If it?s not bad enough that actress Jaimie Alexander has to sit in a chair for seven hours so that makeup artists can apply the fake tattoos for her character on Blindspot, she?s also getting knocked around on the set. The 32-year-old actress got banged up while filming a fight scene for the NBC series on Monday. Jaimie took to Twitter to let her fans know, tweeting:
Broke my nose today during a fight scene. Somehow I feel that makes me cooler ???? #BLINDSPOT ?

Jaimie Alexander's sprawling full body tattoo on "Blindspot" isn't dangerous.
In the show, Jaimie plays a mystery woman who wakes up naked in a duffel bag left in New York's Times Square with no memory of who she is or how she got there, and unable to recollect how she came to be covered in hundreds of tattoos.
It had been reported the fake inkings were making the 32-year-old actress ill after she was reportedly struck down with a pulmonary infection midway through filming of the first season.
However, at a party to celebrate the forthcoming second season of the hit show on Monday (16May16), she dispelled the rumours, telling PEOPLE Magazine: "(I) would not be wearing (the tattoos) on the show if they were bad."
In fact, Jaimie attributed recent pictures showing discoloured marks on her body to a less exotic problem - sunburn.
"I have a sunburn because I just went on an amazing vacation in Mexico," she explained.
"It's so funny. The cool thing was, I have sunblock, of course, and I was trying to hurry, because I'm impatient... and I literally put my hand over my shoulder. And I have a hand print (surrounded by) sunburn on my back and a thumbprint on my chest."
An attempt to cover the handprint with make-up didn't help either. "I thought, 'Oh, I should probably cover these with makeup.' But the problem was, the wrong kind of makeup was used and it looked like I had bruises. If I had that many bruises, the other person would be dead," she joked.
Jaimie previously revealed painting on the tattoos for the role can take as long as seven hours during which she can't even sit down.
"My full body is seven and a half (hours), so it can get pretty intense. I can?t sit down because when you bend your body it pulls the skin, and the tattoos are like a puzzle, so if one piece is off, the whole body is off," she told the New York Times.
"The makeup artist and I get some good coffee and good music and we chat, because I?m naked, so it?s like nobody?s pointing out the elephant in the room." (DMC/WNWCPL/SMD)

It felt like Peter Facinelli moved on from Jennie Garth about two seconds after they split. There were always rumors ? persistent but hard-to-verify rumors ? that Peter had cheated on Jennie for years, that he was fooling around on her a lot, especially when he was in Canada filming the Twilight series. But as soon and Peter and Jennie were done for good, he moved on quickly with Jaimie Alexander, and they got engaged last year (Jennie Garth announced her engagement soon after too). While I didn?t think Jaimie and Peter would last very long, I was slightly surprised to see that they did manage to make it work for more than three years. But now it?s over ? they announced their split to People Magazine.
Nearly one year after getting engaged, Jaimie Alexander and Peter Facinelli are going their separate ways.
“Due to conflicting family and work commitments on opposite coasts, and after much consideration, Peter and Jaimie have chosen to part ways amicably and remain good friends,” their reps tell PEOPLE exclusively.
The Supergirl actor, 42, and the Blindspot actress, 31, were first linked in November 2012 eight months after Facinelli split with wife Jennie Garth. The duo last stepped out publicly at the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards in January.

I feel like there?s some other stuff going on, but kudos to them for not dragging it out and making it into some huge drama. I?m guessing a leopard doesn?t change his spots and once again Facinelli was probably fooling around. I don?t know enough about Jaimie to say if she?s capable of cheating, but I will say this ? her career is in much better shape than his right now. She?s got Marvel work, she?s on network TV, she?s getting magazine covers, she?s getting buzz as a Fashion Girl. It?s perfectly possible that she outgrew him and she was the one to end it.

Jaimie Alexander has a great publicist. A few years ago, I could barely pick Jaimie out of a line-up, and now she?s killing red carpets, getting major magazine covers and starring in her own network drama. Of course, her role on Blindspot is causing drama, but that just ups her name-recognition even more. Plus, she?s engaged to Peter Facinelli, which? er, good luck with that! Anyway, Jaimie covers the new issue of Shape Magazine and she comes across as a very tough woman. Physically tough, resilient, strong. It?s nice ? most actresses spend their interviews talking about yoga, diets and Pilates. Jaimie talks about boxing, wrestling, push-up competitions and eating all the time.
Skinny is so not her goal in life. “I pretty much eat all day to keep my strength up. I?m primarily a vegetarian who has an occasional side of fish. When I trained for the movie Thor, there were days when I was burning 4,000 calories and I had to slam lots of protein shakes. Now my day starts with a green shake called Garden of Plenty, which is packed with superfoods and grains. When I?m working, craft services makes me these amazing gluten-free wraps with lots of vegetables and ?vegannaisse? or hummus. I generally keep my diet pretty healthy, but if there?s pizza, I?ll eat it. And I will knock back a beer or some bourbon, too. I don?t deprive myself. And I hate being skinny. It?s not a good look for me. When I eat well and work out, I?m truly at my best.”
She was a wrestler in high school. “In competition, I only went up against females, but I trained with the guys because there weren?t enough girls on my school team. All the discipline and perseverance I have now comes from that sport. I get through all the intense physical training for Blindspot because of what I learned from wrestling.”
She learned to box with Chris Hemsworth. “I wasn?t very healthy in my twenties?I sat around and ate a lot of crap, and my weight peaked at 150 pounds. Then I got the part in Thor. I felt as if I had a whole new purpose in life. I was like, I can do this, but I was so out of shape. Chris and I started boxing to train for our roles, and I became the athlete I was in high school. I lost 20 pounds and packed on a ton of muscle.”
On her pushup contest with Arnold Schwarzenegger: ?I made a movie called The Last Stand with Arnold, and everybody went to the gym together. It was super intimidating to work out with him because he was curling a gazillion pounds, but I did it. On set, the crew had a perfect push-up contest, which Arnold supervised. I lost, but I learned that I can do 25 of them, so I felt pretty good about it.?
On getting (glued) into character: ?When I read the script for Blindspot, I said, Wow, this ticks all my boxes.? The character is vulnerable but tough. The role uses my sports and fighting background. And my character?s body is a massive canvas with an endless number of tattoos. They?re actually glued onto me. The first time I got all the tattoos applied, my body kind of went into shock because my skin ? my largest organ ? was covered with glue! But once I relaxed, it was extraordinary, especially when I caught sight of myself in the mirror. Every Friday I take off the tattoos, and every Monday we put them on again. This has been such a cool role for me to play because honestly, if I weren?t an actress, I?d be fully sleeved with tattoos anyway.?
On being engaged to a vampire: ?I never saw myself getting married or having children. It just wasn?t on my agenda. But being with Peter [Facinelli, who played a vampire in the Twilight series] is the best-case scenario, because he has these three beautiful kids and I?m so happy to be in their lives.?

She comes across as very matter-of-fact, direct and dare I say, butch. That?s not a slam ? people always say that I?m butch, that I write, think and talk like a dude. So I recognize that quality in other women and I don?t think it?s a put-on in Jaimie?s case. She also tells the magazine that her current workout is called The Prison Workout, and she trained with a Navy SEAL for Blindspot. She really IS that tough.

Sixteen hours ago, I really didn?t think I would be naming Jaimie Alexander as one of my favorite people on the Golden Globes red carpet, but here we are. She absolutely was one of my favorites, and I think it?s because I?m a sucker for a bold graphic fabric. Jaimie wore this Genny gown with a fantastic emerald green print. She arrived early and posed her ass off, as I would have too in this gown. You could tell that she loved it and that made the dress even better. Plus, she didn?t shy away from accessorizing with emerald jewelry (love it), nor did she shy away from leaving her collar unadorned. I like that. Everything was on point here.
For about an hour during the red carpet show, I thought Eva Green was Krysten Ritter. That?s not an insult to either lady, but before last night, I never realized how they look alike. Especially now that Eva is doing her hair like this. Eva wore Elie Saab, which is utterly boring. She shouldn?t wear beige/nude either.
Sophia Bush in Narciso Rodriguez. CB said this was boring, and it sort of is in photos. It was prettier in motion, where it sort of had a sophisticated, minimalist vibe. I think it was a decent choice for a TV girl.
Here?s Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan. She wore Zuhair Murad, a pretty if somewhat unremarkable dress. As soon as they hit the red carpet, people were just talking about Channing?s weird hair though.
Speaking of weird hair? Brad Pitt & Ryan Gosling didn?t walk the carpet, but word is that they were each other?s dates. They presented together and did a bit and it was funny. But I have a few questions. One, why was Brad so? ?tight? looking? He seemed especially scrubbed and wrinkle-free. Also: why was Brad so orange and Ryan was such a lovely, normal color?

On Friday, Page Six had an interesting item about Jaimie Alexander, the star of NBC?s Blindspot. You may also known Jaimie from the Thor movies, or maybe you know her from her engagement to Peter Facinelli. Anyway, Page Six said last Friday that Jaimie is being a major pill on the set of Blindspot, that she?s getting people fired right and left and she?s trying to get her co-lead, Sullivan Stapleton, fired. She?s also pretty cranky because it apparently takes SEVEN HOURS to apply her character?s tattoos (which cover almost all of her body). Well, here?s another interesting story about Jaimie, again from Page Six. Their sources claim that Jaimie is convinced that her fake body tattoos are making her sick. Huh.
Jaimie Alexander ? star of NBC?s hit ?Blindspot? ? allegedly believes the fake tattoos covering her body all day are poisonous and making her sick. Production on the show was halted last week with the firing of four makeup artists who were spending seven hours each day applying Alexander?s temporary ink. A hairdresser was also let go.
The series? story began with Alexander?s character waking up naked in Times Square covered in mysterious tattoos. ?[Alexander has] become convinced the ink is toxic and making her sick,? one source told me. Suffering a pulmonary infection, the actress brought her doctor onto the Brooklyn set where Warner Bros. is midway through shooting the first season. NBC has already renewed the drama for Season 2.
Tat?s not all. Alexander is said to hate her co-star Sullivan Stapleton, who plays FBI agent Kurt Weller.
?She tried to have him fired and replaced, which is pretty amazing considering their characters are supposed to develop a romantic interest,? said my source.
As tension has mounted on the set, the producers have been using doubles more and more to allow Alexander to leave early.
?She has a stunt double, a photo double for on-screen shots and, increasingly, they use a body double,? my source said.
Alexander?s publicist Craig Schneider called my story ?entirely unfounded and inaccurate,? and said, ?That?s what happens when a disgruntled former employee provides you with intel.?

I complained about Jaimie?s publicist last Friday too, because his statements are ridiculous. He got all pearl-clutchy about the very IDEA that an actor would EVER order certain people off the set or pull rank to get certain people fired, like Craig Schneider has NEVER heard of that happening. So now he?s saying that these stories are total crap? AND that they?re coming from a disgruntled ex-employee (who was likely fired at Jaimie?s behest). As for the alleged toxicity of the fake tattoos? I don?t know. What do you think? I would be really interested in learning what kind of ink or henna or whatever they were using on her.

Jaimie Alexander made a bit of a Twitter splash last night at the Emmys. People were a little surprised because she generally likes to draw attention to herself by showing a lot of skin. In contrast, this Armani Prive dress covered everything up. There’s an ready explanation in the form of her Blindspot tattoos. Jaimie told Giuliana that she couldn’t remove all of the residual dye, and she even had some visible ink on her neck. This show had better work out for all this makeup trouble, right? Jaimie looked really pretty in this reflective, multicolored dress. The stripes remind me of those colored rocks you find in caves. Her hair is all slicked back for “the wet look,” but it works because this ensemble would otherwise overpower.
Emma Roberts wore a pale, Grecian-inspired Jenny Packham dress that wasn’t my favorite. Since her hair is blonde now, and her skin is so pale, she needed a darker color to prevent looking washed out. Otherwise, her styling with a simple necklace strand and a bold clutch, was good, and her makeup was very pretty. Emma has a beautiful smile, even if she often plays terrifying characters these days.
Aubrey Plaza went basic but not at all boring with this Alexandre Vauthier dress. The deep v-neck and the high-thigh split make this dress more interesting than it would otherwise be. The glittery red sequins dress up the jersey-style fabric. Her hair is a little too perfect, and I think it would have been a fun contrast to add some volume.
Jane Krakowski looked uncomfortable in a Pink and black Bibhu Mohapatra gown with a slight fishtail. I didn’t like this dress at all but get what she was going for — old Hollywood glamour. It just didn’t execute so well, and she’s pose harding like crazy.
Kathryn Hahn wore a Vivienne Westwood dress that was too casual, which is heartbreaking. This dress would have been funky enough for a red carpet premiere, but it looks a little too chaotic for the Emmys. A sleek updo may have helped balance the wildness.

This story is already a day old, but I wanted to talk about Jaimie Alexander’s new show too. Here she is with her stunt double, and those are always the coolest photos. Jaimie will take her first leading lady turn on Blindspot, which sounds like a Memento knockoff. Her character wakes up naked and has to find clues in her full-body tattoos, so it’s going to be a hot mess. NBC is counting on showing as much skin as possible without getting in trouble with the censors, and the tattoo gimmick will run thin very fast. Can’t see them maintaining decent storytelling past a season or two, but maybe Marvel fans will show up for Lady Sif with sex-ay tattoos. I can’t even imagine how much time it takes to apply all that fake body art before every day of shooting, and Jaimie’s stunt double has to go through it too.
Jaimie sat down with People to promote the show, and she dropped a little story about how she once kicked some pervy producer butt:
Jaimie Alexander plays a skilled fighter on Blindspot, but the actress has also found use for her stage fighting skills off-camera as well.
“I’ve knocked out a producer before,” the Thor actress, 31, says in the lasted issue of PEOPLE.
Not that Alexander, whose new NBC drama premieres Sept. 21, is advocating violence.
