usually in late January or early February. It will be the same next year, and Santa Barbara really wants Angelina to come out. So they?re giving her an award the Maltin Modern Master Award, named after film critic Leonard Maltin. Maltin told Variety: ?Angelina Jolie makes bold choices, both as an actress and as a director. She sets the bar high in both disciplines and always comes through. I look forward to reviewing her career with her in Santa Barbara!? That should be really nice.

| Keri Russell: 'I?m not gonna lie. I do think that Kamala will win' | Added 314 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Keri Russell is promoting The Diplomat Season 2, which comes out just days before the presidential election. Keri covers the latest issue of Variety, and she talks about the election and the real-world politics of The Diplomat, as in? what does the international political and diplomatic world look like post-Trump? It?s barely acknowledged here in America, that four years of Trumpism severely strained our alliances with many countries. Keri plays a career diplomat unexpectedly tasked with becoming America?s ambassador to the UK. Shenanigans ensue. Some highlights from Variety:
Keri on whether she?ll endorse Kamala Harris: ?If I had my wish, I would be invisible ? that?s who I am. I would give all the money in the world, but I would be invisible. Someone like George Clooney, he?s at an age, he should swing and swing hard.? And Taylor Swift? ?Oh, fking swing and swing big. She should absolutely be doing everything she?s doing. But nobody cares about me. I just want to be hidden in my little cave. But I will give, I mean, yes. And I?ve listened to every Ezra Klein podcast about her ? you know what I mean? I don?t think I?m gonna sway it one way or the other; I have no social media. But the heavy hitters should stand their ground. Listen, if someone asks me directly, I?m not gonna lie. I do think that Kamala will win.?
She doesn?t like playing girly, pretty characters: ?A gift about that show, and a little bit ?The Diplomat? too, is I got to wear these big baggy sweaters, and I hardly wore any makeup. I would watch the girls who were, like, the guest stars ? the beautiful girls who would come on and have to wear girl clothes? ? and I see how nervous that makes them. It?s hard to be beautiful; it?s much easier just to be in a big baggy sweatshirt and sneakers. Don?t get me wrong, I love the beauty of women, too, and I like dressing up, and I like, you know, wearing makeup when I need to. But there?s so much more to being a girl than that. And I think some girls get stuck in that, you know? It was such a gift to just get to wear big baggy sweaters and just get to be funny or smart. So I was less nervous.?
Divorcing her first husband Shane Deary & falling for Matthew Rhys: She has a son, River, now 17, and a daughter, Willa, 12 ? with her then-husband, Brooklyn contractor Shane Deary. They separated in 2013, and Russell and Rhys fell in love that same year while shooting the show?s first season ? she gave birth to their son, Sam, now 8, between its fourth and fifth seasons.
?I was in love with Matthew. We were, like, hot and heavy in love, shooting the spy stuff at night in disguises and wigs. I mean, it was such a fun, sexy time. So fun, oh my gosh.?
Deciding to do ?The Diplomat? & forcing Matthew to step up as a hands-on father: ?I have done the birthday cupcakes,? she told him. ?I have done the doctor?s appointments and the scary nights and the washing laundry. And I have been there. I?ve done the back rubs, but I want three months ? or a fking year! ? where I don?t. It?s someone else?s turn ? pick up the slack.? And he did. And it was hard. You know, Matthew was shooting at the time, too, and I?m sure that was hard, because he was trying to fly back and forth. And I was like, ?Yeah, it?s hard ? it?s called being a mom.??
[From Variety]
Keri really is so private and low-key that she never had to face down the would-be scandal of her first marriage ending because she had fallen in love with her costar. Like, it wasn?t even a blip in the gossip media. The thing about Keri telling Matthew to step up is really good too, because yes, he should be doing more and she wanted to do this amazing series. Men need to step up and be supportive partners, but it?s like pulling teeth most of the time.

| Jerry Seinfeld: I was wrong when I claimed the 'extreme left' is ruining comedy | Added 315 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|

|
|
|
This past spring, Jerry Seinfeld gave a series of very strange interviews. He edged up to making some okay points about how the film and television industry has changed and how comedy has evolved. But then he bungled it by saying a lot of dumb sh-t so no one paid attention to what arguments he was actually trying to make. Like, he started out by complaining about the dearth of good-quality network comedies, then he blamed that dearth on ?the extreme left and P.C. crap, and people worrying so much about offending other people.? Well, months later, someone finally got to him. Seinfeld walked back all of that ?extreme left is destroying comedy? bullsh-t in a new podcast interview:
Jerry Seinfeld is walking back polarizing comments he made to The New Yorker in April while promoting his Netflix movie ?Unfrosted.? The comedian went viral for saying TV comedy had been killed by the extreme left and P.C. culture. Seinfeld noted at the time that ?people [are] worrying so much about offending other people? and comedy is suffering as a result.
Seinfeld is now taking those comments back. He appeared on the latest episode of his friend and fellow comedian Tom Papa?s ?Breaking Bread? podcast and said he ?regrets? blaming P.C. culture for destroying comedy.
?I said that the ?extreme left? has suppressed the art of comedy. I did say that. That?s not true,? Seinfeld said. ?It?s not true. If you?re a champion skier, you can put the gates anywhere you want on the mountain and you?re going to make the gate. That?s comedy. Whatever the culture is, we make the gate. You don?t make the gate, you?re out of the game. The game is where is the gate and how do I make the gate to get down the hill.?
?Does culture change and are there things that I used to say that [I can?t because] people are always moving [the gate]? Yes, but that?s the biggest and easiest target,? Seinfeld added. ?You can?t say certain words about groups. So what? The accuracy of your observation has to be 100 times finer than that just to be a comedian? So I don?t think, as I said, the ?extreme left? has done anything to inhibit the art of comedy.?
Seinfeld also refuted claims that he once said he would never perform at colleges because the students have become so P.C, saying: ?First of all, I never said it, but if you think I said it, it?s not true. I play colleges all the time. I have no problem with kids, performing for them. I was just at the University of Indiana. I do colleges all the time.?
[From Variety]
I?ve watched a few dozen of Seinfeld?s Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee episodes, and from that show, I know that Seinfeld still longs for what he considers ?the good old days? of stand-up comedy. It also feels like he really tries to pay attention to what?s currently happening in stand-up, which means he actually knows that there?s still fertile ground to cover in comedy, even with the cultural shifts in what?s funny and what?s harmful. Basically, I think Seinfeld completely miscommunicated his outlook earlier this year, and he sat there and really listened to the conversation in the months since then. Maybe he even talked to comedians who are still doing stand-up and writing for network comedies and he was like ?you know what, I was wrong.?

| Olivia Rodrigo fell through a hole on stage, 'oh my god, that was fun' | Added 316 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Olivia Rodrigo had the honor, nay, the privilege of being granted an audience with the King of Australian king penguins: Pesto, the giant baby penguin. The grand meeting happened last week at Pesto?s palace, the Sea Life Melbourne aquarium, where Olivia was in town for four stops on her Guts World Tour. While everything after meeting Pesto was naturally going to be a let down by comparison to the fluffy king, I didn?t think things would go downhill so immediately or literally. At her Sunday performance in Melbourne, fans caught on camera Olivia very dramatically falling through a hole on stage. Who left a gaping hole on stage?! Pro that she is, Olivia popped back up and quipped, ?Oh my god, that was fun.? Oh, to be young? and able to spring back from a fall so easily.
It really is brutal out here. Olivia Rodrigo?s lyrics imitated life when she took a nasty tumble through a trapdoor while on the stage during her Guts World Tour show in Australia.
The ?bad idea right?? singer, 21, was performing at Rod LAver Arena on Sunday, Oct. 13, in Melbourne, when she suddenly disappeared after accidentally falling through a trapdoor.
As the crowd gasped, Rodrigo came up for air and joked about the incident.
?Oh my God, that was fun! I?m OK,? the Grammy winner said, chuckling at her unexpected tumble while pulling herself up.
?Wow, sometimes, there?s just a hole in the stage,? she laughed. ?That?s alright.?
Trying to compose herself, the ?Vampire? singer took a deep breath and stated, ?OK, where was I? How?re we doing tonight, Melbourne??
Rodrigo quickly recovered from the spill and finished the concert without another fall. She later poked fun at the mishap via TikTok.
Posting a clip of the accident, she captioned the footage, ?#subtleforeshadowing.?
The pop star has several shows left on the Australian leg of her first-ever world tour: one more in Melbourne and four in Sydney.
Rodrigo?s plunge happened just weeks before the release of her Netflix concert film, ?Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour.?
The streaming giant filmed the special at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. The film promises to give fans a look inside her sold-out tour, featuring songs from her latest album, ?Guts,? and her debut record, ?Sour.?
It?s available to stream on Netflix starting October 29.
?I am so excited to share the GUTS World Tour with my fans,? the star said in a statement. ?For those of you who didn?t get a chance to rock out in-person, now you can have the best seats in the house! And to the fans who cheered, screamed, and danced with me, I am so glad we get to do it all over again!?
Rodrigo?s 2024 touring year will end after her remaining stops in Australia ? but she won?t be on break for long.
The ?Deja Vu? singer?s overseas tour will resume in March 2025 at Lollapalooza in Argentina, Chile and Brazil. Rodrigo will also head to Colombia for Festival Estereo Picnic before ending in Manchester on June 30 and July 1.
[From NY Post]
Seriously, who left the trap door open on that stage?! This was not her first show in Melbourne, so presumably she?d performed at the venue before without any mishaps. There is no way this problem wouldn?t have been discovered and fixed if a proper pre-show stage check had been done. In terms of danger level, this reminds me of someone switching out Kesha?s prop knife with a real butcher knife at Lollapalooza this summer. Watch the video below ? Olivia falls through that hole hard. And not surprisingly, given that the trap door is seamlessly camouflaged with the stage. Thank goodness it appears she wasn?t badly hurt. And good on her for finding a way to laugh about it, a la Lainey Wilson when she realized her pants had split open on stage. All of these women handled their near-catastrophes like champs. Still, they deserve a better job of safety being secured before the show goes on.

| Sandra Bullock: Speed 3 will be 'the geriatric version. It won't be fast' | Added 316 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last week, Sandra Bullock, Keanu Reeves, and director Jan de Bont reunited at Beyond Fest for a 30th anniversary screening of their movie, Speed. I love that movie (and Sandra and Keanu!) so much. As a part of the evening?s events, the trio did a Q&A about the movie. During the Q&A, Sandy spoke about her audition to play bus driver Annie Porter, which included describing a hilarious visual of acting out the scene using a folding chair and a paper plate as the steering wheel. Keanu and Jan also went down memory lane to to talk about her casting process. Of course, they also addressed the question of whether there?d be a third Speed movie.
?I was the new kid on the block and it was nerve-wracking,? Bullock said onstage at Beyond Fest at American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre on Oct. 8. ?I remember arriving there, I remember the car I drove, I remember what I was thinking.?
Turning to Reeves, 60, and Speed director Jan de Bont, she added, ?I walked in, I remember the room was kind of dark. You guys had it dark!?
But what made the audition especially memorable was the way de Bont, 80, and Reeves had improvised a makeshift bus. ?There was a folding chair, there was a paper plate,? said Bullock with a laugh. The plate, of course, ?was the steering wheel I was handed.?
So pretending to drive a bus with only ?Keanu, Jan, the carpeted floor, a folding chair and a paper plate,? she added, meant harnessing the power of her actorly imagination. ?All my acting classes all came together and went out the window,? quipped Bullock.
?The moment I saw you, I knew that you would be the driver,? de Bont said to Bullock, whose character takes over driving a Los Angeles bus rigged to explode if its speed drops below 50 mph.
Bullock acknowledged that that may have been the Dutch filmmaker?s takeaway from the audition, but added that she?s met actresses who were up for the role before her. ?You saw me after one, two and three couldnt do it,? she teased. ?Then you saw me in the dark room.?
Reeves, who in the film plays SWAT team officer Jack Traven, admitted that he remembered Bullock?s audition albeit without much detail. Of his own casting, he said, ?I met this mad genius [de Bont] and I was like, Oh, f, man. This is a director, this is a person with a vision. This is someone who has a passion for the story.?
The Matrix star added with a smile, ?Then I got Sandra.?
?No,? Bullock corrected playfully. ?There were three others.? When Reeves claimed he didn?t remember other actresses, she said, ?That is why I love him.?
?I have never been so proud of those two actors, what they did for me, reflected de Bont. What they had to do is just unbelievable. But the relationship that those two created together is absolutely amazing.?
Of the possibility of a third film ? which the Beyond Fest audience greeted with an enthusiastic round of applause ? de Bont said, ?I think it would be a different movie.? Nodding to Bullock and Reeves, he continued, ?It would be great to work with them [again].?
Bullock quipped that a Speed 3 would be ?the geriatric version. It wont be fast.?
Up next, Reeves will reprise his role as John Wick in 2025?s Ana De Armas spinoff Ballerina and star in Aziz Ansari?s Good Fortune. Bullock?s upcoming projects include a sequel to Practical Magic costarring Nicole Kidman.
[From People]
I did some Googling, and it looks like the other two actresses who were considered to play Annie were Halle Berry and Ellen DeGeneres. Halle was offered the role when the character was written as a paramedic (she declined and later regretted it) and Ellen was considered when it evolved into a comedic sidekick. I cannot see the Ellen casting at all and am super glad that they didn?t keep Annie as a comic relief. I think Halle could have done a good job with the role, but it would have been a different movie. Sandra?s casting as the bus driver was perfect, though, and I?m happy it introduced her to the rest of us.
Keanu and Sandra have both joked before about a third Speed movie being a ?geriatric version.? In a joint interview on the Speed-themed podcast ?50 MPH,? Keanu expressed interest in doing a third movie, while Sandy joked, ?Are we, you know, in wheelchairs or with walkers? Maybe. Maybe.? I don?t need them to work together on another Speed movie, but if it?s going to happen, then I say embrace the action and make it the perfect opportunity to prove that 60 is the new 40!
One week since one of the best nights EVER A legendary night at the Egyptian Theatre celebrating the 30th anniversary of SPEED (1994) with filmmaker Jan de Bont + actors Sandra Bullock & Keanu Reeves for @beyondfest 2024!

As a non-Swiftie, it amuses me to watch Taylor Swift beclown her fans with the long-sought after but never released Reputation (Taylor?s Version), her modern rerecording of her 2017 ?comeback? album, after the ?cancelation of 2016.? People have been begging for RepTV for two years, maybe longer. She still hasn?t released it, but she has been giving her fans some visual clues that RepTV is imminent. The Swifties are still playing along. Well, this morning, Taylor was supposed to make a big announcement. People were once again wondering if this would FINALLY be RepTV. It was not. Taylor is releasing an Eras Tour book and a vinyl and CD ?anthology? version of The Tortured Poets Department.
We?ll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour this week, which is hard to comprehend. This tour has been the most wondrous experience and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way. Well, two ways actually. | Minnie Driver: 'In England, I felt I was punished' for being ambitious' | Added 319 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Minnie Driver lived and worked in America for nearly three decades. Many British celebrities view America as a place to work but disparage as a place with inferior culture compared to Britain. But Minnie loved her life in California, living in a fancy trailer in Malibu and raising her son Henry. Nowadays, she splits her time between California and the UK, because Henry goes to school over there. But she has nice things to say about America and awful things to say about Donald Trump in an interview with the Times of London. Some highlights:
Her ?Cinderella moment? while promoting ?Circle of Friends? in America. Landing in the US having lost the weight again, she was treated to the full Hollywood glam-over. ?They came at my hair and blow-dried it straight. And they got me a good bra and the right size jeans. And suddenly I was sleek. Suddenly, I was revealed to myself as being a girl who was pretty, and it was so exciting.?
Being 54 years old: ?I?d much rather have my face when I was 25. But I certainly wouldn?t want to have to go through all that sh-t again, of all the other attendant stuff that was coming down the pipe.?
She?s back to living in London after 27 years in Los Angeles. ?I will always be between both places, but my son?s at school here, so if I?m not working, I?m wherever he is.?
She stopped making movies when she became a mother: ?It?s why I stopped making movies, really consciously. I called my agent and went, ?OK, I?m having a baby and I would really like you to go and look for a show that?s called Shoots in Los Angeles and will pay me a regular wage. I couldn?t be travelling. I couldn?t be taking a tiny baby to Romania ? and I didn?t want to. As a single mum, I didn?t want him to have that uncertainty. I wanted him to have school and football and mates and tea and his own bed and our house.?
She was happy to find work in America: ?In America there was just this idea of, ?Whatever you want to do, try it. Do it. Throw everything you have at it and see what happens.? There is this idea that you?re allowed to renew and to change course; you?re allowed to pivot. I can be a writer, I can be a musician, I can be a mother, I can be an actor ? you don?t have to be just one thing. In England, I felt I was punished for wanting more. I was punished for being ambitious. The British press think it?s greedy for me to want to be more.?
Whether she believes things really changed with #MeToo: ?Yes, I do. But not because of some kind of systemic epiphany that men had. Rather, because they know that there?s accountability now. There are actually mechanisms in place [which mean] that kind of behaviour can?t be hidden. And I think #MeToo put a dent in it, but I just don?t know whether that power dynamic is ever really going to be redressed. Revolutions are bloody. People want to maintain the status quo for as long as they possibly can until they absolutely can?t and then, kicking and screaming, people will change.?
Another big change for the industry: ?I watched Challengers the other night and what I loved most was seeing that Zendaya was a producer. Not an executive producer ? a producer.? She namechecks Margot Robbie, the creative force behind Barbie. ?They?re like, ?I?m part of this creation, I am making this happen.? And I think maybe that is how it changes. We all should have been doing that back in the Nineties. When I think about the work that I did on scripts, the fixing things, the making stuff better, absolutely uncredited. I made so many of the roles that I was in through improv, through rewriting, through ideas that were all then completely uncredited. So what?s great is that these girls are now getting credit for it.?
She is British but: ?I identify as a Californian.? Driver is more anxious than jubilant [about Trump?s felony conviction]. ?He?s going to say that the whole thing is like the election, that it?s corrupt. Of course he deserves to be in prison ? of course he does. But just looking at how much money he raised in that two days, $53 million in a 48-hour period, and the idea that because the founding fathers ? if there had been some mothers involved perhaps it would be different ? left no room in the constitution for the idea that the American people could be so stupid as to vote for a felon, there is nothing reflected in the judiciary about what would happen if he wins. It?s a pickle when you?ve got the Secret Service already scoping out prisons, going, ?What would this look like?? ?
Whether she would live in America again if Trump was reelected: ?If I lived in a red [Republican] state, no, I couldn?t. But living in California, you are somewhat insulated. But do you want to go and live in a bubble? Do you run away from the fire or do you go back and help?? It?s not just Trump himself, she says, but ?the revelation of the 70 million people who really quite like a bit of a racist attitude and non-existent immigration policies and dismantling the environmental agencies. And they were always there; they weren?t created by him. He?s just a symptom, and now they?ve got a mascot.?.
[From The Times]
Yeah, her assessment of Trump and the MAGA cult is dead on. Trump IS a symptom. The thing is, while I think the cult is a fundamental crack in America?s foundations, I also feel like it?s an underreported story especially by the American media that the cult seems to be less enthusiastic these days. The same energy isn?t there. Minnie?s right about being insulated from everything in California too, and she?s right about how the industry has changed.

Sarah Ferguson was in New York two weeks ago, did y?all know that? I didn?t. There was barely any coverage of her visit in the American or British media. She was in NYC for UN Climate Week, same as Prince Harry. She hasn?t said if they saw each other. She was invited to the launch of Youth Impact Council, which has asked her to be a Founding Ambassador. To celebrate, Fergie spoke to People Magazine about her love of New York and her love of America, in general.
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has a special place in her heart for the city of New York. In an interview with PEOPLE on Sept. 25 during New York Climate Week, the Duchess of York reflected on her experiences in the city. During her visit, Ferguson, affectionately known as Fergie, announced the launch of the Youth Impact Council, a new nonprofit organization where she will serve as Founding Ambassador. The council aims to elevate the voices of youth activists who are making significant strides in climate action, social justice, and innovation.
When asked about her plans during her time in N.Y.C., Fergie referenced a quintessential delicacy ? a hot dog with mustard, ketchup, sauerkraut and relish!
It was so good! And everyone laughed at me, saying, You can?t possibly eat the hot dog. And I said, Oh, yeah, got in the car, and what did they do? [They] all wanted to eat it! she tells PEOPLE.
I like to get yellow cabs, the Duchess of York, 64, shares about her N.Y.C. traditions. My favorite film is An Affair to Remember, so every time I see the Empire State Building I think of Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I know youve seen Sleepless in Seattle, but I remember An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant.
New York has been my home. The American people are extraordinarily kind to me, Fergie tells PEOPLE. I feel I am very Anglo-American. I know the language. I got it down. I don?t say lift, I say elevator. When I arrive in America, I speak American. Sort of. With a posh voice, she jokes.

Fergie has never really talked sh-t about America America gave her a second chance, she made a lot of money in America, and she clearly enjoys the vibe here. She, more than anyone else associated with that family, understands why Harry chose to move to California. A fully-loaded hot dog though?? Even I wouldn?t do that. Okay, maybe I would get one without the sauerkraut.
