| Minnie Driver: 'In England, I felt I was punished' for being ambitious' | Added 340 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
Minnie Driver lived and worked in America for nearly three decades. Many British celebrities view America as a place to work but disparage as a place with inferior culture compared to Britain. But Minnie loved her life in California, living in a fancy trailer in Malibu and raising her son Henry. Nowadays, she splits her time between California and the UK, because Henry goes to school over there. But she has nice things to say about America and awful things to say about Donald Trump in an interview with the Times of London. Some highlights:
Her ?Cinderella moment? while promoting ?Circle of Friends? in America. Landing in the US having lost the weight again, she was treated to the full Hollywood glam-over. ?They came at my hair and blow-dried it straight. And they got me a good bra and the right size jeans. And suddenly I was sleek. Suddenly, I was revealed to myself as being a girl who was pretty, and it was so exciting.?
Being 54 years old: ?I?d much rather have my face when I was 25. But I certainly wouldn?t want to have to go through all that sh-t again, of all the other attendant stuff that was coming down the pipe.?
She?s back to living in London after 27 years in Los Angeles. ?I will always be between both places, but my son?s at school here, so if I?m not working, I?m wherever he is.?
She stopped making movies when she became a mother: ?It?s why I stopped making movies, really consciously. I called my agent and went, ?OK, I?m having a baby and I would really like you to go and look for a show that?s called Shoots in Los Angeles and will pay me a regular wage. I couldn?t be travelling. I couldn?t be taking a tiny baby to Romania ? and I didn?t want to. As a single mum, I didn?t want him to have that uncertainty. I wanted him to have school and football and mates and tea and his own bed and our house.?
She was happy to find work in America: ?In America there was just this idea of, ?Whatever you want to do, try it. Do it. Throw everything you have at it and see what happens.? There is this idea that you?re allowed to renew and to change course; you?re allowed to pivot. I can be a writer, I can be a musician, I can be a mother, I can be an actor ? you don?t have to be just one thing. In England, I felt I was punished for wanting more. I was punished for being ambitious. The British press think it?s greedy for me to want to be more.?
Whether she believes things really changed with #MeToo: ?Yes, I do. But not because of some kind of systemic epiphany that men had. Rather, because they know that there?s accountability now. There are actually mechanisms in place [which mean] that kind of behaviour can?t be hidden. And I think #MeToo put a dent in it, but I just don?t know whether that power dynamic is ever really going to be redressed. Revolutions are bloody. People want to maintain the status quo for as long as they possibly can until they absolutely can?t and then, kicking and screaming, people will change.?
Another big change for the industry: ?I watched Challengers the other night and what I loved most was seeing that Zendaya was a producer. Not an executive producer ? a producer.? She namechecks Margot Robbie, the creative force behind Barbie. ?They?re like, ?I?m part of this creation, I am making this happen.? And I think maybe that is how it changes. We all should have been doing that back in the Nineties. When I think about the work that I did on scripts, the fixing things, the making stuff better, absolutely uncredited. I made so many of the roles that I was in through improv, through rewriting, through ideas that were all then completely uncredited. So what?s great is that these girls are now getting credit for it.?
She is British but: ?I identify as a Californian.? Driver is more anxious than jubilant [about Trump?s felony conviction]. ?He?s going to say that the whole thing is like the election, that it?s corrupt. Of course he deserves to be in prison ? of course he does. But just looking at how much money he raised in that two days, $53 million in a 48-hour period, and the idea that because the founding fathers ? if there had been some mothers involved perhaps it would be different ? left no room in the constitution for the idea that the American people could be so stupid as to vote for a felon, there is nothing reflected in the judiciary about what would happen if he wins. It?s a pickle when you?ve got the Secret Service already scoping out prisons, going, ?What would this look like?? ?
Whether she would live in America again if Trump was reelected: ?If I lived in a red [Republican] state, no, I couldn?t. But living in California, you are somewhat insulated. But do you want to go and live in a bubble? Do you run away from the fire or do you go back and help?? It?s not just Trump himself, she says, but ?the revelation of the 70 million people who really quite like a bit of a racist attitude and non-existent immigration policies and dismantling the environmental agencies. And they were always there; they weren?t created by him. He?s just a symptom, and now they?ve got a mascot.?.
[From The Times]
Yeah, her assessment of Trump and the MAGA cult is dead on. Trump IS a symptom. The thing is, while I think the cult is a fundamental crack in America?s foundations, I also feel like it?s an underreported story especially by the American media that the cult seems to be less enthusiastic these days. The same energy isn?t there. Minnie?s right about being insulated from everything in California too, and she?s right about how the industry has changed.

| Sarah Ferguson: 'The American people are extraordinarily kind to me' | Added 344 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Sarah Ferguson was in New York two weeks ago, did y?all know that? I didn?t. There was barely any coverage of her visit in the American or British media. She was in NYC for UN Climate Week, same as Prince Harry. She hasn?t said if they saw each other. She was invited to the launch of Youth Impact Council, which has asked her to be a Founding Ambassador. To celebrate, Fergie spoke to People Magazine about her love of New York and her love of America, in general.
Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, has a special place in her heart for the city of New York. In an interview with PEOPLE on Sept. 25 during New York Climate Week, the Duchess of York reflected on her experiences in the city. During her visit, Ferguson, affectionately known as Fergie, announced the launch of the Youth Impact Council, a new nonprofit organization where she will serve as Founding Ambassador. The council aims to elevate the voices of youth activists who are making significant strides in climate action, social justice, and innovation.
When asked about her plans during her time in N.Y.C., Fergie referenced a quintessential delicacy ? a hot dog with mustard, ketchup, sauerkraut and relish!
It was so good! And everyone laughed at me, saying, You can?t possibly eat the hot dog. And I said, Oh, yeah, got in the car, and what did they do? [They] all wanted to eat it! she tells PEOPLE.
I like to get yellow cabs, the Duchess of York, 64, shares about her N.Y.C. traditions. My favorite film is An Affair to Remember, so every time I see the Empire State Building I think of Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr. I know youve seen Sleepless in Seattle, but I remember An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant.
New York has been my home. The American people are extraordinarily kind to me, Fergie tells PEOPLE. I feel I am very Anglo-American. I know the language. I got it down. I don?t say lift, I say elevator. When I arrive in America, I speak American. Sort of. With a posh voice, she jokes.
[From People]
Fergie has never really talked sh-t about America America gave her a second chance, she made a lot of money in America, and she clearly enjoys the vibe here. She, more than anyone else associated with that family, understands why Harry chose to move to California. A fully-loaded hot dog though?? Even I wouldn?t do that. Okay, maybe I would get one without the sauerkraut.

| Christina Ricci has her own tarot deck: 'there is real magic in the world' | Added 344 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
It?s Spooky Season, bitches, and Christina Ricci is serving us a dose of mysticism. On October 8, Christina debuted her own tarot deck and guide, called Cat Full of Spiders. Christina, who is leaning into her reputation as the Xennial ?goth? queen (Gen X, you guys have Winona Ryder, we get to claim Christina!), designed the cards with the help of her husband, Mark Hampton, and California artist Felipe Flores, as well as the ?wisdom? of tarot expert Minerva Siegel. The deck, which has 78 cards and comes with a guidebook to explain each card, is supposed to be a ?surrealist dive? into Christina?s ?cinematic subconscious.? To celebrate the tarot?s launch, Christina gave People an exclusive interview to talk about her inspiration behind her love of tarot, her acting legacy, and why she wanted put out her own deck.
She feels lucky to play such awesome women: I just feel like I kind of lucked out, Ricci tells PEOPLE exclusively when asked about her experience portraying such unique roles. I was lucky as a young person at that time [with] where our culture was to play really interesting roles, interesting young girls and then interesting women.
On her new tarot deck: Launching on Oct. 8, just in time for the spookiest season of the year, Cat Full of Spiders is a surrealist dive into Riccis cinematic subconscious, featuring 78 cards and a specially curated guidebook explaining each tarot card. It also includes fun, simple tarot spreads for beginners who want to experiment with an easy reading.
Magic is real: Although the Yellowjackets star first discovered tarot cards on the set of Now and Then ? when her character (Roberta) visits a psychic with her friends ? her relationship with mysticism goes much deeper. My perspective on pretty much all things mystical is that there is real magic in the world. Most of it is sort of grounded and nature-based, she says. I think all of the magic that comes from something like tarot has a lot to do with the person asking the questions.
What the tarot means to her: Tarot for me feels like an incredible instrument to use your self-knowledge, self-reflection capabilities [and] your intuition, Ricci says. You come as yourself with your full journey behind you, all the things youve collected in your life emotionally and experientially.
?You exist in the context of all in which you live,? etc: The way you interpret the card in relation to your question has everything to do with who you are and all of your experiences ? all the spiders that youve swallowed, she says. Riccis ability to intertwine such creative and profound metaphors with mystical elements showcases not just her creativity but her deep understanding of the human experience.
Her tarot deck reflects herself: The minor arcana are all younger versions of me because all of those things have come from my subconscious and have all been expressions of some version of myself. Thats why there are a lot of little nods and references to characters Ive played.
The importance of the individual: This idea also speaks to what I want to do as a humanitarian [which is] pointing out to people that each individual is so much more than what you see in front of them. The depths of our minds, our subconscious, are so incredible and so rich, and just the idea that this sort of theme reinforces the importance of the individual over the group.
She?s a true Aquarius: I do feel like Im a good match for an Aquarius, Ricci says when asked if she resonates with her zodiac sign. I care a lot about humanity, but more at the level of individuals. I have some passions and themes in my life that have a lot to do with my interest in humanity.
A highly intellectual Air sign, Aquarius is governed by revolutionary Uranus, the planet of rebellion, individual freedom and unexpected change. Everything from the intriguing roles Ricci has portrayed to her innate connection with the supernatural goes hand-in-hand with Aquarius unique essence. I dont really fit into any kind of stereotype and I very much do things my own way, and it totally makes sense to me, [even when] other people think its crazy, she adds.
[From People]
This is awesome! I love that Christina is doing something like this, and not some quick money grab that?s not authentic to her own self. I?m also a very firm believer that there is ?real magic? in this world, and I?m not talking about the kind where you pull a rabbit out of a hat. I think there are too many stories from every different belief system to deny that there isn?t something else out there. Anyway, I?m also an Aquarius (different years, but my birthday is four days before hers), so she had me at that! That said, I?m really intrigued by her cards. I do not have any extensive experience in tarot reading, but on a whim last year, I bought a deck from Barnes & Noble. I read the instructions and watched a few videos, but I am still a little confused about all of it, so if anyone has any tips, I?d love to hear them.
Oh, and I absolutely love that Christina mentions that she got her tarot start while filming Now and Then. That movie, which I rewatched a year or so ago and it *totally* holds up, is a huge part of my own personal coming-of-age story, too. I mean, what Elder Millennial doesn?t remember where they were when they first saw that Christina/Devon Sawa kiss scene? And yes, the exact same can also be said of their Casper scene. Bah, both of those movies gave me some magical awakenings, if you know what I mean.

| Princess Diaries 3 is coming with Anne Hathaway returning and a new director | Added 345 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Reboot alert! Because everything old is new again, The Princess Diaries is coming back for a third go-round. In a video posted to Instagram over the weekend, Anne Hathaway announced that she is set to return as Mia Thermopolis. So far, there?s no official word on whether or not Julie Andrews or Chris Pine will be reprising their roles as the Queen of Genova or Nicholas Devereaux, but in the past, both Sandra Oh and Mandy Moore have said they?d be game to return. The first two movies, which came out in 2001 and 2004, were directed by the late Garry Marshall. The third movie will be directed by Adele Lim, who previously directed Joy Ride and who?s writing credits include Disney?s delightful Raya and the Last Dragon and Crazy Rich Asians.
Adele Lim is returning to work with Disney as director of the third installment of its prized Princess Diaries franchise. It?s the second time Lim will be behind the camera after writing Disney?s animated 2021 movie, Raya and the Last Dragon. Lim made her directorial debut with the raunchy Lionsgate R-rated female Asian American comedy Joy Ride.
Debra Martin Chase is producing Princess Diaries 3. EPs include Lim?s producing partner Naia Cucukov and Melissa Stack. Flora Greeson is writing the screenplay.
Disney launched The Princess Diaries in 2001, catapulting Anne Hathaway into a marquee name at the box office. There was also a 2004 sequel, The Princess Diaries: Royal Engagement. Both also starred Julie Andrews and were directed by the late Garry Marshall. Together both pics grossed $300M WW. The first movie followed Hathaway?s Mia Thermopolis, who learns she?s the heir apparent to the throne of Genovia. She takes her friends Lilly and Michael Moscovitz along for the ride as she tries to navigate through teenagedom.
Lim tells us: ?As a diehard fan of the original Princess Diaries, I?m beyond excited to be a part of bringing the third iteration of this beloved franchise to life. We look forward to celebrating its core tenants of female power, joy and mentorship with audiences worldwide.?
Lim?s credits include being a writer-producer on such TV shows as One Tree Hill and Lethal Weapon, as well as being the co-showrunner on the CW series Star-Crossed.
She wrote Warner Bros.? blockbuster Jon Chu-directed rom-com Crazy Rich Asians, which grossed $174M stateside and picked up nominations for Best Picture at the Golden Globes and Producers Guild Awards and won the Critics Choice Award.
Last year Lim partnered with Naia Cucukov to form the production company 100 Tigers. Cucukov was a former Walden Media senior executive who?s credits include the Netflix series The Baby-Sitters Club and Manhunt. The mission for the company is to ?foster and empower artists and projects that share our passion for female-forward, cross-cultural stories with global appeal and a glossy edge.? 100 Tigers has several projects in development at various studios including Amazon/MGM, HBO Max and ABC.
Lim is repped by Paradigm and Ginsburg, Daniels, Kallis. Chase is repped by CAA and Del Shaw Moonves. Cucukov is repped by Paradigm and Sean Marks. Stack is represented by CAA and Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment. Greeson is repped by Kaplan/Perrone and UTA.
[From Deadline]
I admit, The Princess Diaries is one that never even pinged on my radar of movies they could bring back. It?s kind of hard to believe that it?s *only* been 20 years since the second movie came out in theaters. It feels like so much longer for some reason. I loved the first two movies back in the day, but I don?t know if we need another Princess Diaries movie. That said, I?m a big fan of a lot of Lim?s work and think she?s a great choice for this project. I?m curious to know more about it as it develops. (Right now, theres a script, but no other details.) It sounds like Best Chris (Pine) is game to return, too. When asked about the possibility of ever coming back for a third movie, he told Entertainment Tonight last year, Im here for it. Give me ? give me a phone call or an email.? If Best Chris is here for it, then let?s face it, I?m probably gonna be here for it too.

| Jude Law on royalty: 'I don't know that I want to bow down to anyone, personally' | Added 348 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Jude Law is currently promoting Firebrand, where he plays late-in-life Henry VIII. They cast a former pretty-boy to play the former pretty-boy king. Thankfully, Jude has aged better than Henry VIII although I still wince whenever I see Jude?s current hairline. Still, I understand why he has so many babies (seven at last count). Jude recently chatted about Firebrand, British royalty, Hollywood and the 1990s with the Times. Some highlights:
On Hollywood: ?Hollywood?s a hungry machine. Always looking for the new kid on the block. The attention cools off if your movies are not making a ton of money. There is a definite tier system as to who is offered what first, and if the work is not coming in as freely you have to consider what you want to do.?
On Firebrand. He thinks the film is about ?surviving domestic abuse? and Law speaks of Henry as ?a gangster ? a former golden boy who?s rotting?. And as he continues speaking of ?fear?, ?despicable behaviour?, ?physical ownership? and ?sheer brutality.?
The comparison to Harvey Weinstein: ?Yeah. Honestly, I never thought of him specifically ? I didn?t focus in on Harvey?s life and downfall. But I was very aware that Henry symbolises the downfall of many men who soared through life with great success and got drunk on power, abused it and fell. And so Harvey must have crossed my mind. That disregard ??
Whether he?s a royalist? ?I don?t know that I am. I?m intrigued by their history. But I?ve never been a great believer in treating someone a certain way because they are born under a title. And I don?t know that I want to bow down to anyone, personally.?
Why he does studio films: ?Indie films don?t pay, so sometimes you get a franchise and go, ?Fantastic, I can put that extension on my house.??
The ?90s revival: ?I?ve been thinking about that. We always talked about the phone being the downfall of that era, that way of living. But, that said, we were all 20 then and now we?re all 50. It was a good time to be 20. I?ve got such fond memories, I don?t know that I want to try and relive them.?
He?s enthusiastic: ?Enthusiasm doesn?t seem very palatable in the UK. But then I?ve always felt like I don?t really fit in.?
[From The Times]
?But I?ve never been a great believer in treating someone a certain way because they are born under a title. And I don?t know that I want to bow down to anyone, personally.? It honestly just struck me that Jude isn?t one of those British actors who play the game with the Windsors he?s not looking to socialize with the Windsors, he rarely attends events with them and he?s not cozying up to any charities or patronages associated with them. That?s interesting. He just does his own thing and moves around in Hollywood and British productions. He?s the quiet small-r republican. Good for him.

| Neve Campbell confirms: she's getting paid properly to return to 'scream' franchise | Added 349 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |
|
|
|
|
|
Last fall, Melissa Barrera was fired from the Scream franchise, and her friend and costar Jenna Ortega quit the franchise in solidarity with Melissa. The rebooted franchise was built around Melissa?s Sam Carpenter, a character who is the secret daughter of Billy Loomis (Skeet Ulrich). Skeet even returned to the franchise as Billy?s ghost, helping his daughter along the way. I?m seriously not a fan of the Scream reboot. I love the original franchise so much, and I accept that Gen Z wants their own thing, but the reboot was poorly done and it?s way too stabby (people are being stabbed in the gut a million times and still walking around??). They tried to bring back the legacy franchise characters, but Neve Campbell?s Sidney Prescott was written out of the last film (Scream VI) because producers didn?t want to pay Neve what she was worth. Well, now that the studio has fired Barrera and Ortega?s out the door the same studio went crawling back to Neve and begged her to save the franchise once again. Neve agreed. She recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight about what?s happening there:
Neve Campbell is ready to face off against Ghostface once again. While both Scream (2022) and Scream VI focused primarily on a newer generation of teens being stalked by the masked killer, Campbell revealed to ETs Rachel Smith that the seventh installment will take the franchise back to its roots and focus on Sidney Prescott, the central character of the first four films.
We are going to follow Sidney, Campbell confirmed, adding that the idea is in the same vein as Jamie Lee Curtis highly publicized return to the role of Laurie Strode in the Halloween franchise, 40 years after the original. They did pitch the concept to me, and it?s the reason that I jumped on board, Campbell added, after admitting she has not received a final script just yet but is hoping to receive it this week.
I love these movies, they are so much fun to be a part of, Im so grateful for them, I could never have imagined being a part of a movie that would have lasted this many decades, Campbell gleefully admitted.
The first Scream was released in theaters nearly 30 years ago in 1996. The fandom is nuts, they are incredible and very passionate about these films, she added. Im excited to give them a new one!
While Campbell returned for the legacy reboot Scream (2022), she was noticeably absent from Scream VI following a pay dispute. The actress spoke out publicly in 2022 that she would sadly not be returning because she felt the offer that was presented to me did not equate to the value I have brought to the franchise. In a rare move, the production studio behind the films, Spyglass Media Group, listened to Campbell and came back to her with a proper offer for this next sequel.
The Party of Five actress admitted it was so satisfying to be heard by the studio. Im super grateful that they came around on it. [Scream VI] just didnt feel right. I couldnt after this many decades of carrying a franchise, to feel undervalued and underpaid and to know that it wouldnt have happened to a man in that way. It just wouldnt make sense for me to walk on that set. So, Im glad I stood up for myself, Campbell said before adding she hopes it inspired others in the industry too.
[From ET]
I?m also really glad that producers came back and offered her real money for playing this iconic character. It was insulting that they thought they could do a Scream movie without her, and that?s what started the curse on the franchise. That being said, there?s no way Spyglass would have gone back to Neve with this offer if their gambit to build the franchise around Melissa hadn?t blown up in their faces. Going back to Neve was basically their only option. I kind of doubt they?ll recast the Sam Carpenter role, right? They might need to just reboot this mess all over again.
ET also says that Courteney Cox and Patrick Dempsey are in talks to return to the franchise. Dempsey?s character (a cop) is supposed to be married to Sidney, and Cox would be returning as Gale Weathers. I know his character died, but I?d love it if Liev Schreiber found a way to make a cameo.

| Deadpool and Wolverine breaks Fandango's first day sales records | Added 349 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

Over the summer, Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, scored a massive, much-needed box office victory for Marvel. It broke records at the box office, too, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all-time, beating out The Passion of the Christ, and smashing Fifty Shades of Grey?s record for the most opening weekend ticket sales for an R-rated movie. On Tuesday, October 1, Deadpool & Wolverine came out digitally for streaming and it kept up that same energy from its theatrical release. In fact, it broke yet another record, this time becoming Fandango at Home?s ?best first-day seller? of 2024.
Just one day after the digital release of Deadpool & Wolverine on Tuesday, the Shawn Levy-directed film became the best first-day seller of 2024 for Fandangos streaming service Fandango at Home, the movie retail company announced in a press release.
It is no surprise that Deadpool & Wolverine continues to smash records across Fandango services well after its initial theatrical release in July, said Cameron Douglas, SVP of Home Entertainment at Fandango. We are thrilled to see so many fans rushing to relive the excitement that Deadpool & Wolverine gave us, in the comfort of their homes.
Upon its release in theaters, the film broke Fandangos record for most opening weekend ticket sales for an R-rated movie, surpassing 2015s Fifty Shades of Grey, as well as the record for the best opening weekend ticket sales of 2024.
Deadpool & Wolverine, which stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as the title characters, earned $211 million at the domestic box office during its debut weekend, according to Disney, by far the largest opening ever for an R-rated movie. The record was previously held by the original Deadpool, which debuted at $132.4 million in 2016.
The big haul also represented the sixth-largest domestic opening weekend ever, putting the debut just ahead of Jurassic World and behind Star Wars: The Last Jedi, according to Box Office Mojo.
Worldwide, Deadpool & Wolverine grossed a whopping $1.3 billion during its theatrical run. The film earned a ??? rating from USA TODAY movie critic Brian Truitt, who called Deadpool & Wolverine a delightfully meta, proudly gonzo buddy-comedy team-up thats extremely violent, often hilarious, occasionally touching and always a good time.
[From USA Today]
I am not at all surprised at this news. Deadpool & Wolverine is a fun movie with so many cameos/characters that showed up, as well as what felt like four inside jokes per minute. That totally makes it a prime candidate for a rewatch or two or three. It also has a killer soundtrack. My husband and I wanted to see it in theaters for a second time but never got the chance to. It?s expensive on digital, though! It?s $30 to buy or $25 fo rent for 48-hours. We?ll probably wait a little while to see if prices come down or if it eventually streams on Disney+ for free. For those of you physical media fans, it will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray on October 22. I hope there are extras that come along with both the digital and physical releases, because I bet those bloopers and deleted scenes are hilarious.

| Jennifer Aniston on featuring rescue dogs on her Instagram: 'It's so hard, but it helps' | Added 350 days ago | Source: CeleBitchy |

|
|
|
Jennifer Aniston has always been a great dog momma and rescue advocate. Her first pup was Norman, whom she famously rescued after he had a bit part on Friends (the boy couldn?t act, but he could love!). Norman has sadly left us, as did Jen?s dog Dolly. But she still has in her pack Lord Chesterfield and Clyde. In 2021 Jen turned Clyde?s illustrated alter-ego Clydeo into a children?s book, and this month she just released a fourth in the series: Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life. She also just launched The Clydeo Fund, which aims to help out shelters that take care of our pups on their way to finding forever homes. Jen spoke with People Mag to tout both projects, and she talked about how she keeps posting dogs on her Instagram so they can be rescued, even if it?s tough to constantly be faced with their hopeful, longing mugs.
Jennifer Aniston had made it her mission to help rescue as many animals as possible.
Along with her new children?s book, Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life, and The Clydeo Fund, which supports animal shelters, the actress, producer, and entrepreneur, 55, also uses her Instagram account to share stories of rescue dogs in need.
?It?s so hard, but it helps; they get seen and rescued,? she tells PEOPLE. ?It?s almost impossible to keep up with it. But I?m constantly updated that so-and-so got rescued. So all I keep thinking is if one gets out, that?s all I care about.?
The Morning Show star and executive producer wrote her new picture book, illustrated by Bruno Jacob and inspired by one of her rescue dogs, Clyde, to help motivate kids to explore their interests. ?They?re so focused on these phones and just disappear into this void of scrolling,? she says. ?They don?t really spend time being stimulated by the world and figuring out what they want to do.?
First introduced as an animated dog on Aniston?s Instagram account in 2021, Clydeo now has a four-book children?s series. ?When they came to me with the idea, it was like, ?Obviously, I?ll make it about something that I fully love and adore, which is my rescue animals,?? she says.
The actress also wanted to ?create a fund where we can donate to these animals all over the world and inspire people to just throw in a dollar. It all adds up,? she says. ?We can get awareness out and help the shelters that are in desperate need.?
With every dollar donated, The Clydeo Fund will help organizations rescue, rehabilitate, and find forever homes for animals. ?We can help these animals, and we can get awareness out, and help the shelters that are in desperate need of upkeep because they?re falling apart,? explains the former Friends star. ?They can?t keep up. And all you see is that we?re euthanizing innocent, beautiful, perfectly, perfectly fine two-year-old dogs, or a puppy, or a litter. I can?t. It?s too much. It?s too many.?
[From People]
Oh, I feel you Jen! Seeing all those faces, you just want to scoop up and rescue all the floofs! Like Molly Shannon in Year of the Dog. While I usually side eye when yet another celebrity comes out with a childrens book, I have no problem making an exception here. I love that Jen is helping out the shelters ? they deserve all the funding and support we can give them! I just went through all this with My Guy, and the shelter that picked him up took such great care of him. He was three-years-old when he came to them and sick, un-chipped, and not neutered. After making sure he recovered from his illness, they got him microchipped, neutered, and up-to-date on all his vaccines. Maybe that?s pretty standard now, but it wasn?t when I rescued My Girl over a decade ago, so I greatly appreciated it! Here?s to Jen in her very best Doris Day Dog Advocate Era!

I still say that it was a bad idea for Zendaya to sign on to a brand ambassadorship with Louis Vuitton. She is THE fashionista of the moment and every atelier wants to dress her. The only positive thing I?ll say is that her LV contract must be non-exclusive, because it does not seem like she has to wear LV exclusively on every red carpet. LV wants Zendaya?s fashion clout though, they want her at every show, they want her to bring all of the cameras and attention. So here we are Zendaya attended the LV Spring show this week in Paris.
Vogue describes her look as ?reminiscent of the suiting silhouettes that dominated the 1980s, notably in cult-classic films like Working Girl.? How dare you, Vogue!! This is not Working Girl-inspired in the least. It IS ?80s inspired though, and I mean that in the most derogatory way possible. I?m not anti-bubble skirt, but the blazer is killing me.
Cate Blanchett also went to the LV show. Those pants are objectively hilarious. Cate?s bob is lethal these days.
Alicia Vikander is still a brand-ambassador for LV, I believe. The way they styled her should tell you everything you need to know about LV.
Chloe Moretz arguably got the best look. She?s giving Florence Pugh vibes here.

Last week, Vanity Fair did a lovely wrap-up piece about Prince Harry?s NYC trip: ?Prince Harry?s Transition From Working Royal to Global Advocate Is Now Complete.? I agree while Harry?s meetings and appearances weren?t huge stories, his trip showed that he?s booked and busy and he has a lot on his plate. VF had details about the meetings and events associated with Sentebale, African Parks, The HALo Trust, Travalyst, The Diana Award and more. VF also editorialized a bit which I enjoyed:
Harry?s CGI speech: When Harry took the stage at the Clinton Global Initiative on Tuesday morning, it was clear just how far he had come as a speaker and a public figure. He paced the stage, TED Talk?style, and used his personal cell phone as a visual aid. He began by discussing the Space Race, using it as an extended metaphor for the unforeseen effects that technology can have on our politics. Compared to the uplifting yet somewhat hesitant speeches he used to give five years ago, the prince was brimming with purpose when talking about Big Tech.
All business: In under 72 hours, he packed in at least seven events with a handful of his charities, some of which have counted him as a patron for more than a decade. He gave prepared remarks at most of the events, which meant he was switching gears from subjects ranging from youth empowerment to minefields and conflict to the climate impacts of travel to the ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis in Southern Africa at the drop of the hat.
Harry?s role is different: Where William and Charles have walked the line of representing British government interests while establishing themselves as global leaders in fighting climate change, Harry?s role outside of the palace means he?s coming as a representative of himself?and his ideas. His comments this week reveal a direct point of view now, formed both by his years in the royal family, the research he?s done, and the experiences he?s had outside of it.
Project-driven: Harry and Meghan have always been more project-driven than his Windsor family relatives, a quality which was previously met with skepticism and some disdain from the palace staff. ?You can say what you want about Meghan, but she works incredibly hard,? an insider told Vanity Fair?s Katie Nicholl in 2020, months after their royal exit. ?The problem is she and Harry have a tendency to hatch big projects over dinner and expect them to be actioned within days.? It?s now been four years since they started their Archewell Foundation, and in his whirlwind trip, Harry?s charity appearances made the implicit argument that he has a lot to show for his years outside of the palace.
[From Vanity Fair]
That last part ?Harry?s charity appearances made the implicit argument that he has a lot to show for his years outside of the palace? is exactly why there was so much energy towards ?Meghan is a bully? last week. The aim was distraction, the aim was to minimize Harry?s work. Speaking of, the NY Post ran this: ?Prince Harry debuted his reinvention in NYC, but it was ?hijacked? by ?Duchess Difficult? Meghan.? To hear the Post tell it, you?d think that United Nations diplomats are simply glued to Us Weekly for breaking royal news. This piece also told me that Harry?s brother is incandescent with jealousy over Harry?s busy trip.
The Post claims Meghan hijacked Harry?s newscycle: We were with the renegade royal as he toured the Big Apple; talking about his hopes for the future and making fun of his troubled past. He also revealed how important it is for him to follow in his mother, Princess Diana?s footsteps, which always pulls at the heartstrings. All in all, he proved yet again that he can be immensely likable and charming, when he wants to be. But even though she was back at the couple?s California mansion, Harry?s wife made her presence known. The Sussex camp enrolled a cast list of staffers past and present to hit back after claims were again made that Megan, the Duchess of Sussex is, in fact, ?Duchess Difficult?. One political insider in NY for the UN General Assembly (UNGA) told us, ?This totally hijacked any coverage Harry got?it was quite an own goal.?
Harry the wannabe statesman? Sources told Page Six that, despite everything, this is the direction Harry wants to take; he wants to be seen as a statesman and philanthropist. However, the political insider told Page Six he has some way to go before he can claim the kind of impact made by Hollywood stars such as Matt Damon and Jennifer Garner, with her kids charity ?Once Upon a Farm?. Sophia Bush also spoke at the Clinton event. She?s a well known humanitarian and launched her charity, ?Pencils of Promise?, a 2008-founded nonprofit that has built more than 550 schools, largely in Ghana, Guatemala and Laos. The insider said, ?Harry has got a long way to go to be remotely on the same level as Matt Damon. He?s not yet viewed as a statesman ? or as a celebrity who has really made a huge philanthropic impact. He?s not like Jennifer Garner [or] Sophia Bush ? those are real social impact activists.?
Stay out of the tabloids, Harry! ?You?ll have to watch this space to see how far Harry can go,? said another political source who has worked with President Barack Obama, ?If he can get his personal issues out of the tabloids, he might well achieve some big things.?
[From Page Six]
I?m sorry, but why is ?He?s not like Jennifer Garner [or] Sophia Bush ? those are real social impact activists? so funny to me? I mean zero disrespect to Sophia or J-Garn, they?re doing their own work and it?s all completely admirable. But to use their names to disparage Harry, the founder of the Invictus Games? You?re telling me Sophia Bush is a more globally recognized activist and advocate than Prince Harry? The sources/insiders claiming this are not serious people. Anyway, in case you missed it, the people who have spent years smearing Meghan and now really mad that she?s fought back at long last.
