| Cannes: Scarlett Johansson wore an impeccable Prada at the 'Eleanor' premiere | Added 51 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Last night, Scarlett Johansson premiered her directorial debut, Eleanor the Great, at the Cannes Film Festival. Scarlett directed June Squibb and Erin Kellyman, and they were both there for the premiere. Scarlett?s husband Colin Jost also came out for the premiere. Let?s talk about Colin?s fashion first Colin seems to do a lot of chest and arm work, which is great, but that means he looks sort of foolish wearing a slim-cut double-breasted suit or tuxedo? He should either go with a slim-cut single-breasted suit (if his goal is showing off his chest and arms) or go with a boxy double-breasted jacket. As for Scarlett, she wore a custom Prada in a pale blue. As I went through the photos, I looked at all of the angles of the gown it really is tailored beautifully for Scarlett?s figure. Her red lipstick pops too.
Jodie Foster skipped her usual Armani and went with Loewe to the ?Vie Prive? premiere. I?m not a fan of any of it??
Georgina Chapman and Adrien Brody were out in Cannes last night as well. I?m still mad that he won his second Oscar, and I?m still mad about his long-ass speech. Georgina wore an archive Marchesa? remember when half the girls at any award show wore dresses like this? It?s giving me nostalgia.
Eva Herzigova wore one of the funniest looks of the festival this is Balenciaga. I?m calling it the ?boob bell dress.?

| Gwyneth Paltrow has a 'text friendship' with Duchess Meghan at the moment | Added 52 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

In my opinion, Gwyneth Paltrow?s original intention towards the Duchess of Sussex was some light mockery and posh hazing. I still believe that Gwyneth looked down her nose at Meghan and Meghan?s lifestyle business and cooking show, and Gwyneth intended to leave some breadcrumbs publicly about her feelings. Gwyneth watched as those breadcrumbs were picked up and turned into a massive narrative in the British tabloids. It was all getting beyond her control. Which is why Gwyneth quashed the beef thoroughly by inviting Meghan over to her house and filming a funny little IG video with her. As many pointed out if only the Windsors had dealt with the situation similarly. As in, the Windsors tried to haze Meghan, it got out of control, and they should have backed down immediately and said: no, wait, that?s not what I meant at all, she?s under my protection, y?all took it too far. Anyway, Gwyneth was asked about Meghan over the weekend:
Gwyneth Paltrow has got a friend in Meghan Markle! In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the Mindvalley Manifesting Summit in Los Angeles on Saturday, May 17, the actress, 52, spoke about her friendship with the Duchess of Sussex, 43.
Explaining that she and Meghan have not yet spent a lot of time together in person, Paltrow said, We have a text friendship so far. Ive been traveling quite a bit.
Then, referring to rumors that circulated online surrounding beef between herself and Meghan, the Oscar winner said, I dont like that, when people try to pit women against each other.
And when asked about her thoughts on appearing on season 2 of Meghans Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, Paltrow admitted: Sure! Why not? You never know. I dont bake that well, but I can always try.
[From People]
?I don?t bake that well? is so shady, my god. That?s Gwyneth?s version of ?I didn?t watch her little show but I wish her well.? Meghan barely baked on WLM! I would honestly love to see Gwyneth on WLM though Gwyneth has done cookbooks and she?s ?cooked? on camera before, but I feel like it would be fascinating to watch Gwyneth and Meghan interact with food in a kitchen.

| Denzel Washington got into it with a handsy paparazzo at the Cannes film festival | Added 52 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

This week is Denzel Washington?s first time at the Cannes Film Festival in over three decades. Which is wild to think about while Denzel has made plenty of studio films, films which don?t have to go through the festival circuit, he?s also made plenty of smaller-budget films, art house films with auteurs. You would have thought that Denzel would have been a regular at Cannes, but not so much. The festival was incredibly pleased to see him, and festival organizers apparently made some adjustments to their schedule to accommodate Denzel, who was basically just in town for a whirlwind 24 hours (his one day off from Othello on Broadway). The festival also had a huge surprise for Denzel ahead of the out-of-competition screening of Spike Lee?s Highest 2 Lowest. Denzel was awarded an honorary Palme d?Or.
Denzel Washington was surprised at the Cannes Film Festival on Monday night with an honorary Palme d?Or, a career achievement acknowledgement that has been presented only 21 previous times. Ahead of an out-of-competition screening of his latest film, Spike Lee?s Highest 2 Lowest, fest director Thierry Frmaux surprised the Oscar winner with the honor. Lee presented Washington with the honor after an introduction from Frmaux. The presentation saw Washington receive a huge standing ovation.
?This is a total surprise for me, so I?m emotional. It?s a great opportunity to collaborate with my brother once again, brother from another mother, and to be here once again in Cannes,? Washington said in part, after Lee previously referred to Washington as his brother and expressed his love for . ?We?re a very privileged group in this room that we get to make movies and wear tuxedos and nice clothes and dress up and get paid for it as well. We?re just blessed beyond measure. I?m blessed beyond measure. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all.?
[From THR]
I?m including some of the videos below Denzel genuinely seemed surprised and moved with the award. Spike was in on it! This honorary Palme d?Or comes in the same year that Denzel was snubbed for an Oscar nomination for Gladiator II AND snubbed for a Tony Award nomination for Othello. It definitely makes me wonder if other festivals and awards shows are prepared to start giving Denzel all of the honorary lifetime achievement awards now. Well? he already has the Cecil B. DeMille Award and an AFI tribute, but he?s never won one of the honorary Oscars or SAG Lifetime Achievement. He?s never been nominated for a BAFTA either, but he has an honorary BAFTA.
Something else happened in Cannes with Denzel he got into it with a photographer on the carpet. I think one of the photographers grabbed Denzel?s jacket and pulled at him, and he went over and got in the guy?s face. The same guy then tried to grab Denzel?s arm and Denzel took care of the situation. That?s my interpretation of what happened.

| Cannes: Dakota Johnson wore a fringed Gucci to the 'splitsville' premiere | Added 52 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Dakota Johnson is in Cannes for the first time this year. She?s joked in press that she?s considered more of an Italian actress, given that she?s filmed several times in Italy and she?s premiered films at the Venice Film Festival. She seems to be enjoying her time in Cannes! She was outfitted exclusively in Gucci, because she?s been a brand ambassador for the fashion house for more than a decade. Her Gucci looks have been surprisingly controversial she wore a ?naked dress? at the Kering Women In Motion event, but I didn?t see the big deal there was clearly some lining and undergarments happening, and you couldn?t really see anything.
If anything, I found Dakota?s Gucci gown at last night?s Splitsville premiere much more controversial the pale Pink with spangles/fringe, with her too-long hair mimicking the fringe. It?s supposed to read as willowy, but it feels one-note, in a way. Plus, I have an issue with the bust of this dress! And the color Gucci does a lot of things wrong, but they?re usually not afraid of color, and this pale Pink was so boring.
Dakota went to Cannes to premiere Splitsville, about two couples (who are all friends) and at least one couple is getting a divorce. It?s Dakota once again giving relatively new filmmakers a shot, and Splitsville was well-received in Cannes. The audience gave them an eight-minute standing ovation.
Meanwhile, one of Dakota?s costars is Adria Arjona, who wore Louis Vuitton at the premiere. Adria also turned up with her boyfriend? Jason Momoa. It?s been a minute since I?ve followed Momoa?s post-Lisa Bonet love life, and I?ll admit, I had no idea he was dating this woman.

| David Beckham met up with King Charles & Camilla at the Chelsea Flower Show | Added 52 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Monday, May 19th was Press Day at the Chelsea Flower Show. In 2023, the Princess of Wales stole King Charles?s thunder on that year?s Press Day the day was supposed to be about Charles?s first visit to the flower show as king, but Kate surprised Buckingham Palace by making a surprise appearance at busing in random children for a photo-op. Charles was beyond furious and for several weeks, Kate was soundly punished in the media. It was really funny. Two years later, Kate was nowhere to be seen on Press Day. Odd, given Kate?s new focus on ?nature.? But of course Charles and Camilla made it to the Chelsea Flower Show. They weren?t alone look who turned up for a special photo-op: David Beckham!!
Obviously, David is desperate for a knighthood and he?s been trying to grovel his way to that knighthood for years. It?s his retirement project: subservience and obsequiousness to the left-behinds, who are now openly using David for their own narrow purposes. Seeing David and Charles together is a reminder that neither man has lifted a finger to call off the media dogs when it comes to their sons. If anything, both men are likely responsible for a good deal of the briefings against Brooklyn Beckham and Prince Harry. In case you want it underlined, here?s how the Mail reported it:
They come from remarkably different backgrounds but have been brought together by their shared love of horticulture, of all things. Now, the King and David Beckham have met up again at the Royal Horticultural Societys world-famous Chelsea Flower Show for a special meeting of green-fingered minds.
The former footballer, who is now also a Kings Foundation Ambassador, was making his RHS debut for the charity. Beckham, 50, was formally introduced to the King and Queen at the Highgrove Shop stand, which will be selling a new rose named after Charles the Kings Rose. Beckham wore the bright Pink flower pinned to his blazer.
The former England captain appeared thoroughly amused while in conversation with the monarch, and was spotted laughing heartily as Charles cracked his signature jokes. Camilla meanwhile appeared in bright spirits while sporting a green leaf print dress from Fiona Clare London, while Charles carried a traditional country fair walking stick.
Footballer Beckham has been spotted at a rapidly increasing slew of royal events in recent months including a private visit to Highgrove last May and is said to have fallen out with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The latest royal meeting comes just days after reports that the Sussexes had Davids eldest son Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz over for dinner in their Montecito mansion. Sources claimed previously that the Sussexes were said to be secretly supporting the couple because of their similar family feuds after they were a noticeable no-show at the footballers 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month.
[From The Daily Mail]
?Will be selling a new rose named after Charles the Kings Rose. Beckham wore the bright Pink flower pinned to his blazer.? Boot-licker! Suck-up! You would think with all of David?s money, power and cultural cachet, he would just abandon this exercise which sees him openly groveling to the royals. Like, at some point, he?s actually damaging his brand, right? Anyway, this serves as confirmation to me of my theory that Charles and William explicitly told Beckham to abandon the Sussexes if he ever wanted a knighthood. They?ve been dangling that just out of reach for years, and David obliges with whatever they want him to do. Including cutting off his son who is living in America.

| Cannes: 'Godmother' Angelina Jolie wore Brunello Cucinelli & Tom Ford | Added 54 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Angelina Jolie was asked to serve as ?godmother? to the recipients of the Trophee Chopard rising stars. The rising stars are recognized and feted at the Trophee Chopard dinner, held annually at the Cannes Film Festival. I don?t know when Angelina got into town, but she made two huge appearances in Cannes on Friday. She attended the red-carpet premiere of Eddington, and she also appeared at the Trophee Chopard ceremony and gave a speech. At both events, she happily posed with the two rising stars, Marie Colomb and Finn Bennett. Young Marie was awestruck she kept looking over at Angelina, almost like she couldn?t believe what was happening.
Fashion notes for Angelina?s first appearance in Cannes in 14 YEARS! At the Eddington premiere, Jolie wore a Brunello Cucinelli gown. The gown is a cashmere-silk blend with sequins. It?s pretty, but I wouldn?t have noticed it if not for the woman wearing it. For the Trophee Chopard dinner, she wore custom Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann, a one-sleeved sack which kind of sucks. She wore Chopard jewelry for all of her appearances. Maybe a Chopard contract is in the works? I hope so. Meanwhile, she?s been experimenting with various shades of ashy blonde and honey-blonde for months and I?m not really a fan. I wonder if the experiments have anything to do with her 50th birthday, coming up in June. Is she planning to go blonde permanently for her 50th?
As the Trophee Chopard dinner, Angelina gave one of the first speeches of the evening, and she used her time to recognize international filmmakers who have lost their lives in conflicts:
The godmother always offers introductory remarks and Jolie maximized her time by professing a love for international cinema while staying true to her humanitarian activism and calling attention to tragic stories of women who lost their lives amid war and conflict abroad.
?I love international cinema. We are brought to other lands, into private moments, even on the battlefield, we connect and we empathize. I think of films like My Father Shadow, which is premiering here at Cannes. Anything that is possible to make international cinema more accessible is necessary and welcome,? said Jolie. ?And none of us are naive. We know that many artists around the world lack the freedom and security to tell their stories, and many have lost their lives, like Fatima Hassouna, killed in Gaza, Shaden Gardood killed in Sudan, and Victoria Amelina killed in Ukraine, and so many other extraordinary artists who should be with us now. We owe all of those risking their lives and sharing their stories and experiences a debt of gratitude, because they have helped us to learn and to evolve.?
?What brings us here is not carpets, even though they?re lovely, but what brings us here is to connect to each other through international cinema and the opportunity to be with creative people,? she added. ?So I am very honored to be with so many brilliant global artists, including our honorees tonight, Finn Bennett and Mary Colon. You have both been acknowledged for the extraordinary versatility, authenticity, and empathy that you bring to your roles and as rising talents in global cinema. Thank you both for your contribution that you have already made to film and storytelling, and for everything that you will go on to do creatively.?
[From THR]
As always, Angelina is a real one. She?s also not a social butterfly last year?s Maria promotion was the most she?d been out and about in a decade. I was surprised to see videos of Jolie at this dinner, talking to various artists and celebrities who were basically all staring at her like they?d just seen Marlene Dietrich or something. She introduced herself to Quentin Tarantino, who was seated across from her (and who directed Brad Pitt just after Angelina escaped Pitt?s abuse). She spoke to Halle Berry too they?re supposedly working together, although I doubt that film actually gets made.

| Cannes: Jennifer Lawrence wore vintage Dior, Amal Clooney wore Galliano | Added 54 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson arrived in Cannes to promote their film, Die, My Love. Given Rob and J-Law?s chemistry and rizz, you would hope that someone would put them together for a sweet romance or a comedy. Nope this film is an adaptation of a novel about a woman with postpartum depression, and the depression turns into psychosis. For the big Cannes premiere, Jennifer got to wear a beautiful piece from the Dior archives this is a 1949 gown and it?s fine. I?m sure it?s beautiful in person, where you can see the artistry of it, but in photos, it just looks sort of flat and simple. It just occurred to me that messy Cannes organizers scheduled Sparkles and Kristen Stewart on consecutive nights. LOL.
Emma Stone needs to get the hell out of her Louis Vuitton ambassadorship. Either that, or LV?s designers need to stop listening to Emma?s ideas. She wore this ?custom? piece on the red carpet on Friday and I?m aghast that LV even wants their name on it. She?s wearing a BIB! Is this Louis Vuitton by way of Red Lobster??
Natalie Portman wore custom Christian Dior. Eh, it?s not my favorite and I don?t think it does much for Natalie, but overall, it?s fine.
Kristen Stewart in custom Chanel. I?m sorry, but this sucks!! You?re making an atelier like CHANEL make board shorts and a baseball cap for your Cannes premiere?? Please, stop.
An unexpected ?princess? look for Rooney Mara, who wore a custom Givenchy Couture. She looks nice, but one day, I would love to see her in a print.
Amal Clooney attended the Bono: Stories Of Surrender premiere on Friday. She went solo to the premiere, and she wore John Galliano with Cartier jewelry. Interesting, I guess. I?ve been getting a vibe about her marriage for a minute, but I?ll bite my tongue for the moment. I will say this she has really terrible posture. I used to think that she slouched because she didn?t want to tower over her husband, but now I realize that she just refuses to stand up straight.

| Kristen Stewart on filmmaking under Trump: 'expect the worst and fight for the best' | Added 56 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Kristen Stewart has a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter to promote her directorial debut, The Chronology of Water. Its based on the memoir of the same name by Lidia Yuknavitch, 61, an American former competitive swimmer turned novelist. Stewart was so moved by the book that she contacted Yuknavitch before she had finished the first chapter. The result is a screenplay co-written by Stewart and Andy Mingo, and a movie starring Imogen Poots, premiering today at Cannes. (We dont have those photos yet, but we do have these ones taken of her today outside her hotel.)
In Stewarts talk with THR shes raw, open and vulnerable about this film, which she says is just a first draft, and about her process in general. Thats not surprising coming from an actress whose vulnerability is captivating on screen. (Im not blowing smoke, Ive been a fan ever since I saw her in Happiest Season.) Stewart is guarded about her future plans though, just saying that she has 10 more movies she wants to make yesterday, but she knows better than to talk about them. Part of that may be due to the fact that the fascist in charge has his senile sights set on Stewarts industry, which shes all too aware of. Im excerpting just a small part of the interview, and theres much more at the source.
Why did Kristen Stewart land on The Chronology of Water for her first directing gig?
It was just a book that I read and impulsively, after 40 pages, put down and reached out to the writer. I thought, ?There are certain things that I?ve read that really do live in your brain and it would be an honor for them to live there.? And they get to multiply within your own personal experience. But this one felt like it needed to get up and share space with a lot of people. It was one of those books that I wanted to read out loud with all of my friends. It was one of those books that felt like a choir that you wanted to join. It felt like permission. And also this relationship that the book has to the corporeal and the physical? it?s uncharted territory in the cinema that I have personally consumed. We?re not reinventing the wheel or saying anything that someone else hasn?t said before.
On the changes in her industry
The loss is so palpable. It?s an exciting time to be alive. And it?s cool that we all get to be loud together, but at the same time, is that going to do anything? What?s gonna happen? I think we?re all looking over our shoulders going, ?Holy sh-t.? The slippage is just terrifying.
How big a shadow do you think Trump has cast over Hollywood and the film industry?
You mean like, for fear of being put on some ?f-k you? list?
And also the movie tariffs, encouraging such polarizing belief systems, or making Hollywood even more risk-averse than it already is.
We discuss this every day, like, what?s gonna happen? [Especially] now that we?ve finally found our voices? Not that it wasn?t treacherous before but now, [it is] in a way that is so literal, so strikingly essential and vital than ever, but naturally terrifying. I think [Trump?s] shadow is bleak and very dark. You could almost say opaque. And I think to try and work through that is what we?re going to do. But in terms of knowing anything, I think we should expect the worst and fight for the best. Stay vigilant. Look alive.
How do you feel about arriving in Cannes as a filmmaker, rather than an actor?
I cannot believe it. There?s not a more eloquent way [to say it]. We barely finished this movie. It?s not even done. I need to come home and literally have two more weeks in color and sound. This is my f-king first draft. Like, we are picture perfect. But when I tell you, we slid a very thin piece of paper under a closed door and they were like, ?Sure.? My head blew off. This was such a f-king Hail Mary, because [Cannes] is the place that you would like to go have conversations. So I was like, ?F-k it. We might as well try it.? I am not being false humble ? we?re all running on fumes. I was like, ?We can do it.? I was like an absolute basket case. I?m kind of happy to take on something vulnerable. I?m happy to take something with mistakes. Mistakes are f-king hot. I love stories about movies and filmmakers that have taken their films to Cannes and had to come back and fix a few things and release a different movie. It?s all about revealing yourself. So it?s very meta that we?re running in here half-dressed. But I?m into it.
How do you hope audiences react to The Chronology of Water?
I?ve said this, but people can interact with all of my work however they see fit. I really invite all of it. And that?s not like a self-preservation thing to say. I mean it. I?m like, this was the best we could do. This is what we meant to say. It might not land on everyone the same. In fact, when I say it absolutely won?t land on everyone the same. That?s not the point of ? and I say this in a French accent ? cinma. We?re supposed to have relationships with the art that?s put into the world. And they?re not all good ones. I guess as long as you do something that feels authentic in the very present moment. I can feel differently about it tomorrow. I can regret everything tomorrow. Right now, I don?t, so I?m very, very, very grateful to be in the place that I?ve always wanted to be. I?ve always looked up to [Cannes] with such reverence. Even if it?s messy, and honestly, my movie should be messy. This f-cking thing should sprawl. It sounds so dramatic, I mean this in a way that is incredibly celebratory ? it should be a woman limping and bleeding.
These 10 films that you want to make in the next five years. Can you talk about any of them?
Definitely not. This is something I do, I always tease too early.

Theres much more in the piece, including how much she respects and admires Imogen Poots, whom she describes as like a sister. It made me excited for this film and it doesnt even have a trailer I can find yet. Kristen is clearly burning the candle at both ends, and it shows in these photos of her today looking tired. Her approach to her work is admirable she did the best she could, shes open to revisions depending on the reception at Cannes and she knows that people will react to it differently.
As for her thoughts about Trump and the new reality were living under, a lot of people in so many different industries feel the same. Were afraid well be on some sort of list, but we just have to show up to work every day, do what we can and let it be messy and imperfect. I just finished season one of Andor and there are a lot of lessons there for resisting tyranny. Our small acts of resistance matter and our work matters.
Im assuming this outfit is Chanel. Its not cute. Her makeup looks ok in some photos and in others she looks washed out. Her hair color doesnt really suit her, but shell fix it Im sure. She switches up her hair often.

There are so many moving parts to this Peltz-Beckham-Windsor-Sussex feud, I feel like we might need to make a flow chart at some point. To recap, the Windsors and Sussexes are feuding off to one side, and on a completely different side, David and Victoria Beckham are feuding with Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham. The Beckham feud has become extremely heightened this week with a full-on briefing campaign from David and Victoria in which they?re painting Nicola as some Meghan Markle-esque American strumpet who stole their precious British prince. The story that brought everything together is that the Peltz-Beckhams had dinner at Harry and Meghan?s home recently. Camp Sussex took pains to say that Nicola and Brooklyn were friends-of-friends and not invited directly. But it?s enough for a full British tabloid sh-tstorm: Beckhams, princes, terrible suits, American billionaires, MEGHAN, Victoria, DRAMA! Well, the briefings from Beckingham Palace continue unabated the feud is now centered on Victoria vs. Meghan vs. Nicola/Brooklyn.
When David and Victoria Beckham learned their precious eldest son was socialising with Meghan Markle, how their hearts must have sunk. This, after all, is a woman they once considered a friend. A woman they went out of their way to look out for ? and who turned her back on them the moment someone wealthier came along. A woman who fell out with them after accusing Victoria of leaking stories about her.
The news that Meghan, alongside docile husband Harry, is befriending Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz would, surely, have caused the Beckhams to shudder in horror. Friends of David and Victoria were apparently stunned by The Sun?s revelations ? confirmed overnight by Meghan?s most trusted US publication, People magazine ? that Brooklyn had enjoyed an intimate dinner party at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex?s 11million Montecito mansion. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall at that 22-person gathering.
I?m told: ?David and Victoria were blindsided by the news ? they didn?t see it coming. Of course it?s a bit weird for them as they used to socialise with Meghan and Harry, and now their boy is doing it. David has no problem with Harry and has always acted very graciously towards him ? even after the fall-out with Victoria ? and they still communicate occasionally. However, once burned?.?.?.Naturally they therefore feel less warmly towards Meghan. They think she has acted truly awfully at times. The last thing they need is for her to be pouring bile into Brooklyn?s ear, telling him to cast his parents out, as she has done with her own dad. What was supposed to be a very private family feud is rapidly escalating and obviously it?s incredibly frustrating for the family.?
Sources who attended the dinner, arranged by the Paramount TV network, say the Peltz-Beckhams and Harkles ?got on really well?.
Presumably another huge fear for Team Beckham is that Brooklyn ?does a Harry? and writes an explosive memoir. He may only be 26, but Brooklyn has lived an extraordinarily privileged life and has seen the A-list celebrity circuit first-hand. Harry?s whinge-fest Spare was a Sunday Times bestseller and, well, unsparing in its criticism of certain members of the Royal Family. I?m told, though, that an auto-biography ?is not on Brooklyn?s radar, even though it would have some incredibly juicy chapters?. A source added: ?It just isn?t his style ? he would never do that to his family. He still loves and cherishes them and is desperate for reconciliation. He wouldn?t go nuclear like Harry and write a tell-all tome.?
[From The Sun]
There?s a lot more bile at the Sun, but you get the idea. As I?ve covered this unfolding Beckham mess, I have to say, there?s a fatal flaw in the British tabloid coverage. Well, there are tons of flaws, but one of the biggest mistakes is presuming that Americans think of Victoria Beckham as some untouchable A-list celebrity. She?s got name recognition in America, but she?s far from A-list here and all of this simpering of ?the grand A-lister Victoria Beckham would never leak about Meghan or Nicola, how gauche? falls flat. Especially given that it?s beyond clear that the Beckhams are absolutely waging a campaign against Brooklyn and Nicola, and they?re actively trying to ?Markle? their daughter-in-law. It?s pretty ugly, and it?s tacky as hell for the Beckhams to publicly snipe at the Sussexes for doing nothing but welcome the Peltz-Beckhams for dinner.

Here are more photos from Cannes Day 2. So far, I haven?t been too impressed with the glamour or fashion, which adds to my theory that Cannes is in its Bummer Era these days. It doesn?t help that many women probably have to wear their backup dresses, because Cannes organizers announced (on the eve of the festival) that there is a new ban on big, voluminous dresses and sheer/body-exposing fashion. Halle Berry even said that she had to change plans for her look on opening night. Well, I don?t know if she also had to change her planned outfit for Day 2, but holy sh-t. She wore this Celia Kritharioti Couture which is? AWFUL! I?ve seen a lot of commentary about Halle?s wacky style these days, but what?s crazy is? she still has that incredible figure, she?s still an extremely beautiful woman who looks much younger than 58. But she?s lost her style mojo and now she wanders around red carpets in sh-t like this.
Eva Longoria in Elie Saab. I love this? Beautiful color, glamorous, well-styled. I could nitpick the tailoring, but overall, one of the better looks I?ve seen at Cannes.
Irina Shayk in vintage Yves Saint Laurent while this is somewhat better than her previous Cannes looks, it?s still not great? Her styling is still tragic my hair looks like this ten minutes after washing it. Irina looks so tired!
Zoe Saldaa, the reigning Best Support Actress Oscar winner, turned up with her husband. Zoe wore Saint Laurent an incredibly basic black dress, jazzed up with a black leather jacket worn off the shoulder. Blah but I wasn?t impressed with her style during the awards season either.
Heidi Klum in Elie Saab. Nope. Unflattering! It doesn?t fit her.
