Enjoying her time in the Big Apple Jessica Simpson ran some errands in New York City on Thursday (January 30).
The 33-year-old singer wore a super cute poncho with brown leather pants and boots as she smiled at the shutterbugs waiting for her on the street.
Meanwhile, Miss Simpson continues to show off her adorable family through her social media outlets.
Earlier in the week, the proud mother-of-two took to her Instagram account and posted a pic of her children Maxwell and Ace with her fiance, Eric Johnson.
"Bath time buds," she captioned the pic featuring the kiddos and dad after time in the bathtub.

Scarlett Johansson’s SodaStream commercial won’t be airing during the Super Bowl because it was banned for making disparaging remarks against competitors. Apparently you can only allude to the fact your competitor’s product tastes like morning breath.
That’s not the only issue to arise from her SodaStream deal though. Johansson, who’s been an ambassador for Oxfam for eight years, has left her role over a “fundamental difference of opinion.”
The point of contention is that Oxfam isn’t too thrilled that SodaStream, an Israeli company, manufactures some of its products in UN defined occupied territory in the West Bank.
SodaStream has a large factory presence in the West Bank, while Oxfam boycotts trade from Israeli settlements. The Palestinian Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement quickly called on Oxfam to drop Johansson over the sponsorship, which Oxfam did on Thursday.
Johansson disagreed saying she was a “supporter of economic cooperation and social interaction between a democratic Israel and Palestine” and argued that SodaStream was fostering peace by hiring 500 Palestinians alongside 800 Jewish and Arab residents of Israel.
Of course, that’s just a long-winded way of saying, “Dolla dolla y’all.”

She?s created quite a dust-up with her support for Israeli company SodaStream, and Scarlett Johansson parted ways with Oxfam International after serving as a global ambassador for the charity since 2007.
The ?We Bought A Zoo? actress released a statement via her spokesperson, explaining she backed out of her position because of Oxfam?s opposition of all trade from Israeli settlements.
Scarlett?s rep explained, ?Ms. Johansson has a fundamental difference of opinion with Oxfam. She has respectfully decided to end her ambassador role after eight years.?
?She and Oxfam have a fundamental difference of opinion in regards to the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. She is very proud of her accomplishments and fundraising efforts during her tenure with Oxfam.?
In response, Oxfam?s rep stated, ?Oxfam has accepted Scarlett Johansson?s decision to step down after eight years as a Global Ambassador and we are grateful for her many contributions.
While Oxfam respects the independence of our ambassadors, Ms Johansson?s role promoting the company SodaStream is incompatible with her role as an Oxfam Global Ambassador.?
?Oxfam believes that businesses, such as SodaStream, that operate in settlements further the ongoing poverty and denial of rights of the Palestinian communities that we work to support. Oxfam is opposed to all trade from Israeli settlements, which are illegal under international law.?

During last night?s episode of ?American Idol,? the ?On The Floor? songstress shared an embarrassing photo of herself from the early 1990s on ?In Living Color? as one of the ?Fly Girl? dancers.
Lopez also noted that she wasn?t as fortunate as the new contestants because ?Idol? wasn?t around back then. ?Would I have auditioned? Maybe. But I don't know.?
Additionally, Keith Urban also brought an awkward photo of himself when he was a sixteen-year-old rockstar hopeful at a talent competition.
He explained, ?I sang a song and one of the judges was giving some constructive feedback.
'Keith, what's actually showing up in your voice is just an immaturity. You have to do exercises. Either you get to a teacher or someone like that, who can give you these intervals?' But it didn't faze me. Everyone's got an opinion. You've got to know what to discard. We're just giving our opinion. That can start helping you come to life as an artist.?

Anna Faris was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel this week, where she was promoting her CBS show Mom, with Allison Janney. Kimmel brought up the fact that Anna’s husband, Chris Pratt, said in his last Kimmel interview that he planned to hunt and cook squirrels for Anna’s family over Thanksgiving. Anna confirmed that was the case, and that Chris often hunts squirrels with her brother.

I wish I could say it only happened once, but it’s happened many times.

I don’t, but it’s become a thing. My brother and my husband, uh, harvest squirrel during the holidays and they have to cook it outside on the barbecue because my mom refuses to have, I don’t know, the smell of cooking squirrel in her kitchen. I don’t know why.
They season it heavily, because you have to, it’s squirrel. Imagine you’re eating like the tiniest little thigh bones.

Anna also talked about her one and a half year-old son with Chris, Jack. She said he was “a big boy” and that he would probably join his dad hunting at some point. She added “it’s great, they’re dudes.” She came across very chill and funny, the more I hear from her the more I like her.
I don’t know much about hunting, but I know there are seasons for it and that for big game, like deer or bear, there are separate weeks when you can hunt with various weapons, from primitive to modern. The deer firearm hunting season is just two weeks in Virginia where I live. I looked up small game hunting regulations in Washington State, where Anna said she’s from, and you can trap or hunt the eastern gray squirrel all year. So what Chris and his brother in law are doing is legal.
Whether you think it’s ok to hunt squirrels or not depends on your thoughts on squirrels, hunting and meat-eating in general. I’m a meat eater, and I feel that hunting is a better way to get meat than factory farming. (Not that I hunt.) Yes squirrels are cute, but they’re not pets, they’re wild creatures. I can’t imagine they have much meat on them or that they’re tasty though. At least Chris and his brother-in-law are eating the squirrels they catch. They’re not just hunting them for sport.

Taylor Swift was by far one of my favorite people at the Grammys on Sunday. Her head-banging ode to a Gyllenhaal was a great performance, her Gucci dress was hot, her styling was on-point and she danced awkwardly and sang along to most of the performances, especially Kendrick Lamar (who knew she was such a fan?). But everyone was also talking about Taylor?s gasp-and-recovery face when she thought she won Best Album, but she lost to Daft Punk. Here?s the clip that was everywhere earlier this week:

If anything, this made me like her more. She?s a pro who wants to win but she isn?t mad when she loses. If this is true ? big IF ? then that?s what makes me dislike her a little bit. I don?t think people were laughing at that video because ?Haha, Taylor sucks.? It?s just a funny reaction shot, like Tommy Lee Jones? Grumpy Cat Face at the Golden Globes. But this is the problem with Swifty, isn?t it? She?s a total professional until someone makes even the smallest joke at her expense. Then it?s suddenly ?they?re going to hell? or this mess. Her reaction to Tina Fey and Amy Poehler?s Golden Globes joke last year is one of the reasons I kind of believe this HL story.

We talked yesterday about how Madonna joined Miley Cyrus onstage for Miley’s “Unplugged” episode. The general consensus was that Madonna was only looking for attention. Even moreso than Miley. The special aired last night, and … it wasn’t bad at all. I mean, Madonna sounded terrible when she sang (no question), which made Miley look good in comparison. The stripped down stage production also suits Miley more than her usual grand spectacle of crying emoji cats and sand dunes. The reviews coming in are also surprisingly good (Time magazine loved the show).
Even though Miley twerked on a (fake) horse and grabbed her crotch a few times, her voice sounded better than it has in a long time. Miley embraced her country roots although I’m not sure if she was simply making fun of them: “I tried to bring a little bit of Nashville here tonight.” The horse and Miley’s checkered red cowgirl outfit and bobbed wig are probably a good indication that Miley is having fun with all of us. Whatever the case, this show was a welcome change from Miley bending over to show us her lady parts. She also shared a great rapport with her audience by joking how she feels like she’s “at karaoke” and how “there’s nothing I can complain about. Well, I can’t be stoned when I perform – that’s a little something to complain about.” See? Miley’s making fun of herself.
Let’s get the worst of the show out of the way right now. Madge joined Miley onstage for a medley rendition of “Don’t Tell Me/We Can’t Stop.” Miley grinds her crotch against Madonna’s booty and adds a few spanks for good measure. Madonna needs a permanent vacation.

Yesterday, I covered the multiple issues people were having with Scarlett Johansson?s recent endorsement deal/advertising campaign for SodaStream. The SodaStream commercial was banned from airing during the SuperBowl because ScarJo name-checked Coke and Pepsi in the ad (Coke later said they didn?t have a problem with it, so I guess Pepsi had the issue). I also mentioned that Scarlett is being heavily criticized because SodaStream has a production plant in the West Bank. Scarlett is an Oxfam ambassador, and Oxfam (along with many other human rights organizations) has criticized the use of the West Bank for Israeli commercial property. Oxfam issued a statement about ScarJo?s SodaStream ad, but the statement was basically like, ?She?s free to do whatever she wants, but this whole thing is a disaster.? They did not push her out of Oxfam. But now she?s pulling out of Oxfam on her own:
Scarlett Johansson is ending her relationship with a humanitarian group after being criticized over her support for an Israeli company that operates in the West Bank.
A statement released by Johansson’s spokesman Wednesday said the 29-year-old actress has “a fundamental difference of opinion” with Oxfam International because the humanitarian group opposes all trade from Israeli settlements, saying they are illegal and deny Palestinian rights.
“Scarlett Johansson has respectfully decided to end her ambassador role with Oxfam after eight years,” the statement said. “She and Oxfam have a fundamental difference of opinion in regards to the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement. She is very proud of her accomplishments and fundraising efforts during her tenure with Oxfam.”
Earlier this month, “The Avengers” and “Her” actress signed on as the first global brand ambassador of SodaStream International Ltd., and she’s set to appear in an ad for the at-home soda maker during the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.
SodaStream has come under fire from pro-Palestinian activists for maintaining a large factory in an Israeli settlement in the West Bank, a territory captured by Israel in 1967 and claimed by the Palestinians.
In response to the criticism, Johansson said last week she was a “supporter of economic cooperation and social interaction between a democratic Israel and Palestine.”
Oxfam took issue with Johansson, noting it was “considering the implications of her new statement and what it means for Ms. Johansson’s role as an Oxfam global ambassador.”
Johansson had served as a global ambassador for Oxfam since 2007, raising funds and promoting awareness about global poverty. In her role as an Oxfam ambassador, she traveled to India, Sri Lanka and Kenya to highlight the impact of traumatic disasters and chronic poverty.
Oxfam representatives did not immediately return messages seeking comment.

Many of you took me to task for saying that Scarlett?s previous statement in support of SodaStream was ?realistic?. I still think it is. And I think her withdrawal from Oxfam is sad for both Scarlett and Oxfam. At the end of the day, the Israeli-Palestinian situation isn?t going to be solved because one American actress became a spokesperson for SodaStream and withdrew as an ambassador for Oxfam. She was raising money for them and working on their behalf about the 95% of issues they can agree on. This, to me, is throwing the baby out with the bath water. You?re going to throw away one of your ambassadors because she doesn?t agree with you about one the touchiest, most controversial and most complicated global issues in the world? And she?s going to walk away from eight years of humanitarian activism because she doesn?t agree with them? It?s sad. This could have been a teachable moment of nuance and education, but Oxfam and Scarlett both tapped out.

Gabrielle Union, 41, is engaged to Dwyane Wade, 32, who plays for the Miami Heat and has a very questionable record of fidelity. They’ve been together about four years, with the start of their relationship likely overlapping with Wade’s last marriage. It recently came out that Wade fathered a child with another woman early last year, while “on a break” from Union. He explained it by saying that “celebrity relationships are hard” and that Union was away filming at the time. Weak.
That’s background to the story that Union recently dropped a tidbit about her bathroom habits during an interview on Chelsea Handler. Union said that she told Wade that she goes three times a day, she leaves the door open, and she doesn’t light a match. Does she turn on the fan, though?
Handler: I think if you’re going to date someone you should get that [bathroom habits] out of the way
Union: From jump. There’s none of that ‘I don’t fart, I don’t poop.’ I have a high fiber diet. You’re gonna. This is happening. We’re doing this right from jump.
Handler: They need to see all the bad stuff, then otherwise when do you break it out?
Union: ‘Oh by the way, I go three times a day and I leave the door open! And I don’t light a match.’

I got this story through Fishwrapper, and they made it sound like Union was totally serious about this. She seemed like she was joking (you can see the clip here) so I’m hoping this isn’t exactly true. Maybe it is though and she was trying to make light of it.
I would like to address the “three times a day” issue. At my fittest I had a similar uh, schedule, and I remember one of my friends (a guy) bringing up the question and being surprised that someone went so frequently. Now I go about twice a day, but only when I exercise regularly. I won’t get into Dr. Oz/Cameron Diaz type details, but there’s a sense of accomplishment when you realize that everything is working well.
So in that respect I understand Union sharing the “three times a day” detail. That’s funny to me. It’s not funny that she expects her fiance to deal with her taking a dump with the door open every single time. (If that part is true.) Who does that? You close the door when you do your business, that’s common courtesy no matter how long you’ve been in a relationship. If you’re only doing number one that’s fine, you can leave the door open, but number two should always be private.
