Never one to miss out on a swanky shindig, Alessandra Ambrosio sauntered over to Laperouse restaurant to celebrate the Balmain Spring/Summer 2016 Paris Fashion Week presentation last night (October 1).
The 34-year-old Brazilian stunner wore a textured white minidress with a floor-sweeping coat and metallic pointed high heels as she hammed it up with fellow attendees including Balmain?s main man Olivier Rousteing.
Once her Paris Fashion Week duties have concluded, Alessandra will be back in prep mode as she?s slated to walk in the 2015 Victoria?s Secret Fashion Show, scheduled to air on CBS on December 8th!

As we learned a week ago, Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie are a couple now. They?ve been a couple for months, even though Morena only filed for divorce back in June of this year. Coincidentally, June was the same month that she got pregnant with Ben?s child. As you can imagine, Morena?s estranged husband Austin Chick is having some issues with this turn of events and to be quite honest, I don?t blame him. Morena is now using her pregnancy and her relationship with Ben ? and their plans to marry!!! ? as the reason why Chick shouldn?t have joint custody of their child together. Basically, the press is not really on Morena?s side. So an ?insider? close to Morena went to Us Weekly to explain what really happened:
Morena Baccarin and Ben McKenzie are ?genuinely happy with everything right now,? says a Baccarin source, who adds that Morena is trying not to let her contentious split from Austin Chick spoil her exciting news. ?But divorces are always stressful.?
Although Chick claims that the conception of the child Morena is currently carrying was right when they were trying to work things out, a source insists: ?There is nothing salacious. Morena and Austin were having problems for a long time and separated in the spring before things with Ben turned romantic. They started talking about divorce back then.?
As Morena?s three-year marriage fizzled, Morena turned to her leading man.
?They spoke on the phone as friends,? says the Baccarin source. ?Ben was her moral support and helped her get through a difficult time.? During the lengthy chats, the onscreen lovers fell for each other. Says the source: ?it turned romantic.?
Baccarin became pregnant almost immediately. ?I don?t know that it was planned, but it was very happy news. They were overjoyed.?
Still, they kept their romance under wraps when they resumed work in June. ?They didn?t blast their love with a megaphone. They are both reserved and acted that way on set,? says the source, who also tells Us Weekly that Ben and Morena are preparing for their new arrival and planning a wedding.

Here are some photos of Emily Blunt at the San Sebastian Film Festival a few weeks ago. I just never got around to posting them, so? my bad! I?m playing catch-up on other Emily Blunt stuff too. Earlier this week, she sat down for an interview with Howard Stern. Stern and Blunt sort of run in the same circles ? Stern is close to Jimmy Kimmel, Jennifer Aniston and that group, and Blunt and John Krasinski are sort of in that group. So there?s a familiarity there, but even then, Emily refused to answer some of Stern?s questions. The Michael Buble stuff made headlines earlier this week (but I didn?t really care about that stuff), and Emily also talked about being criticized for her jokes about becoming a citizen, and whether she was asked to do nudity for Sicario. Some highlights:
The citizenship controversy: ?I was bummed, I have to say. I was sort of astonished by the outrage, because it was meant completely as an innocuous joke. So I think I was more taken aback, so it did bum me out? I think it did make you feel like, Alright, I?ve got to be a little cagey. I think I realize that political jokes at this time of year are a little??
How she really feels about being an American: ?I do [feel good]. I mean, I have a real affection for the country. Been here a long time.?
She refused to do a nude scene in Sicario: ?[A nude scene] was in there originally but it came out because we didn?t agree with it? [And by ?we? I mean] my t-ts, they said ?We?re not doing it.? Benicio backed me up. It was a scene between he and I.?
On her 2005-08 relationship with Michael Buble, who Stern says ?was not faithful”: “Well . . . I don’t know if it was . . . I don’t know, it’s complicated. Now I’m going red! I never want to talk about it. We had a good time. I loved his family. I love his family. I still do.?

I?m sort of happy that Blunt didn?t get into details about her relationship with Michael Buble. He?s come out and talked about how he was a total douchebag during that relationship, and there?s really nothing she should say. As for her America-hatin? stuff, I think it?s interesting that her takeaway is that she needs to be ?cagey? about political questions. She?s not wrong! As for the nude scene in Sicario? I love that Benicio del Toro backed her up. Benicio helps out the sisterhood!

These are some photos of Courteney Cox out and about on September 17th. Yes, it could just be that the natural light was at an awkward angle, and yes, maybe CC was just feeling a little bit bloated that day. Except we know already that Courteney has been messing up her face for a while now. Back in August, we discussed some photos of Cox at a premiere in LA, and it looked like she was fresh from getting a ton of fillers injected into her face. It?s always particularly sad in Courteney?s case because she truly was a naturally beautiful woman. Is it LA? Is it a self-esteem issue? Is it trying to look the same age as her younger lovers? I don?t know. But apparently it?s gotten worse as Courteney tries to prepare for her wedding with Johnny McDaid.
Every bride wants to look her best when she floats down the aisle, but sources claim Friends star Courteney Cox, who?s been engaged to Snow Patrol rocker Johnny McDaid since June 2014, is taking her prewedding makeover to the extreme splashing out a whopping $100,000 on boot camps, surgery and detox retreats. But is it doing more harm than good? Witnesses were aghast when they spotted the actress eating lunch?or trying to?at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sept. 17.
“Courteney was barely recognizable!” dishes a diner. “Her face looked painfully swollen, to the point where it was hard for her to eat her salad, and her lips were huge!”
But those close to the 51-year-old bride state that she refuses to fess up to all the work she’s had done to prepare for the big day, even though the proof is written all over her face.
“It’s pretty clear that she’s gone overboard?and ironically, she looks older than if she’d just stopped at a little bit of Botox,” says a friend, adding that Courteney isn’t done at the docs just yet. “One of Hollywood’s hottest surgeries at the moment is the contour thread lift, and Courteney wants it right away. Threads are inserted into the face to create a lift. The recovery time is minimal, and you can see results immediately.”
Unfortunately, poorly done thread lifts can result in a “Joker smile,” and pals are trying to talk her out of it. But with her nuptials scheduled for the end of the year in Johnny’s native Northern Ireland, they say that Courteney isn’t being conservative?or truthful?about her nips and tucks.
“Not even Johnny knows how many procedures she’s had,” claims the source. “She’ll say she’s having a girl’s weekend away, but she’s really having work done.” Even more, sources add that Courteney’s clocking daily workouts and planning even more surgery before she ties the knot with Johnny. Yikes!

While the ?insider? sounds like a judgy bitch, I can?t say that the insider is telling any lies. Imagine how fresh and pretty Courteney would look if she had never touched her face at all? She would have some lines around her eyes and? that?s about it. That?s honestly the big fear that women have ? that they?ll have a few lines here and there. That they?ll look ?good for their age.? Also, the ?contour thread lift? sounds awful. It also sounds a lot like the ?ribbon lift? that Madonna got about six years ago that made her look like a gargoyle. Don?t do it. Please.

Well that was fast. About a month after introducing the press to her new boyfriend, photographer Bryan Randall, 49, he’s moved in with her. What’s more is that Sandra is said to have just adopted a baby girl. She also has a son Louis, 5, whom she adopted as a single mom in the wake of her high profile split from douchebag Jesse James. Sandra was spotted bringing the baby into a hospital, and outlets are reporting that she’s adopted a sibling for Louis. Here’s US Magazine’s report. They’ve run insider stories from Sandra so I suspect this is true:
Sandra Bullock made room in her seven-bedroom, 8,000 square foot Beverly Hills estate for one more. The star?s boyfriend of less than a year, Bryan Randall, ?still has his place, but he?s living at Sandra?s,? a source says. [Sandra], 51, and the photographer, 49, enjoy quiet nights at home with 5-year-old Louis, who [sic] Bullock adopted in New Orleans in 2010. ?Bryan and Sandra are total homebodies,? adds the source. But Bullock did venture out the evening of September 27. She was photographed carrying a baby girl into an LA hospital, leading some to speculate the actress adopted another child. (Her rep didn?t return calls for comment.) The move wouldn?t surprise Bullock?s pals. ?Sandra is a great mom,? says an insider. ?She?s very attentive.?

Radar reports that it’s true that Sandra has adopted a girl, and that she’s hoping Bryan will be a father figure. Remember how Sandra experienced that terrifying home invasion and had to hide in her closet, which was also equipped as a safe room? That was in June, 2014. After that she got a gorgeous German Shepherd for protection and hired a bodyguard. She met Bryan when he was hired to photograph Louis’s birthday party in January. He seems like somewhat of a badass and he probably makes her feel safe after all that she went through.
If it’s true that Sandra adopted a baby girl congratulations! I hope we’ll hear more about the baby as Sandra promotes Our Brand is Crisis, which is out at the end of the month. After that she might head to Wyoming, if that story from yesterday was true.

Anyway, Winslet has barely even started promoting Steve Jobs and I?m already exhausted with one particular story she?s telling about how she got the role of Joanna Hoffman, Jobs? right-hand lady. To hear Winslet tell it, everything was stacked against her! She was too blonde, too British, too romantic to play a hard-edged Polish-American woman who, if we?re being honest, probably should have been played by Lizzy Caplan. So Winslet fought The Man and bought a wig and BAM, an Oscar-winning actress convinced some friends to hire her. Sure. Here?s more from The Edit:

The first job I did [Heavenly Creatures, directed by Peter Jackson] was very prestigious, which helped me professionally but also in terms of how other people perceived my personal integrity. It made a huge difference; I walked right into luvvie central and was welcomed with open arms.?
Her advice to young actresses: ?They all seem to be doing OK. [Whispers] Some of them are a little bit thin [raises her voice again], but they all seem to be doing great. Shailene Woodley [her co-star in the Divergent films] ? whom I adore, respect, have a little bit of a girl crush on ? is an outstanding human being. She?s incredibly grounded, knows who she is and is doing great work, too.?

Selena Gomez covers the November issue of Flare magazine to promote her Revival album (which she executive produced). She’s wearing an Alexander Wang leather dress on the cover and looks stunning. Selena’s been wearing some amazing fashion as she promotes this album, and this editorial fits the new mood. This issue of Flare is available on Next Issue already and will hit newsstands on October 12. In this interview, she covers several topics, including whether or not she’s seeing someone, her media image, and her BFF, Taylor Swift. Selena also gets into the terrible body shaming that hit after she wore an ill-fitting bikini. Some excerpts:
On the past few years: “This has been a transitional season for me, personally and in my career. I had multiple revelations and big accomplishments in my life: a new label and a new team; I?ve been working out more and focusing on my music; and I got to do a couple of movies. I was really fighting for this transition. Then, it was frustrating to see how the media was portraying me; it was defamation of character. I’m young: I’ve lived my life in the public eye, and I’ve had to figure out how to do that. Ultimately, I am 23 and figuring out my life. I feel confident, I feel empowered, I feel in control.”
On Taylor Swift: “A bunch of women I look up to and admire are supporting one another, and Taylor has such a beautiful way of bringing people together. That was good for me, because the more I started working, the more uncomfortable I was. I wouldn’t trust people, and Taylor has a way of stripping down everything and just getting down to being human. I love that.”
On body shaming: “I was getting criticized [by the media] because I had gained weight. I was really bummed when I found out all that stuff was going on, and that?s when I was like, ‘I’m so tired of feeling like I’m being pulled down by something.’”
On dating: “I would never go on Tinder! I think it would scare me. I go on dates. It’s not that difficult – I’m a nice young lady [laughs] – but that’s not my focus. I’m really stoked about being with myself right now.”
On her Christian faith: “I respect all religions and I encourage people to have a higher power, however they feel it, because it is beautiful to have a relationship, in my case with the Lord. So I’ve always been open about that … I have compassion, I have forgiveness, I have understanding, and this is my life – this is how I choose to live it. I?ve never been disappointed in the choices I’ve made, which I’m proud of.”
Her version of sexiness: “I have my own definition of what I think is beautiful and sexy. That’s why, in [my new] video, I didn’t wear lingerie and I didn’t have a guy in it. It’s a woman in one of those raw, bare moments; she’s vulnerable, and that’s sexy.”

In a way, I see what Selena’s saying about feeling pulled down all the time. She gets hit by all sorts of media flak and Twitter bodyshaming lately, and it must be exhausting. She’s so eager to ditch the collective memory that she dated Justin Bieber, and that would be enough to make anyone batty. But I think Selena will be fine. She does have a solid head on her shoulders lately, and this new album promises to be something different and somewhat original compared to many of her previous releases. Oh, and this editorial is gorgeous.
