Jaimie Alexander's sprawling full body tattoo on "Blindspot" isn't dangerous.
In the show, Jaimie plays a mystery woman who wakes up naked in a duffel bag left in New York's Times Square with no memory of who she is or how she got there, and unable to recollect how she came to be covered in hundreds of tattoos.
It had been reported the fake inkings were making the 32-year-old actress ill after she was reportedly struck down with a pulmonary infection midway through filming of the first season.
However, at a party to celebrate the forthcoming second season of the hit show on Monday (16May16), she dispelled the rumours, telling PEOPLE Magazine: "(I) would not be wearing (the tattoos) on the show if they were bad."
In fact, Jaimie attributed recent pictures showing discoloured marks on her body to a less exotic problem - sunburn.
"I have a sunburn because I just went on an amazing vacation in Mexico," she explained.
"It's so funny. The cool thing was, I have sunblock, of course, and I was trying to hurry, because I'm impatient... and I literally put my hand over my shoulder. And I have a hand print (surrounded by) sunburn on my back and a thumbprint on my chest."
An attempt to cover the handprint with make-up didn't help either. "I thought, 'Oh, I should probably cover these with makeup.' But the problem was, the wrong kind of makeup was used and it looked like I had bruises. If I had that many bruises, the other person would be dead," she joked.
Jaimie previously revealed painting on the tattoos for the role can take as long as seven hours during which she can't even sit down.
"My full body is seven and a half (hours), so it can get pretty intense. I can?t sit down because when you bend your body it pulls the skin, and the tattoos are like a puzzle, so if one piece is off, the whole body is off," she told the New York Times.
"The makeup artist and I get some good coffee and good music and we chat, because I?m naked, so it?s like nobody?s pointing out the elephant in the room." (DMC/WNWCPL/SMD)

Here are some photos of Kristen Stewart in what is maybe my favorite Chanel look from the Cannes Film Festival. Kristen attended the photocall for Olivier Assayas? Personal Shopper, her second film with Assayas after her Cesar-Award-winning turn in Clouds of Sils Maria. While this Chanel minidress is just a shade too short (I doubt it covers her business while sitting), I like the sparkly-knit aspect of this Chanel look. It?s cute.
Before Cannes, I had no idea what Personal Shopper was about. Kristen filmed it in Paris late last year, and there were pap photos of her running around in modern clothes, and I just thought it was probably another meditation on fame and celebrity perhaps. But it turns out that Personal Shopper is about ghosts! It?s a ?ghost movie.? And it was booed at early Cannes screenings! Variety reports that some critics (not all) booed the film after the final credits rolled, although many major critics defended the film in their reviews and on Twitter, singling out Kristen for praise for her performance. As for the GHOSTS, Kristen says she sort of maybe believes in them. MOAR GHOSTS.
Kristen on believing in ghosts: “Do I believe in ghosts? I don’t know, I guess I believe in something. I’m really sensitive to energies and I truly believe I’m driven by something I can’t really define. It gives me a feeling we are not alone.”
Whether she likes ghosts or vampires better: “Ghosts.?
Working with Assayas: “We don’t talk to each other a whole lot. He never answers my questions. There is a communication that is undeniable. There is a flame he lights under my ass.”

We don?t talk about ghosts enough around here. There have been a few threads in the past where people told ghost stories and it freaked me out. Apparently, in this particular film, some of the critics were booing because of the ?ambiguous? nature of the ending, something about how K-Stew?s character things she?s in communication with her deceased brother but nothing is ever resolved? So… a French ghost film.

Here are some photos of Mariah Carey on Monday in New York. She was posing for paparazzi on the sidewalk, then she attended the NBC Universal Upfronts. On the carpet for the upfronts, Mariah tried to walk. By herself. Unaided. And of course she lost a shoe and stumbled. Because MARIAH CANNOT WALK BY HERSELF. When are her people going to learn that? She must have people propping her up at all times, if not carrying her. Thankfully, her people learned the lesson pretty quickly.
Mariah Carey was the centerpiece of NBCUniversal?s upfront presentation on Monday, and was carried onstage on a chaise by two men after she?d tripped on the red carpet earlier. At about 10:30?a.m. Carey showed up to Radio City Music Hall in a skintight sequin Balmain minidress, sunglasses, fishnets and sky-high platform heels that caused her to trip and lose a shoe on the red carpet. The diva ? at the event to promote her E! show, ?Mariah?s World? ? was one of the last to arrive to the NBCU event, with a huge entourage that included her own hairstylist and makeup artist.
While she did manage to remain upright during the treacherous carpet walk, spies said Carey?s glam squad touched her up no less than ?six times.? ?She was in the middle of an interview speaking, and her makeup artist applied lip gloss as her lips were moving,? a spy said. ?Her other stylist fixed her hair as she made her way down the carpet.?
Once inside, the ?Vision of Love? singer changed into a blinged-out bathing suit and had two shirtless men carry her out on a chaise.
?It was like they were carrying Cleopatra,? said a source. In a past concert rider, the singer famously insisted that she ?doesn?t do stairs.?
Meanwhile, fellow diva and reported longtime Carey nemesis Jennifer Lopez presented and was more low-key, arriving nearly an hour earlier than Carey, but without an entourage or the bling. We?re told the two never made contact at the presentation.

I laughed out loud at the part with her entourage touching her up as she was on the carpet. They were fixing her lipstick as she exerted the energy to speak! Thankfully, her reward for all of this WALKING was being carried on a chaise lounge. And I would love to know how those two shirtless men got that job. Those poor bastards.
E! also released the promo for Mariah?s World, her eight-part reality show in which Mariah can be seen bitching about the lighting on-camera, walking down stairs by herself, and then bitching some more.

Back in 2006 she burst onto the scene as Gabriella Montez in the original Disney Channel flick ?High School Musical,? and Vanessa Hudgens admits she still gets the movie?s songs stuck in her head.
The ?Spring Breakers? babe told Entertainment Tonight, "(I sing them) every now and then. Sometimes, someone will be like, ?We?re all in this together,? and then I?ll be like (starts singing), ?We?re all in this together!' It?s like reflexes.?
And as a result of the uber-successful HSM franchise, Hudgens has seen a resurgence in the musical genre- ?I love musicals. Being able to do musicals is such a dream of mine and the fact that they?re keeping it alive and bringing it to a new generation is really wonderful.?

As many of you know, I?m not a believer in Cara Delevingne. I can?t wait for her to go the way of Agyness Deyn, which is to say? mostly forgotten. I?ve long believed that she?s probably nothing more than an unprofessional brat, and I even have some evidence to back it up. But did you know that she?s also an incredibly privileged white woman who freaks out in train stations during routine security checks? And what?s amazing to me is that she had a full-fledged temper tantrum and nothing really happened to her. She was detained briefly and let go. Here?s what went down:
Cara Delevingne was detained for more than an hour after a four-letter ?meltdown? at Eurostar security staff. Onlookers say the model acted like a ?spoiled brat? as she erupted in fury on her way from Paris to London for her sister Poppy?s birthday bash. The bizarre incident was sparked as her luggage was pulled aside for a random check. As she swore at the officer and his colleague, the 23-year-old got down on her knees and pretended to pray she would be allowed to board the train quickly. But she calmed down and later apologized as she emerged from an interrogation room an hour later with red eyes as if she had been crying.
An onlooker said: ?It was a full-on meltdown in the middle of security. There were at least 20 people around and she didn?t seem to care who saw. It was like she thought she didn?t have to abide by the same rules as everyone else just because she?s famous. Cara was with a friend who was trying to calm her down, but it wasn?t working. She shouted ?let him do his f**king job, it?s ridiculous.’ She got down on her knees and put her hands together as if she was praying for the whole thing to be over. It was bizarre.?
A French security source told The Sun many officers are fed up with celebrities acting as if they are above the law. He said: ?Famous people often [don?t] seem to think the same rules apply to them as everyone else. But everyone is subject to the same security procedures regardless of how well known they are. Sometimes celebrities will behave as if they are above the law and will be rude for no reason. They need to learn they have to be treated the same as everyone else.?
After the model-turned-actress swore profusely at the first officer, another came over to try to calm the situation. But Cara began using her phone, despite signs saying it was not allowed, and took exception to being told to put it away. She screamed ?F?k you? at a female officer before being detained and taken upstairs to a private room away from stunned passengers. Cara, who was dressed in casual bottoms and a top, emerged an hour later with red eyes, which made passengers think she had broken down in tears during the interrogation. But after calming down, she apologized profusely to the officers and was able to board the next train. She escaped with a fine for verbal assault.

First of all? do you think she was carrying? I think she was carrying, and that?s why she had the meltdown. It was a well-timed hissy fit to distract security personnel from looking too closely at her baggage, so they wouldn?t find her stash. That?s my theory. As for the privilege of being a bitchy, sullen, aristocratic white woman? imagine if someone named Mohammed or Jamal had behaved that way to train station security. It would be a completely different story.

Here are some assorted photos of Kim Kardashian leaving her NYC hotel yesterday evening, and then on the carpet at last night?s Webby Awards. The Webbys are an annual event celebrating the best of the internet, and before you roll your eyes at Kim Kardashian specifically, just know that Lena Dunham won a Webby for launching Lenny, a Webby was given to #BlackLivesMatter activists for their social media campaign, and they paid tribute to Prince with a performance by Erykah Badu. So, Kim attended this year?s awards because she received the ?Break the Internet? award for all of her hard work of posting naked photos and such.
It’s a rule that Webby Awards acceptance speeches can only be 5 words long. And Kim Kardashian West certainly made her oration memorable. The reality star was honored with the first-ever Break the Internet award at Monday’s bash that was hosted by Nick Offerman.
“Nude selfies until I die,” Kardashian West, 35, said while accepting the award, which is named after the phrase she helped coin back in 2014.
The selfie queen showed off her post-baby weight loss in a curve hugging Vivienne Westwood LBD. Kardashian also later revealed on Snapchat that she opted out of wearing no false lashes, hair extensions, lipstick or jewelry because her makeup artist “Mario [Dedivanovic] was lazy.”
While it’s getting harder to keep track of how many nude selfies the mother of two has shared on social media, the one that stands out most was that controversial naked mirror selfie in March. Kardashian West’s nude pregnancy selfie is arguably a close second. The Keeping up with the Kardashians star’s husband Kanye West, who didn’t attend the show, also gave a memorable speech via video.
“I can’t stand short speeches,” West, 38, said as he accepted the award for artist of the year.

I?m looking at the close-ups of Kim?s face and she is made of lies. She did an ?undone? look, for sure, but she?s wearing a lot of makeup. Still, I wish she would do the undone look more often, because she looks so much younger and prettier and less plastic. As for everything else? will I sound like a Kardashian Apologist if I say that I understand why Kim would be recognized with a Webby for her online presence? Love it or hate it, Kim changed the way people approach social media, the art of selfies and more.
