I?m so hungry for any kind of red carpet or street-style photos these days, I jump at the chance to write about anything fashion-related. So here we go! Bella Hadid is in New York right now, after spending several months in lockdown with her family in Pennsylvania, where (I think?) they have some kind of horse farm. Bella has actually been on the move for the past month, but I guess she?s been settling down in New York (she owns an apartment in the city).
Bella was seen doing some shopping yesterday in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. She stopped by 10 Ft Single by Stella Dallas, which is a vintage shop. As you can see, it looks like Bella got quite the haul. I used to love vintage shops but these days, I rarely buy clothes in person (I?ve ordered everything clothing-wise online for years now). If I had Bella?s figure, I would love shopping in person though. I bet she?s the annoying friend who looks good in everything she tries on.
As for Bella?s look I?ve seen some sites describe it as a ?90s retro style and I can sort of see that. If you dropped Bella into 1997 with this ensemble, she would not stand out at all. The jewelry choices especially the choker are very ?90s. I?m debating whether the pants/jeans are ?90s though they?re more early ?00s to me. Most of the cool kids in the ?90s would have looked down on those jeans as too corporate, too cutesy! But going braless in a tank = totally ?90s. And it?s always nice to see an It Girl modeling good mask-wearing behavior!

Kim Kardashian spent 24 hours in Wyoming this week and apparently, a lot happened during that time. Kim was seen crying in the car with Kanye (as he looked mid-rant), and I think it probably says something about Kanye?s current state that she left so quickly. Kim feels ?exhausted? by Kanye?s current manic episode and ?very hurt? by the things he?s said and done. A source told Page Six this week: ?Kim has known about Kanye?s bipolar disorder all along, and she has worked hard privately to support him and protect him and their kids. But this is the worst episode he has ever had. She fears he may have to hit rock bottom before he finally wakes up and realizes what he has done.? Is this the worst episode? I think it?s the worst in terms of the Kardashian-West marriage, but his episode in 2018, when he was glassy-eyed and ranting in the Oval Office, was a lot worse. Anyway, sources (?sources?) have been pouring their guts out to People Magazine:
When Kim Kardashian West flew to Cody, Wyoming, on Monday to see her husband Kanye West, it wasnt exactly a happy reunion.
This is a very sad time for her, says a source of the reality star, who has been struggling to navigate her marriage amidst Wests recent public outbursts. Shes really upset.
Kim feels trapped, the source says. She loves Kanye and she thinks of him as the love of her life. But she doesnt know what to do.
Indeed, multiple sources say that the six-year union between West, 43, and Kardashian, 39, was under strain even before the recent incidents. Since, things have come close to a breaking point.
Kim was thinking that they need to be apart, says the source of Kardashian, who returned home to Los Angeles on Tuesday. She knows that its not healthy for her to be around him now, and its honestly not healthy for the kids. He needs to get his stuff together before he can be any sort of partner or father. Still, no matter what, Kim wants the best for Kanye, an insider says. And she will always want whats best for him.

I?ve been defending Kim a lot because I really, genuinely feel for her, just as I have a lot of empathy for all of the families who deal day-to-day, week-to-week with mental illness and bipolar disorder. But Kim is not ?trapped.? She is in a bad place, for sure, and I don?t doubt that she?s stressed and upset and emotionally drained. But she?s not trapped she has outlets to vent, she has tons of support from her family, she has an endless amount of resources at her disposal and on and on. Saying that she?s ?trapped? does a disservice to the families out there struggling with similar mental illness issues who don?t have Kim?s access or resources or support.
People Magazine also did a lengthy piece also using ?sources? about Kim discouraging Kanye from running for president. This was also during her whirlwind trip to Wyoming. She apparently told him to ?focus on his mental health instead? of fake-running for president ?but he won?t listen.? Kim ?wants him to get his priorities straight and sources say Kanye hasnt seen the kids for weeks.

Taylor Swift dropped her latest album, folklore, last week. I?ve been hearing ?Cardigan? on the radio all week, and I?ve been enjoying it more and more every time I hear it. It?s a really nice, chilled-out summer song, and I actually think the tinge of sadness/nostalgia really works for this summer in particular. This is not the summer where people are partying non-stop. Perhaps bittersweet nostalgia vibes work best in a pandemic. That?s what critics are saying too, that this album is great and it?s got a really nice vibe and all of that. And as always, the sales are amazing. She sold more than 1.4 million albums/downloads in the first 24 hours. ?Cardigan? has been #1 on Spotify since it came out.
There?s been a lot of, uh, Snake Fam conversations about ?did Taylor reveal the baby name of Blake Lively?s third child,? and? okay, I get it, the fam loves some inane Taylor Swift blind items. But what?s even more surprising is that? there arent more of those blind items. Have you noticed that? Usually we would be knee-deep in conspiracies, thinkpieces, blind item mysteries and more. While Taylor has gotten great reviews, there?s also not a lot of media and gossip beyond that.
Personally, I?m more interested in her quarantine bangs and general styling around folklore. I?m enjoying the folksy styling, but the quarantine bangs have to go! Turns out, she styled herself for the ?cardigan? video she said: ?I even did my own hair, makeup, and styling. The entire shoot was overseen by a medical inspector, everyone wore masks, stayed away from each other.? That?s pretty awesome, because I was wondering about that. It?s one thing to create an album in quarantine, when people can work in separate studios or socially distance in a studio. But putting together a music video in lockdown conditions is something else. And she did it!
She also released a second video for Cardigan.
