As I?ve said before, I like Sydney Sweeney. I think she?s a smart cookie, and I appreciate the fact that she?s not a nepo-baby, and that she?s gotten to the top because of her sheer hustle, drive, talent and work ethic. Sydney is featured on Vanity Fair?s Hollywood Issue cover, and VF did individual profiles of all of their cover stars. She?s now an in-demand producer because of the success of Anyone But You, plus Immaculate. She?s also got Ron Howard?s Eden coming up, and Echo Valley with Julianne Moore. Some highlights from her VF profile:
On her interviews: ?We?re going to have a conversation, we?ll talk for 30 minutes, it?s condensed, then people don?t understand the context behind the conversation, and it?s all clickbait. Unfortunately I don?t get to control my image?my image is in your guys? hands.?
Her work as a producer: ?I love being able to have a seat at the table, have creative say over decisions that would help benefit the project, whether it be the character or budget or time frame, anything that I can do that can help the project succeed. I love to help brainstorm and problem solve because it?s a puzzle?you?re constantly trying to have all these moving pieces put together.
On the strategy to play up affair rumors with Glen Powell: ?Once [Anyone But You] did become a success, a lot of the interviews were just questions about it, so I don?t know if we necessarily were planning on ever talking about the strategy behind any of it. We just had very specific questions and when you say no to a question, people think that you?re a bitch, so?.We definitely are very supportive of each other?s careers. We watch and talk about each other?s projects all the time, or even if we?re both debating between projects, we?ll call each other up and ask for advice. I just saw him last week and we were talking through some projects, so we definitely have a really great working relationship. We would absolutely love to work on something else together.
On a female producer publicly calling her talentless: ?It?s very disheartening to see women tear other women down, especially when women who are successful in other avenues of their industry see younger talent working really hard?hoping to achieve whatever dreams that they may have?and then trying to bash and discredit any work that they?ve done. This entire industry, all people say is ?Women empowering other women.? None of it?s happening. All of it is fake and a front for all the other sh-t that they say behind everyone?s back.?
More on women not supporting women: ?I mean, there?s so many studies and different opinions on the reasoning behind it. I?ve read that our entire lives, we were raised?and it?s a generational problem?to believe only one woman can be at the top.
There?s one woman who can get the man. There?s one woman who can be, I don?t know, anything. So then all the others feel like they have to fight each other or take that one woman down instead of being like, Let?s all lift each other up. I?m still trying to figure it out. I?m just trying my best over here. Why am I getting attacked?
[From Vanity Fair]
She also talks about Euphoria and effortlessly walks the line of being happy about a show which made her a breakout star AND calling out the producers for not having their acts together. Which is true. As for what she says about what Hollywood is really like and all of the ?women supporting women? stuff being bullsh-t? I believe it, but I also believe it?s particular to Sydney too. Like, I think there are pockets of Hollywood where, um, white women support other white women. But I think a lot of women are probably threatened by Sydney?s youth and beauty too.

Traditionally, Vanity Fair releases their annual ?Hollywood Issue? during the heat of the awards season, usually the February or March issue. But the award season has been all of out of whack for years now, and releasing the Hollywood Issue so late into the season decreased the issue?s cultural relevance. So what do you know, VF pushed it up so now we?re getting the Hollywood Issue just as the Oscar-bait films are being released. This year?s issue features a who?s who of almost exclusively ?on the come up? stars. The one exception is Nicole Kidman! The rest of the cover stars: Zendaya, Glen Powell, Zoe Saldaa, Dev Patel, Sydney Sweeney, Josh O?Connor, Danielle Deadwyler, Jonathan Bailey, Lisa, Ncuti Gatwa, and Bill Skarsgrd. Okay, I would argue that Dev and Zendaya have been around for years and are already established stars. But the rest of them? It?s a pretty good cross-section of the next ten years in film and television.
So, thoughts? As I said, I think it?s an excellent cross-section. I don?t even mind Nicole?s inclusion while she?s a different generation than everyone else, Nicole works like crazy and she?s a Hollywood-godmother figure to a lot of younger actors. I love that Dev Patel was included in the first cover panel (the most important panel!) and I love that both Jonathan Bailey and Josh O?Connor were included too. I?m not even mad at the styling everyone looks great. I wish Josh wasn?t wearing those Robert Evans glasses, and that?s about my only nitpick.
We?ll cover some of the interviews separately, but I have to say, VF did a good job this year. Dev has never had a bad hair day in his life, right?
Dev Patel can do it all.
For #VFHollywood, he discusses making ?Monkey Man? for his younger self, the decade it took to get the film made, and the lasting reverence of ?Skins.?

| Sydney Sweeney's phone and Twitter account were hacked by cryptoscammers | Added 115 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

On July 2, actress Sydney Sweeny?s X account was hacked by crypto scammers who used it to promote one of those crypto meme scams. This is the second time this year that Syndey?s account was hacked. Back in January, her account was hijacked to promote a different crypto meme coin. Unfortunately, Sydney?s cell phone number was also hacked at the same time as her Twitter account. After a picture of a Verizon receipt in Sydney?s name was posted online, it was determined that she?s also a victim of SIM swapping. Essentially, SIM swapping is when hackers take control of someone?s phone number, meaning all their phone calls, text messages, etc. will move over to a new device that the hacker controls.
Sydney Sweeney?s cellphone number was hijacked the same day hackers took over her X account to promote a crypto meme coin scam, according to a new report. A copy of a Verizon Wireless receipt from July 2 was posted online and obtained by technology news site 404 Media, showing that someone made changes to the ?Euphoria? star?s account.
?Hi Sydney Sweeney, Thank you for your order,? the paper read. ?If you have any question [sic], please feel free to contact me.?
An iPhone and its box were next to the receipt in the photo.
The outlet speculated that the Emmy nominee, 26, was ?a victim of SIM swapping, where hackers take over a target?s phone number and reroute text messages and phone calls to a device that the attackers control.?
Page Six has reached out to Sweeney?s reps for comment.
A Verizon spokesperson, Richard Young, said in a statement to 404 Media that he could not ?discuss a specific customer situation? but added, ?Verizon takes customer privacy and account security very seriously. When an issue is brought to our attention, we work quickly to investigate and remediate the issue, and work to ensure it doesn?t happen again.?
The date listed on the receipt was the same day Sweeney?s X account was hacked by someone tweeting about cryptocurrency.
?Well I think it?s time $sweeney is now live 100mc incoming,? wrote the hackers on the actress?s account. ?At 10mc, 10% of the supply will be burnt.?
The post also included a link that directed users to a newly created Pump.fun meme coin that the hackers claimed was from Sweeney.
The cyberterrorists also told the ?Immaculate? star?s 1 million followers that she would be ?going live on spaces soon? to show ?what $sweeney can do.?
The hackers?s tweets didn?t stay up for long, as Sweeney reclaimed her account and deleted all traces of the crypto scams. In fact, the ?Anyone But You? star?s X page shows that her last message was posted in May to promote her forthcoming film, in which she?ll be portraying boxer Christy Martin.
Sweeney is part of a long list of stars whose social media accounts have recently been hijacked by hackers. Rappers 50 cent, Doja Cat and Rich the Kid and former wrestler Hulk Hogan were also victims of the hacks.
[From Page Six]
Ugh, I feel terrible for her. It?s such a gross invasion of privacy. I hope she doesnt have any other problems, like them hacking into her iCloud Photos or Apple wallet. I would be beyond angry if someone did this to me. It makes me worried to know that AT&T was hacked a few weeks ago and the hackers got access to ?nearly all? of their customers? records. As an AT&T cellular customer, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop on that one. I know it?s probably unlikely to track down who hacked her account and swapped SIM cards, but I hope there?s a way to do it. The crypto scams have gotten out-of-control on both Elon Musk?s platform and Instagram. Over the past few years, I?ve had a few people in my life whose Instagram accounts got hacked and it was hard to get them back. For a family member, whoever hacked their account still constantly posts those spammy things. I hope something can be done about it, with legislation or other official channels.

| Sydney Sweeney's rep claps back on hater Carol Baum: 'That's shameful' | Added 212 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

One of the weirdest stories of the week is about producer Carol Baum bashing Sydney Sweeney for no real reason. Baum produced Father of the Bride, Snow Falling On Cedars, The Good Girl and a dozen other films. This week, Baum was chatting with a NYT moderator for some kind of discussion about Hollywood, and Baum recounted watching Anyone But You, the successful romantic-comedy starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell. Sydney produced ABY too. Baum apparently said, ?Explain this girl to me. She?s not pretty, she can?t act. Why is she so hot?? RUDE! Well, Baum?s comments were publicized by the Daily Mail and other outlets, and there was an immediate reaction from Sweeney?s rep. Baum apparently already tried to backtrack too:
Sydney Sweeneys camp hasnt wasted time clapping back at the attack on her looks and acting chops by a Hollywood producer even though the woman herself is walking it back. A rep for the Euphoria actress called out Carol Baum for her recent remarks that classified SS as not pretty and not a good actress, saying, How sad that a woman in the position to share her expertise and experience chooses instead to attack another woman.
The rep adds, If that?s what she?s learned in her decades in the industry and feels is appropriate to teach to her students, that?s shameful. To unjustly disparage a fellow female producer speaks volumes about Ms Baum?s character.?
Sydneys former colleagues have also come out to speak up on her behalf including producer Teddy Schwarzman, who worked with Sydney on Immaculate. He responded to this slam as well, saying Sydney is not only talented, but incredibly humble and kind and a badass scream queen too.
As for Carol herself, shes already expressing regret over the whole thing telling TMZ she wishes she never wouldve made her original comments, and that crapping on an actor like that in public usually isnt her style. Carol who has movie credits under her belt such as Father of the Bride and Buffy the Vampire Slayer goes on to say shes been getting a ton of hate mail over all this.
[From TMZ]
Hate mail? The Mail ran Baum?s comments as an exclusive on Tuesday, and the story was only widely picked up on Wednesday. I guess Baum could mean email or hate-DMs rather than ?mail,? but who knows. It doesn?t sound like Carol Baum is current on modes of communication. Anyway, I think Sydney?s rep struck the right tone and this is honestly a very easy layup for Team Sweeney. Sydney gets tons of sympathy and she gets further recognition as a successful producer. It also helps that in Sydney?s time in Hollywood, she?s made friends and she hasn?t walked all over people on her way to the upper-middle of Hollywood.
As a producer of #Immaculate, I?ll enlighten Ms. Baum that two-time Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney is not only one of the most talented actresses I?ve worked with, but also incredibly smart, kind and humble. I?m not sure why someone who claims to still be a producer would make such?

Sydney Sweeney is an attractive blonde actress who has been on a significant rise for the past three years or so. She?s a big deal because of her Emmy-nominated turn in Euphoria, her Emmy-nominated turn in The White Lotus Season 1, Reality (where she played the lead, Reality Winner), Sharp Objects and most recently, Immaculate and Anyone But You. Sweeney produced the last two films, and Anyone But You was considered an old-school, enjoyable mid-budget rom-com and it?s been Sydney?s biggest success as a producer. Well, the fact that a cute blonde actress is out there, developing and producing projects for herself has apparently broken the brains of some Hollywood producers. The Mail had some exclusive comments from ?top female producer? Carol Baum, who basically called Sydney an ugly, untalented flop.
She is one of Hollywoods hottest young rising stars recently been hailed as evidence for woke culture being in the decline. But now Sydney Sweeney has been fiercely blasted by one of Hollywoods top female producers.
Shes not pretty, she cant act, claims Carol Baum, whose films include Father of the Bride and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Baum, speaking with New York Times film critic Janet Maslin before an audience of fans following a screening of her 1988 film Dead Ringers starring Jeremy Irons, held nothing back as she began her critique of the 26-year-old actress.
Theres an actress who everybody loves now Sydney Sweeney. I dont get Sydney Sweeney. I was watching on the plane Sydney Sweeneys movie because I wanted to watch it, she says about Anyone But You. I wanted to know who she is and why everybodys talking about her, she told Maslin and her audience. I watched this unwatchable movie- sorry to people who love this movie [this] romantic comedy where they hate each other.
Referencing the producing class she teaches at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Baum added: I said to my class, Explain this girl to me. Shes not pretty, she cant act. Why is she so hot? Nobody had an answer but then the question was asked, Well if you could get your movie made because she was in it, would you do it? I said, Well thats a really good questionthats a very hard question to answer because we all want to get the movie made and who walks away from a green light? Nobody I know. Your job is to get the movie made.
Baum has produced 34 films starring the likes of Jennifer Aniston, Michael Douglas and Dolly Parton and last year published a book entitled Creative Producing.
[From The Daily Mail]
True story: Anyone But You looked stupid to me, but I admired the way Sydney hustled for that movie and created a gossip storyline (did she bang Glen Powell and ruin his relationship with Gigi Paris, who knows???), and I admired the fact that she developed it and put the whole thing together (on a budget of $25 million). Even if people weren?t wild about the movie, they appreciated the fact that they had the option of seeing a normie rom-com in the theater. Audiences liked it so much that the film made $218 million at the box office and Sydney and Glen are now looking for another rom-com script to reunite on-screen.
So, what?s my point? Carol Baum is a hater. While Anyone But You is not, like, Citizen Kane, it?s a perfectly fine and successful movie which audiences liked and appreciated. Why this ad hominem attack on Sydney Sweeney?s acting skills and beauty? I actually think Sweeney is an underrated actress people see a blonde with big boobs, and they think she?s a talentless ditz, but she?s got range. She also has a surprising jolie-laide quality where she can really look downtrodden and mousy.
Add to all of this other nonsense, the whole ?Sydney Sweeney destroys wokeness? thing is because she?s a conventionally attractive woman with a great body. It has nothing to do with wokeness, right-wing guys are just idiots.

Recently, I realized that Sydney Sweeney is a Virgo and our birthdays are only one day apart. This explains so much why I feel drawn to Sydney?s vibe and how Sydney has figured out a way to engineer her career. I wonder if she understands that she?s now part of the grand tradition of Virgo entertainers hyper-organized perfectionists who are comfortable with the spotlight even if they don?t revel in it. Sydney recently chatted with the Wall Street Journal about sleep, breakfast and how she never drinks coffee.
In a new interview with the Wall Street Journal, Sydney Sweeney ? who stars in the new horror film Immaculate ? revealed that she never has coffee and can allegedly function with just two hours of sleep.
?I sleep however many hours I get in a night, but I?m known for being able to function off of very, very little for a very long amount of time,? she told WSJ after being asked about a rumor that she can run on two hours of sleep.
When asked about her breakfast routine, she added, ?I?ve never tried coffee before. I just drink water. For breakfast, I like a berry bowl. Maybe some granola, bacon, a croissant, but I always go to berries.?
In the interview, the actress said she liked ?full-body high-intensity? workouts like SolidCore, though ?it?s been killing my ass,? and that she usually wakes up at 7:30 a.m. every morning.
The actress also confirmed that Euphoria ? which HBO confirmed is delayed on Monday ? will be filming this year.
When asked about her vintage car restoration hobby, Sweeney said, ?I have a car I?m about to start. I don?t want to spoil what it is yet because I?m going to post it on my TikTok, but I?ve had it for a while. I?ve been saving it, and it?s going to be my project this year while I film Euphoria.?
[From Rolling Stone]
I?m not a coffee drinker either, although I have been drinking frappuccinos in recent years and they have a nice coffee kick. I get my caffeine fix from diet soda though. I bet Sydney does not. I bet she?s drinking water or juices throughout the day. As for sleep? the thing is, she?s really young. She?s only 26. In your teens and 20s, you can rock and roll on very little sleep. It catches up to you at some point though. I used to be able to live and work quite normally on three or four hours of sleep. Now if I don?t get a solid six or seven hours, I?m a grumpy mess.

| Sydney Sweeney on horror films: 'You?re just having fun, it's not a movie for the Oscars' | Added 232 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Some of you claim that Sydney Sweeney is a charisma vacuum, but I kind of like her? She gives good interviews, she plays the game, she?s cute and sexy and she?s worked hard for everything she has. She?s not a nepo-baby, she?s a hustler (positive). Sydney is currently promoting the horror film Immaculate, where she plays a young nun who joins an Italian convent and sh-t gets wacky and probably sacreligious too. Sydney is the executive producer on Immaculate, just as she produced Anyone But You, the surprise sleeper rom-com hit. Shifting into producing while still just taking regular old acting gigs is such a smart play for her. She recently chatted with Variety about all of this and more:
Producing & acting in ?Immaculate?: ?There?s videos and pictures of me standing in video village, helping set up other shots, holding the script and switching some things around, all drenched in blood. I felt like a kid at a playground ? endless imagination, and I felt so in control. Mike [Mohan], I?ve worked with him three times, and it?s just a dream, because he values my opinion and lets me take such charge.?
Doing a film about pregnancy/parthenogenesis in a moment when reproductive rights are being curtailed: ?So the script has been around for 10 years ? I auditioned for it when I was 16. And it was a very different draft. I called the writer, Andrew Lobel, and got the clean, original draft, then reworked it to fit who I am today, keeping a lot of the same themes and storylines. And one of the biggest ones that carried over was something innately in the project that, sadly, is still a topic of discussion today. What?s so cool is that there are so many different themes and points of conversation for people to draw their own conclusions or assumptions. That?s what I love ? when a film doesn?t try to drive one message into an audience?s mind and tell them, This is what you need to believe. I love when a film has a variation of ideas and concepts and allows people to conclude their own opinion.?
She always want to do a straight horror film: ?Being in the horror genre is fun, because in that genre, there?s no limitations or boundaries. I always find it so funny when people pick apart a horror film?s rules, or its storytelling. I?m like, It?s a horror film. You?re just having fun. It?s not a movie for the Oscars; you know that going into it. We want to create something good, but it?s fun having characters that can go to such extreme, absurd places, and people don?t question it.?
It?s important to her that her films get theatrical releases: ?I love the entire experience of going to a theater. I love getting your popcorn and your candy, having your group of friends. And I also like that you have to put away your phone. You have to actually live in the moment and live in that world. We are all subjected to watching stuff on our computers or our TV, and we can do multiple things at the same time without really immersing ourselves into this world, letting the outside world shut off. That?s what I love about storytelling is being able to create a new world. Being able to bring people into a theater is to let them shut off the outside world for 90 minutes. It?s fun. It?s exciting. Get off the couch.
The box office success of Anyone But You: ?I get chills just talking about it. We are all so beyond grateful and ecstatic that it has been loved to the degree that it has been loved. Seeing people shut off the outside world and feel all the emotions we wanted them to feel while we were making it, then leave the theater singing and dancing and wanting to fall in love ? that is what the movie theatergoing experience is supposed to ignite inside you.
Whether a man with her CV would get more recognition: ?There?s way more actresses in the pool in this industry than there are actors, so you have a higher rate of competition. But as a male, it?s much easier to do one movie that does really well, and then you can get offered any film that you want. And me, I?m still getting ?Can she act?? accusations. Go watch ?Reality,? ?White Lotus,? ?Euphoria,? ?Sharp Objects,? ?Handmaid?s Tale? ? but, OK, I?ll keep trying to prove myself, and hope that one day I can get cast with an amazing director and have a film that people recognize.
Being an actress-for-hire on Madame Web: ?I want to be as involved in the process for any project moving forward that I possibly can. I love being in the room to be able to problem-solve, and come up with ideas. It?s so important to have multiple people at the table instead of just one ? everybody who can be collaborative and truly help build a project. It takes everybody. On ?Madame Web,? it was so hard not being able to be as involved as I love being. And I felt very free with ?Anyone But You? and ?Immaculate? being able to have that.
[From Variety]
I like that she?s putting her work front and center Variety tried to get her to talk about her body and how (basically) her boobs are going viral every week, and she just kind of shimmied out of the conversation, saying that people don?t see her as real and that she?s still doesn?t know how to feel about it. But again, it?s about the work for her, and it?s so cool that this young woman (she?s only 26) is already executive producing hit movies and she?s so involved with the business side. She?s also right about her CV a man would be handed a superhero franchise with half of her CV.

Last month, the most anticipated superhero movie of the year, Madame Web, hit theaters. No one really knew why it was a thing, but the trailer was bonkers and well, it?s been a long four years, so there was some intrigue. Would it be one of those ?so bad it?s good? movies? Or would it just be?bad? Sadly, not enough people dragged themselves to the theaters to hate-watch it, so it not only bombed with critics, it bombed at the box office too. It?s currently down to 12% on Rotten Tomatoes, woof.
At some point during the promotion for the movie, every star but Dakota Johnson bailed, as though they were distancing themselves from a trainwreck of a movie. Johnson?s co-star, Sydney Sweeney, is at SXSW promoting her upcoming horror movie, Immaculate. It?s about a virgin nun who ends up pregnant, a ?seemingly miraculous event that soon takes a sinister turn.? While talking with the LA Times, Sydney gave some quotes about Madame Web, her acting method, and how she?s handling becoming more famous.
On Madame Web: Such is Sweeney?s current career trajectory that she is unfazed by the severe, mocking response to the recent disappointment ?Madame Web,? saying, ?I was just hired as an actress in it, so I was just along for the ride for whatever was going to happen.?
On producing: ?I am a very hands-on collaborator. I like being able to give ideas, be a part of it, help come up with solutions. It just changes the whole process. It?s so hard for me now to be on a set and not be able to help in any type of way and be able to take action. And being able to actually have a voice and have a valued opinion ? it means so much. And I still have a billion things to learn, but I love being able to be a part of the process from the beginning to the end. I?ve always built my characters from the ground up. And so I feel like I?m getting to do that on an entire script-level.?
She?s ?dorky? IRL: ?I am actually super dorky. I make very sarcastic dry remarks, and everyone close to me knows in real life I?m more of a comedian than a dramatic person.?
No method acting for her: ?The number one thing [Andy McPhee, father of Kodi Smit-McPhee] always told me was to make sure that I separated myself as much as possible from my characters. Don?t put any of my own memories, emotions, feelings, people, relationships, anything in the thoughts of my characters, so that I can jump in and out.?
On how she?s handling her growing fame: ?I am such a homebody that life kind of stays the same for me. I just hang out with my dog and my family and my close friends. There?s just more people who say hi to me when I go outside. That?s all?Nothing about this industry is normal. And I think it?s really important to remember that.?
[From LA Times]
I have the most to say about Madame Web, so let me first note that Sydney comes across as someone who is a very hard worker and very ambitious. It?s nice that she acknowledges that she still has a ?billion? things to learn when it comes to producing. Also, good on her for being able to separate herself from her characters. That said, in some of her other answers, she gives me the impression that she is also someone who is trying very hard to say all of the ?right? things to portray herself as a humble up-and-comer that?s been unchanged by fame.
Okay, so Madame Web. Lordy, the shade of pulling an ?I don?t know her? about it. I think all of the actresses involved are missing a big opportunity here, and that?s to make it a cult classic. Do you think Susan Sarandon expected the following and residuals that would come from the The Rocky Horror Picture Show? That movie is crazy bonkers but I love the hella outta it thanks to the rituals that arose around it. Office Space was panned by critics too, but a red stapler, broken copy machine, and 15 pieces of flair made that instantly memorable. The groundwork was laid out for a campy classic when the whole ?He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders right before she died? line trended on Twitter after the trailer came out. If a movie is laughably bad, there?s always a path to make people love it.

Sydney Sweeney covers the latest issue of Women?s Health, all to promote Anyone But You, the romantic-comedy she did with Glen Powell. The interview has a weird feel to it, probably because Sydney couldn?t talk about the movie during the strike, but the second the strike ended, she called up the magazine and had them add some quotes. At this point, I don?t know what to think about the romance rumors between Glen and Sydney, but I do think this young woman would do almost anything to promote her work. She?s a hustler, and I?m saying that in a complimentary way. Her parents gave up a lot to help her break through and now that she?s arrived, she?s not wasting any opportunity. Some highlights from Women?s Health:
She loves to water ski: ?It?s a lot of upper body strength, it?s balance, it?s core, it?s legs?you get tired really fast. I see such a change in my body after an entire summer of [skiing]. My arms are stronger, more sculpted. My abs are rock solid. But I never look at it as a workout because it is so much fun.?
She loves new challenges: ?Whenever a new challenge presents itself and I?m not scared to push myself to try, that?s when I?m really proud of who I am? I know that my body can keep going?it?s more just that mental challenge to push myself through. I take that skill into skiing, into acting, into anything I do, because it?s always more mental than physical. Of course you have to train, but it?s mind over matter at the end of the day.?
She deals with social anxiety. ?Whenever it feels like the world?s so loud, and there?s so much going on, and I?m trying to balance it all?sometimes, it can feel overwhelming.?
Her parents? sacrifice: ?I watched my parents lose a lot. We filed for bankruptcy, and they lost their house back home on the lake. [Sydney has since bought back her great-grandparents? home on the same lake so she can return.] We couldn?t afford life in L.A. We couldn?t afford life anywhere,? she recalls. To help pay the bills, Sydney babysat, cleaned restaurant bathrooms, and led tours at Universal Studios. ?It was hard because they were supporting my dream, and I couldn?t imagine doing anything else. I didn?t want to fail them. No matter how long it took, I was going to be in a TV show or a movie, and I wasn?t going to stop until something happened.?
Working with Glen Powell: ?Getting to work with Glen, I?ll never forget this one? I hope the audience can actually feel the love and fun we all shared making this film. That?s something I always feel from my favorite rom-coms?the joy and energy shared amongst the cast and crew, and I was lucky enough to experience that on this film.?
Kindness: ?I truly believe that kindness is the most important attribute anybody can have, because whoever you see on your way up, you?re going to see on your way down,? she says. ?I try to be as loyal to my people as I can, and I hope they return the favor. I also love watching everyone succeed together.?

I sometimes wonder if something has to give with Sweeney she loves to work, she?s a workaholic, she would happily book back-to-back jobs for the next ten years. And then the other side of her is happy in Idaho with her family, and wanting to get married and be a young mom. It?s possible she can do all of that have it all, but I do wonder if there will be a fork in the road and she?ll end up choosing the Hollywood life and the big career for the next ten years.

Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell have been in New York this week to promote their rom-com Anyone But You. There are too many movies with similar-sounding names out right now, or is it just me? Anyway, this film seems utterly forgettable but Sydney?s still trying her best to sell it, bless her heart. Her fiance didn?t come to the premiere, from what I saw. Glen hasn?t been in a relationship since Gigi Paris dumped him for how close he seemed to Sydney. At this point, I?m not sure that Glen and Sydney are happening, but I would absolutely believe that they slept together at some point.
As for Sydney?s premiere look, she wore a Miu Miu dress with a million crystals, plus earrings from Fred Leighton. Sydney is a brand ambassador for Miu Miu and she?s talked about how grateful she is for the extra money and attachment to a major label. All in all, it?s a pretty good fit between actress and brand. While this dress isn?t my favorite thing ever, it suits her and it suits the film promotion. As a fellow big-chested girl, I will say that I admire the fact that Sydney manages to walk that fine line between ?being too covered up? versus ?being too boobs-forward.?
The thing is, when you actually see Glen and Sydney together, their attractiveness sort of cancels out and they just come across as bland, right? Also: I?m adding a bonus photo of Sydney wearing a bonkers ensemble of wide-leg jeans and a matching vest-and-coat look. That was right before the premiere!
