Last week, just hours after the Palisades fire began its rampage through thousands of acres of densely populated Los Angeles, Kim Kardashian?s Skims company ran a series of social media posts about the company?s winter sales. Given that Kim and most of her family live in LA County and given that Skims is mostly an LA-based company, you would think that the social media people would be more engaged in what?s going on in their area. So, mistakes were made and the company looked tone-deaf, as did Kim (even though she probably wasn?t sending out those sales alerts). To make up for it, Skims announced that they are donating clothing, underwear and necessities to victims of the wildfires.
Kim Kardashian?s SKIMS clothing brand is donating clothing and other necessities to families affected by the Los Angeles wildfires that have destroyed large portions of the area this week.
?We have donated to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation providing critical resources to the heroic first responders protecting our city,? the reality star and businesswoman wrote on her Instagram Story Friday. ?Additionally, we are making a sizable donation of underwear, clothing, and socks to Baby2Baby to help those displaced by the fires.?
Baby2Baby is a nonprofit organization that provides children in need with diapers, clothing and other basic necessities.
?As our community faces the devastation of the Los Angeles fires, our hearts are with all those impacted, and we are committed to helping during this challenging time,? Kardashian, 44, penned on another Story slide. She urged fans to donate to the cause as well.
?Together, we can bring hope and relief to those who need it most,? she noted.
Her announcement comes after she was slammed for being ?tone-deaf? while promoting her SKIMS winter sale this week.
Kardashian and her family were not immediately in danger when the original Palisades Fire erupted on Tuesday, as they live in the Calabasas and Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles, which is northwest of the Palisades.

At first, I honestly thought Kim was being slammed for donating underwear, but no, it was all about the sales alerts. People will think the worst of Kim and her family, but those Skims donations will help. People have lost everything, and having clean underwear and a fresh pair of sweatpants will make someone feel a little bit better, you know? Also: according to TMZ, most of the Kardashian clan had to evacuate from Hidden Hills, the gated community where many of them have homes.

Among the surprises in this week?s SAG award nominations (of which there were many), was Jamie Lee Curtis showing up in the supporting actress category. Jamie costars with Pamela Anderson in The Last Showgirl, and while Pamela has been on the campaign circuit, Jamie hasn?t been working it the same way. Except this week she did do a bit of promotion, appearing on The Tonight Show on Wednesday. You wouldn?t think much of an actor going on TV to support a project, except that Jamie lives in the Pacific Palisades which, as Jamie said to Jimmy Fallon, ?is on fire right now.? So instead of canceling on Jimmy, Jamie used the platform as a plea/PSA to viewers. She implored people to do anything they can to help, whether it?s donating money or blood, and she also encouraged everyone everywhere (all at once? not sorry) to pack an emergency kit of essentials in case you have to flee. To quote Tom Hanks in A League of Their Own, ?That?s good advice!?
?I flew here last night. I was on a plane, started getting texts, and it?s f?king gnarly, you guys,? she said. ?It?s just a catastrophe in Southern California.?
?Everything,? she added. ?The market I shop in, the schools my kids go to, friends ? many, many, many, many friends now ? have lost their homes. So it is, it?s a really awful situation.?
She said she intended to return home ?first thing tomorrow? to be with family and assist friends, and encouraged viewers to support the American Red Cross and do ?whatever you can do? to help, including giving blood and donating to animal shelters.
She also reminded people across the country to always have an evacuation kit prepared.
?Have an emergency kit with prescription glasses, medicines, dog food, baby formula, all the things you need if you have to flee,? she said.
In an Instagram post afterward, she also suggested that people ?laminate a card with all of the important telephone numbers because when all of the technology shuts down and there?s no electricity in the panic people forget how to reach each other.?
She said in earlier posts that ?my community and possibly my home is on fire? but that her family is safe.
?It is a terrifying situation and I?m grateful to the firefighters and all of the good Samaritans who are helping people get out of the way of the blaze,? she said.
Multiple fires in Los Angeles County have destroyed hundreds of homes, including those of numerous celebrities, and forced tens of thousands of people to evacuate. Five people have died. The Palisades fire has gutted the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood.

I grew up in San Francisco and remember that in elementary school I was always required to have an emergency kit packed and kept in the classroom in case of an earthquake, complete with non-perishable food. I think my mother also kept a kit in the trunk of her car, but the only item I remember is the sleeping bag that sat next to it. So I want to thank Jamie Lee Curtis for reminding me to organize a kit again, and I also really, really appreciate that she mentioned dog food as part of the essentials, as well as her suggesting people contact animal shelters to help. Animals need our help now too! Plus that tip about laminating important phone numbers is genius. I was in New York for Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and none of us with iphones could get a signal. One person in our group had an ancient flip phone, and by gosh it was the only cell among us that worked. And on top of handing out all these good ideas, Jamie is also putting her money where her mouth is ? she and her family are donating $1 million to relief efforts.
The imagery we?re seeing out of LA is truly apocalyptic, so to those in the area: please stay safe. To everyone else, please help in any way you can. And pack your kits!

I remember when Jessica Alba and Cash Warren first got together, and feeling like the guy seemed off somehow. I was suspicious because, when Alba met Cash, she seemed vulnerable. She had just gotten out of a relationship with Michael Weatherly, who was well into his 30s when she was a late-teen and early 20s. It felt like Cash was a rebound after a weird age-gap relationship, but then it got serious. So, yeah, I was anti-Cash, but then they had three children together and seemed happy, or at least they seemed settled. Well, after about twenty years together, they?re apparently calling it quits. They met in 2004, got engaged in 2007 and married in 2008. Their oldest, Honor, is 16 years old. Their youngest, Hayes, is 7 years old.
Jessica Alba and Cash Warrens marriage hasnt just hit a rocky patch, theyre about to call it quits with a divorce filing TMZ has learned.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ the couple recently separated, and theyre moving forward with divorce. Its unclear what brought them to the decision to end their nearly 17-year marriage, but there have been some public signs of trouble.
Both Cash and Jessica have been out and about without their wedding rings. Most recently, she attended a pre-Golden Globes party Saturday at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood without Cash, and without her ring.
Ditto for her night out in Rome last month with film producer Andrea Iervolino no wedding ring on her hand as she and Andrea were beginning to work on the biopic, Maserati: The Brothers.
For his part, Cash was out and about in L.A. last week with a ring-less left hand.
The last time Cash and Jessica were photographed together was at L.A.s Crypto.com Arena back on November 10 as they sat courtside for a Lakers game. Jessica also posted a family photo from Universal Studios last week, though its unclear if was a current photo or a throwback.

I kind of thought that we would hear something more about Simpson?s marriage before all of this. TMZ isn?t being slick about it they?re insinuating that Alba has left Cash for Andrea Iervolino. I?ll wait to see what?s really going on. If Cash and Jessica file for divorce, there could be a huge battle over the money. Alba built a wildly successful, billion-dollar company from the ground up, and she has a reported net worth of anywhere between $300-400 million. She built all of that during her marriage too will Cash want half?

On December 20th, Blake Lively filed her bombshell complaint with the California Civil Rights Department, accusing Justin Baldoni of sexual harassment and waging a ?social manipulation? campaign to destroy her. Her team provided emails and texts to the NYT, communications between Baldoni?s publicist and crisis manager, to authenticate Blake?s claims. Baldoni was also dropped by WME and his publicist. On New Year?s Eve, Baldoni and his team responded by suing the New York Times for $250 million. They?ve also promised to countersue Blake and release all of the texts & communications between Blake and Baldoni, but that hasn?t happened yet. Alongside all of these legal issues, there?s been a large-scale PR war happening across the trade papers, news outlets and beyond as regular gossip-watchers try to follow the ins and outs of the situation. Both Blake and Justin have fully engaged in the PR war. But according to a new statement from Blake?s legal team, Justin?s side needs to stop?
Blake Lively?s legal team is condemning what they call more attacks from Justin Baldoni. On Dec. 20, Lively, 37, who starred in Baldoni?s film It Ends with Us, filed a complaint against Baldoni and others, including his producing partners and publicists, alleging sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign to tarnish her reputation. Baldoni?s lawyer Bryan Freedman called the claims ?false, outrageous and intentionally salacious, and on Dec. 31, the actor-director also filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times over the newspapers Dec. 21 article about Livelys complaint, alleging it was the actress who engaged in a calculated smear campaign.
On Monday, Jan. 6, Lively?s legal team told PEOPLE in a statement that her ?serious claims of sexual harassment and retaliation? are ?backed by concrete facts.?
?This is not a ?feud? arising from ?creative differences? or a ?he said/she said? situation,? her lawyers statement read. ?As alleged in Ms. Lively?s complaint, and as we will prove in litigation, Wayfarer [Studios] and its associates engaged in unlawful, retaliatory astroturfing against Ms. Lively for simply trying to protect herself and others on a film set. And their response to the lawsuit has been to launch more attacks against Ms. Lively since her filing.?
The statement continued: ?Sexual harassment and retaliation are illegal in every workplace and in every industry. A classic tactic to distract from allegations of this type of misconduct is to ?blame the victim? by suggesting that they invited the conduct, brought it on themselves, misunderstood the intentions, or even lied. Another classic tactic is to reverse the victim and offender, and suggest that the offender is actually the victim. These concepts normalize and trivialize allegations of serious misconduct.
?Most importantly, media statements are not a defense to Ms. Lively?s legal claims, Lively?s legal team wrote. We will continue to prosecute her claims in federal court, where the rule of law determines who prevails, not hyperbole and threats.

It?s true that Baldoni?s lawyer issuing briefings and threats is not a countersuit. It?s true that Baldoni?s team is trying to muddy the waters and cast doubt on certain aspects of Blake?s claims. But it?s also true that Justin Baldoni has every right to fight back and sue and wage a battle in the court of public opinion, just as Blake is doing. Did Blake think Baldoni was just going to roll over? Did she think that he would have no power to fight back? From what I?ve seen, there are absolutely issues that need to be dealt with in court, with both sides providing evidence and receipts.

Zendaya turned up to the Golden Globes solo, meaning without her long-time boyfriend Tom Holland. Tom rarely comes with her to those kinds of events, but the Globes this year were different. Zendaya wore a large diamond ring on her left hand ring finger, and she was seen showing the ring to various people. The vibe was definitely ?Zendaya was telling people about an engagement.? Well, happy news: that?s exactly what it was. Tom Holland proposed to Zendaya over the holidays.

Man?s been ready to propose since their first date, let?s be real.
Zendaya and Tom Holland are taking their relationship to the next level! The Spider-Man costars, both 28, are engaged, a family source confirmed to PEOPLE. TMZ was first to report the news. According to the outlet, Holland proposed at one of Zendayas family homes over the holidays.
A separate source told PEOPLE that everyone close to them knew an engagement was happening ? just not when. The source said Holland had been keen to propose to Zendaya for a while.
Hes always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special, the source said, noting that Holland shared the happy news with friends around New Years.
As for tying the knot, the couple plans to take their time. They will just enjoy things for now and wont rush a wedding, the source added. They are both busy with work projects.
In the meantime, the pair are soaking up the special moment. Toms always had this sweet way of letting the world know that Zendaya is his. Now, its official ? she really is! the source told PEOPLE.

Major spoilers for Conclave.
I was so excited to see Conclave, I actually went to the theater to watch it right when it came out. Money and time well spent Conclave is one of my favorite films of the year, and I believe it?s a major awards contender. Most people believe it will be shortlisted for the Best Picture Oscar, and many awards-prognosticators predict that Ralph Fiennes and Isabella Rossellini will pick up Oscar nominations. From what I?ve seen, there hasn?t been a larger cultural conversation about Conclave, I think because people don?t want to ?spoil? the ending, the big reveal about the new pope. Stop reading now if you haven?t seen it yet and you want to be surprised!
So, it turns out that Megyn Kelly did not see Conclave in the theater. She waited to rent it or stream it, and she watched it over the weekend. She hated it, and she got on Twitter to bitch about it, and she spoiled the big reveal:
Just made the huge mistake of watching the much-celebrated ?Conclave? & it is the most disgusting anti-Catholic film I have seen in a long time. Shame on Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci & John Lithgow for starring in it & shame on director Edward Berger (among others). ?Spoiler:? They make THE POPE INTERSEX! This is the big exciting twist at the end. I wish I had known so I wouldn?t have watched it. There are almost no redeeming characters in the movie every cardinal is morally bankrupt/repulsive. The only exception of course is the intersex pope (who surprise! has female reproductive parts) & the cardinal who keeps her secret bc of course that kind of Catholic secret-keeping must be lionized. I?m disgusted. What a thing to release to streaming just in time for Christmas. They would never do this to Muslims, but Christians/Catholics are always fair game to mock/belittle/smear.

?There are almost no redeeming characters in the movie every cardinal is morally bankrupt/repulsive.? Almost as if the Catholic Church is run by flawed men who are hungry for power and drawn to authority over women and children. Honestly, that was what Conclave was mostly about all of the cardinals are flawed, some of them more than others. Some are racist, some have broken their vows, some are too politically active for their own good, and some are just bad at playing politics. Some are more progressive, some are bordering on fascist. Conclave plays out like a mystery, with Ralph Fiennes?s cardinal acting as the Poirot/Miss Marple trying to figure out what various cardinals are really up to. By the time we get to the end, the person who is elected pope is lovely, but he also has a secret: he?s intersex and he had no idea until well into adulthood.
Megyn posted her hissy fit on Sunday, hours before the Golden Globes. Conclave?s screenwriter Peter Straughan won a Golden Globe, and he was asked about Kelly?s comments. Straughan said, in part: ?I don?t think the film is anti-Catholic. I was brought up Catholic. I was an altar boy. I think the core message of ?Conclave? is about the church always having to re-find its spiritual core, because it deals so much with power. That?s always been a careful, difficult balance. To me, that was a very central Catholic ideal that I was brought up with. I stand by it.? Plus, he just adapted it from the book!

I know I?m making this a comparison post, but here?s a spoiler: I thought both Fanning sisters looked great at the Golden Globes! Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning went to the Globes separately to promote different projects Elle was supporting A Complete Unknown, and Dakota was nominated for her supporting role in the Ripley miniseries. I usually think Elle has better style than her sister, but last night, they both killed it.
Elle wore a Balmain ballgown I thought at first that this was genuinely vintage, but no, it?s a new Balmain based on a vintage look. I?m a tacky B so I love an animal print, and this animal print was so well done. It saved the gown from looking too precious and princessy.
As for Dakota, I?ve seen three different IDs on this beautiful red dress it?s Versace, or Tony Ward or Dolce & Gabbana. You choose! It looks more like Versace to me, but I?ve been wrong before (and a lot of designers look like Versace these days). She did a perfect red lip with the dress too.

Was anyone else surprised by Demi Moore?s Golden Globe win? She won the Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy for The Substance. First of all, The Substance isn?t a comedy or a musical. Second of all, The Substance is awful. Once I saw it, I could not believe that it was getting so much awards-season attention. While Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley do the best they can with the material, the film takes an interesting concept and then drives it off a fking cliff for the last hour.
All of which to say, I was surprised that Demi won a Globe. She really gave a barn-burner speech though, and it?s remarkable to think that in Demi?s long and well-documented career, this is the first time she?s ever picked up a major award. While she was prepared for the moment with a big speech, I was meh on her style. She wore a champagne-colored Armani. It wasn?t flattering?
Margaret Qualley, Demi?s ?other half,? wore Chanel to the Globes. I like this, and she?s always in Chanel. This is actually one of the better Chanel looks in recent years, right?
Tilda Swinton also wore Chanel very fancy.

Kristen Bell bugs me a lot. I think its her tendency to overshare coupled with her terrible I dont see color childrens book. I have to give her props though for her excellent Ashi metallic gown last night, if not for her severe styling. Kristen was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, for her work in Netflixs Nobody Wants This. A lot of people watched that, but I avoided it because I cant stand her. Maybe Ill get over that.
Jean Smart won in that category for Hacks. Hacks also took home Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy. This is Jeans second Globe. She was in Rhea Costa. Queen.
